Welcome to the Situation Update for Tuesday, February 28th, 2023.
I'm Mike Adams here.
Thank you for joining me in the Brighton Studios.
We've got a lot to cover here today.
I'll be doing an intro here in the studio and a few topics and then continuing to With a non-video podcast and we've got a great interview for you with someone from Gun Owners of America that's fighting the new pistol brace or stabilizing brace ban by the ATF. If you want to be able to defend yourself effectively,
especially a lot of women use AR-15 style pistols with an arm brace because they can't necessarily hold up the full length AR rifle, well the ATF wants to take that away from you.
And anyway, we're going to get an update on that.
Also, I want you to know that today I'm hosting the InfoWars, the Alex Jones show on InfoWars.com.
It's supposed to be the second hour and the third hour.
Of course, I'm recording this in advance of that, and schedules can always change.
But I should be hosting the second hour and the third hour.
The second hour begins at 12 noon central and you'll see that at infowars.com or band.video.
Now I'm going to have on two very special guests, possibly a third.
We're still working on that, but...
We're going to have Jeffrey Prather on for an analysis of fifth-generation warfare and what's happening against us, you know, the war on humanity.
And then we're also going to have on Eric Coppolino, who has a new Substack story out, which I'm going to go through in some detail here today.
Eric Coppolino from planetwaves.fm.
He has been studying the dioxin issue for several decades, and he's the one who first brought my attention to this issue.
And I've interviewed him a couple of times so far, and we're going to spend at least a full hour with him, maybe a little bit longer, talking about what's happening in East Ohio, why the dioxin testing is not yet being done, at least not publicly, and what we need to do about this in order to maintain our safety and not die from cancer.
How about that?
That sounds really important.
Before we get to that story, though, we have Wall Street Journal now admitting that myself and Alex Jones and many other people in the alternative media were, in fact, completely correct.
When we predicted that the U.S. power infrastructure, the electric grid, is being dismantled on purpose in order to destroy the U.S. economy, So we now have a Wall Street Journal opinion piece.
This is from the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal.
So this is their opinion.
It's called SOS for the U.S. Electric Grid.
And it says that PJM interconnection sounds the latest alarm that fossil fuel plants are shutting down without adequate replacement power.
The political class yawns.
And what this story talks about is that when you forecast the power supply and demand heading into the next decade or so, even 2030 and beyond, What you find out is, and by the way, PJM covers 13 eastern states with about 65 million people.
It concludes, quote, fossil fuel power plants are retiring much faster than renewable resources are getting developed, which would lead to energy, quote, imbalances.
Yeah, which means rolling blackouts, folks.
Rolling freaking blackouts.
So even the Wall Street Journal says that, quote, that's a delicate way of saying that you can expect shortages and blackouts.
So here's what they're doing.
Because of the green cultists, they're shutting down coal-fired power plants and natural gas power plants, anything that runs on fossil fuels, and then they're just not replacing it with anything.
Not enough wind, not enough solar, not enough hydroelectric power.
They're just not replacing it.
And pretty soon here, coming up soon, for those of you who live in the PJM area, which again is the eastern, kind of the northeastern states, 65 million people, 13 states, you're going to be living in a third world country.
Because you're not going to have electricity.
I mean, not reliable electricity.
You might have it for some time of the day.
But you'll just have planned blackouts.
Oh, you won't have power from 7 to 9 p.m.
Or maybe that's Mondays and Wednesdays.
And then Tuesdays, you don't have it from 3 to 6 p.m.
How are the grocery stores going to operate?
Every time their freezers go out, they throw out thousands of food products, like thousands of pounds of food, right?
And then people are fighting over the dumpster diving from the formerly frozen food, too, by the way.
So you're going to have that.
How are businesses going to run?
How's the town going to maintain water pressure without adequate electricity?
How are the cell towers going to function?
Yeah, there's a question, right?
You're going to be living in a third world country, basically.
How are emergency services going to respond when the towers don't work and the grid is down?
And alarm systems don't work for security and so on.
Folks, this is coming.
And it's coming especially for the green cultist areas of the country, which tends to be the east and then also, of course, well, the west coast.
Oregon, Washington, California, but the west coast, not the whole states, because there's a lot of good people in those states that are trying to actually keep the system running.
But the coastal regions are, of course, in deep, deep trouble.
All right, so that's a huge story here.
It means also you've got to have off-grid solutions for all of this.
Off-grid solutions are the only way to go.
You're going to need backup systems.
You're going to need backup power, you know, solar generators, solar panels, energy storage devices.
And just so you know, our sponsor in that space is a satellite phone store, SAT123.com.
Scroll down and you'll find their EcoFlow devices, which can help you maintain off-grid power when needed.
That's critical to understand.
But, you know, it's not just about off-grid power.
You've got to have off-grid food as well.
So springtime is here for the northern hemisphere or close to being here.
Depending on where you are, really make an effort to grow food this year.
And preserve that food and set it aside or acquire extra storable food or acquire seeds or do what you need to do to get your own food supply so that you're not entirely dependent on the system.
Because think about it, you know, when the power grid is less reliable, how are they going to transport food?
Because you go to a gas station or a diesel station, they have to have electricity to pump the fuel out into the truck, right?
Right.
So no power grid.
Gas stations are offline.
How are you going to get the fuel?
How are the refineries going to operate in these areas when there's no reliable electricity?
And by the way, how are the hospitals going to operate as well?
But get yourself some off-grid supplies for everything.
Everything that matters.
Oh, from our store, this is the last day we're going to show this.
Can you show our products?
We have these right here.
This is all freeze-dried, certified organic, lab-tested products here.
And also we've got peas there and some other things.
Peas, that's funny.
We need carrots next, right?
Right?
Like, may and jane, way was like peas and carrots.
Peas and carrots.
Right?
So anyway, you got your peas right there and maybe carrots coming up.
But we have some other foods as well.
HealthRangerStore.com will get you number 10 cans, freeze-dried foods that are certified organic and lab tested.
And we have a lot of other things that are not shown here.
Peas and carrots.
Anyway, this stuff will keep you alive when the food system fails.
So anyway, yeah, enough of that.
Let's talk about East Palestine and dioxins now.
And this is the new article from Eric Coppolino.
And here's what he says.
What must happen in and around East Palestine?
Split sampling and analysis for dioxins and furans.
The dioxin issue is not going away.
It comes up at every community meeting.
U.S. Senators Vance and Brown have demanded testing.
That's a good thing.
And the EPA is dodging the issue.
Of course they are.
See, I think the EPA has already tested for dioxins.
And I think the dioxin levels are off the charts.
And I think that's why the EPA is not wanting to go public with any of this.
But this is a great article.
You can find it at his Substack page, which you can get to.
The shortcut is planetwaves.org.
And remember, I'll have him on the Alex Jones show later on today.
So he talks about how the locals are really frustrated.
They're not getting good information from anybody.
And he says, the word dioxin comes up at every town hall meeting.
U.S. Senators Brown and Vance from Ohio have written to the EPA calling for dioxin testing.
Which made the AP wire on Friday.
This, in turn, pushed it into the Cincinnati Inquirer.
Every chemical expert anywhere knows that dioxins are created when chlorinated compounds burn.
