More Blacks Buying Guns

Time Text
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Radio Renaissance.
I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance, and with me is my indispensable co-host, Paul Kersey.
The date is March 16th, Year of Our Lord 2022, and alas and alack, the war in Ukraine is still going on.
We don't plan to talk much about it, but I must express my sense of horror and tragedy at these two nations, two white nations, with terrible sub-replacement level population growth, population shrinkage, young men slaughtering each other, I hope with all my capacity to hope that this slaughter ends soon, and that's all I plan to say on this terrible, tragic event that's taking place today.
The word tragedy is too often used, but this is in fact a tragedy, and I hope it ends as soon as possible.
As usual, we'll begin with comments from our well-informed listeners.
We were talking last week about the fact that blacks are only one-quarter as likely to wear bicycle helmets and that Medicaid recipients were only one-fifth as likely as privately insured people to wear bike helmets.
So if they're injured, the Medicaid, that's the one that's paid by the taxpayer to people who can't afford private insurance and aren't old enough to qualify for Medicare.
They are the ones who are being the most irresponsible with their health.
And a commenter writes, we should require any Medicaid recipient to wear a helmet, just as we require or should require any welfare recipient to wear a helmet of a different kind, i.e.
contraception.
Our listener says, I favor long-term methods of birth control being mandatory, such as Norplant or sterilization for those who are on the dole.
Well, I agree.
I think if you are being fed, housed, and clothed at public expense, you have lost the right to bring more mouths into the world for the rest of us to try to feed, house, clothe, and try to educate.
And this same listener says, as for the story about the SPLC saying the number of hate groups is falling, but the amount of hate is not, he says, as observing this as an old investment banker, I would say that there's a lot of hate groups are consolidating, a lot of M&A activity among these hate groups.
Okay.
They're consolidating.
I'm sure Goldman Sachs is making a fortune on fees with all this M&A activity.
A little arbitrage going on, huh?
And yet another comment, and here we stand corrected, or we sit corrected, depending on what our posture is.
I rather foolishly said, and Mr. Kersey, hats off to you, you doubted the veracity of this observation, but I said that last year there'd been not one single murder in either New Hampshire or Vermont.
That seems, that just, again, I just...
You were right and I was wrong.
And a reader points out, yes, murder rates are low, but they are not zero.
And as our listener points out, when it comes to New Hampshire murders in 2020, the year that I said there was none, there were 12.
And this is sort of the record.
2015, there were 15.
2016, there were 17.
The next year, 13.
The next year, 21.
2019 was a bad year for New Hampshireites.
33 people were killed.
But then in 2020, only 12.
2019 was a bad year for new habitats, 33 people were killed, but then in 2020 only 12.
It is, by the way, a constitutional carry state.
So, the fact that people can carry weapons without any kind of government interference
does not really seem to be pushing up the murder rate, which is what the opposition, the gun control fanatics,
would always tell us.
You know, a couple weeks ago we talked about how Alabama, there was a push against Alabama becoming a constitutional carry state because Montgomery the capital of Alabama and home to a certain four letter
acronym organization. There was so much black on black crime they said we can't have
constitutional carry. This is terrible because blacks can't help themselves with shooting one
another. I would like to congratulate the great state of Alabama. They're yet another
constitutional carry state that just passed.
I believe there are now 22 of them.
Correct.
That's not enough.
We gotta keep going.
That's right.
50 is our goal.
Next door, Maryland, is one of the most restrictive states in the entire union.
I hate having to cross the border.
But that'll be a long haul to turn it constitutional.
Now, our listener writes that also Vermont.
Wrong about that, too.
Taylor was wrong.
From 2012 to 2021, there was an average of 12 murders a year.
2017 was the worst year with 17 in the entire state of Vermont, 14 in 2020, but only nine in 2021.
Maybe on a good year, they will reach zero.
I'll point out that it is also a constitutional carry state.
And these really not only have a very, very low number of murders, and given their population size, their murder rate is extremely low.
They're usually vying for number one and two in terms of the lowest rates of murder.
But, just coincidentally, they're overwhelmingly white.
Now, I'm afraid we do have to talk about Jussie Smollett.
Do we?
Our favorite hate crime hoaxer.
Yep, he got 30 months probation and the judge said you will spend the first 150 days of your sentence in the Cook County Jail.
The theory was, if he behaved himself, he'd be released within 75 days.
The judge also ordered him to pay $120,106 in restitution to the city of Chicago and a $25,000 fine, both figures of which were the maximum possible.
But, once he got out of jail and was to be on probation, he was able to travel wherever he wanted.
He would not be required to live in Illinois and would be allowed to report to his probation officer by phone.
That is pretty ritzy treatment.
The judge decided on this because he knew that Brother Smollett might need to go to New York or Los Angeles or such places for work as the media star that he continues to be.
Now, I found this quite interesting.
Mr. Smollett's family stood in the gallery, as the sentence was announced, waving their fists, black power style.
And Smollett himself raised his fist at the end, saying, I'm innocent!
Now, this is the aspect of it that intrigues me.
Defense lawyer Nenye Uche, part of his all-black defense team, told the press that they strongly believe Mr. Smollett is innocent.
That's hard to believe.
Lawyers usually, I mean, have to see both sides of a case in order to argue unintelligently.
You would think so, but I think you know that in our current country, that's not the case.
Well, and he says, the lawyer says, this sentence today calls attention to what black people in the United States have been complaining about for a long, long time.
Injustice.
Despite innocence, obvious innocence, they're railroaded by white judges.
