Ep. 1408 - The Media Desperately Tries To Turn Mediocre Kamala Into A Star
Today on the Matt Walsh Show, the process of trying to turn the mediocre Kamala Harris into a transformational culture icon has begun, and it's as nauseating as you'd expect. Also, huge news here at the Daily Wire as we unveil the trailer for my new film, which will be hitting theaters very soon. Stay tuned for that. And the media says it's sexist to point out that Harris is childless. But that fact is actually very relevant, and I'll explain why.

If there's one indisputable strategic advantage that Democrats possess, it's that they don't really have a political party in the traditional sense, they have a cult.
The slogans come down from on high, and overnight the yard signs go up, no human is illegal, black lives matter, defund the police, and so on.
They'll invent quasi-religious explanations for events they don't understand or don't want to understand, and then they'll use the entirety of the corporate media and academia to present those explanations as fact.
Hurricanes are caused by man-made climate change, therefore we need environmental justice.
Black people go to prison because of systemic racism, therefore we need DEI, etc.
Anybody who dissents is immediately cast out into the wilderness.
Now if you want to create a stable functioning country, this kind of mindless collectivism is obviously counterproductive, but Democrats' goal is not to create a stable or functioning country.
Their goal is to mobilize and to win.
They don't have time for internal debates or self-doubt or introspection of any kind.
They move quickly.
Over the past two days, this machinery has turned into overdrive following the coup that dethroned Joe Biden.
Already, we're being told by every mouthpiece for the Democrat Party that Kamala Harris is their presumptive nominee.
She's locked up all the delegates without earning a single primary vote from an actual voter.
And on top of that, the media tells us Kamala Harris is setting fundraising records left and right.
In fact, she's raised tens of millions of dollars in just 24 hours via ActBlue, the Democrat Party's major fundraising platform.
Watch.
Hey there, good morning.
Yeah, it's being reported that Vice President Kamala Harris spent all day Sunday making calls to reinforce support from key Democratic officials and secure Democratic delegates behind her White House campaign.
ActBlue says nearly $50 million has been raised in the hours following the news.
That's actually the biggest fundraising day of the 2024 cycle and the single biggest day for online Democratic donations in more than 20 years.
In a statement, organizers say grassroots supporters are energized and excited to support Harris.
So this is the biggest online fundraising day that the party has seen in more than 20 years, according to that report.
In other words, even Barack Obama in his prime cannot top what Harris just achieved.
Sort of like how Biden supposedly got more votes than Obama in 2008.
Now Harris is already bringing in more cash than Obama.
And by the way, since that report has aired, Harris has apparently raised tens of millions more.
She clocked in at over $80 million in total donations in 24 hours.
Her campaign claimed that nearly 900,000 donors individually gave money to the campaign on its first day of existence.
And the suggestion is that pretty much all of that money is coming from grassroots donors via the ActBlue platform.
So we're meant to conclude that all of those grassroots donors were holding on to their money until the split second that Joe Biden left the ticket.
And immediately, as soon as Joe Biden was out, all of these donors pulled out their credit cards with the intent of giving money to Harris's campaign.
They didn't even wait to see if she'd win any delegates or if there would be an open convention.
They just donated straight away.
Suddenly the candidate who didn't even make it to the Iowa caucuses when she ran for office in 2020 is now overwhelmingly popular among everyday Democratic Party donors.
That's how big of an albatross Joe Biden was.
Now what's not mentioned in that news report or any other of the reports like it are the many questions that have been raised about how exactly ActBlue collects money.
A year ago, the investigative journalist James O'Keefe looked into the fundraising platform.
He spoke to several supposedly grassroots donors who, according to ActBlue, have donated a lot of money to political candidates or causes, hundreds of thousands of dollars in some cases.
O'Keefe also crashed one of ActBlue's meetings at a hotel in Boston.
And here's what he found.
The first thing I did was strike up a few conversations with ActBlue staffers.
I told them I was a friendly donor, and I didn't mind if the organization used my name and address to launder money into candidate coffers.
I'm a supporter.
I'm a donor to you guys.
I gave you $500.
That's sweet.
You can use my grandmother too.
You can use her name if you want.
That's cool.
You remember our stories from earlier this year about ActBlue's fundraising practices.
We found a handful of donors who gave small amounts to ActBlue.
But when ActBlue reported the donations to the Federal Elections Commission, something didn't add up.
We wanted some answers.
We spoke to Nancy Duden, the retiree from Maryland, who said she only donated a couple hundred dollars to ActBlue since January.
How much does ActBlue claim she has donated this year?
More than $16,000.
Nancy wasn't the only seemingly unaware retiree being used to mask these donations.
Garland Riggs, an older gentleman who lives outside of Washington, D.C., says there's no way he has given ActBlue $230,000 in the past four years.
Carolyn Lenz from Tucson apparently given ActBlue $170,000 in the past several years.
Now, Keefe's reporting obviously raises the question of whether money from wealthy donors, including potentially foreign donors, is being laundered through supposedly grassroots ActBlue donors.
In response to Keefe's coverage, Senator Marco Rubio sent a letter to the Federal Election Commission, quote, demanding the agency investigate alarming reports of widespread fraudulent donations by ActBlue.
