Welcome to this episode.
This thing of ours, I say to you a hearty hello and a high old silver and a thank you for joining me and our fellow conspirators here on this incredible forum.
I want to thank you as always for being here and for lending a hand and for listening to what we are saying and also to opening your mind.
Let me begin by saying yesterday I had a delightful evening on moats.
M-O-A-T-S, the mother of all talk shows, with my good friend, the estimable, the inimitable, the ineffable, the ineluctable, Mr. George Galloway.
It was one of the most wonderful times that I've had.
He's such a great, great, great, great friend.
And I direct you to his incredible show, Moats, mother of all talk shows.
Again, with the...
The talented George Galloway.
He's fantastic.
He is so...
I am telling you, as of late, I agree...
How do I say this?
My...
Don't take this the wrong way.
My real...
My real audience is European, international...
Not here.
You're the exception.
Not here.
What I say hits a kind of a dull note in my country, in America, in the U.S. of A., because of who we are.
And I think of myself like a candle in the wind.
Wait a minute, that might be a song.
You know, that would be a great title.
I think of myself as being the parent of these unruly, kind of, dare I say, slow children.
Who are, as we used to say in the old days, they're slow.
He's just slow.
They're kind of dense.
They don't get it.
Do you have members of your family who are just dense?
We would have various aunts and uncles that would be called Mishkin.
You know, poor thing.
Just not all there.
That is America.
And social media have exacerbated that at levels one could not even understand.
We're going to be talking about Zelensky.
What a Production that was.
Oh!
It was wonderful.
You're missing the point.
I tried.
I tried.
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody can explain to you the beauty of what this is.
And I'm telling you, it's the work.
It is professional wrestling.
You're missing the point.
I tried.
I really tried.
I thought this morning, you know what?
Early when I wake up, I'm listening to different things and different, you know, I like old.
I'm constantly listening to old lectures or going to foreign news.
Nothing in this country.
I'm kind of an expat in my own country.
I really mean that.
And I've never come this far as to thinking I could live elsewhere.
I never thought I could.
I never thought I'm getting very tired of here.
Not here, but the mentality.
I can't take it.
So I listened for a second, as I normally tell you.
I said, I wonder what Fox News or Tucker, he's the only one even.
He's the only thing out of all of the Prototypical conservative.
That's it.
And as soon as Tulsi Gabbard, that's it.
I am so fast.
I am so gone.
The usual, I don't know where, somebody said, we have to interrupt you, award-winning genius, and put on this Ivan DiCarlo doppelganger, or God forbid, Candace.
I can't take it.
This is where I don't fit in.
I'm thinking, would you please, before you hit the brakes, let's talk about what is happening.
Like an adult, like a sentient human being, think.
I'm all over the world.
I'm reading what's going on.
I want to hear what they think.
I know what I think.
I know what the truth is.
I know what's going on in Ukraine.
I know what that's about.
I don't need to have somebody validate that.
I want to hear what others.
I have a friend of mine, he doesn't know this.
But when I want to get the liberal perspective, I want to see what he says.
And he doesn't realize it.
He must be noticing I'm looking at him, I'm listening very carefully.
Uh-huh, go ahead, go on, go on.
That's what I think is interesting.
I don't care what the truth is.
I want to know what the other people think.
I know what Vietnam was about.
I'm fascinated what people liked about Vietnam.
What did they see?
You're not going to understand the world or real time if you don't listen to what other people are saying.
If you don't listen to what, not the enemy, but understand what this was.
Understand the timing of this.
Understand.
Step back.
Don't watch this as an American.
Watch this as an astute observer.
We're going to be talking about this.
Oh, it's going to be terrific.
It's going to be so terrific.
But first, I want to say, I've got to get the important things out of the way.
Number one, I hope you are doing a number of things.
If you are not following me on Twitter, I've got to tell you something.
You are making the biggest mistake of your life.
That's it.
The stuff that I put up there is great.
Even George Galloway.
You can't go wrong with that.
Even he loves it.
It's, well, dare I say, it is perfect.
Also, on January the 14th, Can't wait.
What will we talk about at the cutting room?
The premier venue in New York City.
First of all, it's one of the greatest musical venues.
Everybody's played there.
Everybody.
Just the configuration of it.
