Hi everyone, Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom.
Today is Monday, October 28th, 2024.
Phil Giraldi is here on what is it that binds Israel and the United States?
Might it be lies and bloodshed?
Right after this.
A divisive presidential election is upon us and the winner is gold.
Let me tell you what I mean.
Since 2016.
Our national debt has grown a staggering 70%, and gold has increased by 60%.
Do you own gold?
I do.
I bought my gold in February 2023, and it has risen 33%.
You heard me talk about Lear Capital, the company I trust.
Let me tell you why.
Recently, Kevin DeMeritt, who is the founder and CEO of Lear, assisted the FBI in discovering a nationwide gold theft ring.
And because of Kevin's good work, the FBI caught these people before they could steal anymore.
That's why I have been saying the people at Lear are good people.
They believe in America.
They believe in their lives.
So take action right now, my friends.
Call 800-511-4620 or go to learjudgenap.com.
Protect your savings and retirement before it's too late.

Remember, hope is not a strategy, but gold is.
Bill Giraldi, welcome here, my dear friend.
Always a pleasure, of course.
Is there an exception in federal statutes for Israel, the statutes that prohibit American aid to countries that commit genocide or have nuclear weapons that they refuse to permit to be subject to international regulatory authorities?
Well, the answer to both of those queries is, yes, there is a difference in that the United States has chosen not to enforce its own laws.
And basically, Israel has a unique status with the United States government and with the media as well.
And what this amounts to is, for example, the example you just cited, the Symington Amendment.
Which basically says that any country that has a secret nuclear program or has such an intent and will not sign the Non-Proliferation Agreement cannot get United States aid or weapons.
And it says it flatly.
And then there's the Lehigh laws, which basically say the same thing, but on the issue of human rights.
The Lehigh laws basically say that if the United States is selling or giving weapons to a foreign country, it has to do a due diligence where it has to go through that country's record in the use of the weapons.
And if the weapons are being used for human rights violations, as we are seeing Israel have been doing for the past year and before that, then the United States is prohibited.
From providing these weapons or providing assistance, which has the same intent.
So the United States has willfully, in Congress and the White House, decided that Israel has unique status, which means that what other countries are obliged to do in their relationships with the U.S. does not apply to Israel.
Just to be clear, The exception for Israel is in the enforcement.
It's not in the written statute.
There's no except for Israel in the statute.
These statutes, which are named after the U.S. senators who introduced them, were intended to apply to the whole world.
I wonder what they thought of Israel at the time they wrote them.
Simonton's no longer around.
Leahy is, although he's not in the Senate anymore.
This is really the decision of the State Department not to do its job because the Secretary of State took an oath to enforce the laws and he's not doing so.
Well, the interesting aspect of that is it's not the State Department not doing its job because I saw a president.
And he resigned because of the way Israel was getting an exemption.
And he described how the whole thing works.
He says, you know, Israel calls the Pentagon or the State Department and says, we want these weapons.
Four hours later, the Israeli embassy in Washington follows up on the call.
It says, hey, what's the delay here?
And the White House or the Secretary of State then immediately call the suppliers and close the deal.
So this is as crooked as can be.
It's all done to protect Israel.
I don't say that.
I mean, it's basically to cover up for Israel's crimes.
And this stuff is going on where the Energy Department, for example, has a mandate that it will fire any of their employees, whoever mentioned that Israel has a nuclear program.
And across the government, in Congress and in the White House, there is also a well-known rule, never been written down as far as I know, that says that nobody in the government will ever confirm that Israel has nuclear weapons.
Only in the case of Israel, as far as I know.
Israel, of course, there was a massive cover-up engineered by President Lyndon B. Johnson and McNamara, who was the Secretary of Defense at that time, when the USS Liberty was attacked in international waters by Israel, killing 34 sailors and injuring over 170 more.
Their intent was to sink the ship.
Because the ship was an intelligence vessel that was monitoring the war that was going on at that time between Israel, Egypt, and Syria.
So it was, you know, basically, you could kill Americans.
More recently, you could kill American journalists, and you could kill anyone.
And if it's Israel doing the killing, hey, too bad.
Why doesn't Israel go through the vetting process, and of what does the vetting process consist, if you know?
The vetting process consists of what are generally regarded as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide.
And we're seeing all of that play out in the past year, very specifically, in the case of Israel.
And international courts, the ICC, for example, have The interesting thing about this guy who resigned, his name is Josh Paul, he basically had the same information that the State Department in Washington at other levels and echelons had to demonstrate that this is exactly what Israel was doing.
Even our benighted President of the United States Basically, it has raised the issue of how Israel is starving the people in Gaza, which is the ultimate war cry.
When you were in the CIA, was it generally known, understood, discussed, winked and nodded that Israel had nuclear weapons?
Oh, absolutely.
It was widely known and widely referred to.
At certain levels.
This is unfortunately the way the federal government operates.
People down at the working level, like I was, and like Mr. Josh Paul was, basically do their job in as honorable a fashion as possible.