The FEC responded by stating that ActBlue, quote, does not require a card verification value number for online donations, which increases the risk of fraud.
So the idea is that some fraud may have occurred, but nobody really knows.
There are some other reasons to doubt the fundraising numbers we're hearing today.
For example, ActBlue has publicly pledged to match 900% of donations to Harris' campaign in recent days.
So at the moment, it's not exactly clear how much money is being rerouted to Harris from
ActBlue itself in the form of matching donations.
ActBlue is a vast fundraising apparatus that can allocate money from its various campaigns.
So what we can be certain of is that there's very little oversight of fundraising platforms
like this, as one Carrie Lake advisor, Caroline Wren, just pointed out.
Watch.
In the last 36 hours, they've said that Kamala has raised $100 million via ActBlue.
ActBlue is the largest money laundering operation in the country.
It truly is.
There's money coming through Ukraine, foreign donations.
They don't even report anything under $100.
You don't have to report.
And it's just a joke to me that $100 million would come in online for Kamala Harris.
But that is what they announced, and that is certainly what will be deposited into their bank account.
You know, we had a bit of a head start at the beginning of July.
The Trump campaign closed the money gap, and the campaign announced they had $285 million cash on hand.
The RNC had $100 million, so that was about $385 million cash on hand between the two.
The Biden campaign had $240 million cash on hand.
The DNC had $78 million, so they had about $318 million.
So we were outpacing them by, I don't know, about $70 million.
Well, they just added $100 million and counting into that, right?
Now, in a country with a functioning system of elections, we'd have absolute confidence that every ActBlue donation matches up with an actual human being who actually donated that amount of money.
The truth is that we can't have that confidence after seeing reporting like O'Keefe's.
We're being lied to so often by so many sources that it's difficult to have confidence in pretty much any aspect of our elections at this point.
And that's especially true in an election like this one, where the coronation of Kamala Harris is so over-the-top and artificial that it's actually hard to watch.
In a span of about two weeks, the corporate press went from claiming that Joe Biden is totally fine and he's going to be president again and all that, to full-on pretending that Kamala Harris is the next Barack Obama.
Of course, when he ran for president, Barack Obama earned more than 5% support in his home state.
He didn't drop out before the Iowa caucuses.
And Barack Obama, for all of his many faults, did not cackle like a character from The Wizard of Oz at every opportunity.
Say what you will about him, but he actually had something called charisma.
And Kamala Harris doesn't have any of that.
And up until about 15 seconds ago, everybody in the media acknowledged that.
That's why they fought so hard to keep Biden in the race until it was impossible.
But you're supposed to forget all of that now because, you know, the orders from Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and Alex Soros have come down.
And therefore, now we get cable news segments like this.
Free at last, free at last.
Kamala Harris is unleashed.
She's just brilliant.
The energy that's coming off of her is the energy that's coming off of the American people.
Look, I mean, this is 2008 vibes already.
She's done, in literally 48 hours, Things that were considered impossible.
She got the nomination.
She took over cultural, she's a cultural phenomenon now.
TikTok loves her.
She raised more money than anybody.
She signed up 50,000 people.
You can do your whole career and not get 50,000 volunteers.
She did it in 48 hours.
You are witnessing the birth of a cultural phenomenon.
And you need a cultural phenomenon to stop a cultural phenomenon.
Donald Trump is a cultural phenomenon.
So now you've got two superpowers colliding, but this one just came out of nowhere.
Listen, a week ago, two weeks ago, people were like, hey, Kamala Harris, I don't know.
She can't win.
I don't like her.
Blah, blah, blah.
All those people are marching in line and getting in formation.
It's unbelievable to watch.
Marching in line and getting information.
That's a very, well, that's an apt way of putting it, in fact.
As nauseating as that clip is, it's the norm now.
There's plenty more like it.
All across the corporate press, self-described journalists are falling over themselves to pretend that Harris is the second coming of their messiah.
For example, a senior reporter with CNN broke this news over the weekend, breaking news here, listen to this, quote, One person familiar with the VP yesterday said, through all of her calls at the Naval Observatory, Harris wore a hooded Howard University sweatshirt, workout sweats, and sneakers.
They got pizza and salad for dinner.
She went with her favorite topping, anchovies.
I cannot believe that anyone actually puts ancho- I thought that was a meme.
I didn't think that was a thing anyone actually did.
Like, in real life, you put- do they even- what pizza place even- is that an option?
I've never seen that on a menu at any pizza place ever.
Anyway, that's not really the point.
In response to that groundbreaking bit of reporting, a supervising producer with the BBC responded, quote, The Howard sweatshirt is an important detail here.
Important.
It's an important detail.
For Harris, this is about where she came from as much as what lies ahead.
Howard is the first place she looks for when Air Force Two lands in Washington.
So this is what we can expect for the next three and a half months.
After the debate, the corporate press did everything they could to destroy Joe Biden so they could replace him on the ballot.
They were vicious.
And now that the replacement has arrived, they are reduced to reporting on what she's wearing and the kind of pizza she's eating.
And this is all very transparent.
This is what they do when they want to make someone into a cultural icon, as we just heard from Van Jones there.
We obsess over every little detail.