And Smollett's sister Jazz.
Did you know he has a sister named Jazz?
I didn't know that.
Age 41.
Also says he's innocent.
What should be controversial is the entire miscarriage of justice this whole ordeal has been, she said.
And his brother Jackie, spelled J-A-C-Q-U-I.
I didn't know Jackie existed.
Oh, Jackie, age 32.
Just as adamant, calling brother Jussie a complete victim.
Of course, Smollett himself is calling the sentence proof of systemic racism.
And then there is Taraji P. Henson, a black movie starlet who played Smollett's fictional mom in the Fox drama in which he starred, shared a post called Free Jussie.
I'm not here to debate with you his innocence, but we can agree that the punishment does not fit the crime.
She compared the sentence to what happened to Emmett Till.
Just as bad.
Him going to jail for 150 days is as bad as him until being killed.
Well, I think that's a bit of a disproportionate sense of injustice.
And then the social media post comes after Brother Jackie urged supporters to flood social media with posts hashtagged Free Jussie.
Well, the flood must have worked.
It did.
It did.
I guess those judges read hashtags posts that say Free Jussie because Mr. Smollett walked out of the Cook County Jail 8 p.m.
last night with his lawyers.
And there was a one-page order issued by the Illinois Appellate Court stating that he was to be released after signing a $150,000 recognizance bond, which didn't even require him to post any money.
Now the three panel judge was split two to one.
There was a dissent.
Two of the justices agreeing to grant the motion.
The only explanation offered was that he had never been convicted of a violent offense and he would have completed his sentence of incarceration before the appeal is decided.
So, theoretically, this could go the other way.
At a higher level of court, he could go back to jail.
My guess is he is never going back.
He's out, and you talk about in like Flint.
Well, I think he's out like Flint.
Now, this is just astonishing to me, but I guess astonishment is naive on my part.
All of the utterly non-violent people who strolled through the Capitol, they were non-violent too.
Some of them had no records at all.
They didn't commit perjury time after time after time, as Jesse Smollett did on the stand.
Some of them are going to be in the pokey for a long time.
So this is quite disgusting to me.
Well, some of them continue to be in the pokey without even having the opportunity to stand before a judge and protest.
Try and have some adjudication to end their incarceration.
But Jussie Darling is out!
Free as a bird, but I suppose he's still not... See, I don't know whether this affects his probation.
I assume he's probably still on probation, but his is a sort of a fake probation because he can jet around all the... jet all over the country, talk to his probation officer by phone.
Anyway, this... You know, Mr. Taylor, you think about how weird the past three years have been.
We talk about how it's now... what is it?
It's March...
Just a day after the Ides of March, March 16th.
March 16th.
2022, year of our Lord.
It was in January of 2019, we really saw the country begin to shift.
You had that incident with the high school students in DC.
Yes.
The Covington boys.
The Covington boys.
And then about a month later, that was when the Justice Millette stuff started.
Now you think about how we've been living under this continuous cloud of... it's as if this white supremacy cloud has covered the entire country.
And we know that that is completely farcical.
And yet, as the farce becomes more and more obvious, it's as if the cloud becomes more and more...
Gray and ominous.
Well, on the subject of white supremacy being this terrible menace that threatens our very democracy, we have an interesting item on the website by Chris Roberts that just highlights what's on the FBI's list of terrorists.
Correct.
I saw that.
It was a great piece by Chris.
Yes.
Excellent piece.
Excellent piece.
And gosh, where are the white supremacists?
Aren't we supposed to be the worst possible threat?
Aren't we shaking the foundations of democracy every time we walk to the bathroom?
But no, the white supremacists are not to be found.
In any case, but Mr. Kersey, be in light of this white supremacist stormtrooper state in which we live.
More blacks are buying guns, right?
But there could be a downside.
This is one of the big stories of 2021.
We saw that the rise in violence, we saw that the proliferation of government money and the stimulus money was driving, you know, gun sales to rise a little bit. Well, NPR put out a story
that I found, and I think you also found worthy of commenting upon. The title was
this, More Black Americans are buying guns. Is it driving up black suicide rates?
A big problem, big social problem.
Big social problem.
No one asks, NPR never asks, as you said prior to us starting, is it driving up homicide rates?
Is it driving up non-fatal shooting rates?
We want to believe, and the mainstream media, Gannett would want us to believe that ghost guns are driving up non-fatal shootings, homicides across the country, but hey, you know what?
Maybe it's this story that we're about to talk about.
Yeah, it's all these legally bought guns by blacks, you know.
So real quick, they start the story off by showing that nationwide surveys found that 25% of black Americans only got in 2021 up 14% six years earlier.
From six years earlier?
That's quite a lot.
I agree.
I agree.
So gun buying among blacks has soared in recent years.
However, at the same time, Suicide rates have increased among young black men.
Experts believe the trends may be linked, maybe correlation, because having a gun in the home increases suicide risk exponentially for every person who lives there.
Exponentially.
Exponentially.
Good grief.
These people don't understand math.
No, but that's the square of the number of guns.
It's a spooky word they use to point out.
Exactly.
If there are two guns, that means you're four times more likely to die.
If there are three guns, you're nine times more likely to die.
But if there are four guns, oh my gosh, it's obvious.
Then you're all going to be dead.
Yes.
Uh, so, um, we have a situation where gun enthusiasts say that the newest generation of gun owners sometimes lack the training information they need to keep themselves safe around firearms.
Mr. Taylor, you've been around firearms for most of your adult life.
Uh, probably I would say in your home, I'm not going to guess.
