Welcome to another Justin Forum Talk Radio Show.
I'm your host, Craig James.
Hope you guys are having a wonderful day so far.
We're going to take some time out of the beginning of the week, as we always do, and play you a sermon from Pastor Dean Miller from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
It's an amazing sermon titled The Conclusion.
And I hope you guys enjoy it.
We're going to play that here in the first hour.
We always like to start our week off with some hope and encouragement.
So let's go over to Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon from Front Range Baptist Church.
Open your Bibles today to Ecclesiastes chapter 12.
And today we're going to hear the conclusion of the whole matter.
How many of you like cliff notes?
Anybody know what I'm talking about?
Cliff Notes?
It's the summary of a book.
Some of you are going to wonder when I get done today, why didn't we just start there?
And have to go through all these weeks through Ecclesiastes.
Some of you that like the cliff notes, you're probably the same people who did all of your book reports from the back of the book.
How many of you did the book report off the back flyweep of the book in the back?
How many of you ever did that?
Okay, come on.
I see those hands, Lord, and I see some of you that should have raised your hand and you didn't, but this is the sum of the whole book.
And this has been a call to fruitfulness by seeing the futility and the emptiness of Solomon's life.
If you've not been with us through the journey of Ecclesiastes, Solomon has called himself the preacher.
That doesn't mean that he's the guy getting up saying, thus saith the Lord, not doing what I'm doing today.
The preacher is the gatherer, he's the assembler, he's the collector.
In fact, that's why the book is called Ecclesiastes.
That's the Greek word for the ecclesia, the gathering of the church, the assembling of the church.
So the preacher here is Solomon who is living under the sun.
He's living a life under the sun, under this horizontal view of life.
And he's looking at all the randomness of life.
He's looking at all the things that can be gathered in life under the sun.
And he's trying to make sense of it.
Many weeks ago, I gave you an illustration about the puzzle.
And Solomon was a man who was trying to assemble the puzzle without the picture.
He had all the pieces, but he didn't have the picture.
And so he was trying to put it all together, and it was all vanity.
Vanity meaning futile and empty and pointless.
In other words, if you read Ecclesiastes at its face value, you're going to walk away from it saying, What's the point?
What is life all about?
Why is life even worth living?
What is the point?
The question really is this today.
How did Solomon, the wisest man in all the world, live as such a fool?
How did Solomon have all the wisdom?
Have anybody ever wondered that?
How could Solomon be so wise and live a life of being a fool?
I believe, as I've studied this book, I've written a couple things down.
Number one, wisdom does not negate the flesh nature of man.
Wisdom does not put aside the flesh.
I don't think we realize how strong our flesh and our sin nature is.
I don't think we really know the depths of the depravity of man's heart.
The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked.
Who can know it?
Solomon tried to pursue it and he lost everything.
Why?
Because of his sin nature.
Let me tell you the big difference between Solomon and David, his father.
There was one word that made the difference between David being a man after God's own heart and Solomon being the wisest fool that ever lived.
You know what that one word is?
Repentance.
When David sinned, David said, Oh God, have mercy on me.
God, forgive me.
David was aware of his sin nature.
I want to say that Solomon lived as a wise fool because success breeds self-reliance.
Oftentimes in our Christian culture today, we have taken success, prosperity, and blessings to equal favor from God.
And the more prosperous a person is, the better they're living for God.
That's not always the case.
The Bible says the wicked prosper.
In fact, the wicked, the Bible says, are wiser in this generation than the children of light.
They are able to make money.
They're able to build careers.
They know how to play by the rules of this world.
And so oftentimes, the unsaved are wiser at all of that than the saved.
And it looks like they flourish.
Many times the psalmists were saying, Lord, why do the heathen rage?
Why are they so prosperous?
And Solomon was taking all the prosperity as a symbol of God's blessing.
And watch what happened.
He began to depend on his prosperity and not depend on God.
I think Solomon was a wise fool because he made small compromises that eventually led to spiritual drift.
Let me tell you something.
One compromise here, one compromise there, here a little, there a little.
Before long, you have cut the moorings of your ship.
You're no longer anchored to the anchor of God and you're adrift on the sea of life.
Solomon was a wise fool because Solomon made a bunch of compromises with things that he knew better.
By the way, listen, he that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
How much did Solomon know, but he didn't do?
And that leads me to the last thing about Solomon being a wise fool.
Why was Solomon so wise and yet such a fool?
Because wisdom must not only be possessed, wisdom must be applied.
You can know to do good and not do it.
You can know what is wrong and not do it.
You can have wisdom from God.
You can be taught of God and yet not submit to God.
That's what Solomon did.
Solomon did not submit to God.
So in this final chapter, Solomon, this whole chapter is the conclusion.
Solomon, for once now, finally gets vertical.
He's been horizontal under the sun.
Now he gets vertical.
And he says in verse 1, remember.
He said, here's the conclusion.
Solomon says, you want to know what life is all about?
Here's the what.
Remember.
Remember.
Remember doesn't mean just to call to mind.
Remember means to focus.
It means to focus on and to keep in mind with the intent to obey.
See, you know what wisdom really is?
Wisdom is skillfulness in godly living.
Solomon had the knowledge of that, but he didn't know how to apply his heart to wisdom.
And so Solomon's saying, Now, hey, I'm up here above the sun.
Remember, focus.
I remember my coach in football, grabbing my face bask on the sideline.
He would say to me, he'd say, Dean, remember now.
Remember.
You have to fake that hand off there and make that quick pitch there.
Remember that.
Okay.
It's not going to work unless you do that.
What was he telling me to do?
Focus.
Get out there and focus on that.
So Solomon says in verse 1, remember, that's the what.
And he says, the win, now.
Remember now.
Remember right now.
When?
You better focus on God now.
Focus on God now.
Why?
Well, he says, remember, that's the what?
When is the now?
On who?
The creator.
Let me tell you, when Solomon introduces God here as the creator, that is a power move.
Because what Solomon is saying is this, he is the creator.
I am not.
He is God.
I am not.
He's the maker of heaven and earth.
I am not.
And if he's creator and I am creation, then he has the right to call the shots.
Remember.
To everyone who joined us for a powerful day of fasting and prayer, we stood together seeking God's presence, interceding for our families, our communities, and our nation.

Welcome to Just Form Talk Radio.
We're going right back to Pastor Dean Miller's sermon titled The Conclusion of Ecclesiastes.
Remember now, your Creator.
And then he says, Why?
In the days of your youth, when the evil days, when the evil days come not.
What's he saying?
He's saying the evil days are the days when you're going to grow old.
Listen to me now.
Your days are going to grow old.
You're going to get old, and that silver cord is going to be broken.
You're going to go the way of all the earth.
You're going to die one day.
And so remember now, the creator, in the days of your youth, while you have strength in your body, while you have opportunity in your life.
What are you waiting for?
Solomon's saying, What are you waiting for?
I'm an old man now.
Remember God now.
Remember him now before the evil days come.
And then Solomon is going to spend verses 2 through verses 9 giving us an illustration of those evil days when the keepers of the house tremble and the strong men are bowed over and the grinders cease to be and they fall out because they're few.
