Time Text
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Radio Renaissance.
I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance, and with me is my indispensable co-host, none other than Paul Kersey.
Today is January 11th, Year of Our Lord 2024, and we are marching steadily into this new year.
We'd like to start with a comment from a listener.
He sends in an account of a local news story, and he writes as follows.
It seems that Leffel School, a super posh non-sectarian Jewish high school on a 25-acre campus in Westchester, played a basketball game against Roosevelt High School.
Roosevelt High School has 39 white students out of a student body of 700.
The rest are the usual mix.
Another report says the school is 100% minority, so where did those 39 whites go?
In case the girls high school team was overwhelmingly impacted, it appeared to me from the video exclusively African-American.
Now, Leffel School, the posh Jewish high school, is pledged on its mission statement.
It says, we are an independent school deeply committed to socioeconomic diversity.
Well, Roosevelt, which doesn't even manage to graduate much over a quarter of its so-called students, and is overwhelmingly economically deprived, that would be a great place, wouldn't it, for the Leffel girls to practice being deeply committed?
It seems, though, that the Roosevelt team got very physical on the court and said some unkind things about Jews.
Who would have possibly expected such a thing?
These level girls, these athletes, rather than seek to deepen their commitment to diversity, even further, the Left O'Lassies chose to walk off the court under protection of security guards and return to that posh, beautiful 25-acre campus.
Perhaps once they're out of reach of the objects of their devotion, they can better practice their love of socioeconomic diversity.
Well, that's kind of daily life in the United States, isn't it?
People who claim that they are proponents of diversity flee from it at the first opportunity.
You know, Mr. Taylor, is it even right to call it the United States anymore?
I mean, I know that the divided states, the just barely hanging on states.
I mean, one thing I think that we've discerned over the past few years is that the only thing that unites the people of the United States is that an increasing near majority hates the almost celebrated minority and that's white people who
are scheduled to be what minority by it was 2040 but I think due to everything that's happened
and the massive amount of illegal aliens that we're seeing resettled across the
country it has to be ratcheting up when what first two illegals uh outpace births to uh actual americans
so wait a minute Is it really the case that there are more births to illegals than white Americans?
Is that possible?
I actually believe it's overall Americans.
Elon Musk has that.
Oh, that can't be true.
That can't be true.
That more births to illegal immigrants than to legally present Americans in the United States or legally present people in the United States?
Hmm.
I'm deeply, deeply skeptical.
But we should leave that to our sharp-eyed, sharp-eared listeners to correct us.
Maybe you can do a little boning up on that yourself.
In the meantime, there's interesting news about white people and the U.S.
military.
The Army's recruitment of white soldiers has plummeted, a decline that accounts for much of the service's historic recruitment slump, and the subject of increasing concern for Army brass.
In 2023, the service missed its target of 65,000 new soldiers.
All they got were 44,000.
So they missed by 20,000.
Now this aspect of the report somewhat surprises me, Mr. Kersey.
A smaller army is taking on a larger mission than during the peak of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
What in heaven's name are they doing that requires more soldiers than the peak of the wars in Iran and Afghanistan?
But in any case, because we've got all these people busily spreading goodness, truth, and beauty, and freedom, and democracy, and DEI, and everything overseas, this means this undermanned army, the soldiers are spending far too much time away from home than ever before.
In any case, this total of 44,000 new army recruits That were categorized by the service as white.
Let's see in 2018.
Now that has fallen every year to 2023 was 25,070 44,000 to 25,000 with 2023 being the most significant drop.
to 2023, it was 25,070. 44,000 to 25,000, with 2023 being the most significant drop.
No other demographic group has seen such a decline.
56.4% of new records were white.
In 2023, oops, no, I beg your pardon.
That was, yes, okay, sorry.
In 2023, that number had fallen to 44%.
So, there used to be.
That was in 2018.
That was 56.4%.
Last year, that number plummeted to 25,000.
And the proportion, the percentage is 44%.
During that period, blacks went from 20 to 24% of the pool.
and the proportion, the percentage is 44%. During that period, Blacks went from 20 to 24% of the pool.
That means one quarter of new recruits in the military are Black, and Hispanics rose from 17% to 24%.
So, about a quarter are Hispanic, a quarter are black.
And they're the people, Mr. Kersey, who are going to be fighting our high-tech wars.
Now, it's unclear whether the sharp decline is worse among white women or white men.
They didn't make that distinction.
Now, here is an interesting aspect of the problem.
The military is emphasizing the fact That lots of people are dying from opioid deaths.
There were 80,000 opioid deaths in 2021, and about 75% of the overdose victims are said to have been white.
Many in their 20s.
80,000!
75%?
That means what?
of the overdose victims are said to have been white.
65%?
65,000!
Many in their 20s.
80,000.
75%?
That means what?
65%?
65,000.
65,000 white people died?
Boy.
And that would account, I mean if they were young people, that could sure account for
this 20,000 undershot that they got.
The 20,000 they were looking for had never gotten.
Of course, the people who are dying of opioid deaths are probably not the best possible recruits to be sending on battlefields.
But also, there's an interesting question here.
Southern recruits, apparently, not broken out by race, so I don't know whether these are whites or blacks, are 22% more likely to be injured in basic training than people from the rest of the country.
What's the problem with white men?
Well, an army official pointed to people like you and me, Mr. Kersey, partisan attacks from conservative media, which has an overwhelmingly white audience.
Apparently, wicked people like us are lambasting the services for being woke and so preoccupied with wokeness that they've abandoned war fighting.
