Time Text
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Radio Renaissance.
I'm your host, Jared Taylor with American Renaissance.
And with me is my co-host, Paul Kersey.
Today is September 28th, Year of Our Lord 2023.
And I'd like to start with a few comments from listeners.
We had quite a few this week.
And let's start with one about Salt Lake City.
Our listener writes in to say, last week you noted the controversy over installing metal detectors at high schools in Salt Lake City.
The usual morons complained that this would shock and intimidate non-whites.
I propose an easy solution.
Make the beeps of the weapons detectors sound exactly like smoke alarms with dead batteries.
Problem solved.
That's a mean comment.
Mr. Taylor, it's a mean comment, but it might behoove some of our listeners to actually understand this anthropological find of the chirp.
Could you describe what that actually means?
Well, what that means is that often in Instagram videos and in other video recordings that black people make in their own houses, you can hear what I call the ghetto nightingale in the background going, Yep, that sound seems to make them feel right at home.
So if that's the sound that the metal detector makes, then they will not be intimidated or terrified.
And of course, just to go one step further, that means that they need to change the battery in their smoke detector.
And it's as if they've acclimatized themselves.
They're fine with it going off.
They don't think to ask what that noise is.
That seems to be it.
Yes, I should have included that.
Thank you for that clarification.
Just one of these strange American phenomena that are otherwise inexplicable.
And another comment about Salt Lake City.
It says, Mr. Kersey mentioned Salt Lake City school districts drawing concern about the disproportionate impact of metal detectors on minority students.
Salt Lake City seems white in the imagination because of Mormons, but also because of the movies.
One of the schools mentioned in the article is East High School, which was the set for the Disney movie High School Musical.
Nearly everyone in the movie, even the kids on the basketball team, were white.
East High School is also where I did some of my student teaching.
In real life, there was not a very high population of whites at all.
I decided not to become a teacher after that, needless to say, and I didn't even have the luxury of metal detectors to ensure my safety at the time.
Oh dear, well Mr. Kersey, you and I suffer from the same illusion about Salt Lake City.
And weren't the statistics really rather remarkable that whites were a pretty small minority, about 25-35% of the high school students in Salt Lake City?
Actually, the only statistic we saw was for the overall student body population of Salt Lake City Public Schools, which is 59% non-white and, what's that, 41% white.
So, versus the rest of the state, I've spent a lot of time in Utah.
Provo, Logan, just amazing places.
Of course, Logan is where Utah State is, and Provo is the home of Brigham Young University.
So, you know, Salt Lake City is pretty much the The enclave for the colonization of Polynesians, Samoans, and blacks that have descended upon.
Sounds like it's not an enclave.
It is a conquering horde.
Well, let's see.
Let's move on to the next comment.
A listener writes in to say, apologies for saying so, but I really think Jared should get rid of that mustache.
It makes him look older, and worse, somewhat hip-larian.
Well, golly, I didn't realize my mustache was audible on the podcast.
I guess it's quietly whispering, Heil Hitler, in the background, and I just can't hear it.
I actually thought, it's funny, I thought he said hip-larian, and I was like, wait a second, does Jared look hip?
Is the guy that Jared looks to, Mr. Taylor, looks too hip?
I get it now, so you need to... Well, I will never look hip, I'm afraid.
That's just not possible.
And of course, this really is a comment on my videos rather than the podcast, and I should not be flip about this matter of the mustache.
When I first started showing up in my videos with a mustache, somebody else commented that I had gone full dictator.
And by that, they did not mean the emperor of Japan in the pre-Meiji era.
So, I guess I should think twice about this, but I have to consult with my wife, as all men, when it comes to facial hair, their wives seem to hold a lot of power, maybe even veto power.
Another comment.
I have a small correction about the Dr. Seuss poem.
It was sort of an imitation Dr. Seuss poem that you recited about transgender men.
And this is one that was passed along to us with the assurance that it had been written by ChatGPT.
Our listener writes in to say, sadly, it was not written by ChatGPT, but by a former Twitter user called Huff4Congress.
He has been booted from Twitter since posting the poem, but the Wayback Machine still contains his admission that he wrote it himself.
Well, this is all, I suppose, not too surprising.
You and I, Mr. Kersey, we marveled at how clever the thing was.
And we agreed that it would be hard to imagine any human being writing a cleverer poem.
But, apparently, this is not Chat GPT.
And our listener goes on to say, it would be very surprising if Chat GPT wrote the poem because it was carefully made to be as woke as possible.
Whenever you ask it to write something that could be even remotely offensive, it will refuse your request.
That's not strictly speaking true, although I've tested it in a few different ways.
If you ask it, are there racial differences in violent crime rates, it will hem and haw and say, oh, we just don't know.
And we really don't want to know.
It won't answer.
But I believe, as I mentioned once earlier on a podcast, somebody once asked it to do a favorable and flattering introduction of Jared Taylor, assuming he's about to make a speech.
And it did a reasonably good job.
I was impressed.
So it can sometimes be tricked into doing things that are against its nature.
One, oh no, we got two more, two more comments here.
A listener sent us an announcement from Microsoft, and the announcement said this, and it came along with a picture, a photograph.
Five years ago, a group of Microsoft employees at the New England Research and Development Center launched a groundbreaking program To develop the next generation of AI leaders.
I guess this is going to be chat GPT that is even more woke.
