Walmart Sells Out

Time Text
Walmart has just announced their stunning and brave new policy of banning openly carrying firearms in their store.
They're also banning the sale of ammunition.
We're going to go inside and we're going to see how many items they still sell today that contribute to far more deaths than firearms do every year.
We're going to go inside and we're going to go inside and we're going to go inside and we're going to go inside.
That's a lot of alcohol.
Aren't kids eating these?
I wonder if we need a background check to get one of these.
So they can ban openly carrying guns in their stores, but they can't ban pictures of guns.
You can get this shirt at Liberty Hangout.org.
Wow.
When are they gonna start you know banning cars because that contributes to more deaths and firearms every year?
The number one leading cause of death in the United States is heart disease.
And what contributes to heart disease?
Cholesterol, high blood sugar, unhealthy eating, candy.
And by God, is there a lot of candy in this store?
And it's all open.
They're open carrying candy, but it's the number one leading cause of death in the United States.
How dare you, Walmart?
My name is Kyle, and I have a monster energy drink here.
There's 180 milligrams of sodium, 27 grams of carbs, 27 grams of sugars.
This just doesn't seem like it's really good for you.
All of these drinks right here have contributed to far more deaths than firearms, but there's a lot of them out here, and even kids can get a hold of them.
I don't know, it seems pretty dangerous.
And we all know that spoons are making people fat.
So Walmart, should you really be selling a four-pack for 94 cents?
Get these background checks on.
So according to the CDC, the number of children that died by poisoning right here is a lot of chemicals, a lot of things that poison children every year.
5,166 children died because of poisoning.
Now let's talk about firearms.
1,994.
Kids can come by and touch all of these right up.
It's right out in the open.
Why aren't we banning them?
Aren't kids eating these?
Or are they still doing that?
According to the CDC, within the last 19 years, more children have died from bicycle accidents than accidents including a firearm.
but here they are on display for any child to pick out which one they would like to ride and die from we're not even going to talk about the irony of this we're not We're not gonna talk about it.
According to the Uniform Crime Report in 2017, 467 people were killed with blunt objects, which includes baseball bats, hammers, and other blunt objects.
As you can see, there are tons of blunt objects right up there for anybody to buy that compares to 403 people that died from rifles.
I wonder if you need a background check to get one of these.
What do you think, sir?
Walmart, this entire section needs to go.
It's not auto care.
You know what cars are doing to people in this country.
Every single year, more people die in car accidents than they do from firearms.
So not only do they have tires to put on these awful death machines, but they have oil to put in them.
They have windshield washer fluid, they have rims, they have accessories that you can put in your car.
Why?
In the United States, four times as many people are stabbed than they are shot.
Oh man, this isn't looking too good.
There's so many you can choose from.
This is 88 cents.
Look at all of these assault knives hanging out everywhere.
Every year, more than 40,000 Americans die from drug overdoses from opioids that are sold right here in this pharmacy.
And it's getting worse every single year.
Take a stand, Walmart.
The CDC states that 88,000 Americans die every year from alcohol related deaths.
and that's a lot of alcohol Someone should really let Walmart know about texting and driving.
It's not very safe.
So a lot of cool, really cute poll accessories behind me.
But does Walbert know that between the years of 1999 and 2017, 17,000 children died from pole-related accidents, like drowning.
What are you doing, Walmart?
Walmart.
A lot of people don't know this, but one fifth of all ammunition sales in the US is actually from Walmart themselves.
And they have openly said that they want to reduce that number of sales.
And I don't understand.
Maybe Walmart doesn't get it, maybe someone hasn't told Walmart.
But decreasing the availability of people to buy ammunition to protect themselves with a firearm isn't gonna solve anything in this country.
It's gonna leave people defenseless.
It's gonna leave people without any options of buying ammunition to protect their home or to protect their kids, to protect their wives, their pregnant wives, everything that they use a handgun to defend themselves.
Almost three million lives are saved every year due to defensive use of firearms.
That is a real statistic that someone needs to sit down and tell Walmart.
Continue the ammunition sales, let people open carry in your stores.
Yes, you can still conceal carry inside of Walmart, which is great.
A lot of people prefer to do that over openly carrying.
But a reason I'm an advocate for open carry and why I think Walmart should reinstate that policy is because open openly carrying a firearm actually normalizes gun ownership.
It lets people see, hey, that guy has a handgun on his hip.
He's not doing anything bad.
I feel safe with it there.
If we ostracize and tell people that they can't open carry because they might scare somebody, well, guess what?
My rights don't end where your feelings begin.
And we should normalize gun ownership in this country, and it starts with people openly carrying their firearms and showing everybody that it's normal to protect yourself.
It's absolutely normal to want to defend your life and the lives of your children.
