It quickly spread across more than 200 acres, destroying multiple structures in the upscale, white, affluent neighborhoods nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains.
The rapid escalation has placed thousands of homes and iconic landmarks, such as the Getty Villa.

The Getty Villa is under threat, with fire crews working tirelessly to protect as many structures as possible.

Although no injuries or fatalities have been reported, thank God, as of last time we check, The fire's rapid spread has left many residents reeling.
Witnesses described embers leaping across canyons and foams engulfed in flames, while some residents abandoned their vehicles to run towards safety along the Pacific coast.
SoCal Edison, the region's electric provider, preemptively shut off power to several circuits in Malibu to mitigate Malibu.

According to the tension, or adding rather to the tension, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was out of the country, attending the inauguration of Ghana's John Dramani Mahama.