Now, the spokesman for the military says, oh, the young applicants don't care about this so-called stuff at all, this so-called woke stuff at all.
It's the older people in their life who do care, and they have a lot of parents, a lot of influence, parents, coaches, pastors, etc.
Well, I wonder how true that is, and I wonder how he knows this Army spokesman.
I bet a lot of young whites, they know perfectly well that this place, the Army, Navy, Air Force, are full of all of this crazy anti-white baloney.
But this guy says, no, no, no, they love this.
And they went on to point out, let's see, That all of these right-wing pundits and lawmakers have routinely, routinely blasted the Army for its 2022 recruiting act.
I think you and I talked about this.
There was one called The Calling, and it featured real-life soldiers, one of whom had two mothers, and marched in pride events.
And the Army claims, in producing this ad, that it was only reflecting data showing that LGBTQ++ rights are considered a real priority among Gen Z Americans.
They're very democratic, they're trying to recruit.
So they think this kind of thing is just drawing them in.
Can you believe that, Mr. Kersey?
All these young potential military recruits think it's great for a woman in the military to have two mommies
and to march in pride events and that's the kind of army they're just swarming into the
ranks to join.
Well, remember one of them I believe they had a woman who claimed to have some sort
of horrible personality disorder, but she was finding herself in the military.
It was always so inspiring.
Makes you just want to go out and kill the enemy, doesn't it?
But here's another aspect.
Between 2010 and 2021, white undergraduate and graduate college enrollment rates fell from 43% to 38%.
White undergraduate and graduate college enrollment rates fell from 43% to 38%.
Undergraduate and graduate college enrollment, whites are only
Wow!
Men of all races now account for only about 40% of undergraduate students.
That means 60% are women.
Now, according to this article by Military Times, the drop in white recruitment has baffled Army staff and isn't easily explained.
But once again, this is an astonishing figure.
In 2018, 44,000 whites joined up.
In 2023, only 25,000.
That really is a significant change.
And as you pointed out, so many from the South, which traditionally has been overrepresented among both the officers and enlisted, especially as we're going to talk about in the next story.
They're the ones who are abandoning a country that has largely abandoned them, as we see from the desecration of all the monuments, and more importantly, the reconciliation monument in Arlington.
It's crazy.
Well, one of our commenters reminds us of this.
The Department of Defense for fiscal 2024 wants $114 million for its latest rounds of diversity.
And that is an increase from $86 million the previous year and $68 million the year before that.
Thank you.
In the military, it's not just DEI, it's DEIA.
We talked about this once before.
The A stands for accessibility.
So they want diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
I guess that's for all those one-legged special forces guys you want to recruit.
So you have to have accessibility.
People who, I don't know, it seems to me you ought to be able to walk up a flight of stairs if you're going to work for the military, but no, no, that's one of their big initiatives.
But yes, you were going to tell me about casualties.
Oh my goodness.
Yeah, this is a story.
From 2005, the LA Times.
I don't think we're going to see many stories like this ever again, but it's White's account for most of military's fatalities.
This is by Tony Perry, published September 24th, 2005.
The majority of soldiers and Marines killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan were young white enlisted personnel from active duty units, according to a study released Friday by the Federal Government Accountability Office.
The demographic study involved 1,841 service personnel who were killed and 12,658 who were wounded as of May 28, 2005.
Whites, who constitute 67% of the active duty and reserve forces, accounted for 71% of the fatalities.
Blacks, 17% of the overall force, were 9% of the fatalities.
Hispanics, 9% of the force, were 10% of the fatalities.
duty and reserve forces accounted for 71% of the fatalities.
Blacks, 17% of the overall force were 9% of the fatalities. Hispanics, 9% of
the force were 10% of the fatalities. Asians and Pacific Islanders, 3% of the
force respectively were 3% of the fatalities. American Indian, Native Alaskans,
1% in each category.
So Hispanics are also slightly overrepresented in fatalities, whereas blacks are way underrepresented.
Yeah, that's correct.
That's correct.
So the story would go on.
For whites, the percentage of deaths was the lowest since the Defense Department began keeping such statistics.
In Korea, 80% of fatalities were white.
In Vietnam, 86% and in the Persian Gulf War, 76%.
The statistical report was requested by Reps Ike Skelton, a ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, and Rep Charles B. Rangel.
There's a name we don't hear about anymore.
A Democrat from New York.
The majority of the report deals with the racial breakdown of the U.S.
forces by job category and rank for each of the services.
Rangel had suggested the nation may need to return to a draft so that the burden of military service in wartime is equally shared.
It seems like the burden was unequally shared, Mr. Taylor, at least as of 2005, which was, goodness gracious, 19 years ago.
The report appears to support the contention that service in the military reserves is most attractive to young men living in low- or medium-income families or rural communities.
Of the 482 reservists who had died in Iraq and Afghanistan as of May 28th, most were from low or medium income communities.
About 80% were from rural and urban communities, whereas 18% were from the suburbs.
So, fascinating little addendum there to your story.
Well, it's always been the case when we have a volunteer army, it's whites who go into the combat arms.
They're the people who, for a whole host of reasons, either they are super patriots, they want to go out and kill for their country, or they're looking for adventure.
whereas non-whites, at least blacks in particular, are interested in getting training for a job.
Now I find it fascinating that Hispanics seem to be overrepresented in terms of their numbers.
