There is a perfect analogy, a perfect syllogism, a perfect metaphor, a perfect life lesson between putting Tom Brady on the NFL and he sucks and Kemala as a possible president of the United States and leader of the free world.
Do you see what's happening here?
I see it as clear as day.
It's part of a total acclamation that we are having in this country and in this world to inferiority.
Somebody somewhere said this.
Let's take this guy who on paper is the greatest quarterback and blah blah blah and put him in a position where He can bring that expertise, where he can use that level of knowledge, that encyclopedic reference to everything.
He knows football like nobody's business.
And it is a very, very complicated system of knowledge, despite what some people may think.
But let's put him on there.
And he's handsome, and he's in great shape, and he drinks 25 bottles of water.
And, you know, Len Dawson...
During his prime was smoking cigarettes on the sidelines.
I mean, it's a different world.
So let's take him because he looks good and they like him.
He'll necessarily be able to be loquacious.
He'll be able to be verbally, you know, decent, accurate, literate, limpid, pellucid.
It makes sense.
I've seen this a million times throughout the old days when people say, hey, let's take a comedian.
I remember one time one of the most disastrous...
His events of all time was Joy Behar as a talk radio host because people say, well, she does talk, does stand-up, she must be able to talk.
And there were others as well.
Gilbert Gottfried and others, they tried this.
Some of the worst talk shows ever were Mario Cuomo's show and an old version of Alan Dershowitz from years ago.
He's better now, but these were horrible.
Why?
Because somebody said, well, if this, then this.
If you're good at being a baker, then you would be great at being a television host of a show about being a baker.
Forgetting this sine qua non, the essential element of being able to be good at something completely different, communicating.
Being able to understand the rhythm, the connection, that weird kind of, I don't know what that is.
You've seen it in acting before.
You've seen it as much of a drool as Robert De Niro is.
When he acts, he does it effortlessly.
Why?
Because he's been only one character his entire life.
So it's pretty easy for him to do.
Gay Marla.
Was somebody that they said, well, she'll be able to do this.
She's black or Asian or a woman or whatever it is.
She's been a VP.
She's been a senator.
She's Willie's girl.
She was the AG.
She was a DA.
I'm trying to run out of my initials there.
She's done all this stuff.
She's got to be good.
You know what?
Let's...
You know what?
She'll be great.
The women will love her.
Black people will love her.
Asians will love her.
Young people will love her.
She's a lib.
She's this.
And on paper, But nobody said, wait a minute, can she speak?
What?
Can she speak?
Can she speak?
Well, of course she can speak.
She's a...
No, you don't understand this.
Tom Brady, he knows football.
He's terrific.
Can he speak?
What?
Can he broadcast?
Of course, that will necessarily convert into this.
Of course, if you can do something, you can speak about it.
No!
No!
And it's also this level of incompetence that we're living in.
We're living in this world of incompetence where we have been so affected by people who are vapid and completely devoid of any kind of substance that one more is not going to kill us.
Kemala is Tom Brady.
Tom Brady is Kemala.
People put into positions where they are not equipped because somebody somewhere didn't understand it.
Years ago in talk radio and radio programming, they used to have this guy who would be the program director who was an old sales manager who thought, hey, I can do this because I've been in radio.
And they'll go into a station and they'll say, you know what?
This is a pretty good morning show.
And you've got two people.
Well, if I have four people, it's going to be twice as good.
Why?
Because talent is fungible and people, you know, if you have two, now we've got four.
No.
Morons.
This is bigger than just Tom Brady.
This is not just about Tom Brady's personality.
This is about where we are as a culture, as a civilization.
We're ineptitude.
And there's one thing I will say in conclusion.
Sports fans are the best.
Sports, the only areas of terrestrial talk radio that have Any chance.
I'm talking about talk.
Music is dead.
Forget it.
You're not going to see anything.
AM?
Music?
Come on.
Stop it.
That's what I say.
Microwave radio?
Music?
What?
There's no...
Anyway.
It's going to be urban talk, urban talk, urban and Latino talk.
Morning shows are fantastic.
The best.
Different energy, different vibe, different sensibility, different everything.
They will work.
And also sports.
Local sports in particular.
You can get people who, for all practical purposes, have no conception of what is happening in the world regarding politics or from Gaza to Timbuktu.
They have no clue.
They don't know about politics or elections or electoral college or none of that stuff.
But they know their sports better than anybody.
And you better know it too.
If you call them up, you better know what you're talking about.
You better know the facts and the stats and the history.
They will not brook.
They will not countenance.
They will not tolerate any stupidity when it comes to somebody not knowing how it works.
That's why they're so much better at this.
They're so much better than anything that even remotely resembles talk radio.
By the way, one more gratuitous message.
People are still trying to recreate Rush.
Folks, I love the man.
Rush is dead.
It's a new world.
Okay?
So understand what's happening right now.
Oh, and one more thing I lied.
My final word.
The reason why Tom Brady is catching so much grief is because we love to troll.
Social media is the medium of trolling, of being rude and discourteous and angry and brutal, and that's what That's what social media is all about.
But be not mistaken.
Tom Brady, at his worst, at least knows something.
He knows something about football.
He could become a coach.
He could become a quarterback coach.
He could maybe own being the front officer.
Gamal, I can't do any of this.
Nothing.
She was pulled out.
She is the Chauncey Gardner of politics.
This is an experiment.
She knows nothing.
And instead of them realizing, hey, wait a minute, hold it.
And they had the chance to have her go away, especially when she never got one elector.
She never won one primary when she was just kicked out because she was so unlikable.
They said, oh, no, no, no, we're doubling down.
Somebody, some radio program director, I swear to you, that mentality said, oh, no, no, I want to be the one who did it.
I want to be the one who went from worst to worst.
I took this reject, and I was the one, because I think she's got something.
She's got this, and I've heard this before, she's got this energy.
Well, a gerbil has an energy.
And there's a joke somewhere, somewhere there, which I don't want to get into.
So watch this, my friends.
This is an allegory.
This is a metaphor, a syllogism.
Please, no jokes.
Please, stop it.
And if you caught that joke, great.
If you didn't, forget I said it.