So that's the dioxin molecule right there, or at least a representation of it.
Four chlorines on the four corners, two oxygens in the middle, and then your carbon and hydrogen...
Carbon rings and hydrogen, as usual.
This is the most deadly chemical known to humankind.
And when you burn chlorinated compounds, you release dioxins.
And that is what has happened.
Massive cloud plume all over East Palestine.
Remember, this is deadly, or it can be deadly, because it causes cancers and genetic mutations and chromosomal genetic damage.
But it also causes hormonal disorders out the wazoo.
So it causes infertility, It causes reduced sperm production.
It causes metabolic disorders, neurological disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders in unborn children.
This is a nightmare chemical.
This is the worst chemical known to humankind that's ever been created by humanity.
And it's probably everywhere where there was fallout from that cloud.
It's probably all over the place.
And it's probably, I'm guessing, at levels, but we need testing in order to confirm this.
It's probably at levels that are over a thousand times higher than the typical background levels.
That's just my guess.
Now, in order to confirm that, I don't trust the EPA, and as you know, we are, in fact, getting laboratory equipment to test for dioxins.
That is still several months out.
It's not just acquiring the additional instrumentation, but it's also training time, which I'm going to go through myself.
So there will be a week when I cancel my podcasts and all the time in the studio here will be canceled because I'm going to be in the lab getting instruction on dioxin testing.
But we are going to do dioxin testing at some point and produce those results publicly.
And what Eric Capolino is demanding is split testing where they take a sample and they send it to two different labs.
Now, we can be one of those labs.
We are an ISO accredited laboratory, by the way, 17.025.
And, you know, we have a lot of experience with mass spec instruments.
We have six mass spec instruments in our lab right now, so we know what we're doing in this area.
But one lab isn't enough.
We need independent labs.
We need the EPA. We need, you know, maybe our lab and other labs doing this so that we can have multiple data points on the level of dioxins that are actually out there for two reasons.
If there are no dioxins on the farms and the fields and the grasses and so on, then we need to know that and the farmers need to know that so that they know that their food is safe and their cows aren't getting exposed to, let's say, a thousand times higher dioxin levels by grazing on the grass.
So again, if it's safe, wouldn't it be great to just confirm that?
If it's not safe, if it's crazy, insanely dangerous because of heightened dioxin levels, then of course we need to know that too.
Because we need to know, hey, maybe don't drink the milk from these cows this year.
Maybe there needs to be more rain to dilute it, you know, down to a more reasonable level.
Maybe only ten times higher than normal instead of a thousand times.
You get the idea.
But if you're eating the meat or the cheese, the dairy products or the chicken or the hogs, you know, the pork or chicken eggs even, Or even, I mean, think about the wheat exports, the corn, the soy exports out of Ohio are massive.
And these could be contaminated and we just won't know until the testing is being done.
And so far, the testing is not being done.
But why, you ask?
Why is the testing not being done?
Well, Eric Coppolino answers that.
He says the reason...
That EPA is resisting testing for dioxin is that once the first positive test result comes back, the next question is about evacuation.
Other communities have been permanently evacuated for dioxin contamination, including Times Beach, Missouri, and Love Canal in western New York.
You can look both of those up if you don't believe me.
Once there's a single positive result...
The discussion also goes to how far the dioxin has spread.
More people will want testing, you know, in an ever expanding radius outside of East Palestine.
This is likely to have devastating effects as one cannot sell a home or business in a dioxin contaminated area.
Yeah, well, he said it.
If you have dioxins all over your yard and house...
And if people are aware of that, the value of your property has gone very close to zero, it turns out, unfortunately.
But on the other hand, if you don't have dioxins, wouldn't it be great to be able to have those tests and to say, hey, we're dioxin-free, you know, so that you can maintain the value of your real estate or your farm or your house or your business if you have one in that area.
So again, we need the testing in order to know.
So Eric continues, he writes, from the government's point of view, admitting to the presence of dioxin must be avoided at all costs.
The way to avoid that is to not test.
Exactly, exactly.
Therefore, Governor Mike DeWine and EPA Chief Michael Regan do things like they visit residents in their homes and they toast drinking tap water.
This is a typical PR maneuver to show that it's safe without actually producing data.
I mean, is Governor DeWine's mouth a laboratory instrument?
Is he a living dioxin detector?
No.
No.
I mean, now, he might be full of dioxins at this point if he runs around drinking all this water without testing it first, but he himself is not a dioxin testing piece of equipment.
He may be a piece of work on this, but not a piece of equipment.
So Eric Coppolino says, I want to offer two things in this article.
What I think must happen for there to be an honest assessment of the dioxin levels and how the game with state and federal authorities may play out.
So I'm not going to read the whole thing for you.
You can check it out.
But essentially, we have to start testing at the point of origin, which is, you know, boom, where they set fire to this, and then start testing outward, outward, outward, especially the way the wind was blowing, you know, a lot of maps of that show where the fallout likely happened, and you keep testing.
Until, like, if you start to find dioxins, you keep testing.
You go another mile and test, another mile, or five miles, ten miles.
You keep testing until you get essentially to zero.
Because you have to know how big is that whole fallout area.
How many farms are affected?
How many fields?
How many acres?
How many rivers and streams?
And people's homes and children's playgrounds and sidewalks and streets and all of that.
You've got to know all that.
Until you know that, You're just living in a chemical minefield, basically, a toxic stew.
So you've got to have wiped samples from rooftops, Eric writes.
You've got to do split testing.
And you can't just test for the wrong chemicals, which is what these people are doing.
They're just testing for the wrong chemicals.
And they're saying, oh, we didn't find anything.
It's all good.
Yeah, because you're not testing for dioxins.
Again, all on purpose.
And by the way, I've said this in another podcast recently.
Even if they have instruments, I know the EPA has instruments that can test for dioxins.
The EPA buys a lot of mass spec lab testing equipment.
Trust me, I know.
They can change the limit of detection so that they don't have the sensitivity that's required to test for this chemical.
Now, when properly tuned, There are multiple methods, but for example, take a gas chromatography combined with a tandem mass spec, like a triple quad mass spec.
You can detect, I believe, two femtograms.
Load-on column with a one microliter injection onto a chromatography column.
Now, two femtograms of actual mass of dioxins.
That can be detected with quite a pronounced peak on the chromatograph with a defined area with a really high signal-to-noise ratio, I think 10 to 1 or better.
So you can actually quant on that.
You can get quantitative numbers.
Again, two femtograms, folks.
Femtograms, I think that's 10 to the minus 15th.
So it goes milligrams, micrograms, nanograms, picograms, and then femtograms.
That's how small this is.
So in a properly tuned instrument environment, you can detect two femtograms.
The EPA, though...
Extreme population assassins because they are totally corrupt criminal cover-up operation, in my opinion.
They actually want to see people contaminated and killed as long as they're covering up for toxic industries like the pesticide industry, by the way.
Not to mention the toxic chemicals, the industries that carry these chemicals.
They can...
They can tune their instruments in a way that reduces sensitivity by orders of magnitude.
So they could literally be 100 times less sensitive if they wanted to, to where anything below, let's say, 200 femtograms, they would say not detected.
