After allowing an average of 2 million illegal border crossings per year since he's been president, Joe Biden has finally caved to political pressure and agreed to restrict the invasion across our southern border.
As NBC News is now reporting, quote, Joe Biden, on Tuesday, signed an executive order that will temporarily shut down asylum requests once the average number of daily encounters tops 2,500 between official ports of entry, according to a senior administration official.
So, still, not ideal.
2,500?
I guess 2,500 is better than the 5,000 or 6,000 illegal crossings that we're seeing every day now.
So, I guess that's a win?
Sort of?
Really though, the big win here for conservatives is not the slightly diminished yet still historic invasion of our country.
The win here is Biden's implicit admission that President Trump was right to urge Republicans to reject his stupid immigration bill back in February.
Do you remember this?
Politics moves so fast, things get memory holds so quickly.
Do you remember back in February when the Uniparty establishment tried to con conservatives into thinking that we needed a new, sweeping immigration reform bill to shut down the invasion?
That's what Biden told us, that's what the Democrats told us, that's what the squishes in the GOP told us.
And some of us, I hate to say I told you so, pointed out that their argument didn't make sense.
It was incoherent because the only reason we had the invasion in the first place is that Biden refused to enforce the laws that were already on the books.
So if he wasn't enforcing those laws, which already existed, there was no reason to believe that a new law would suddenly get him to turn away the migrants.
The whole thing was a scam, which is why President Trump lobbied Congress to kill that bill.
Well, it's hard to believe because I think it probably would mean the end of their career.
This is a Democrat trap.
It's a trap for Republicans that would be so stupid, so foolish to sign a bill like this.
This bill can't be signed.
And it's not only that, it's massive amounts of money going out of town, as we say, going out of town.
Billions and billions and billions of dollars.
And it's so bad on the border.
I've never seen anything like it.
Actually, it's one of the worst, one of the dumbest bills I've ever seen.
It was a trap.
It was a trap, as Biden himself just admitted.
Biden back then said, we need this bill to shut down the border.
I can't shut down the border without this bill.
Then Trump said, that's BS.
And then Biden admitted, okay, yeah, you're right, it was BS.
I can shut it down now.
I'm not going to totally shut it down, but I'm gonna curtail it by, say, 50%.
So for those keeping score at home, President Trump once again vindicated the conservatives Some of us in this studio and audience right now, once again vindicated.
The libs and the squishes once again shown to be naive at best, more likely just dishonest.
I'm Michael Knowles.
This is The Michael Knowles Show.
Welcome back to the show.
Coming up in just a moment, we have an interview with a pro-life advocate who is being sent to prison for a very long time for peacefully advocating the end of infanticide.
Meanwhile, the rapists and the marauders and the murderers go free, but if you're a peaceful pro-lifer, you're going to get the book thrown at you.
We will get into more of our corruption that we're seeing in the justice system.
There's so much more to say.
First, though, go to expressvpn.com slash Knowles.
Do you know what big tech and big government have in common?
They're both big!
Well, they have other things in common, too, like how they want to silence any dissenting voices into submission.
Let's say that you are a gun owner.
You like to exercise your constitutional rights.
You want to talk on social media about the right to bear arms.
Well, chances are your post will be flagged by a content moderator, and you might end up on some kind of government watch list.
To fight back against having your voice censored, you gotta check out ExpressVPN.
I love ExpressVPN, I'm a total Luddite, I'm not great with technology, and yet even I can use it, and I trust them to keep my internet activity safe and private.
The problem with these tech companies is not only do they want to censor you, they also want to track what you do online, and then they can match your activity to your true identity using your device's unique IP address.
When you use ExpressVPN, that does not happen at all.
Stop letting big tech censor and track you.
Defend your rights and protect yourself at expressvpn.com slash knolls, K-N-N-W-L-E-S, E-X-P-R-E-S-S vpn.com slash knolls, K-N-N-W-L-E-S.

I'm glad that the conservatives held the line on that bill.