The announcement goes on to say, with a focus on creating diverse cohorts that reflect our communities, the Microsoft AI Development Acceleration Program recruited more than 100 graduates and undergraduates, masters and PhD programs in AI-related fields.
And the photograph shows about 100 people And as our listener notes in his own commentary, there's only one white man at the very back of the crowd.
Interestingly enough, there's probably only one black man.
All the other people are everything else you can imagine.
Mostly women and mostly what looked like Middle Easterners, Asians, one black man, one white man.
So this, I guess, is the future of AI.
It's going to be even harder to trick it into writing a flattering introduction to Jared Taylor.
Maybe you could trick it if you were going to say, write a flattering obituary of Jared Taylor.
It might say, so long as he's dead, okay.
Mr. Taylor, it sounds like judging by that picture, it sounds like judging by that picture, the future of AI is DOA.
Very so.
It's probably not going to be artificial intelligence.
It's going to be entirely natural stupidity instead.
Now, here is another comment.
I am curious to know whether Mr. Taylor and Mr. Kersey recognize the name Christopher Langan.
Now, before I go any further, I have to confess that I did not recognize the name, but you, who know everything, probably do.
Do you know who Christopher Langan is?
I think I do, but I have not looked at this question, so I think I do.
Well, I wanted to catch you without any undue preparation.
Yeah, it turns out.
Well, I will go if you're if you are hesitant, he who hesitates is lost.
And that includes you now.
Apparently, Christopher Langan possesses an IQ that is in the one and a billion level of rarity.
While he's better known for his projects on philosophy and physics, he's become increasingly interested in racial issues and now holds views that are exactly in step with what American Renaissance covers.
I believe you would make an excellent interview guest.
Well, I looked up this guy, of whom I had never heard.
And Wikipedia does concede that he's a very bright boy, but Wikipedia is wringing its hands.
It is very upset because he is now supporting views that have been traditionally associated with the alt-right.
So, maybe our listener is right, and maybe I should get in touch.
We need more brains on our side.
And so finally, moving on to our first story.
It's about my favorite moron, Ibram X. Kendi.
Of course, he is an anti-racist guru and genius, not a moron.
I'm, my view is a minority one, apparently.
But as we talked about, we talked about this last week, but Boston University's Center for Anti-Racist Research, of which he was the number one top dog, it laid off at least 15 staff members in what it called an evolving process.
However, Mr. Kendi remains the director.
A certain professor named Philippe Copeland Attacked the decision to fire these 15 staffers.
He says it undermines anti-racism.
And let me quote him.
This act of employment violence and trauma is not just about individual leaders.
It's about the cultures and systems that allow racism to occur and too often rewards it.
It's a life and death matter.
Wow!
It was an act of employment violence.
He goes on to say, our students are watching and they are not fooled.
Well, I guess a number of other people are fooled, because here are some of the other staff members.
Some criticized the structure of Kendi's Center for Antiracist Research, going so far as to call it exploitative.
One person, let's see, by the name of Spencer Piston, who was faculty lead of the center's policy office, There are a number of ways it got to this point.
It started very early on when the university decided to create a center that rested in the hands of one human being, an individual given millions of dollars and so much authority.
Well, that one human being is none other than Ibram X. Kendi and Saida Grundy.
She was the former assistant director of narrative at the center.
You know, people have these strange titles these days.
Assistant Director of Narrative.
Does she tell stories to kindergartners?
I guess narrative.
That's just how to frame the way people see the world.
Frame the Anti-Racist Institute.
That's right.
That's right.
She was Assistant Director of Narrative.
So she's the one who spins things, tells a story.
She says it became very clear after I started that this was exploitative, and other faculty experienced the same and worse.
The Center had employed approximately 45 staffers, so that means there are a good 30 who are left.
But it turns out, after three years and at least $43 million in grants and gifts, there had been practically no research.
You and I discussed the $10 million that the Center got from Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
Also, TJ Maxx, Stop and Shop, and Peloton, the exercise bike company, each donated over a million dollars.
You know, as a shareholder in Peloton, I'm actually really upset about that.
I'm also really upset about being a shareholder in Peloton.
So, anyways.
That can be, that's a problem that can be easily remedied, Mr. Kersey.
Not when your cost basis is $80 and the current share price is under $10.
Are you kidding me?
Wow, that's bad.
That's bad.
That was one of those companies that went gangbusters during COVID because everyone was working out at home.
And yeah, anyways.
Well, very sorry to hear that.
Well, apparently, There is something at Boston University, which was the grandfather organization for the Center of Anti-Racism Research, called the Compliance Services Office.
It got a complaint in 2021 about the center from this very same Saeeda Grundy.
And the complaint detailed multiple high-level employees leaving suddenly and allegations of workplace culture that included fear of retaliation and discrimination.
You know, it seems that all of these outfits who are in the business of looking for discrimination are always suffering from it as well.
They're just so finely tuned to any possible bit of discrimination that they feel it and they find it under every piece of paper on their desk.
And she went on to say the pattern of amassing grants without any commitment to producing the research obligated to them Continues to be standard operating procedure at C.A.R.
That is to say, the Center for Antiracist Research.
To the best of my knowledge, there's no good faith commitment to fulfilling funded research projects at the Center.
Other former staff members said the Center appeared to prioritize funding and revenue over research.
That sounds like the Southern Poverty Law Center.
It's sitting on half a billion dollars.
