Okay, I've got a great announcement to share with you today.
This is Mike Adams, naturalnews.com editor, at least for the moment, as I'm about to share with you.
We are launching a new site, which is an old site, to carry the new articles in a different way.
I'm not trying to be confusing.
Here's the story.
I started a website back in 2003 called Newstarget.com.
Newstarget.com grew from 2003 to, I think it was roughly about 2007, largely with a focus on nutrition and healing foods, superfoods, disease prevention, So it was called News Target, but it was about health, which didn't really make sense.
So we acquired the domain name Natural News in 2007, I believe it was.
And then Natural News really began to take off and explode from that year.
And it became, you know, the large, very large, multiple millions of readers a month that it is today.
But for the last...
Three years or so, I got kind of bored with nutrition because I felt like I had covered it all.
And I know I haven't.
That's not technically accurate.
There's always more to learn in nutrition.
But I felt like I had really covered so much of the same material over and over again.
You know, trans fats are bad for you.
MSG is bad for you.
Aspartame is bad for you.
Fresh foods prevent disease.
Super fruits like blueberries prevent disease and chlorella and spirulina, microalgae, astaxanthin.
All these things.
I've just gone over it so many times to the point where just day to day...
I'm like an encyclopedia of this stuff, by the way.
If you know me in person, people who talk to me in person...
They can show me any food item in a grocery store or on their plate on dinner.
I can give them the whole story of what's in that food, all the ingredients, all the toxins, all the healing ingredients, everything.
The food modifications, homogenization, pasteurization, the autolyzed yeast proteins, everything.
I'm just like a freaking encyclopedia at this point of food and nutrition and health.
And it got kind of boring, frankly, writing about that just over and over and over again.
And I also really became more aware of the fact that we need to we need to stand up against the tyranny and the oppression that is keeping us all sick.
You know what I mean?
That is outlawed natural healing that is outlawed medicinal herbs to be used for treating cancer in America, for example, and all of these things.
So I became more politically focused over the last few years.
And so natural news began to cover a lot more politics.
And if you know anything about my own personal political beliefs, they can really be summed up as just anti-establishment.
A lot of people think that I'm actually right-wing or conservative establishment.
That's absolutely not true.
I'm not establishment.
I am constitutional.
I'm libertarian.
I'm tolerant.
You know, social issues, I'm very liberal.
Fiscal issues, I'm very conservative.
But I'm 100% pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, free speech, First Amendment, Second Amendment.
You know, I'm an anti-establishment person.
And personally, I happen to like a lot of what Donald Trump is saying right now.
I like a lot of what Ted Cruz says or Rand Paul.
But I'm completely fed up with establishment people on the left and the right.
So anyway, that's beside the point.
Like, for years, I actually attacked the Bushes.
A lot of people don't realize that today, but from 2003 through 2008, I was really going after the corruption of the Bush administration.
And then, of course, after Obama got into office, he kind of got a free pass for a little while from everybody, but now we're all exposing the total lies of the Obama regime.
Anyway, the point is that natural news really began to take on just a predominantly political tone, which was not really the intended purpose of the original idea of getting the domain name natural news.
It was supposed to be about natural health and natural living and natural therapies.
You know, talk about GMOs and vaccines and fluoride and clean food versus heavy metals contamination food.
You know, do the laboratory analysis, by the way, which I'm I'm very, very busy with launching the new lab.
And it's it's awesome.
It's just freaking awesome.
I got a new book, by the way, Liquid Chromatography, Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry, TOFMS, and I'm reading that book.
That's a great book, and we got a lot of new information coming out of the lab on LCMS, by the way, Organic Molecule Accurate Mass Identification.
So that's coming out, and I'm geeking out on that and having a great time with it.
And what I love about the lab, by the way, is it's not political.
The instruments just tell you the truth.
There's no conservative spin or liberal spin or anything.
It's just, hey, here it is.
Atomic mass 206.
You have 57 parts per billion.
That's lead, by the way.
206 is one of the lead isotopes.
Nevertheless...
Moving on.
The point is that natural news became, you know, very political, and that really wasn't the intended purpose.
And I recognized this for a number of years, and I got a lot of feedback from people, too, who were like, hey, you know, we come to natural news, actually, to read about foods and herbs and everything, not really about, you know, your gun rights views, which is fine.
You know, I appreciate all the feedback, even the criticism.
It's fine.
