This is a very sad story.
A very sad story about a woman who's obviously in extremis in terms of psychologically and also a society that we're just...
I mean, losing control of.
This is a story about a naked rampage at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
The shocking meltdown as a woman strips bare, smashes screens, and leaves passengers freaked out, as you can imagine.
I mean, this is...
I can't put any pictures up because, God forbid, whatever the algorithm, but in a jaw-dropping scene straight out of some...
Hollywood blockbuster gone wrong, a stark naked woman turned Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport into her own personal chaos playground this week, leaving travelers horrified and airport staff scrambling.
This unidentified woman apparently lost her mind.
It's so, it's sad.
This is the most incredible.
She just lost her mind.
She was identified, I hope so, and caught in this viral video that set social media ablaze.
See, she stripped off every stitch of clothing, sprinted through the terminal D, and for delirious, I guess, And unleashed a tirade of bizarre rants, hurling drinks and smashed equipment, and in a meltdown that sparked outrage and complete and total disbelief across America.
And the shocking incident which unfolded on or about the 24th of this month.
During the bustling spring break travel rush, that's nice, that's a nice one, huh?
Saw this woman, this poor, I'm sorry, she's somebody's daughter, unhinged, storming through the concourse, clutching nothing but a water bottle and a wild-eyed determination to wreak havoc.
She said, quote, I speak all languages, you mother effers!
She was screeching and yelling and saying this in front of stunned onlookers and passengers before dousing the door with water, kind of like an ablution, and charging at a bank of overhead monitors while the world looked at this woman who seemed to be almost possessed.
Passengers were watching in stunned silence.
Nobody did anything.
The security didn't even touch her.
Who wanted to get near her?
I mean, she wasn't hiding any weapon.
People were in stunned silence, gawked in morbid, terrified fascination as she lobbed a cell phone at the screens and she was smashing them to bits.
She even took aim at the boarding door at gate D4, leaving a trail of destruction in her sick way.
This is a mental breakdown.
Or something more sinister?
Or maybe a possession?
Ah, you laugh about that!
I wouldn't just claim that the woman later identified by some reports as Samantha Palma was in the grips of a manic episode that spiraled into complete chaos and violence.
Sources say she didn't stop at vandalism.
She allegedly stabbed two people with a pencil and sank her teeth.
This gets really bad.
Into a restaurant manager who bravely tried to intervene.
You know, they say the human mouth is dirtier than a dog's mouth.
So they say.
I don't know who they are either.
Blood was found smeared in her body, though medics confirmed it wasn't hers.
Okay.
She was completely out of control, one traveler reported.
The quote was, it was like something out of a horror film.
People were screaming, kids were crying.
And she just kept going, screaming and yelling and whatever.
She was stark naked.
The woman darted past bewildered and confused holidaymakers, looking to have a little time away, dodging a lone security guard who seemed rather, you know, reluctant and loath.
To lay a hand on her, perhaps out of fear of the optics or being bitten or God knows what.
In today's hypersensitive climate, who the hell wants to touch some naked woman?
You'll be charged with sexual battery?
A female staff member very carefully and gingerly approached with a coat, hoping to cover her, kind of like a, almost like a Toreador.
But the gesture...
Seemed to only fuel her manic fire.
She started swearing like a sailor and charged off again.
People couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Where was security?
I'd love to see it.
You can see it.
You don't need me to do it.
You just go on X. Where was security?
Where were the police?
It was madness.
And the viral video that caught it all is sparking quite the fury.
What is happening to America, people are asking.
And this two-minute clip, Now racking up millions of views on X and beyond, has ignited a firestorm online.
Just another day at Dallas Airport, somebody quipped, I guess, on trying to be sarcastic.
Others demanded answers.
People were asking, why did it take so long to stop her?
And if you watch it, nobody, they just kind of looked at her.
This is a disgrace.
What if she was a hijacker?
The footage shows passengers ducking for cover as this woman flings water at profanities with complete abandon.
Her incoherence, screaming, the rants, all of this veering out of control of claims of well, her linguistic choices were interesting.
They showed, somebody said they went from linguistic mastery To delusional outbursts.
At one point, she reportedly told a cop she was Venus and had come from hell.
These were her words.
A chilling detail, rather.
Straight out of some kind of psychological thriller.
Now, critics and a lot of people are pointing to the fact that airport bosses were dropping the ball and they were slamming on what they called a shocking failure of security protocols.
Think about this.
One of the busiest travel hubs in the United States.
I mean, if this had been a man, they'd have tackled him in seconds.
But because it's a woman, well, and don't give me this nonsense about, well, it's a woman, she could have just as easily been a terrorist or somebody who could have wreaked havoc on some poor, unsuspecting passenger.
People were basically echoing the sentiments that people were saying repeatedly.
This is what happens when political correctness, they were saying, and I think maybe to a degree they are correct.
When political correctness in PC trumps common sense, innocent travelers left to fend for themselves while a lunatic runs riot naked.
Oh, did you hear the Disney princess to the demons?