Great food.
Great segment.
We're off to ourselves and we're ensconced in this.
Not just me, but we kind of close the doors and it's just us.
It's like a 12-step meeting to reality.
It's not more than comedy, more than stand-up.
I don't even want to call it a more.
Not spoken word.
It's music thought.
But here's the thing.
What nobody does is it's the chance for you and me to speak together.
We have cards, we have questions, we have microphones.
It's immersive.
Nobody does this because other people have to have predictable shows.
Mine is...
I don't know what you want to call it.
Stand-up meets TED Talks meets...
I don't know.
You can't describe it.
So that's January the 14th.
Again, tickets available.
Please join me.
Join me.
Join me.
And one more thing before we get into this.
I want to tell you this.
I am absolutely so thrilled about the reaction we've had for people when we've talked about electromagnetic Pulse protection.
There's a product called EMP Shield.
And this is the thing that people have absolutely been saying, I've been wondering how do we do this?
How does one protect him or herself against an electromagnetic pulse shield?
Shield.
What do we do?
How do we protect ourselves?
It's the best question there is.
And I want you to make note of this particular, this link right here, because it's not just your phone and your generator and your car and your RV and your ham radio and everything.
It's the world.
And that's the thing which is the most important.
Because this technology, EMP Shield, has undergone testing at Keystone Compliance, a military certified facility, enlisted by the Department of Homeland Security.
And the device is there to protect you and your family in the event of an EMP pulse.
This speaks for itself.
With EMP Shield, you'll not only protect yourself, but also...
Listen to this.
Protecting the nation.
Is anybody in that omnibus bill talking about protecting?
No.
Any of that money going to us?
No.
We'll talk about that.
So make sure you notice that EMP Shield, this is brilliant.
Now let's go to what happened.
First, I want you to go and ask people what they What is Mr. Zelensky?
Who is he?
Where is he from?
What does he do?
Where did he come from?
Tell me about him.
And remember something.
Remember I'm telling you this.
I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I'm telling you.
Remember that when you meet people, do not bludgeon them.
Do not, do not attack them.
Do not do this.
I want you to think very carefully.
When you speak to them, ask them questions.
Ask them questions.
Ask them.
Who is he?
Who is Volodymyr?
Versus Vladimir.
Notice the difference.
Where is he from?
What is his background?
And don't let on.
Don't be your typical snarky self.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Please don't do that.
Ask him specifically, what exactly does he do?
What is the position?
What is the position of this?
And in view of the $1.7 trillion omnibus fund, The bill?
Ask them what exactly is going to be done regarding border security in this country versus other countries.
Would you like me?
Could you fill me in on that one?
Would you let me in on why is, for example, $410 million going to...
Border security for Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Oman.
Where does this work?
What does the National Border Patrol security have to say about this?
Anything?
Have you followed that one?
Would you explain this one to me?
While everybody, including Jim Jordan, talks about this January the 6th committee, remember, Different plates.
I use that analogy many, many times, and you know I've done it before.
But when I was a kid, there was a show called The Ed Sullivan Show.
You might have heard of it.
And it was always Sunday nights, and it always meant the same thing.
It meant, oh, tomorrow's school.
Got to get that homework done.
That's what it meant.
And there was a fellow named...
Eric, I think it was Brin, B-R-I-N-N, and he had this stick, and he would spin these plates, these plates that he would spin.
And he'd get as many plates going in bowls, and he'd spin them like this, and they would all be slowing down, and he'd have to go up and go like this and spin them.
And he had to get as many plates going at the same time.
And you have to go back sometimes to keep them going.
And that's kind of the way most conversations are.
You talk about multiple subjects and you've got to go back sometimes and pick up where we left off.
Most people cannot do that.
Most people cannot multitask.
Americans can't.
Because of our education.
We don't do that.
We don't like to know things.
We don't like big words.
We don't like history.
We don't like literature.
We don't like speaking.
We don't like writing.
We don't like communicating.
We don't like vocabulary and the ability to explicate and limb and to describe.
We don't like history.
We don't like reference.
We don't like it.
We don't like it.
We just like to react.
And one of the things right now that people love is this January 6th stuff.
Scott Fitzgerald said the sign of a developed mind is being able to handle multiple ideas and multiple thoughts, multiple issues simultaneously without losing your place.