I mean, how many guns you have, but don't ask, don't tell.
No.
I heard you had a boating accident.
Maybe you have none, right?
None, none, none.
They all fell off out of the canoe.
You practiced gun safety, right?
When you had guns?
When you have no guns in the house, you have complete gun safety.
It's interesting.
They then point out that homicides in Missouri reached a record high in 2020, spurring even more people to buy guns.
Now, I'm going off on a tangent here, but there was a great piece at Amarin.com written by Am I even Paul Kersey?
I don't know.
Which pointed out that in Missouri, yes, it does have one of the highest rates of homicide by firearm, yet it's largely due to two cities that have some of the highest homicide rates in the country, non-fatal shooting rates.
That's Kansas City, that's St.
Louis, and that's due to the black residents, black individuals who are collectively behind the bulk of the gun crime.
Again, One of the things that you and I have always talked about, and we've done this podcast for, my gosh, going on six years, if you had an honest press, you would always have to point out who is behind the gun crime in these states, who's behind the gun crime in these cities.
I think our listeners know that.
Well, you know that, but the New York City Police Department just published their amazing
data on violent crime and the people who are behind it, suspects, those who are arrested.
And it turns out that just like every other year, New York had one of its record years,
New York City, I believe it was non-fatal shootings.
It was about 98% of those arrested.
Now remember, I believe New York City has a clearance rate below 50%.
All for murder?
For non-fatal shootings.
Oh, it's well below 50%.
For murder, I won't say it's even below 50%.
Even murder is below 50%.
And for murder, it was about 95% of those arrested were non-whites.
New York City is about 33% white.
Same thing for non-fatal shootings.
98% of those arrested.
I mean, again, if you had an honest press, this is where you'd have that conversation.
You know, if, in other words, if you swapped out all the non-whites and swapped in whites who are just as crime-prone as the current whites, you could defund the police.
You really could?
You really could.
Yes, exactly.
All that shooting would stop, or almost all that shooting.
You'd have to have a few part-time cops, maybe.
So this NPR article goes on, again, went off on a minor tangent, but the point is, it's every city.
It's, again, they're trying to highlight Missouri.
Point is this, ladies and gentlemen, we know who is committing the bulk of the fatal, non-fatal shooting.
We know who is behind suicides.
Brookings Institute, we've talked about the study, where they pointed out that the majority of whites who die by gun violence, it's by suicide.
It's terrible.
It's an interesting, almost perfect mirror image split.
In the case of blacks, 85% of gun deaths are homicides, 15% are suicide.
In the case of whites, it's about 20% homicide and 80% suicide.
Whites, when they turn a gun on somebody, they turn a gun on themselves.
And it's almost always old white men who've decided it's time to peg out.
They don't kill other people, they kill themselves.
Yeah, it's funny, this article goes on and just has a lot of conjecture, but then it gets to the nitty-gritty of the story.
For decades, the suicide rate of older white men has been among the highest in the U.S., in part because of their high rates of gun ownership.
Well, they might choose some other method, but anyway, yes.
Having a gun in the home increases the suicide risks For everyone who lives there.
However, suicide rates among young black men increased almost 50% nationally from 2013 to 2019.
Suicide rate for young black children 5 to 12 has climbed and is more than double the rate for younger white children.
Now that actually was kind of shocking.
But the thing is, would you think that that's just accidental shooting a black kid?
No, they say suicide.
They say suicide.
They do?
Well, for years and years and years and years, white suicides have been higher than black suicides in all age groups, both sexes.
But they say in young children, blacks are now committing suicide more often than white children.
Black children ages 5 to 12 has climbed and is more than double the rate for younger white children.
Those numbers must be tiny.
How many people age 5 through 12 actually kill themselves?
Unfortunately, I've got a piece of paper.
I can't click the URL.
That's underscored here.
But no, I'm sure it is infinitesimal.
That's a tiny, tiny, tiny number.
Exactly.
It's fascinating.
Then we have this story here, next paragraph.
Although the overall suicide rate for white Americans That's right.
The fact that whites kill themselves more often than blacks, who cares?
But if black people start killing themselves more often, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, we're all concerned, we're all worried.
And of course, if it were the other way around, if blacks were killing themselves more often than whites, that would be proof of systemic racism.
Implicit bias, redlining, white privilege.
Here's where it gets even more fuzzy.
Azriel co-authored a new study estimating that from January 2019 to April 2021, around 16 million Americans had guns introduced to their homes for the first time.
Of the new buyers, about 20% were black.
We're black.
Okay.
Interesting.
So 3.2 million.
Well, so the question is of these 16 million, how many killed themselves?
Come on, lady, tell us!
Well, of that, of 20%, you're talking about 3.2 million.
How many of those 3.2 million that were black killed themselves?
I mean, this is just all speculation, but... Azriel says it's time to update about some since you may be in danger.
Quote, gun ownership is more diverse now.
And so when we talk to people about the risks of guns, we want to make sure we're reaching out across the board and not just the people we've typically thought of As gun owners in the past.
Well, again, if gun ownership has increased by 20% for blacks from January 2019 to April 2021, 16 million Americans had guns introduced for the first time.
20% were black.
That's 3.2 million blacks who had guns for the first time in their household.
Again, the question is, why are we talking about just suicide, but why aren't we looking at these numbers and looking at the Unbelievable increase in non-fatal and fatal shootings, homicides that have engulfed the country.
Well, as we all know, when blacks kill each other, liberals just look the other way.
Interestingly, you know, you have pointed out city after city, movement after movement, group after group of blacks who are wringing their hands trying to solve this problem.
