When disaster hits, security isn't optional.
It's over.
Cable news, cable news, linear programming, whatever the hell you want to call it.
It is so over.
I mean, it is over like you cannot believe.
We've grown.
We've experienced so much.
It's not so much that it's over.
We're over.
We're changed.
We're different.
We're more mature.
The end of cable news is here.
And CNN is its poster child for obsolescence and decline.
You know, once they were hailed, remember this, as you remember, once they were hailed as it, they were it.
This is CNN.
This is CNN.
Remember this.
Hailed as the incredible, the pioneer network.
They were it.
This is CNN.
And now the network shows how it's just crumbling, stumbling through layoffs and desperate restructuring and lawsuits as it clings, clings to an antiquated model that fewer and fewer people of any connection care about.
In an age where streaming platforms and social media dominate the news consumption landscape, look at what you're watching right now.
CNN and its linear cable peers have become relics, antediluvian, oseos, concretized anachronisms, desperately rearranging the deck chairs on their sinking ship.
CNN's decision to lay off hundreds of employees As reported by insiders and the like, underscores how horrid, how bleak things have gotten.
And the move to shift production to cheaper locations like Atlanta is not innovation, it's cost-cutting, masquerading as strategy.
Warner Brothers' discovery may be pouring $70 million into CNN's digital operations, but no amount of funding.
No amount of fund injection can mask the reality that cable news, as we know it, is in its death throes.
With fewer viewers tuning in to linear TV and ad dollars rapidly fleeing to digital-first platforms, this is the end.
This bodes ill.
This pivot feels a little too late, my friends.
A little too late.
Now, the numbers tell the story.
Fox News continues to dominate the cable news race, but even its long-term trajectory is uncertain as younger audiences reject cable in favor of on-demand and algorithm-driven news, or OTT, if you will.
CNN, meanwhile, has been reduced to launching a $3.99 a month digital paywall?
Hoping to squeeze some revenue out of a dwindling user base?
You know, this is the playbook of a network that knows its glory days are far behind it.
Now, NBC News, MSDNC, and other legacy, heritage, concretized sock puppet networks are following suit with their own layoffs.
Now, acknowledging the painful truth, look, things just change.
Linear programming is a zombie, shambling, moving about on borrowed time.
These layoffs aren't just belt-tightening exercises.
They're a tacit admission that the future lies elsewhere.
And you know it and I know it.
The Washington Post and Associated Press are also cutting staff, hinting at a broader reckoning across the entire traditional news industry.
And yes, this has a lot to do with Trump, and yes, it has a lot to do with how the We know this.
And the shift is undeniable.
I'm looking at the news right now.
It is unbelievable.
This is something which is the most incredible thing in the world.
News consumers, especially younger audiences, One, flexibility, personalization, immediacy, and something entertaining.
And something that doesn't look like Huntley and Brinkley.
Things Cable just can't deliver.
Platforms like YouTube and TikTok and Substack have created a thriving ecosystem, as the word of the day is, of independent journalists, but brave and entertaining content creators and micro-influencers who are unencumbered and unbothered and untethered by this bureaucratic inertia, this nonsense of legacy media, which is dead.
These platforms not only serve content that's on demand, But also allow creators to engage directly with their audience in what is really ways that cable news never could even dream of.
CNN's attempt to stay relevant by cautioning its anchors to be more fair-minded or moving production to a cheaper locale are at best a band-aid on a gaping, festering, purulent wound.
I love that.
Supurating.
Its coverage of the 2024 presidential debate between Biden and Trump will likely provide a fleeting ratings bump, they thought.
But that's not going to reverse this overall downward spiral.
Viewers aren't looking for another round of talking heads or polished soundbites.
They're looking for authenticity, immediacy, and a kind of a fresh variety, but something different.
Whatever it's worth, it looks, even the set, I was watching just Fox News and in the morning they've got the couch and the people sitting around like, what is this?
What are you talking about?
Now ultimately the decline of cable news is a natural evolution, this is true, it's survival of the fittest, everybody knows this, and the media ecosystem, I love that word, applies as well.
And linear programming isn't fit for the digital age.
CNN, NBC and their pathetic ilk, May hold on for a few more years, clinging to their legacy, to this memory, but the writing is on the wall.
Streaming platforms like YouTube and Netflix and every niche platform like Twitch or you name it.
They're all providing and proving that people want content that's accessible, that's personalized, that's new, that's different, that's exciting, that's untethered from the rigid schedules of linear cable TV.
Cable news isn't just dying, it's dead!
And the future belongs to platforms and creators who understand how to meet audiences where they are online, on demand, and on their own terms.
And for CNN and the rest of these legacy people, it's not just a bad quarter.
It's the end of an era.
And they know this.
They know this.
So remember, my friends, take heart.
And listen to me very carefully.
This is not just about we don't like these liberal people.
I'm sorry to say it goes for Fox.
It goes for all of these folks.
This is going to be the age, a reinstitution, a reinvigoration, a reintroduction of people like Alex Jones and others.
Yes!
Look at what X is doing.
Look at the platforming.
Look at how what used to be dismissed as conspiracy theories are now absolutely part and parcel with what people thoroughly love.
No, no, no.
CNN, all this, it is dead.
You are watching this.
This is not only an anachronism, you're watching this zombie thing.
The shambolics of this pathetic, again, osios, concretized, ossified, miserable vestige of something that doesn't exist anymore.
It's a new world, my friend, and so is what we're doing right now.
Here's a stat for you.
Did you know that 87%, 87% of the people who watch me and watch my videos and watch myself don't subscribe?
That's horrible.
So please subscribe.
Give us the oomph.
Tell us that what we're doing is interesting, it's exciting, because in seven or eight minutes or five minutes or whatever it is, I can give you more of something that can put a kick in your step and make you say, hmm, maybe even teach you a word or two.
Gee, you'll actually learn.
Thinking differently and thinking with a greater pellucidity, a limpidity, and a clarity.
Now, my friends, do me a favor.
