I have been in the business of professional commentary.
I guess this is my 35th year, so to speak.
And we have been talking about guns and crime and murder.
And how to address this throughout every year of my collective involvement in this endeavor, and even before that.
And the problem is easy.
I know that sounds odd, and I'm not trying to in any way joke about this, but it's easy.
And the first key, the first indication, or the first, I should say, Requirement of dealing with this is to talk about the issue and not talk about anything else.
What is the issue?
What is it all about?
I will tell you.
But first, first, this most important and critical message from our sponsor.

Okay, my friend.
Let's get down to business.
Let's talk about the motivation for crime.
Alright?
It's a very simple thing.
It's a very, very simple thing.
Very, very simple.
What is the motivation of our crime?
Well, the first thing we have to do is figure out, well, what crime are we talking about?
Well, let's talk about the usual spate of cases involving shooting.
Schools and otherwise.
Horrible cases.
Somebody gets a gun.
And start shooting innocent people.
How do we stop that?
How do we address this?
What do we do?
How do we fix it?
Well, the first thing is we look at this and we say, what is this?
And we try to absent from the discussion this monumentally insane, for lack of a better word, this insane, irrelevant Usual foray into the inane.
What am I trying to say?
What did that mean just now?
I don't know.
It means simply this.
Let's take the case.
First, when somebody decides to take a weapon and to go to a school and kill people, students, students, this is what they wanted, To do this.
This was the person's goal.
This was his intention.
Always a he.
Normally of a particular age range.
I'm not sure about the demographic, but I think we might be surprised that maybe it indeed is somebody who is a non-person of color.
Who knows?
It seems like it's always a white person.
What does that mean?
I don't know.
It's always a male.
What does that mean?
I don't know.
Certain crimes have certain things.
Most crimes are committed by men.
But anyway, why did they want to do this?
Well, oftentimes, the person who did it is dead, kills themselves, or killed by police.
But if we could sit down and see, what was your intention?
So that we can better understand why you did this.
They will tell you.
That they knew it was wrong, they knew it was against the law, but they wanted either to make some demonstrative, lunatic-like reference, to go out, I don't want to say go out with a bang, that sounds terrible, but to go out to make some effort because they are mad at the school, mad at a parent, mad at somebody.
Now, stop right there.
Other people have been mad.
Other people have had the exact same precise feeling of frustration or anger.
They didn't kill anybody.
And they could.
Even people with guns.
Even people who have guns.
Many guns.
Or knives.
People who could stab.
It's very easy to stab people.
You walk into a place, even easier.
And you stab them.
But they don't do that.
Why?
Answer the question.
Why?
We don't know.
Now, we oftentimes, and there was a wonderful article I read today about, one of many, talking about the plight and the problems of mental illness.
Ah, yes.
Mental illness.
This is what we call everything.
They're mentally ill.
They're crazy.
These people are crazy.
Are they?
I don't think they're crazy at all.
Because the definition of mental illness is somebody who was...
Primarily psychotic.
Not somebody who has rage issues or not somebody who is depressed, neurotic.
No, somebody who's psychotic.
Somebody who has a lapse between reality.
And I submit to you, they're not crazy.
They're not crazy.
They do things...
Which we, in a vernacular, refer to as crazy.
We call it crazy.
That's what we call it.
But it's not crazy.
Well, what is it?
I'm not helping you with this, am I?
We're not done yet.
Let's look at other countries.
Are there other countries that have more guns?
Well, for a country with 325 million people, who knows, it changes.
We have about 400 million guns.
We have more guns.
Firearms in people.
Other countries, I think, may have more.
It depends.
They may not have as many guns per capita, but there are other countries that have more gun crimes per capita.
El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, you know, the Bahamas.
I mean, you'd be surprised.
Does that help us at all?
No.
Mexico?
Oh, they have automatic weapons.
Semi-automatic?
Assault weapons?
Oh, God, yes.
In fact, we really don't have, many times you'll never hear about a really automatic weapon.
You have semi-automatic.
An automatic is just, you know, you pull the trigger and it just empties.
It just keeps firing one after another until the magazine is empty.
But they don't.
Have this kind of crime because what they do is their crime tends to be that which involves, this is important, which involves drugs, territory, turf, you know, revenge, whatever you want to call it.
That's what they do.
That's their thing.
Ours is different.
Why?
Because we're crazy?
Well, I don't know if we're crazy, but we do that here.
They don't do that.
There are countries that have people, women, boys, girls, well, not girls, boys, but younger people who have, again, in Israel and Switzerland, where by virtue of military service, military-grade weapons are all over the place.
They don't do this.
Don't they get frustrated?
Don't they have problems with boyfriends and girlfriends and teachers and the like and authority?
Don't they do this?
Don't they?
Don't they, in essence, go and have these things?
Well, apparently not.
That's ours.
Ours is different.
And what we do also is we take people who involve themselves in this and after they're done, We decide, after they do this, we decide to glorify them and lionize them.
Almost kind of a post-criminal apotheosis.
This elevation, beatification of this, we know who they are and what their story is and where they're from and what they do and their likes and dislikes and what the neighbor always says, you know, loner kept to himself and all of this nonsense and that's exactly what we, that's what we do.
That's what we do.
I've often said, why do we have pictures of these people?
Why can't we just Why can't we just refuse to show their picture?