But where have you seen a white group talk about this?
Where have you seen the Democratic Party talk about this?
Where have you seen the New York Times talk about this?
No!
They just look the other way when blacks kill each other.
It's really absolutely abominable.
Black Lives Matter, it's now a cliche, only when white people kill them.
But, as far as Black Lives Matter is concerned, the news this week was quite fascinating, having to do with Monica Cannon-Grant.
Age 41.
And her husband Clark Gant.
Clark Grant.
I beg your pardon.
So her name must have been Monica Cannon, but then like so many blacks, she got a double-barreled name, and she is now Cannon Grant.
They founded the non-profit organization Violence in Boston in 2017 and received huge amount of attention at the height of the Black Lives Matter foolishness in 2020.
Money poured into the organization.
And she was the toast of the town.
She was Boston Globe, the newspaper's Bostonian of the Year.
And the Globe's front page profile by two of their absolute crack reporters described her as both a firecracker and a mother bear.
That's quite an interesting combination.
Firecracker and a mother bear?
A firecracker and a mother bear.
Who leads change?
Boston Magazine said she's the best social justice advocate in Boston.
And the Boston Celtics, the basketball team, officially dubbed her a hero among us.
The Roxbury Unity community said that she is a leader of tomorrow.
Well, turns out this Monica Cannon-Grant, yeah, the race realist cat doesn't care for her one bit.
You're right, race realist cat.
Sniffs out a fake.
Cannon-Grant is the grift that keeps grifting.
The couple, husband and wife, were charged an 18-count indictment with wire fraud, conspiracy, making false statement to mortgage lending business because the couple used the funds to pay for personal expenses with hotels, car rentals, auto repairs, restaurant meals, nail salons.
I wonder if Mr. and Mrs. both went to nail salons.
Personal travel.
She treated herself to a $450,000 five-bedroom house in Taunton, Massachusetts.
And in 2020, she had a salary of just $25,000, but it leapt the next year to $170,000.
I suppose, you know, she's doing important work.
I should think that the best social justice advocate in Boston, Bostonian of the year, deserves at least $170,000.
But she was arrested in her fancy new spacious home in Taunton.
And she's done such thing as blown grants intended to help vulnerable young men on trips.
A vulnerable young man, these are people who are likely to commit crimes.
She got a $6,000 grant from the DA.
And she blew this on restaurants and nail salons.
I guess she's got some of those long nails.
I wonder if she paints them black like certain – like certain like, like, like our friend, uh, outlaw in
Philadelphia.
Yes, the police commissioner of Philadelphia.
Yeah.
Yeah, real quick.
Yes.
One quick sidestep.
Do you know the Philadelphia where we've heard stories that this violent crime streak is ending Philadelphia?
Which set a record last year for homicides, even far greater than the crack wars in the early 1990s.
They've actually just hit 100, which is far outpacing.
100 homicides as of March 14, 2022.
That far outpaces last year's record.
Are we going to get a new record?
I think we're going to get a lot for a lot of cities.
Also, this Monica Cannon Grant, she is nothing if not resourceful.
She fraudulently obtained a $100,000 pandemic relief grant, and let's see, what was she up to?
She used some of the cash trips to Boston, car rentals, grocery, and trips to Walmart!
So she's not really living the high life.
Well, what was it?
Excuse me real quick.
Sorry.
Wasn't her favorite restaurant Bubba Gump Shrimp?
I believe so.
I believe so.
She's really quite modest in her graft here.
But also, now this is pretty good.
She received thousands of dollars in consulting fees.
I mean, if you are Bostonian of the year, I should think you deserve consulting fees.
She promotes diversity.
At private companies, and she got $75,000 from a media company, unnamed, and this was to promote diversity.
However, her lawyer, Robert Goldstein, says he expects her to be vindicated.
She is innocent as Jesse Smollett, but there you go.
I'm sure Jesse feels her pain.
Now, on the line of money ending up in the wrong pockets, did you hear the story about the African Methodist Episcopal Church?
I did not!
Well, this is one of the largest U.S.
Protestant denominations.
It has suspended retirement payments to its ministers.
And the reason is, federal law enforcement and outside law firms are investigating a financial crime.
Involving funds managed by its retirement services department covering about 5,000 participants, including ministers and bishops.
They ain't getting their checks anymore, Brother Kersing.
No, it's not a laughing matter.
The church declined to say how much may be missing.
But a summary of a church governing body meeting in January shows the group discussed borrowing $45 million or selling church property to replace at least some of the shortfall.
At least $45 million missing.
I don't even... How is... What type... Is this an Excel spreadsheet they're working on?
I mean, are they... It's probably in Abacus.
Ministers said they'd learned few details about what might have happened, but their checks stopped coming.
And Bishop Jeffrey Leith, based in Nashville, suggests that as much as $91 million may be lost.
100% more than what they're claiming is lost.
Well, they're going to borrow $45 million to tide them over.
Okay.
Well, maybe they're going to find the rest of it buried in the backyard.
Who knows?
Underneath some sort of mattress somewhere.
Hey, Grandma, hop up.
Let's find out.
The discrepancies were discovered after the election of a new retirement department executive director last summer.
The former director, who held the role for 20 years, 20 years, did not respond to phone messages and email messages seeking comment.
Well, I bet he didn't.
I think were I he, I would keep mum.
The church's retirement department described using a third-party administrator to help manage its plans, but the administrator has not been identified.
Now, good grief!
Maybe, well, who knows?
45 million?