And it's fascinating.
Absolutely fascinating.
And this is something that you have to consider.
This is something that you have to consider and you have to recognize this.
But where does this fit in?
So, going back to what I said, I have a friend of mine.
Here's what I do.
Ask the questions.
Where is Ukraine?
What does Ukraine represent to the United States?
Question number one.
What does Ukraine represent to the United States?
Number one.
Number two, what is the actual position?
What is the goal?
What is the thought?
What is the plan of one Vladimir Putin?
What does he want?
Is he an expansionistic?
Tyrant?
A despotic leader?
A man who wants to reassemble the Soviet Union?
Who thinks that?
I heard yesterday Karl Rove.
I had to get the Yugo cleaned.
It's a stretch, by the way.
We were dive-bombed by a bird that had apparently the most interesting Diet, because there was this fluorescent bird that I had to.
And as I'm trying to find a place and listening, it was Karl Rove, and I couldn't believe what he was saying.
He was saying that Vladimir, notice the way I say it, that Vladimir Putin wanted to reconstitute, reform, reestablish the Soviet Union and wanted to get Poland, he wanted to snatch Poland and expand.
That Russia wants Poland and basically wants to violate and take over NATO countries.
This is, this is, this is, this was Karl Rove.
Let me tell you, so that you remember this, NATO countries right now.
NATO countries.
What is NATO?
NATO is right now 30 members.
Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg.
Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, the UK, and the United States.
30 countries.
And according to Karl Rove, Putin wants to reabsorb these under the Warsaw Pact.
Now, why do I think that's folly?
Well, don't take my word for it.
But Barry Posen, who writes in the influential journal Foreign Affairs, Henry Kissinger, John Mearsheimer, the God.
John Mearsheimer is God.
Jonathan Powell, Noam Chomsky, a fellow named Scott Ritter, who is most interesting.
You've got to read him carefully, but he's very interesting, especially when it comes to Patriot systems and missile batteries and what does this mean.
The late Stephen Cohen, who was a good friend of mine, a great guy, Colonel Douglas McGregor, and George F. Kennan, the dean of America's Russian experts, the man who called NATO expansion in 1997 folly.
This is the...
They are saying, no, no, no, no, no!
Did you hear the list of people that I said?
Do you think they're left-wing?
When Henry Kissinger and Noam Chomsky and Mearsheimer and who?
What?
What?
Thank you.
Where do we go to hear this in this country?
I don't know.
Where do you go to hear the truth?
I don't know.
Where do you go to hear the truth?
Where?
Where?
How do you know?
What do you do?
Is this something you should worry about?
Look at what happened.
Look at one of the most important things in the world.
The clothing.
Not the t-shirt, but what was this about?
It was Perfect.
Perfect.
Why did he wear those clothes?
Where is he from?
Do you know who Kolomoisky is?
Have you ever researched?
It's a fabulous story.
Kolomoisky, I think he's in Sweden now.
This was kind of like the Rupert Murdoch.
This is Kolomoisky Volodymyr.
Okay, the mystery.
This is...
You can go back and you can read all of these things.
It's just incredible.
You can read all these stories.
Hang on a second.
I've got to respond.
You're missing the point when you don't understand how the theater of war works and how this is.
Now, throughout history, maybe you don't remember this, but we, as you know, normally respond to the suit and the tie.
We respond to the suit and the tie.
The Western, the Western look.
And every now and then somebody's come along, like, for example, Yasser Arafat.
Do you remember?
I think it was 95, perhaps.
Was it 95?
I don't remember.
There was a time in New York where we had the UN General Security.
I think it was 95. I think.
No.
Yeah, maybe.
Anyway, it was the UN Security Council, General Security Council.
The Pope was in town.
Yasser Arafat went to, showed up at Lincoln Center and Rudy Giuliani threw him out.
I said, you can't do this.
And he wanted to bring a gun, a gun, a pistol, a sidearm to the UN.
He goes, you can't do that.
We've had people wearing military types of uniforms.
Castro.
Castro was famous.
Gaddafi, to an extent.
Arafat fatigues.
And then there's Kolomoisky.
Excuse me, Zelensky.
Kolomoisky was the media mogul.
I think servant of the people, whatever, who gave him his show.