Half a billion!
And it sure doesn't put out much either.
Many C.A.R.
staff members said the center was disorganized and Kendi was an incompetent leader.
My favorite moron.
There you go.
The center hired an executive director to run the operations.
In January of 2022, he left after only 14 months.
OK.
Yep.
I guess it was just an undirectable place.
So the executive director buggered off.
Spencer Piston, associate professor of political science, who works as the faculty lead in the policy office at the center.
See, it had all these different nodes, different sections.
The center has very, very much failed to deliver on its promise.
It's been a colossal waste of millions of dollars.
He said that they complained to the provost and the provost didn't even bother to reply.
He goes on to say a more appropriate response would be to remove Dr. Kendi from the directorship and hand governance over to the fired staff.
But, you know, you can't fire a black anti-racist guru.
That would be racist by definition.
That goes against the narrative, Mr. Taylor.
You're right.
Also, according to this black laddie that we talked about earlier, this Philippe, what was his name?
Philippe Copeland.
That would be, what did he call it?
Let's see.
Employment, violence and trauma.
Employment, violence and trauma.
You can't do that.
Well, apparently, another anonymous worker of Kendi's says it was all about him rather than the work.
It was just very different ways to highlight the work of the founder.
And one academic yearlong fellowship did not produce anything but promotion of Kendi's work.
These things are very strange, aren't they?
Now, I do find this is reminiscent of the complaints about Black Lives Matter.
That was another racial justice organization.
You may recall we talked about this on 2023 Black Lives Matter reported a $9 million deficit for 2022 after raising $90 million in 2020.
And only 33% of that enormous sum of $90 million went to any kind of charity or activism, and the rest of it seems to have been squandered on leaders' mansions and personal expenses and favors for friends.
Old Kendi Center and BLM followed the same routine.
Drum up rumors of racism, whoop up DEI, start an organization, lure in donors, and get paid.
You know, the other interesting thing about Ibram Kendi, he has also argued, I think in order to be truly anti-racist, you also have to truly be anti-capitalists.
Well, you know, it's funny, these anti-capitalists like the BLM ladies and Ibram Kennedy, they always end up being millionaires, don't they?
Really, I guess there's something that's a black privilege or something.
You know, the trouble with this anti-racism institute is that it was researching something that doesn't exist.
Correct.
Namely, systemic racism and white privilege.
Of course it can't do any research.
It's like asking it to, I don't know, write papers on the mating habits of angels.
There just isn't much data on the subject.
Yeah, that or, you know, some institute that has Bigfoot studies or the Loch Ness Monster Exploratory Organization.
There's probably more evidence to support the existence of Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster than there is systemic racism.
There have at least been a few claimed sightings.
Yes.
And you'll, of course, remember this.
This just fits right in.
You remember, of course, the BLM mob that tore down a statue of Edward Coulson, who was a great benefactor of the city of Bristol, England.
The statue of Coulson had stood in the center of the city since 1895.
But in 2020, That wonderful year of black liberation, a mob tore the statue down, defaced it, and pushed it into Bristol Harbor.
There was a wonderful video of this.
And the plinth was covered with graffiti, but it's still there.
Now, just as a sidelight, four people who tore the thing down and were captured on video were later found not guilty of criminal damage by a jury in 2022.
We covered that and the reasoning was just incomprehensible.
They just weren't guilty because they tore down something that deserved to be torn down.
Now, one of the organizers of the BLM riot was someone named Zahra, X-A-H-R-A, Salim, and she had set up a crowdfunding page to raise money for face masks and other equipment to fund this little demonstration and riot because it took place during the time of COVID.
Any excess funds were to go to charity, a charity called Changing Your Mindset Limited, which was a youth group based in the Bristol area that was supposed to gather money so that young people could go on a trip to Africa.
That was supposed to change their mindset.
Well, I suspect it was going to be black people who were going to be sent to Africa, and it probably wasn't going to change their mindset one little bit.
They would have come back and just convinced black power, black superiority people, but in any case, that's what it was called, changing your mindset.
Well, the protest that, or the riot, that tore down the statue got worldwide attention, and this page raised tens of thousands of pounds, but none of it ever went to changing your mindset.
Not one single thing.
And this Salim person is accused, of course, of using the money raised for herself.
She initially entered a not guilty plea.
A trial was set for December, but she recently appeared in Bristol Crown Court to change her plea to guilty.
Since then, changing her mindset has closed down, starved of funds.
A spokesman for the group says that it is still trying to retrieve the money, but that it appeared unlikely.
I suspect that Ms.
Salim has spent it all, and we can imagine on what.
But there's a certain pattern here.
These people raise money and, you know, you think they're going to spend it on some way that's useful, presumably, to their race.
And they just squandered all the way from BU to Bristol and the Black Lives Matter movement in England.
Oh dear.
But the white man never learns.
Yeah.
Maybe that's a good thing for us though.
I mean, cause that, you know, that $10 million gift from Jack Dorsey to, to, you know, that university that where Kendi was employed for the Anti-Racist Institute.
I mean, isn't it better that he basically just gave money that was set on fire than giving it to another organization?
I mean, there are a lot of NGOs, Mr. Taylor, that have their handout that are competent, that do, that do devastating work.
That's true.
That's true.
Better that Ibram got it than George Soros.
Soros knows how to spend his money, but Ibram just throws it away.