What were those numbers again? That they were something like 7% of the force but 11% of the
casualty of the fatalities? Can you go back and repeat? It was actually 9% of the force and 10%
the fatalities.
Okay, just 1%, just 1% over representation.
Yeah.
And I've heard, I've heard from people who have been in the military, that by and large Hispanics make reasonably good soldiers.
Blacks are really Pretty much a waste of space, but Hispanics, Hispanics can make good soldiers.
Well, and just to confirm that number for blacks, it was 17% of the overall force and 9% of fatalities.
So a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, um, a lot of jobs and, uh, and probably in the supply chain, uh, as opposed to anything in the infantry.
Yes.
Yes.
Well, now this is a really strange story.
I had never heard of South African Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace, but apparently she is on the House Oversight Committee looking into the Hunter Biden business.
And she called Hunter Biden the epitome of white privilege.
After the president's son made a surprise appearance at a hearing, he showed up unannounced just on last Wednesday.
And they were deliberating whether to move forward with the resolution holding him in contempt of Congress after he failed to comply with the subpoena.
And she says, I mean, the nerve of him showing up to a committee.
It's the epitome of white privilege.
He should be held accountable like everyone else.
Now, what?
White privilege.
This wasn't the first time she went on about his privilege.
She says, uh, coming into the oversight committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a congressional subpoena to be deposed.
This is the epitome of white privilege.
What are you afraid of?
You have no balls coming up here.
None of this makes sense to me, Mr. Kersey.
You are more closely in touch with the popular mentality than myself.
Maybe you can, but she's accusing him of being both a coward for coming into the hearing and having white privilege.
Well, I may just go to my grave being mystified by that.
However, so there are two aspects of this.
One, that this Nancy Moore, who is a white woman, Should even be accusing a white person who does something ambiguous.
I mean, okay, he shows up uninvited to a hearing.
White privilege?
Why white?
It just goes to show you the extent to which this notion of unfair white privilege has seeped into the minds even of white lady congressmen.
And then the other aspect of it was quite fascinating.
Her comment about white privilege met with the wrath of two of her House Democrat colleagues.
One was Texas Rep.
Jasmine Crockett.
Now, I haven't looked her up, but my guess is Jasmine is an African-Americaness.
She says, I can't get over the gentle lady from South Carolina talking about white privilege.
It was a spit in the face.
At least of mine as a black woman.
Well, yes, here she goes.
She's a black woman.
For you to talk about what white privilege looks like, especially from that side of the aisle.
Well, okay, Ms.
Crockett, she has got a biological insight into this phenomenon that she claims no white woman could possibly have, especially if she's a Republican.
She says, y'all don't know what white privilege looks like.
Okay, so they know and we don't.
This is one of these things, it's like systemic racism.
They can see it and we can't.
It's like institutionally, they can see it and we can't.
It's like voodoo, they can see it and we can't.
Anyway, white privilege is one of those things that we have absolutely no right to talk about.
Well, I wouldn't want to talk about it anyway, but she does.
Then Representative Ocasio-Cortez then chimed in and said, Let's see.
It was all very beautiful for Crockett to be talking about this.
And the fact that she was a Republican gives the whole game away.
In other words, Ocasio-Cortez is agreeing that white people have no right to talk about white privilege, even if they're criticizing a white man for it.
Again, this is just, to me, a rather baffling story.
So maybe some of our listeners have better insight into what's going on here.
So, if I fail, if you can't even explain it to me, Mr. Kersey, I'm afraid maybe no one can.
Again, it's one of those stories where it's just so absurd that he would be accused.
It's like, can we get this word out of our vocabulary?
Why is it seeped and intoxicated and made so... Intoxicated?
Intoxicated is probably the wrong word.
It's impregnated, maybe.
It's impregnated, yeah, like some sort of alien creature in a sci-fi film.
Where it's captured the host.
I like that.
There you go.
I was trying to think of the right way to describe it because of Hunter Biden's proclivity and predilection for inebriates and opiates.
Allegedly, allegedly.
He does all sorts of spoiled brat things, but what's that got to do with his being white?
He's just a spoiled brat who happens to be white.
But I guess, you know, if it's a spoiled brat who's white, that's just all white privilege.
No black person would dare attempt these things.
Meanwhile, there's some interesting information about black wealth.
This is median household income.
Between 2019 and 2012, the racial wealth gap increased by $50,000.
So there's now a total difference of $240,000 between the median wealth of a white household and a black white
household.
This, of course, is our fault.
But it did.
Black median wealth did increase from $28,000 to $44,890, which is a substantial proportionate increase.
up to $44,890, which is a substantial proportionate increase, but it still lags other racial groups.
In 2022, median wealth...
That's $62,000 as opposed to $45,000.
$285,000 for white households.
Hispanic households that's 62,000 as opposed to $45,000 $285,000 for white households
and Mr. Kersey hold on to your hat I think I'll put you on the spot
You can wriggle off if you wish, but given that the median household income, household wealth for whites was $285,000, how much do you reckon it was for Asian American households?
I'll give you the numbers again.
Okay, $285,000.
Okay, go ahead.
If you can give the numbers again.
Yes.
Blacks, it's $45,000.
numbers again. Yes, blacks it's $45,000, Hispanics $62,000, and whites $285,000.
This is basically household net worth.
So, what would the Asian-American household net worth be?
I would say the average is 375,000.
536,000.
Holy cow.
Yeah, yeah.
375,000.
375,000.
536,000.
Holy cow.
Yeah, yeah.
Boy, they are really storing up treasure not here in heaven, but here on Earth.