I love the feedback from readers.
So, I've been working for the last...
Well, probably planning it for a year, but thanks to some really talented people that joined us in the last year who have helped us launch the News Target again, we now have Newstarget.com launching.
And Newstarget.com is going to take over all the political stuff.
So, in other words, everything that's health and green living related is going to stay on naturalnews.com, which is where it should be.
And then Newstarget.com is the site where we're putting all the political stuff.
Any kind of, you know, like financial collapse type of stories, anything related to politics, just stuff that doesn't really fit on natural news.
So I think this is great news, and the people that I've mentioned this to have given me very, very positive feedback, and everybody's thrilled about this decision.
So here's the deal.
You now, as of today, you have Natural News and then you have Newstarget.com.
And these two sites exist in parallel.
Natural news is from today forward.
It's clearing out the queue of some of the stuff that we had queued up to publish on politics.
But after that queue is cleared out, it's all clean food, green living, medicinal herbs.
You know, that whole realm, sustainable living.
We will cover some preparedness and survival and self-reliance because that's about home gardening and growing your own food and emergency medicine.
You know, those types of topics.
But we're not going to put any pure politics on natural news.
I mean, you'll have stories on there about Obamacare because that's obviously healthcare-related.
But We'll talk about doctors.
We'll talk about big pharma corruption, of course.
But we're not going to be talking about Trump versus Clinton on natural news.
That's going to go over to Newstarget.com, which you're welcome to either visit or ignore as you see fit.
That's the beauty of the Internet.
You can change the channel if you don't like it.
Or if you do like it, you can keep revisiting the channel.
And I tell you, on Newstarget.com, we have so much incredible news coming out all throughout the day.
This is the other thing.
Naturalnews.com, you've probably noticed, it only gets news stories late at night.
About once a day, we update it with anywhere from 12 to 15 original stories.
And sometimes we post during the day when there's breaking news.
But usually it's just once a day, late at night, actually, that Natural News gets new stories.
But NewsTarget.com will get news stories all throughout the day, which is what people are really more used to these days.
It's kind of like the posting schedule of something like Breitbart.com, for example, which is an independent media website that I actually really enjoy checking out.
I kind of like the attitude of some of the writers there, like Brandon Darby and Milo Yiannopoulos.
I think that's how you pronounce his name.
I think Milo's great.
He's Breitbart.com's gay conservative writer.
And he's just got a great attitude.
He's a very brilliant guy.
I just have a great time reading his stuff.
And Ben Shapiro, too, who's also just a genius.
Young, smart.
Brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant tactician.
Love reading Ben Shapiro and Milo Yiannopoulos.
They're both fantastic.
And that means a lot for me, I think.
I'm a well-established writer on the Internet.
I have written thousands of articles over the past few years that people have enjoyed reading.
And there are people that I enjoy reading, and those are two of them, by the way.
So if you want to...
Well, no, let me say it this way.
Because we're opening up the new site Newstarget.com, this actually sets me free to go into even more detail on some of the topics that are really not appropriate for natural news.
So, for example, because you know I'm pro-gun rights and gun safety and guns for self-defense in the hands of law-abiding citizens, I haven't...
You know, hid that view from anyone.
I'm very open about that.
So on Newstarget.com, I'm going to cover more things about gun safety or even gun reviews and gun selection, especially for women who need self-defense and they don't know what to get and sometimes they're kind of intimidated by the big male machismo attitude of the gun culture.
I've got some recommendations for you that I think can be very effective and can increase your personal safety.
So I'll be doing that on Newstarget.com.
At the same time, we have big plans this year, 2016, for naturalnews.com because we've just completed our new expanded laboratory and we have new instrumentation coming in.
We have new projects where we're testing off-the-shelf foods and things from the industry for an expanded list of possible contaminants, including various, you know, benzenes and parabens and BPA, and even checking the vitamin content of nutritional supplements and even checking the vitamin content of nutritional supplements or even the herbal content, doing label verification checking types of projects.
We've got a lot of interesting things coming up there, and that's all going to be published at naturalnews.com, which is where it should be.
So finally, after, you know, what, 13 years, I think we're getting our domains sorted out.
It took a long time, but naturalnews.com is now going to be everything natural, and newstarget.com is going to be, well, everything else.
So check out both websites.
I hope you enjoy what we're bringing you, and thank you for your feedback, and I hope we're going to have a great year together in 2016.