Oh, oh, oh, this shows a mind unraveling.
When police finally swooped in, finally, the woman traveling with her eight-year-old daughter, no less, reportedly spun a web of...
Crazy stories.
She claimed to be Ariel, Pocahontas, and another Disney princess or other princesses.
I'm not familiar with the Disney characters.
And she assisted.
She was going to heaven and confessed that she'd skipped her meds.
Gee, do you think?
Though what those were remains kind of a mystery thanks to redacted reports.
But she said, I wanted to be with the flowers.
Hmm.
And she allegedly told officers, adding that she'd be manifested.
Manifested, yeah.
She said that she'd be manifested.
The car that brought her to DFW, whatever the hell that means.
And her daughter, caught in the chaos, was left in the care of authorities as her mother was carted off for mental health observation, evaluation and treatment if necessary.
And the theories are swirling.
Was this a drug-fueled breakdown?
Was this a regular manic about?
Was this a cry for help?
Was this Satanism?
I always go for the Satan.
Something even darker?
She bit a man and stabbed people with a pencil.
Mental health or not, that's assault.
This is no matter how you look at it.
And other people pointed, interestingly enough, to the timing.
Spring break, a pressure cooker of crowds and stress as a possible trigger.
Well, whatever the cause, whatever it was, the fallout from this was...
Immediate, as you can imagine.
People wanted to know answers right away.
Flags were delayed.
Passengers were traumatized.
You know, to see, no matter how cool you think you are, when you see a naked woman running up and down and screaming at an airport, it's scary.
And the terminal left looking like a war zone.
So DFW right now, by the way, has a growing rap sheet of nudity scandals.
Did you know this?
Believe it or not, this blows me away.
This isn't the first time DFW has played host to a naked rampage.
Another lunatic.
Months ago, a man was spotted strolling past the airport's TGI Fridays, nude, in the buff, adding to the bizarre string of incidents that's got travelers wondering, what the hell's in the water at Dallas-Fort Worth?
Remember years ago when they said everything was the post office?
He went postal.
When I was going to go, he went air-portal.
I gotta work on that.
From a man that was protesting an overbooked flight by stripping down to a woman posing for pictures in Atlanta's airport, public nudity seems to be the new mile-high trend.
And DFW seems to be ground zero.
I mean, this is a wake-up call, my friends.
This is a wake-up call.
And people are, and travel experts all over the place are saying, we've got to do something.
Airports are pressure cookers.
Long lines, canceled flights, crying kids.
I hate them to begin with.
Mix in mental health crises or drugs, all of the incidents on the planes themselves, people being lassoed and tackled and hogtied.
And you've got a ticking time bomb.
I hate to keep using all these metaphors, my friends, but it's true.
Security needs to step up immediately, or we're all at risk.
And the stats back it up.
DFW was expecting 4.8 million passengers this spring break, a 2.4% jump from last year.
Now, with that many bodies backed in, is it any wonder the cracks are showing?
Her crack was showing, too.
I'm sorry, I had to say that.
The public outrage is huge, and there's a nation divided.
See, the incident has split opinion down the middle.
Some see it as a tragic figure in a desperate need of help.
Some look at this woman and say she's clearly not well, she's not a criminal, she's just a little crazy, while others demand justice.
Mental health doesn't excuse attacking people or trashing public property.
A lot of people are saying, how is this mental health nonsense?
Lock her up!
She's got the mental health in the prison or the jail.
And as the video racks up likes and retweets and millions of views, the debate rages.
And by the way, remember, for the rest of her life, for the rest of humankind, this will be on the internet clouds, so to speak.
So we're going to withdraw the line between compassion and accountability.
For now, the woman remains on a mental health hold.
Her fate and that of her daughter is kind of hanging in the balance.
We don't know how she's doing.
Airport officials have stayed tight-lipped about this whole thing, and they're issuing a kind of a rather bland statement about passenger safety while really avoiding the big questions.
How did she get this far?
Why the delay in stopping her?
And what's being done to ensure that this never happens again?
And what kind of procedures do you have in place?
The final word on this, my friends, is we are a nation on edge.
You know, as all this stuff settles down and the dust settles on Terminal D, one thing is absolutely clear.
This rampage, this attack struck a nerve.
It's a stark reminder, my friends, of a society, our society, that's teetering on the edge, on the brink of complete lunacy, where mental health crises collide with public spaces.
And the systems, the systems meant to protect us, It seemed to either falter, shut down, or nowhere to be found.
For the passenger who lived through it, the scars won't fade.
This is scary stuff.
Some people say they'll never unsee this.
People were shaking.
I mean, we can laugh all we want, but people are scared out of their minds.
It's not just an airport story.
It's a story about all of us.
It's a story about how...
How weird we are.
How we are losing our minds and how we are becoming more and more used to this.
And when we are used to this, that's even worse.
We're becoming habituated to this situation instead of shocked or otherwise.
What do you think, my friends?
What do you think?
What are your thoughts?
Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me.