The squishes were pushing it so hard they were falling for the Biden-Democrat line, hook, line, and sinker, even though it made no sense whatsoever.
As though we didn't have laws against illegal immigration already.
Biden's like, oh no, one more law that I can ignore, then we can shut it down.
Senator John Kennedy, Senator Foghorn Leghorn himself, one of the most delightful figures in Washington, setting the record straight.
It then said, well, we know there's a crisis at the border, but we don't have any authority to fix it.
That didn't work either.
Because the American people aren't so deep stupid.
So now he has decided to tell you that he has been born again.
He has had an epiphany.
He is now a border hawk.
And that's what he wants you to report.
Look, you can cut the hypocrisy with a knife.
This is one of the most cynical things that I have ever seen a politician attempt to do five months before an election.
It's so obviously cynical.
Cynical meaning without any regard for the truth.
Biden was just arguing vociferously that they needed this legislation passed in order to do what he's now admitting he can do with the stroke of a pen.
Furthermore, he was arguing that we need these poor unwashed masses, these oppressed people, to come pour into our country.
It makes our country so much better when we have virtually unlimited immigration.
Not so long ago.
Now we're being told, no, actually, we need to cut the immigration dramatically.
They're still not going to cut it all that much.
2,500 a day.
That's an insane number of people.
But the argument and the supposed principle changes every single day.
Why?
Because we're five months out from an election, as Senator Kennedy points out.
And Biden knows that the migration issue is killing him.
Because the vast majority of Americans want to drastically reduce the number of migrants who come into our country.
Because over the last 60, 70 years, the movement of people into the United States has been the largest movement of people ever in recorded history.
So he's going to change his argument today, he's going to change his argument tomorrow, and he's going to change his argument the next day without any regard for the truth about how our government works, about what migration does for America, and about what the American people want.
We are getting lots of moral victories.
This is a moral victory.
Yeah, we were right.
I mean, we still have just a huge number of migrants pouring across our border even with the supposed restrictions, but we were proven right.
This is a moral victory.
That's great.
I like a good moral victory.
What we're not getting is lots of political victories.
They are Prosecuting, convicting, and probably imprisoning our political leaders.
They're certainly imprisoning people around our political leader, and they seem poised to do it to the former president and current Republican Party nominee, which is Trump's latest pithy, blunt fundraising and campaign appeal.
The man is a political prisoner.
I am the political prisoner of a failing nation.
But I will soon be free on November 5th, the most important day in the history of our country, and we will together make America great again.
Thank you.
Simple.
What was that?
10 seconds?
That could be the entire campaign.
He claims that he's a political prisoner.
So I'm going to say, well, Mr. Trump, you're not in an orange jumpsuit yet.
Yeah, sure.
Even the fact that the liberal justice system was able to keep Donald Trump off the campaign trail and in a New York courtroom for weeks, the fact that they can keep him focused on this, the fact that they can, it's backfiring in the sense that he's raising tens and tens of millions of dollars.
On this injustice and public opinion is swaying decisively in his direction.
But the fact that they can keep him occupied with this nonsense when he should be campaigning for president makes him a political prisoner already.
But that's not even the most provocative phrase he uses in that pitch.
The most provocative phrase is he says, I'm a political prisoner of a failing nation.
Failing nation.
And we all feel that our nation is failing.
And it's not just failing because we have a crummy president right now or a feckless Congress or corrupt bureaucrats.
That's part of it.
But I think we feel that America is failing on a deeper level.
Yeah, we have bad economic policies.
Yeah, the president's fumbling foreign policy.
At a deeper level, okay, yeah, the border isn't secure.
A nation doesn't have a border.
A nation isn't a nation.
We've got this invasion.
But then at a deeper level still, the fact that our nation, for the first time ever in 234 years, is prosecuting a former president, a current major party nominee, Is the symptom that we are failing at a central, in an essential level.
So what do we do about that?
That is not going to be fixed simply by replacing the president, or replacing some senator, or replacing some member of Congress.
