Time Text
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Radio Renaissance.
I'm your host, Jared Taylor with American Renaissance, and with me is my indispensable co-host, none other than Paul Kersey.
Today is February 21st, Anno Domini 2024.
And we will begin with comments from listeners.
The first begins, greetings from Canada, Windsor, Ontario, to be precise, directly across the border from Michigan.
The matters of which you and Mr. Kersey speak seem in general to pertain to domestic American issues.
But since 2020, when I started listening to you, I've come to a greater appreciation of the United States and of the need, and indeed the imperative need, to protect national culture and demographics.
I appreciate your well-researched content, and I also enjoy your and Mr. Kersey's civilized way of speaking.
Gosh, Mr. Kersey, is he really talking about us?
Well, I'm flattered.
Much of my own ancestral family, he says, mostly cousins and so forth, live in the Netherlands.
Thanks to you both for holding aloft your own share of the torch of civilization.
Well, thank you.
By coincidence, our next comment also refers to the Netherlands.
A listener called our attention to a story that we probably otherwise would have overlooked.
And it had to do with a hot time in The Hague.
A violent riot erupted on the streets of The Hague last night.
A fight broke out between two groups of...
Eritreans!
A group loyal to Eritrea's government was holding a meeting when the venue was attacked by Eritreans who oppose the African nation's government.
Shards of glass covered the streets and smoke from tear gas could be seen wafting into the air.
Officers dressed in riot gear barricaded the entrance to the building and dealt with a fire that had broken out inside.
It just broke out, you see.
Nothing to do with Eritreans being in there.
You know, fires just break out in the Netherlands, especially in the Hague.
Youths were dressed in hooded jackets and some covered their faces with scarves and balaclavas.
Multiple cars were torched and left charred.
Yes, I saw photographs.
It looked like quite the little automobile barbecue they had.
The fighting is the latest outbreak of violence at Eritrean events in Europe.
You see, these happen a lot.
Dozens of people, including at least 26 police officers, were injured during unrest surrounding an Eritrean cultural festival in Stuttgart in September.
A cultural festival.
Yes, they have very frisky cultural festivals.
A fight in the same month between Eritrean government supporters and opponents in Tel Aviv led to violent street confrontations among African asylum seekers and migrants.
Months earlier, a clash at an Eritrean festival in the western German city of Gießen left 22 police officers injured.
Boy oh boy, as I say, these cultural festivals are something else.
Tens of thousands of people have fled Eritrea for Europe, many alleging that they were mistreated by the repressive government of President Isaias Atwerki.
Atwerki?
That's not Atwerki.
Now, the listener who sent this story in had, to me, the absolute genius idea of asking ChatGPT what are the cultural contributions of Eritrea to Holland.
And for those of you not familiar with ChatGPT, it is a popular artificial intelligence question answering program.
You just type in a question and it will send you an answer.
So, what are the cultural contributions of Eritrea to Holland?
Chet GPT, and I have somewhat abbreviated the answer, said Eritrea, located in the Horn of Africa, has a diaspora community in various countries, including the Netherlands.
As such, Eritreans have made many cultural contributions to Dutch society.
Oh, it's those cultural festivals, you know.
Cuisine, music and dance, art and craftsmanship, community events and festivals.
Yes, these famous festivals.
Language and literature.
Yes, I am sure that Dutchmen and women are pouring over that great body of literature written in Eritrean.
Now, I don't believe Eritrea had a written language until white people showed up, but I'm sure there's just loads of Eritrean literature.
That you can stuff into your eager brain.
ChatGPT continues.
Overall, the Eritrean community in the Netherlands contributes to the multicultural fabric of Dutch society by sharing with the wider population.
Oh boy, do they share!
These cultural exchanges foster understanding, appreciation, and solidarity among different communities in the Netherlands.
You're standing.
Wow.
Boy, it is a joy to have them.
And, ladies and gentlemen, believe it or not, the joy of having Eritreans nearby has come to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Because, as the news explains to us, the Charlotte PD said eight people were arrested Saturday during a 10-hour protest and standoff that stemmed from an Eritrean, believe it or not, a cultural event.
Clashes erupted between rival groups of Eritreans and police confirmed that officers trying to disperse the unlawful crowds were attacked by people wielding sticks, rocks, and other items.
You see, this hostility between Eritrean groups immediately transfers to authority figures, the police.
Crowds also set a tractor-trailer on fire and police seized two firearms.
The incident first began shortly after 11.30 a.m.
When Charlotte Metropolitan Police Department responded to an unlawful protest happening at a business hosting an Eritrean cultural event.
And shortly after 3 p.m., I mean that is what, three and a half hours later, officers attempted to disperse the crowd.
Shortly after 6 30, that's three and a half hours later, dispersal orders were given again.
The officers were met with violence and hostility, and then the protesters.
That's when they set fire to a tractor-trailer.
Boy, that's going to solve all the domestic problems in Eritrea just like that.
Burn a few American tractor-trailers.
The North Carolina unrest happened the same day.
Riding broke out between the two rival groups of Eritreans in the Netherlands.
So, thanks to all these Eritreans spreading joy, delight, and Eritrean culture, and contributing the multicultural fabric all around the world.
How kind of us!
How kind of us!
Now, we love hearing from you.
We really do.
We are very pleased to hear from our listeners.
If we make a mistake, as we sometimes do, please, please let us know.
Also, please call our attention to any stories you think are significant.