So this is the scam that the EPA is likely going to run.
They'll tune their instruments to be not detected, and then they'll put out all these reports, see, we tested and it was not detected.
Not detected doesn't mean it isn't there.
It means that these people are crooks, criminals, who are intentionally detuning their instruments to be less sensitive.
They do it on purpose, and there are a multitude of ways they could do that.
They can also dilute samples down.
You know, they can take a water sample out of a stream, and then they can dilute it 1,000 to 1 so that the actual analyte, i.e.
the dioxin, the 2378 TCDD, Exists at levels even below a femtogram, for example, and then they can run that in the instrument and they can say, oh, not detected!
What do you know?
Not detected.
You've got to realize that the actual injection volume, by the way, in these instruments is typically one microliter.
One millionth of a liter is what gets injected into the actual instrument flow path.
Okay?
So one millionth of a liter.
I mean...
If they dilute it, there's hardly anything left to see.
So it'll just show up as not detected.
I know they're going to say, oh, trust the science, trust the EPA, except they're not legitimate, honest scientists.
They are intentionally rigging their systems to try to cover up the mass chemical poisoning of the American people.
And that's why, frankly, nobody trusts the EPA who's aware of this.
Nobody on the left, nobody on the right.
This is a nonpartisan rejection of the extreme population assassins, the EPA. Bunch of quack science crooks, if you ask me.
They don't give a crap about protecting the environment.
They will cover up massive crimes against the environment.
That's what they're doing right now, I believe.
So Eric Coppolino is correct.
We've got to have other labs doing the testing.
And perhaps potentially my lab at some point when we get that up and running in a few months.
And then the EPA may be forced into a position where they have to start admitting some things that they've tried to cover up this entire time.
Because other labs are coming out with it and saying, hey, EPA, guess what?
There's crazy concentrations going on here.
On dioxins, if you get to parts per billion concentrations in water or soil or food, that's red alert disaster time right there.
You shouldn't even be close to parts per billion.
I mean, if you start seeing...
Like nanograms of this stuff, in like nanograms per gram, you're in trouble already.
Even picograms per gram is starting to get into kind of a warning zone.
The only safe levels of this, well, frankly, you know, according to scientists, there are no safe levels whatsoever.
It's just a question of how much load you're getting each day.
Are you getting 500 femtograms, which is half a picogram?
Are you getting 500 picograms?
Depends on what kind of foods you eat and where they came from and how much dioxins are in them.
But if you have foods now coming out of this area that are loaded up with, let's say, nanograms per gram, You know, billionths of a gram per gram in those foods, then in the food supply it's going to be so unbelievably toxic that you're going to start having,
you know, birth defects and children being born with all distorted jacked up faces and with missing arms and legs and organs forming on the outside of their bodies, being born as like horrific bleeding blobs instead of fully formed humans.
I mean, that's the kind of thing that's going to happen.
And you're going to start to see more symptoms coming out.
You're going to see chloracne, people's faces all breaking out and some kind of weird postules that get infected and everything.
This is what can happen in the presence of dioxins.
So the EPA not releasing test results on this is a crime against America.
It's a crime against the environment.
They have the funding.
They have the equipment.
They know how to run the test.
And they are deliberately not doing it.
They're deliberately not doing it on purpose.
And I've got to give credit to Eric Coppolino here.
He has really championed this issue.
He deserves tremendous credit.
He told me that he was sitting on a bunch of boxes of documentation that he's been sitting on for 30 to 40 years because this issue hasn't come up for quite a long time since the Love Canal incident or the Times Beach incident.
So he's been sitting on all this documentation, and that's why I'm inviting him on.
He deserves a lot of credit.
Check out his website, planetwaves.org.
Or planetwaves.fm for his show.
And again, don't miss the Alex Jones show today.
Infowars.com, second hour and third hour.
I'm going to have...
Second hour, I'm having Jeffrey Prather on.
Third hour, I'm going to have Eric Coppolino on for the whole hour.
And that's at infowars.com and also band.video.
And as a side note, by the way, this will be the first time I'm hosting Infowars from this studio.
So Alex is traveling.
I don't know if he's on vacation or what.
He's going to be calling in the first hour, and then he's going to turn it over to me, and I'll do two hours on the show on behalf of Infowars to talk about this issue.
So there you go.
That's the summary of where we are.
I don't know.
There's a couple other headlines here, but I'm not going to get into them right now.
Those are the big issues.
Again, Wall Street Journal admitting that the dismantling of the power infrastructure in America is happening.
It's not a conspiracy theory.
This is a dismantling of America.
This is a takedown of the energy grid.
And the takedown of the food supply is happening with the EPA criminal cover-up.
Of the fact that our foods are very likely suffering from massive dioxin fallout in Connecticut, I'm sorry, not Connecticut, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and those northeastern states.
Well, I guess some of it may make it to Connecticut, might make it to New York, who knows?
Might make it all the way up to Canada.
But the point is, food supply under attack, power system under attack.
These are acts of war against America.
These are acts of war, folks.
Make no mistake, we're living in a time of war.
And so all that's coming up.
Now, finally, again, if you want to support us, check out healthrangerstore.com.
Show us our number 10 cans here again.
Last time, I'm going to move these off the desk after this.
But these are just an example of some of the products we have.
If you want pre-Palestine food, okay?
This is food that was harvested mostly in America before the fallout from East Palestine.
This is pre-Palestine food.
Now, post-Palestine food is what's going to be harvested from here forward.
That's going to be a dividing line.
And people will want pre-Palestine food once they know the truth about the dioxins that are very likely contaminating the whole system.
So check these out, healthrangerstore.com.
We appreciate your support.
And thank you for watching today.
Okay, that's enough on the products.
Yeah, thank you.
Thanks for watching today, and we appreciate your support.
More coming up here outside the studio, some special reports, and the interview with Gun Owners of America.
Straight ahead.
Thanks for joining me today.
All right, continuing now the situation update out of the studio.
The Associated Press is reporting that many of the waste shipments from the Ohio toxic train derailment are now being diverted away from Texas.
Guess where they're going?
Oh, Indiana!
So any of you listening in Indiana, yeah, you're getting the toxins now for some reason.
The AP is reporting that The Environmental Protection Agency announced two new hazardous waste sites that will receive some of the toxic water.
One of them is a landfill in Rochdale, Indiana.
Not sure where that is.
But the other one is an incinerator in Grafton, Ohio.
So an incinerator, by the way, is the correct answer here.
The incinerator...
If it functions at a high enough temperature, will destroy the dioxin chemicals.
It'll just destroy it.
And that's actually what needs to be done to all the water, all the soil, even a lot of topsoil on the farms and so on.
It needs to be probably scraped off and incinerated and then replaced.
I mean, it's a big operation, multi-billion dollar cleanup operation that would be required if they were testing for dioxins, which of course they're not.
But in any case, the EPA has decided to redirect to Indiana, and they're just trying to find, like, where to put all these toxins, you know?
That AP story says that 1.8 million gallons of liquid waste have been collected from the derailment site.
1.8 million gallons.
Okay.
Some of it's going to Vickery, Ohio for disposal in an underground injection well.
That's what they were trying to do in Texas.
