Just come from England, so we brought our flag with us.

We were lucky to be able to come at this time of year, so yes.

Where'd you guys come from today to come here?

Uh well we've spent a week in the Capitol to visit, share with our kids what summer uh would be like here.
And uh got on a plane and came up from Florida to spend the fourth of July in the nation's capital.

Because Trump invited us last February and I said I'm going.

So uh sometimes they don't have the answers.

Tell me, and I can tell you why I support the president.

Trump, of course, and the parade and the military experience.

So what are you guys Trump supporters?
Uh real.
It's like, come on, yeah, we are.

I'm a Trump supporter, uh, but I'm an American first.
It isn't just about Trump, but it's about America.
But yeah, I would say I'm a Trump supporter in the current day because he's the president of our country and I support America.
He's not as bad as people make him seem to be.
He's not as bad as the media makes him to seem to be, you know.
Because I mean ration all the time.
Why do you think that is?
They try because it's controlled now.
They're trying to win an election out in 2020.
Aren't they?
I mean, they're basically trying to win an election, and they're trying to get all these liberal media stuff.
Trump's also a good negotiator too.
He's just he's just gonna negotiating with other people.
I mean he's doing good in North Korea right now.
Economy's great.
Jobs are great.
Um I mean that's that's about the main thing, Sam.
If you had to give him any criticisms, what would you say?
Criticism for Trump.

Are you a Donald Trump supporter?

What's the biggest thing that makes you support President Trump?
He's just done so much for the economy already.
Um I really think we do need the wall.
He's very much for guns and things like that as well.
He just seems to really be out there and getting stuff done rather than just sit back and see what can we do.
He's a go-getter.
So this is the beginning of the parade.

Okay, so you're Australian and you're wearing Trump's logo, his slogan on your hat.
I just needed a hat.

So what what don't you like about him?
Um he doesn't act like a president.

And he's arrogant.

Um, not really.
I think probably the most impressive thing that I saw was his response to the Iran deal.
I really appreciated the fact that uh his value on human life in that instance.
His statement was that he chose not uh chose to not have intense military reaction to the fact that they shot no one of our drones because the loss of human life would have been uh far greater than he wanted, and I I personally really appreciated the fact that he valued human life and that was more important than flexing American muscle or anything else.
That was probably uh one of the things I enjoyed the most.
Why do you support President Trump?
Uh I just believe in some of his uh business policies.

Do you uh is there anything about free speech or firearms or the economy?
What's most important to you?
The economy, and he's done a lot of great things for the economy.
Unemployment is way down.
Yeah.
And so I support that 100%.
Why do you support Trump?
Because my dad does.

Because uh you always know where he stands.
He's not afraid to tell you exactly what he what he's feeling, what he thinks.
He's not political, and that's what I think America likes about him.
Why why is the mainstream media lying to us trying to tell us that Trump's not popular, the people don't want him, the Russians did everything.
Once people get into politics anymore, it's a profession.
It's not a service to the community, it's a profession.
If they don't have Trump, then they lose their spot in line for their free stuff.
Um they're gonna lose their money.
That's what they're afraid of.
Um Trump does nothing but help us.
He's he's cut the taxes.
He's increased employment.
And I think he's gonna get elected again just like you said with the rallies.
You have half a dozen people that are protesting against him and then you have thousands that are protesting for him.
And I like him as a president also because I can understand him not like other lingo presidents have, you know, on more layman's term than I can relate to his speaking.
Yeah he's he's blunt.
He's raw he's a real person.
He's not up there polished and trying to be a politician.
It's not because he's a politician it's more he's a businessman.
He's getting things done so that's the the results speak for themselves.
Why do you think it's so important to come here and celebrate this parade?
You know it hasn't happened in a long time in military parade in America.
Why is it so important to you?
Um I just think it's really cool.
I like what Trump's doing.
I think it was fun to come out here.