Now, of course, after having made this point
about this article, then completely ignores
Asian Americans.
It goes on to say, past and present discrimination, including housing, banking, taxation, higher education, and more, result in lower average wealth for black families.
They've got that figured out.
Policies that privilege whiteness are reflected in higher levels of wealth for the average white family.
I find this hilarious.
What accounts for the fact that the average Asian American family has nearly twice the wealth of whites?
Not one word about that.
Does it break out by continental Indians?
You know, they are the richest people around.
As I recall, the subcontinental Indians actually have a higher net worth than American Jews.
I believe that is correct, yes.
Yes, yes.
They are really packing the money away.
Well, good for them.
So, interestingly enough, the real difference between whites and blacks, and again, no word about Asians, the real difference is that whites tend to have a lot more wealth in the stock market.
Whites have a stock portfolio.
30% of whites' households have a stock portfolio.
Only 4% of blacks.
Isn't that interesting?
That's very interesting.
I would imagine that most white wealth is tied to the equity in their homes.
And the same with Asians as well.
Well, probably it's the same with most people.
The fact is that blacks are less likely to own their own homes than other racial groups, but I suspect, yes, whites, a lot of it is equity in their homes, but 30% of whites have a stock portfolio and only 4% of blacks.
I'd love to know what the figure is for Asians, but they just completely left Asians out of this.
Now, Mr. Kersey, I'm afraid that, at least in San Francisco, blacks are not only going to have lower household wealth, but they might be going hungry.
Well, we've talked about all of the businesses that have left San Francisco, which it is incredibly uninspiring if you're a citizen of San Francisco to watch as all these staples have just decided to flee San Francisco.
Now, the newest one actually gives us one of the more provocative headlines, Mr. Taylor, that I've read in quite some time.
Say a San Francisco community outraged over plan to close Western Edition Safeway.
Quote, moving all the blacks out in quote.
I'm sorry.
Moving all the blacks out.
Exclamation point.
End quote.
That's the headline.
But they're not moving the blacks, they're just moving the store, right?
Oh well.
No, they're just closing the store.
Yes, closing the store.
It's like the Walgreens and it's like all the other drugstores.
So now it's a drug desert, it's a food desert, it's a civilization desert, it's a Starbucks desert.
So last Thursday we learned that the only Safeway grocery store in the Western Edition of San Francisco will close.
Community members and those with the NAACP are speaking out, saying if this plan goes through, this will negatively impact the city's Black community with long-term implications.
In less than two months, the Safeway grocery store on Webster Street will close, according to executives.
Quote, You're gutting it.
You're just gutting the neighborhood, said Theresa Fry, who lives in the Western Addition and shops at Safeway.
Community members are outraged, saying seniors and handicapped individuals have been forgotten about.
Those with Safeway say they have entered into an agreement to sell the 3.6-acre site to a real estate company for mixed-use development project, which would include housing and commercial real estate space.
Quote, they need to really do things about taking things from the inner city that we need and then developing housing.
Housing for who?
The homeless?
You need to do better than that, said Norris Mays, who lives in the Western Edition.
It's the destruction of a community, said Dr. Amos Brown with the NAACP.
And those thoughts from Brown Record by those who we talked with in the Western Edition.
Now this is KGO, that's the affiliate there in San Francisco reporting this, when they say they, that we talked to as journalists.
They believe this will directly impact low-income black and Asian communities.
Last week, Mayor London Breed, a member of the Black Female, told our partners at the San Francisco Standard, quote, This is a real and rare opportunity to add a significant amount of new homes in this part of our city, and even a new grocery store."
But plans for a new grocery store have not been solidified, and community members we spoke with took target at the mayor.
And for London to not even fight for the black community to have this store stay here for the blacks, it seems like they are just moving all the blacks out, said Lily Briggs, who lives in the Western Edition.
The journalist J.R.
Stone said, So you're blaming the mayor for this?
And Lily Bragg said, I blame London because I think London should have done more.
She was raised in this area.
Is that true?
Well, apparently she's from a black area.
So Supervisor Dean Preston's office said they reached out to Safeway and the developer to explore the possibility of including a grocery store as part of any planned development at the site.
Quote, they need to stop the car, slow things down and permit this black community to get aboard.
You know, there's not a word in that article, as far as I can tell, as to why they'd be moving out.
It makes it sound as though they're just vicious racists.
They want black people to starve.
They want these handicapped people to starve.
They're just vicious, vicious people.
Not one word about all the inventory shrinkage that I'm sure they suffer from.
And all the crazy people that wander in who have on psychiatric treatment or whatever it is.
None of that.
Not a word about that.
Not a word.
I mean, this is the kind of journalism that's just so pathetic.
And it's so common.
Not one word to explain this.
It just makes it sound as though the cities let them down.
Safeways let them down.
Oh, they're so mean and they're so awful.
What about the people?
What about the people?
Yeah.
Again, it's one of those situations where we all know the reason in San Francisco and in the state of California, you're not going to be prosecuted unless I think you steal over $1,000 worth of property.
And we've seen the images, we've seen the video, we've seen journalists who've been, who've actually captured, CNN actually captured people stealing when they went to one of the CVS's and we know that In a lot of these places, a lot of these stores, the inventory is completely behind plexiglass.
And you know, they have to have a worker, an employee, come open it up and hand it out.
And I mean, that's just not the good way to do business.