Now the media, which was going after Democrats, the Democrat president uncharacteristically for a few weeks, now they're completely harmless all of a sudden.
This is how the collective operates.
They're ruthless to their enemies.
They're shameless about promoting their allies.
Principles like integrity or fairness simply do not matter to them.
They don't matter to the Democrats on Capitol Hill either.
They're also convinced that they've found the next Obama, or they want to convince us that they've found that.
So here's one of the more dystopian clips you'll see.
Watch as Chuck Schumer explains that Kamala Harris was chosen by a bottom-up grassroots process.
As opposed to party elites working behind closed doors to oust the candidate who just won 15 million votes in the primaries.
And then when Chuck Schumer is asked by a reporter about this preposterous claim, he doubles down on it.
Watch.
So now that the process has played out, from the grassroots bottom up, we are here today to throw our support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
I'm clapping.
You don't have to.
Yes.
I know you said that this was a bottom-up process, but Kamala Harris is the Vice President of the United States.
There was no other competition.
This is going to be selected by party delegates, insiders, essentially.
What's your case to the American people and to the Democratic voters that voted for Joe Biden that this isn't a coronation?
The bottom line, it was a bottom-up process.
People just rallied right to her side.
The enthusiasm in this big, diverse, representative party was amazing.
It was palpable.
You could cut it with a knife.
Yeah, it was the grassroots that ousted Biden and put Kamala Harris in his place.
Grassroots people like Barack Obama, George Clooney, Nancy Pelosi.
Billionaire donors.
Grassroots.
You know, just average, everyday working Americans.
The kind of folks that if you go down to the local diner, you know, on a Sunday morning after church, you might see them there.
Those types.
Now the word gaslighting is overused, but there's really no other way to describe this footage.
The Democrats' leader in the Senate, who just a week ago was telling us he supports Joe Biden, now says he supports Kamala Harris.
And he's claiming the voters want her to be the candidate, even though party elites like Chuck Schumer just did everything they could to prevent the voters from having any say in the process of selecting Kamala Harris.
Now the truth is Chuck Schumer understands that most voters see Kamala Harris for what she is, a diversity hire who was chosen because Joe Biden insisted on picking a woman, even if she lacked any kind of charisma or accomplishment.
And the more they tell you that Kamala Harris is some sort of transformational once-in-a-generation figure, the more they are revealing that they don't believe any of it.
It's all an act.
They're protesting too much, as the saying goes.
All the astroturfed TikTok videos trying to make Kamala Harris look cool and interesting are just, just all of them are unconvincing in the extreme.
And the efforts look all the more ridiculous because Harris is running against Donald Trump, who like him or not, is one of the most transformational political figures in American history.
He actually is a cultural icon.
And he's a genuinely compelling figure.
And he just had one of the most iconic moments of any public figure in American history when he survived the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, raised his fist in the air, face bloodied, and told the crowd to fight.
I mean, a moment that very few public figures in any sphere of life in all of American history have ever had.
Certainly a moment unlike anything that Kamala Harris has ever had.
But as overt and patronizing as all of this lying may be, the fact remains that, you know, it might work.
Republicans would be making a grave mistake if they underestimated the potential for Kamala Harris to win the next election.
Already, we've seen the length that Democrats in the corporate press are willing to sink in order to boost her candidacy, and they're getting more and more desperate with every passing hour.
They're rolling out every dirty trick in their arsenal, and they aren't done yet.
In fact, now they're even using the assassination attempt in Butler against Trump.
Last night, the Washington Post reported that the Secret Service is telling Donald Trump
he has to change the way he campaigns.
Quote, "Secret Service officials encouraged Donald Trump's campaign to stop scheduling
large outdoor rallies and other outdoor events with big crowds after the assassination attempt
in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to people familiar with the matter.
In the aftermath of the shooting, agents from the Secret Service communicated their concerns
about large outdoor rallies going forward to Trump campaign advisors.
Trump has held hundreds of outdoor rallies since launching his first presidential bid.
They've become something of a cult favorite among his passionate fans, with tailgate parties
in parking lots, vendors lining open areas near the rally, and large parades of traffic,
often with gargantuan pickup trucks."
Unquote.
Translation, because the Secret Service is unable or unwilling to do their job of protecting
Donald Trump, they're going to hamstring one of his campaign's most important assets.
It's like they're basically threatening Trump when you get down to it.
They're saying that if he holds another outdoor rally, they can't guarantee they can protect him.
Supposedly, the Secret Service simply doesn't have the ability to make sure that 20-year-olds with AR-15s don't get into perfect firing positions 140 yards away.
It's just not possible.
Therefore, Trump's whole campaign strategy needs to change.
By the way, there's no reporting from the Washington Post about Kamala Harris having
to hold indoor events.
Apparently, this request is only for Donald Trump, maybe because he's the only candidate
who can draw large enough crowds to justify outdoor rallies.
For now until Election Day, the Trump campaign is then going to have to be as disciplined
and focused as possible to overcome all of these efforts to undermine Trump and promote
his opponent.
As I said before, it would be a mistake to hit Kamala from the left for jailing so-called
low-level offenders when she was the AG of California or anything like that.
Even playing into her status as a DEI hire shouldn't be overdone.
