#627 Redirect his plane to The Hague instead of the US.

TODAY: We’re talking about a brutal shooting that happened in our neighborhood, where an “off-duty security guard” shot a 17 year-old who was returning an airsoft gun to a sporting goods store. We discuss how news media’s and the judicial system’s permissive relationship with police violence and vigilante violence has essentially deputized every gun owner in America to act insane. PLUS: We use our liberal backgrounds to explore Democrats’ relationship with its increasingly illiberal leadership, first through the ACLU’s lawsuit against the Biden administration’s Trumpian border policy and then through Democratic leadership inviting Benjamin Netanyahu to speak at congress. Is it worth allowing an elderly racist to close the border and empower Netanyahu to keep Trump out of power? According to the comments on NPR: No! The liberals are destroying California and conservative humor gone awry.
Conservative humor gone awry is going to fascist-phonia today.
So stay tuned.
We're going to take a few pictures of the desert and how their policies are actually messing it up.
It's not beautiful when you go across that corner.
Stay tuned, guys.
We'll show you exactly what it looks like.
We'll show you exactly what it looks like under the swimming deserts.
All there in Martin Luther King.
Stay tuned.
Okay.
All right.
I'm Alexander Edward.
And I'm Tony Boswell.
And we are Minion Death Cult.
The world is ending.
Freaking Republicans.
Freaking inviting Netanyahu to Congress all by themselves.
It's despicable and we're documenting it.
I didn't say there were but they're responsible and it's sickening and we're documenting it.
What's up?
What's up, everybody?
Sorry if that didn't make any sense to you at all.
It will fairly soon.
Just got to introduce a third Mike Ani here.
How you doing Ani?
Hey, good.
Thank you for joining us.
I've decided Ani needs a She needs another name.
Like, you know, she doesn't on his on.
He's worried about being doxed on.
He doesn't want to get doxed, which I guess fair enough.
But you say, like, one of my biggest regrets is using my real last name.
It was a real stupid decision.
And yeah, I said, I said, Ani, you have two middle names and two last names.
Can we pick one of them to be your, to be your stage name?
But she's still, I think you're still worried about getting dogs.
They're all too fucking weird.
They're too findable.
They're not, none of them are normal names.
They're all unique enough that we can still decipher.
They're all just foreign as hell.
That's why she, that's also why she goes by Ani and not her actual first name.
Which is Anya, but yeah, good luck spelling it.
You can't dox her if you can't spell it.
Yeah.
Well, thank you Ani for coming on the show, for helping us co-host this thing.
It's good we had you on this episode in particular because unfortunately we have to talk about a piece of local news right down the street from us.
A teenager was shot to death outside of a Big 5.
This is Seattle, the greater Seattle area.
It's south of Seattle, but it's right at the edge of Seattle in this city called Renton.
And it's kind of going viral as more news, more details from the story come out.
And I'm just reading here from a Fox 13 Seattle tweet.
Which says, an off-duty armed security guard shot and killed a teen who he thought had a gun and was about to rob a Renton sporting goods store, detective said.
According to court documents, the teen didn't even have a real gun on him.
So even when the news is trying to do, I guess, the right thing and report in the, this isn't the headline, but this is, you know, the, whatever, the caption for the post for the link to the article.
Um, even when they're acknowledging that the teen was unarmed, they're still front-loading this with, like, standpoint theory on the off-duty armed security guard?
Like, they're still, they're referring to him like he's a first responder immediately?
Yeah.
Yeah, an off-duty armed security guard.
So he's even less than a security guard?
Now he's not even on duty?
What is this supposed to mean?
I realize it's relevant to why he had a gun or why he had the mindset that he might have had when he chose to extrajudicially kill a teenager.
But, putting it at the front of this headline is just ridiculous in my mind.
Also, clearly they didn't take the guard card training classes.
Which made it very clear that these are not cops.
You're not a cop.
And you are just a citizen who shot somebody.
Dude.
That's what the guard card said.
How many times did they have to emphasize that in the class?
Every slide.
A thousand.
Okay.
One thousand times.
Do people like raise their hand and try to be like, but what about, and they'd be like, nope, never.
Luckily it's just online, but I'm sure, I'm sure there, there, there were guys who are reading, looking at the screen, reading and raising their hand to nobody being like, but what if, but what if they don't have a real gun, but you thought it was a gun?

Yeah.
So just instantly, like before we get into this story, before we read the story, I just wanted to highlight the, like basically the top, one of the top comments, because again, this is an off-duty armed security guard shot and killed a teen who he thought had a gun and was about to rob a rent and sports sporting goods store.
According to court documents, the teen didn't even have a real gun on him.
Big D. American flag emoji.
Replies.
Didn't even have a real gun?
What's that mean?
He had a fake one?
Yeah, I mean, that is what came to mind.
I'm curious about that.
Yeah, what's the opposite of real, bro?
Yeah.
What's not real?
This is also, like, this is all taking place in a fucking open carry state.
Even if it was a real gun, this dude didn't know how old the kid was, and he had no reason to think that it was actually, like, a crime taking place, that it was illegal.
It's a fucking open carry state, and dudes like Big D make a big deal out of it all the time.
Also, I'm presuming he did have a fake gun on him outside of a store that sells fake guns.
And real ones!
And real ones, totally, yeah.
Yeah, let's get into what actually happened.
He didn't have a real gun.
Oh, and here's Big D's profile.
I'm a MAGA motherfucker.
And then there's a line break.
Exploring the chaos known as X.
Just another pirate on these deadly seas.
Second Amendment, understander, look at that.
Yeah, hashtag 2A.
At Seahawks, at Mariners, hashtag conservative.
No DMs!
And it's like, well, you can do that in your settings, which you have done.
There's no need to bring me into it.
Yeah, don't give me permission to DM you.
And then his top tweet is pinned His pinned tweet is, uh, Mount Rushmore, but they're all wearing epic Make America Great Again hats.
Different, like, variations of it.
He just has the whole collection, which is so much cooler than just the regular one.
Yeah, so here's the Fox 13 article about it.
Docs.
So, like, court documents.
Docs.
Armed man thought teens were about to rob rent and business before deadly shooting.
Teens weren't armed.
Um, and again, like, I don't know.
It's still your, like, Absolving the shooting, it seems like, to a certain degree by putting this in the headline.
But let me read the story.
Okay, so yeah, Renton, Washington, an off-duty armed security guard, shot and killed a teen who he thought had a gun and was about to rob a Renton sporting goods store, detectives said.
According to court documents, the teen didn't even have a real gun on him.
The incident occurred around 7.40 p.m.
on June 5th outside the Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the Renton Village Shopping Center on South Grady Way.
This is the one with the Wajimaya, right?
Yeah, and the pet store and stuff.
Yeah, we go to the Asian food market at this place.
Pretty sad.
According to court documents, 51-year-old Aaron Brown Myers of Newcastle pulled into the shopping center parking lot to pick up his 13-year-old son, who was training at Jiu-Jitsu gym near the Big Five Sporting Goods store.