And then the solid waste is going to the incinerator in East Liverpool, Ohio.
So, yep.
More injections.
I guess they just want to drill holes all under half the United States and just inject toxic chemicals down in there and see what happens.
That seems to be the effort.
Now, symptoms are starting to emerge more and more.
Breitbart is even reporting this.
Chemical bronchitis?
East Palestine residents experiencing painful breathing rashes and weakness.
Yeah, that's what happens when you get, you know, covered with toxic chemicals and probably even dioxins.
Says one healthcare worker called this chemical bronchitis.
Yeah, I mean, there is no such thing as chemical bronchitis, technically.
They're just trying to describe it.
QuickMed urgent care workers told the outlet WKBN that they are seeing patients report similar symptoms, such as feeling a burning sensation when they breathe, rashes, and general feelings of weakness.
And then some East Palestinian residents have said they begin to feel better when they leave town for a while, but then they feel worse when they come back.
See, quote, this could be a lot of things, but if you're leaving your house and symptoms improve and you go back and it comes back, I'm not thinking that's allergies or not thinking it's a cold.
Deb Weiss told WKBN, I think it's related to that stuff you're inhaling there.
Mm-hmm.
Of course it is.
And she says, let's face it, if it comes down to it, it might be something in the future that comes about from all these chemicals they're breathing in that we don't know about.
So it's important that they document all of their symptoms.
Yeah, exactly.
Because more and more symptoms are going to come out here.
Yeah, it's probably not long before we start to see the symptoms that I've been talking about.
Dioxin poisoning.
It's coming.
Sadly, it's coming.
Including probably cases of chloracne.
But we'll see.
Stay tuned.
Alright, you know how yesterday we talked about South Africa collapsing?
Well, it's getting even worse.
There's a Twitter user called Zombieland that has posted quite a thread.
I just want to read a few highlights for you.
We're talking about the total collapse of woke society.
Remember, the woke government of South Africa is a racist, anti-white government.
And they've destroyed society there.
Just utterly destroyed it, causing widespread suffering and chaos.
But from that thread, South Africa's collapsed.
U.S. Embassy is now informing international travelers to stock up on food and water.
You know, everybody be a prepper.
City power has an average turnaround time of two to three days for grid repairs.
They don't have manpower or supplies or funding.
Some other points here.
An increase in coordinated attacks on water, power, and comms infrastructure.
Yep.
I mean, think about this as a roadmap for what's coming to America, folks.
Looting is no longer just a daily thing, but is also now becoming more structured with guerrilla planning involved, they said, like guerrilla warfare.
Guerrilla planning involved.
Next point.
Our roads no longer exist.
Anything that is state-run is crumbling.
Sounds like, you know, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles.
Police, fire, and hospital resources for the state don't exist and are also slowly disintegrating.
And the only power producer in South Africa, known as ESCOM, is averaging 50% or less power output.
50% power.
Plunging massive parts of the country into rolling blackouts.
Hey folks, that's coming to much of the East Coast, especially the Northeast of the United States, because they're not building anything to replace the coal plants that they're shutting down.
You're going to be living in a Mad Max scenario if you live in those states, or maybe you'll have to have your own off-grid power solution.
Run generators all day.
There's a way to pay a fortune for electricity.
Okay, let's see.
Grant recipients outnumbered taxpayers 10 to 1.
Something like 10 to 1.
So, just money's being handed out to people.
Because, you know, universal basic income, right?
The roads are shot.
The infrastructure is collapsing.
Anything that isn't bolted down is stolen.
And what is bolted down is grinded off.
This guy's writing, the cost of living is insane!
Fuel is expensive.
Medical aid is a luxury.
Food costs are going through the roof.
I myself can literally barely pay for new pants, he says, he writes.
The South African government now wants to put through EWC and NHI, what is that?
Expropriation without compensation?
Oh, where land is taken from rightful and legal landowners and given to the, quote, previously disadvantaged.
So basically they just want to steal all the land from white people and give it to people of color.
I mean, of course, because this is woke tyranny is what this is.
Our Navy, Army, and Air Force are done.
Troops are buying their own boots.
Army bases are looted for copper.
Vehicles and machinery are cannibalized for parts.
Our murder rate is higher than the death rate in Ukraine's current conflict.
Higher than an active war zone.
Hundreds of rapes a day.
Thousands of kidnappings every month.
90 hijackings a day.
Farmers being murdered like flies in the most brutal ways imaginable.
Second Amendment, everybody.
The only form of public transportation that's operational is the taxi industry.
But they have mafia tactics.
They burn and kill anyone who gets in their way.
I mean, yep.
Our rail is dead.
Almost the entirety of South Africa's rail system is non-operational.
Highest unemployment rate in the world at around 35%.
Actually, yesterday we saw it was 42%.
Think about that.
Sewage everywhere, in the streets, in the rivers and oceans, flowing through our freshwater dams, too.
Just everywhere.
And then another tweet, the South African government has stated that they're not constitutionally bound to provide electrical power to citizens living within the republic.
It says, oh, no power?
Too bad.
Yeah, it's not our responsibility, you know?
Woke!
Right?
Woke tyranny.
That's what it looks like in South Africa, and it's a model of what's coming to every Democrat-run city in America.
Some are getting there quite rapidly, you know, like Oakland and San Francisco, and I don't know, what are some other good examples?
Parts of St.
Louis, I think?
Definitely Chicago.
Portland, Seattle, you know, the usual suspects.
All right, so let me tell you what we have coming up here for the rest of the Situation Update.
Let's see.
We've got a report, a special report on farms testing for dioxins and, I mean, why they should test.
And if you're a farmer or if you're a customer of a farm, here's what you need to know about dioxin testing.
That's coming up next.
And then after that, I have a special report about asymmetrical terrorism or asymmetrical warfare using chemicals.
And I call it molecular terrorism.
And we'll talk about that and why they can do so much damage to a nation or the world with such a small cost of raw materials.
You know, the vinyl chloride was cheap, but the damage is going to run into tens of billions, probably.
And then, let's see, we're going to have a full interview with A spokesperson from Gun Owners of America about the stabilizing braces and how the ATF is out of control and trying to shut down all FFLs, if they can, across America, making it impossible for you to be able to purchase firearms.
So, all that coming up.
That's straight ahead.
Here we go.
Just had a conversation with Eric Coppolino, and he's been getting calls from some farmers.
In Pennsylvania, and the farmers have customers who are asking them whether their food is safe to consume, you know, because of the fallout and the dioxin question.
And, you know, the farmers have this question and then the customers of farms have this question.
So I wanted to just cover this here as best I can with just full transparency.
If you're a farm owner or if you're a buyer from a farm, If you're buying milk and cheese and what have you from farms that may be in the fallout zone of this thing, here's the honest truth.
Here's what you can do.
Number one, especially if you're a farmer, see if you can find a lab that will conduct dioxin testing.
They do exist.
I don't know which ones will do it for you.
You know, a lot of labs only focus on commercial customers or government customers, but I know there's a lab called Eurofins, E-U-R-O-F-I-N-S, Eurofins.
They do all kinds of testing.
They might be able to do it for you.
I'm not sure, but it's worth checking.