And I thought this fellow who asked what Chet GPT thought about the cultural contributions of Eritreans was absolutely brilliant.
And there are two ways to reach us.
One, you can come straight to me.
Jared Taylor, the host of Radio Renaissance.
If you go to amren.com, A-M-R-E-N.com, and hit the Contact Us page, or you can send an email message directly to my co-host, Paul Kersey, by sending a message to becausewelivehere, that's all one word, at potonmail.com.
Now, Mr. Kersey, I have jabbered on for quite some time, and I believe you have an important story for us about what is the 9.2, 9.5 million?
They're not all Eritreans, but wonderful future Democrats who have crossed the border since Joe Biden took office.
This is a very good story from the New York Post, Mr. Taylor, and the headline is 7.2 million illegals entered the US under the Biden administration, an amount greater than the population of 36 individual states.
Within the United States of America.
Now, one of the things that I've noticed before we move on, the corporate media has been doing everything they can to start trying to call these people migrants.
I mean, which is just so weird because they're not migrants.
They're illegal aliens who have no right to enter the United States of America.
And even the New York Post, even the New York Post and their lead paragraph, they say this.
Nearly 7.3 million migrants have illegally crossed the southwest border under President Biden's watch, according to a Fox News analysis.
That figure comes from the U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, which has already reported 961,537 border encounters in the current fiscal year, which runs from October through September.
If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow down, the fiscal year of 2024 will break last year's record of 2,475,600 69 Southwest border encounters, a number that by itself exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state.
The total number of Southwest land border encounters since Biden assumed office in 2021 is seven 1,298,486.
Mr. Taylor, go ahead.
Oh, sorry.
Those are the encounters.
Does that include the gotaways?
I'm sure it doesn't include the ones we never even saw hot in our hair of, right?
It does not.
It does not.
That's correct.
So this number, this number could be, this number could be double.
Uh, who knows?
It's, uh, it, it's all, uh, it's all very insane.
Cause here we go.
That number is larger than the population of 36 individual U.S.
states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Compared to the largest U.S.
states, the 7.3 million number is about 18.7% of California's population, 39 million, 24% of the state of Texas and its 31 million residents, and roughly 33% of Florida and 37% of New York.
state of Texas and its 31 million residents and roughly 33% of Florida and
37% of New York. It's more than half the size of Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio.
Again, this is just incredible to think that we're the number of illegal
immigrants who entered the U.S.
under Biden gathered together to found a city, it would be the second largest city in America after New York.
And the total, as you mentioned, it doesn't include an estimated additional 1.8 million known gotaways who evaded law enforcement.
So taken together, You know, migrant does sound like they're Canada geese or hummingbirds or something.
You know, it's just a natural phenomenon.
Cannot be stopped.
into the U.S. during the Biden admin?
You know, migrant does sound like they're Canada geese or hummingbirds or something.
You know, it's just a natural phenomenon, cannot be stopped.
There they go, overhead.
But yes, they're illegal immigrants.
Or as the Texas governor says, they are invaders.
That's even the best expression.
Agreed.
Agreed.
A couple of quotes in the story.
I don't think there's really any reason to bring them up except to point out that, you know, all of this started basically after when Biden came into office and he repudiated everything Trump had done to stay in Mexico policy.
And, uh, what was it?
Title 42.
I forgot what number, whatever it was.
Yeah, basically.
He rang the dinner gong.
He said, come and get it, boys.
He says, we're going to be so much nicer to you illegals.
Come one, come all.
Yeah, he was explicit about it.
Do you remember they had these groups showing up with t-shirts on saying, Joe Biden, let us in.
And Joe said, step right up, boys.
Oh, incredible.
But there we go.
That's modern America for you.
Well, shall we move on to more, well, I don't know what to call it, more uplifting, or less dismal, or at least stories with smaller numbers in them?
Sounds good to me!
Well, here's a story about substats.
Substack, as many of you know, is a newsletter platform that grows to prominence with a permissive approach to online speech, attracting big name writers who had been cancelled or felt cancelled by the mainstream.
However, it's been criticized for tolerating Nazis and white supremacists.
Substack doubled down, saying that censorship would not make the problem go away.
Oh, what bad people those substackers are.
But facing a revolt from some of its writers and readers, the San Francisco-based startup shifted course, banning five obscure accounts that it said had violated its policies.
The move did not affect larger accounts, likewise accused of right-wing extremism.
We want to support and are committed to free speech and a free press, but that doesn't mean there are no guardrails, said Hamish McKenzie, one of the site's co-founders.
Its hands-off approach to its writers' politics helped lure contrarian commentators such as Andrew Sullivan, Glenn Greenwald, and Matt Taibbi away from large traditional media outlets.
I mean, they're not exactly uh, seek hiling and, uh, uh, goose stepping and, uh, or
even saying the sorts of things we say, but I guess they're contrarian commentators.
The fact is some stacks top earners can make rake in upwards of a million dollars a year.
And this helps the site lure well-known pundits from much larger media organizations.
And to that extent, I think it's great.
Let a hundred flowers bloom.
If people can make a million dollars a year writing for Substack when they only made, what, $150 writing for New York Times, that's the free market for you.
However, the uproar over Nazis shows cracks emerging in the Anything Goes ethos.
The announcement from Substack came amid growing pressure from hundreds of Substack writers, including names like the author Margaret Atwood, Is she the one who wrote, uh, what did she write?
Why is she famous?