I mean, it is a fact about her that we should talk about.
Don't get me wrong.
But the core problem with Kamala Harris is not how she was installed by party elites.
It's not that she's a diversity hire, even though she is.
It's certainly not how she handled truancy and marijuana use in California.
The core problem with Kamala Harris is that she's promised to be a rubber stamp for every single bad idea that so-called progressives have had for the past decade.
From defunding the police, to decriminalizing illegal immigration, to eliminating private health insurance, to allowing illegal aliens to access taxpayer-funded public health care, to passing a Green New Deal, to banning offshore drilling and fracking, to abolishing ICE, to allowing terrorists to vote.
Kamala Harris supported all of these proposals, as terrible as all of them are, not because she thought about them in any great detail.
She can't really think about anything in great detail.
She supports them because, like Joe Biden, she's listless and completely unprincipled.
If Republicans communicate that simple and obvious fact to voters, then none of the inflated fundraising numbers or corporate media hype will matter.
The Democrat collective will be exposed for what it is.
Ruthless and totally disingenuous.
And collectively, in November, they will lose.

So let's start with big news here at The Daily Wire, and for me personally.
You may remember, if you've been watching the show for a while, back last summer in 2023 when I missed several weeks of shows over the course of the summer and told you that I was missing the show because I was working on some big projects, one big project in particular.
And I've mentioned the project vaguely every once in a while since then.
And I know that there were some members of the audience who had given up hope that That project would never be revealed.
Maybe you thought that it was just an excuse I was making because I wanted to go on vacation and be lazy.
But, you know, for all of my faults, I like to think that when I tell you that I'm working on a big thing, it's
because I am.
And it may take a while, but if I'm working on it, you're going to see it.
And now, at long last, I can reveal it to you.
This thing has been a very long time in the making.
We've been working on it behind the scenes all this time, really for over a year.
And last night, we finally debuted the trailer for my new film, which is called Am I Racist?
And that's the question that began my journey well over a year ago.
A very personal journey into anti-racism and DEI.
A sort of racial awakening, perhaps.
So let me play the trailer for you, if you haven't seen it yet.
Here it is.
Let's be clear, what's happening in this country, it's Nazism.
Republicans are Nazis.
You cannot separate yourselves from the bad white people.
Growing up in the 90s, I never thought much about race.
Sure, you noticed, but it never really seemed to matter that much.
At least not to me.
Being a white, straight, cisgender man, it's the top of the pile.
I'm on the top of the pile.
That's me.
Am I racist?
I would really appreciate it if you left.
I'm trying to learn.
I'm on this journey.
Can you please leave?
If I'm going to sort this out, I need to go deeper undercover.
If I want to be an ally, I need to look like one.
♪♪ -What is racism?
Martin Luther King said not to judge people by their... Martin Luther King said a lot of stuff.
Is America inherently racist?
What the hell is that?
The word inherent is challenging there.
America is racist to its bones.
All of the... So inherently?
Yeah.
The entire system has to burn.
And I'm not going to even use save this country.
This country is not worth saving.
This country is a piece of s***.
Oh, sorry.
Sorry.
Joining us now is Matt, certified DEI expert.
Here's my certification.
Where are you guys in your anti-racist journeys?
So look around the room and point to who we believe is the most racist person in the room.
We want to rename the George Washington Monument to the George Floyd Monument.
Would you mind signing it?
You will?
What do you think about this issue of heteronormativity and how it intersects with the broader structures of racism in society?
What's up with white people?
What are you doing to de-center your whiteness?
Who's making the de-center?
Why are they doing that?
And what you're doing is you're stretching out of your whiteness.
This is more for you in this field.
White.
Folks.
White.
Trash.
White supremacy.
White woman.
White boy.
White.
Entitlement.
White.

White.
Silence.
Is there a black person around here?
There's a black person right here.
Does he not exist?
Hi, Robin.
Hi.
And what's your name?
I'm Matt.
Matt.
Hi, Matt.
Nice to meet you.
I just had to ask who you are because you have to be careful.
Never be too careful.
They gonna say you racist, but they call everybody racist.
Oh, oh, oh.
So that's the trailer.
One thing I can tell you about the trailer is that we definitely did not put the best moments of the movie into the trailer.
I know a lot of times you see a trailer and then you go see the movie and you think, okay, so I didn't even need to watch this movie, all the best stuff was already in the trailer, I already saw it, saw the whole movie, saw the best parts of the movie.
I promise you, we did not do that with this.
In fact, if anything, I think we may have erred in the opposite direction a bit too much, because we were maybe a little too cautious about making sure we don't spoil any of the best moments.
But there's just a lot in there.
I don't want to spoil it because we didn't put it in the trailer for a moment.
We want you to be surprised when you see it.
But this journey goes places that you're not going to expect.
For example, at the end there, that was, as many of you probably know, that was none other than Robin DiAngelo, anti-racist expert extraordinaire, author of White Fragility.
We know going into this project that that was someone we really wanted to talk to, and we were able to.
And all I can say is you're going to want to see where that conversation goes.
And it goes somewhere that you won't expect.
I think I can... I'm not overhyping it to say that you just are not going to expect where that conversation goes.
That's all I'll say about that.