90 million?
Just poof!
Gone!
And this apparently was, this is how all the retired ministers are going to live.
What are they going to do?
I guess they have to go back to preaching.
Well, the AME Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, was founded by blacks in the late 18th century.
It's an old and respected denomination.
It had about 2.5 million members in 2011.
Those are the most recent years for which figures are available.
We haven't had a count of numbers in 11 years.
They don't seem to be very good with numbers, this church.
More than a decade.
Not just the number of parishioners, but the number of donations.
That's right.
The dollar's in the kitty.
But no, this is a sad story.
A very sad story.
But now you have what stream strikes me as a rather dizzying story about media coverage of Ukraine.
You know, I believe we talked about this briefly last week.
People were upset about the refugees that were coming in.
I believe they said that the war, there was too much coverage of the war because how can we deal with all these blind or blue eyed people in Ukraine who are being bombed by, my goodness, are these?
Well, the question is, how dare we care about this?
How dare we care more than about these brown muzzies?
Yeah.
How dare we?
Yeah.
Well, Moki Makura is a black writer who opined for CNN.
Under the headline, media coverage of Ukraine shows it's time to rethink what we know about Africa.
Could you repeat that?
Yeah, I'm going to.
The black writer is Moki Mokura.
No, I don't care about that.
The headline.
Media coverage of Ukraine shows it's time to rethink what we know about Africa.
Huh, well what do we think we know about Africa?
Anyway, all right, now this is intriguing.
Here we go.
Yes, carry on.
Quote, it's very emotional for me because I see European people with blue eyes and blonde hair being killed.
End quote.
These were the words of Ukraine's Deputy Chief Prosecutor David Sokvar-Elidisi during a recent BBC interview about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
It wasn't so much what he said, it was more what he, what was implied.
That not all lives have equal value.
And that idea, the belief that some races are superior to others.
I don't know if I got that in that quote.
Did you?
What he cares about is people like him.
His Ukrainian brothers and sisters.
He worries about Ukrainians being killed.
How horrible that a white person should have that feeling about his own extended family.
How horrible.
But as Makura writes, and that idea, the belief that some races are superior to others, As a black African woman without the benefit of blue eyes or blonde hair, it's been equally emotional to see the number of racist and ignorant comments and the coverage of Ukraine that has passed unchallenged by the interviewers and media platforms that have aired them.
CBS, Al Jazeera, Francis BFM TV, and ITV have all reported the invasion in ways that illustrate deep bias informed by a belief system that screams of an old-world, white-led orator.
My TV news correspondent, Mr. Taylor, by the name of Lucy Watson on iTV, reporting back to the studio, summed up collective hypocrisy and underlying narrative that the Ukrainian war has exposed when she said, quote, the unthinkable has happened.
This is not a developing third world nation.
This is Europe, end quote.
According to the narrative, she believes, quote, unthinkable things, unquote, happen only in third world nations.
Well, they're not unthinkable.
They're perfectly thinkable because they happen all the time.
They're happening as we speak in a number of third world nations.
And that narrative is perpetuated by the type of stories she and many like her have heard about the continent.
In Africa, it's the stories of conflict in Ethiopia, insurgencies in Mozambique, Election violence in Uganda and the recent coups in Mali, Chad, Guinea, Sudan, Burkina Faso, and Guinea-Bissau.
Bissau.
Forgive me.
Well, yeah.
I mean, here she goes.
She's through a lot.
That's a lot, actually.
And there's more.
And, you know, the only violence I can think of that's happening in Germany is refugee attacks on It's clear far too many are not paying attention to them because the people in these stories are not rich.
that are being populated.
We'll get back to that.
Let's get back to this essay.
It's clear far too many are not paying attention to them because the people in these stories
are not rich.
They're from the global north, which she's implying white nations.
It's the reason why the unbelievable things that happen in places like Europe are typically reported in terms of issues, numbers, and trends rather than people, emotions, and the lives destroyed.
In Africa, our stories tend to offer simplistic analysis that lack context and nuance.
Prioritizes headline-grabbing proclamations like this one from the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres about, quote, an epidemic of coup d'etat in response to the sixth coup in five out of 54 countries over an 18-month period.
Back up here!
Let me just repeat this, Mr. Taylor.
We're supposed to believe we're shocked and in awe that there's this White nation, Russia, invading the white nation of Ukraine, which, correct me if I'm wrong, I can't think of another European conflict since, am I wrong, World War II?
Well, well, well, Yugoslavia, the invasion of Georgia, Yugoslavia is a fair amount of killing going on.
Yugoslavia, Georgia, 2008, Crimea, what was that, 2012?
No, 2014.
2014, okay.
But it wasn't anything that was cataclysmic that lasted longer than, what, a month?
Yeah, the Georgia War lasted a couple of weeks.
Okay, point is this.
Let me re-read what I just said.
In Africa, our stories tend to offer simplistic analysis that lacks context and nuance, prioritizing headline-grabbing proclamations like this one from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres about, quote, an epidemic of coup d'etat, end quote, in response to the sixth coup in five out of 54 African countries over an 18-month period.
That's 10% of African countries!
Come on, come on.
That's pretty good for Africa.
You're shaping right up!
These examples have shown us that global media is complicit, Mr. Taylor, complicit in perpetuating racist narratives by not encouraging diversity in its newsrooms and giving unrestricted platforms to reporters and influential spokespeople with implicit biases that are left unchallenged.
I wonder how she would like it.
If every time a black person killed a black person, it got as much attention as when a white police officer kills a black person, we'd be talking about nothing else.