How many DA offices or how many sheriff's offices would Soros have been able to buy with that money?
$43 million.
That buys a whole lot of district attorneys.
You're right about that.
Well, Mr. Kersey, Please tell me about something I've never heard of, this place called Colony Ridge, Texas.
Rather staggering news from Colony Ridge.
This is a big story that Daily Wire, of all people, you know, as we enter this brave new world where, you know, Daily Wire's Matt Walsh is basically posting, you know, Every black on white crime story on Twitter to get massive following and massive hits.
This is a big story that they broke.
Inside Colony Ridge, the fastest growing development in the U.S.
is a magnet for illegal immigrants.
Now, this is Plum Grove, Texas.
A Texas land developer has established a sprawling settlement north of Houston, where thousands of illegal immigrants are believed to have settled, raising concerns among experts and elected officials that the development 400 miles in the interior of the U.S.
could become a strategic asset for cartels.
Located in the aptly named Liberty County, Texas, near the small town of Plum Grove, the Colony Ridge development is a sprawling community that, based on an analysis of publicly available information, is now over 60 square miles and nearly the size of the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.
Its population is estimated to be anywhere between 50,000 and 75,000.
And it's growing rapidly thanks to a marketing plan targeted at Texas's Hispanic population.
Now, the Daily Wire surveyed the development by helicopter, and I encourage all of our listeners to access this story via the Google machine and just type in Inside Colony Ridge, the fastest growing development in the U.S.
You'll be able to see this This survey, this tour by helicopter the Daily Wire did to assess the true extent of its growth.
The flight began in the wealthy Woodlands neighborhood, but it was only minutes before the designer Homes and Pools gave way to half-built homes, dilapidated trailers, and heaps of trash.
Hmm.
I guess it sounds like a kind of a Potemkin village.
They've got a few nice houses, and then, boy, the rest of it's open and welcoming to the illegals.
A massive, what is that, a favela?
Is that the correct pronunciation?
A favela, yeah.
I think so, yes.
There we go.
Yeah.
Houses on the ground fly the flags of foreign countries and many homes display their addresses on spray-painted pieces of plywood.
Many structures, some of which are not hooked up to running water, were under construction while others were unfinished but didn't appear to be actively getting worked on.
At least one plot of land didn't have any structures at all, just a tent in the corner, nestled between shrubs.
I wonder what the HOA fee on that house is.
Stray dogs without collars could be seen trotting along the side of the underdeveloped streets.
But despite what appears to be... Go ahead.
Now, Mr. Kersey, if you go to that article, they have videos of what they saw from the helicopter?
Is that it?
Yes.
Yep, you can see all of this.
I better go and take a look.
Yeah, before it's scrubbed to the internet.
But despite what appears to be poor living conditions throughout much of the development, Colony Ridge is exploding.
The view from the sky revealed a sprawling labyrinth of roundabouts and endless rows of sidewalkless streets with empty plots waiting to be developed.
The edges of the property are dotted with construction vehicles, each one tasked with cutting and clearing.
The surrounding forests to make way for yet more growth.
A calculation performed based on acreage and lot data provided on the Colony Ridge website for each of their six subdivisions found that it was already more than 60 square miles, which is bigger than major southern cities such as Fayetteville, Arkansas and Asheville, North Carolina.
Nice place to visit, the latter.
Colony Ridge, owned and operated by developer William Trey Harris, is rapidly expanding, at least in part due to financial arrangement that makes it possible for illegal aliens to buy land deep in the heart of Texas, while traditional financing methods require credit ratings and proof of income.
Todd Binsman, a National Security Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, told the Daily Wire that buyers at Colony Ridge are able to circumvent the usual requirements, even dodging the need to provide a social security number.
Because with a traditional bank loan, he said, you need to be able to show what you have a credit rating and proof of income.
Adding that the buyers at Colony Ridge are asked to pay as little as a few hundred dollars as a down payment.
The loan is directly from the developer bypassing traditional mortgages.
And while the buyer might pay high interest rates near 15 percent, it's a great deal for someone with no other option to buy land in the country.
Bensman explained Colony Ridge and Liberty County, Texas.
Mr. Taylor, that seems to be an enclave for a lot of illegal alien activity.
I mean, this sounds like it's an implantation of pure third world.
You can get a loan with a down payment of, did you say several hundred dollars?
Yeah.
Well, boy, if the bank has a security interest in a tent on the corner of a lot, it might not get any of that back.
Like I said, I'd love to know what the HOA fees in the neighborhood are anyways.
Wow.
And it's growing like mad.
I wonder why, I guess they took a helicopter ride because it's so big and they wanted to get a good look at it.
It's not as though you can't just drive down the streets, I suppose.
That might be interesting, too.
Wow, what a place!
Colony Ridge, Texas.
Well, I'll take my next vacation there.
I don't think I'll take my next vacation to Philadelphia.
You, I'm sure, have been following this, but at 9 p.m.
last Sunday, someone by the name of Dejah Blackwell, One of our African-American lady fellow citizens told her 181,000 Instagram Instagram followers to gather on Walnut Street in downtown Philly.
And by 10 p.m., the young woman who calls herself Meatball online and judging from her photo, she got that absolutely right.
She was excitedly filming a mob as it looted Apple, Lululemon, or is it Lululemon?
I never know.
Yeah, Lululemon.
Lululemon.
I like Lululemon.