Zelensky would be like Martin Sheen.
Because he played the president.
Zelensky played.
And by the way, Solensky's English, I think is better than Biden's.
How do we say this?
So, as we speak, as we speak, this beautiful admixture, this collective theater, Left and right and Americans stopping what they're doing and they're just moving on and asking, what does this have to do with us?
Doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
Two things have happened.
Recognize this.
Number one, the romantic.
The romantic.
This young buck, this Brave centurion standing in front of the Russian war machine.
Brilliant.
The evil, mean, dastardly, you know, the, what am I trying to say?
What am I trying to say?
The Boris Badenov, I will destroy you.
You little, I'll get you little squirrel.
Drago, I will destroy you.
This shoe.
This evil, mean Putin, expansionistic, bloodthirsty, ready to just nuke the world.
That's that story.
And yet, or...
And yet, and yet, interesting pun there, here comes Zelensky, marching forward, looking out, standing before the world, this brave man in his uniform, standing there.
Absolutely one of the greatest pieces of political theater ever.
And the U.S. media, there is no...
Distinction whatsoever between the two.
Nothing.
There is no left and right standing there like this.
Wearing that t-shirt.
Couldn't change.
Didn't change on purpose.
Why?
The message is simple.
I'm straight from the battlefield.
I don't have time for this.
Not to mention I'm a humble Gandhi.
You know, nobody told Gandhi, put on a suit.
No.
This is theater.
Recognize this.
It's perfect.
While the United States is looking at a $1.7 trillion omnibus bill that is incredible.
Hang on a second.
We are worried about our own country, our own world.
And when you send patriot battalions to other countries, do they have the manpower?
Do they have the wherewithal to do this?
Who's going to train these people?
This is...
We are in very...
Dangerous grounds, my dear friend.
Very, very, very dangerous.
Dangerous grounds here.
What is happening?
What are we doing?
What are we...
How are we missing this?
And we're just like this.
Nancy Pelosi goes to Taiwan.
Do we...
What is going to happen?
And in the event somebody somewhere is pushed too far, do you think we have the wherewithal and the gumption?
What is gumption?
I don't even know what this is.
What I do is I speak of something called realpolitik.
Realpolitik refers to enacting or engaging in diplomatic or political policies based primarily on consideration of given circumstances and factors rather than strictly binding itself to explicit ideological notions or moral and ethical premises.
It's a system of politics and principles based on practical rather than moral or ideological considerations.
I am a child of the 60s.
I remember Vietnam.
I saw.
I missed it.
When I was a junior in high school, they stopped selective service.
It was right at that moment.
I missed it.
Had my parents been successful earlier in my conception, And the thing that we did not know, that Robert McNamara did not, he tried, he didn't know, but later on in the fog of war, told me in an interview, you have to understand what is the principles behind this.
What do they want?
Do the people want?
Let me ask you something.
In 1962, we went to, theoretically, we're going to go to war with Russia because of missiles that were 90 miles.
90 miles from the coast.
From Florida in Cuba.
90 miles.
We were there.
90!
A mere fraction.
We thought 90 was...
Imagine if on the coast, at the border at Tijuana, not Tijuana, please don't say that, not Tijuana, Tijuana, T-I-J-U-A-N-A, Tijuana.
But imagine right there, there was China, there was a military installation right there.
Do you think, do you think we would say, now what should we do?
What should we do?
Would the rest of the world look at us and say, there they go, the Americans again, expansionistic.
Excuse me, they're on our border.
Excuse me, who are you?
Mexico is not yours.
That's theirs.
That's a sovereign country.
Excuse me, we have the Monroe Doctrine.
We have the whole Western Hemisphere covered.
Nobody's explaining this.
Do you not see this?
My dear friends, this is nothing but gorgeous.
Gorgeous, I say, this, this, this, and it has nothing to do with Putin.
Apologists and all of this stuff.
In fact, I give you, I ask you, I beseech, I implore, I importune you to follow me because I go into much, much greater detail.
I'm rather limited in my ability to go into detail here, but on my private channel, I do this.
Okay?
Now, follow me there.
This is...
Brilliant.
And you must understand the role of NATO.
You must understand Soviet containment.
There is no Soviet Union.
How do we work?
What do we do?