Myers told officers that he is a security guard and had just gotten off duty to get his son.
Myers was not employed to protect the shopping center.
Whoa!
That that whoa so he's just a guy he's just a guy who shot a kid.
He's just a fucking dude.
He wasn't even like on quote like on duty he just was got off that's that's insane.
He in this other Seattle Times article that I found he uh said police said he told them he conducts overwatch at the strip mall because of crimes he's witnessed in the parking lot.
Fuck off.
Fuck off.
Isn't that like a literal video?
Isn't Overwatch like the name of a video game?
I think so.
Yeah.
Uh, wow.
Yeah, just like making the fact that you don't have a life everybody else's problem.
Um, Myers told officers that he's a security guard.
Uh, yeah.
While waiting for his son, Myers said he saw three young people walking towards the sports star- sports store.
One appeared to have what Myers thought was a gun at his waistband.
So not in his waistband, at his waistband.
Myers got out of his truck and pointed his gun at the group from behind.
He told them to stop, put their hands up, and drop the weapon.
Myers told detectives later that he thought the teens were going to commit an armed robbery and he didn't have time to call 911.
According to court documents, Meyers said he, quote, had a duty to stop the individuals from hurting someone innocent and to protect his son, who was at the location next door to Big Five Sporting Goods.
Imagine your dad fucking loses his shit, kills, like, holds a bunch of people your age or like a little older than you, like the cool kids, essentially.
Holds them hostage because they were returning an airsoft gun, which is what they were doing.
And then kills them and then blames it on you says, Oh, well, my, my son's a little baby too scared, too scared to be next to a big five sporting goods where anything can happen.
Well, it sounds like you're coddling your baby.
If you're just going to shoot anything that, you know, that threatens your kid, you're going to make a soft ass baby.
This is like something from a Todd Salons movie.
This is like something that would have happened in happiness.
Yep, yep.
I think you would have done something different to the teens and happiness.
But yeah, I had a duty to stop these people walking into a fucking big five.
The teens initially complied and put their hands up.
The teen who had the quote gun, which ended up being an airsoft gun, tossed the weapon to the side.
It's funny that they call it a weapon here though.
Yeah, of course they did.
Myers told detectives that he tried to use his arm to restrain the teen who dropped the quote weapon.
So they use scare quotes around weapon here, but they've already used it in earnest calling it a weapon.
So are they quoting themselves right here?
He told detectives that he saw the teen did not have the weapon but wanted to make sure he couldn't grab it.
So it goes on.
Yeah, I just but I just read he tried to use his arm to restrain the teen who dropped the weapon according to court documents.
Myers told detectives that he gave the teens multiple commands to stop and that they did not.
He said one teen was backing up with his hands in the air saying, what the fuck, man?
Myers reiterated to detectives that the teens would not follow his commands.
That's his excuse is they weren't following orders.
They weren't following my commands.
And I mean, maybe I'm like giving the game away here and maybe I should save this for the end of the segment.
But it's fucking obvious why people are doing this.
Not only are like people, you know, obviously racist and classist and just eager for eager for a conflict that gives their life meaning.
They're also very clearly emboldened by how society treats cops, by how society treats killer cops and by how society treats Stand your ground vigilante types.
It's very clear that the way we've treated these killer cops has emboldened people to thinking, hey, I can make a mistake.
You know what?
Maybe those kids weren't robbers, but it's better safe than sorry.
And the public will understand that I had a reasonable threat for the merchandise of Big Five.
And what's wild is we established a long time ago, the kid put the gun down.
The kid put the airsoft gun down.
Well, the story goes on there anymore.
His excuse is that a different he didn't even shoot that kid.
He shot a different kid who he said was reaching for his waistband using exact cop language used to absolve the police of killing young black men.
The victim, I don't know the race of the victim, but his name is Hazrat Ali Rohani.
So there's a good chance that this kid was an immigrant or the child of immigrants.
There's a good chance he wasn't white.
I'm going to say probably not white.
I'm going to go ahead and feel confident in saying that.
You know, obviously it's wrong to kill a kid of any race, but it does perhaps indicate some further motive other than just the generic conservative psychopathy about defending private property, even if it isn't yours, from somebody who isn't even threatening it.
In Washington State, a citizen's arrest can be conducted to detain someone you see committing a misdemeanor or felony, like when a store employee restrains a shoplifter.
Private citizens don't have the authority to detain someone or take them to jail for believing a crime could be committed.
If a person detains someone they didn't see commit a crime, it could be considered false imprisonment.
Meyer said he thought he saw a teen reach for something in his waistband, so he fired multiple times.
According to court documents, he stood over the teen on the ground and continued to fire.
Oh my god!
So just a psychopath.
An obvious, desperate psychopath.
Eager to take a human life.
That's what it looks like to me, obviously.
Yeah, this is like a moment he's been waiting for his whole life.
He finally has what he thinks is the perfect situation to give himself spiritual, psychic permission to just fucking shoot a brown kid.
Yeah, absolutely.
In front of possibly in front of his 13 year old son who was waiting for him to pick him up at fucking jujitsu.
Pretty likely.
I mean, I don't know.
Most like.
Yeah, horrific stuff.
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
have full glass windows plate glass it's all it's all glass where you can see outside like I'm sure they like all watch this yeah horrific stuff the 17 year old was pronounced dead at the scene the King County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teen as has rot Ali Rouhani again rest in peace just Jesus Christ.
Heart goes out to his family and friends and the kids who had to see this happen, whether they were his friends or, you know, from the martial arts class.
The other two teens in surveillance footage confirmed Meyers' account.
Meyers was booked into King County Jail for second degree murder.
A charging decision from prosecutors is expected on June 10th.
Bail has been set at $2 million.
I don't know how we continue to function as societies Without throwing this man in prison for the rest of his life, how do you like like, how do you?
You know, I'm again like prison prison isn't isn't the the What the reforming tool we need it to be but if you've killed somebody like this in cold blood like I think yes You should not be on the streets anymore I mean you can maybe try to maybe this guy could say that it was mental illness made him Act the way all of the suburban Facebook memes told him to act.
But I don't know.
Take a look at this guy's social media feed and you could probably see that this is easily premeditated.
Like Ani was saying, you know?
Yeah.
This man just proved that he's not safe around teenagers.
He's definitely not safe around non-white teenagers.
What option is there for him but to be separated from most of society?
I don't know.
Yeah, and their hat their hat.
I believe like, you know, I don't think like the death penalty itself is a deterrent, but I do think like yeah prison is a deterrent for certain things like you don't want to go to prison for it or whatever.
We need to start fucking locking these guys up who Who do this shit who do like the the most heinous shit that is worthy of I'm not talking shoplifting I'm not I'm not talking, you know, whatever Non-violent crimes like this is this is nuts.
Um, and I really do think like We've let it get way too.