So, whatever promise of notoriety and fame that is made to this person by virtue of the authority of fame attributed and provided to other people, that prior review or that prior exaltation and publicity Added to this happening.
So it all is cumulative.
Okay?
So now we're still not getting any better.
What about the amount of...
Does the weapon matter?
Of course it matters.
It does matter.
The type of weapon matters.
Don't you think so?
Don't you think?
I mean, difference between a knife and a gun, and a.22 and a.38, and a pistol versus a rifle, and yeah!
I'm not going to get away with it.
Sure, that matters.
Of course it is.
But you see, here's the thing.
And here's what I'm getting at.
We have had guns, and by the way, this notion of assault weapons is so stupid.
We've had these from day one.
And we've had, we used to have gun clubs.
We used to have People who would bring their.22 rifles on their bike to school because on their way home they'd go, you know, not duck hunting, but deer hunting or squirrel hunting or whatever it was.
And nobody ever thought about shooting anybody then.
But we do now.
What happened?
It's us.
The reason why we do this, the reason why you see this here, It's because of us.
There was a case of a, you saw it maybe today or recently, of this wedding in, I forget where it was, Kazakhstan or something, and the husband, this was a wedding, the groom hauls off and slugs this woman because of some particular reason.
Now, I would venture to say, it could very well be, that in that particular population, slugging your wife is not something that is that rare.
I don't know.
We don't do this in public, thank God.
Now, granted, nobody died because of it, but that was a cultural thing.
Nobody ever wants to talk about this.
Because the American culture is something that is really different.
And we don't have any rules.
Now, the bottom line is this.
You know and I know.
Come on.
You know and I know that the Democratic Party in particular, the Pelosi crowd and the woke crowd and the Jerry Nadlers and the left since day one.
And we're going to use that term left just for purposes of short end.
Have been wanting to get rid of guns.
They hate guns.
They hate guns and gun owners.
And they just...
They hate them.
And they have provided so many depictions of the gun owner.
The person with penis envy and the man who's this demented, repressed, ideologically, Demented.
Okay.
You got the point.
And they love to hate.
You've got to hate somebody.
You have to have somebody to hate.
You have to have somebody to hate.
And it's a...
It's just...
It's the same thing we see right now with Right to Lifers and Roe Against Wade protesters.
They hate each other.
Now they are of the opinion that somehow Through some legislation, through some, I don't know, that guns are going to be removed.
That guns are somehow going to be removed and that guns, particularly assault weapons, are going to disappear by virtue of statutes and, even though they don't really believe this, crime will go down and these type of deaths will go down because of the fact that these Horrible, horrible instruments of death have been removed.
You know that's not going to happen.
You know that.
So what's their point?
What do they want to do?
Well, the argument has always been that the left, again we use this term as shorthand, the left wants to disenable, to remove the ability of individuals to protect themselves and to resist and revolt against a rapacious,
Violent, insurrectionist-esque, rogue, tyrannical regimes that want to remove our liberties and the like.
That what the American would probably need against an army is something that's kind of army-like, that's military-like, and assault-weapon-like, and that's the reason for the Second Amendment, etc., etc., etc.
And we can go through this.
But they've been at this forever.
And they always say, you know, do you need this?
You don't need this gun.
Excuse me, the Second Amendment has nothing to do with needing this right here.
This wonderful document, this Second Amendment, in this Constitution, has nothing to do with what I need.
The Second Amendment provides you the right for well-regulated militia and the right to bear arms if you need, if you can show to somebody that you need this.
They're making stuff up.
Red flag laws.
Red flag laws are very interesting.
Red flag laws are statutes and provisions that will allow a government to remove a firearm from the home or the possession or the vicinity of somebody who, by virtue of some kind of mental illness, is unable to possess these firearms and these weapons.
And I mean in theory it may kind of make sense except that we don't know exactly what it means by mental illness.
PTSD?
Depression?
An American veteran who served his or her country?
You're going to deny them the right to possess a firearm?
They're right because of PTSD, which they contracted, if you will, by virtue of said military service.
So, again, straying somewhat from the initial question, the question was, why do people do this?
How do you stop it?
It's very, very simple.
First, you have to understand there are people who do things because they're so strictly American, and there's never, ever going to be any way.
To prevent people from doing this.
But when it comes to the notion of schools, this is what you do.
And it's very simple.
It's a three-pronged rule.
Very simple.
Three elements.
Number one.
Metal detectors.
Number two.
One entrance.
Ingress.
Egress.
That's it.
You go in.
You go out.
You go back.
You go forth.
That's it.
And number three, an armed guard.
A very scary, a very formidable, a very demonstratively scary, well-armed, supremely armed, perhaps retired, maybe active military law enforcement who are there just to protect children.
That's what you do.
And nobody's talking about that.
You make The school's safe.
Because the answer, my friend, is you're not going to be able to stop this insanely American nut stuff that makes us crazy.
You're not going to be able to do that.
It's not going to happen, so don't think it is.
It's not.
And also, don't worry about gun laws.
Worry more about murder laws, which apparently nobody's paying attention to.
And also, recognize the fact that mental health Abilities and outreach in some cases could help.
I don't know this particular case, because remember, sometimes there are people who have never...
Remember, there are people who...
Most people do not commit gun offenses.
Most people.
Most people are not serial killers.
Most people are not rapists.
Most people don't do this.
But what this is being done, is being used, is a political pretext by the left, by the woke radical left, to take your guns away.