The institutions of the government are failing.
Don't shoot the messenger here.
I'm sure the libs are going to say, Michael Knowles and the conservatives stoking more fears about the fragility of our institutions.
Well, they probably don't know words that are that big, but they'll say like, Michael Knowles say dumb bad thing or whatever.
But it's not just the conservatives who are doing this.
The liberals have expressed their disillusionment with and distrust in our institutions for decades at this point.
The 2000 election, Bush v. Gore.
The liberals, many, many liberals, refused to accept the results of that election.
Stacey Abrams, they pretend that she's still the governor of Georgia, even though she lost that race.
Hillary Clinton, they pretend that she really secretly won the 2016 election.
They've been doing this for years, to a far greater extent, and for much longer than the Republicans have.
And the Republicans now don't really have faith in our institutions because all the election rules, not all of them, but many of them were changed in the lead up to 2020 to advantage Democrats in contravention not only of laws, but of state constitutions even in the case of Pennsylvania.
And because our justice system now has been proven to have illegally spied on President Trump's campaign, and then to have illegally undermined his administration, and now to be prosecuting him in a total break with American political tradition, and without any real crime having been committed.
The other day, I was asked to go on the Piers Morgan Show.
Great, very fun clip.
You can catch it over at Piers' YouTube channel.
And I went on, and it was a panel to debate The Trump prosecution and the conviction.
And I asked a simple question to the liberal who was brought on television to defend this supposedly totally above board verdict.
And I said, hey, simple question, what crime did Trump commit?
And she couldn't say.
And then actually a Democrat lawyer who is a Democrat, hates Trump, but he's honest and he's a lawyer.
He said, yeah.
Yeah, the prosecution doesn't really have much here.
You know, so we all know it, okay?
Anyone with, you know, even a modicum of common sense and familiarity with the law and our political tradition, they know that this is failing.
This is banana republic stuff.
And if the Democrats agree on that, and the Republicans agree on that, and the corrosion and corruption continues apace, at a certain point, your country's failed.
It's not just failing anymore, it's failed.
There's so much more to say.

You want to see one of the clearest signs of America failing?
You want to see one of the clearest signs of how corrupt our system has gotten?
There's a woman, Paulette Harlow.
She is a 75-year-old woman.
She is in relatively poor health.
She prayed at an abortion clinic and an abortion mill, a place where very evil people murder babies and get paid to do so.
She went there and she prayed and she peacefully demonstrated at the infanticide factory.
And for that, a judge, Colleen Kolar Koteli, has sentenced this woman to two years in prison.
Now bad enough, 75-year-old woman in poor health, two years in prison could well be a life sentence.
Then, Kolar Koteli When this poor victim's husband begged for mercy and said, hey, my wife might die in prison here, die alone in prison for the horrific crime of defending unborn babies, the judge decided to taunt the woman and her husband.
The judge said that she hoped that Harlow would, quote, make an effort to remain alive.
Then the cherry on top, the judge said she hoped that Harlow would make an effort to remain alive because trying to remain alive is, quote, a tenet of her religion.
So this woman, I assume is Catholic.
I could be some kind of broader type of Christian, but I assume Catholic.
And it's true, you know, despair is a sin, suicide is a sin, giving up is a sin, sure.
So this judge, this very, very evil judge, says, hey, you woman who prayed at an abortion mill while people were murdering babies, I'm going to sentence you to die in prison.
And that'll be fine though, won't it?
Because, you know, you can just pray about it.
You're a Catholic.
It's okay.
Kiss it up.
It'll be sanctifying.
That's what you get, Catholics.
That's what you get, Christians.
That's what you get.
for praying to stop the murder of a million babies a year.
You're gonna die in prison.
If you murder babies in America, you will get a parade.
You get a big march, a woman's march, and you'll be called brave, and you'll be lauded, and you will be celebrated.
If you object to murdering babies, you will die in prison.