I mean, you know, obviously in some states they're encouraging stuff like this at the at the very highest levels, uh, Washington probably not one of those states, you know, Washington Very in favor of it's guns.
It's a, it's a high gun ownership state, but even among like gun owners, the gun owners know this isn't the way you're supposed to act.
Yeah.
You know?
Um, what's really interesting too, is you, you, you kind of for this earlier, but the way that they're treating this, the way they're treating him and what, what other cases Is there a murder where you give the murderous perspective throughout the entire article?
Yeah.
And you do it first.
You give it like... You do it first, yeah.
You give it pride of place in the article, yeah.
This is being covered just like a police killing.
Just like when cops kill, that's why you can't trust this because you're listening to the cops talk about what they did.
You're listening to this fake cop talk about what he did.
His perspective shouldn't matter.
It should just say, You know, she'd say, like, surveillance footage shows him executing the child.
Like, that's what it should say, period.
And it does.
It gives him, like, they try to give him some, like, empathy, like, understanding why he was, what his headspace was like going into this.
Like, fuck off.
Yeah.
That's not cool.
Don't try to make, don't humanize this piece of shit.
Yeah, no.
Fuck this guy.
This guy shouldn't be allowed to have guns for the rest of his life.
This guy shouldn't be allowed to drive a big truck for the rest of his life.
He can only have a Geo Metro.
That's it.
Um, yeah.
No, it is.
It is like in a way, you know, these, these like vigilante laws or the stand your ground laws in a way are like, and I'm sure other people have written about this far more eloquently and, you know, done their research on it.
Um, it is a way of like deputizing the public.
It is a way of like the right wing implicitly deputizing suburbanites or, uh, you just reactionary elements of a city or whatever.
Like it is.
And Even the media like we're talking about here is doing the same thing by giving them the same You know this put it putting their story in the same light that they would for for a cop Let me read the last part of this story Bail has been set at $2,000,000.
The shooting came about an hour after a public safety meeting kicked off in Renton.
The meeting was for Renton Police to talk about tackling crime, safety, and cracking down on gun violence.
According to Renton Police, the King County Sheriff's Office was having a training exercise near the parking lot so they were quick to the scene.
Where is the quote in here?
Dammit, I...
It was in this story, they quoted him as saying, like, nobody's doing anything, so I have to take care of it myself.
Goddamnit.
And it was juxtaposed next to the Renton Police having a fair, having a, like a, whatever, public outreach safety fair.
Like, these guys are just in their own world.
These guys are just in their, they're in the Twilight Zone, man.
He's saying this after the fact.
After he knows that nothing was actually happening and he was wrong, he's still like, listen, I had to stop the hypothetical.
I had a crazy thing in my brain and I had to make sure that crazy thing in my brain didn't come to fruition.
Yeah, let's get into some responses here Because yeah, of course people are trying to justify this but the way people are justifying it is is as usual pretty interesting Texas Dale says had an airsoft gun walking into a retail store with it and in waistband No one said that Shooting was not justified.
He stopped a robbery from occurring, that's obvious, but he murdered someone, destroyed his family's life, and destroyed the victim's family as well.
And Thizzle replies there's no proof that they were about to rob the place lol Dexysdale says yeah there's no quote proof and I always like to carry my airsoft pistol in my waistband to look non-threatening.
Seriously, I think he was right in assuming they had plans and was 100 wrong in murdering the kid.
So this guy thinks he's like being an enlightened centrist by acknowledging both sides have their points and it's like no the side that imagines a criminal in the heart of every potential shopper it led led to this shooting you can't have it both ways like you pessimistically looking at kids walking into a sporting goods store with a gun You know, I like they're like robbers don't walk in like that.
I don't know.
You know what I mean?
The fact that this is how you look at fellow human beings is, of course, the kind of ideology that leads to this sort of interaction.
And what is the defining characteristic that separates those who carry guns to stop robberies and those who are carrying guns to do robberies?
You know, what do you think that difference is, bud?
Um, and yeah, they're, they're picking up on what he said when he, he said, Oh, another kid went to his waistband and that's why I shot him.
So they're picking up on that and they're picking up on the language in the article that I read where he said the kids had a gun at his waistband, meaning what he was holding it in his hand and it was down, it was down at his side, you know, by his waistband, like Um, so they're picking up on that and pretending that they were that this this security guard clocked a gun in a waistband from across the parking lot.
If you have a gun in your waistband, it's because it's under your shirt.
You know what I mean?
You're not like you're not in a rap video walking into.
You also, like, if there's a fucking dad, like, straddling one of your friends on the ground with a gun to him and your friend just discarded his airsoft gun, you think, shit, maybe I should discard my airsoft gun because this crazy fucking white man is gonna shoot my friend.
Like, do you think that maybe if he was reaching for it it was because he was gonna throw it away because you're screaming at him to do that and you have a gun to his friend?
Well, there wasn't even a second airsoft gun.
But yeah, if he did have one, he would also want to get rid of it.
But there but he wasn't even armed with there was one airsoft gun that they were all that they were all going to because it wasn't working.
Yeah, we're all going to go return it so they could fucking play airsoft.
I also if this dude had a loaded handgun in his car, I'm pretty sure that that is illegal in Washington.
I think that that violates our concealed carry law.
I don't think you're allowed to have a loaded handgun in your car.
Oh, but he's a security guard.
Did you forget he's a security guard?
Oh yeah, that's true.
He's a security guard.
How am I supposed to overwatch with an empty gun?
Well, you can have a... I mean, if you can carry, you can carry while you're driving, right?
Like, I don't... I'm pretty sure Washington has specific concealed carry laws when it comes to carrying, like, loaded guns.
Like, it has to be in the trunk or something?
I mean...
Like, I just don't... I don't know.
I could look it up, but I just read about it because we saw someone open carrying in the store, and we were like, we should probably figure out how to talk to this guy, you know, if it comes to that.
So I had to get this response because he has a minion as his avatar, and this is teachmonkey2fly.
This is... the display name is the exact same as the at, so it's all one word, teachmonkey2fly.
This is like somebody who is I guess intelligent because he's like a pilot and I think he used to work for Boeing going off of his Personal profile, but he's definitely one of those guys that like refuse to learn anything new after the age of 35 or something and just doesn't understand like the difference between an at and a display name.
So you just make the display name your at, you know, all one word.
He says, yeah, the security guard should first ask the robber quote, is that a real gun so that he can, you know, determine whether lethal force is justified.
And again, like these people don't even read the article don't even know that know the story or they're already arguing, you know, they don't they didn't read that the kid dropped the airsoft gun long before another kid was shot.
But yeah, you go to his profile and it's just he retired engineer designed aircraft structure mechanical electrical system repair private pilot instrument rated in over 500 hours as pilot-in-command.
And that's why he has the minion logos because it's a pilot minion.
It's a minion with like an air traffic kind of, you know, a headset on.
And I just want to say, teach monkey to fly.
He does not represent the pilot community.
Most pilots, you know, we like to get in the sky to get away and clear our heads.
