Did you come just for this?
Um we yeah, pretty much.
We were lucky to be able to come at this time of year, so yes.
What do you hope to see today?
Just the fourth of July celebrations, that's all.
Okay.
Alright, does it bring back any bad memories?
No.
No for much.
Alrighty, it brings back some good memories for me.
Thank you.
Thank you.
you you We're here in Washington DC where Trump is about to have his 4th of July parade.
Let's see how far people travel to get here and what they're so excited about.
Where'd you guys come from today to come here?
Waco, Texas.
Texas.
Texas.
We're we're together.
Okay.
Did you guys come here from Texas just for this parade?
Just for this day.
Yeah.
We came from Florida.
Florida.
Just for this?
Uh well we've spent a week in the Capitol to visit, share with our kids what summer uh would be like here.
And uh got on a plane and came up from Florida to spend the fourth of July in the nation's capital.
What state did you come from to be here today?
Texas.
Yes, Texas.
Why was it so important to come here today, all the way from Texas?
Support our president.
Celebrate the celebrate July.
America, yeah.
About 6,000 kilometers.
Well, in America, we have no clue what that means.
Um I don't know, it's about 4,500 mines.
Okay, where are you from?
From Austria.
Where'd you travel from to get here today?
Uh I'm from northern Kentucky and I I live in St. Louis now, but I'm working here for the summer.
How far did you guys travel to get here?
I don't even take a picture.
From New Jersey.
We came from Illinois, we traveled on car.
How far did you guys travel to get here today?
Uh North Carolina.
North Carolina.
Just for this?
Yep, just for this.
So how far did you travel to get here today?
From Idaho.
Idaho.
Did you come just for this?
For the week.
Okay.
Are you excited to see what's gonna be on the street today?
I'm intrigued.
Yeah.
I don't know what to expect.
Just come from England, so we brought our flag with us.
Did you come just for this?
Um we yeah, pretty much.
Well we were lucky to be able to come at this time of year, so yes.
What do you hope to see today?
Just the 4th of July celebrations, that's all.
Alright, does it bring back any bad memories?
No.
Not for much.
Not at all.
Alrighty, it brings back some good memories for me.
We are from Belgium.
Oh wow.
Did you come here just for this?
Uh no.
It's it's just uh full trip that we planned some months ago.
California.
What the heck is happening in your state?
I'm I'd be embarrassed too to be from California.
You guys travel from to get here today.
Australia.
Oh, I love Australia.
Oh I love that country so much.
Did you guys come here just for this?
Basically, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Why?
Uh because we thought it'd be a good thing to do.
What state did you guys come from to be here today?
New York.
So where did you guys come from to be here today for the parade?
Indianapolis.
Indiana.
Yeah, in India.
You guys all together?
Yeah.
Okay.
Did you come here just for this?
Yes.
Iowa.
Iowa.
I was just there.
Someone assaulted me.
That is a uh Pete Buddha judge supporter, so we're just gonna put that in there, remind everybody that that did happen.
You walked up!
Facts!
Back on the f so where'd you guys travel from to get here today?
California, yes.
Oh my god, Bay Area, Bay Area, yeah.
Uh Reno, Nevada and Oregon.
You guys came here just for this.
Uh-huh.
Absolutely.
Why would you travel such a long distance to come and see Trump's military parade?
Because Trump invited us last February and I said I'm going.
Okay.
Yeah, and we just wanted to see the Capitol.
Like you always see it on the money, right?
I like money.
Right?
The Democrats have arrived.
It's the clown show 2019.
Well, people believe you can't wear this shirt, but I wear it all the time.
How is it for you wearing that shirt in California?
You know what?
Um I have that attitude that if somebody does say something or bring it up, um I want dialogue.
So like you, I've watched you.
Why am I a why do you call me a And I'm clearly Mexican, you know, I'm Latina.
So uh sometimes they don't have the answers.
They just throw that race word at you.
And I say, well, I want a dialogue with you.
Tell me, and I can tell you why I support the president.
What do you hope to see here today?
Trump, of course, and the parade and the military experience.
And I pray for you a lot.
I see you.
Thank you.