And the whole movie goes somewhere that you won't expect, in fact.
And, you know, this is...
This is the follow-up to What Is A Woman because it's our next film.
We got the whole band back together, the whole team from What Is A Woman got together to make this film.
But this movie is also not What Is A Woman.
This is not What Is A Woman Part 2.
We took a different approach with this one.
And we did that both because we wanted to challenge ourselves to do something different rather than finding a formula and sticking to it.
We didn't want to do that.
And also because this topic, and we discovered this more and more as we were making the film, but this topic and what we wanted to explore with it, It just demanded a different strategy, and so that's what we did here.
And there will be plenty more to say about this film, and I'm sure we'll have more bits and pieces that you'll be able to see from it before it is finally in theaters on September 13th.
So that's the other, there's only two pieces of big news here.
One is the film, and the second is that we're going to be putting this in theaters.
And pre-sale tickets will go on sale in the next couple of weeks.
So stay tuned for a lot more information about all that.
Very excited to finally have this out in the world and to be able to talk about it, especially.
Because I can tell you one thing, working on this film behind the scenes over the last year, year and a half,
it's been the most ambitious thing I've ever done in my career.
I think I can say the most ambitious thing that anyone on the film has done in their careers.
Very difficult to pull off in a lot of ways that will become really obvious to you when you see the film.
But maybe the even bigger challenge for me was to be on air for the last year and not say anything about this.
There's so many times I've wanted to say something or we go out and we shoot a scene for this film and something completely wild happens and then I got to turn around and do the show and I can't tell you about it.
That's been tough.
And I still can't tell you so much about it.
We can really have the full conversation once the movie's out and you guys have had a chance to see it.
All right, speaking of racism, Kamala has been the presumptive nominee after stealing the nomination from Joe Biden for only three days now.
We already have our first race hoax related to her campaign.
And this is one of many, folks, so get ready, because this is a preview of things to come.
So here's the first one.
A bunch of left-wing accounts spurred on initially by a supposed journalist who is also the head of the White House Correspondents Association, so not just some random guy, right?
They were all claiming online this morning that Brian Kilmeade on Fox News used the word colored when talking about a story related to Kamala Harris.
So here's the tweet from Eugene Daniels, who is just a soulless, rotten, evil liar, turns out.
But he starts by allegedly quoting Kilmeade.
So this is the quote that he puts on the caption.
She'd rather address in the summer a sorority, a colored sorority, like she can't get out of that.
And then Eugene comments, not this in the year of Beyonce, 2024.
So the claim is that Kilmeade slammed Kamala Harris for speaking to a colored sorority.
Now, I'm going to play the clip for you, but even before I do, you already know that it's a lie.
If you have at least three brain cells bouncing around in your skull, you know that a Fox News host did not go on television and say colored when referring to black people.
That's not how anyone talks.
I've never met anyone who says colored for black people.
The only exceptions have been people over the age of 80.
And the only 80 plus year olds that I've heard actually say that word were black.
Okay, so no one else says it except for the NAACP.
It's okay for them, but not for anybody else.
So there's just no chance that a Fox News host went on air and was like, yeah, Kamala Harris gonna talk to those colored folks.
It's just, you have to live in a fantasy world to think that such a thing is even possible.
So all the leftists promoting this lie are either knowingly lying, because they're disgraceful, deceitful pieces of garbage, or they are so incredibly delusional that they actually think that this is how white people speak in the year 2024.
And I say all of that because, you know, it's true.
I want to be careful that I don't concede the premise here, because the premise is that saying colored is racist.
The premise is that if he had said colored, he would automatically be racist and should probably be fired.
I don't concede that.
I mean, I wouldn't care if Kilmeade had said it.
I knew that he didn't before I even watched the clip, but I wouldn't care if he did.
If he did say it, I would say, well, okay.
That's an interesting choice of words, given the environment we live in.
But I wouldn't care.
Because there's no rational, coherent, explainable reason why people of color is okay but colored people isn't.
It's the same thing.
It's the same words, just in a different order.
They mean the same thing.
Like, in what other context could you have a term where if you put the words in a certain order, It's okay, but if you just flip the order slightly, and yet you're referring to the same thing, it's now horribly bigoted.
That doesn't apply to any other term that we can think of.
So I just want to be clear about that.
If any white person wants to go out and say, colored, go for it.
It isn't racist.
It just isn't.
So who cares?
But white people don't say that, and Kilmeade certainly didn't.
So here's what he did say.
Let's listen.
Obviously, you compare him to President Biden, who is muddling his way through speeches.
People know he couldn't go more than 15 minutes.
She's very good on the prompter.
No one even doubted that.
She had 3,000 people there.
Why are they there?
A lot of them have to do with, hey, I'm a Democrat.
I thought we were going to go down in flames.
Now we have a shot.
The problem with Kamala Harris, number one, she has not had her record exploited heavily because people thought and marginalized her.
Even in the Democratic Party, they said, wow, what a bad choice Joe Biden made.
Number two is she hasn't sat down for an interview.
When she sits down in an interview and says, do you want to defund ICE?
Where do you stand on Medicare for All?
Why didn't you show up?
The most recent decision, already you got a question.
