I am done with professional sports.
I think you guys should be too.
And as long as these leagues are going to support a movement that's anti-police, anti-Trump, and anti-America, I'm going to be trading this hat for this one here.
I'm sure like myself, a lot of you watching this are die-hard sports fans, whether it comes to baseball, football, hockey, or even college sports.
I'm sure a lot of you have always looked at sports as a getaway from all of life's problems.
It was supposed to be the one escape where you wouldn't find issues such as politics bogging you down in everything you do.
Sports was supposed to be the one form of entertainment that you as an American could actually rely on to help you escape from all those problems so you could sit back and enjoy your team.
But now in the year 2020, it seems like sports are now on their deathbed.
So it all started back in early March or April when the pandemic hit and virtually every single sports league in the country decided to postpone the remainder of their season.
And it took them nearly half a year to even get back on the field.
Now you would think that a lot of sports fans after being in quarantine for so long would be really eager to watch their teams once again.
But the reality hasn't been quite that this year.
Instead, it's been the complete opposite.
Because once sports came back, suddenly no fans were allowed in the stands.
Suddenly, basketball was playing in an empty gymnasium where instead of having fans, they had people on a Zoom call in the background.
Major League Baseball started putting up cardboard cutouts of fans in the stands.
And Fox Sports even took it so far as to put digital fans in the stands to replace you, the real fan.
But their utter disrespect for people like you didn't just stop there with their response to the pandemic.
Instead, they took it a lot further and all of these leagues decided that they would collectively get political against President Donald Trump and his supporters.
Now we can rewind the clock four years to see where this all started.
It all started with a well-known quarterback at this point named Colin Kaepernick who decided to take a knee in defiance of police saying that he stood with black people that were oppressed by the blue uniform.
Now back at this time in 2016, he stood alone.
He stood alone.
There were not a lot of players that would kneel with him.
But now in the year 2020, so many athletes are kneeling for the anthem that it's become an act of defiance if you stand for it.
When the NBA started back up last month, there was a player on the Orlando Magic who stood alone in standing for the national anthem and he got mercilessly attacked.
And what this man say?
He said that he was not going to kneel for any man besides Jesus Christ.
And he got attacked for this.
He got attacked for standing for the national anthem.
Then the next nail in the coffin for professional sports was when the National Basketball Association decided to paint Black Lives Matter on the basketball court and gave all their athletes Black Lives Matter jumpsuits to wear before the games.
Because somehow Black Lives just, I guess, didn't exist in the NBA before 2020, even though 75% of the league is black.
How do you make sense of that?
But just a few years back, there were players that wanted to commemorate fallen police officers that were killed in the line of duty and the NFL would not allow them to do that.
But now in 2020, the NFL lets quarterbacks like Drew Brees put Jacob Blake right on his helmet for all to see.
That's okay, but honoring the men and women that protect this country, that's off limits to these sports leagues.
And guys, I have a lot more opinions on this topic that I can't bring to you here on social media because of big tech censorship, which is why you have to go to libertyhangout.tv right now to watch my full uncut and uncensored opinions on this topic and many more.
And then just last week, in the middle of the NBA playoffs, every single team decided that they were not going to play because they wanted to protest what was going on in Kenosha and stand with the rioters that were burning down the city.
And then this didn't even just stop in the NBA.
In fact, baseball teams decided that they too were going to cancel their games to stand with the rioters in Kenosha.
And for me personally, this was the last straw.
When the New York Mets decided that they were not going to get on the field because they were going to stand with people that want to harm me and my family and people who think like me, I said, no, as much as I love baseball, I can't do this anymore.
Baseball has always been my favorite sport.
And I've always every single year tried to watch all 162 Mets games, or at least as many as I possibly could.
That's why what I did next was an incredibly difficult decision because I love watching baseball.
But I was not about to place my entertainment above my dignity and my principles.
If my favorite team was going to stand there alongside people that want to harm me, then I'm not going to stand alongside them.
So here's what I did next.
I sent an email to MLB requesting that they cancel and refund my MLB TV account.
And I emailed them and said, I'm requesting to have my MLB TV account canceled and refunded.
If the MLB is going to cancel games and walk off the field, you are not giving customers what they paid for.
I also would not have signed up had I known MLB would use my funds to support a terrorist organization that has assaulted my wife and threatened to murder my family.
I look forward to your response.
And I was actually very shocked that MLB got back to me and they refunded me all of my money.
Dear Justin, your request for a refund in connection with your 2020 MLB TV yearly subscription has been approved.
A credit in the amount of $121 was submitted on August 31st and will appear on the statement of the credit card that you used to purchase.
I was pretty shocked by this.
I was pretty shocked that they actually gave me my money back.
But I made it clear to them that if you guys are not going to play games, I'm not getting what I'm paying for.
I was paying to watch baseball.
But the teams were deciding that they didn't want to play because standing with a communist organization was way more important to them.
So this is my call to my fellow Americans.
If you are a conservative, if you are a Christian, or if you are simply someone who does not support this widespread violence across the country, it's time to put your money where your mouth is.
It's time to stop watching sports entirely and withdraw your financial support.
It's time to stop valuing our entertainment over our dignity.
We can find entertainment in other ways, but we don't need to sell our souls in order to do it.
That's why I'm calling on you, the American people, to stop funding professional sports.
And maybe finally they will stop supporting these communist organizations.
Right now, they're starting to feel it because their ratings are in the toilet to where even Tucker Carlson and Fox News are getting more viewers than the NBA playoffs.
So if you start withdrawing your financial support from them, they're going to feel it where it hurts the most in their wallets.
So I call on you guys to stand with me and stand with what's right.
And it's time to bankrupt these sports leagues.
If they're not going to stand with us, then why should we stand with them?