And, if you object to murdering babies on religious grounds, Because God doesn't look favorably upon infanticide?
Then you'll be mocked and taunted while you're sent to die in prison.
This is real dark stuff.
It's like that classic comedic scene, you know, the two Nazis, you know, kind of Mitchell and Webb, right?
The two Nazis talking to each other and one of them says, excuse me, mate, are we the baddies?
Are we the baddies?
This is real bad stuff.
This woman, Judge Colleen Kolar-Cotelli, is enthralled to real spiritual darkness.
It probably would never occur to most people.
One, to send a woman to die in prison for praying to stop infanticide, but then to taunt that woman and say, yeah, I hope you stay alive.
Yeah, because that's what you Christians are supposed to do, aren't you?
Good luck, Christians.
Yeah, yeah, uh-huh.
Get your orange jumpsuit on.
That is really demonic stuff.
So one should pray, obviously, for the conversion of Judge Kolar Koteli, but also one needs to take very seriously.
Trump's declaration that he's a political prisoner in a failing nation.
People sometimes say that Trump is hyperbolic, he's provocative.
I don't think he exaggerated one little bit.
I don't know how anyone could.
We have an intentional invasion across our borders.
That the president lies and says he can't do anything to control and then he pretends that he'll do something about it and admits that he can do something about it if he wanted to.
Meanwhile, he and his party are prosecuting his chief rival, trying to throw him in prison before the election.
Meanwhile, anyone who objects even to the most heinous acts of this corrupt regime, the wholesale slaughter of innocent little babies, gets thrown in prison and mocked specifically for being Christian.
That's real bad, guys.
And I don't want to sound like I'm a tankie here or something.
I don't want to sound like I'm just, you know...
Throwing stones at my own country.
I love my country.
I'm a patriot.
I suspect you all are too.
But you're not going to fix a problem if you don't acknowledge that the problem exists.
The state of America is as bad as I have ever seen it.
And I was not alive in the late 1960s when we were assassinating presidential candidates.
We seem to be approaching levels of civil unrest and perfidy and just ugliness that are rare in history.
That means that this election is going to be consequential.
Whatever happens, the election is going to be consequential.
We are in uncharted territory.
When Trump sends out a fundraiser email saying that his conviction is crossing the Rubicon, yeah, sometimes comparisons to ancient Rome are overused, but How do you go back?
How do you go back?
What's the path back?
It's not just going to be even electing one guy.
That is the beginning of the beginning of the beginning.
The rod runs so deep.

Speaking of alternative forms of government, this is An unfortunate story.
It's kind of funny, though it's also kind of sad.
There's a remote tribe in the Amazon jungle.
They have been connected to the internet now.
This is thanks to Elon Musk's Starlink.
And it's thanks directly to an activist who hooked up this tribe with Starlink.
And immediately the tribe got hooked on social media and porn.
And everything in their tribe fell apart.
According to the Post, This 2,000 member tribe, the Marubo tribe, lives along the Itui River, deep in the Amazon jungle.
They were connected to the web last September when 20 antennas were donated to them by an American entrepreneur, and now the elders are alarmed because the youths, and just the people broadly, are hooked on social media platforms and pornography.
When it arrived, according to Tsainamama, Sayinama Marubo, an elder there, when it arrived everyone was happy.
Now things have gotten worse.
Young people have gotten lazy because of the internet.
They're learning the ways of white people.
I want to put a pause here.
This tribe elder is right, but this tribe elder is not telling the whole story.
This is a problem.
The tribe is learning the ways of white people and now they're all hooked on porn and they're lazy and they're decadent.
The tribe is learning the worst ways of white people.
White people have a lot to offer.
White people have done a lot of great stuff throughout history.
White people have discovered all the stuff in the modern world.
White people have given us great music, great art, great culture.
White people have largely spread the religion, the true religion, the religion that animated our civilization.
Not just white people that spread it, of course, but white people have done a great job as missionaries around the world, you know, bringing spiritual light to all the corners of the world.