And those that look out the window are blind and are darkened and the ears are deaf and you cannot hear, but you get up early in the morning.
He starts speaking about our old age as we're going the way of all the earth.
He said, why?
Listen, don't wait till your evil days to start making things right with God.
Don't wait till you're lying on a hospital bed with terminal cancer about to go into eternity to start making things.
Listen, use the time and the energy and the strength and the opportunity you have now.
I've wasted my life.
Can you not hear in Solomon him saying, remember now, I'm old.
I'm writing this with a trembling hand.
Tears are flowing on my wrinkled face into my gray beard.
Remember now, your creator, in the days of your youth, before the evil days come.
Solomon gets to verse 10 and he says, I'll tell you what I did as I assembled.
The preacher, the assembler, sought to find out acceptable words.
I've been looking at all the pieces.
I've looked at prosperity.
I've looked at pleasure.
I've looked at everything.
I've brought in the kings of the world.
I've talked about philosophy.
I've talked about everything.
I've studied history and science and philosophy and the arts.
I've studied wealth and finance.
I've studied it all.
And I've tried to assemble together to find acceptable words.
And that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
He said, What I finally found was what was written before.
You know what was written before?
The word of God.
The words of truth.
Solomon stopped having discussions with the queens of Sheba and started talking to the king of kings.
He says in verse 11, the words of the wise are as goads.
A goad is what a shepherd would use as a stick.
That's what Jesus said to Paul.
He said, Saul, it's hard for you to kick against these pricks, against these goads.
I'm pricking you.
I'm poking you.
I'm goading you.
A goad was something that was used to goad, was to get the attention.
A sheep may be falling away.
Sheep are prone to wander, and a shepherd would goad and get their attention back to follow.
He said, The words of the wise are goads that get your attention.
But not only that, they're nails, he says in verse 11, as nails fastened by the master of assemblies.
That's God.
These are nails.
What God speaks to you gets your attention.
And what God says to you is a nail that you can hang on, you can hold to.
It will fasten you and secure you.
Listen, if you want to have a life that has meaning and purpose and truth, you've got to get in the words of life.
Get to the words of the truth.
Get to the words of the upright.
Let them be goads.
It's supposed to convict us.
It's supposed to get our attention.
It's supposed to move us.
Why?
Because you can hang your life on that.
You can build a life with that.
Listen, you can build a life.
Jesus alluded to this and said that a fool builds his life on the sand.
But a wise man builds on the rock.
And what was the application of that parable?
He that heareth these words and doeth them.
Solomon was such a fool, he heard the words and didn't do them.
And his life was vanity.
When the storms came and the winds came, Solomon's life was sand that swept out, was gone.
Jesus said, But if a man hears my words and does my words, he's like a man who builds his house on the rock.
There's security, there's foundation there.
And he says in verse 11, these are the words of the wise are goads, as nails fastened by the master of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
You know, you know what the problem is in the last days, we will heap to ourselves teachers having itching ears.
We will amass as many voices as we can, teaching us all kinds of things, until we can find the person we agree with.
But I'll tell you who you really need to hear.
You don't need to hear from me.
You need to hear from the Lord.
You need to hear God's word.
Jesus, the Bible says in the book of 1 Peter, is the chief shepherd.
He's the chief shepherd.
He's the shepherd of the church.
He is the pastor.
We need to hear him.
Verse number 12 was my life verse in college.
Because it seems like a negative view of education, he says, And further, by these, my son, be admonished.
Of making many books, there is no end, and much study is weariness to the flesh.
That was my college life verse.
But Solomon here is not giving a negative to learning.
What he's saying is this: He's saying there's no end to learning what man can say about life.
Theron Stallings was given an illustration yesterday.
He gave a testimony yesterday of his jail ministry and at men's prayer breakfast, and he was telling the men that he was in the jail and he led a man to Christ several months ago.
Led this man to Christ, and he's been working with this man, had this man reading the Bible.
Get in the Bible and read these books of the Bible.
We're going to do some study on that.
So he came into jail last week, sat down with this guy in jail, and said to him, So have you been reading the Bible?
He goes, no, I don't have time.
What do you mean you don't have time?
You're doing time.
All you got is time.
Where are you going to go?
What do you got to do?
And he said, I don't have time to read the Bible.
Why not?
He said, well, my friend introduced me to this book cart that we have down in the library, And it's got a whole bunch of self-help books.
And man, I love those.
I mean, I'm going to lay down God's book.
I'm going to pick up some self-help book.
I'm going to help myself.
And what Solomon is saying is, you're going to weary your flesh out.
You read every book.
Listen, you can read every book you want on marriage.
You read every book you want to read on raising kids.
You can read every book you want to read on the purpose and meaning of life.
And you'll never find an end.
You'll just have to go out and try to find out and sort with who you agree with and say, well, I'm going to do it that way.
Well, let me tell you something.
At best, it's a man's word.
But you get in God's word, He'll tell you how to be married.
He'll tell you how to raise your kids, He'll tell you how to live life.
So Solomon said, Now, listen, there's no end to it.
You'll weary your flesh out.
That's what I did.
So then he says in verse 13, here it is.
Are you ready?
Here's the message.
Here's the conclusion.
Of all the weeks of Ecclesiastes, here's the conclusion.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
That word duty there, meaning the purpose, meaning the cause, the function, the reality of man's existence.
You know what your existence is?
To fear God, keep his commandments.
Watch this.
For God shall bring every work into judgment and every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.
You want to hear the cliff notes?
You want to hear the conclusion to why Solomon's life was vanity?
Here they are.
Ready?
Solomon said, There's only three things to life.
Here's the whole function of life in three things: fear God, follow God, face God.
Fear God, follow God, face God.
I don't know if you've ever thought about this much this last week or in the last month or so of your life.
But the whole course of your life is going to one thing: it's a point under a man who wants to die, and after that, the judgment.
Every man will stand before God.
And Solomon, as an old man, puts down his quill and said, Okay, here it is.
Here's the answer to everything: Fear God.
Now, the world doesn't fear God today.
In fact, the world never has feared God.
Since man went into sin, let me tell you what the Apostle Paul said about it.
Listen to it very carefully.
Some of you will know right away where I'm reading from as I begin to read Paul's explanation of how the world lives.
Are you ready?
As it is written, there is none righteous.
Nope, not one.
There is none that understandeth.
There is none that seeks after God.
They are all gone out of the way.
They are all together become unprofitable.
There is none that doeth good.
No, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulcher.
With their tongues have they used deceit.
The poison of asps is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
Their feet are swift to shed blood.
Destruction and misery are in their ways.
And the way of peace have they not known.
Why?
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
I've heard a lot of preaching and theologians try to jump through hoops to explain away the fear of God.
But from Genesis to Revelation, you cannot explain it away.
It's not just an Old Testament principle, it's a Bible principle to fear God.
The fear of the Lord.
You know what Solomon is doing here at the end of his book?
Solomon, at the end of his life and at the end of his book, finds himself at the beginning.