And you want to do a dioxin test for a 2378 TCDD. That's the primary...
The number one dioxin, the most toxic dioxin, is kind of the marker for dioxins.
And there are also dioxin-related compounds, which are called furans.
But it's a class of 73 chemicals, I think.
That would cost a fortune, probably, to conduct that testing.
But at least you could test for the 2378 TCDD as one isolated test.
Now you'd need to send in a relatively small sample, maybe a gram of something like a piece of hamburger, a little bit of milk, maybe a vial, maybe 10 milliliters of milk.
That'd be plenty.
Or you might need to send in a little small piece of cheese or what have you, whatever you're testing.
The thing is, every dioxin test that tests those products that I just mentioned should find something.
Because there's already a level of dioxins in all these foods that is well known.
So if the test comes back as not detected, that's actually bad.
It means the lab may have an issue of not being able to detect these dioxins at all.
Maybe they don't have the sensitivity.
Because they should see something.
There's something there even before East Palestine.
The question is...
Are they seeing something there after the disaster that is much, much higher?
That's the question.
And by much, much higher, I mean 200% higher or more.
Because it could be 10 times higher.
It could be 100 times.
It could be 1,000 times higher.
We just don't know.
And it depends on how far they were from the fallout zone or the way the winds were blowing or how much rain there has been since then and so on.
So if you're a farmer in this area, I strongly encourage you to go find a lab test, a dioxin test.
Get some things tested right now so that you can communicate with your customers that you're conducting the testing.
And hopefully your lab tests show that you don't have any higher level of dioxins than what's already there.
In terms of finding what's already there, well, there are a lot of online resources, EPA and other places that have documented the, quote, normal level of dioxins.
It's not really normal.
But maybe you should call it a typical level.
Because there's some load of dioxins in all the meat and cheese and milk and dairy and eggs and chicken and pork.
All that stuff, all the animal products in the bacon, the ham, all of it.
It's all got some level of dioxins in it, okay?
Because, well, there are dioxins all over the world.
Falling out of the sky and created from house fires and things like that.
So you're not going to find anything that's 100% dioxin free.
The question is how much?
Now, if you're a customer of these farms, you can encourage your farmer to get those tests or perhaps you can buy some products from them and you can have those tested yourself.
I know it's an additional cost.
It's probably a pretty big cost.
I would guess the dioxin testing might be $300 to $400 per sample.
That's just a guess.
I don't know for sure, but the equipment's half a million dollars, okay?
So this is not a $5 test.
And you have to have people who know how to run it, too.
You know, you have to have a whole laboratory facility, you know, with the proper venting, you know, the vent hoods, and you have to have proper sample prep, and you have to have accreditation and all that.
And nobody's going to do this on the cheap.
This is going to cost some hundreds of dollars per sample.
No question about it.
But you can go out and get the testing if you wish, and you can see what the results are.
And I think that's not a bad idea if it's a source that you're getting food from all the time, especially if it's a meat or animal-based product, because that's where dioxins tend to concentrate, is in the fats of animals.
Now, our lab will be coming online at some point here within a few months.
I don't know exactly when.
I'm hoping three to four months we can start doing the testing.
And if that's the case, then we're going to offer...
We're going to do some testing at no cost to the farmers for farmers that we select around that area.
So we're going to reach out to Amish farmers and small family farms and so on.
We can't, unfortunately, offer just across-the-board free testing to everybody who sends us a sample.
We don't have the bandwidth for that.
The EPA is supposed to be doing that.
But, of course, they're refusing to do it.
But we'll do some sample testing Of the farms and products that we can get our hands on through our contacts and some people we know that live in Ohio, such as, well, I'm not going to say.
But the bottom line is, if there's a massive cover-up taking place, we'll be able to expose it because our test results, you know, aren't controlled by the EPA. So if we flag something, we're like, whoa, this is crazy, a thousand times higher, then Maybe that would light a fire under the EPA or some senators or maybe even the governor to demand some EPA testing.
And at some point, the EPA is going to be so pressured to do testing, they won't be able to say no at some point.
So we've got to keep the pressure on.
And also in the meantime, by the way, you can detox from dioxins with all the things that I mentioned before.
It's all out there in the scientific literature.
It's green tea and it's seaweed and it's vegetables and it's chlorophyll and chlorella and you can sprout your own seeds and you can detox from dioxins.
So if you suspect you might be getting a little bit more exposure or maybe even a lot more exposure, there are some things that you can proactively do to limit your exposure and I think that's really smart.
So I'll bring you more information about this, of course, as we learn more and we get more lab results eventually.
And as we interview more experts, we'll get you more solutions and information.
Thank you for listening.
Mike Adams here, The Health Ranger, naturalnews.com, and also brighteon.com.
We're going to talk about asymmetrical pollution and asymmetrical warfare on humanity.
As you know, it is my analysis that this train wreck, the aftermath of it, the igniting of the vinyl chloride in East Ohio, was a deliberate act.
I mean, we know it was deliberate.
They said they set it on fire on purpose.
In fact, I think the CEO of the railroad said that it was a success when he saw the giant smoke A plume rising into the skies.
Yeah, that's a success.
We did it, you know?
This is 100% deliberate, not a conspiracy theory.
That's just an admission.
But asymmetrical warfare describes a scenario in which the cost of the weapon is very cheap, and yet the cost of the damage it does to society is very, very large.
So here we have some number of train cars or tanker cars full of vinyl chloride.
What's the market value of that vinyl chloride?
I mean, I don't know exactly, but we could take a guess.
It's probably not that much.
Let's call it $100,000.
You know, just as a raw chemical is not very valuable.
This stuff is dirt cheap.
Now, when they make it into something, then it adds value, but just sitting there as raw material, not very valuable at all.
So again, let's call it $100,000.
You set it on fire, and then you end up producing dioxins, which go up into the sky and then fall on all kinds of farms and fields and homes and businesses and communities.
Well, then now you're producing an asymmetrical damage curve that is so much larger than the cost of the materials.
So you could take $100,000 worth of material, you know, give or take, these are estimates, and you could cause, let's say, $100 billion worth of damage.
Now, you might argue, how could it be that high?
Well, You don't know yet which of these farms and cities are going to be condemned and shut down and end up with a market value of zero.
We don't even know the answer to that yet.
So could it be $100 billion or even maybe $10 billion?
We just don't know the answers yet.
But it's definitely much larger than the cost of the raw materials.
I mean, it's got to be orders of magnitude larger than the cost of the raw materials.
So creating pollution is easy and inexpensive.
Cleaning up pollution is incredibly costly, if not impossible.
And what about the healthcare costs of this, too?
See, we're thinking initially of just, you know, the value of the farms, the value of the homes and the businesses.
What about the healthcare costs?
What about Tens of thousands or even millions of people having accelerated cancer because of the dioxin fallout.
What's the cost associated with that?
That's where you start to get into tens of billions of dollars.
And then what's the value of all the crops downstream that are being irrigated with these toxic dioxins?
What are the potential economic losses to those farmers downstream?
Or the losses to the fishing operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
Because now we're talking about massive, massive damage that could be orders of magnitude way beyond anything we might initially imagine.