White people have done a lot of great stuff.
White people have also done some bad stuff, okay?
It's a fallen world, everyone has virtues and vices, and unfortunately here, what we're seeing at this tribe in the Amazon, Is that the white people are not bringing all the good stuff, all the really great music and the great art and the religion.
We're the missionaries.
No, no, no.
White people are bringing the absolute worst stuff about white culture, which is liberalism, modern individualism, the internet for the purpose of what?
Of porn and self-adulation through social media.
That's the problem.
The problem is not the white people.
The problem is not even cultural dialogue and going out and reaching.
It's that we used to bring people Christianity, now we bring them pornography.
That's bad.
Yeah, no wonder white people are getting a bad rap.
We used to evangelize, now we proselytize progressivism.
That's it.
That's the bad version of white people.
But, goes on.
Here's the key, I think, to this story.
The Marubo, unlike other pagan tribes, the Marubo are a chaste tribe.
They frown upon kissing in public, even.
Now, all these standards of decorum have been upended.
The young Marubo men have been sharing the porn videos to each other.
They have demonstrated already more aggressive sexual behavior than the Marubo had seen before.
We're worried, says one tribal leader.
We're worried young people are going to want to try it.
All of these decadent, disgusting things that they've been seeing on screen.
Another father, Kaipa Marubo, is worried about his kids playing first-person shooter video games, saying, I'm worried that they're suddenly going to want to mimic them.
And so this is a vindication of all the scolds in the 90s.
You know, all the scolds that got made fun of and were called hysterical in the 90s for warning that violent video games weren't going to encourage acts of violence.
And all the libertines said, no, that never happens, man.
Come on, quit blaming violent video games for increasingly violent behavior.
Stop blaming all the porn for all of the increasingly weird sex stuff that people are engaging in in the real physical world.
The Marubo understand human nature a lot better than those white liberals.
Because what the Marubo recognize is that human beings are mimetic.
We imitate each other.
That's how we cultivate our personalities.
That's how we learn how to be human.
You imitate your mommy and daddy, and then you imitate your extended family, your older brothers, then you imitate your friends and family in your community.
This is why there's a common expression that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.
Because we're memetic.
This is the theory advanced by Rene Girard, who I've mentioned on this show before, the French sociologist who has this thesis, an obviously true thesis as far as I'm concerned, that so much of our character, not only what we do and how we talk, but even our desires are products of imitating the desires of others.
You want the Rolex watch, not because you know anything about watchmaking, but because people who you admire and respect and want to be like, like the Rolex watch.
And so you mimic even their desires.
That's true.
The Marubo recognize this.
So if you have a culture, not to sound like a 90s church lady, but if you want a culture that's not violent and crazed and full of lust and, you know, decadent sex stuff, then you gotta tamp down the porn and the violent video games.
That's just a fact.
It shouldn't even be that controversial.
If the Marubo can get it, the white libs in America should get it too.
Speaking of natural reactions, and violence and sex stuff actually, There's a Spanish father who has gone viral.
This guy's name is Alberto Pujilato.
Alberto showed up to a comedy show and started beating the daylights out of a comedian named Jaime Caravaca.
Here's the video.
No, get over it.
Get over it, says the comedian.
Hey, there's no need.
Hey, hey, hey, you gotta go back.
Then the dad turns to the man who looks like security guards who are walking up to him.
He says, hold on.
He's talking to the comedian.
He says, what were you saying?
You said my son was gonna do a disgusting sex act when he's three months old.
Garbage.
Now what?
Tell me.
The comedian cowering in the back.
Tell that to my face right now.
Tell me right now.
Then he says to the guy who looks like a bodyguard.
He says, hey, excuse me.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry and I beg your pardon.
I beg your pardon, but I'm a father defending his children.
I love the guys in the audience, and it looks like the bodyguard.
He says, okay, yeah, all right, you're cooking, you can cook.
Says, this man made sexualizing comments about my three-month-old son.