Why do I know that name, Mr. Chris?
You know everything.
Tell me.
She's a Canadian poet who wrote The Handmaiden's Tale, which was converted into a show on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
The Handmaiden's Tale.
Very anti-male, as I recall.
In any case, Margaret Atwood is up in arms, likewise Molly White, whoever she is, and I'm not even interested in finding out from you, though you no doubt know.
And platformers Casey Newton.
They have abandoned or threatened to leave the site unless they reconsider its policies.
Substax moved to take down a handful of openly pro-Nazi accounts represents a bit of stemmed exodus of left-leaning writers without alienating the site's prominent conservatives.
But some writers are quick to say too little, too late.
I don't want to meet my dad's friends and I say I write on Substack and they go, oh, that's the racist site, right?
I'm sure that happens all the time, says Ryan Ozawa, who runs a Substack newsletter.
Some of the top earners, according to the site's leaderboards, are those who routinely criticize woke politics and cancel culture.
However, the Atlantic uncovered what it called schools of white supremacist, neo-confederate
and explicitly Nazi newsletters on Substack, some of which the company was profiting from.
Oh dear.
Barry Weiss, however, who left the New York Times because of its stifling ideological informity
and the evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins have defended Substack,
signing onto a post by fellow writer, L. Griffin, saying substacks shouldn't decide what we read.
Good for them.
The post endorses Substack's preferred approach of giving individual writers the ability to moderate their own comment sections as they see fit.
Well, in December, last December, some 250 Substack authors wrote an open letter to the company called Substackers Against the Nazis, calling on it to ban any accounts of traffic in white nationalism.
Uh-oh, uh-oh.
I guess that's just as bad as Nazis.
Do we traffic in white nationalism, Mr. Kersey?
I'm not even sure anymore.
What do these words even mean?
None of these five publications removed had paid subscriptions enabled, and they account for about 100 active readers in total.
So I guess it's true this was not a massive housecleaning.
This Amish McKenzie guy said Richard Spencer and Richard Hanania, right-wing voices who
have larger followings and paid subscribers, were not among those banned.
Well, Jessica Reed Krause, a Substack writer whose newsletter House Inhabit covers Hollywood gossip, conspiracy theories, and political culture, said she was disappointed the site took action at all.
She said Substack's lack of censorship during the pandemic is what drew her to the site in the first place.
I don't believe in policing content, she said.
I say let adults read and think like adults.
Well, good for her.
Good for you, Jessica Reid Krauss.
Now, after this article came out, there was a more recent one, and it was just earlier this month, the chief writing officer, apparently, that's also Hamish McKenzie's title, he said the firm doesn't like Nazis and wish no one held those views, but The company did not think censorship by demonetizing sites to publish their views was the solution and instead made it worse.
Talia Levin, a journalist with thousands of page subscribers on her newsletter, The Sword, So, good for Substack.
And by the way, all you listeners out there, you can go to Substack and you can find Radio Renaissance on it.
principles, not PR, we will defend free expression and we will stick to our hands-off approach
to content moderation.
So good for Substack.
And by the way, all you listeners out there, you can go to Substack and you can find Radio
Renaissance on it.
And it is a very handy, convenient way to subscribe to us.
And I might add that that subscription is free.
There's no payment or anything.
Yeah.
Good point.
Good point.
Glad you mentioned that.
Yes.
Now, Mr. Kersey, you have a hair-raising story about squatting in Atlanta.
This sounds like something that you would find, I don't know, in Ouagadougou or Mogadishu.
It's in the heart of Dixie now.
Some might call Atlanta Mogadishu of the South, but I'd like to make one more point regarding that substack, Mr. Taylor.
When you sign up for that, you're going to get notified In your email, whatever email you give when the latest edition of Radio Renaissance is published.
So it's a great way of not having to, well, we want you to check out the emrin.com site.
However, this is a great way if you're traveling or if you just forget or you don't know when it's going to be published by subscribing to the sub stack, you are going to get notified of it immediately upon release.
So it's a great thing to have.
Exactly.
Yes.
What's not a great thing to have is a home in Metro Atlanta.
This is from the New York Post.
Squatters take over 1,200 homes in Atlanta, open illegal strip clubs, and terrorize neighbors.
Is this even America?
Now, you and I know somebody who actually has had this happen to one of his properties in Atlanta.
I won't go into details, but if you read between the lines, you can probably figure out who that is.
Squatters are ruining entire neighborhoods in Atlanta, and police response to evict is so slow, some homeowners have resorted to paying nuisances to leave.
Now, these brazen squatters, they've opened an illegal strip club on properties that have been taken over, one of the 1,200 homes which has been squatted in the city, according to the National Rental Home Council, the NRHC trade group.
Quote, I'd be terrified.
In Atlanta to lease out one of my properties, Matt Urbanski, who manages a local home cleaning company, he told Bloomberg.
Urbanski's company cleans out homes for corporate landlords and in some cases has to remove squatters' possessions.
Recently, one of his employees was shot after attempting to remove intruders from a property.
Simon Frost, he's a CEO of a large-scale landlord, Tiber Capital Group, said, There have been incidents of unlawful occupants burnishing weapons and threatening neighborhoods, which affects the safety of neighborhoods and other residents.
Evicting squatters in Atlanta is tough, involving negotiating court backlogs and strained police resources.
Now, the judiciary in Atlanta is notoriously Slow and as this article doesn't point out, but I will, it is a black run city with black elected officials and black appointed judges and a bureaucracy that is heavily black, heavily black.