She will not show up for the Prime Minister's joint session of Congress today.
She'd rather address, in the summer, a sorority, a college sorority.
Like, she can't get out of that.
So that's her decision.
And that's her decision to back up the protesters.
And how about the border?
When they ask her about the border.
I haven't been to Europe either.
Remember she said that?
She's the border czar.
She didn't go to the president.
She didn't go to the border.
And now we're learning that two of the border chiefs, the last two border chiefs, she hasn't talked to.
So, he said college sorority.
That, as you could tell there.
He said college sorority.
And I just, I don't even see any way that a person could honestly misinterpret that.
College, like the ka is very clear.
Maybe the end of it's a little garbled, but it's not ka.
He didn't say college.
He didn't say this is a college sorority.
He said, there's certainly a ka sound.
You can hear that clear as day.
So then if you are going to mishear it, then maybe you would hear ka collared.
Did he call it a, is it a collared?
Like they have collars.
Maybe he's talking to a sorority of furries and they have collars because they're dressed up as... I don't know.
It's pretty clear he said college.
A lot of people have corrected this Eugene Daniels guy.
And then you still have leftists that are defending it.
And one thing that I'm seeing is the leftists are saying, no, there's no way he said college.
Who says college sorority?
Well, I don't know.
Some people do.
I've heard that before.
I've certainly heard college sorority a lot more than I've heard colored sorority.
I've literally never heard anyone ever say that, ever, in my life.
Whereas college sorority, it's a bit redundant, but it doesn't... If you hear someone say that, it's not confusing.
Unless you're very, very, very stupid.
So...
This one, you know, this isn't going to do any damage to kill me because it's so obviously a lie, but this, as I said, is a preview of things to come.
And this is the, uh, they can't help themselves.
This, this is how they're, this is what they're going to do.
This is how they're going to play it.
And, um, and they're going to, you know, we know one thing for sure.
They're going to go looking for, uh, they're going to be race hoaxes related to people that Are in Trump's orbit or are perceived as Trump supporters or perceived as conservative.
There's gonna be a lot of that.
And there's also gonna be plenty of race hoaxes targeted at Trump himself.
So we're going to start seeing all kinds of unsourced stories, citing anonymous people who don't want to be identified, telling us all kinds of racist things that Trump has said and done.
We're going to start getting all those kinds of stories.
All that's going to come out because that's how they're going to play this, and they don't know any other way to play it.
Whether that can still work, whether that kind of intense emotional blackmail and playing on white guilt and playing on, you know, this claims of sexism and all that sort of stuff, Playing especially on white male guilt, most of all.
Whether that can work enough to propel her all the way to the White House remains to be seen.
And I guess I'm not, I don't feel comfortable predicting one.
I'd like to say that I don't think it will work.
But we'll see.
Post Millennial has this.
In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris has been lying to the American public about President Joe Biden's mental decline.
Added that she needs to answer if Biden is still fit to serve as the president.
Quote, does lying Kamala Harris think Joe Biden is fit to run for the USA for the next six months?
Fit to run the USA, not for the USA.
She's not going into the Olympics.
This is a very good question.
This is a question that Republicans should be hammering.
And it's not even like some kind of cheap gotcha.
Of course it's not.
He doesn't even trust his vice president who is running the country. It's a very good question. This is a question that
That Republicans should be hammering And it's not even like some kind of cheap gotcha. Of course.
It's not it's a very important question Dude
This man has stepped down from running Apparently conceding that he is mentally deficient
[BLANK_AUDIO]
So how is he qualified to still run the country?
Here's a question I'd like someone to ask Kamala Harris.
Do you think that Joe Biden should still be running for president?
Do you think that it should be Joe Biden in this position and not you?
Because up until the moment that he dropped out, you were saying that he's fine, he's doing great, and he'll make a great president, and he should have another four years.
That's what you said a day before he dropped out.
Do you still think that?
And if you don't, then what changed your mind in those 24 hours?
What did you witness that made you suddenly realize that this man is not mentally fit to run for president, though he is still mentally fit to run the country?
That's a very good question that I'd like to see someone ask.
Let's see, here's something I want to mention from page six.
This is a lot of Kamala Harris stuff, but yeah, this is just, we're in a political cycle right now and there's nothing we could do to avoid it.
So, and I did, there's a point here I wanted to make in this page six story.
A story that will seem rather inconsequential, but I don't think it is.
Kamala Harris has Hollywood's backing in the 2024 presidential election.
Charlie XCX.
I don't know who that is.
And more celebrities have endorsed the Vice President as the Democratic Party's nominee since Joe Biden dropped out of the race.
Let's see, there's a big list of all the celebrities who have endorsed her.
Beyonce has not made a statement regarding the possible candidacy, but her team granted permission for Harris to use her song, Freedom.
Harris walked out to the hit while making her first official visit to campaign headquarters on July 22nd.
Beyonce's response to Harris' request was prompt as they contacted her representative earlier in the day.
One week after George Clooney called for Biden to step down from the race in the New York Times op-ed, he endorsed Harris.
Said we're all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris and her historic quest.
I also saw that I think Olivia Rodriguez, is it Rodrigo?
Yeah.
You can tell I'm really plugged in.
Anyway, she endorsed her also.