As you climb up the ladder...
That's why our Secretary of State can pick up the phone and call up his counterpart at the Pentagon or at Lockheed Martin and tell them to start shipping the equipment to Israel in spite of the fact that Israel has not been vetted.
How does it actually work?
Does the U.S. government pay the bill at Lockheed Martin, or do the Israelis pay the bill and the U.S. government reimburses them?
How does this actually work?
How it actually works in practice is that the U.S. government puts the bill.
Thanks to President Obama, Israel gets a check every October 1st, the beginning of the fiscal year.
For something in excess of $3 billion.
And they use this money to buy weapons.
And more recently, of course, with the war going on in Gaza, President Biden has authorized extensive sums of money.
Approaching $20 billion was the last figure that I saw go out.
So the United States is basically buying the weapons from U.S. manufacturers who are happy to sell them.
And they're giving the weapons to Israel.
So the money's deposited in Israeli government banks.
They could be in the U.S. Federal dollars, either taxpayer money or money borrowed in the name of the taxpayers, whoever the feds got their money from.
And that money then is used to pay the arms manufacturers.
That's basically what it's used for, but it's also used to come back in through the back door to corrupt our political system.
A lot of the money comes from Israel lobby organizations in the United States, but it's always been suspected very strongly that a lot of this money is kind of doing a circle dance, and it's being filtered back into the system to corrupt our politicians.
Which I guess we'll be seeing in about eight days.
Meaning that some of the money is being used by Israel to make campaign contributions in order to assure the loyalty of those politicians, whether in the executive or the legislative branch.
Precisely.
Our President Biden is, I believe, currently the sitting This is over the course of his 50 or 60 years in politics.
Yeah.
Right, right.
Were you surprised to see in writing the casual reference to the Israeli nuclear program and the top-secret documents that were released two weeks ago?
Yeah.
And again, this bears out what I was saying before about people at the working level.
I've known this since forever.
And the people who prepared those two documents were obviously working level people working on satellite intelligence.
And they included that comment, which is kind of interesting.
You didn't see the New York Times referring to it, did you?
Or Washington Post or the White House.
This again, this was a secret sort of thing that they don't want to get out.
They don't want anyone discussing it.
The people in this country are not allowed to discuss policy.
Do we know the type of individual who released this?
Was this an official release as governmental policy intended to dial Prime Minister Netanyahu back at least until after Election Day, or was this an Edward Snowden type who thought No, we don't.
We know there's an investigation going on, and they were steering away from looking at a government official who had...
Access through his work to that information.
So that leaves a lot of space.
But this is top secret password only, and the universe is between 300 and 400 people.
The FBI should have their hands on that universe in 48 hours.
Yeah, well, apparently they couldn't.
I think what they were saying was that they could not trace it to somebody's computer or to somebody's copy machine.
Or to somebody's other form of access that would have left a trace.
I think that's what they would have looked at for immediately.
And so now they're sort of coming up with other theories.
One theory is, of course, that the Iranians might have hacked it.
And released it to preempt the Israeli attack.
Another theory is that the White House actually could have leaked it to slow up the Israeli plans to attack Iran because the United States doesn't, or put it this way, Biden doesn't want any disruptions to go on between now and Election Day.
He thinks that anything that makes it look like the government is screwing up.
Would rebound badly towards him and towards Kamala.
So that is that kind of thinking.
And that is also the theory the Israelis might have actually faked this whole thing and sent it out there with wrong information in terms of what their preparations were.
So you have a whole lot of theories.
Well, forgive me for using a Hillary Clinton phrase, but wasn't the actual attack with air quotes on Friday pretty much a nothing burger?
Depends who you talk to.
I was talking to some Iranian journalists, as you know, yesterday, and the issue of that came up.
And I said, well, they said, well, you know, the Jerusalem Post said that it was a devastating attack.
And I pointed out to them that the Jerusalem Post is very much aligned with Netanyahu.
Who wants people to think it was a devastating attack.
I said, if you had read the left-wing newspaper Haaretz, you would have gotten a different story.
And the different story based on satellite pictures and information seems to indicate that it was much ado about nothing.
What became of...
President Biden's order, I don't even know if it was an order, Phil, or something he said to Netanyahu, but the White House leaked it.
You've got 30 days to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, otherwise we will consider holding back certain weapons systems.
Yeah, that is what he said.
But the thing is, the 30 days is the trick.
Because when he said it, 30 days from then, Would take it to pass the American election.
So in other words, he was sending out an insurance policy to make sure that Netanyahu didn't try to do anything that would embarrass him before the election.
So I think that is kind of the trick to it.
And by the way, the Israelis have continued to stop to blockade food shipments, medicine shipments, all humanitarian aid going in.
And they finally destroyed Completely the last working hospital in Gaza.
So the Israelis are, as usual, ignoring anything that Biden says.
They set the rules.
The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called for a coalition of Muslim and Arab countries, I guess, I mean, the language wasn't that precise, to use force.
