Phil, always a pleasure.
You have a great piece out at the UNS Review and elsewhere about what to expect next between the United States and Israel, and I want to explore many of the ideas that you...
You know, that's a good question.
Because I'm not really sure that that's the kind of thing that goes through Trump's brain.
I don't think that he, you know, basically looks in personal terms.
At the victims of his policies.
Joe Biden was a much different creature.
He was somewhat moralistic and obviously he was and is so on board of the Israeli train that for him to be exterminating the Palestinians to give Lebensraum for the Israelis is a no-brainer.
Trump, I think, is a little more complicated.
I think that he basically He does not consider Palestinians to be important because they don't really impact in what he does and how he does it and how he works his relationship.
So I think he's equally, you know, disposed to sending them into the Sinai Desert to starve.
But the fact is that he doesn't quite think of it in moralistic terms.
Interesting. Interesting observations.
What about Netanyahu?
Do you think that Trump shares, he'd never admit this publicly, Biden's subservience to Netanyahu?
Again, I think that's a little more complicated because I think Trump, of course, has an enormous ego and sense of self.
Which would draw a line in the sand, I think, on dealing with Netanyahu.
If you look back on Trump's first term vis-a-vis the relationship with Israel, you would realize that most of what went on didn't come from Trump.
It came from the ambassador that Trump had appointed in Israel.
He was more or less the spokesman for the policy.
And I think that's how Trump kind of keeps his distance.
I think this time around, we'll find out next Tuesday when Netanyahu will be in town.
And I certainly hope he will be able to address Congress again, since that was so delightful the last time around.
I think that in this case, we're going to see some kind of leveling out of the relationship driven by Trump.
Was the one who invited Netanyahu as the first foreign head of state to visit him in the White House.
That tells you something.
He's got something in the back of his head that's telling him he's got to establish a certain kind of relationship.
I wonder if he'll play a clip of Jeff Sachs' speech at Cambridge University, the same one that he played on his Truth Social.
Yeah, I wish he would.
And I wish, actually, my dream, this is my dream, that Netanyahu lands here and we immediately arrest him because of the ICJ warrants.
I would love to see that, but I have no high expectations.
He could be arrested by state authorities over whom Trump has no jurisdiction, although I doubt very much that that will happen.
Does Trump control?
Netanyahu, or does Netanyahu control Trump?
Now, control, of course, I mean with respect to Netanyahu controlling Trump, would be through all of Netanyahu's acolytes and wealthy donors in the U.S. I mean, McGregor, who, of course, is more a military analyst than a political analyst,
is convinced that Trump would not have been elected.
But for the vast and overwhelming support of the donor class in the U.S. and that Trump knows that.
Well, that is, I think, a good bit of analysis.
I share that suspicion to a certain extent.
But I think that the answer is actually, in some ways, that answer is a little bit deceptive because, to my mind, it's the control.
It comes from the Israel lobby in the United States, and that's there and available for Netanyahu or anyone else who is Israeli Prime Minister.
So I think that's where it comes from, and it's quite right to point to the money.
We're talking about something like $300 million that came from Jewish sources to Trump this time around, and also a considerable sum, of course, went to Biden.
So this is money talks, nobody walks.
And that's what we're seeing with the Israel lobby in the United States and the power that it wields.
It means whoever is the president is, to a certain extent, a cipher.
And we see it, of course, in Congress, too, where Congress has been bought completely and is spied on completely by the Israel lobby, as some congressmen have recently revealed.
But they get away with it.
They get away with it because of their power over the media and their power to shape the narrative.
I'm down in the dumps of this is just going to continue.
Is Donald Trump going to become genocide Donald?
Well, I would bet yes.
Because it seems to me That, based on statements from Netanyahu to his own people, that Trump has basically conceded to him already, that if this so-called ceasefire, and I do call it a so-called ceasefire,
goes the wrong way in terms of Netanyahu's politics and his instincts, he's going to be able to drop those 2,000-pound moms.
That Donald Trump has just released 1,800 of, and he's going to be able to use them to kill the rest of the Gazans, Palestinians in Palestine itself on the West Bank.
1,800.