And Footlocker before moving on to a liquor store where she boasted of grabbing a bottle of Hennessy herself.
The video footage showed staff in an Apple store trying to hold the door closed until a group of masked marauders overpowered them and stole all the cell phones on display And meanwhile, she can be heard laughing and clapping in the clip, shouting, free iPhones!
Free iPhones!
That's meatball for you.
Then the black mob went on to loot all the laptops and tablets, and they came out of the store and smashed them on the sidewalk.
Great.
They hit at least 18 state-run liquor stores.
And so the liquor board closed down all of its stores in Philadelphia.
Photos of a sporting goods store at a mall showed mannequins and sneakers scattered all over the sidewalk.
I mean, I'm sure that's just a charming sight.
You know, mannequins just knocked around and with their arms torn off.
It's a little bit spooky because they kind of look like human beings.
The mob also looted three pharmacies, a hair salon, a tax prep company, and a cell phone store.
Time out, time out, time out, time out.
What are they stealing from a tax prep company?
You know, a Texas instrument calculator?
Maybe.
TurboTax?
Software?
Come on.
Probably.
They thought there might be money there.
They saw the word tax in there.
They figured that's where all their tax money ended up, as if they paid any.
And let's see, a fellow named Benjamin Nahum, the pharmacist and store manager at Patriot Pharmacy, said that this is the third time since 2020, that magical year, that his business had been hit.
And the thefts and unrest stretched from downtown to northeast and west Philadelphia, leaving smashed display windows and broken storefronts.
Police, however, caught up with Meatball a little after midnight.
And she was still filming herself on Instagram when she told the police, we didn't have anything to do with this.
Well, of course, she was in the thick of it, sharing incriminating footage of her friends and of herself.
Turns out she just wanted 52 looters who were taken into custody.
And on her Instagram account, Deja, otherwise known as Meatball, said that the evening's folic was to fight the injustice.
Fight the injustice.
You know, why do people like meatball think they can get away with this?
Well, because, because they can!
Most of the time, nothing happens.
Meatball privilege.
Yes, meatball privilege.
Well, and Mayor Jim Kenney, I believe, is he an African-American also?
Maybe, maybe not.
He said, this is not shoplifting.
This is looting.
I guess if it were merely shoplifting, that would be just fine.
Well, there's a follow-up to the story.
Just last night, they had the second consecutive night of widespread looting.
Footage showed hooded women, I guess without meatballs instigation at all, grabbing supplies from a beauty store and the glass windows of a liquor store shattered.
And this was after the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board closed all of its locations because 18 of them had been looted the night before.
The shelves were emptied and boxes and broken bottles lined the floor and the thieves made off with a safe and a lottery machine from the state-run chain store.
Well, of course, you know, the liquor board closed them all down.
The brothers need a drink for heaven's sake.
And store security footage showed a group of women busting through the glass front door of Nate's Beauty Supply early Thursday morning.
They could be seen indiscriminately pulling hair extensions and wigs off the shelf.
And the owner, Claudia Silmeas, opened it just six months before.
Oh gosh, they sisters, they need their wigs!
They need their hair!
It doesn't matter that the woman who owns the store is black.
I guess she's just a tool of white supremacy.
And of course, a sneaker store was also looted in the second night of rioting.
The necessities of life have to be secured.
Meanwhile, you're in my favorite police chief, Daniel Outlaw.
She had been Philadelphia's top cop, clearly doing a great job, since February 2020.
She officially left the department on September 22nd, leaving behind Meatball and all her friends.
Meatball's accolades, right?
Yeah.
But now she's got a new job, Ms.
Danielle Outlaw.
She is going to be the Deputy Chief Security Officer at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Now, I think that sends a great message to all the terrorists out there.
transportation infrastructure in New York City.
Now I think that sends a great message to all the terrorists out there.
This utter failure is going to be guarding New York City's infrastructure.
Wow, wow.
Talk about falling, talk about failing upward.
This is, this just shows, I mean, maybe one of our listeners out there,
maybe one of our listeners out there wants to help us out.
I would love to know of the top 50 most populated major cities in the US,
what percentage of them have a black female police chief or a black male police chief.
I would argue, Mr. Taylor, without even looking at the data, it's got to be 75% BIPOC in charge of these police departments of the 50 most populated cities.
Well, 50 cities, that's a lot to look up.
But still, yeah, that the real fashion these days is to have a black woman running your police department.
If you don't have that, gosh, you're just obviously a white supremacist.
But, you know, there doesn't seem to be that there's going to be any worry at all for those who patronize Philadelphia's cheesesteak shop, is there?
Everything else is going to hell, but if you want a cheesesteak, you're in good shape.
So this story predates the riots.
Again, we're talking on the 28th of September, Year of Our Lord 2023.
This story was published on September 19th, about a week ago, about a week and a half ago.
Somebody knew what was likely.
Good.
Very good.
Yeah.
Uh, fascinating story here.
Armed guards patrol outside Philadelphia Cheese Steak Shop amid crime concerns.
This is where we are.
This is where we are before Meatball and her acolytes got together to go, you know, rob a tax prep place and a liquor store.
Whatever's available.
Yeah, you know, they can resell some of the TurboTax software, I guess, on Craigslist or whatever.
Not to any of their friends.
They're not paying taxes on that liquor.