Who are these people?
Is it NATO?
Where did it come from?
What is the Maidan?
What is Donetsk?
What is Lugansk?
What is the Donbass?
What are we doing?
Why is this of any interest?
And is there any chance of Ukraine becoming a member of NATO?
NATO has said no.
Same thing goes for the EU.
So what are we doing?
What are they doing?
And in the event this thing goes hot, what do you expect this country or any country to do?
What do you want?
Do you want to be involved in a...
And an action with a nuclear...
This isn't Grenada.
A nuclear firepower.
A substantial.
I promise you.
And I know my friend, my good friend who flies the Ukrainian flag.
I know he has no clue as to what he is doing.
Now I must say something to you right now.
I must say two things that are important to you.
Number one.
I must talk to you about my dear friends at MyPillow.
Because you know what?
If you ever wanted to go and put your pillow over your head and just hide from everything, there's no better place than a MyPillow pillow to put over your head.
To say, you know what?
I'm going to be ensconced and to bathe myself in this bed with the percales, with the geezer dreams wearing my MyPillow clothing.
Promo code Lionel.
Promo code Lionel.
Wearing my nightwear, my sleeping cap, all of my clothes, my equipment, my sleeping kit as I seek slumber.
That's what I do.
With MyPillow.com.
Right now, my friends, go right now to MyPillow.com slash Lionel, promo code Lionel, or call 800-645-4965.
And let me also tell you, as we talk about these terrible, terrible times and terrible, terrible things involving...
I'm sorry to say this, but things like EMPs and battles and...
Problems.
We must talk about something which is so critical, and you know it's true, and that is emergency food.
And my Patriot Supply, loved by millions, provides right now, for the first time, a special of specials.
You can save $250 on a three-month supply kit.
2,000 calories, breakfast, lunches, dinner, snacks, drinks, per person.
Food kits that have a 25-year shelf life.
There is nothing like it.
And that's why I implore you to go to preparewithlionel.com for you and your family to build up supplies when you need them.
When you need them.
This is serious, serious business.
And I'm sorry to do this, and I'm sorry.
But I can think of nothing better to implore you to purchase and to be aligned with rather than other things which are nice.
You know, colognes are nice, and sporting wear is nice.
But this can save your life.
PrepareWithLionel.com PrepareWithLionel.com I wish we had better things to talk about, my friends, but we don't.
I also want you to make sure you please or you sign up for Mrs. L's newsletter.
It is a dandy.
An absolute dandy.
We put one together that is just incredible.
Incredible.
Which is important.
Excellent, excellent, excellent.
And I appreciate that.
And I also appreciate the fact that you must be Very, very overwhelmed with things.
Very, very, very overwhelmed.
And it's very difficult for you.
And I know you're constantly saying, let me go here and watch this.
Let me go to this show.
It's up to you.
You're on your own.
You are an autodidact right now.
And I'm telling you, believe it or not, In order for you to understand what is happening, you must understand history.
And I promise you, if you want to spend some time, watch any, watch any, any lecture from John Mearsheimer.
Watch anyone.
More than the most important, get an idea, get a version of this.
And see what's happening.
To understand and grasp this, I promise you, in order to do so, in order for you to really grasp what is happening, I beg you to become an autodidact.
Okay?
That's all.
I beg you, beg you, to understand what is happening here.
And this is not A joke?
It is very difficult to understand how can the left and the right both be so confused?
That's a very good question.
A very good question that I ask.
Alright, my friends.
You have a great and a glorious day.
Please, I'm going to say one more time.
If you like some really good stuff and you want to kind of go underground, so to speak, don't forget to follow me.
Follow me.
At my...
How do I say this?
They'll be good.
To my particular site, my private channel, which is a doozy right there.
This way I can talk about things in a more, dare I say, adult way.
Also, I want to see you on January the 14th at the Cutting Room in New York City.
Believe me, not only to meet me and take pictures and just sit for two hours plus of the greatest event of your life, but also to meet other like-minded people.
My friends, have a great and a glorious day.
Thank you so much for watching.
Don't ever change me that sincerely.
See you tomorrow.
Same bad time.
Same bad channel.
9 a.m. Eastern.
And until then, remember, the monkey's dead.
The show's over.
Sue ya.