So you know who relies on asymmetrical warfare the most?
Terrorists.
Because terrorists typically have relatively low funding, but they want to have a very large impact on An economic impact, a kinetic impact, you know, a political impact or tearing down infrastructure, what have you.
So, you know, setting fires is also asymmetrical warfare.
Arson.
You can burn down, I mean, I'm not advocating this, obviously.
I'm just saying terrorists can burn down very expensive facilities.
They can burn down a $10 million facility with $10 in gasoline and a box of matches, right?
I mean, that's arson.
Terrorists use these techniques because they seek the outlandish or outsized response that is magnified from their economic and effort inputs.
That's what asymmetrical warfare is really talking about.
Well, these kinds of chemical incidents in which at every stage they sought to spread the pollution, which we'll talk about here in a second, This is classic asymmetrical warfare.
And who are the terrorists in this case?
The government and the corporations working together to spread the pollution.
Now, let's talk about that.
Every decision they made was a decision to spread the pollution.
So first of all, instead of containing it in the cars, the tanker cars on the railroad and just putting out whatever small fire initially was there, They decided to empty the chemical out of the tanker cars.
Okay, so they put it in a ditch.
Well, then instead of just containing it in the ditch, they set fire to it, spreading it over who knows how many thousands of square miles or even more.
I mean, we don't know how widespread this is.
So they spread it.
And then after they ignited it, they had to put out that fire.
So they had firefighting And then they ended up producing millions of gallons of toxic water, which we now know was then put into other tanker trucks that were run down the highway to Texas.
They drove them from Ohio to Texas.
And during that drive, if there had been an accident, it would have spilled this toxic chemical, you know, on the highways between Ohio and Texas.
Perhaps exposing thousands of other people in another area.
And then, when they got into Texas, their plan, which may have been suspended, it's not clear if they already did part of this, but they use a company called Texas Molecular that has a permit to dispose of hazardous toxic waste by injecting them into deep wells underground, which will spread the toxic chemicals even more.
So, how insane is this?
They had it contained in rail cars in one small town in Ohio.
Now, it's spread all to the underground aquifers in Texas.
Could have spread on the highways.
It's been spread up into the air, falling on farms and residential areas and school grounds and playgrounds and everything all across multiple states, right?
So, every decision they made was a decision to spread the pollution.
Asymmetrical warfare, my friends.
That's what that's called.
Every decision was to spread it.
At no time did they seek to contain this chemical.
Think about that.
There was no containment.
There was not a controlled burn.
They say that.
It's a lie.
It was an uncontrolled burn.
They set fire to it in a ditch.
That's out of control.
It was not a controlled venting.
They set it on fire.
No effort to control it.
Every effort to spread it as far and as wide as possible.
Which, again, that's what terrorists do.
So if you've ever wondered, are we really under attack?
Yes, you are.
You are being attacked by a terrorist organization or a cabal, let's say, of terrorist organizations that are deliberately trying to murder you, to poison your food supply, and by withholding the dioxin testing, they're trying to keep you in the dark about what they did.
This is molecular terrorism.
That's what this is.
Molecular terrorism of the food supply, of the human population, of the environment, of the waterways.
And the EPA is part of the cover-up.
The EPA is running a molecular terrorism operation in America.
Never forget it.
Just like the FDA said, oh, take these jabs.
They're safe and effective.
The EPA is like, everything's good.
Go back home.
It's all safe.
Drink the water.
They know that's a lie.
They all know.
All the scientists in the EPA, honest ones, they know it's a big lie.
EPA is one of the worst criminal organizations on this planet.
I've interviewed, you know, Dr.
David Lewis, whistleblower from the EPA. They destroyed his career because he was trying to tell the truth about toxic chemicals in biosludge.
Which is why I did that whole movie on that topic, biosludged.com.
If you want to look it up, you can watch the movie for free, EPA, a criminal front, to cover up the crimes of the chemical industries and the pesticide industries as well.
So think about that, folks.
Mike Adams here, The Health Ranger, naturalnews.com, and also brighteon.com.
Take care.
Welcome to the Health Ranger Report here on Brighteon.tv and Brighteon.com.
I'm Mike Adams, the founder of Brighteon, the free speech platform where we can speak freely about issues that matter.
And today we're joined by Ben Sanderson from Gun Owners of America.
Gunowners.org is the website, and he is the legislative policy assistant for the Federal Affairs Department.
And we have him on because of this critical issue of the ATF now trying to criminalize potentially millions of Americans who legally purchased stabilizing braces for their AR platform pistols and other pistols over the last several years based on the ATF's own recommendation that this was perfectly legal.
And I own some of these as well.
And so what are we going to do Well, Gun Owners of America has some answers, and here to give us those answers is Mr.
Sanderson.
Thank you, Ben.
If I may call you Ben, but thank you for joining me.
It's great to have you on.
Thanks for having me on, Mike.
It's a great opportunity to always speak with plenty of new people and spread the message about what the ATF's doing and how this is going to criminalize up to millions of people for simply owning a piece of plastic.
Yeah, absolutely.
That's a really important way to put it.
Now, I think most of our listeners are familiar with the stabilizing brace situation, but just for any who are new to the topic, Could you just give us a quick brief of what happened, you know, the publishing of the rule, the 120-day period, and what is Gun Owners of America doing to fight this right now?
Of course.
So this process started about a year ago when President Biden asked the ATF to really look into these accessories because he thought that they were allowing people to evade certain loopholes.
But the bigger old purpose is for him to come after your guns.
The thing about these stabilizing braces is there's nearly 40 million of them, according to a CRS report.
That's up to 40 million people that are going to be felons now simply for owning something that the ATF has approved for the last decade.
It was originally designed to help veterans be able to shoot their AR-15s one-handed due to either being a paraplegic or such. - Thank you.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
And then a lot of us in the firearms, the Second Amendment community, we found that this was also a convenient format for us to be able to legally carry firearms for self-defense purposes in a more compact format.
And a lot of people that I know are veterans, and they do have shoulder injuries or elbow injuries or wrist injuries, and they need these stabilizing braces.
Not everybody does, but the ATF has already issued multiple opinions, haven't they?
Saying that these are perfectly legal for non- Is that correct?
Yep, you're correct as well.
There was an approval letter that said that simply putting it up to one shoulder does not constitute a redesign of the weapon, and therefore wouldn't make it a national firearms weapon or an NFA firearm, which would need a $200 tax registration.
But that's what they're doing now, is they're saying that because certain people have put it up to their shoulders, they're calling it a short-billed rifle, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine per item.
these without having properly registered them.
And the insane thing about this is a lot of new gun owners, which we've seen over the last few years, went and bought these pistol ARs or pistol firearms because they were lighter, they're easier to control.
These are popular amongst shorter people like myself or women who aren't as strong enough or don't have necessarily all the strength to hold a full 16-inch barrel rifle.
I noticed that as well.
Yeah, exactly.
A lot of women found these very useful because they don't necessarily, many of them don't have the upper body muscle mass to hold a full-length 16-inch barrel AR, but they can use an AR pistol in this configuration, maybe with even a 10.5 barrel or what have you.
They can use it effectively for self-defense or home defense.
And why does the ATF want to prevent women from being able to effectively defend themselves?