Armed guards wearing bulletproof vests and carrying rifles now patrol the streets outside a Philadelphia cheese steak shop, according to a local report.
Jim's West Stakes and hoagies has generated so much excitement over its recent reopening that lines now stretch down the block.
ABC 6 out of Philadelphia reports, though their presence is intimidating to some, the guards have no issue with customers as store owners have taken upon themselves to hire the guards as a crime deterrent measure.
Now store owners explained the decision was due to increased violence in the area.
Hey, the violence has spiked.
Co-owner Cortez Johnson told ABC 6, quote, You want to feel safe and be safe so when they come out and eat, they don't have to worry about no type of harm, end quote.
The guards are employees of security company Presidential Protection Services, and each is sworn and certified by the state while off duty from other work like military service or law enforcement.
Hiring the guards, Tornowners says, is a necessary precaution required to operate their business.
Again, we're talking about Philadelphia, not far from where the Declaration of Independence was signed, Mr. Taylor, by our founding fathers.
You now have to have guards carrying AR-15s and other semi-automatic weaponry
just so that an individual can go and enjoy a cheesesteak or a hoagie.
They say that it's a necessary precaution required to operate their business.
Whew! Wonders never cease, do they?
Well, I guess if you're worried, you can be very reassuring.
Bulletproof vests, flak jackets, and ARs?
Wow!
Boy, those are the best-guarded cheesesteaks and hoagies in the entire country, I imagine.
I'm surprised they don't just pass out bulletproof vests to all the people waiting in line.
That might make them feel safer.
That's expensive.
That's expensive.
Well, I mean, what else is a solution in a country dominated by the Civil Rights Act of 1964?
I'm not sure you've had a chance to read Richard Hanania's book yet, but it's a spectacular read.
I believe there's a review of the book at AR.com, emrin.com, if I'm not mistaken.
There is.
Yes.
But here's one more quote from this article.
Our lines are down the block, so while you're standing here in line, connecting with other people, you may not know we have security right here just to keep you guys safe, Saul Landers, the CFO of Jim's West said.
If you want to secure your business and you want to make sure everyone is safe, you have to spend that extra money, end quote.
Landers, if you didn't have such a diverse population where basically every homicide and non-fatal shooting is committed by a black or brown individual in Philadelphia, you wouldn't have to worry about that.
The article ends with pointing out that in 2022, the city saw 516 homicides.
He saw 516 homicides.
And so far in 2023, there have been 313, which is a 19% year to date decrease, but they're
still well above the average that Mr. Taylor, they saw prior to George Floyd dying in police
custody.
Mr. Kersey, I have to absent myself very briefly, so I'm going to leave you in a solo performance for about 10 seconds.
Just keep talking in your usual brilliant way.
I will keep talking, yeah.
This is where that indispensableity comes into play.
Jim's West is not the first business in the city of Philadelphia to take drastic measures to protect its property and customers.
Neil Patel, who owns a gas station in North Philadelphia, hired private security to patrol
the property after the ATM at his store was stolen twice over the course of a few weeks.
Now again, all this, everything we've just talked about, ladies and gentlemen, the story,
it predates the riots, the groups of teens, the group of Meatball and her acolytes.
I should say, as you're laughing, there was a great story in the Philadelphia Inquirer
that noted that all of the shenanigans that we've seen play out were coordinated by a
social media, uh, days in advance.
So they were planning to do this with the police knowing full well that, oh, hey, this is happening.
And I mean, the reports that I saw, the police were drastically outnumbered by these exuberant teens.
Well, the story I read about Meatball said that she sent out her alert
to her 181,000 Instagram followers at 9 p.m.
And then by 10 p.m., an hour later, they were in mid-loot.
So I don't know if it was days in advance.
In that case, it doesn't sound like it.
But in some of these others, perhaps they do.
They gear up days in advance.
You really just get an invading army together before they hit Philadelphia.
Yeah, I mean, there's nothing else to say.
I mean, in Philadelphia, I remember well, I'll tell that story later.
But I again, I have no desire to go to New York City.
I have no desire to go to Washington, D.C., where these stories of just the horror of how bad crime has gotten there.
And if you remember a few years ago, Mr. Taylor, they painted Defund the Police and Black Lives Matter on some of the streets.
And now the mayor is calling for more police.
It's there in D.C.
So it's just I mean, there's a lot of cool things to see in these cities, but you know what?
There's a lot of cool things to see far away from these cities that won't put you at harm's risk.
And guess what?
I'm sure there are a lot of places in the country where you can go get a delicious cheesesteak without having to look and see guys carrying AR-15s just to keep you safe as you wait in line.
Well, if you're going to skip Baltimore and Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
and New York City, just put Colony Ridge.
On your bucket list.
That sounds like a very, very edifying place.
I want to get a good look at that place.
I think they've got good carnitas there.
Probably so.
Probably so.
Now here's a story.
The U.S.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission requires companies with 100 or more employees to report their workforce demographics every year.
Well, Bloomberg News got 2020 and 2021 data for 88 of the S&P 100 companies.
That's 88 percent.
Pretty good.
And calculated overall U.S.
job growth at those firms.
In total, they increased their U.S.
workforce by 323,094 people.
That's a third of a million people in 2021.
That was the first year after the BLM riots and the most recent year for which data exists.
Of that number, and this was a real surprise to me, whites of that a third of a million in their increase in employment constituted only 6%.