On Israel, in order to stop the genocide and prevent Israel from extending its borders into what are now recognized other countries, internationally recognized countries, what are the chances of that?
Well, the United States will block it, doing whatever it has to do to block it, even if that includes going into a real coalition with Israel.
And making that very clear.
But that's what I'm afraid of.
I certainly want Israel to stop it.
Biden can stop it in the peaceful way by withholding armed shipments completely.
Israel will be running out of weapons in about two weeks, is an estimate that I saw, if the US stops supplying them.
You know, and that would make everybody kind of think of, let's maybe do something different here.
But, you know, the president has no guts.
He clearly is not even involved in shaping the policy.
He's just a mouthpiece.
And this is a tragedy.
It's a tragedy for every American.
We're involved in a war, which our government has never even had the decency to explain to us.
Because the United States was never threatened in either of these wars, and the United States could have stopped them, and yet we're given nothing.
It's a tragedy, a tragedy for what this country has become.
And there never was a declaration of war.
There can't be a declaration of war because Gaza doesn't pose, the Palestinians don't pose any threat to the national security of the United States.
Russia doesn't pose any threat to the national security of the United States.
So Congress is paying for wars that it refuses to declare because the federal statutes that it has written and the treaties that the Senate has ratified prevent it from declaring war on anybody it wants.
So instead of declaring war, it just pays for war.
What are the 200 troops, American troops, doing in Israel?
Well, they're waiting to die, I think.
The principle there is, I think, Biden wanted to make some kind of gesture to Netanyahu to show that, oh, we're really backing you, Benji.
But the fact is that these guys are sitting ducks.
They're a tripwire.
The Iranians know exactly where they are.
The Iranians have missiles that can penetrate to where they are.
And, you know, then it'll be the call of Iran, whether they want to bring the U.S. into the war that way.
I would hope they wouldn't.
And I would hope that Biden would have had the sense not to make this gesture.
But, of course, again, who's calling the shots in Washington?
I guess it's coming from the Israeli embassy.
The Israelis achieve their goals just by brute force.
If their goals are, let me define their goals or my understanding of their goals, expanding the borders of Israel from the river to the sea to include Gaza, to include the West Bank, to include the Golan Heights and to include southern Lebanon.
Can they do this without some diplomatic recognition?
Well, I think when you hear the people around Netanyahu speaking, like Smotrich, Gewehr, these people are saying what their intentions are.
They make it very clear.
We're talking about eradication.
Of the Palestinian population of the country that used to be called Palestine 75 years ago.
And the fact is that can they do it?
Of course they can do it.
They've got a nuclear arsenal and they've got the means to deliver it.
They can destroy Tehran tomorrow.
They can destroy Beirut tomorrow.
They can do it.
And these people, believing that they have a God-given right to do this, Are dangerous.
And they are really dangerous.
And the fact that the United States government cannot come to grips with the fact of how dangerous and reckless these people are is frightening.
It's unimaginable in many ways.
But yeah, they can do it.
Sure, they can do it.
And after they nuke Tehran and they nuke Beirut and nuke, I guess, Cairo.
You know, there will be Joe Biden or his successor, whoever it is, standing up with a bunch of congressmen to defend Israel's right to defend itself.
I would think in a situation that extreme that Russia would get involved, Phil, wouldn't you?
I would love to see Russia involved, but, you know, Russia's got its own games to play.
It's not right for the US, which has encouraged this disaster, to be pointing to Russia or to be trying to implicate Russia in any way.
It's a tragedy.
Do you have any, I'm going to switch gears now, sources or information?
From your former colleagues in the intelligence community about whether or not North Korean troops are in fact on the ground in Russia.
I'm not talking about out by Siberia where they train.
I'm talking about where the conflagration is between Russia and Ukraine.
Well, what I'm hearing is probably There might be observers close to where the fighting is taking place, since North Korea and Russia are quite friendly.
And there might indeed be some oriental troops in the Russian army who come from, you know, Russian Siberia goes all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
And there are parts of Russia that are oriental.
And, you know, it's possible that some of these are being confused.
The Chechens have also been mentioned a couple times as being volunteers.
And that, again, could be a source for confusion.
And if the North Koreans are involved, does that mean ipso facto the South Koreans are going to get involved on the other side?
I'd be afraid of that, but I can see where it would lead to that.
The United States would suddenly be talking about the yellow peril again or something, and the menace being presented by these people.
I mean, they keep going on about China.
Well, just expand the language.
Wow.
Bill Giraldi, thank you very much.
I appreciate you letting me go off topic.
Your piece at the UNZ Review, Two Governments, that's U-N-Z if you want to read it, Two Governments Linked by Lies and Bloodshed is a very, very powerful piece and I commend.
People who follow us and follow Phil to read the piece.
Thank you, Phil, and thank you for changing your schedule to meet mine.
I know today's not Wednesday, but it's great having you on a Monday.
All the best, my friend.
Okay, well, thank you.
It was good to be on.
Of course.
And coming up at 4 o 'clock today, Scott Ritter, who's on fire.
