Sometimes kids don't understand what adults think they're saying.
In English, let me try this in English.
Sometimes adults...
Think that what they're saying or presenting, sometimes in a movie or a message or some kind of theoretical depiction of something, to the adult it makes a lot of sense.
But to a child it can be terrifying.
I'm going to explain what that means in greater detail.
But first, a word from our sponsor.
Alright my friend, listen and listen good.
Studies and research have shown Many anti-aging supplements found on store shelves try to capitalize on that, but as you can imagine, most of them fall short.
And this is because they fail at targeting the root of the problem.
The newest trend in anti-aging supplements is collagen.
Research shows a good collagen supplement can help make their hair stronger, And the skin more youthful while supporting healthy joints, bone, and gut health.

Listen carefully.
Sometimes kids don't understand things.
A little background.
I don't know how old you are, but in my generation, we had these, well, these things that we saw in our terms of art.
For example, I remember one time seeing, and I can remember seeing this, it was Old Yeller.
It was with my parents and my sister, you know, were there.
I can remember this.
And I'm looking at this dog.
This dog they love.
Old Yeller.
They love the dog.
Now something's wrong with the dog.
He's hydrophobic.
Rabid.
I didn't understand what the notion of this was.
This thing is just foaming.
This loving dog, he's yelling alright with this rabid, frenetic psychopathy.
Canine psychopathy.
In any event.
During the course of this, I looked at my father and I said, They're not going to shoot this thing, are they?
And I asked a question I thought was pretty good.
Why don't they take him to the vet?
Now, I don't know anything about dogs and when they become this rabid and when they are completely affected by this.
But I couldn't understand it.
And all I know is this loving dog that one minute they were petting and now they're shooting it because it's sick.
Now it made no sense to me.
Because I was a kid.
Another example.
Years ago I was, don't ask me why, but I happened to be in a theater when lo and behold what was there of all things was the movie Home Alone.
Macaulay Colby.
Remember that?
Home Alone.
Seemed like a kind of a funny story, right?
And I'm listening to this kid next to me talking to its parents.
And the kid says, they're coming home, right?
They didn't just leave this kid, did they?
And I thought to myself, what is a just indescribable, inexplicable, horrible fear of a child?
Abandonment.
Abandonment.
Now, whoever did this, whoever put this together, never thought of that.
Never said, well, it's, you know.
No.
It was an adult film, but kids don't get it.
Do you remember Bambi?
You know what happens to Bambi, don't you?
Dumbo, Mother in a Cage.
I saw The Bear one time.
I think I was a...
I don't know when the hell I saw that.
I was certainly an adult.
I almost lost it.
You see, kids don't understand things.
Kids don't understand things.
And what kids really don't understand is the notion of the clown.
See, a lot of people don't understand clowns and what clowns are.
They're scary.
It's called coolrophobia, fear of clowns.
They're not funny.
They're scary.
Their mouths are accentuated.
The Joker frowns.
Emmett Kelly?
Was this supposedly loving?
Am I supposed to feel some kind of an attachment to this thing?
What is this?
With the nose and the hair and the big shoes and they were always exaggerated?
Kids freaked out with clowns.
Clowns are not necessarily what, you know, they go out, blah.
Remember the red skeleton?
Or red skeleton, as people would say.
We'll cut to the chase.
Now, my friends, I believe in music.
I believe in love.
Sorry.
Little Mac Davis there.
I believe that there has always been, in our society, an appreciation for the ability of men to act like women in either drag or in productions from the time of Shakespeare to Pasty Pudding to this and that to Some Like It Hot to Milton Berle, Flip Wilson, you name it.
Okay?
There's nothing There's nothing mysterious about it.
There are, and I have seen, depictions, men dressed as women that are, I promise you, you would never be able, if indeed camouflage or deception is the goal, you would never, ever Believe what you saw.
Period.
End of discussion.
Do you hear me?
So I have an appreciation for that.
When kids are subjected to people, men, dressed as women, In what appears to be almost not an appreciation,
dare I say, for the more genteel aspects of the pageantry of drag, but almost a kind of a quasi, like Halloween meets a John Waters nightmare when kids are there and somebody comes up and forces.
You know, latex, you know, synthetic, whatever, and kids with hair like this, and big platform shoes, and gaudy wife.
It's like the clown.
Kids don't know what this is.
And parents are thinking, what is this?
What are you trying to say?
What's the...
Kids don't process this.
Look, adults can do whatever you want.
Who is responsible for this?
Who is it who came along and said, you know what?
Now that we're in power, now is about time that we introduce kids in public schools and libraries, or libraries as some people say, to drag events.
This is great.
They're going to love this.
This is terrific.
Let's make them see this.
Let's let them feast their eyes on seven foot tall, huge, gargantuan, almost like...
Look, when you look at Kiss, Gene Simmons, Clown Posse, and certain Kabuki, this is scary stuff.
And what I don't understand is, if your goal is to somehow normalize, to acclimate, to introduce this alternative lifestyle, if you will, to kids, why are you scaring them?
Why are you scaring them?
I don't understand the purpose behind this.
Is there any thought involved in this?
And I'm not talking about anything involving the sexual mores, the moral message.
I'm not saying that.
I'm not bringing that up.
This is not a conservative point of view.
I'm merely bringing this up as a person who thinks of kids, who thinks of children, who thinks of what they might be afraid of.
What might frighten them?
What they might understand?
The old yeller effect.
Where adults say, well this is terrific.
There are sometimes people who mean no harm who are frightening.
Something happens.
Have you ever noticed somebody, maybe you've seen this, you have an office party, it's a Halloween party, and all of a sudden somebody, there's this thing where people become the persona of The costume.
Look, I'm a vampire.
Have you ever seen the, dare I say, the mousy secretary in HR or accounting who, not even after a few drinks, but puts on the Barbarella, Vamparella outfit and all of a sudden she turns into some kind of a hellcat.
And you think, is that Mary Jo?
My God!
Something happened.
It happens to people.
It's weird.
And that's fine for adults.
But kids?
How is this going to...
What message is being taught here?
How are people affected?
How is anybody benefited from this?
I ask you a very simple question.
I ask you, how does this benefit?
Does this improve the life?
Does this sharpen the keen perspective of children?