McGregor advises that there is no purpose for a 2,000-pound bomb unless you want to destroy an urban area.
Yeah, that's right.
Or you just want to kill people.
On the ground.
But the fact is, the urban area would be the existing Palestinian cities, towns on the West Bank, which they are doing their best to kill, even as we speak, with the attacks on Janine and elsewhere.
There is no question, but in the next year, if Trump lets them get away with it...
We're going to find Palestine essentially written off the map, just like the Gulf of Mexico.
And it will be gone, and it will be absorbed into Israel.
And depending, again, on where Trump sees his own interest in this, personal interest, personal ego, Netanyahu will get away with it.
Well, what are they going to do?
With two million Palestinians.
The Egyptians are not going to take them.
According to McGregor, al-Sisi would be removed from office in a heartbeat.
King Abdullah is not going to take them.
According to McGregor, he'd be overthrown in a heartbeat.
What are they going to do?
Slaughter a million people?
Will the world stand by and allow that to happen?
Well, it could be that they've already slaughtered 800,000.
According to the British medical publication Lancet, that's one of their estimates for the possible numbers of bodies that are buried in the rubble in Gaza.
So yeah, they have no...
800,000?
Yeah. And look at some of the statements that are coming out of Ben Gavir and Smotrich and others.
They have no hesitation with killing these people.
These people are animals.
They're born to be slaves or killed.
And that's what they really believe.
And that's what's so sickening about the US support for these monsters.
Well, what happens next, Phil?
Well, as I say, I would love to see Somebody develop a backbone in Washington and tell Netanyahu to get the hell out of here.
The weapons are not coming anymore.
The money's not coming anymore.
You're committing the grossest war crime since the Second World War, without a doubt, and we are not going to support you.
That's what I would like to see, but I don't expect that at all.
I expect that there's going to be some...
I would expect there already been some sort of...
We know that that was phony.
Do you believe the current Yeah, I believe it's essentially phony in the same way, that essentially there is no authority that makes sure that everyone is in compliance on it.
So the Israelis have pulled the same trick that they pulled time and again.
Which is always to get into one of these deals and then renege by saying that the other side is failing in its responsibility.
They do this again and again and again.
They've done it, of course, most recently, as we just mentioned, in South Lebanon, and they're doing the same thing in Syria.
And they'll do the same thing to Gaza, and they'll do the same thing to the West Bank.
He's signing an executive order to deport illegal aliens to Guantanamo Bay.
When I saw the headline, Trump announces plans on Guantanamo Bay, my heart jumped.
I thought, oh my God, are we finally going to close this devil's island?
Now, I have been there.
It's a prison that cannot hold 30,000.
It can't even hold 1,000.
But he just announced at a signing of legislation called the Lakin-Riley Act, which is an abomination because it authorizes punishment before conviction.
He announced that he's about to sign an order directing the incarceration of 30,000 illegal aliens at Guantanamo Bay.
I guess we need to know more about it.
This may be another one of these things where he shot from the hip, like when he said last week the Russians have lost a million troops and the country is suffering and Putin's leadership is being disparaged, when, of course, none of that is true.
Well, the estimates I've seen are that there are, as a result of the Biden policies, 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States.
So this is just a ridiculous bit of theater.
And this is obscene.
What can I say?
Yeah. Yeah.
All right.
Well, on Ukraine, is the spigot still open?
Do we know?
The phone is ringing in the background.
It'll stop in a second.
Oh, my God.
I was wondering.
That sounds like Beethoven.
I was wondering where that's coming from.
No, it's Mozart.
No. All right.
I forget what I had just asked you.
Yeah, no, you asked me about whether the spigot was still open.
The short answer to that is that it depends on who you talk to.
The Pentagon is saying the spigot is open.
That these weapons and the money have already been funneled into the system.
And the White House, as far as I can tell, is saying, no, it's not.
So that's a good question.
Well, again, according to McGregor, Trump has told his acolytes that this is very un-Trumpian.
He feels bound by the...
The orders of the Congress and the commitments of the Biden administration.
That's absurd.
He could turn that spigot off with a phone call or the stroke of a pen in two minutes.
I would imagine if the spigot has been closed, we would have heard from President Zelensky by now, would we not?