Where you live in Oakton, I can think of Let's see, you've got a Giant, a Safeway, a Harris Teeter, you've got a Costco, you've got a Sam's Club, you've got, oh, what's the big box store that starts with a B, you've got a, you know, a SuperTarget, a Super Walmart, you have a plethora of choices.
Gosh.
All of them are, oh, go ahead.
You must do a lot of shopping in my neighborhood here.
I've spent some time in the Vienna-Oakden area.
I know it quite well.
And the grocery stores there, hey, I'm sure there are good white liberals still wearing masks when they go into those stores, Mr. Taylor.
Well, you know, I go into them so seldom.
It's true, we do not have a food desert.
And oddly enough, oddly enough, Mr. Kersey, we don't have an obesity epidemic in Oakden either.
I just don't understand it.
A lot of nice trim people going in and out of those stores with no locks on the shelves.
You can just actually reach out and grab a cauliflower and put it into your carriage.
Shocking.
Well, staying within San Francisco here, I saw some statistics, official statistics from the school district about how the different races are performing.
Now apparently, when you show up into kindergarten, all the students get a reading readiness test.
And apparently it turns out that 85% of the white kindergartners show up, 85% are ready to read.
Only 70% of the Asians are ready to read.
And the figure for blacks is 28%. 28%.
Then the Latinx, as they call them, are 34%.
So, I find this quite fascinating.
We're talking about reading English, but the Hispanics are better prepared to read English than the African Americans.
Again, 85% of whites, 70% of Asians, and 28% of blacks.
Now, in the 8th grade, you are tested for readiness for high school.
Here we have some interesting numbers, too.
Only 47% of whites are ready for high school in the 8th grade.
71% of Asians.
15% of blacks.
And 24% of Hispanics.
15% of blacks are ready for high school.
Well, that doesn't stop them from graduating.
This is the crazy thing.
The number that graduate from high school.
15% are ready for high school, but we're talking about blacks.
But 86% graduate.
23.7% of Hispanics are ready for high school, but 77% graduate.
And whites, only 47% are ready for high school, but 90% graduate.
And if it's Asians, 71% are ready for high school, but 95% graduate.
These numbers are really quite astonishing.
And when they graduate, when they graduate, There is an evaluation to see if they are ready for college or a career.
And only 66% of whites graduating from San Francisco high schools are considered ready for college or career.
80% of Asians, 25% of blacks, and 32% of Hispanics.
This tells you an awful lot.
What can you expect from places like this?
What can you expect for this population?
Again, I mean, at the culmination of 12 years of public school, and if you throw in kindergarten, maybe that's 14 years, you have got 25% of blacks who are ready for college or a career when they graduate from high school, and 32% of Hispanics.
The figures are bad enough for white people, only two-thirds of white people, 66%, 80% of Asians.
I mean, the same pattern of academic performance wherever you look.
I'd be curious to know if there's a single major school district in the country that does not have this invariable, inevitable pattern of Asians doing better than Whites doing better than Hispanics doing better than Blacks.
To me, it really is an astonishing commentary on Blacks.
Hispanics, I mean, a lot of these Hispanics probably were born in the United States, maybe some of them weren't.
And English is not necessarily their first language, but they do better than the blacks.
What explains that?
I guess it's the legacy of slavery just goes on and on and on and on.
But yes, it'll never die.
Well, Mr. Kersey, I understand that I guess Chicago public schools have one of the same problems that Safeway does in the black neighborhoods.
Inventory shrinkage.
Yeah, well, this isn't this isn't just the black neighborhoods.
This is the school system, which I think I might actually do this in reverse order.
So it's gonna be sort of like a Jeopardy thing.
So US News and World Report report that the Chicago Public Schools, I believe it's one of the largest public school systems in the country.
The student body is 10.9% white, 35.8% black, 4.4% Asian, and 46.5% Hispanic.
So I guess you're talking about what, that's 81% Blacker Hispanic?
So Hispanics are the single largest group.
Yes they are.
In Chicago of all places.
I remember how weird it was to go up to Barrington, I think it's called Barrington, Illinois.
It's a very It was a very Tony Posh suburb of Chicago.
This was in, oh gosh, I'd say 2000.
I was visiting a buddy who had just moved up there back in high school, and I was shocked at the amount of Hispanics that he went to school with at this highly rated public school.
And there was and then he told me and his mom told me that there's there was a huge illegal immigrant population there for construction and for all the jobs.
So that was that was one of those eye opening moments, you know, going to Chicago where you think, oh, hey, this is gonna be like those John Hughes movies from the 80s.
No, it was not.
It was not like Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
So anyways, speaking of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Chicago Public Schools lost $23 million worth of laptops, iPads, and other devices in a year.
In one year.
A single year.
In a single year, yep.
An annual report from the Inspector General of Chicago Public Schools revealed that millions of dollars worth of tech devices were reported lost or stolen without appropriate search and recovery efforts.
Huh.
So they disappear, they walk out the door and don't come back, and nobody cares?
Uh, well, we'll get to why that might be in a little bit.
But no search, no search recovery?
That will guarantee that all the rest of them will walk out the door.
Yes, sir, it will.
The fiscal year 2023 annual report released Tuesday states CPS schools reported 77,505 tech devices as lost or stolen during the 2021 22 school year totaling well over 23 million in original
purchase price. Thank you taxpayer The discovery as a result of the district's first post kovat
20 kovat 19 inventory calls the numbers Unacceptably high and says the oversight process is in need
of a serious overhaul The report said the missing items include laptops iPads Wi-Fi
hotspots printers document cam I'm sorry document cameras and interactive whiteboards at
least and that's I can't believe they're letting these kids take this stuff home.