That has consequences, doesn't it?
Then he gets one last smack at him before he leaves. - Yeah.
What's the backstory here?
Backstory is, this father is a right-wing activist and commentator, and he posted a picture with his kid, three-month-old kid, and said, pride and joy.
And then this degenerate leftist comedian, quote-unquote, said, nothing and no one can prevent the possibility that he is gay, and when he grows up and he gets tired of, and then he starts describing particularly gross sex acts, that he will, you know, Go on and continue to live that lifestyle.
I'm cleaning up some of the language here.
And so this father, he says, you're gonna regret those comments.
And he shows up and he gives him a stern talking to and a couple smacks.
The free speech absolutists, which was the position that the conservatives quote-unquote had adopted, Five, six years ago.
They would say, well, no, you can never, ever get angry at anyone for anything they say.
And you can never, you should never try to shut down speech.
And that, what that comedian said is free speech.
And certainly shouldn't, a father shouldn't give a smack to a guy who says that about his three-month-old son.
My take on it, it's very good to control your emotions.
Vigilante justice is very bad.
We leave that to the, we leave justice to the justice system.
I don't think a reasonable jury, I don't think any member Of a reasonable jury.
If that Spanish father were brought up on charges, not one member would vote to convict, if they were reasonable.
I think society would be a little bit better if people were a little bit more polite.
If people recognized that there are standards and taboos, and you don't say certain things.
And if a so-called comedian made those kind of comments about my little kids, I'd probably be pretty inclined to have the same reaction.
And before the libs accuse me of defending violence here, I'm observing a fact of political society and a fact of speech.
Because this already exists.
If you in America today Go out and say, for instance, transgenderism is wrong, and it's wrong for everyone, and so for the good of society, especially for the good of the poor people who've fallen prey to this confusion, the ideology must be eradicated from public life entirely.
If you were just hypothetically to say something like that, people would try to kill you.
Leftists would actively, they would threaten to kill you, and they would try to kill you.
Okay?
Take my word for it, folks.
And that would happen If you're a public person, that would happen.
If you're a private person, that would happen.
If you said it at your office or your school or at a cafe in the middle of nowhere.
Because societies have standards and taboos and norms and they enforce those just naturally.
That always happens.
The problem with our society today is That this natural phenomenon still exists.
It's just that if you go out and you make disgusting, sick comments that probably merit a hard drive check for that so-called comedian about a three-month-old kid, well, you'll be protected.
The courts will be on your side.
But if you go out there and you say, hey, men and women are different, actually, the courts will be against you.
They'll try to prosecute you if they can, but even if we're not that far along in America yet, If libs harass you, they threaten you, they attack you, they will be let off the hook most of the time.
The problem isn't that we don't actually have taboos that we enforce here, it's that we protect all the most disgusting and depraved things, rather than what we used to do, which was protect good things.
And what we used to do, which was have a culture that exalted honor and virtue.
Now it's totally the opposite.
A lot of lessons to be taken out of Spain.
Speaking of weird sex stuff...
There's a guy named Scott Wiener.
Scott Wiener is a state senator in California.
Scott Wiener wants to replace Nancy Pelosi.
Nancy Pelosi has been in Congress since, I believe, the Articles of Confederation.
She has been the Democrat leader there since at least the time of President Cleveland, maybe further back to President Garfield.
And so Democrats Are recognizing, you know, old father time comes for us all, and at a certain point she's going to leave Congress.
So this guy, Scott Weiner, wants to replace her.
If you've heard that name, Scott Weiner, before, you might have heard it on this show.
It's because Scott Weiner is the state senator best known for vociferously advocating that there be a reduction in punishments for grown men who sexually abuse underage boys.
That was a big campaign for Scott Weiner, as he said, the law in California is too harsh on grown men who sexually abuse underage boys, and we need to make sure that those men receive lighter punishments.
I am not joking.
Look it up.
That guy wants to replace Nancy Pelosi, which is a reminder in politics.