Probably, probably wanting squatters out of your house is just another form of white supremacy anyway.
Yeah, it's a form of patriarchy.
It's implicit bias, systemic racism.
It probably has something to do with the history of redlining as well.
Meanwhile, online listings and virtual real estate agents make it easy for squatters to identify vacant properties to break into.
So, thank you, Zillow.
Thank you, Redfin.
Isn't that interesting?
Yes, yes.
Wasn't it Zillow or was it Redfin that a couple years ago decided to remove crime data from the website?
It was Redfin.
That's right.
No more crime data.
Nope, nope, nope.
Can't make decisions based on crime data.
I think it was also Redfin who doesn't ever let you talk about master bedrooms because that makes black people go out and shoot each other because it reminds them of the days of slavery.
Well, and of course, master bathrooms as well.
Master closet.
Master anything.
Master anything.
Well, speaking of master, let's just finish up the story real quick.
In October, an Atlanta neighborhood found itself at the center of a scandal involving squatters, who Mr. Taylor had transformed the home into an illegal strip club, complete with weekend parties and even Live horses on the property.
Maybe we need to call Atlanta Tijuana and Dixie So I don't know if we want to go into why there were live horses That's taking things into an extreme position so To finish up the story the drama unfolded in the South Fulton area were four individuals D Anthony Maddox Jeremy Wheat Kelvin Hall and to So Chargé Ford took up residence without permission.
Little did the neighbors know that the 4,000 square foot, five bedroom home with three bathrooms
would become a den of illicit activity, including horses.
The squatters ran the clandestine strip club, held noisy parties, and even organized
car races in the street.
Quote, it's just the kind of neighbors you want.
This is actually really funny.
Atlanta WSB, which is the ABC affiliate Atlanta, someone said this, quote, they would get live horses.
One day they had live horses, end quote.
Eventually a SWAT team had to clear out the house and recovered two stolen cars, a stolen weapon, stolen credit cards from the property.
One neighbor told the New York Post they're afraid to even go on vacation because if squatters find out their home was vacant, they just might move right in.
Quote, is this even America anymore?
We are homeowners and we can't even do anything about trespassers.
The neighbor said in frustration another incident US Army lieutenant colonel Delia I'm sorry Delia Dari discovered a convicted criminal squad in her home She returned to her property to find a squatter living in her sprawling $500,000 residence while she was away on active duty.
She previously told WSB TV She came home to find a man by the name of Vincent Simon living in her home he has been convicted of gun drug and theft charges and he refused to leave the house and Uh, when she, when this lieutenant colonel reported the unwanted man in her home to her cops, to cops, they initially told her their hands were tied because it was a civil, civil matter.
Serving him eviction papers also didn't help.
After an excure law was used to finally get the police involved, cops found, once again, guns and drugs in the house.
Quote, to find out this person moved in my home right after I got done renovating.
It was very aggravating.
I was angry.
End quote.
Dari said, well, again, she was on active duty as well.
So you go to and again, she's actually this lieutenant colonel in question is black, but still, you know, you're serving your purported country and then you come home and your private property is squatted upon by a criminal and the police basically do nothing.
I wonder if she found any live horses.
That beats dead horses, though, by the way.
Good grief.
It's the horses at the strip club.
Boy, the mind boggles.
What else will they think of, our dusky brethren?
Wow.
Well, let's move on to something else here.
It sort of goes into the category of extra benefits for our pets.
Because three federal judges in Illinois have standing orders for their courtroom.
Allowing extra time for oral arguments, but only for young lawyers who are either female or minority.
Yes, a party to litigation as part of its request for an oral argument may alert the court that it intends to have a newer female or minority attorney make the argument.
If so, the order says the court will Grant the request for oral argument, if at all practicable, and then strongly considered allocating additional time for oral argument beyond what the court might otherwise have allocated were a female or minority attorney not arguing the motion.
Well, there you go.
You get Less time than your opponent if you're a white man arguing your case.
Well, that's just life in America, you poor white boys out there.
At least in the courts of three federal judges in Illinois.
And yet, more benefits for our pets.
The descendants of slaves who helped build St.
Louis University have demanded, hold your breaths, ladies and gentlemen, $74 billion in reparations for their ancestors' years of unpaid labor.
The push for the monetary reparations was made by the descendants of St.
Louis University enslaved.
That's the name of the group.
It was mobilized by the great-grandchildren of slaves and their children and children forever and ever.
The group was joined by economists and civil rights attorneys to unveil their demands on Tuesday outside the Jesuit University founded in 1818.
According to Julianne Malveaux, now Julianne Malveaux is a black lady that I have actually met.
Uh, and just as a sideline, I asked her on the set of a television program, could she name a single thing that had ever happened anywhere in the world to black people anytime in history with that?
That was not the fault of white people.
And she couldn't come up with a single one.
In any case.
Yes.
Sorry.
That's very funny.
Even the host, even the host, uh, he says, uh, come on, Julianne, can't you think of it?
She's she, I refuse to answer.
In any case, she says the descendants of slaves deserve $365 million based on her calculations that 70 slaves labored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year between 1823 and 1865.
Wow, boy, they were real staconobite slaves.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year, no sleep.
hours a day, 365 days a year between 1823 and 1865. Wow, boy, they were real staconobite
slaves. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, no sleep. This 365 million with interest over
time amounts to 74 billion, says she. Well, the Missouri University itself only has an
endowment of 1.5 billion. So that these descendants of which there are several dozen are demanding
70 times more than the assets.