Proverbs 1:7, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
Proverbs chapter 9 and verse number 8: the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Now, I want to tell you something about the fear of God.
Listen, if you're unsaved, if you're unsaved, there is a dread to face God as a sinner with your sins uncovered and unforsaken.
Listen to me.
The Bible says, the Bible says, it is a fearful Thing to fall into the hands of a living God.
The prophet Amos stood and said, Prepare to meet thy God.
We're going to meet him one day.
And if you meet him unforgiven and you meet him with unconfessed sin and you meet him unsaved, I will tell you something.
You're going to meet a holy and a just God who cannot wink at sin.
No wonder the Bible says that there will be many in that day that will stand before him and the books will be open.
And the book of Revelation says he will read from the books all that they've done, good and evil, everything.
And then he'll say, Depart from me, you worker of iniquity into everlasting damnation prepared for the devil and his angels.
I never knew you.
What a horrible thing to think about.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon says the very idea of eternal punishment crushes the soul.
And very well it should.
Very well it should.
God is holy and he's given us an entire book and he's given us thousands of years of preaching and prophets to tell us that there is coming a day where we will stand before God.
The Bible is filled with illustration after illustration of people who stood before God unclean and condemned.
Now as a believer, see as an unbeliever, when you see that there is an eternal place called hell and an eternal punishment, that's what causes us to flee to Christ, who bore the wrath of God for us, who took the punishment of God for our sins.
We run to him as the ark of judgment.
Noah preached for 120 years as the preacher of righteousness that the flood was coming.
It is going to come.
And the people mocked him until they went into that ark of safety and God shut the door and sure enough, the flood came and carried them all away.
Clutching on to their money, the Bible says they were buying and selling and making merry and marriage, giving in marriage and divorcing and they were living their own way.
The earth was full of violence.
It was just a dog-eat-dog cutthroat.
Get what I can get.
Go out and find my pleasure and my treasure.
And man was doing that until one day the flood carried them away.
It came, surely.
And only those who were in the ark of safety were delivered.
The preaching of God's word is to cause you to run to Christ.
The law is our taskmaster, the Bible says.
The law is our school teacher to bring us to Christ.
For those of us who've been to Christ, as a believer, the fear of God is still applicable.
Even the Apostle Peter wrote in his book, Fear God.
Honor the King.
Love the brotherhood.
Fear God, he said, fear God.
Even if our beloved brother Paul wrote in his epistle, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
That doesn't mean that we're working to be saved.
It means that we've been given salvation and we're working it out now with fear and trembling because we're going to give an account of ourselves to God as stewards of this great salvation.
And we ought to be working out our salvation with fear and trembling.
Now, you don't hear that from the modern grace movement.
All right, we'll be back.

We're going right back to Pastor Dean Miller.
To have the fear of God as a believer is to have a holy awe and reverence for God.
Today, I do not have a dread of God anymore.
Watch this, any more than an electrician has a dread and an unhealthy fear of electricity.
You find an electrician who's scared of electricity, he's not me working very long.
But I'll tell you what, an electrician knows.
An electrician knows the power that is in that wire, and he knows the power of that shock.
And let me tell you this: because he respects electricity and he reveres electricity and is in awe of electricity, when he is working on things, he has a carefulness and a focus.
He watches every movement.
He's careful of what he does.
Why?
He knows the power of it.
Now, listen, all of you know the fear of God.
You know it intuitively.
If a police officer walked in this building today, there are some in our society that would tell us that we have to run and fear and tremble because they're going to kill us, but that's not the case.
But if a police officer were to walk in this church today, you would not hide and tremble and double everybody down or terrified of him.
No, no, no, but I'll tell you this.
If you're going down the interstate with your crew set at 83, if you're going down the interstate with your crews set at 83, I see a lot of halos popping up right now.
But I also see them being held up with horns.
If you are going down the interstate at 83, how many of you say, Pastor, I'm guilty.
I'm there.
I'm there.
Okay, the rest of you are lying.
But if you are 83 and you come over the hill just having a wonderful day, you've got things on your mind.
You come over the hill and there the officer sits.
Oh, your heart goes from zero to 100 just like that.
And let me tell you the first thing you do, your eyes, where do they go?
Speedometer.
What does your foot do?
Hit the brake, tap it.
And then what do you do?
Ta-da-da-da.
You're looking in that mirror to see if he's moving.
Why?
You weren't terrified of him, but you had absolute respect for the power that he had.
That's why the Bible says the fear of the Lord is clean.
That's why the scripture Tells us in Proverbs chapter 8 and verse 13, the fear of the Lord is to hate evil.
Pride and arrogancy in the evil way do I hate.
I believe one of the best verses in the Bible that explains the believer's fear of God is Deuteronomy chapter 13 and verse 4.
I would encourage you to commit that to memory.
I have listened to it, what the Bible says.
Deuteronomy chapter 13 and verse 4, ye shall walk after the Lord your God.
All right?
Here he is.
He's Lord.
I'm walking after him.
Watch this.
And fear him and keep his commandments.
Sound familiar?
Walk after the Lord your God.
Fear him.
Keep his commandments and obey his voice.
And ye shall serve him.
Watch, and cleave unto him.
The fear of the Lord does not cause you to run and tremble and hide from God.
The fear of the Lord causes you to run to cleave to him.
Obey his word to run to him.
The fear of the Lord is clean.
The fear of the Lord is to depart from evil.
The fear of God is to check your speed.
What has God called me to do?
What am I doing?
Is there anything in my life that is displeasing to him?
And I'm going to run to the Lord.
He said, but Pastor, I mean, come on.
I mean, that's a heavy message.
I thought we were all saved by grace, man.
We live in grace.
Let me give you an exercise because I think we have a very perverted view of grace in our world today.
There's been a lot of stuff been preached about hypergrace.
Let me give you an exercise that I'd like you to do.
I would like you for the next week when you're reading your New Testament and you come across the word grace, I want you to replace grace with three words.
And I don't think you'll do any disservice to the scripture.
Are you ready for this?
Replace grace with three words.
When you come to the word grace, replace it with the sufficiency.
Well, it's four words.
The sufficiency of Christ.
The sufficiency of Christ.
Watch this.
Ready?
Galatians 2, 8, and 9 says, For by grace are you saved through faith.
Let's replace that.
For by the sufficiency of Christ are you saved through faith.
That not of yourselves.
It's not of works.
Lest any man should boast.
How about this one?
In the book of Titus, chapter 2.
And the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.
All right, let's replace grace.
And the sufficiency of Christ, which bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness, unrighteousness, that we should live righteously, godly, and soberly in this present world.
See, you know what many of us have done?
Many of us have thought that grace was God's little hall past.
Hey, man, we love Jesus.
God loves you.
Here's a hall pass.
You can do what you want.
You don't have to go to class.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
The grace of God is the sufficiency of Christ.
Hey, listen, that's why Paul said when people were saying, man, listen, we're saved now without our own works.
This is awesome.
Can we continue in sin that grace may abound?
And Paul said, what?
You're going to continue in sin that the sufficiency of Christ may abound?
God forbid.
How shall we that are dead to sin remain any longer therein?