We're not thinking about about, you know, executing teams.
It's not how this teach monkey to fly is as an outlier.
And I I'm disappointed more than anything.
Right.
You just, you're, you kind of get up there to get away from it, get above it all.
You know, it's, yeah.
Yeah.
It's not what, not what flying is about.
But if I was into this kind of violence, I would become a drone pilot, you know, but I like to fly real aircraft.
And then, so this one, this is the like last reply I have, but it leads us to a very interesting place, because yeah, Brandon Picariello says apparently it was three teens with BB guns, a fight before a Navy veteran, and he wanted to protect his daughter inside the store and is bought charged yet.
So it's not supposed to be not charged and is bought charged yet.
It's line break.
Not saying who's right and wrong, but unsurprising, the article leaves out details to support their agenda.
I was like, what are you?
What?
I haven't heard that.
A fight?
A Navy veteran?
Protect his daughter?
What are you talking about?
Yeah.
He linked to screenshots of a different article in a different Seattle news outlet that, my God, we have to look at right now because it was something else.
So I think that's So he shared screenshots from the Cairo 7 reporting on this, which begins Renton, Washington.
A Navy veteran out of Newcastle is behind bars at the King County Jail after allegedly shooting and killing a 17-year-old outside a store in Renton Shopping Center Wednesday evening.
Renton police say the 51-year-old confronted the three teenagers outside the Big 5 Sporting Goods store, got into an argument with them, then a fight broke out until finally the man shot one of the teens seven times.
Finally.
It's all finally.
This is like text textbook.
Textbook stand your ground shit.
This is how they describe it.
The reality, just a huge fucking loser with nothing better to do and also a profound hatred of humanity in his heart, goes up and starts a fight with a bunch of kids, holding them at gunpoint, and then when the kids object, he shoots them all.
And this is described at them all, obviously, but he shoots one of them to death.
And then this this is described as a fight.
And yeah, this is how they do it.
Somebody, a sovereign citizen, not a sovereign citizen, but an upstanding citizen type, goes and starts a fight that they have no intention of finishing without a gun.
And then when they kill somebody, they can say, well, there was a fight.
There was a fight.
And so he had to defend himself with his deadly weapon.
Honestly, I wish you would have told me a long time ago he was a Navy veteran because I would have totally, you know, understood why he did this because, and if you're a Navy, that means you're a good person.
If you're a veteran, that means you're a good and righteous and just person.
You would never do anything bad.
And so therefore like that, like you have to tell us that.
Because I didn't know his character, his character build, but he's a Navy veteran, so he's a good dude.
Totally.
The suspect first appeared in court on Thursday afternoon at the King County Jail courtroom.
His defense attorney claims that the Navy veteran saw three teens with what appeared to be guns.
So now it's plural guns.
They're claiming that he saw plural guns now so he can justify why he shot the kid who didn't even have an airsoft gun to begin with.
Walking towards the sporting goods store.
According to probable cause documents, the suspect feared for his 13-year-old son's safety.
The son was in jujitsu class next to the Big Five store.
Listen, you gotta protect the kids.
Do you know how crazy these guns are?
A bullet can go through a wall like that and hit somebody grappling in a matter of seconds.
The King County Sheriff's Office was conducting a training exercise right next to the shopping center and just down the road.
Quote, it feels like nowadays we talk about it so much and we say things need to be fixed and things need to be solved and all, but what's actually happening?
Nothing.
So it's time that we actually start making change instead of just talking about how change needs to happen, Coates said.
That's the name of the killer.
Describing his murder, his murder of a 17 year old boy as change that needed to be made.
Listen, return policies have gotten out of control.
You can just return whatever you want, sometimes without a receipt.
These kids need to understand buyer's remorse.
He was just going there and returning, probably exchanged that airsoft gun for a brand new one.
We got to stop it.
We got to be the change you want to see.
Your tech support just expired, I say, as I fired seven rounds into the 17 year old.
Yeah, crazy.
So yeah, the guy, the commenter, Read that, and imagined a daughter protecting a daughter inside the store?
Sons don't need protecting, okay?
If my son does jujitsu, he can fucking protect himself, okay?
What are you saying about my son?
Well, he was learning jujitsu, not Krav Maga.
If he were learning Krav Maga, I'd have no problem just letting him take on the three boys.
My son only knows how to fight when the fight goes to the ground, okay?
He wasn't ready for this.
I do shoot at my son a couple times a day to make sure he's ready to avoid bullets.
It's good training.
I saw some of, not the CCTV footage of the kid actually being shot, but a little bit of the CCTV footage of him interacting with the dude.
And he was in front of the building, which means the dude shot towards the building his fucking kid was in.
Yeah, these are the people we want in control folks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, let's I mean sad story.
I guess we'll wait to see what if he gets convicted.
We'll wait to see what kind of freaks rally to his cause in real life.
We'd see if There's some sort of, I don't know, vigil or some sort of like rally on his behalf that we could go to.
Yeah, so yeah, again, hearts go out to this family and friends and the community at large.
This guy's a fucking monster.
Yeah.
And we need, we need to teach him a lesson.
Teach society a lesson.
Use him as an example.
I strongly believe that.
Absolutely.
If you, if you like know his son, if you know that 13 year old, like you need to radicalize him real hard right now.
I'm sure he's fucking traumatized as hell right now.
If he isn't already.
Um, but yeah.
Okay.
Let's move on.
This is not a fire drill.
Yo nigga, this the real thing.
Gang, gang, yeah.
But that bitch at nighttime, that kind of shit don't see me.
Acting like an asshole, pocket holding 50.
Pull it with a Mickey Mouse clip, this ain't this.
Spin that bend in face, shout it niggas, still identity.
Put a big dog food on you, can you flip it?
Sipping lean like parwall, I might just put a grill in.
Boy, you'll get your pawpaws, chill it with the bitch in.
You know me, pull a Pluto move, take white Scottie Pippen.
Bitch got full of all red, like it beef with Crippin'.
I done that got a head from every bad bitch in the city.
Keep that doggy in a 360 deal, pulling gimmicks.
What's that floating in your cup, mind your business?
I'm out sports center, Rodeo pull the killers.
I spend the man on drink before I ate, I need to ass whip.
My closet like a fucking car.
So things not going so great for them, for the Democratic voter.
Ani and I, we have both, I think, strong liberal backgrounds.
I come from generational labor Democrats.
I know, Ani, your parents have been involved in politics to varying degrees, progressive and liberal causes, if not more radical stuff.
Yeah.
Pretty far left at this point, but I grew up in a household where, like, in the morning he would, like, turn on NPR and, like, be in another room by the time the radio, like, warmed up and started playing, all things considered.
But I grew up waking up to that theme song.
Yeah.
And so, uh, you know, I know, I know Tony was, I don't know if you were raised liberal, but you were, you were, you definitely were liberal.
And, you know, I, I, I was raised liberal and, and, you know, kind of found my own way to the farther left to like class politics.