Would that make her happy?
Well, what about that white family that was just murdered?
the white couple that was just murdered in Daytona.
Yes, yes, that's Slope Slope.
Yeah, we're going to talk about that.
We're going to talk about that.
Or there was a, on the Beltline in Atlanta,
this rather gentrifying area of Atlanta, there was this white guy who was well known
He went around planting trees and he saw these, uh, three black guys breaking into a car as he was walking his dog late at night and a very nice part of gentrified Atlanta.
He said, Hey guys, stop.
They pulled out a gun, they shot him point blank.
Three blacks killed a white guy.
You're right.
But going back to our story real quick, rather than dwelling on this, I want to share some of the facts that should make us all rethink the traditional and stereotypical ways we dismiss non-white, non-rich countries and their people.
Traditional world order is undergoing a dramatic shift driven by COVID-19, China, Russia, and movements like Me Too and Black Lives Matter.
The New World Order is providing an opportunity for the world to rethink the little they know about the rest of the world, i.e.
blacks.
I'll just be brief.
By 2050, Mr. Taylor and all our listeners, Nigeria will overtake the United States as the world's third most populous country with a population of 40 million people.
Now, of course, 400 million people, the population growth in America is driven by non-white third world immigration.
Let's stop there.
That's the only reason America's population is growing.
That's one more reason to pay attention.
Africa's population is growing rapidly and experts predict it will account for half the world's people growth in the next two decades.
That's a cause for alarm, I might say.
We won't get into that right now.
This means that more than a quarter of the world's population will be on just one continent, Africa.
The thought that the world will be overrun by Africans, no blue eyes or blonde haired here,
will be an uncomfortable idea for some people, especially if they are unaware of the roughly
125,000 millionaires, 6,200 multi-millionaires, 275 centimillionaires, and 22 billionaires that
exist on the continent today. Last week I think you talked about who were those billionaires.
Mostly white folks.
I mean, when you read this article, it's this triumphant push for pan-Africanism, which doesn't actually... It's not really pan-Africanism.
She wants us to be as interested, as concerned, as fascinated by people who are unlike us as people who are our brothers.
Well, it's the Africa that's going to overwhelm the Western world in the future.
As if she gives a hoot about white people.
No, she's indifferent.
She's apathetic.
In fact, I don't think she cares.
And I think the point is what we're seeing with this Ukraine stuff.
I mean, again, I know you're not on social media anymore, having been banned from Twitter in 2016.
But what I find so fascinating is when you log into Twitter, one of the first things you see is hashtag Ukraine
and the blue and yellow flag.
And again, I don't take any, I want this conflict to end immediately.
I think this is...
It's horrible.
Yes, there's no other word for it.
I mean, it doesn't make any sense one way or another.
But the point is, it's the Western reaction is the American reaction.
It's the big tech reaction.
It's corporate America's reaction to this as if, wait a second, we're supposed to believe that this Russia is somehow the equivalent of, as we're seeing increasingly, Nazi Germany.
It's bizarre, and it kind of goes into what you talked about, a world gone mad.
This is this whole concept since March of 2020, and it just continues to perpetuate itself in this global conflict.
To end this piece, this CNN article, again, it's white people killing each other, What does this mean for blacks in Africa and as African Americans in the United States?
Well, obviously, she wants us to pay just as much attention.
If not more.
Yes, to people in Burkina Faso having a coup d'etat.
Ho hum.
Sorry.
It's just not that interesting, lady.
It's not our problem.
Whereas, yes, Europeans, we care about.
Sorry, that's the way it is.
You care about blacks, we care about white people.
Well, and as she mentions, 10% of African countries are having a coup right now.
I mean, come on!
Well, as I say, that's down from, you know, maybe 50%.
They're doing much better.
I keep an eye on Africa.
I spent some time in Africa.
I became a race realist in Africa.
But let's see.
I became a race journalist in Atlanta.
What does that say about Atlanta?
It means you're smarter than I am.
But let's see.
Well, let's talk about this Daytona Beach business.
A couple that had attended the Daytona Beach Bike Week, Terry Altman and Brenda Altman, they were riding their motorcycles home after events on March 6th.
But when police arrived, they found both of them with their throats slashed and stabbed wounds all over their bodies and a A melanin-enhanced gentleman by the name of Gene R. Massian was arrested.
Now, no motive given, and I'm sure no motive will ever be announced, but why are these white people killed by this black guy?
This is just a tiny little news item.
Done.
And it reminds me also of this guy who was running around shooting homeless people, bums, on the street, sleeping on the streets in Manhattan and Washington.
He shot five of them, two of them fatally.
And this guy was caught on surveillance cameras, and when the New York Times was reporting on this, they showed the photographs of the guy, but they refused to describe him.
He's a black man.
Wouldn't you think that the bums on the street might want to know who's likely to be dangerous?
But no, the New York Times, I guess they don't expect the bums to be reading New York Times, but they have caught the guy.
His name is Gerald Brevard III.
The third?
Yes, quite a fancy name.
Gerald Brevard III, age 30.
He's got quite a rap sheet and he is, of course, black.
But there has been no motive offered for the shootings and no mention of the race of the victims.
I did see a photograph of one of the victims.
He was a white guy with a great big huge bushy beard.
But as to us, I wouldn't be surprised if all of them were white, but I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't.
Whether this guy is just a maniac or whether he is an anti-white-hating maniac, I'm not sure.
We'll never know.
We'll probably never know.
That news fit to print for the old gray ladies.
What was it you called it last week?