Know you not that as many of us as were baptized into his death were baptized into his, that were also buried with him and baptized into his resurrection, that in the likeness God raised him up from the dead, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
It's the sufficiency of Christ.
That's why Paul said, I am crucified with Christ.
Nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, that the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Oh, the grace of God, that I am saved today, not by my own works, but through the sufficiency of Christ.
And I am not living today by my own power, but through the sufficiency of Christ.
It is Christ in me, the hope of glory.
And how dare we receive so great salvation and then live as we please?
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
God has given you so great a salvation.
I've given you the sufficiency of Christ.
And we will all give an account of our stewardship of that.
Don't let anybody displace grace.
Listen to me.
To let anybody say grace and to say that grace, watch this.
Everybody look at me for just a minute.
Everybody look at me.
I think that the modern age has taught us that the law is bad and grace is good.
That is not what Jesus taught.
Jesus actually said the law was good.
Why?
Because the law came from God.
It is the law that is good and we that are bad.
Don't think that Jesus came to destroy the law, but that through him the law might be fulfilled.
So Jesus did not come to destroy the law.
Jesus came to fulfill that law.
That's why we are not saved according to Romans chapter 3 and 4.
We are not saved by the works of righteousness that we do.
We are saved with righteousness of God without works.
Why?
It's the sufficiency of Christ.
He fulfilled the law.
He comes into us, and then he fulfills the law in us as we yield to him and work that salvation out with fear and trembling.
The Bible says that he took the old law that was written on the stony things and he wrote them on the tables of our heart.
Don't think that Jesus Christ came to deliver you over to a life that you can live as you please.
No, no, no.
If we're going to live in the sufficiency of Christ, we will be like a son who is well-pleasing to his father.
Jesus said, I did not come to work the works that I wanted to work.
I came to work the works of him that sent me.
I do always those things that please the Father.
The Father said, Behold, my beloved Son, in whom I'm well-pleased.
Jesus, thank God through his sufficiency, has made us accepted in the beloved.
But now through his sufficiency, he helps us to walk so as to please God.
I think many of us are going to have a really difficult time, according to Psalm 24, when we come into heaven at the judgment seat.
And he says, Who shall ascend into my holy hill?
Who's going to rule and reign with me?
You're saved.
But listen, but listen.
He's going to say to us in that day, Show me your hands and show me your heart.
He that is of clean hands and a pure heart.
The fear of God.
Solomon said, You know what?
I wished I could go back when I was a young man, and I wish I could walk in the fear of God.
We'll be back.

Hope to see you soon.
Bye.
This is a man's world.
But it wouldn't mean nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
It's not a woman or a girl.
Yeah.
It's not a woman or a girl.
It's not a woman or a girl.
Number two, he said, follow God.
This is the whole purpose of man.
He is the creator.
You are the created.
You're to follow him.
His commandments are life's manual.
People say, well, I wish life came with an instruction manual.
It does.
Boy, I'll tell you what, you get married.
I wish it came with a manual.
It does.
Boy, you know, if kids were just born with an owner's manual, they are.
Fear God, keep his commandments.
And by the way, don't think that commandment keeping is an Old Testament law.
We're going to close the book of Ecclesiastes today.
In a few weeks, we're going to jump into John 14, 15, 16.
And we're going to hear Jesus say, Hey, you love me?
Keep my commandments.
Abide in me.
Don't think for a moment that Solomon is rejoicing in his life.
He's regretting his life because he didn't follow God's commandments.
He didn't cleave to God.
He didn't seek God.
He didn't follow God.
Solomon wrote the words, there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end there are the ways of death.
Solomon is saying, I did not do what God called me to do.
I did not keep his commandments.
Deuteronomy chapter 13, verse number 4.
Thou shalt follow after the Lord thy God and fear him and keep his commandments.
That's the whole duty of man.
That's the whole purpose of man.
That's why Jesus said in his epistles, in his gospels, follow me.
Follow me.
Follow me.
Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden.
And I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn of me.
What is a yoke?
A yoke is that wooden thing that hooks two animals together so that they can pull together.
Jesus said, yoke up with me and learn of me.
What did Jesus say?
Jesus said, He said, You'll learn of me.
My commandments are not grievous.
I'm going to teach you how to walk.
I'm going to teach you.
And my burden is easy.
My yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Why?
Because through my sufficiency, I'm going to do my work in you and through you.
Keep my commandments.
When Jesus said, my sheep hear my voice and learn of me.
Somebody came to Jesus one time and said, Lord, can I ask you a question?
He looked at him and said, Why do you call me Lord and not do the things I say?
I mean, where do you come off calling me master and you're not listening to me?
Am I master or am I not?
Am I Lord or am I not?
And if I'm not Lord of all, I'm not Lord at all.
Keep my commandments.
You say, man, this is heavy.
Not as heavy as the burden on Solomon's shoulders when he knew he wasted his life.
I had all the power and all the pleasure and all of the prosperity.
And I blew it in nothing.
Because I did not fear God and I did not follow him.
And now, point number three, Solomon says, I have to face him.
I face him.
For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.
Solomon said three different times, Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and verse 17, that God is going to judge.
In Ecclesiastes chapter 11 and verse number 9, God says, hey, you better be careful because for all these things, God will bring you into judgment.
Six different times Solomon said in his book that you can enjoy life.
Never one time did he ever say, enjoy sin.
And the only way that you can enjoy the present is when you're secure with your future.
The only way that I can really enjoy today is to know that I have a secure future.
The only way that I can enjoy today is to know that I can face God with what I've done today.
And this is why John, in 1 John chapter 2, I want to read it to you.
You can turn to it if you want to.
I think it would be good for you to market in your Bible, but in John, in 1 John, 1, John, chapter 2, way back into the Bible.
This is John, the disciple that Jesus loved.
This is what John said in verse John 2 and verse 128.
Listen what he said.
And now, little children, watch this, abide in him.
We're going to talk all about this In John 14, 15, 16.
And now, little children, abide in him.
That when he shall appear, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
You mean to tell me that there are people who have been saved, they're little children, they're children of God.
They've been saved.
They've been born again.
God is their Father.
Christ is their Savior, and they are in the family of God.
That when they see the Lord, when they see Him, they'll be ashamed.
Yes.
This is what Paul said in 2 Timothy chapter 4.
I think you ought to mark this one in your Bible as well.
In 2 Timothy and chapter 4, listen to what this says in verse number 8.
You ought to mark this and commit it to memory.
Paul said, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.
And not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing.
You know, I believe there are two classes of Christians: there are Christians who are going to be ashamed when he comes, and Christians who are going to be looking and loving and laboring for him when he comes.
My dad was a Montana cowboy, and he, I've told you this before, but my dad kind of always regretted that he had to raise boys in the city.
My dad wanted us to break horses like he did.
He wanted us to get kicked in the face every once in a while.
I know he wanted us to get kicked sometimes because dad used to wear cowboy boots and always say to us, I'm going to build a size 11 bootstore in your backside if you don't get going.
And he never did, but he wanted to put some grit in us, wanted to make men out of us, want to make us tough.
Dad taught us to work.