But a lot of that to me was just like a logical extension.
It was just, it was just, uh, it was like the, uh, Finding the symbolic way to write down what my liberal values were was through class politics, essentially.
But I feel like there's a lot of liberals right now, there's a lot of progressives who haven't fully
Realize just how crazy the Democratic Party is right now because you know, obviously they're so afraid of Trump and I'm not I don't begrudge them that you know, I'm not going to laugh at somebody who doesn't want Trump to be president Because I understand that I don't want Trump to be president either We did see what a Trump presidency would look like and no it wasn't the quote end of democracy But it also wasn't very good and
Uh, so yeah, I don't come down too hard on people who are, who are vociferously anti-Trump.
But for people who like believe in the democratic party or people who consider themselves democratic voters, you know, there's been a series of things in this last, you know, last year, obviously like is Israel's genocide of Gaza should make any liberal or democratic voter pause obviously like is Israel's genocide of Gaza should make any liberal or democratic voter pause and wonder what And more on that in just in our next segment.
But another recent sort of wedge issue, another recent sort of like, I don't know, a conversation.
Come to Jesus moment for the Democratic Party is watching Biden issue an executive order on immigration that is identical to the executive order that Trump tried to issue on immigration.
To just shut it down.
To just stop it.
This is something that has been touted as a Biden win because Biden gets to, supposedly, Biden's going to get all this credit for fixing the border issue.
By again just closing down ports of entry by denying asylum seekers and for what seems to be a lot of liberals This end justifies the means of further punishing some of the most desperate people in the world.
And the end that they're talking about is giving another presidential term to the guy doing it.
Well, it's worth letting him do it if he gets to be president and do it again.
I'm not quite sure how this logic, the logic really works only in the sense if you think Donald Trump is far, far worse than Biden, which I'm not entirely convinced of.
Like I, you know, I will, I will say I don't want Trump to be president.
I'm not at all convinced Biden's any like that much better, to be honest.
Um, and again, like with, With Israel trying to tie what it's doing to Jewishness being a real problem for Jews worldwide, obviously, I look the same way at this Democratic Party.
Why would you want to be associated with this guy, even if he is better than Trump or whatever?
He's still insanely on, like just the wrong person for so many, for so many reasons.
Um, and it's, you're doing like irreparable damage, like, like picking Biden as your, as your leader is doing.
The Democrat is doing the Republicans the same favor that picking Trump was doing for Democrats.
You know, like it's, it's insanity to me.
So the ACLU, Except Trump wasn't even trying to move any of the Democratic policies forward for them.
Like not only do they get that whole thing where like, Oh, we have an absolute loser.
We put in, you know, you guys elect an absolute loser.
Who's not us.
So we look better, but also this loser is helping us out.
He's doing what we want to do.
And like you said, it's not much worse.
I can't think of anything good he's done necessarily.
And I can only think of policies he's made worse.
I can only think of Trump policies that he's made worse.
I mean I can think of good things he's done like he's helped out with with union pensions like that's that's good but the rest of the good stuff he's done is like bog standard neoliberal incremental like tax reform tax credit like okay infrastructure but it's not anywhere near the amount of infrastructure we need and of course you could say well he has to get Republicans to sign on yada yada yada well wasn't that the whole reason I was supposed to vote for Biden in the first place is that he was able to get Republicans to sign on that he was going to convince them to be reasonable because
Because let's face it.
He's this old racist like that's the argument for putting him on the Obama ticket Was that he's this old racist that's gonna not scare that's gonna like whatever mitigate the fear that people see when they read a Barack Obama on a party line and Now he can't even fulfill that he can't even fulfill the cynical reason.
He was supposedly put into power in the first place Okay, so ACLU Issued a statement breaking the Biden administration just announced the executive order that will severely restrict people's legal right to seek asylum, putting tens of thousands of lives at risk.
This action takes the same approach as the Trump administration's asylum ban, which they also challenged in court.
Successfully.
Uh, so this is like standard for them.
This is them looking at a Republican policy and being like, well, we got to sue this.
Yeah.
And so I was just this got a lot of backlash, obviously on Twitter.
And this is what I'm talking about.
This is like what I want to explore in these next two segments.
Pretty Foot Woman.
That's her at is Pretty Foot Woman.
Her display name.
Can we get that media tab real quick?
Can we go and hit that?
It is, unfortunately, mostly White House retweets.
Bullshit.
That is such bullshit.
But don't worry, I will answer your question, Tony.
I will give you some data that we can possibly form a hypothesis about Pretty Foot Woman.
Pretty Foot Woman has in her display name an emoji of a dancer.
You know, the dancer with the red dress?
Flamenca dancer.
Flamenca dancer.
And it's pretty foot woman hashtag Biden and Harris, yada, yada, yada, yada.
I think we'll look at her profile in the next slide, but pretty foot woman says sometimes you have to wonder about the ACLU.
I wonder quite a bit.
Oh yeah.
And this is like, this is like the Democrat version of, of the racist noticer.
You know, like, like, hmm, oh, oh, oh, this, this one, you know, policy I don't like.
Oh, it looks like there's a Steinbaum behind it.
Hmm, shouldn't have noticed that.
She's like, she's like looking at the ACLU for Russian sounding names.
Yeah, totally.
That's that's definitely what she means here.
Because it's like the ACL is supposed to support whatever Democrats do.
The ACL, you only exist to come after the Republicans and racists, right?
We can't come over to the ones that we don't say out loud the racism.
You're supposed to leave us alone.
If there ever were a Democrat race, a racist Democrat, Tony, I would be the first to call them out as a pretty foot woman.
I would put my pretty foot down and say, say no more, but I haven't seen one.
I've never seen a racist Democrat before.
Yeah.
So going to her profile, she has, well, her full name is pretty foot woman, hashtag Biden Harris, 2024.
And then her cover photo is like, I don't know.
It's it's like a superhero propaganda poster of a man like Superman style superhero standing next to a superwoman style superhero.
And at the top it says, We the voters voting is your superpower.
And her avatar is Joe Biden.
And it says, I'm with him.
Which instead of her, like, did they really run with that?
Was that like a grassroots thing?
Or did the Biden campaign actually take the Hillary and gender swap the Hillary phrase?
Wow.
That's pretty funny.
Honestly, if like K-Hive and shit did that themselves, they erased the her from this to put a him in there.
You gotta admire that.
That's real politic.
her bio says stepping dot dot one pretty foot at a time.
And I see these fucking feet.
Amazing.
I got to see these beautiful feet.
Well, I don't think we get to see the feet, but we.
OK, Thomas Rob.
This is from 2013.
to Thomas Roberts says, second person in two weeks that I've discovered who shares my crooked pinkies.
Who else is out there?
And Pretty Foot Woman replies, sorry to say, dot dot dot, add me to the list, slash, but I make up for it by having pretty feet, slash, smiling.
So I think she just has pretty feet, dude.
She just likes her feet.
