Hey everybody, Laura Loomer here. | |
| I'm running for Congress as a Republican in Florida's 21st congressional district against Lois Frankl. | ||
| I wanted to inform you about some very disturbing efforts that were made by Democrat elected officials here in District 21 over the last week. | ||
| As you know and as you've seen on the news, violent riots have erupted around the nation, even making their way to West Palm Beach over the last week and a half in response to the death of George Floyd. | ||
| In response to these violent riots here in District 21, Democrat mayor of West Palm Beach, Keith James, passed a state of emergency. | ||
| And under his state of emergency, and you may not have heard about this because the media didn't really do such a great job of informing you about this, but he banned the sale of firearms, he banned the sale of ammunition, and he made it a crime for people to carry firearms into a public place, which is a total violation of your Second Amendment right and a total violation of the rights of concealed carry permit holders. | ||
| Like I said, the media did not do a good job of reporting on this matter. | ||
| They turned a blind eye to it. | ||
| They turned a blind eye to this blatant violation of your constitutional rights. | ||
| And people like Lois Frankel, your congresswoman, also turned a blind eye. | ||
| And instead of sticking up for law-abiding citizens in the district and law-abiding gun owners, she took to Twitter instead to thank the violent rioters who destroyed property and shut down traffic on I-95, posting a thank you to the protesters, even after many of them set fire to a best-buy in Palm Beach County, blocked traffic, and vandalized businesses on Clemata Street. | ||
| This is the type of representation that you are receiving from these Democrat officials here in District 21. | ||
| These are the same people who are rallying around progressive leftists who are calling to defund the police. | ||
| What do you think is going to happen if you defund the police? | ||
| Who's going to protect you if you have Democrat officials not only defunding your police, but also disarming you and banning the sale of guns, violating your Second Amendment right to protect yourself, your property, and your family during a time of crisis? | ||
| No one's going to be there to protect you. | ||
| Lois Frankl isn't going to be there to protect you. | ||
| And so if you're as outraged over this as I am, well, I encourage you to support my congressional campaign because as your congresswoman, I will never infringe upon your Second Amendment right and you will never see me taking to the internet to praise violent Antifa terrorists and Black Lives Matter rioters. |