Only 6% Of the 323,094 people who added to the payroll of 88 of the 100 S&P 100 companies were white.
Hispanics were 40%, blacks 23%, Asians 22%, and others, I'm not sure exactly who they would be under the circumstances, but 8%.
Even the others, these undefined others, were more likely to get jobs at these big companies than whites.
The group of companies in the data set employ more than 9 million people at some of the country's largest and most lucrative firms.
And this includes Apple, Walmart, Wells Fargo, etc.
While the biggest shifts in 2021, after that epic making year of 2020, the biggest shifts were in lower paying job categories.
But the trend is throughout the entire workforce, well paid and powerful managerial and professional roles as well.
Even at the top executive level, more than half of the added jobs went to workers of color.
So whites got a minority of the top jobs.
At companies where overall employment shrank in 2021, white workers were 68.5% of the losses.
white workers were 68.5% of the losses, in other words, a majority.
9.7% were Hispanic, 2.3% were Asian, and 16.5% were black.
The largest number by far were whites, out the door.
About half of the firms in the S&P 100, including Amazon, Pepsi-Cola, Meta, that used to be Facebook, and Microsoft, set ambitious targets for increasing their share of people of color at the top.
Amazon set out to double the number of black vice presidents and directors, and Microsoft pledged to double black managers and senior leaders by 2025.
That wasn't very much time.
Four or five years.
Double the number of black managers and senior leaders.
And of those that didn't make specific problems, there were public acknowledgments that they needed to do better.
Walmart's CEO said that Top management was not as diverse as we would want, while Nike and Lowe's company were among many companies that joined 110.
I'd never heard of them, but they're a group that aims to get one million black employees middle-class jobs within a decade.
One million!
You know, if I could jump in, Mr. Taylor, Nike's decline in white employees was shocking to see in that chart.
That was one of the ones that stood out in Bloomberg, identified and isolated as being the shining example, this beacon of success in the post-George Floyd era.
And you're just looking at this, it's like, What?
You're basically confirming that adage that diversity is just getting rid of white people.
This was an astonishing study that Bloomberg put out.
Yes, and Bloomberg seems to think it's great.
They don't have the slightest reservation about what's going on, as they put out.
At Nike, Black, Hispanic, and Asian people were added at every rank up and down the executive chain at their Beaverton, Oregon-based headquarters.
At the same time, the company lost white workers at every level.
So, everybody else up, whites down.
Even at companies that lost workers, such as Lowe's and Home Depot, people of color entered the year with a bigger share of the overall workforce, And this goes to show you that companies are being mindful, according to Bloomberg, about not just cutting the most recently hired workers who tend to be people of color, but cutting white people.
That is the latest fashion.
Yeah, it's stark.
As I say, some of the graphics on this are just extraordinary.
And I was looking for some hint In this Bloomberg article that well maybe there's nothing there's something not quite right about this but no Bloomberg was just cheerleading and applauding and clapping and jumping up and down the whole time.
Meanwhile and I think this is equally interesting and well is it equally unsurprising?
I don't know.
Target plans to close nine locations across four states citing elevated levels of theft and safety concerns for shoppers and employees.
So while they Carve out, throw out white people, they're closing stores too.
Yeah.
Stores in New York City, Seattle, San Francisco and Portland will close, effective October 21st.
Retailers say they're facing a growing wave of theft.
We just heard about that in Philadelphia, didn't we?
And they are locking up more merchandise on shelves, hiring off-duty cops and closing hard-hit stores.
Walmart earlier this year closed stores in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Portland.
Nike, good old Nike, it, despite the fact that it's run increasingly by non-whites, it temporarily closed one of its Portland stores last year amid problems with theft, and then finally decided the location would close for good.
We talked about this before.
The store is this huge building, huge building.
I wonder what they're going to do with that building.
I guess it'll be a bum shelter.
Three of the stores that Target said it would close are in the San Francisco area, a place that has had a number of high-profile retail defections.
Target said theft was, quote, threatening the safety of our team and guests and contributing to unsustainable losses.
That's pretty blunt.
It also said, investments made to prevent theft, such as adding security guards, using third party guard services, and using theft deterrent tools haven't done the job.
Like our hoagie store in Philadelphia.
All you got to do is hire a bunch of big white dudes with AR-15s and I think that's going to be a deterrent as you wait in line to get your... Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
They're not going to shoot shoplifters.
You know they're not.
They're going to, they will open fire only, they may return fire.
But if you go in there and steal a hoagie, are they going to shoot you dead?
No, no way.
No way.
It's pure window dressing.
And as we know, the police are not going to come.
The police are not going to bother to come.
It's outrageous.
Yeah.
A CVS store in Mesa, Arizona was fatally shot early this year after suspecting a man was stealing from the store.
Chief Executive Brian Cornell said the company has seen a 120% increase in thefts involving violence in the first five months of this year.
Pretty exciting stuff, isn't it?
Well, Mr. Kersey, I think you have a story about Hassan Minhaj, who is somebody I'd never heard of, but is apparently important enough to make the news.
I have two things I want to bring up before we move on.
One, CVS is closing 900 stores or 10% of the stores they have opened because of rampant theft.
900, 900.
That is a shocking figure.
Yeah.
It's a story that I wish we would have talked about because this is actually, and I almost think we need to do two of these a week because there's so much crazy stuff going on out there.