Hey, breaking.
Local woman likes her feet.
That's good for you.
Good for you, sis.
That's great.
Honestly, I wish we had more positivity and wholesome pride like this.
I wish everybody could feel this proud of their feet.
Okay, more responses!
That's it for Pretty Foot Woman.
What's Her Name says, you're comparing them, so like Biden and Trump, you're comparing them, ACL, who are you?
Who are you?
You think you're legal scholars or something?
So who do you think is trying to make the immigration process easier, faster, more efficient, and safe?
I mean, the guy just banned it.
He just said he was going to stop it.
So, like, I don't know.
I don't know what you're talking about.
He didn't say any of those things.
You said him for him for some weird fucked up reason because you guys feel like you have to defend it and you just think he's doing the opposite of whatever Trump is doing because he's a different party.
You fucking idiots.
He, in fact, said, yeah, we're going to keep doing those things.
We're going to do them more.
We're going to do them harder.
And Kamala Harris fucking went to, like, Guatemala and said, yeah, don't come.
Yeah, don't come.
Yeah.
You got a beautiful country here.
Why would you want to leave this?
God, you don't know how many Americans are jealous of this beachfront living.
Are you kidding me?
You don't want to come here and die in the desert.
I don't know if there are any Guatemalan beaches.
I'm just kind of assuming there are.
Who has promised never to separate families?
Biden promised never to separate families.
I didn't hear about this one.
Who is trying to make sure asylum seekers are who they claim to be?
You think they're comparable?
Wow.
Okay.
A debtor slaw daddy who says both of them are doing that crap.
What's-her-name replies, I agree, but they're not the same.
If you think anyone will be treated more humanely under a Trump regime, you're too high.
These things are why center-right votes MAGA.
It's called compromise.
It will win elections.
Keep MAGA out or we all lose and the suffering will be greater.
Again, yeah, so this is throw immigrants under the bus or else we all suffer.
That's like, that's the logic here.
Um, time and time again, it's been shown that the Democrats adopting Republican policies doesn't even help them win elections.
Yeah.
Like, Biden being an asshole on immigration isn't going to get him credit with Trump voters.
No.
Like they're already saying, why did you cancel Trump's executive orders if you were going to do the same thing?
You created this.
By signing this executive order, you're admitting that the Republican politicking and the Republican propaganda about the border has merit to it.
You know?
And you're giving them a W even by acknowledging this.
But yeah, the argument is I just trust him.
I trust this guy who can barely form a sentence to do it in the most humane way possible.
Yeah.
Cause like, I don't, I don't think that Trump's going to do any more humanely.
I think they're both very bad.
Yeah, obviously.
Diane says, can you do this after the election, ACLU?
Can you do this after the election when sorry fascism is at our door?
Let's get Dems the Senate House and White House and do real immigration reform.
We can do it fairly and humanely.
Don't give GOP more ammunition.
Please don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
And then Veronica responds with a gif of, like, a badass lady with a ponytail and aviator sunglasses pointing up at the tweet and going, THIS.
Hell yeah.
Okay, let me just, let me go through this here.
Immigration reform.
You using the phrase immigration reform is giving GOP ammunition.
That is a GOP issue.
Immigration reform.
Now, I mean, obviously there's like, People who are advocates for immigrants and Asylum seekers who want actual like a reform to the way we handle all of this instead of the just incremental Policing of the border that is obviously going to result in fewer, you know legal fewer people Going through the process to even seek asylum
But if you're talking about immigration reform as a Democrat, you're talking about like the Republican pet issue of there's too many immigrants and we need to fix the system, yada, yada, yada.
And then just like ending it with don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
Like you're calling.
An end to asylum seekers.
Good.
It's not perfect, but it's still good.
We can all agree, right?
Yeah, I don't know how you do this as supposedly liberal, progressive person.
Representative Steve Woodrow, who's maybe running for representative, because it says Woodrow for CEO here, says, is he forcibly separating families for sport?
If not, not the same approach.
And here's, this is like, I think another good, like, explainer of how the liberal, the progressive immigration hawk views themselves.
Well, when they do it, they're doing it out of maliciousness.
When they separate families at the border, they're doing it because they're mean.
Like, when we do it, it's just because we want a more efficient, streamlined pro- or whatever.
You know, it's like- We're running the numbers, alright?
That's why.
And it is almost incapable of having a theory of minds beyond your party's caricature of the opposition.
Do you think Trump thinks he's evil when he does this?
You know what I mean?
He thinks he's doing it for a good reason too.
It's just like we said, you know, said before, it's like they're doing the same thing.
Just one has merch.
So you feel like it's less good.
You know, like, well, they're clearly doing this for funsies.
It's like there's it just doesn't matter why you're doing it.
It's still happening.
Yeah.
Listen, when when Biden separates families, it's with integrity.
It's cute and playful.
Yeah.
Not only when Trump does it.
No.
For sport?
For funsies?
No thank you.
Fundamentally missing the point that both parties' idea of immigration being a problem is that it's happening at all.
That it's a thing that's happening.
That thousands of people are showing up at the border desperately trying to escape horrific conditions.
And they're yeah the fact that it's a problem for them like they're they're having a problem with it isn't because like oh my god these people are living in these like decrepit you know prison camps at the desert in the desert border or that they're dying like by the thousands every year trying to cross the desert the problem is just that they want in.
Yep.
A couple more responses to the ACLU Boomer riding with Biden 2024 says that's literally why he is signing it to prove to the GOP You can't executive order fix the border Congress must act That's he's doing it to prove that it's wrong to do it guys Polly I think this is the last guy Polly who has a Israeli flag and his avatar Or it is display name
Polly says him doing this so close to the election is mind boggling.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I think him he is he's doing it because we're close to the election because the Democrats think they can win over sensible centrist by being mean to immigrants like that.
That is why he's doing it.
However, if you're already experiencing problems with your base because of I don't know all the support you're giving to Israel as it kills tens of thousands of women and children in Palestine.
Yeah, throwing another fucking log on the fire seems like a weird thing to do.
Seems like a weird thing to do when you're already losing support from your Muslim and young voting blocs to also just attack immigrants.
Very strange, but yeah, if you go to Pauly's profile, Brooklyn, New York City, born, raised, liberal, and swifty.
Likes WWE, Yankees, Knicks, Star Wars, Marvels, DC, hashtag SVU, horror, Harry Potter, science, supernatural, and dogs.
Dog emoji, rainbow flag emoji.
And yeah, again, just has the, he's from Pittsburgh, but I guess he feels a kinship with BB, Netanyahu, having, from both of them being from Pennsylvania, and that's why he has the Israeli flag and his fucking display name, dude.
Looks like you're on oxygen.
You're from Pittsburgh and you're a Yankees, Knicks fan?
Just tell us what kind of person you are, you piece of shit.
Also, it looks like you're on oxygen, man.
I wonder how the people of oxygen who people of Palestine who need oxygen are doing dude.
Oh Yeah.