I don't think they're letting them take them home.
I think they're just walking out with them.
An interactive whiteboard?
I would imagine that probably all students are issued a laptop or an iPad or some sort of device.
And if there's a tech desert in some of these black and brown areas, that's why they get the Wi-Fi hotspot and printer.
And then an interactive whiteboard.
I don't know.
I wish I... I don't have an interactive whiteboard.
That sounds really cool.
Quote, at three dozen schools, 100% of tech devices assigned specifically to students were marked cluster stolen.
What?
In Torrey data showed.
100%?
Every single one?
At three dozen schools, so that's 36 schools in the CPS system, 100% of tech devices, Mr. Taylor, were marked as lost or stolen.
Well, what I say, what I tell you, you know, if they're not even attempting to bring back the ones that are gone, that ensures that the ones that are still around are going to walk out the door too.
There are no penalties to take them home.
Yeah, during the same school year, CPS shelled out.
124 million on technological assets, which the report said was the most in the last five
years.
I mean, unbelievable quote, in a district of our size, some device losses expected,
but we remain concerned about the loss of any public assets.
CPS said in a statement to Fox News.
Also they said this in a district from more than 72% of students are from economically
disadvantaged families.
It is crucial that we are sensitive to our families as we conduct any device recovery
What?
The statement read.
What?
Because they're poor, we expect them to steal, so we're not going to ask for the stuff back?
Is that what that means?
Yes.
Wow, okay.
Okay, things are different from when I was a student.
Yeah, there's going to be no putting a dunce cap on these students for walking out and not returning the digital whiteboard or the iPad.
Wow.
They won't have to write, I will not do this again a hundred times on a chalkboard.
Well, they can do it on a digital interactive whiteboard.
Probably write it once and it reproduces itself a hundred times.
Well, let's move to the board.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
On Monday, he admitted to Border Patrol agents the current rate of release for illegal immigrants apprehended at the border is above 85 percent.
Now, you know, 100 percent is above 85 percent.
I wonder what the actual figure is.
It's above 85 percent.
Waltz across the border and you have a great chance of being turned loose.
He will say that this is an alternative to detention.
And he argued repeatedly it's up to Congress to provide more funding and immigration reform to fix what he called a broken system.
He said the agency is limited in detention capacity by funding provided by Congress.
Now, is Mayorkas really saying that when 300,000 illegals came across the border in December, he wants all of them locked up?
Is that really what he's saying?
I don't think so.
Well, I want what he's saying.
There are now three million There's a three million person backlog of people who are supposed to show up eventually and make an asylum claim.
Does he want money from Congress so that we can house and feed all of them and lock them up?
All three million?
This just sounds like the most insane way to say it's not his problem.
In any case, the remarks came just two days before the House Homeland Security Committee holds its first impeachment hearing.
That will feature multiple state attorneys general who will testify about the impact the crisis on the border has had on their states.
Now, have you followed this impeachment hearing?
Do you know if that hearing took place?
I do not know if that took place.
You ought to forgive me, I don't.
No, I wasn't aware of whether that took place either.
That's very interesting.
It would be fascinating if the House actually did vote To impeach President Biden for not protecting the United States against an invasion.
I think that would be a beautiful day.
In any case, Mexico's got the answer.
Mexico's always got the answer.
President Lopez Obrador, he says the US just needs to spend about $20 billion for a cooperation plan So that Latin American countries can become so paradisiac, because they can be so Wakanda-like, that the residents will not want to leave.
And that takes $20 billion.
Probably it would take about $20 trillion, more than that.
But in any case, he thinks $20 billion will do it.
Also, he wants to suspend the US blockade of Cuba.
Take off all sanctions against Venezuela and grant at least 10 million visas to Hispanics living in the United States illegally.
So, amnesty for the illegals, fork over $20 billion, and then maybe he will cooperate a little bit about preventing quite so many to cross our southern border.
Now, when he talked about this $20 billion to help other countries in Latin America become so desirable that the residents will stay, a senior Biden administration official said, we share the vision that we need to lift up the region.
Well, Mr. Kersey, no, we don't.
That's not our Yeah, we're too busy scrambling to find $23 million worth of iPads and devices in the CPS system and figuring out ways to keep Safeways solvent in areas devoid of white people.
But no, we're supposed to make Guatemala such a paradise that not one criminal is going to want to come to the United States.
OK, he says, well, this is quite interesting to me.
A Biden administration person who preferred to be anonymous said Lopez Obrador's administration wants Joe Biden to win the election because of Donald Trump's actions during his time in office.
However, says this anonymous administration official, Joe Biden is quickly running out of options to fix a problem that is driving down his poll numbers.
Unless he can get support from Mexico.
So, apparently the theory is, here Mexico is wanting to shake us down for 20 billion dollars, amnesty, millions of illegals, and apparently the pressure on Joe Biden to do something to reduce the numbers is so great, he might even do that stuff.
Now, the Biden administration says it needs Mexico Well, it needs permission from Mexico to return non-Mexican immigrants back across the border.
That's, of course, what we were doing with no trouble at all under Donald Trump.
And this, to me, is insane.
I don't care who crosses illegally from Mexico.
We, it seems to me, have the sovereign right to pitch them back across the border.
But apparently, Lopez Obrador says, nope, nope, not one of our boys.
Well, he was on your territory, he was under your jurisdiction, he broke the law to get into our country, he came from your country, take him back.