Areva Martin, a civil rights attorney, said, I look forward to working with university leadership to come up with a plan to compensate the descendants for what they are rightfully owed.
I bet she does look forward to working with the university.
And, of course, here comes the mealy-mouthed pathetic statement from St.
Louis University.
SLU's participation in the institution of slavery was a grave sin.
We acknowledge that progress on our efforts to reconcile with this shameful history has been slow, and we regret the hurt and frustration this has caused.
I guess they're just going to whistle up $74 billion, you know, in the next quarter or two.
Then they're going to say continuing this work is a priority for SLU and the Society of Jesus.
As we move forward, we hope to re-establish and build deeper relationships with all descendant families.
Boy, I bet they do.
Now, the Democrat mayor of St.
Louis, Tishwara Jones, doesn't sound like she's descended from the Mayflower, signed an executive order to create a nine-member volunteer commission to explore and recommend reparations.
The people closest to the problems are closest to the solutions, says she.
Now, what does she mean by that?
Of course, she means black people know best.
Black people will tell white people just how much.
Just like Julianne Malveaux has calculated that this, what, several dozen descendants deserve $74 billion and St.
Louis University better pay off Ligeti's split.
Now this article goes on to say nearly half of the residents of St.
Louis, 300,000, that's the population, nearly half are black and many of them live in North St.
Louis where rates of crime and poverty are high.
Golly, I wonder what made them go live in parts of St.
Louis where there's lots of crime and poverty.
They just got herded into those terrible places, right?
Oh boy, I'm sure they were fine white neighborhoods before they ended up there, and then lo and behold, look what happened.
Meanwhile, here's a story about Japan that highlights just how different Japan is from the United States.
A junior high school principal in Hyogo Prefecture paid 110 yen at the counter of a convenience store to buy a regular-sized coffee at a self-service coffee machine.
However, a store clerk noticed that he filled his cup by pressing the button for a large coffee, which cost 180 yen.
When confronted, the 59-year-old principal, he's a principal of the city-supported school, admitted to cheating on his coffee purchase.
He said he had done this twice before in the same store.
Well, police were notified.
And they sent files on the suspected theft to the Himeji branch of the Kobe District Police Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors acknowledged he'd committed the theft, but they decided not to indict him.
So, they're being flexible.
However, the Prefectural Board of Education held a disciplinary hearing.
At the interviewer, the school head reportedly said he did it on the impulse of the moment and was truly sorry.
The principal also admitted to doing the same thing four times at another store, bringing the total amount he had scammed to 490 yen.
And for those of you who aren't too hip on the exchange rates, that's something under five dollars.
However, the guidelines for disciplinary action set by the Hyogo prefectural government dictate that a public servant who has committed theft should be either suspended from work or dismissed.
A spokesman for the board said, we reviewed past disciplinary actions and concluded that dismissal is appropriate for a repeat offender.
The board announced the principal was dismissed and revoked his teaching license and took away his retirement pay, estimated at $135,000.
So that's Japan for you.
They hew to different standards, different standards indeed.
Now, Mr. Kersey, I believe you have a Kansas City story for us.
Yeah, I wish that the people in Kansas City would adhere to the same type of quality of life and morality that That the Japanese do, you know.
Keep dreaming.
Keep dreaming.
No.
If I start dreaming, I'll realize that the nightmare that is actual America is far worse than any dream could be or nightmare could be.
Kansas City mayor accuses governor of racism for calling Super Bowl mass shooters Thugs now we talked about the story last week a lot of our listeners will remember that there was a mass shooting in Kansas City, Missouri at an event that was largely Frequented by white revelers who were celebrating Kansas City's victory in the NFL's Super Bowl 22 people I believe were shot one person died.
It was a Hispanic lady who died and for For the longest time, we had no idea who actually was involved in the shooting.
We now know that they were two black individuals.
Basically, they had a beef with each other.
We had an idea right away.
You and I did.
We knew right away.
We knew right away.
But the point is that, you know, CNN was breathlessly wondering if this was a terror attack or my
gosh, what does this have to do with Missouri's lax gun laws?
Missouri has constitutional carry.
It turns out that one of the individuals who was arrested actually it was a stolen gun.
So it had nothing to do with the with the with the lock lax gun laws or constitutional
carry concealed carry or for that matter.
It had nothing to do with it had nothing to do with the fact that there were 800 police
assigned to this celebration.
And even that many officers couldn't maintain police.
Well, here we go with the story.
Kansas City Mayor Quentin Lucas said on Friday that Missouri Governor Mike Parson used a racial dog whistle when the governor said thugs were responsible for the shooting.
A dog whistle when referred to in, uh, excuse me one second, let me scroll back up here.
He made these comments while speaking to KCUR host Steve Kraske on the radio program Up To Date.
I certainly do think this was criminal activity.
It's lawlessness, and I think that's troubling, the black mayor told Kraske when the radio host asked about the white governor's comments.
But thugs is a dog whistle in the most classic sense, and I have seen this dog whistle time and again.
Now, of course, Mr. Taylor, a dog whistle when referred to in politics is often used to describe something such as a term that is allegedly coded language to communicate a message to racist, sexist or other groups who hold biases.
Well, just A dog whistle—it's called a dog whistle because apparently dogs can hear frequencies higher than we can.