Yeah, for real.
You can't worry about them.
We've got an apartheid wall at home to worry about, you know?
Exactly.
Oh, his pinned photo is Tony Stark from the first Iron Man movie throwing up a peace sign and saying, I just want peace.
Which is I guess hopefully snarky.
Hopefully he has enough self-awareness to know that this is well, this is an arms manufacturer in this picture Pretending to want peace while profiting directly off of war.
I hope he's doing this with like some sense of self-awareness It really sucks that that rainbow flag is in his biography because now we have to cut this part and we can't really to tell till July Okay, so moving on, but not quite changing the subject all that much because another thing that Biden is just almost like, how do you even explain this really?
Another thing that he's doing so close to an election is inviting Benjamin Netanyahu to speak at Congress.
Benjamin Netanyahu famous for loving and supporting and wanting to reelect his opposition, Biden's opposition.
Now, Biden didn't himself invite Benjamin Netanyahu to Congress.
That was, of course, the congressional leaders.
That was it was the Speaker of the House for the Republicans.
It was majority leader in the Senate for Republicans, or it was sorry.
Who was it?
It was Who's the speaker?
What's his name again?
Mike Johnson.
It was Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnell, who, along with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic congressional leaders, collectively invited Benjamin Netanyahu to speak.
Despite Chuck Schumer having been vocally critical of Netanyahu, like many American liberals, Netanyahu represents a good scapegoat for them.
Netanyahu represents a good, like, I don't know if you'd call him a sacrificial lamb, but he represents a good figurehead to point out and say, well, this is why the genocide's happening.
It's because of this one guy, right?
But you still have to, for some reason, invite him to speak at Congress.
And now there's some like gossip going around that Biden himself Leaned on Chuck Schumer to join the Republicans in inviting Benjamin Netanyahu as a condition of Netanyahu accepting the peace deal that Biden released that he said was already supported by the Israelis who then
Publicly said we don't support that peace deal that you're trying to that you're pretending to try and get Hamas to sign Yeah, so again, just like how does this look good for Democrats getting fucking outmaneuvered by a guy that everybody hates already?
Anyway, you know what I mean?
So again flat flabbergasting stuff But if you read the reporting, well, not if you read the reporting, but if you look at the headlines on Facebook, like here, ABC News, for example, a date has finally been set for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress.
House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced Thursday that Netanyahu will address a joint meeting of Congress on July 24th.
Set your calendars, folks.
So again, here, it doesn't even say that Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries also invited Benjamin Netanyahu to Congress.
It delays this kind of it only mentions Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnell here.
I really think they're trying to obfuscate the fact that congressional Democrats also invited Netanyahu.
Because here again, you have the Washington Post here.
Israel's Netanyahu to address joint meeting of Congress in July.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address a joint meeting of Congress on July 24th.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, Republican, announced last Thursday with the Israeli leader facing mounting U.S. frustration and his own war cabinet at risk of collapse.
It is crazy.
Yes, Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel are facing mounting U.S.
liberal frustration.
And that and still Democratic leaders have now decided it's the time to extend an invite to him.
Listen, people, people are really upset about it.
I just got to say, I got to say, I think it's a good thing they invited him.
It's because from like a logistics point of view, it's going to be a lot easier to like, you know, So this article, I saved this Washington Post post that is about Israel's Netanyahu to address joint meeting of Congress in July.
So you and Hakeem Jeffries, you're working on something, huh?
That's exactly what it is.
Bring him to us.
He might fly here on a Boeing plane.
Who knows?
Lots of things can happen.
So this article, I saved this Washington Post post that is about Israel's Netanyahu to address joint meeting of Congress in July.
That's the headline.
I saved this in my Facebook saved folder.
or But when you go to the actual link, it's a totally different story now.
It's this story.
Israeli official poised to resign as post-war plans fail to materialize.
And this is about Benny Gantz, a member of Israel's war cabinet, who said he would resign if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not come up with a post-war plan by Saturday.
So you go to this you go to click through this link about Netanyahu being invited to Congress and you can't even find the details about it.
You can't even see that it was that he was joined by Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer and in the comments.
Where is it here?
There's only two comments.
And you're like, what the hell?
No, no, sorry.
When you go to actually look for the article about Netanyahu visiting Congress, that article only has two comments on it.
And the comment, the top comment is, why did the editor remove all comments and hide this story?
Beware.
So what I am assuming happened is they deleted the story.
They changed the actual story from the original post to something totally different and then created a new article about Netanyahu's visit that they didn't then publicize or share to social media.
But a thousand people already commented on the old article.
So even though if you even though when you open that link, you're seeing a totally different story about an Israeli official poised to resign.
The comments are still from the old story about the Netanyahu visit and the comments even on the Washington Post are almost overwhelmingly negative about Netanyahu.
The top 1.7 thousand comments.
I'm organizing it by most liked.
Top comment.
Kirk Knight.
War criminal to propagandize to Congress.
That's your headline.
Next comment.
Anonymous NYC.
Netanyahu addressing U.S.
Congress is an ignominious day for America.
It would be better for both Israelis and Palestinians for him to be arrested and sent to the ICC in The Hague.
This is what the whole comment section is.
People with all kinds of names from all kinds of cities saying arrest this motherfucker.
Now they're not specifically talking about Democrats or being disappointed in Democrats decisions or stuff.
They're not like accessing that sort of divide.
But they're all clearly anti Netanyahu and anti like this war in Gaza or this genocide in Gaza to an obvious extent.
That it's not just criticism of A single politician they don't like.
But I did want to get into some of these responses here.
I just think it's interesting that Washington Post, it seems like deliberately did this to hide the blowback against A, the Netanyahu visit, and then also this being tied to the liberals, this being tied to progressive or liberals.
Um, some responses here.
Just wow.
Uh, Kathy Bridget on ABC News says better things to do than watch yet another boring, pointless, time-wasting episode of quote, congressional Republican theater, yawning emoji, sleeping emoji.
And then here's her list of better things to do.
Oh my gosh.
Alphabetize your spice rack.
Rotate your tires.
Rotate your neighbor's tires.
Learn to speak Portuguese.
Fold origami cranes.
Is it somebody?
We could probably, like, get this to be an animation, Tony.
Like, if I read this, it's so funny.
If I read this, we could probably, like, get somebody to animate it and it'll go viral.
One of those viral NBC clips.
Fold origami cranes.
Wash the dog.
Remove labels from all the cans in the pantry.
Sing an entire Gilbert and Sullivan operetta.
But you gotta make it about Trump.
You gotta change the lyrics so that it's about how cool John McCain is.
it was we've we've oh, you got to change the lyrics so that it's about how cool John McCain is.
Yeah, there's nothing like you're nothing like McCain.
There was...
I'm not sure if that one's Gilbert and Sullivan, but I did see a musical cover of There's Nothing Like a Dame, but the lyrics were, you are nothing like McCain.
So real.
We covered that one on the show.
Yep.
Love that.