But apparently, Mexico says, nope, nope, we're not taking him back.
And of course, Mexico wants more financial aid from us to help it police its aborters.
Again, if anybody's breaking into our country, That's our business.
And we're supposed to go begging, cap in hand, to Lopez Obrador, saying, please, please, Lopez, darling, please keep him on your side of the border.
That's not his job either.
His job is either to keep him out of his country, or once he gets him into his country, if he doesn't want him, if he can shove him across the border into our country, bully for him.
But no, no.
We are there kissing his hand, begging him to do his job, doing our job for him.
And meanwhile, this is an interesting statistic, the FBI currently has almost 14 million records of firearms applications that failed a background test.
That was between 1998 and 2023.
That's a long time, 26 years.
14 million records of firearms applications that were denied.
Of that number, over that 25 year period, 50,000 were denied because the purchases were illegal Illegal immigrants.
Isn't that an interesting number?
Repeat that.
Repeat that number again.
Okay, I'll repeat both numbers.
In the 25 years between 1998 and 2023, there were 14 million rejections of purchases of firearms in the United States by the FBI.
They said, no, these guys are no good.
Of that 14 million, 48,000 rejections were of illegal immigrants.
Now, how they figured out they were illegals, I don't know.
But apparently they did.
And that is estimated to be only a very small number of illegals who actually come across the border and buy weapons.
But 48,000 because they were illegals.
Now, the US Customs Service says that Border Patrol, listen to this, the Border Patrol Seized 547,610 illegal weapons in 2023.
547,610 illegal weapons in 2023.
So these are weapons that were being brought into the United States illegally.
547,000.
It seems to me if they're bringing them into the country, they don't need to buy them once
they're here.
And that's consistent with 2021 when 595,000 weapons, illegal weapons, being smuggled into the United States were seized.
Now, this is an interesting item, too.
In 2019, the Democrat-controlled U.S.
House of Representatives passed a bill That would require gun dealers to report to the federal immigration authorities when an illegal alien tried to buy a firearm.
Doesn't that seem to be a reasonable proposal?
It does.
Well, it failed in the Senate.
The Democrats rejected that.
And at the time, U.S.
Representative George Stube of Florida says, that just goes to show you what the Democrats care about.
In other words, than preventing illegal gun sales.
What possible reason could you have, Mr. Kersey, for saying, no, if an illegal immigrant wants
to buy a gun, don't deport him.
I guess it's because the poor deer might be deported.
Don't you think that's the reason?
Incredible.
I think you bring, I think yes.
Incredible.
Well, Mr. Kersey, I believe you have a story about Mr. Musk, Elon Musk, noticing that DEI
has its downsides.
I mean, literally straight down from 30,000 feet.
You know, Elon Musk continues to impress.
I mean, here we have the richest man in the world who is not bowing down to pressure.
We saw what happened in 2023 with the Anti-Defamation League and other alphabet organizations that tried to Get Mr. Musk to capitulate and acquiesce to their demands, and instead he hasn't.
In fact, this headline is from NBC, MSNBC, I should say.
Elon Musk criticized by civil rights groups over claim that diversity efforts make flying less safe.
Musk drew a swift rebuke from two of the nation's best known civil rights organizations Wednesday after he criticized efforts by United Airlines and Boeing To hire non-white pilots and factory workers.
The criticism came after Musk claimed in a series of posts on X that efforts to diversify workforces at those companies have made air travel less safe.
He offered no evidence for the claim and one of his replies directed attention to a post by someone else speculating about the IQ of black airline employees.
Mark Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, said Musk's statements were abhorrent, empathetic, He noted that Tesla, where Musk is CEO, is being sued by
the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for alleged abuse of black employees, including
claims of racial slurs and nooses found in the workplace.
As if this is as if these alleged infractions or incidents is somehow the all on Elon Musk.
It's disgusting that this is even going on.
And Musk's company had only refused to investigate complaints or take any steps to end the abuse.
It viciously retaliated against employees who complained or opposed the abuse, Morial
said in a statement to NBC News.
Well, Mr. Kersey, just to interrupt you briefly, wasn't there a case at a Tesla factory in
which a black elevator operator?
Was called all sorts of bad names, and Tesla had to pay out several million dollars.
But it was other blacks who were calling him those names.
Wasn't that the case?
Yep, we've talked about this, yeah.
Yes, incredible.
They were trying to get his son also on one of the... It was one of those absurd cases, because I think he was awarded in the tens of millions of dollars.
A huge amount.
Maybe like 16 million.
Yeah.
And it turned out that it was other blacks who were calling him names.
Yeah.
But that's all Elon's fault.
Yeah.
The only thing anyone needs to hear from Musk about diversity in the workplace is an apology, the memorial said.
Reminder to Innable ACP President and CEO Derek Johnson responded to Musk on Twitter saying, you know, it's funny, the article says, responded to Musk on X, but I'm still going to call it Twitter, as I think you will as well.
Saying the actual danger comes from Musk's own social media site reminder to at Elon Musk Providing a home for the proliferation of hate speech and white supremacist conspiracy theories kills people diversity equity and inclusion cultivates a more inclusive society Johnson wrote Okay, so Twitter is killing people by letting certain people talk.
Yes, Twitter and X are the great threat.
Diversity, inclusion, and equity is the ultimate unifier.
That's what Mr. Johnson is saying.
Musk's decision to wade into the subject of airline safety follows discussions that were sparked Friday when a panel blew off a Boeing jet while it was flying.