He taught us to be gentle and kind and love our mother, but also to get our work done, all that kind of things.
But my dad, when he was leaving for work, dad would go to pastor, we were home in the summer, my dad would leave us a list of things that we boys had to get done.
Dad would make up stuff on that list.
Clean out that closet, reorganize it, put it all back in.
Dad would say, listen, I was 15 years old before I ever knew that there was such a thing as a weed eater.
I had those little handles with the little scissors.
I did like that.
Anybody else ever use those things?
Okay, some of you have never seen one, and it shows.
I've got strong forearms today because I had to go around the yard with those little scissors.
Click, click, click, click, click, clip.
And boy, you better not let a piece of grass be sticking up.
You better trim around those sprinkler heads as well.
I mean, listen, they better be done.
Dad would give us a list.
He said, all these things I want done before I get home.
Well, I've got two older brothers.
We'd get out in the garage.
We start cleaning up.
And man, we'd find a ball out there.
My brother Matthew, who's seven years older than me, and he is much bigger than me.
I mean, a lot bigger than me.
And if he's watching today when the Lord was passing out gifts in our family, Matt got size.
I got the brains and the looks.
But anyway.

There's something happening here, but what it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there telling me I got to beware.
I think it's time we stop children.
What's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down Oh.
I love you, bro.
But anyway, we'd get in that garage, and Matt would find a ball and say, Hey, think I can beat you in 21.
I'd say, No, you can't beat me in 21.
We get out there.
He'd start using his size, but he forgot.
Old Dino had learned on his jump shot.
And we get out there and we'd play.
And we'd play game after game after game after game after game.
And we would trash talk each other and push and shove and wrestle and fight.
You cheated and all that kind of stuff.
And we would find scrap pieces of wood.
We'd build go-karts.
We'd build forts.
We built a fort one time in the rafter of our garage with a bunch of scrap lumber.
I fell out of that thing one time, by the way, and landed on a log that my dad had got when he was cutting trees one time up in Walden.
My dad was cutting through a giant tree with a chainsaw, and something kept pow kicking the chain off that thing.
And finally, they got that chainsaw and cut that tree down and found out that that tree had grown around a railroad spike.
And dad had left that thing in that log, and that railroad spike was sticking out of it like that.
It was in our garage.
I fell out of that thing and landed on that railroad spike right here on my tin.
And it was an amazing thing.
My brother passed out, and my other brother took off his dirty sock and stuck it in the hole.
It's a wonder I don't have all kinds of infections today.
But anyway, we find stuff, we'd be building forts, we'd be doing all kinds of things.
We'd have neighborhood-wide hide-and-go-seek.
We'd get all the neighbor kids together.
We'd play hide-and-go-seek for the entire neighborhood.
We're jumping over people's fences.
Old people are like, get off my yard.
And we're hiding in window wells.
We're doing all kinds of stuff.
And then all of a sudden, the streetlights would go on.
And it was an oh no moment.
And we look up the hill, and here come dad's headlights.
Have you ever tried to mow the yard at 35 miles an hour in the dark with no LED?
When I left Mississippi, I left a John Deere tractor with a 56-inch cutting blade and all my man material.
I came out here.
I cannot believe the downgrade I had.
I went from six acres to a post-age stamp yard.
I'll never forget the disappointment in my girls' faces one day when they all came home.
We were brand new to Colorado.
I had an electric mower, battery-operated mower.
I mean, it was the same kind of thing I had when I was a little kid.
You rolled that thing around, and it just popped a little thing there.
I had that thing in my front yard.
Hey, the little postage stamp yard.
That's a true story.
I'm in shorts and flip-flops.
And I was holding a Starbucks.
And I was mowing, and they came home, and they all got out of the car and they thought, what happened to our dad?
And I just said, Colorado, baby.
My dad came home, and I want to tell you something.
When dad would come home and the list wasn't done, into the basement we would go.
We'd hear dad walk across that wood floor with his cowboy boots.
Boom, boom, boom.
And dad would come to the basement door.
Charles, Matt, Dean, get up here.
My brothers would say, well, Dean, go up there.
Go up there.
Go up there.
Tell dad a funny story.
And I don't know why.
I would always go up there.
Hey, Dad.
Did you hear what happened today?
And Dad said, I don't care what happened today.
Where's your brothers?
Everybody up here.
Come show me what you did.
What's that sound?
All right, we'll be back.
Stay tuned.
Stay tuned.

When you are starting a new business, there are so many things that can go wrong and so many people that are trying to help you, just like this segment.
However, there are a bunch of mistakes that almost all entrepreneurs make, especially in the first year.
And they make mistakes in every category: HR, marketing, finance, everything.
This week, I'm going to go through some of the most common mistakes and how to prevent them.
I'll start in just a second.
Tired of Talk and No Action on Climate Change?
Introducing The Real Environmentalists, the bold new book by Jim Beach.
It's not about activists, politicians, or professors.
It's about the entrepreneurs, real risk takers, building cleaner, smarter solutions, not for applause, but for profit.
The entrepreneurs in the book aren't giving speeches.
They're in labs, factories, and offices, cleaning the past and building clean products for the future.
The Real Environmentalists is available now because the people saving the planet aren't the ones you think.
Go to Amazon and search for Real Environmentalists.
Thank you.
One of the most common mistakes is skipping market research.
You assume that everyone else will like it, you do, but maybe there is a big factor that you're forgetting about.
You have to go and ask your customers what they think and get backup data to prove that you are not wasting your money.
Also, you might miss key insights that your customers could share with you.
Talk to them!
It is not because men have made laws that life, liberty, and property exist.
On the contrary, it is because life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that men made laws in the first place.
What then is law?
It is the collective organization of the individual right to lawful defense and punishing injustice.

So let's go over, finish the sermon, and then we'll get right into that press conference.
We were ashamed of his coming.
But I would tell you this: those days, there were a few of them that we actually got it all done, and we actually even did extra stuff.
When the streetlights came on, we were standing out there with a ball in our hand, and all the work done, waiting for dad to come.
Dad would come.
When I was a little kid, I always do stupid stuff.
I'd run up there and I'd act like I was hitchhiking.
My dad would just shake his head.
Nope, I'm not letting you in.
I don't take strangers in my car.
My brothers would do all kinds of crazy things.
I had one brother.
I never knew what that meant, but my brother would do this.
Dad would get home.
We'd all run up to him.
Dad, dad, dad, dad, come here.
Come see the garage.
Look what we did.
We actually even built this little shelf.
We were showing dad all the stuff we did.
Oh, to hear dad say, job, guys.
I'm proud of you.
Solomon said, listen, if I could summarize all of my vanity, if I could just tell you one thing, fear God.
Follow him.
Because you will face him.
And we want to face him with joy.
Gold, silver, precious stones.
Because I live for him.
Or wood and hay and stubble because I live for the wrong world.
What world are you living for today?
I want to tell you something, church.
I knelt down by my couch early this morning with this message on my heart.
I want to tell you, God, God worked me over this morning.
This is a truth that doesn't get preached very much in the world today.
I believe that if we had more fear of God, we wouldn't have to fear anything else.