The old gray slut.
You used a different adjective to describe it.
The old gray strumpet.
The strumpet.
See, I always thought strumpet was some sort of a delicacy.
What?
No.
No.
What are you thinking of?
No, a trumpet is a streetwalker.
Okay.
Yes.
Now, here was an interesting headline.
This is not really quite on our beat, but it was such an arresting headline, I couldn't resist talking about it.
Newborn strangler found dead in prison cell.
A newborn strangler found dead in prison cell.
I guess the stranglers get younger and younger all the time.
That's like that great book Eat, Shoots, and Leaves.
If you remember that from the early 2000s in terms of where the comic structure is.
Yes, but of course it was a strangler of newborns.
Not a newborn strangler was found dead.
I guess that's one of my favorite headlines was milk drinkers turned to powder.
That's pretty good.
But then Miami, Miami had its own little hate crime.
Five middle school students are facing hate crime charges in Coconut Creek Recreation Center in Miami.
The students told police that other students approached them yelling, it's opposite day, brown power.
And the group looked at the students and said, they're white, before jumping on them, tackled one, and beat on them.
And the reports say, this fellow says, after they jumped me, they said, this is revenge for what we did in the 1700s for slavery.
So they're learning their lesson.
They are definitely learning their lesson, Mr. Kersey.
So, five have been charged with battery, with prejudice, which elevates the charge to felony.
Most of them have Hispanic last names.
So, Hispanics are learning the lesson, too, and they're beating up white people on account of slavery.
How's that?
They are really learning their lessons, aren't they?
I think they might be celebrating Columbus Day in a far different way than we are.
Gosh, yes, I guess so.
But then, of course, we had another little interesting incident in Trustville, Alabama.
Just a short little item here.
The Trustville Police Department was dispatched to Palm Beach Tan.
It's a tanning enterprise.
A 19-year-old woman told police she was interviewing 26-year-old Shamik Absalom Dunn for a job when she attacked her and tried to rape her.
Okay.
He ran away.
He was arrested a short time later.
And he was easy to find because he was being interviewed for a job when he got in the mood, I guess.
But he used his real name and real address on the application for the job.
So they tracked him down.
I guess he must have gotten confused at one point in the interview.
And he decided to change his plan.
In any case, he has been arrested.
Let's see, what else has been happening in the world?
I think you have discovered that Amazon is fed up with Seattle.
Yeah, we've talked about Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon a lot.
These are two of the whitest big cities in America.
Portland, about 6% black, 76% white.
Seattle, I want to say is actually whiter, about 77% white.
We talk about King County all the time.
Where Seattle is located.
Well, Amazon, of course, has their main hub, downtown Seattle.
Well, here's the headline.
Amazon relocates downtown Seattle workers due to rise in crime.
Now, what was the autonomous zone in Seattle?
Chaz, right?
Chaz.
Capitol Hill autonomous zone, right?
Capitol Hill area autonomous zone, yes.
Capital Autonomous Zone, I believe.
Chas, yeah.
And I believe the only people that were murdered there were blacks.
Afraid so.
Yeah, back in 2020.
And we learned, actually, that the police were going to cede the police department there
to be controlled by the Chas Autonomous Zone.
Well, two years later, here's what we have.
Amazon is temporarily moving employees from its downtown Seattle office due to an increase in violent crime in the area, including shootings and carjackings.
Yeah, a spokesperson says this.
We're hopeful conditions will improve and that we'll be able to bring employees back to this location when it's safe to do so, the spokesperson added.
Of course, he didn't say this, but He implied when we're able to carry white identity on Amazon.com again.
Maybe if we do nothing.
Yeah, anyways.
Office is located at 300 Pine Street, situated roughly a half mile from Amazon's main headquarters, will remain open while its 1800 employees are relocated.
That's a lot of employees.
That's a big tax But that's just temporary.
I thought they were pulling out of Seattle completely.
Not out of Seattle, yeah.
That will happen.
That will definitely happen.
I'm sure they'll go to Boise, which is 90 plus percent white.
Maybe go to Cheyenne, Wyoming.
You know, I looked at the stats here.
It is only 66 percent white.
Okay.
But it is 14 percent Asian.
Oh, so you're talking about 80 percent non-white.
I'm sorry, non-Asian, non-white.
No, only 8% black and 6% Hispanic.
So there you go.
It should be a civilized place.
Yeah, many of the employees have already been working from home because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The area has been plagued by crime.
Three shootings, two stabbings, one carjacking occurred near the office since February 21st.
That was information supplied by the Seattle Police Department.
And this is very close to the Pike Place Market.
Have you ever been there, by the way?
I've been.
Amazing.
It is.
It's actually one of America's better, cool landmarks to go see in a more civilized time.
Yes.
It is a farmer's market, a fish market.
Did you ever try to catch a fish?
Did you ever do that?
No, I never tried to catch a fish.
It's actually really cool.
How do you do that?
At the market?
At the market, they'll just bring them in and if you want to fish, they'll be like, throw me a fish!
And they'll throw you a fish in the ice, you catch it.
It's famously, I believe, shown, I know you don't like movies, but I think this was in God, this is such a different country, but the great rom-com Sleepless in Seattle, did you ever see that?
No.
Okay, well there's a great scene with Tom Hanks and his young son at the Pike Place Market.
So anyways, a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed at the intersection where Amazon's office is located, and so basically the mayor has announced plans to install a mobile police precinct Because they're so terrified of what could happen if Amazon says, hey, you know what?
We've already opened a second office headquarters in Crystal City, DC.