So a bunch of other celebrities did as well.
Many more will.
I mean, all the celebrities will, obviously.
And I bring this up just to make one point.
And this is just me, again, trying to caution Republicans away from strategies that I've seen them use in the past.
Have never been effective, and I think will be even less effective now.
So here it's important to note that the Democrats have the celebrities, right?
They have the celebrity endorsements.
They have basically all of them.
All of the most powerful, most influential, most popular celebrities.
Nothing we can do about that right now.
It's the way it is.
Which is why I want Republicans to just accept that and move past it.
And that means not attempting to trot out your own celebrities.
You know, going and looking for random C-tier celebrities and washed up has-beens and people that have not been, you know, whether they're In whatever part of the entertainment industry they're in, they haven't been relevant in forever, and latching onto them because they like Trump.
I really want to caution Republicans against doing that, conservatives against doing that.
Don't do that.
It doesn't work.
It's not a good, it just, okay, Beyonce alone, in terms of cultural influence from celebrities, and I don't, I'm not, this is, I'm not a Beyonce fan, okay?
I don't like Beyonce.
Beyonce all by herself wipes out every single pro-Trump celebrity combined times a thousand, okay?
There's just not any pro-Trump celebrity that we've heard from who even, like, gets close to that.
I mean, the only one that you could make an argument for is Elon Musk, and the only reason I say you can only make an argument for Elon Musk is, I think it's, to call him merely a celebrity I think is a bit diminishing.
I don't think I would, he's more than, I'm talking about entertainment industry celebrity, he's quite a bit more than that.
And to the extent that he's, you know, I don't think he's issued an official endorsement of Trump, but I think it's pretty clear that he does like him.
So that is, that is someone.
But I'm talking about, and that's an obviously extremely powerful cultural figure, but in terms of entertainment industry celebrities, when it comes to that, you just, you just can't compete.
You cannot come close.
And again, the, The response from Republicans for so long has been to say, well, this is an untenable situation.
We can't allow this.
And, you know, they're getting all the famous people endorsements, they're getting all the entertainment industry endorsements, and we need to get a few, so let's go out and find some people who are, like, celebrities or celebrity-adjacent or used to be celebrities, and let's just cobble together our own team and put them up against Beyonce and Taylor Swift and, you know, George Clooney, right?
It just doesn't work.
And I think it makes you look even worse.
It makes you look even worse by comparison.
It's just a game you can't win.
And I'm not saying that, I certainly don't think that conservatives should give up on the entertainment industry entirely.
I mean, I got my second movie coming out, right?
We're going into theaters.
I understand that entertainment is important, right?
I am in that, trying to do that myself.
As it stands right now, the entertainment industry is still run by the left, and it takes quite an insurgent effort to, you know, break your way into it.
And certainly the big players in the entertainment industry are full-on leftists, and to change that is a process that's going to take many, many years.
We're not there yet.
And so the best thing we can do is like, well, no, we're not going to try to play that game.
Okay, you have that.
It's a tool.
It's not decisive.
You're not going to win because of it.
But yeah, that helps.
Right?
I mean, it helps to have Beyonce on your side.
And we don't.
You do.
Fine.
You got that one.
We're just not going to put that to the side.
And we're going to charge on straight ahead and have a different conversation.
That's what I'd like to see Republicans do.

So in the opening monologue, we talked about the media's predictable shift into
glorification mode for Kamala Harris.
They know that she's a thoroughly unimpressive, mediocre figure, so it will take a massive and relentless propaganda campaign to make her suddenly seem compelling to a large enough portion of the American electorate.
The media has its work cut out for it, which is why it has wasted no time rebranding Harris into something that bears no resemblance to who she actually is.
But on the left, we know that making someone into a hero Which is what they're in the process of trying to do.
Also means making them into a victim.
There could be no hero who isn't a victim on the left.
It is heroic to be a victim in the leftist view of things.
And the faux victimization process for Harris has also been in full swing.
We're told the people who don't think that she's a qualified candidate, especially those who point out rightly that she didn't make it to this point in her career through her merit, are all sexist and racist.
There's one criticism of Harris, though, that has drawn the special ire of the media.
Some people have pointed out that Kamala Harris doesn't have kids.
And according to these critics, who, of course, happen to be right, the fact that she has no children makes her even less qualified for the presidency.
So here's just one example of someone making this point.
Cassandra McDonald tweeted a couple of days ago, quote, It's so weird that Kamala has no children.
Too busy ladder climbing, I guess.
I don't believe people without kids should be running the country.
No skin in the game.
I will say that calling it a ladder is very generous to Willie Brown.
But her overall point is perfectly valid, though.
And as I said, plenty of people have echoed similar sentiments.
The media, however, isn't having it.
Articles in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vogue, even something called the Hindustan Times have lashed out at these critics.
Reading now from the Rolling Stone, Kamala Harris has not given birth to children and is therefore unfit to be President of the United States.
It appears to be the first line of attack the GOP has come up with since the presidential race was upended this weekend when President Joe Biden dropped out, which is so predictable that it borders on laughable.
Except if the last decade has taught us anything, it's that the GOP is deadly serious in its endeavor to turn onion headlines into political platforms and subsequently laws.
