You guys go through all the products you have to use and stuff.

You know, I mean, I got, you know, right here, but I went, you know, and here, there would be, like, how easy it's at, or, or um, and uh, This is great.
But what I'm saying is that the people that are in bed, everyone of these will have a story behind it.
And on the show, we will be telling some, you know, telling some of those stories.
We'll hopefully get the actual entrepreneur on here.
And we can really expand this and make You know, people are saying, well, we need a USA Amazon.
Well, and they'll say, well, that'd be just Amazon.
You'll figure that.
You know what Amazon started off with?
It was books.
It was books back in 2000.
Paul Chip and Zoella Ripken and I. That's another story.
Okay.
But anyway, so you have these, you know, I always think big, and I, you know, for me, I know what I went through with Sinatra and vending my pillow, and then there's so much that comes after you have it there.
I just thought it was easy.
Once I had my pillow vended, I went, wow, I got it!
Finally!
How many do you want?
And they're going, eh, eh, eh.
And I'm going, where do I sell these?
And I actually did a kiosk, a kiosk first, and I said, how do you spell that?
And I did the kiosk, and I couldn't talk to people then.
It was another story.
You'd have to read my book.
But my wife, in fact, she did that kiosk morning till night.
And we still didn't have a marketing right.
We lost a lot of money on that.
And I ended up doing home shows and fairs.
A lot of these entrepreneurs, I guarantee you, started out in the home shows and fairs.
Because there you're getting feedback right from your customer.
So you can tweak your product.
What's good or bad or whatever.
That's what I did.
For years, did home shows and fairs.
So many of them, I would bet if we asked them their story, that's where they'd probably start.
But there's a big problem, everybody.
When you get there, And especially now you see these online things where, you know, you might have your fund me sites or whatever for the product.
But you know what?
The people that are out there that want to copy them, that's where they're looking.
They're looking for innovative products and they're looking for, they look for the masses.
Like this, this Colmere, I would almost bet that they got copied, you know, that they copied over in China or whatever.
Then they bring them into our country.
And, uh, and then the entrepreneur goes, wait a minute, I invented that, or I invented that, or I'm producing that.
And it's sad.
Right now, our patents in the United States, I don't know how bad it is now, but when Donald Trump was in, our great real president, at that time we found out, I know I got to work to the administration, that these people now were coming to these big companies and going to the patent office, okay?
And people that even had patents, they're overturning their patents.
So you're going, you've been granted a patent, and they're going there, it's all corruption, going there and overturning these patents, so that, you know, when I got my patent on my pillow, I was told, this is important for everybody watching, it's a little human interest story, I was told in 2005, the guy came up to me, I was at the Minnesota State Fair, and he said, Mike, or he says, you're the guy that invented this pillow.
I remember when I kind of walked away, and I had three jars of cotton, or I mean, of the foam, and he said, you're the guy that invented this pillow.
He was from a vending store.
Actually, I knew it was a vending store, and they all start with S, you know, and this one happened to be Sloveland, actually.
And he says, from the executive from Slumberland, he says, he said, are you the guy with this pill?
I said, yes.
He goes, well, we tested this stuff and it lasts 10 years.
Cause I, I didn't have the stuff.
I put a 10 year warranty on it, but I hadn't tested anything.
I'm just, I was told by the, by the phone when I was buying this phone, this patent or not, this phone wasn't patented, that it would last 10 years.
So, but it was still theory cause there ain't nothing out there like it.
And so he said this and he goes, they started asking, he goes, I told him some of the things that my pillow did.
You could wash it, dry it, and all this other stuff.
And he goes, well, you know, he says, do you have a patent on that?
And I said, no.
And he says, well, I'll tell you what, this pillow will never see big retail.
It'll never see the public.
He said, you'll be stuck.
And I go, what do you mean?
He goes, well, he said, you ever hear of the cars that got 200 miles a gallon?
And I said, yeah.
And he goes, you don't hear about that guy anymore, though, do you?
And I go, no.
And he goes, if you don't get a patent, he said, they're going to go around you.
And get a patent and then just never make the product.
So that struck in my head going, and he goes, he goes, pillows were the number one non-disposable product in the world that didn't work.
So people were buying, the average person, he told me, was like six pillows per household in the United States and Canada at that time.
And the average person bought 40 pillows in a 10-year period.
So I'm getting all these tests.
I'm going, so yeah, I guess the industry would not want me coming out with a pillow that lasted 10 years.
Yeah.
So I went and got that patent.
And now, you know, At least they can't stop me from making my own product, right?
So, you know, a lot of, but there's a process, so all these entrepreneurs, they've been out there, probably a lot of them have been copied and everything else, but they, and that's why it's so important to support these, this platform and these USA entrepreneurs and this USA product, because we're going to bring this back to our country.
We're going to bring back and save Our country and another platform over here with the Election Lab, but also we need to save these industries and these small businesses.
Some are big, some have gotten big, but they're getting destroyed right now with the economy.
So everybody's supportive.
I kind of went out of chance there, but that's okay.

We don't know.

We always salt our sidewalks when the cold weather hits, too, and that salt can be really abrasive to a dog's paws.

One of the first things people want, my dog or my cat keeps taking my pillow.

Yep, yep, exactly.
And that we, and it's funny because so many nowadays, when I look back at my pillow, you know, we have over 200 some products there and over at my pillow, People go, they go, you have over 200 products.
Well, if people come up to you, they still come up to me all the time and they'll say, you know what, you should do a neck pillow or a smaller pillow.
We have that.
You should do a body pillow.
You should do a bath pillow, dog pillow.
And I don't know, it's been a long time since someone came up to me and said, well, we didn't already carry that product.
But back in the day, like I was doing those home shows at fairs, they would all come, and people would have them, and I'd tell them, when you come up with this, when you come up with this, you should make sheets.
That was one of my first ones when I went out and designed sheets.
I mean, I had to find out what makes a sheet good or bad.
What would I want in a sheet?
So this one that came out now for pets, they've already proven it for the people, and what a great thing.

He was filling them all by hand, doing them all by hand, and he went and got a machine to help him stuff them, right?

As he got bigger, he had to do some, because he's so passionate about his product, but yet it would take him.
It'd be like me with my pillows.
Eventually, I had to get a machine to fill them.
We used to fill them by hand, And then we have now one that blows the stuff in, because it would take, you know, me 20 hours to fill whatever, how many pillows by hand.
I used to do it, sit in the thing and have the foam all over, but great product.