If we fear him, we'd know how to live before him and walk before him.
I knelt by the couch today and I did some repenting.
I said, Lord, I'm 52 years old.
And I want to finish whatever God has called me to do over these next, however long I have.
I want to run this race with patience and with joy, laying aside weights, laying aside sin that does so easily beset me.
I said, Oh, God, how easily, how easy my flesh is laid aside, how easy I am pulled away.
God help me to remember every day I'm going to face you.
See, yeah, but the judgment seat is like Jesus just passing out participation trophies.
Oh, no, listen.
Paul, when he was talking about the judgment seat to believers, said, Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.
We're trying to get men to live for the Lord.
Give your life to him.
A life of futility, a life of emptiness, a life of vanity, a life that is pointless is a life lived wise in our own eyes.
Solomon was wise in his own eyes until he became a fool.
He realized it at the end, and he said, Hey, remember, now your creator.
In the days of your youth, when you have opportunity and strength, say, well, Pastor, I'm old now.
Listen, you're here.
You're breathing.
If you can take a breath in and a breath out, you can serve the Lord.
You can serve him with gladness and obedience and an obedient heart.
Don't waste your life.
We're going to get in the book of John in a few weeks, and we're going to see how to have a fruitful life by abiding in Christ.
Oh, listen.
May God let this church be a fruit tree orchard of just fruit-bearing believers living life God's way.
Fear him, follow him, so we can face him with joy.
Our heads are all right.
So that was Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon titled The Conclusion of Ecclesiastes there.
An amazing one we're very thankful for.
And yeah, we're going to get into the news now.
So, of course, you guys know we always get to what's happening today.
The big story is this.
In a few minutes, President Trump's going to be going live.
He's going to hold a press conference from the White House.
I'd like to play it live here on air.
This is talking about the new policies that will be hitting D.C. Washington, D.C. is going to be liberated today.
President Donald Trump saying in his true social post, saying, Crime, savagery, filth, and scum will disappear.
I will make our capital great again.
These days of ruthlessly killing or hurting innocent people are over.
I quickly fixed the border.
Zero legals in the last three months.
D.C. is next.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
So this is the big story, and this is what's going to be happening.
We'll try to play that press conference live here on air when that starts, which should be any minute now, 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
We're already 11 minutes past that point.
But like most things, you know, the White House says 10 a.m.
And they'll probably come out around 10.15, 10.20.
But before then, we can get through some of the news surrounding this topic, which I wanted to cover here today.
You know, it's interesting to see how this is being covered, but I'll give you my humble take on it to begin with, which is this.
Why is Trump doing this?
Well, just like the border, when you allow organized crime to prosper anywhere, there's going to be corruption.
There's going to be infiltration.
There's going to be death and destruction and despair.
And just like he made clear that the border was going to be a priority, and it has been, this similarly, I think, and more directly will affect the political discourse in America more than most people understand.
I mean, for those of you who don't know, there are parts of the areas surrounding Washington, D.C. that are basically inundated and overrun with gang violence.
You're talking about extreme poverty mixed with high levels of criminality, criminal violence, gangs, organized crime, you name it, drug dealing, sex trafficking, the works.
And not only is this a sort of blithe on our nation that our capital would be mired in such degeneracy and criminality, but it plays a large factor, I think, in how political discourse plays out in American policies.
Think of it this way: remember, it wasn't too long ago when Seth Rich, the DNC staffer who was allegedly the guy behind the WikiLeaks email dump, was murdered by those MS-13 gang members in the middle of the night, which we know connects back to the DNC most likely.
But why does that element have to exist?
Well, it's there because it's organized crime, and that's what they want to be there.
So, Trump's cleaning house.
Let's take a break.

Why does it seem America is slowly sinking?
Whose fault is it?
It's not Biden, Obama, or Trump.
It's not the Democrats or Republicans.
It's not the military, corporations, or foreign countries.
It's the Federal Reserve, a central banking system made up of private bankers that corrupt and control virtually all aspects of the world's money supply and the economy.
All of the major problems of the world can be traced back to the Federal Reserve and central banks of other countries.

So go get involved.
All right.
So again, we're waiting to get these remarks.
And I want to cover this live.
You know, we don't do a lot of live coverage here on the show, but mostly because of timing.
Usually it's just the timing doesn't necessarily work out for this show.
But today is one of those days where if this becomes or goes live while we're on air, I'm going to cut away to it and let that play because I do think it's an important thing.
And like I was saying before the break, you know, what's the significance and importance of all this?
Well, it goes beyond just making the streets safe, which is an important endeavor upon itself, right?
Or by itself, because, you know, there's obviously innocent people who are being harmed by these criminal gangs that have taken over large parts of these metropolitan areas, but particularly in our nation's capital.
And it would be great if this became like sort of a model by which other or for like a model from which other cities would learn, like Denver, but that's, you know, that's hoping for a lot more than, you know, more than what you would imagine is possible, unfortunately, because of the way things are at this point.
But the first thing is, you know, Trump's talking about, you know, federalizing D.C., which I guess he has the right jurisdictionally to do, and, you know, bringing in the DEA and all these other federal agencies to come work these areas to get rid of this crime and violence and gang violence, etc.
It's good and it's necessary, unfortunately.
Now, a lot of people, more the libertarian types, would probably, and a lot of Democrats would say, you know, he's turning it into the Gestapo and it's going to be, you know, Nazi brown shirt brigades and so on and so forth.
And, you know, obviously there is a concern.
I'm not ignorant to the fact that you would be concerned at any point when there is some sort of quote-unquote federal overreach.
But it does seem as though the police have and the city officials have either become overwhelmed or corrupted or a combination of the two by these criminal influences and they're incapable of doing their job.
I mean, it was the mayor, if you'll recall, Muriel Bowser of D.C., who basically said, you know, let's let Black Lives Matter march and terrorize and shut down businesses and paint murals across streets and, you know, declare their black, you know, racial supremacy.
And, you know, it's like that's insane, right?
That's that's a complete, you know, abdication of their duty as elected officials to represent all equally.
So that's one thing.
And the police obviously are overwhelmed and either corrupted or incapable of taking care of it.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be a problem.
Right.
And a lot of the police officers, I bet the rank and file you would talk to would say that.
Either their hands are tied by the bureaucrats, so they can't do anything about it, which is mostly the case, especially in blue states and cities like here in Colorado.
I've talked to a lot of police officers who know exactly how to fix the problem, but are corrupt and ineffective and completely oblivious or in some cases malignantly evil politicians decided unilaterally that they will handcuff police metaphorically and keep them from being able to do their jobs.
So that's what's happening in a lot of these states, including Washington, D.C. So by default, there's no real alternative.
You either let it continue to fester, grow, metastasize, whatever you want to call it, or you figure out a way to stop it.
It was like the border.
It was like, you just go in and you shut it down.
It seems pretty simple, but nobody wanted to do it, I guess, until enough people got pissed off looking around their city, watching it decay, watching their bills go up, their taxes increase, watching the, you know, the unfettered crime that comes in with these, you know, roving masses of people, just all kinds of things.