That's a whole question.
So what's your answer to that, Ben?
I mean, why does the ATF seem to be really discriminatory in this policy, discriminating against women or smaller stature people, for example?
It's because they don't actually care about them.
They don't care about your natural right, your God-given right to own a firearm for self-defense or for whatever you want.
In fact, like you were talking about, being able to discriminate against women or people with disabilities.
In the final rule that they published, they got a lot of comments asking how this would be a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
And their response to that simply was, Well, we're part of the federal government, so we don't have to pay attention to that.
It's insane to think that we're willing to charge people with prison with a huge fine simply for owning what is essentially an aesthetic choice.
It's the difference between a 15.9 inch barrel and a 16 inch barrel in a lot of these cases.
It does nothing to make the weapon deadlier.
It doesn't increase the lethality of the weapon at all.
It is simply a choice, and the APF is coming after you.
It reduces the muzzle velocity of the weapon, by the way.
I mean, a shorter barrel reduces the muzzle velocity for most of these rounds because they're loaded for a 16-inch barrel, so they're not going to have the full acceleration, right?
So actual muzzle velocity would be lower, so there's less kinetic energy coming out of a lot of these pistols.
Is that a point that anybody pays attention to?
Well, it's something that we've brought up in the past when talking to members of Congress and their staff.
It's, this doesn't make the bullet fire faster.
This doesn't make it deadlier.
This isn't going to make it go faster at all.
But the ATF doesn't care about that.
They're more interested in taking these firearms away from people.
They're more interested in restricting your Second Amendment rights than they are about any of the facts.
So talk to us about the legislative efforts, or I'm sorry, the lawsuit efforts by Gun Owners of America.
And for those of you who want to support this important group, GOA, just go to gunowners.org.
And I strongly advocate this group.
I think this is the most effective group out there on a national basis that's fighting for your Second Amendment rights.
I know lawsuits have been filed and I know the state of Texas is involved with some various actions as well.
Can you give us a quick overview of what gun owners is doing to fight this and perhaps get an injunction issued?
Well, I appreciate the support, Mike.
It's always awesome to hear about our supporters.
For the lawsuit, we're actually filed in the Fifth Circuit in Texas.
We did file with Ken Paxton, the Attorney General for Texas, and our lawsuit is the most complete.
We go over not only the Administrative Procedures Act and how it's wronged there and how the rule is unconstitutional on that front, But we also attack it on a slew of other issues, mainly that this is an attack on your Second Amendment rights, it's unconstitutional, and so is the NFA as a precursor tax to one of your rights.
Yeah, well, the entire NFA needs to be revoked and kind of reworked, I would argue, but that's for a later day.
What are, in your opinion, What do you think the chances are of this being stopped before the 120-day period is up, after which millions of Americans will be transformed into criminal felons overnight?
Are you optimistic about this lawsuit or even some other lawsuits that have been filed?
Well, I'm very optimistic about our lawsuit in Texas.
Not only is it the best, but the Fifth Circuit recently ruled on Chevron deference, in which the government is seen as the subject matter expert on all their rules, and so the court takes that opinion.
That was recently struck down in a different case in the Fifth Circuit.
It was Cargill versus ATF. And so that's super important, and one of the reasons we chose to file in the Fifth Circuit was to be able to avoid the Chevron deference, which is still...
Yeah, the Fifth Circuit, I think, definitely has the best chance of working to defend the Second Amendment here.
Of course, whatever decision comes from the Fifth Circuit would be challenged and appealed by the ATF. Is there a sense that this is going to end up before the Supreme Court at some point?
I would have to talk to my lawyers about that, but we're optimistic that we'll get an injunction and a great decision right there to stop the rule from being enforced, and if it takes time through the courts, so long as we are able to still own these pistol-braced firearms.
It could go to the Supreme Court.
It might, because a lot of places have been fighting against Bruin, even though that was recently given down by the Supreme Court.
So yes, we do expect it to be appealed in the Fifth Circuit by the federal government.
However, as long as we get the preliminary injunction or the temporary restraining order so that the rule can't be enforced, we're more than happy to fight this all the way up to the Supreme Court so long as gun owners can keep their pistol-braced firearms.
That's really great to hear because a lot of gun owners across America, including myself, right now we are waiting, obviously, to see what happens here.
I still have AR pistols with braces attached and I'm just watching to see what happens.
How many days do we have left of this 120 days, by the way?
I think we're about...
Two months currently.
I haven't been keeping as close to track as I should be.
Okay.
I'm hoping it's not that far along, but I think, I mean, there's definitely a few weeks have passed, right?
Maybe three weeks or something, maybe four, I don't know.
But the thing is...
You know, we are responsible gun owners.
That is, we follow the law.
I mean, myself and my audience and so on.
We never advocate illegal things.
You know, don't go get full auto triggers and drop them in.
Don't go have illegal suppressors and things like that.
So we want to follow the law.
Does Gun Owners of America have any advice for people if that 120 days comes and there hasn't been an injunction, is there any official advice like, oh, just take the braces off the pistols or anything like that from gun owners?
Well, it certainly depends on what kind of pistol you have.
For an AR-15, the rule is not 100% clear.
They've muddied it a lot compared to the proposed rule last year, which we read over in the summer and gave our comments to.
They had a point system in the proposed rule.
I remember that point system, yeah.
It was kind of like trying to solve a 7th grade math word problem.
A train leaves Philadelphia at 45 miles per hour.
It was crazy.
But then they scrapped the whole point system, right?
And they've changed it over to these objective characteristics, which in themselves are quite vague.
So it's hard to know how to be in compliance with that, even it's deliberately made so.
One of our lawyers, Stephen Stamboulier, was talking about it, in which he has a pistol, which he says, if he took the brace off it and the buffer tube, which is necessary to the function of the firearm, he can't shoulder that.
That wouldn't be a pistol for him.
But for someone like me, who is a lot shorter and has shorter arms than him, there's a chance it could be considered an illegal SBR, because my length of pull is a lot shorter, so it could be able to go into my shoulder pocket.
You mean just a buffer tube?
They said that they would not include a buffer tube.
However, they also mentioned a caveat in which an ATF agent has discretion over whether or not they could be considered an illegal SBR.
Wow, so basically they can just say, we think, we're just going to call it an SBR no matter what.
They have discretion to say that.
Oh, yes, they do.
That's just crazy.
I mean, that sounds like, frankly, absolute tyranny or insanity.
I mean, no matter what you have, they can just say, you know, technically that, well, we think that pistol self-identifies as an SBR. Right.
That's a good way to put it, yeah.
Yeah.
So it's like firearms transgenderism or something.
I don't know what they would call it, but it's weird, and it's highly disturbing because, again, gun owners in America, like myself and others, we take pride in complying with the law.
We go out and get the permits.
We get the training.
We carry responsibly.
And we are not lawbreakers, and we don't buy illegal things, but then we buy something that's legal, and then they say, oh, we're going to make that illegal.
That just seems grossly unconstitutional and unfair.
Oh yeah, 100%.
I mean, even when I'm talking to new gun owners who bought a firearm for self-defense during the COVID pandemic, they don't pay attention to this as closely as we do.