First of all, Kamala is not childless, nor does she appear to be miserable.
Whether she owns a cat is unclear.
And even if she were, this would not make her less than.
Less than human, less than woman, less than capable.
Less able to successfully run the country.
Unquote.
Vogue agrees, adding, quote, It should go without saying that how a person creates or finds family has nothing to do with their value as a person, nor their fitness as a public servant.
But more to the point, would a male presidential candidate ever be raked over the conservative coals for failing to reflect the one man, one woman, 2.5 children family structure that American culture has idealized since the Cold War?
James Buchanan was famously a bachelor, after all.
Meanwhile, the New York Times responds with a historical rebuttal.
If elected, Harris wouldn't be the first American president with no biological children.
There were five others, George Washington, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, James Polk,
and James Buchanan.
Warren Harding had a child out of wedlock and publicly denied paternity.
That he was the father was confirmed by DNA testing almost a century later.
But more to the point, if you think that the concerns of parents and families will always
be abstract to someone who doesn't have children, you're telling on yourself.
It's not simply that, by all accounts, Harris has a close, loving relationship with her stepkids.
It's that it's possible for people who have basic empathy to understand the needs, aspirations, and concerns of fellow citizens who aren't exactly like them, and to commit to their well-being.
It should go without saying, having children doesn't necessarily make you a better person.
That did go without saying, which is why you didn't need to say it, and no one is claiming otherwise.
I've never heard anyone claim that people with kids are necessarily better people than those without them.
That is not the argument.
So let's go through this point by point.
First of all, yes, there have been other childless presidents before, but if you count Warren Harding, it's been 100 years since the last one.
If you don't count him, it's been 150 years.
So the history cuts against you here.
I mean, it's accurate to say, then, that nearly every U.S.
president, nearly everyone, has had children.
And over the past century, every U.S.
president has had children.
Now, sure, George Washington is one of the greatest figures in American history, president or otherwise, and he didn't have children.
But there are exceptions to every rule, and I have no problem accepting him as one of them.
I'll put it this way.
If Kamala Harris was the second coming of George Washington, I would not be at all concerned about her lack of children.
But she isn't.
Okay?
Not even close.
So anytime someone says, well, but George Washington didn't have kids.
Yeah, that's George Washington.
Okay?
Kamala Harris is not George Washington.
Also, all of these childless men were not childless by choice.
Choice.
They were unable to have kids.
For George Washington in particular, the fact that he could have no children of his own was a source of great pain in his life.
That's a very different thing from someone who chooses to forego children in order to pursue their career.
George Washington was not what we would now call child-free by choice.
In fact, he would have been fairly horrified by such a mentality if anyone in his time had had that mentality, which nobody did.
You cannot credibly claim that this line of criticism against Harris is sexist and that a male candidate wouldn't experience the same scrutiny.
You don't know that.
Again, we have not had a childless president in a very long time.
Does whoever wrote that Vogue article know that our last truly childless president in the mid-19th century wasn't scrutinized for that fact?
Now, I couldn't tell you one way or another, but I haven't gone and looked it up, but I'm not the one making the claim.
And I can be pretty sure the person who wrote that article didn't go back and look to see if that criticism was ever made of those other men.
And if I had to guess, I would say it probably was.
But here's the thing, we don't need to go back that far.
In fact, conservatives have made this point about male politicians who aren't even president and are on our side of the aisle.
And we have made that in this election cycle.
I myself argued just a few months ago, and I was not the only conservative saying this, that one of the many reasons I didn't want Tim Scott as the nominee, not that he ever had a chance, is that he's unmarried and childless.
We had this exact conversation about having childless people running the country, we had this a few months ago, about a man who's a Republican.
So this is a point that we do apply to men.
And it's a valid point.
Okay, nobody is saying that Harris being childless is the main reason, much less the only reason, to oppose her candidacy.
If everything else about her was great, I think most of us bringing up this weakness would be willing to overlook it.
But it would still be a weakness.
That's because having children gives you a stake in the future of the country that those without children simply don't have.
Okay, that's not a moral judgment, it's just a fact.
You have more invested in the future of the country when you have children who will be living in it.
Those without children can, and hopefully do, still care about the future.
But for them, the future, especially the future beyond their own death, is a much more abstract concern.
Now, it's possible to care about a place where you don't live and have never been, yet your concern for that place is going to be more abstract than the concern of someone who actually lives there and calls it home.
So when you have kids, your bloodline, a piece of you, the children that you love and would die to protect, are going to live in the future.
The country you're creating is the one that your children and grandchildren will call home.
This fact won't necessarily give you a seriousness of purpose and a feeling of skin in the game.
There are plenty of politicians who are parents and yet still pretty awful.
But it can give you that, and it should.
But this is not really the point, or at least it's only part of the point.
The larger point, as I alluded to earlier, is not that Harris has no children of her own.
It's why she has no children of her own.
She's a woman who has chosen to dedicate her life to her own personal ambition and career advancement.
She has lived a very self-serving life.
The lack of children is a symptom of that.
Certainly not the only symptom.
It's all part of a picture.
And that picture is of a woman who cares for nothing but her own ambition.
That's the real reason why this matters and why she shouldn't be president.