I always see you and I'm concerned for you.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate it.
What do you hope to get out of today?
I just wanna see everything there is to see here.
Maybe see Trump.
So what are you guys Trump supporters?
Uh real.
It's like, come on, yeah, we are.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a Trump supporter, uh, but I'm an American first.
It isn't just about Trump, but it's about America.
But yeah, I would say I'm a Trump supporter in the current day because he's the president of our country and I support America.
He's not as bad as people make him seem to be.
He's not as bad as the media makes him to seem to be, you know.
Because I mean ration all the time.
Why do you think that is?
They try because it's controlled now.
They're trying to win an election out in 2020.
Aren't they?
I mean, they're basically trying to win an election, and they're trying to get all these liberal media stuff.
Trump's also a good negotiator too.
He's just he's just gonna negotiating with other people.
I mean he's doing good in North Korea right now.
Economy's great.
Jobs are great.
Um I mean that's that's about the main thing, Sam.
If you had to give him any criticisms, what would you say?
Criticism for Trump.
Um let's say stop tweeting.
Um it's not a news media outlet, right?
It's it's Twitter.
Are you a Donald Trump supporter?
No.
No, okay, but you still chose to come.
Alright, why?
Because I still like America.
Well, that's not common among the other side there.
What's the biggest thing that makes you support President Trump?
He's just done so much for the economy already.
Um I really think we do need the wall.
He's very much for guns and things like that as well.
He just seems to really be out there and getting stuff done rather than just sit back and see what can we do.
He's a go-getter.
So this is the beginning of the parade.
No, this is the Democrat portion.
Okay, so you're Australian and you're wearing Trump's logo, his slogan on your hat.
I just needed a hat.
Oh, don't say that.
Are you guys supporting Trump?
Do you support him?
No.
Oh.
But you came to his parade?
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Well, I mean, at least hopefully you'll get your minds changed.
So what what don't you like about him?
Um he doesn't act like a president.
Okay.
And he's arrogant.
Arrogant.
Okay.
Anything else?
Any any policies that you don't like?
Um, not really.
I think probably the most impressive thing that I saw was his response to the Iran deal.
I really appreciated the fact that uh his value on human life in that instance.
His statement was that he chose not uh chose to not have intense military reaction to the fact that they shot no one of our drones because the loss of human life would have been uh far greater than he wanted, and I I personally really appreciated the fact that he valued human life and that was more important than flexing American muscle or anything else.
That was probably uh one of the things I enjoyed the most.
Why do you support President Trump?
Uh I just believe in some of his uh business policies.
Yep.
Perfect.
What about you?
Do you uh is there anything about free speech or firearms or the economy?
What's most important to you?
The economy, and he's done a lot of great things for the economy.
Unemployment is way down.
Yeah.
And so I support that 100%.
Why do you support Trump?
Because my dad does.
Okay, who's dad?
Are you Dan?
Dad, why do you support Trump?
Because uh you always know where he stands.
He's not afraid to tell you exactly what he what he's feeling, what he thinks.
He's not political, and that's what I think America likes about him.
Why why is the mainstream media lying to us trying to tell us that Trump's not popular, the people don't want him, the Russians did everything.
Once people get into politics anymore, it's a profession.
It's not a service to the community, it's a profession.
If they don't have Trump, then they lose their spot in line for their free stuff.
Um they're gonna lose their money.
That's what they're afraid of.
Um Trump does nothing but help us.
He's he's cut the taxes.
He's increased employment.
And I think he's gonna get elected again just like you said with the rallies.
You have half a dozen people that are protesting against him and then you have thousands that are protesting for him.
And I like him as a president also because I can understand him not like other lingo presidents have, you know, on more layman's term than I can relate to his speaking.
Yeah he's he's blunt.
He's raw he's a real person.
He's not up there polished and trying to be a politician.
It's not because he's a politician it's more he's a businessman.
He's getting things done so that's the the results speak for themselves.
Why do you think it's so important to come here and celebrate this parade?
You know it hasn't happened in a long time in military parade in America.
Why is it so important to you?
Um I just think it's really cool.
I like what Trump's doing.
I think it was fun to come out here.
