The Left Cancels Black Cartoons
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
We have finally reached peak wokeness here in this country after the left has finally figured out what has been oppressing minorities for all these years.
Black cartoon characters voiced by white people.
This all started the other day when Mike Henry, who is the voice actor of Cleveland Brown on Family Guy and has been for the past two decades, wrote a tweet that says, It's been an honor to play Cleveland on Family Guy for 20 years.
I love this character, but persons of color should play characters of color.
Therefore, I will be stepping down from the role.
You know, if Family Guy really believes that they need to have a black person voice Cleveland Brown because he's a black cartoon character.
I guess that means that they need to hire a dog to voice Brian, and they need to hire a baby to voice Stewie?
That would only be appropriate, right?
They should probably get an obese man to voice Peter Griffin.
Now, strangely enough, playing the role of Cleveland Brown was not really an issue for Mike Henry for 20 whole years because if you go to Google and you type in Mike Henry Networth, you'll see that he's made about 12 million dollars over his lifetime, as that's what his net worth is here today.
12 million dollars.
And this guy says that he's been an R-word for all these decades for playing a black character, and only people of color should be voicing characters like that.
So if Mike Henry is really serious about his newfound virtue here, don't you think he should probably be returning that 12 million dollars?
Then a day later, things really start getting spicy when the Simpsons decided that they were going to follow the lead of Family Guy and do the same thing.
The Simpsons will no longer allow white actors to voice non-white characters.
Very stunning and brave Simpsons.
This article from Brightbart.com says, The Simpsons on Fox will no longer allow white actors to voice non-white roles.
A decision that is likely to impact a range of beloved supporting characters on the long-running animated series, including Dr. Julius Hibbert, Carl Carlson, Judge Roy Snyder, and the Bumblebee Man.
You know what, you know what?
Let's just let's just cancel the entire Simpsons show because I I can't find anyone that truly is yellow.
So we have to cancel the Simpsons.
Where are we going to find the yellow actors?
Now doesn't that sound like discrimination to you?
They're literally admitting right here that we will not let white people have a certain role.
Hmm.
I'm pretty sure we have a civil rights act that kind of prohibits this kind of uh discrimination here.
And I wonder if this will apply to black voice actors.
Are they going to be prohibited from playing white roles, or is it just the other way around here?
I do not think we'd ever come to a point in time where we'd see cartoon characters being taken off the air.
I don't know where society is gonna be heading, but what I do know is that the censorship we're going to see on social media is only going to get worse as a result, and that's why you guys need to sign up right now at Liberty Hangout.tv to be able to get our full uncensored opinions that we would love to bring you right here on Facebook and YouTube, but we can't.

But the lunacy did not just stop there.
Kristen Bell quits playing Central Park's mixed race character Molly to cast racially appropriate character.
Kristen Bell herself went on to say, casting a mixed race character with a white actress undermines the specificity of the mixed race and black American experience.
It was wrong, and we on the Central Park team are pledging to make it right.
She went on to say, I am happy to relinquish this role to someone who can give a much more accurate portrayal, and I will commit to learning, growing, and doing my part for equality and inclusion.
Wow.
I feel so much better.
And the craziness still does not even end at that example.
Big Mouth's Jenny Slate to be replaced by black actor as she steps down from biracial character, Missy.
Now this one is probably the saddest one that I've seen yet because she gave the most pathetic and unnecessary apology that I think I have ever heard from a celebrity.
She said, I acknowledge how my original reasoning was flawed, that it existed as an example of white privilege and unjust allowances made within a system of societal white sh.
And that in me playing Missy, I Was engaging in an act of erasure of black people.
Then this is where her apology gets really pathetic.
Ending my portrayal of Missy is one step in a lifelong process of uncovering the RACISM in my actions.
And then she said, most importantly though, to anyone that I've hurt, I am so very sorry.
Black voices must be heard.
Black lives matter.
Yes, because she was just totally holding people back in this country and holding them down by voicing this cartoon character.
Oh my life is just ruined because of these cartoons.
I think the fact that they are even this bothered by cartoon characters just goes to show how not oppressed Black Lives Matter is in this country that they have to make things up to be offended by.
Now, if you would go to countries like let's say Iran, Iraq, China, we can see some real human rights abuses and some real forms of oppression.
But if you go to the United States where these people cry and cry that they are just so oppressed and held back in society, what are their examples?
Cartoon characters.
You know, guys, I will start taking this initiative seriously when they cancel the movie Air Bud.
Okay.
I just think it's really inappropriate that there was a dog playing basketball.
I've never seen a dog playing basketball in my time.
I think that's really offensive.
And I think that that dog was taking a spot away on the court from some uh poor boy from the uh community.
I don't know, guys.
I don't know where the madness ends.
Leave a comment below if you have any idea because I don't.