If you blow on a dog whistle, it'll go wheet at some frequency we can't hear, but dogs can, and they get the message.
So that's the whole idea.
Now, this black mayor says he has seen dog whistles?
Wow, that's pretty good.
We can't even hear them, but he can actually see them going off.
Now those are superpowers.
I guess he's super melanin enhanced.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Ah, yes.
But please continue.
Yeah.
The black mayor would go on to rail on gun rights and spoke about all the gun violence in Kansas City.
Now, for those who don't know, 2023 was the most violent year in the history of Kansas City.
They had the most homicides.
The mayor said that the only reason the identities of the shooters who committed the crime have not been released yet is because they are juveniles and not their race.
Of course, it turns out that they were not juveniles.
They were actually in their 20s.
This is despite the juveniles will be charged as adults in the mass shooting.
Again, this is somewhat of a dated story because It turns out that not only were they covering up the race of the shooters, the black, they were also covered up the fact that they were not juveniles.
Back in 2021, Lucas and the black mayor announced plans to defund the Kansas City Police Department by $47 million.
And that the reason for the decision was centered around listening to black and brown people in quote.
That's I guess I guess I guess I guess he can see he can see dog whistles, but he can also listen.
Do you smell that?
black and brown people.
Listen, do you smell that?
No, anyways, he suggested that the $47 million cut from the department is not actually a
lot.
He then railed on those who live outside the city for making suggestions on how to solve
crime in the town of Kansas City, Missouri.
Now, for those who don't know, Kansas City is actually a majority white city, about 55%
of the population.
And as my friend Jack Cashel has pointed out, they are, uh, unfortunately they've had a
string of black mayors who have been disasters for that fine city.
And again, no more so than this, where the black mayor admits to listening to black and brown people to cut funding for the police.
And guess what happened?
2022 and 2023 were two of the most violent years on record.
Well, what is it?
Wasn't one of HL Mencken's definitions of democracy?
The people get what they vote for and they get it good and hard.
Well, I guess they voted for this black mayor and they're getting him good and hard.
So, let's see.
Here's yet another one of these.
The country is crazy stories.
Of course, you could use that headline for just about 75% of the news these days.
But last week, an adjunct assistant professor of medical education at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science—sounds pretty prestigious—and a guest faculty member at UC San Francisco told a 300-person audience that white people are racist because they are genetically predisposed to being psychopaths.
This was Dr. Charita Golden.
A professor and vice president at Johns Hopkins University sent out a mass email last month with a list of identities to repent for, including being white, able-bodied, heterosexual, cisgender, male, Christian, middle or owning class, middle-aged, and English-speaking.
Wow!
Well, public outrage led to her being apologized and she deleted her ex account, but as far as I know, she is still on the job.
Professor of Medicine, Vice President John Hopkins University.
And just while we're at it on the Medicine Goes Insane subject, race has long been used to interpret kidney functions For purposes of likely diagnosis, drug dosing, etc.
But in the wake of George Floyd, as if that made any difference to the scientific reality of race, medical elites have suddenly declared that using this information is racist.
And in this little series of America Goes Crazy, UC California, San Francisco, this is a different guy.
But likewise, UC San Francisco hosted a speaker who suggested whites Again, our psychopath.
This seems to be just the latest thing among the white haters.
This guy's an author, Dante King, and he delivered a lecture called Diagnosing Whiteness and Anti-Blackness, White Psychopathology.
And he has a book by the same name coming out.
I'm going to snap it up and read it.
The Young America Foundation released a montage of clips from his 90 minute lecture where he called on Black people and everybody else to look down on whites.
They're psychopaths, he says, and their behavior represents an underlying biologically transmitted proclivity roots deep in their evolutionary history.
Did you know that?
I did not.
Well, now you do.
The level of lying that white people do, that has started since colonialism, we've all just gotten used to it.
He also said that anti-blackness is the foundation of all American and all white American institutions.
That all we were thinking about when we established the Congress, when we decided to go to the moon, when we set up public education, all we were thinking about was anti-blackness.
And to make his point, he remarked that raping black women is written into the law.
I'd like to know where.
Yep.
He says rape culture in America is a legal, economic and moral institution.
So we're going to, we have it written in the law.
You can rape black women, but we've never been a racist country.
This goes beyond gaslighting and it's rooted in psychological delusion, said King.
Psychological delusion.
Here's a guy who thinks that it's okay to rape black women because it's written into the law.
And here's the last in my little grab bag of America Goes Insane stories.
This has to do with a lesson plan in a Seattle public school.
As part of, and this is insane just to begin with, Black Lives Matter at School Week.
Yes, Black Lives Matter at School Week.
The class called World Literature and Composition.
This was at Lincoln High School in Seattle.
They were given a handout with definitions of the nine characteristics of white supremacy.
One is worship of the written word.
It is white supremacist because it is an erasure of the wide range of ways we communicate with each other.
Well, it's true.
There are certain groups that never came up with the written word, and I guess we're erasing them.
By this definition, of course, the very subject of world literature and composition is racist because it has to do with the written word.
But it goes on to say, we hyper value written communication because it's a form of honoring only what is written, and even then, only what is written to a narrow standard full of misinformation and lies.
Gee, does that mean that if black people learn how to read and write, they get all caught up with this and everything they write is full of misinformation and lies?
No, I suspect this information sheet is talking only about things written by white people.
The worksheet goes on to say that the following things are white supremacist objectivity, individualism, perfectionism.