Yeah, so just like somebody thinking they're owning Republicans and being smart and just seemingly oblivious to the fact that your political leaders are equally, if not more so, responsible for emboldening Netanyahu, right?
Go to her cover.
This is her profile pic.
Her profile pic is a cartoon of a lost pet sign on a telephone pole, but it says lost, and then it's got the Republican elephant, and then it says Republican integrity.
Where'd he go?
I'm squeezing the mic so hard right now.
Well, the cover photo is even worse, in my opinion, because it shows a bunch of people in, like, button-up shirt.
Like, you can just see from the wrist, they're all clinking champagne together.
And it says, to the rule of law.
To human misery.
Fucking kill me.
But I was like, I was like, is this ironic?
Are we?
Because it looks like a bunch of rich people.
You know, it's a bunch of people like long sleeve shirts and cufflinks and nice, nice nails and stuff like that.
Cheersing with champagne to the rule of law.
I was like, oh, wow, this is a statement about how the upper class uses the rule of law to enshrine their place in the class system.
And no, it's about Pete.
It's about people from all walks of life coming together to admit that Drumpf is arrested.
Yeah, so that's what that's what this is yeah.
If that happened, you had a party and someone shears to the rule of law, like I don't know do a terrorism right there in the building.
Yeah yeah start head start head walking like it's a like it's an every time I die super group yeah.
Yeah, Kathy Bridget also posted this.
The chart below captures the pattern.
It is based on a poll last year by YouGov and Blueprint that asked voters in separate questions whether they supported various policies and whether they were aware that Biden had enacted them.
Support versus awareness of Biden's policies.
And it's just like, it's just a graph that shows when people are aware or like the policies that people support.
They're not aware that Biden's actually doing them.
And so like you have reducing the federal deficit, 89% of people support it, but only 46% are aware that he did it.
Or capping Medicare drug costs, or restricting China's use of AI chips.
Wow, only 40 people know that he's put these great tariffs on China.
Oh, deploying more border agents, thank God.
Yeah, so it's just funny that like, Okay, you think he's done these good things that more people don't know about?
Maybe he should stop helping a massive genocide happen in Israel.
That might, you know, in Gaza, in Palestine, that might help free up some airspace for his deficit reduction.
You know what I mean?
Like, I don't know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No.
Yeah.
Maybe if when I open social media, if I wasn't seeing like little kids ripped in half by US made munitions, I could care about him easing sanctions on Venezuela.
Yeah, I don't know.
Jordan Costa, this is from the ABC News comment section.
Jordan Costa says, he should be arrested, but conservative Republicans are helping him like they are helping the other felon, with 54 more felonies to go.
Again, yeah, it's just, it's your party, man.
Like, I agree with you.
We shouldn't be helping this guy.
Your party is doing it.
Get it together.
Ray Franklin says, the GOP loves war criminals.
And Scott says, well, Joe Biden funded this war.
Ray says, if you want to be honest, Congress is funding the slaughter.
Did you know that Congress actually controls the purse strings?
We're all trying to figure out who's funding this genocide, OK?
It's not so cut and dry.
As you may pray not know, Congress controls the purse strings!
He fucking said it!
He said it.
Now that that is out of the way, the GOP controls the House and who can speak within the chamber.
That includes the President.
Class is o- Class is over, son.
Go play.
No, the GOP doesn't, I mean, it's like, sure, yeah, the GOP can invite who they want or whatever.
Democrats co-signed it, man.
You gotta own it.
They co-signed it and a lot of them probably fucking voted to send billions of dollars to Israel.
Steve Kennard says, Republicans supporting criminals again and trying to platform them must be a day that ends in Y.
Yeah, we the Democrats were the real patriots.
We're actually the ones who hate criminals guys the GOP They they love being lax on crime, which is why you should vote for Democrats.
This is going to work Okay, so yeah to be fair again to liberals like I'm proud of where liberal where liberals seem to be on this issue now And again, this is all like anecdotal stuff and I'm just like looking at the the NPR comment section on Facebook But that's like typically a pretty liberal space All the top comments.
Christina, I'm ashamed to be living in a period of history where we elected officials to oversee such atrocities.
Anthony says, redirect his plane to the Hague instead of the U.S.
Yamna says war criminals addressing Congress seems fitting since apparently he runs the country.
These are literally the top three comments.
Ryan says he should be arrested the second he lands, not invited to address Congress.
And Barry Kaplan, whose avatar is a gay pride flag, says, thanks for representing the anti-Semitic point of view.
Jesus fucking Christ.
So not only can you not be anti-Zionist, because that's anti-Semitism to Israel fans, you can't even be anti-Bibi Netanyahu, the one guy that American Zionists are trying to blame this on us.
Yeah, he's the approved national bad apple.
You can't even hate him.
That's anti-semitic.
Well, he's still Jewish though.
That's true.
You can't do that if it really, really helps my point of view.
Laura Dobbs says, the United States of Israel.
Absolutely shocking.
What a disgrace.
Chris says Washington, D.C.
is going to be insane on July 24th.
Jess says they are all beholden to him because AIPAC pays most of them.
Ding, ding, ding.
OK, so this is what's crazy is like the Democrats refusing to engage on this issue with their liberal base about our blank check to Israel, our unlimited support for Israel, Is resulting in the natural conclusion that people have that is, oh, Israel's buying Congress.
Now, this is supposedly an anti-Semitic thing to say, or this is like the height of anti-Semitic tropes to say that, you know, there are Jews influencing the country with money.
Well, there are plenty of people influencing the Congress with money.
A lot of those people are fucking evangelicals.
A lot of those people are influencing Congress on behalf of Israel, and they aren't even Jewish.
Now, I can understand how you want to be able to have a nuanced conversation about this, because that's helpful for delineating people's actual political motives and what our political project is going to be.
But when there's a vacuum for that, just like when there's a vacuum for class politics that Democrats refuse to address, or a vacuum for anti-Zionist politics that Democrats refuse to exist, it allows Far worse elements avowed anti-Semites, Nazis, or just racists in general, to offer what a lot of people are going to see as the only alternative explanation to what is happening.
Yeah.
Because the Democrats are afraid, or don't want to, or are materially invested in not giving the actual definition, the actual explanation of events that are happening.
So more Democratic voters are just going to say what seems obvious, that Israel is buying Congress, and if we're not engaging with that conversation, it's not a very big leap to go Jews are influencing Congress.
And we have to be able to have this conversation to be able to explain to people What our politics actually are and how you can't just take the shortcut and say, Oh, we can't have, we can't have, uh, we can't have living, uh, sorry.
We can't have an increase to the, uh, you know, wages or whatever, because of black people.
Yeah, it's the same thing we're talking about.
It's the same exact problem is that refusing to engage on these issues allows all sorts of nonsense to fill up the absence space, to fill that vacuum.
100%.
Yeah.
Well, I'm glad we had this issue.
Glad we talked about this.
Thank you, Ani, for joining again.