They're not reading through these rules.
They're not looking for document drops on the Federal Register.
So a lot of these people could unwittingly become felons simply for buying something that they prefer that was the best choice for them to defend their family and themselves.
looters and such during a scary time.
But now, because the government has arbitrarily decided, no, this is not legal anymore, even after a decade of letters and decisions, they could, like I said, become criminals.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, we're going to move on to another topic with you here, but will you keep us posted about, well, I mean, I guess we can read your press announcement at gunowners.org, but you have our producer's information.
Please contact us if there's some emergency alert that you need to get out.
We'll help you get that out.
Let's move on to the FFL issue.
You had mentioned to me before we started here, and I've seen other stories about this as well, the ATF is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy where it seems like any typo or honest mistake on the part of an FFL, which is a gun retailer or a gun dealer, That transfers firearms to purchasers with background checks, if required by law, that the ATF is just running around trying to shut down FFL dealers all across the country.
Can you tell us about what's happening there?
Of course.
Yeah, Gun Owners of America, myself and my team, Recently received leaked ATF documents talking about this new zero tolerance policy.
Essentially what it is, is the Biden administration instructed the ATF to look more closely at FFLs and look for tiny mistakes.
They're insane things like a paperwork mistake in which someone put down the wrong number or put down a zero instead of an O.
These FFLs are now being punished with that for the most severe punishment, which in the past, usually what the ATF did was give a warning letter or a warning conference in which they told the FFLs essentially, hey, you made a mistake.
You're not in compliance with the law.
Here's how you can improve it.
And this is us telling you, come back.
Do the right thing.
And FFLs more often than not chose to comply with that and said, hey, yeah, you're right.
This was an innocent mistake.
This was a mistake on our half.
Let's fix it and let's move forward and let's come back into compliance with the law.
But like you said, now these innocent mistakes are being used to shut down plenty of FFLs around the country.
Just this year, there were 92 revocations.
That's the most since 2008.
Yeah, I know people who have even turned in their FFL license or they've allowed it to expire simply because they know this is coming.
Well, it's already happening.
And they don't want to be, you know, terrorized, I guess, by the ATF or even threatened.
The ATF can threaten, you know, criminal charges against FFLs for some of these innocent mistakes.
And there are FFL dealers who...
I've seen that happen.
So not only the 92, I think you said, that have been ordered shut down by the ATF, but there are no doubt hundreds across the country who have just thrown in the towel and said that this is too much to deal with.
Have you heard that too?
We have, yes.
And this really is a two-pronged attack by the ATF. Not only is it an attack on Second Amendment rights and people's ability by these firearms to be able to practice the Second Amendment and shoot and defend themselves, but also, interestingly enough, These records, the records of these shutdown FFLs go to the Out of Business Records Keeping Center, which the ATF runs, and the ATF has now turned into an illegal registry.
They have it digital, they have it searchable.
It's an insane collection and mis-overstep of government authority.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I mean, and they have all my purchases in that system as well, even though I bought with a concealed carry permit that doesn't require, you know, an FBI check because, you know, I have a concealed carry.
I've already passed all those checks, but now...
An FFL dealer that I did business with did go out of business and they sent all the records to ATF as the ATF requires.
So exactly right.
They have a full database now of records which normally would have been kept more private or more local.
So that is a huge concern.
It is a nationwide kind of a stealth registry taking place.
But You meet with lawmakers, as I understand it.
What are you hearing from lawmakers about this?
And let me set the tone.
Because of the defund the police movement that's been pushed by a lot of Democrats, especially across America, the streets are more violent in many areas.
And I've even seen, frankly, more Democrats buying firearms.
I've seen gay groups purchasing firearms.
I've seen more women especially purchasing firearms.
I've seen more people of color purchasing firearms.
A lot of black Americans are buying firearms for self-defense and self-protection, not to carry out crimes, but to defend their families and their communities, which is their right to do so.
So how is it going in conversations with lawmakers about the need for self-defense?
Well, we're super excited.
This has been a great year.
We've really been able to push forward a lot of great legislative ideas.
If you look at last year, or sorry, in the past few years, it wouldn't have been possible to do a lot of what we're doing.
Just to start off the list, in response to the pistol brace ban, we are helping with the SHORT Act, the Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today Act, and that would target the heart of the NFA. That targets short bail rifles, short bail shotguns, and any other weapons.
So, While our lawsuit is great, it only works on this specific rule.
To prevent it from ever happening again, whether it's Biden or a different anti-gun president from trying the exact same thing of banning pistol braces or banning AR-15s, we need to go straight after the NFA. And that's exactly why Senator Marshall's bill is so great and the House Companion Bill by Congressman Andrew Clyde.
What would that look like if the NFA is reformed or revoked?
I mean, what kind of system would be in place instead of that, you think?
So, specifically for the Short Act, what it would do is just get rid of the requirement that someone has to register a shorter-than-16-inch barrel rifle with the ATF, and the same with short-barreled shotguns and any other weapons.
So, it doesn't necessarily take out machine guns and destructive devices yet.
It's very limited in its approach to fighting solely the pistol-brace band, but it would turn them into essentially the same thing as going down to an FFL and picking out a new rifle, a 16-inch rifle.
Right, right.
And again, that rule, I mean, what was the original year of the NFA? It was so long ago, and it seems so obsolete at this point.
You recall the year?
It was in 1934, the National Firearms Act.
And it was originally made to regulate pistols, but then they looked at it and they realized they couldn't get that.
So they left in all these other choices as well.
That's really something.
Well, I'm very happy that Gun Owners of America is out there fighting for this legislatively and communicating to lawmakers.
What about Democrat lawmakers?
Traditionally, of course, they're anti-gun, but are some Democrats more open than they were before because of all the violent crime across America?
Well, we here at Gun Owners America, we're nonpartisan.
All we care about is how pro-gun are you?
We talk to Democrat lawmakers all the time, whether it's sending out alerts or trying to give them information about what's going on.
Specifically, I can reference the assault weapons ban of 2021, where...
When we gave out information, it was, hey, this isn't going to do what you think.
This isn't going to reduce violent crime.
We had several Democrat lawmakers vote against it.
And I'm not going to claim that our influence helped at all, but I will say that there are some Democratic lawmakers out there that aren't going full anti-gun like it seems like a majority of the party is.
Yeah, that's really important because, you know...
The data are quite clear.
More guns equals less crime, and that is guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
The more armed citizens you have carrying every day, the less crime you have.
That's just a fact.
So if you're anti-crime, you've got to be pro-Second Amendment, that's for sure.
Well, Ben, it's great to have you here.
Are there any final thoughts or words or programs you want to share with our people before we wrap this up?
Well, thanks for having me, Mike.
Yeah, I would encourage you to check out our Instagram and all of our Facebooks as well as the website.
We do a YouTube show in which we talk about these gun laws as they happen.
I'm actually the host of it.
It's the Minuteman Moment.
But again, thank you, Mike.
I really appreciate this opportunity.
Well, absolutely, Ben.
We appreciate you.
We appreciate everything that your organization is doing and the leadership there and also just the courage to do what is right, necessary for the Second Amendment and self-defense and not get mired in internal politics or what have you.