I mean the country, the country, you think about what's happened since 2020 and just where we're headed as, as, as you know, target is basically saying we can't keep these stores open.
I want to give you a quick, A quick background of that Harlem Target.
Back in August 13th, 2010, the New York Times did a cover story of the opening of this store, and they wrote, a decade of wooing wins a Harlem store for Target.
Again, ladies and gentlemen, you can go to Google, type in New York Times, and then quote, a decade of wooing wins a Harlem store for Target, end quote.
Well, as you stated, Mr. Taylor, one of the stores closing is that very same East Harlem store.
And there's a great story.
East Harlem community left reeling by announcement of Target store closure, which is from ABC7NY.com.
And they talk about how, you know, we fought so hard for this, and I just want to read one quote for you.
In this tight-knit community of black and Latino families where specialized mom-and-pop stores and street vendors line the avenues, Target represents values and convenience for general merchandise at an affordable price, all for people on a fixed income and all within walking distance from home.
Well, it's going to be mighty affordable if you don't pay for it.
You're right about that.
Very affordable.
Exactly.
No, I mean, this is you.
You think about all that's happening where all these stores are putting.
What was the story in Washington, D.C.?
There are no they're putting Tide and the products that people will go and resell across the street behind Plexiglas.
I mean, you couldn't you couldn't see, you know, you have Adam Smith had the invisible hand of economics.
All of this is just the visible black hand of economics.
The visible hand of black retail theft, the visible hand of Latino retail theft.
And the consequences are, you're starting to see pressure from shareholders saying, this can't go on when Target is losing $200 million of merchandise every quarter, which is impacting the bottom line, which is what you're seeing.
But the story that you're talking about, that you asked me to read, Well, I guess we'll have to do that very quickly.
I did want to point out, this is a total collapse of civilization.
And what's going to happen to all these big retail stores?
What's going to take their place?
Target is a big place.
What's going to go in there instead?
I bet if they don't lock it up completely like Fort Knox, there'll be dozens, maybe hundreds of people living in there.
Anyway, yes, back to Mr. Minaj, and you'll have to be concise.
Yeah, comedian Hassan Minaj, under fire for fabrication of routines, portraying himself as a victim of racism.
Stand-up comedian Hassan Minaj revealed that many elements of his routines, portraying himself to be a victim of racism in America, were simply fabricated.
When supply When demand outpaces supply for racism, guess what?
A comedian's got to make it up.
A profile of Minaj appearing in the New Yorker on a couple Fridays ago highlighted the popular comedian and host of the Netflix show Patriot Act made up details of trademark bits, such as a prom date dumping him based on his skin color.
During another bit, Minaj lied about rushing his daughter to the hospital after receiving an envelope he thought contained anthrax.
Every story of my style is built around a seed of truth.
My comedy is Arnold Palmer is 70% of truth.
This happened and then 30% hyperbole exaggeration fiction.
On other occasions, he's touted his ability to recognize FBI informants sent to surveil
the Muslim community in the wake of 9-11 and claimed he confronted Jared Kushner at a Time
100 gala for supposedly taking the seat of a Saudi dissident.
Quote, you have got to take the shots you were given in life even if they're built on a lie, Minaj told The New Yorker, defending his practice of fudging stories.
The emotional truth is first, the factual truth is secondary.
No, I don't think, oh, go ahead.
Oh, that sounds like the motto of black people.
The emotional truth comes first, to hell with the facts.
Yep, that's the way they seem to operate.
You can make a lot of money doing it, clearly.
Or you can have a lot of Instagram followers and Meatball can say, hey, follow me to let's raid Philadelphia and get as much free loot, free liquor, free Apple products, free Foot Locker apparel, and just have a wonderful time.
And with pure emotion, Ibram Kendi can shake down white people for $43 million.
Boy, it's big time stuff.
Who cares about the truth when you're black?
Like I said, it's better that that money went to Ibram Kendi than it went to George Soros.
You're absolutely right.
And I know we're coming up at the end of the time, Mr. Taylor, so how can all of our listeners around the world and across this great nation get in touch with us?
There are two ways.
One works just as well as the other.
One is to go to amren.com, A-M-R-E-N dot com.
That is the central node of American Renaissance, and you'll find a Contact Us tab.
And please send your ideas for stories, your comments, your corrections.
We do like corrections because we don't like to broadcast fake news.
All of them go to amren.com, the Contact Us tab, and things will come straight to me.
Otherwise, you have a different choice.
Yeah, really simple.
Just go to your email service and send me an email at becausewelivehereatproton.me.
Once again, that email address is becausewelivehereatproton.me.
And, Mr. Kersey, can you repeat that figure of CVSs that are being shut down?
Do I remember that correctly?
Yeah, they're shutting down 900 CVS's across the country.
And that's 10 drugstores.
OK, it's fascinating.
So hold on.
Number two, just to finish it off, CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid to close nearly 1,500 stores combined.
But CVS, this is from the Daily Mail two days ago.
900 stores by the end of 2024, 10% as they move to an online model of delivering the product because that way you at least know that it's going to arrive at the home unless some porch pirate comes and steals it.
So again, you're right.
Civilization is breaking down before our eyes and it's because of the cowardice of, let's just say it, individual white people collectively acquiescing to the decline of our nation.
And with that, ladies and gentlemen, We must leave you after this hour that we consider a great joy and a privilege that we spend with you, and we look forward to doing the same a week from today.
