First, let me read it to you in two parts, because you always have to read the statute.

Part A. Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or with the intent to do so, takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book,
paper, document, or other thing, Filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States or in any public office or with any judicial or public officer of the United States shall be fined under this title and imprisoned no more than three years or both.
Now let me just tell you this much.
If you can find anyone who has ever been prosecuted I mean, think about this.
There was one case, do you remember when Sandy Berger, Sandy Berger, there were classified statements, you know.
Somebody goes into a courthouse?

I mean, according to this statute, a courthouse.
Anything filed with any clerk or officer or any court of the United States, anything, you go in and you decide, I'm going to take that parking ticket from my file.