And if students deny their own racism or that of or that of any of the nine characteristics that they say are racist, that's also white supremacy.
In any case, a father Made this stuff public and asked to remain anonymous for fear of retribution against his child by Seattle Public Schools.
Probably a fully legitimate fear.
Yes.
He goes on to say, how is a 15 year old kid supposed to object in class when denial and defensiveness is itself a characteristic of white supremacy?
This is educational malpractice.
So there you go, that's life in the big city, life in Seattle, life in Cuckoo, over-the-top, insane, ultra-woke, insomniac Seattle.
Now, I think you have a heartwarming story about Sam's Barbecue.
I love it, I'm just dying to hear about Sam's Barbecue.
Yeah, this is one of those stories that has the exact opposite conclusion of what the writers were trying to show.
This is a great story about gentrification and a story about white flight and gentrification.
So here we go.
Sam's Barbecue continues legacy as a safe place for black community.
It's a safe space but at the same time a memorial.
This is from MySanAntonio.com and it's a piece detailing this black community in East Austin where a barbecue joint sits that upon entering is like taking a step back in time from the smell of barbecue smoke Filling your nose before even stepping through the white wooden door full of stickers to the rustic brown wooden panel walls inside and vintage letter board listing the restaurant's five barbecue meats by the pound.
History is ingrained in the space.
Now, it then goes on to talk about this fantastic type of barbecue they have.
And this home style barbecue cooking and comfort inside is what Sam's barbecue owner, Brian Mays, says keeps people coming.
Delicious, delicious pork, delicious meat.
Yeah, they keep coming for that.
Let me get back to here.
Sorry, I just lost my spot.
Quote, barbecue is what we had.
We didn't want nothing else.
Mays said, you've got to do what people like.
Mays is seven years old and has been the owner of Sam's for 49 years.
He grew up on the east side of Austin, working in the restaurant with his father, who bought it back in 1957.
Sam's Barbecue has been around for 67 years and is one of the last black owned businesses left on the city's east side.
Mr. Taylor, it's also one of the only traces left of what used to be a predominantly black and Hispanic neighborhood in Austin.
It was Eastside.
We had 500 black businesses over here, Mace said.
Before Sam's came to be, East Austin was named the Negro District in the city's 1928 urban plan to force black residents to live within a six-square-mile radius to maintain Jim Crow-era segregation policies.
Over the years, the neighborhood grew to become a vibrant community filled with thriving black businesses, schools, and churches, a veritable Sounds like they were enjoying themselves.
Yeah, it sounds like, uh, yeah.
I wonder how many horses they had.
Lover did yeah So that was until maze again the black owner of this
barbecue place Sam's said he started to see a change in the late
1990s quote Everybody shut down because of gentrification. He said they've
been doing gentrification a long long time ago, but see I owe my stuff
I don't rent black and Hispanic residents began to be
Proportionately bought out of their homes including maze who sold his family's home for 4.8
million dollars in 2010 and now commutes to work from Manor But as the city of Austin started to look different Sam
stayed the same in the past decade developers offered maze
Millions of dollars for a sans for Sam's property, but he refused to sell when you sell your business
What are you gonna have left?
That's all you have.
My brother worked here.
He'd been here a long time.
My daughter worked the daiquiri shop next door.
When I die, I'll make sure they get a million.
You know, gentrification is so tough.
You have to sell your house for four and a half million.
Boy, that is gruesome.
That is so racist.
I don't just don't know how they stand it.
Again, I look at that, I look at this story, and it has the exact opposite conclusion as to what I think the writers are trying to do.
Because again, you have to wonder what the property was valued at when the area was replete with black and Hispanic residents before white people came in.
What was the value of the property when there were no white people?
Don't ask that question.
It's the ultimate question, is it not?
And they talk about this vibrant area of store owners, stockbrokers, barbers, bankers.
Wow, it was just so wonderful under segregation.
Uh-oh, uh-oh.
And now that there's integration, now that white people are coming in, oh my gosh, it's awful and you have to sell your house for four and a half million.
It is tough.
Systemic racism is vicious.
Well, okay, can we move along to the recruitment problems that the U.S.
military has been having?
Oh, we may.
They just can't get any white folks.
Because each U.S.
military service saw a notable decline in white recruits over the past five years.
Army, Navy, Air Force missed their recruiting objectives by historically large margins in fiscal 2023.
The number of recruits from minority groups has remained steady or in some cases increased.
The decline of white recruits is almost entirely responsible for the recruiting crisis.
In fiscal 2018, 56.4% of the total of all recruits were white.
Last fiscal year, it went from 56.4 to 44%.
Well, well.
Over the same time, black Army recruits went from 19.6% to 23.5%.
Last fiscal year, it went from 56.4 to 44%.
Well, well.
Over the same time, Black Army recruits went from 19.6% to 23.5%.
That's nearly a quarter of all recruits were Black.
Hispanics went from 17.2 to 23.5.
That's also nearly a quarter.
We got a very bi-paki army.
Here comes the armed bi-pocalypse.
What we're seeing is a reflection of society.
What we know less is what is driving all these things, an army official said to reporters.
There is no widely accepted cause.
Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps officials could not explain why there's been a decline in whites.
Conservative lawmakers and media highlighting the Army's preoccupation with diversity could contribute to the problem, some Army officials reported.
No, young applicants don't care about that stuff, one Army official said to military.com, who reported this story.