I don't particularly care for Nancy Pelosi.
I think she's pretty terrible.
But things can always get worse.
And in a political order that is failing to the degree that ours is failing, you can bet on things getting worse.
You might think Biden is bad.
Just wait until you see the libs who follow Biden.
You think that Pelosi is bad.
Just wait until you see that.
Well, you just saw that one of the libs who's trying to replace Pelosi.
That's not a defense of Pelosi or Biden.
They're really awful too, and we got to beat them.
But If you just look at the trajectory of the American political order, it's going in a bad direction.
It is a vindication, not only of Trump and the conservatives and all that, it's a vindication of that old line that I learned from a priest friend of mine about the difference between a conservative optimist and a conservative pessimist.
The conservative pessimist says things can't get any worse.
The conservative optimist says, oh yes, they can.
My favorite comment yesterday is from BeatrixKiddo5 who says, Jim Jones, I got 900 people to drink the Kool-Aid.
Dr. Fauci, amateur!
Oh, you're a huge amateur.
Okay, speaking of injustice and death, Denny Green is a Virginia-based minister.
He was arrested in early March of 2021, three years ago, at a Mount Juliet abortion mill right here in my state of Tennessee.
And he was there singing and praying in the hallway outside the doors of this abortion mill.
And for this grave crime, he's facing 10 and a half years in prison.
Danny, thank you for coming on the show.
Hi, Michael.
Thank you.
What happened?
Well, myself, along with a number of other Christians, met in Mount Juliet to try to save babies one day at that particular CARE-FM abortion clinic.
We gathered in the hallway outside of the clinic, prayed and sang as some of the ladies were reaching out to women who were coming to seek services of the abortion clinic with hopes of changing their minds, offering them help, so they wouldn't have to go through with that.
And after about two hours, we were arrested.
Everything was peaceful.
We worked with the police.
We walked out.
We didn't resist.
And ultimately, we were charged with violating the FACE Act, which was enacted during the Clinton administration in 94, basically to put to death any protest, as they would say, like this.
And that wasn't enough for Merrick Garland and his crew.
They looked back to the 1800s and found a law that was enacted to protect African-Americans against discrimination and having their civil rights violated.
And they charged us with violating a violation of civil rights.
So that added not just our half or six months possible sentence would face another 10 years possible sentence.
I could have told you almost exactly what they would have charged you with before you even said it.
I'm not surprised at all.
This FACE Act, a lot of people don't know about it.
The FACE Act was pushed by Bill Clinton and it was to protect abortion mills from anyone objecting to them slaughtering babies.
That's what it was about.
It was about shutting down peaceful protests.
And it got held up in the legislative process because it was just so obviously evil.
I mean, it's just such an evil law.
So the way that they tried to save face on it was they said, okay, and we're also going to protect houses of worship from protests.
But the FACE Act is never used to prosecute protests at houses of worship.
There's all sorts of vandalism, all sorts of evil stuff that the libs inflict on churches.
And that stuff almost never gets prosecuted.
And the FACE Act is never used as the justification for that kind of prosecution.
Its only use is to protect the abortion mills from people praying and singing outside of them and putting people such as yourself in prison.
Then the Civil Rights Act.
I'm sorry, the older civil rights laws that are being applied by the federal government, because now Right Face Act, it's a federal crime.
It's so disingenuous because in modern society, the justification for any great political movement has to be civil rights and the protection of civil rights.
But of course, what about the civil rights of a little baby not to be murdered?
That seems to have gone out the wayside.
So now you're looking at over a decade in prison.
What are the odds that you have to serve it?
Well, honestly, that's all in the hands of the judge in early July.
We just have the example of the sentencing in a DC case.
The situation with their case was different from ours, so it's not identical, but those defendants received anywhere from 21 months to like 57 months, I believe.
Yeah, but they were held from the moment they were arrested all the way through to the trial.
So, we really don't know.
We're just trusting the father.
What happens, happens, but it's up to the judge.