Musk's statements on the topic started Tuesday when he responded to an ex-user who speculated that IQ scores of United Airlines pilots who went to historically black colleges and universities were lower than the average IQ of Air Force pilots.
Musk replied to that post with his own attack on programs that promote Diversity, equity and inclusion.
Now, of course, I think we should start saying diversity, inclusion, equity, which, of course, hilariously spells DIE.
Quote, it'll take an airline plane crashing and killing hundreds of people for them to change this crazy policy of DIE, Musk wrote, misspelling the DEI acronym.
I don't think he misspelled it.
I don't think he did either.
In a separate post, Musk mocked United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, saying the executive reminded him of Kirby, the pink video game character from the Nintendo Entertainment System of the early 90s.
Musk returned to the subject Wednesday, quote, treating a post from someone on X who would criticize Boeing's diversity efforts.
Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritize DEI hiring over your safety?
That is actually happening, he wrote.
The post got 14 million views within an hour.
Now, if memory serves, we've talked about this a lot recently, Mr. Taylor, but you did a great piece about diversity in the airline industry.
I believe it was air traffic controllers, correct?
That's correct.
That's correct.
There has just been a scandalous level of D.E.I.
or D.I.E.
in air traffic control.
And the people who are actually washing out of the FAA's own training school because they're letting in these people who are complete losers rather than people who have scored top scores on a preliminary test.
Oh, I urge people to go to either Rumble or BitChute and see the video that I did about this.
It's absolutely shameful.
Absolutely shameful.
And the thing about it is, I'm sure Elon Musk is absolutely right that our flying is much more dangerous because of pilots, assembly line people, etc.
But when that great plane wreck that he's talking about happens, it will be like, I don't know, trying to Squeeze blood from an orange to get the facts up.
Those facts will be so carefully and diligently hidden, it'll be a miracle if they ever show up.
Who was the assembly line worker who was drunk and failed to tighten the bolts?
Who was the guy who failed to replace the part correctly on the machinery?
Who was the actual pilot who made a terrible error and slammed that plane into the ground?
It'd be very, very hard to find out.
At least that's my prediction.
In the meantime, Did you know at Rice University?
Well, you do.
You know this because you know everything, Mr. Kersey.
You can take a course in Afrochemistry.
This is a good story.
It's a good story.
And the long title of this course, it's CHEM 125 in the Rice University College Catalog.
The long title is Afrochemistry, called the Study of Black Life Matter.
Black life is hyphenated.
Black life matter.
Oh boy, black life is different from anybody else's matter, I guess.
The chemical processes that go on in black people are just more better and different.
All that melanin, you know, doesn't that enhance every single, every single excellent process?
In any case, here's the description.
Students will apply chemical tools and analysis to understand black life in the U.S.
And students will implement African American sensibilities to analyze chemistry.
I wonder how you do that.
Diverse historical and contemporary scientists, intellectuals, and chemical discoveries will inform personal reflections and proposals for addressing inequities in chemistry and chemical education.
Chemistry itself has inequities.
Gosh.
I guess that means that when a chemical reaction is taking place in a white body, we get white privilege of some kind.
It works better.
Inequities in chemistry itself.
I go on with the course description.
The course will be accessible to students from a variety of backgrounds, including STEM and non-STEM.
No prior knowledge of chemistry or African American studies is required.
Boy oh boy, it sounds like it is pretty elementary boneheaded stuff.
Now the instructor or the instructoress is an African Americaness by the name of Brooke Johnson.
And I just checked out her description on her faculty page.
Dr. Johnson is passionate about the intersection of science and social justice, and using her unique experiences to teach, support, and inspire diverse students.
Diverse students, Mr. Kersey.
That's not you, white boy.
Now, I just wonder... I identify as a person of color, Mr. Taylor.
Oh, do you?
I do.
Well then, Afrochemistry.
Is that jungle fever?
If somebody finds you really attractive, she's got Afrochemistry if you're a person of color.
That's hilarious.
Afrochemistry.
Oh boy, time is, well, okay.
Just one last little quick shot here.
A 61-year-old man was punched in the face by a stranger inside the lobby of a Bronx apartment building.
The male attacker, an African-American fellow citizen, he began speaking to the victim, who does not speak English, and the victim responded in Spanish.
Well, the assailant screamed, effing Hispanic, get out of my town, and punched him in the face.
The attacker then stormed out of the lobby and has not been caught.
They were white.
They were English-speaking people in the lobby who witnessed the exchange.
So, oh boy, oh boy.
I guess this guy has not got the message.
He doesn't think diversity is our strength.
Well, I don't think so either, although I don't punch people because I think that.
Well, Mr. Kersey, our time has come to an end, and I'm very sorry we didn't explain how to get in touch with us.
Maybe we'll do that really quickly.
We'd love to hear from our listeners.
Tell us where we got something wrong, got something right, what we should do and what we shouldn't do.
You can write to Amarin.com, go to Amarin.com and click the Contact Us button, and a message will come to me.
Hey, it's real simple, ladies and gentlemen.
Because we live here at Protonmail.com, just shoot me an email at BecauseWeLiveHere.
And most importantly, if you'd like to hear about a conference that Mr. Taylor and myself are going to be speaking at in late April, you can shoot me a message and ask about that and see if there's going to be room for you.
That's called a tease, Mr. Taylor.
It's a tease.
Well, okay.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is always a pleasure and an honor to spend this time with you, and we look forward to doing the same thing next week.