America's a big place.
We don't need to have our office space here.
COVID's taught us that.
We're out.
This violent crime in a 20% non-Asian, non-white city, that's too much.
Isn't that interesting?
Well, probably the overall crime rate in Seattle is not that great.
No, it's not.
But they may be in for a shock if they decide to move to Memphis.
We have a cute story about the military fitness test.
Just weeks before the Army's controversial new fitness test was supposed to become official on April 1st, April Fool's Day, the Army announced a complete rethinking of its fitness requirement.
Now, this is a fitness test, and whether you pass it or not can make a big difference between promotion and being fired.
Well, it's called the Army Combat Fitness Test, A-C-F-T.
And this is for officers or for enlisted?
This is for everybody.
Oh wow, okay.
Congress directed an independent review of the plan, Army Combat Fitness Test, to find out Whether it would have an adverse effect on the recruitment and retention of women.
Women.
Whoa, wait a second.
In an age of pronouns, how is that even proper?
Beats me.
Beats me.
The test awaits final approval from Army Secretary Christine Wormuth.
A lady secretary who during her confirmation hearing said she was concerned that the test's possible impact on retention of women in the force.
Women, believe it or not, might not as do as well on the Army Combat Fitness Test.
The Army hasn't had an official fitness test since September 2020, when the old one, the Army Physical Fitness Test, was phased out.
Now, I'm quoting from a news release here.
Early data of an early ACFT pilot obtained by Military.com showed half of the force's women couldn't pass the test, and very few scored well enough to merit a Promotion.
That startling data spurred Congress to delay the test.
Now, Mr. Kersey, are you startled?
Having been to a gym and see the type of weight females throw around, if we can still use that word to describe males versus females when it comes to... Well, but you see, Army Secretary Christine Wormuth is worried that it might have an impact on retention of women in the force.
So she uses the word, so I think you can too.
I'm sure Russia and China, I'm sure the military leaders are quaking in their boots right now.
Interestingly, many male soldiers interviewed found the new test easier to pass.
Oh dear!
Once the test goes live, to use their lingo, failing it could lead to being booted from the force, while soldiers with high scores will have more job opportunities and can climb the ranks faster.
Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh!
Not fair!
Not fair!
That's sexist!
Not fair!
While the Army isn't sure whether it'll make its self-imposed April 1st deadline, officials say no soldiers will face immediate consequences when it's implemented.
So, uh, just kidding, just kidding.
The test results will be left off of a service member's record.
We want to ensure shoulders are not unduly impacted during implementation, so does spokesman.
So, if you fail, it's okay.
And there's nothing to do whatsoever with April 1st, correct?
That just happens to be an arbitrary date associated with this.
Army combat fitness test.
I mean, women are supposed to be taking a combat fitness test.
You wrote a really good essay years ago for Talkie Mag, right?
About women in combat, right?
Yes, I did.
I remember that.
This is just so idiotic.
I'm sorry.
Now, Christine Wormuth, she is the first lady secretary of the army.
I looked her up.
She has been a career civil servant.
And as I say, she has been Secretary of the Army since 2021.
Not exactly a veteran on the job.
First woman to serve in that position.
She entered government service as a presidential management intern in 1995 at age 26.
After getting her education, all she's done is be in the government and she has never humped a rucksack or loaded a 40-pound artillery shell into the back of a truck and she's worried that the army combat fitness test is gonna discriminate against women.
You know what?
So am I. So am I. I'm petrified of the thought as so many crises wage across the world.
We have 10% of African nations going through a coup d'etat.
We have a situation where our government just today, Mr. Taylor, the Ukrainian president addressed Congress and we're talking about no-fly zone.
This is the most pertinent Crisis facing.
That's right.
How can we get this physical fitness test right so that women can pass it just as high at high rates as men?
I'm trying to put it in perspective here.
That's all I'm doing.
Yes.
Well, there you go.
Well, as usual, we're running out of time.
I was hoping that you could talk to us about how the Chinese are shaking in their felt boots because of America competes, but we have very little time.
I agree with that.
Shall we save it for next time?
Should we just hold this?
Because this is a beautiful piece by Heather MacDonald.
Yes, yes.
And as always, she is absolutely wonderful.
I had one little short story.
Let's see if I can find it here.
And while you're doing that, I'm just going to go ahead and address all of our amazing listeners across the world, across the country.
We love hearing from you.
We love getting stories.
We love getting comments.
We love getting, as Mr. Taylor always points out, corrections.
Most importantly, we love hearing from you and adding you to the email list of the New Century Foundation.
Shoot me an email because we live here at Protonmail.com.
Once again, all one word.
Because we live here at Protonmail.com or you can go to amren.com, A-M-R-E-N.com and click the Contact Us tab and send us a message.
And yes, we very much like to be corrected.
I feel very foolish having broadcast over the air to no doubt millions of enraptured listeners that there had been no murders in New Hampshire or Vermont in 2020, and that was an error.
So I'm grateful to be corrected.
Do please keep us on straight and narrow.
And we do love hearing from you, and if you have any ideas about stories we should be covering, things that cross your mind, and comments that you have, and sometimes we will even ask you your questions, answer your questions.
I mean, sometimes we've had some personal questions, and I don't like this idea of people making a spectacle of themselves, talking about themselves so much.
You know, when you see the newscasters saying, hmm, there's gonna be snow!
What are you gonna be doing this weekend, Phil?
Oh, I'm gonna be on the ski slopes!
Boy, save that stuff.
I just want to know what the weather's going to be like, not what you're going to be doing.