And again, it's not that you don't want to have the humanitarian side to it.
There is a balance, though, right?
And things had gotten so far out of balance that here we are.
So it seems as though Trump's going to be moving forward with this, and they're going to be talking about it sooner than later, I'm sure.
But I look at all of this and I see the left's reaction, and it's almost comical if it weren't so just plain old evil.
Some examples.
Here's MSNBC on the issue.
Listen to this.
One of the things that we have seen over and over from the president, from his team, you know, Stephen Miller saying it's like Baghdad and Ethiopia.
They seem to hold their harshest criticism sometimes for cities that are majority black and brown.
Do you see that?
And what do you think that means?
I think that I have been dealing kind of with this issue for a number of years.
It's kind of easy fodder on the campaign trail.
But now we're talking about governing.
And my job is to focus on making sure our city is running, is running well, and people enjoy a great quality of life.
And I think we're doing a really good job.
We do need the federal government's help, as I mentioned, because they have an outsized influence on our criminal justice system.
We need more prosecutors.
We need more judges.
There are other ways to help, even we want to rebuild our jail.
And there are ways that the feds can help with that.
But also just doing their part, cutting the grass, fixing the fountains, making sure that federal law enforcement is doing all of the policing that they can do.
And I just have to say thank you to NPS, FBI, ATF, who've always worked cooperatively with us.
Wow.
So that was Mayor Miro Bowser.
And not to be confused with the Bowser from Mario.
But yeah, that was Mayor Miro Bowser.
And basically, there you go.
That's her being asked, you know, basically by the Stooges, the Muppets on MSNBC.
You know, Trump's obviously a racist for wanting to do this.
And I think something changed in her.
She had some kind of epiphany when Trump won.
It seemed like she realized quickly that, you know, there's a new sheriff in town.
So the rhetoric and language changes abruptly.
And who knows what kind of stuff they have on her and what she's been doing.
I mean, what was it?
I mean, how many corrupt politicians have we seen run DC?
Wasn't it, am I crazy or was there a mayor of DC who was caught like on undercover camera with the FBI smoking crack and buying like bricks of cocaine or something to that effect?
And then Al Sharpton, of course, I know he was the one, but there was like a mayor.
It was like an undercover video.
He was like in a hotel room smoking crack of the mayor of DC.
I'd have to go look it up.
But regardless, like we know these people are corrupt in so many different ways, for sure.
And of course, they have to try to make it into a racial issue because they don't have anything else.
And I found this video that was so interesting talking about the leftist logic and then how this is sort of shaped.
How do they think about this when it comes to understanding the law?
And it's always one way versus the other.
Meaning that you have the liberal ideology, which is like the offender is always the person who should be prioritized.
And that's just insane, first of all.
And second of all, it's one of those things where When you examine it at face value, you quickly realize that the way that they think about things is so backwards.
And this is a great video exemplifying that.
Listen to this.
This bill is really focused on punishment, and I just want to look at these types of considerations with a bigger lens.
We're talking about people.
We're talking about victims.
We're talking about perpetrators.
We're talking about human beings doing things to other human beings that should not be done.
And what are we going to do about that?
And again, what this bill says is that when you get your third violent felony conviction, we're done.
Like, we're not playing anymore.
Like, I, I, past that point, I don't know if I care if you ever become a productive citizen because you have opted out of productive society.
Your third violent felony conviction.
I don't know how interested I am in making sure you get educated and you get a like at that point.
You're talking about a chronic dysfunction in a person's ability to be a member of society.
And past that point, it is the responsibility of those of us who govern society to protect everyone else, to protect everyone who is functional, who isn't harming their neighbor, who isn't violating the rights of others.
I'll give you some stats that I know are solid and that from a source that I know you trust.
And I won't disclose the particulars of where I got this from, but I think you'll know when I tell you.
I had a meeting this week with somebody who works with juveniles.
And he presented me a folder that was about as thick as one of our statute books.
The documents inside covered the crimes committed by only six juveniles.
Those six juveniles over the course of the last 18 months are personally responsible for 174 separate victims.
174 separate human beings, real human beings, whose lives were touched in an inappropriate way by the actions of these kids.
That's an average of 29 victims per kid.
Now, at some point, our consideration properly should be the 174 as opposed to the six, right?
Like, all the concern of the current trajectory and momentum of our public safety conversation in this state seems to be upon the six.
What do we do about the perpetrators?
What do we do to make their lives better?
What do we do to put them on the right track?
What about the 174 victims who somehow figured it out?
They somehow have managed to go through their lives without hurting other people and stealing from other people and harming other people.
Yeah.
No, I like that video.
That's, you know, I think it was a city council meeting, and it was basically in a leftist city.
You know, you had a blue city that they're arguing this insanity, right?
They're sitting there basically saying, well, you know, we're going to have to, you know, consider the feelings of the perpetrators.
And he, the councilman, who I believe was a Democrat there, laid it out.
I mean, because you have to play it in their own terms, right?
I mean, of course, I would probably advocate for more stricter and severe penalties, even on first-time offenses, because if you're the kind of person who goes out and commits violence against another person, you know, obviously unjustifiable and illegal, whatever, you know, qualifier, qualifier, qualifier.
But if you're that kind of person, you must be made as an example for others to not do it.
Then that creates a society where you have laws.
And I think people should be, you know, have second chances and all.
I'm not against that.
But at the end of the day, the leftists, I love how it framed it.
Leftists are always thinking about it from the perspective of what can we do to help the perpetrators and not the victims.
And it's just such, and it shows you where their mind is.
Stay tuned.

Welcome back to Justin Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're waiting for President Trump's live remarks from the White House press conference that he's holding on what's going to be happening in Washington, D.C. This new, I think they're going to be deploying some National Guard troops.
They're going to be deploying federal officers.
It's going to be quite extensive.
So if that goes live, we'll get that coverage going.
But we're sort of talking about the need for it and how the coverage from the media is going to be.
Because, again, you can set your clock to how they'll frame it, you know, in the predictability of it all.
Like, it's going to be, it's a racial thing.
It's going to be, you know, this is Trump trying to get the fascist brigades rolled out.
It's like, but no accountability is taken by the left, right?
And again, they don't even want to frame it from the perspective that is the most honest and true perspective: that, hey, our cities are so overwhelmed.
Our police officers are so overwhelmed.
Our politicians are so inept.
The whole system is so broken that gangs can walk the streets freely and commit violence without any repercussion or very limited repercussion, right?
They take control of entire territories.
You know, I've always thought about it.
It was an interesting thought to have.
When the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone thing took off, the Chaz thing, and I'm pretty sure that was in Seattle.
Is there Seattle or Portland?
But I'm almost certain it was Seattle.
And that was during the BLM stuff and the Antifa stuff in the 2020 area.
And I always thought, yeah, you know, this is terrible.
This is terrible.
But then when you think about it in perspective to like, you know, any major city, there are parts of Chicago you can't go.
They're autonomous zones for sure.
Police don't go there.
It's, you know, kill or be killed, really, in those areas.