Yeah, I suspect you're right.
Those on the receiving end would be the ones who would feel the pain, and they would be the first ones to be screaming.
You're right.
I haven't seen anything coming out of the Zelensky administration unless there's some kind of behind-the-scenes negotiation or something else going on.
But, you know, that's possibly the case.
Zelensky, about an hour ago, insulted President Putin, saying Putin is afraid to negotiate with him.
Because Putin fears strong leaders, and he, Zelensky, is a strong leader.
I mean, this is absurd.
He isn't even the lawful leader of the government, and yet he's making wisecracks like this.
Yeah, and he's the guy that was doing those, shall we say, rather clownish dances when he was back as a comedian.
He's still a comedian.
Trump's only been in office 10 days, but is there any difference in his Israeli policy and his Ukraine policy from that of his deplorable predecessor?
I think you would have to dig real deep.
No, I don't see anything unless there are people that are involved in these processes that he's trying to fire.
In the U.S. government, which I don't know.
Nobody's really come up with a list of how the getting rid of two million employees will impact on certain areas.
But no, as far as I can tell, there's no difference between the two.
And again, let's get back to the fact that Trump has invited Benjamin Netanyahu as his first guest in the White House.
So there's There are certain signals being given here that suggest that business is as usual.
And you know, the Speaker of the House of Representatives who really controls those joint sessions is an ardent Christian Zionist who would love nothing more than to welcome Netanyahu to a joint session of Congress yet again.
So that the Congress can fawn all over him.
On the other hand, maybe Netanyahu is going to fly to Las Vegas to meet his control person in the United States, and we all know who that is.
Yeah, marry him.
Right. Right.
What are the possibilities that we can go to the airport and do a citizen's arrest on Netanyahu?
Is that a possibility?
You know, I'd have to check the laws on citizens' arrests.
They'll probably land at Dulles, which is in Virginia.
I would imagine that Virginia, being an old southern state, part of the Confederacy, probably still has citizens' arrests on its books.
If you want to go, we'll get a camera crew there and I'll join you.
I guess we really shouldn't.
Shouldn't be laughing about this.
How much longer can Zelensky's government last, Phil?
Well, if they pull the plug on money it's getting, as well as weapons, I think I saw some predictions today that were just kind of off the cuff.
But they were saying that if that were the case, he's finished.
He's finished right now.
When you would have to actually formally declare that they surrendered, who knows?
Is the CIA still there?
And are they still gathering intel to report to John Ratcliffe and then eventually to the president?
Sure. I mean, if the embassy is still there, which it is, the CIA station is in the embassy.
Sure, it would be there and they'd be collecting information.
They probably have, I'm just guessing this, they probably have all kinds of sources within the so-called Zelensky government who are telling them all kinds of things.
And I wouldn't want to be in that position to try to figure out what is true and what is false.
Would they be on the ground in Kyrsk?
That is, would CIA operatives actually be on the ground in Russia?
Sure, sure.
There is a CIA station in Moscow.
And there are CIA people under cover of various kinds, either State Department or military or even civilian cover.
That would be called deep cover.
And I'm sure they're active.
I'm sure they're more active than they want to be right at the moment.
I wonder if Trump gets the same doctored intel that Biden did, or if the truth is making its way through to him.
You know, he doesn't like, he doesn't read, as we know.
He doesn't like long debriefings.
He usually takes them over himself.
But at some point, somebody's got to tell him what's going on on the ground, no?
Well, Ray McGovern would probably have a better feel for that than I, but the fact is that there certainly is a briefing that goes to him daily, the daily brief, and it's now sent over by the DNI,
the Office of National Intelligence.
That'll be, I hope, Tulsi Gabbard.
And so I don't know who's delivering it to him now.
It might just be a staffer.
The word on the street within the intelligence community has long been that Trump is not interested in intelligence briefings and he doesn't pay attention to them.
And he essentially gets his briefings from his apparatchiks, the people that are ideologically loyal to him.
And sound in terms of what their thoughts are and that kind of thing.
That's certainly what I've been hearing.
Well, that probably means you're a friend Sebastian Gorka.
Absolutely. Or people of that mentality.