When you decided to go and peacefully protest at the abortion mill, did you know this might happen?
Well, nobody did.
This has never happened before.
We knew there was a possibility of a face charge, but they pulled this other civil rights issue up out of thin air.
This was all new.
Nobody expected this.
And how are you and your family and your fellow demonstrators holding up?
Well, as for me, I'm blessed.
The Scripture says, you know, those who live godly, Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
And it's nothing we want, but God's grace is sufficient.
And as far as I know with the other defendants, they're friends of mine, they're also like that.
Of course we don't want to go to prison, we have families.
But we're trusting the Father through it all.
Ultimately, He would receive the most glory wherever He has us for the moment.
What do you make, given these kinds of, now it seems common, prosecutions of nice, ordinary people who are just quietly, or at least modestly and peacefully, objecting to infanticide?
All of these prosecutions, people going to prison.
What do you make of President Trump's observation that we're living in a failing nation?
Well, I mean, that's obviously true.
We've been going down this road for a long time.
We're just really running off the cliff.
And those things that God calls an abomination are now accepted as a civil right and as justified and good and wholesome.
So, yeah, we're in a bad state.
The Bible says judgment begins in the house of the Lord.
If things happen like this, those who stand up against evil If hard times are going to have to come to them first, it seems that way right now, then I guess it's the road we're going to have to walk.
But hopefully, with all the press and with all the attention that these crazy, absurd sentences or potential sentences will bring in the way they're persecuting the Church, who stand against wickedness, Hopefully, it will waken people up and some people start speaking out and standing against it.
I know that the politicians, even Trump, has spoken about our case on his campaign trail.
Hopefully, if he gets elected, he won't forget what he said during his campaigning if we're sitting in prison.
When will you find out?
When is the sentencing?
July 2nd and 3rd.
So it's really coming up.
Speaking of President Trump, there's a nice little coincidence there, which is that the President's sentencing is right around that time as well, and then four days after that, you're going to have the Republican National Convention, with or without a nominee, I guess, depending on if they put the nominee in an orange jumpsuit.
Looking ahead at this, not just as a personal and legal issue, but as a political issue, are you hopeful?
I mean, I know you're hopeful in the theological sense, you know, it's a theological virtue, but are you hopeful that the country is going to, this is going to wake people up?
Or do you think that, no, that the libs are going to ramp up this persecution and things are going to get a lot worse before they get better?
Okay, yeah, I think the latter.
I can see where they're at, because that's what they're doing.
The feds have been bringing charges against people who had been arrested years ago, whose court cases had already been settled, they were gone, and then digging those cases up to bring federal charges against them.
Now they're seeing that it's working, at least at this point, they're getting convictions, So, I think they're enjoying their time right now.
But whether things will turn around in the future, I mean, okay, if I don't speak theologically, just what I see around me, I see things growing worse.
I look at, you know, how are college students being taught right now in the universities?
You know, our future leaders and the worldviews people have, and what I see when I minister at the abortion clinics, harder and harder hearts than I used to, say, in the 90s.
But I'm hopeful that if the Church Yeah, that's true.
like the church and become salt and light as we should be, that also will identify.
And hopefully, hopefully, you know, we always want to see revival.
Right.
But things may get tough.
I mean, hey, they got tough in Russia and China and Cuba.
We're not necessarily exempt from hard times.
Yeah, that's true.
And the Christian view of history, of course, is a little different maybe than the secular view of history where they say it's just one damn thing after another.
The Christian view of history is that we know the beginning, we know the pivot of history, the incarnation, the crucifixion, the resurrection, and we know the end of history.
We actually know how the story ends, and it ultimately ends, you know, in a happy way, though there's a lot of A lot of suffering in the meantime, and it seems that our persecutors on the other side of the political aisle are going to ramp that up as quickly as they can.
Denny, best of luck to you.
We will pray for you, of course, and thank you so much for coming on the show.
Thank you, Michael.
All right, I'm Michael Knowles.
