DEATH CHAT 500 - 11/26 - Is Dril Short for Drivel? (preview)
Audio from DEATH CHAT 500 live last saturday: -The origin of the way Tony says "pummel" -New deranged conservative cartoonist just dropped, and we go through his instagram -Questions about wine and music from listeners -And Washington Post commenters are so confused by the Dril interview that they turn into Dril Join us LIVE this saturday at 5pm PST via http://patreon.com/miniondeathcult where we will be possibly chatting about: an Amazon commercial with an actor that everyone says looks like Alex, and the commercial is about a dead mom?; Spotify Wrapped (more like Crapped), a kid's book called Mommy is a Democrat, the Wide Shoe store selling my data, etc.
All right, the last thing we're going to talk about, we're going to go out on, is did everybody see that Drill from Twitter did a Washington Post interview?
I did not see that.
Yeah, the interview itself is great.
It's extremely funny.
I don't want to read through it because everybody can just do that on their own.
But I'll read this one part just so people can get an idea of it.
Okay, so Drill is disappointed that he seemingly wouldn't be able to monetize negative posts under Musk's regime.
Because this is about how Elon said he's going to suppress negative posts.
Yeah.
The quote from Drill here is, it'd be nice to get a little something in the mail every once in a while for all the content that I put my blood on the line for, he said.
But you know, Elon is saying, I'm gonna demonetize you if you have a nasty attitude.
Sometimes I need to have a nasty attitude to keep myself safe in this world.
The show Westworld, that's what it's like out there.
I used to be able to post without being threatened, he said.
Now I'm basically under the barrel of a gun 24-7 because people are constantly saying, quote, this joke was better when you said it in 2014.
I hope Elon cuts down on that sort of thing because that's just barbaric what people are saying to me.
That's great.
I love that.
I love that, like, I imagine being someone reading this who like doesn't really Have a handle on what Twitter is.
Well, imagine reading this from somebody who doesn't know what Drill is, which is exactly what we're going to show in the comments.
What would you think the average Washington Post reader's response to Drill in this article is going to be?
Because it's pretty funny.
I hope it's kind of like the...
The Tower of the Crater attitude when it's like cyberbullying is not a thing, just like turn it off.
I hope that's the response, but I know it's not going to be that.
Comments are now closed.
We can't.
We can't comment.
So there are, like, more knowing comments since I listened, since I looked at this the other day.
Yeah.
Like, the top, the newest comment is, like, a positive about Drill.
Of course I want to view more comments.
Who are you asking here?
Trump is a traitor.
Says, I guess I'm not hip to the twit culture.
This is a bunch of BS.
Which itself reads like a drill tweet.
This is, this is a drill tweet.
You don't get it because he's making fun of you.
Yeah.
I mean, especially if the name is in earnest, you know, Trump is a traitor.
Like I, I, if that's like, I think that is, that's in earnest.
I don't think they're doing, made it count for a bit here.
Um, yeah, exactly.
You're, thank you for that.
Thank you for doing that for us.
Funster, this was good.
Funster, P-H-U-N-S-T-R, said, I'd be interested in looking into Drill's bank account to see how much he was paid to stay on side.
Yeah.
You know, more than what's in the bank account, I need to see who's paying him.
I need to see where the receipts are coming from.
You gotta follow the money.
That's the oldest lesson in the book.
Follow the money just so we can find out why Drill is being weird.