No, no, no, no.
White people, young white people, they don't care, despite the fact that the military for years has prioritized Recruiting women and non-whites, adding new initiatives each year aimed at increasing the proportion of their representation in the total ranks.
Pentagon officials and official documents outline the military's goals to increase the proportion of all of these ethnic and racial non-white groups.
The Pentagon's guiding strategic plan through 2026 sets year-over-year targets for increased representation of racial, ethnic minorities and women in career fields.
It also sets goals of having more minorities included in the pool of applicants eligible for promotion to higher ranks.
Oh, man, that's really going to encourage whites, isn't it?
And they're baffled.
They're astonished.
They don't understand why white people aren't signing up.
This year was without a doubt the toughest recruitment year for the military services since the inception of the all-volunteer force.
It's so desperate, it's offering bonuses of up to $75,000 for enlistees in certain highly technical occupations.
Mr. Taylor, Mr. Taylor, I'm sorry, say that number again.
Did you say $75,000?
$75,000!
A bonus, an enlistment bonus of $75,000 in certain highly technical occupations.
75,000, a bonus, an enlistment bonus of $75,000 in certain highly technical occupations. Now,
how many blacks and non-whites, I mean blacks, non-whites and women, are already trained for
those highly technical occupations?
My guess is, sorry, sorry to make generalizations, probably not very many.
These are probably radar people or air traffic control or electronics experts.
In any case, $75,000.
And they've also raised the maximum age to join the Navy from, what strikes me as already very high, 39 to 41.
You can be a 41 year old and join the Navy.
41.
It has also pushed the limit of the congressionally mandated maximum percentage for recruits who scored between the 10th and 30th percentile on the Armed Forces Qualification Test.
Isn't that good news for our warfighting capabilities?
We're going to hire morons and dummies in the 10th to the 30th percentile of the AFQT.
What in the heavens?
That's probably the IQ equivalent of, who knows, 85?
Boy, oh boy, that's going to be our all-volunteer army.
Boy, the Chinese are just quaking in their felt-lined boots.
And here's another Japan story.
We talked about Miss Japan.
Her name is Carolina Shino, and when she was named Miss Japan, This Ukrainian born person was the first time that a person with absolutely no Japanese blood became Miss Japan.
And that led to a certain amount of grumping.
I grumped myself.
This Ukrainian born woman, she's entirely Ukrainian, nice looking girl, but I didn't think she should be Miss Japan, even though she is a Japanese citizen.
Well, she has relinquished her title.
Following a report that she was having an affair with a married man.
Ah!
Yes!
It's the first time that a Miss Japan winner has resigned from her position.
And the organizer said the post will now remain vacant for the entire year.
Miss Japan, the Miss Japan organizer, had rebutted earlier claims saying that Uh, she thought he was single and she was unaware that he was married.
However, it came to light that she hopped into bed with him knowing that he was married and she has now apologized for lying.
But If you are Miss Japan, and you lie, and you have an affair with a married man, out you go, out you go.
So she has stepped down.
Oh dear, those sex-crazed honkies and their lies!
Well, now, I was curious to know how come the title is going to remain vacant for this entire year.
And what I heard was, is that this would be because if they gave it to the runner up, she would be under a cloud the whole time.
And so they didn't, they wanted to save her from any kind of embarrassment.
That's Japan for you.
They operate according to different rules.
Now here's a story from New York City.
An apparent innocent bystander was killed and at least five others, including two teenagers, were injured when gunfire erupted on a subway train as it pulled into a Bronx station during rush hour.
Gunfire erupted.
You know those crutches go off by that train?
Where did it erupt from?
I don't know.
This is like Mount Etna.
It just erupted.
At least 10 shots erupted after a fight between two groups of teenagers broke out.
A 35-year-old man was killed, shot in the chest.
He did not appear to be an intended target.
A 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and a 29-year-old woman and two men, ages 71 and 28 respectively, also stopped bullets.
As a train pulled into the Bronx station and the doors opened, at least one individual, Pulled a gun and kept shooting.
While horrified strap hangers began to flee, gunfire spilled out onto the platform.
No description of suspects, but Mr. Kersey, you and I know whence these bullets erupted.
Now I'm wondering when the State Department is going to issue travel warnings to the New York City subway system.
Well, you never know.
OK, I think we have time for one last story here, but the AFD, it's all about the AFD.
The German interior minister, Nancy Fizer, says no one who donates to a right wing extremist party should remain undetected.
Oh my goodness.
Yes.
She was announcing proposals for a new crackdown on bank accounts and funding for political groups.
Those who mock the state must deal with a strong state, she added.
Wow.
She really wears the pants in this government.
The SVD politician presented 13 new measures with a special focus on targeting those who fund her party's political rivals.
Wow, isn't that democracy?
She also said the right-wing extremist networks should be prosecuted in the same way as members of organized crime.
It remains unclear how such targeting would work and what kind of penalties would be directed at someone who donates to a right-wing party or organization.
But of course, this is clearly directed at the AFD, which is now polling as pretty much number one, the most popular party in the country.
Well, Mr. Kersey.
Which is great news, by the way.
That's a great story to end on.
Yes, yes, yes.
But I mean, good grief.
And they talk about respecting the will of people.
Heavens.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have run out of time, as we always do.
But I wish to assure you that it is always a pleasure and a great honor to be with you.
And it'll be our pleasure.
It'll be our honor to be with you next week.
Thank you.