And, you know, there are many other examples in many other cities across the country: New York, Miami, D.C., L.A. There are just, there are so many examples of those kinds of things that exist.
And Trump saying he's going to do something about it, I think, is good.
But here, let's listen to what MSNBC again had to say about this to give you an idea of how the left is framing this and what their thoughts are on it.
Listen to this.
Were the National Guard deployed here?
We certainly know what happened when they went out to Los Angeles earlier this year that raised a lot of emotions for people.
You know, there's reports of the FBI agents.
A lot of them have fanned out in the streets now to combat crime.
So certainly trying to bring crime down, a noble effort, but what do you make of the way this is being done?
Yeah, I just don't know that it's a noble effort in this instance because I don't believe that Donald Trump can be trusted to do this.
It is disturbing to think about all of these federal agencies and law enforcement being deployed in this way against American citizens.
They shouldn't be policing.
That's not their job.
And of course, crime is a major issue.
And quality of life, as Joe said, is an important issue.
I think the best thing, and of course, this isn't going to happen right now, but I personally believe that Washington, D.C. should be its own state and should have local governance that is accountable to the people who live there and pay taxes there.
Now, barring that, I also have to wonder: crime is a serious issue.
Again, no matter who you are, you want to know that your community is safe.
But how much of this is about grandstanding, is about Donald Trump just bashing cities because this is another point of distraction for him with the Epstein files, with anger that he has domestically over this meeting coming up with Vladimir Putin.
There's a lot of things that he would like to distract us from.
And so bashing cities has been a go-to thing for him to do.
Also, the discussion of homelessness, homelessness is a serious issue.
It's a quality of life issue first for the people who are unhoused, and secondly, for communities who are affected by it.
But nothing that we've heard from this White House so far suggests that he actually cares about these people or improving the situation.
The fact that the all right, that's enough.
Mara Gay, the New York Times opinion writer, had to chime in there.
And basically, you know, that sort of level of hubris is what we're looking at.
But here, President Trump's about to go live.
Let's go right over to that here.
He's coming out.
We got all of that.
We got Cash Patel.
We got Pam Bondi.
We got Pete Hagseth.
We got Judge Janine.
We got who else is on stage there?
The Deputy, the Homeland Interior, Secretary of the Interior, the former governor of North Dakota, I want to say, is up there as well.
And here comes President Trump.
Let's listen to remarks from the president.
I've been up here a lot.
I've never seen a crowd like this.
I think we need a ballroom.
And that's happening.
It's going to be a beautiful ballroom.
This is really a lot of people, most I've ever seen in this room.
And we're here for a very serious purpose, very serious purpose.
Something's out of control, but we're going to put it in control very quickly, like we did on the southern border.
I'm announcing a historic action to rescue our nation's capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor.
And worse, This is Liberation Day in D.C., and we're going to take our capital back.
We're taking it back.
Under the authorities vested in me as the President of the United States, I'm officially invoking Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act.
You know what that is?
And placing the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control, and you'll be meeting the people that will be directly involved with that.
Very good people, but they're tough and they know what's happening, and they've done it before.
In addition, I'm deploying the National Guard to help re-establish law, order, and public safety in Washington, D.C., and they're going to be allowed to do their job properly.
And you people are victims of it, too.
You know, you're reporters, and I understand a lot of you tend to be on the liberal side, but you don't want to get you don't want to get mugged and raped and shot and killed.
And you all know people and friends of yours that that happened.
And so you can be anything you want, but you want to have safety in the streets.
You want to be able to leave your apartment or your house where you live and feel safe and go into a store to buy a newspaper or buy something.
And you don't have that now.
The murder rate in Washington today is higher than that of Bogota, Colombia, Mexico City, some of the places that you hear about as being the worst places on earth.
Much higher.
This is much higher.
The number of car thefts has doubled over the past five years, and the number of carjackings has more than tripled.
Murders in 2023 reached the highest rate probably ever.
They say 25 years, but they don't know what that means because it just goes back 25 years.
Can't be worse.
Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged out maniacs and homeless people.
And we're not going to let it happen anymore.
We're not going to take it.
Just like we did on our southern border, nobody comes to our southern border anymore.
Three months in a row, we had zero.
I don't know if that's right, but the people that do the work, it's a very liberal group of people, actually, and they actually said zero for the last three months.
Nobody thought a thing like that was possible.
And, you know, when you take a look at numbers, I just saw some charts.
These are different cities throughout the world.
Red is okay.
The red is a place called Washington, D.C. Look at these.
Baghdad is we doubled up on Baghdad.
Panama City, Brasilia, San Jose, Costa Rica, Bogota, Colombia, heavy drugs.
Mexico City, I mentioned, Lima, Peru.
All double and triple what they are.
So do you want to live in places like that?
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
And I think the people in this room, if you wrote correctly, you'd see, look at the kind of numbers we have.
D.C., 41 per 100,000, number one that we can find anywhere in the world.
Other cities are pretty bad, but they're not as bad.

And I would like to encourage everyone to make sure they are prepared financially as the Federal Reserve continues to destroy the value of the dollar.
Since the closing of the gold window in 1971, the Federal Reserve has led the way in the explosion of debt and the devaluing of your money.
They openly say that they need 2% inflation, which simply means they hope to devalue your money, and they want to do this every single year, year after year.
I know it's hard to understand, but the Federal Reserve believes in prosperity through debt and growth via the devaluation of your future.

Sooner or later, gotta cut you down.

Welcome, Margaret, Just Forum Talk Radio.
We're listening to President Trump's remarks live from the White House press conference on the federalization of law enforcement in Washington, D.C. Let's go back to it.
Is that that way you want to live?
The reporters of the world.
Juvenile offenders and crimes against persons, as they say.
It's getting worse.
Not getting better, it's getting worse.
And we had a recent indication.
There was a story about a man who was just left.
He quit because he was asked to do phony numbers on crime.
And we're going to look into that.
I think Pam is going to be looking into that.
But he was asked by the city, I guess.
We don't want to show the real numbers.
Let me do numbers so it looks like it's going down.
Not going down.
And under Biden, it was a disaster.
And nobody did anything about it.
We're going to do things about it like you wouldn't believe.
Every American has a constitutional right to be able to access and petition their government in safety.
And countless federal officials and employees likewise have the right to carry out their jobs in peace without being shot.
As you know, I lost a very good person a while ago, was shot waiting for his wife.
He was in the car.
They robbed his car.
They shot him.
They killed him like there was nothing to it.
She was walking to the car.
She was, it's a horror show.
This issue directly impacts the functioning of the federal government and is a threat to America, really.
It's a threat to our country.
We have other cities also that are bad, very bad.
You look at Chicago, how bad it is.
You look at Los Angeles, how bad it is.
We have other cities that are very bad.
New York has a problem.
And then you have, of course, Baltimore and Oakland.
We don't even mention that anymore.
They're so far gone.
We're not going to let it happen.
We're not going to lose our cities over this.
And this will go further.
We're starting very strongly with D.C., and we're going to clean it up real quick, very quickly, as they say.
Days ago, a former member of the Doge staff was savagely beaten by a band of roving thugs after defending a young woman from an attempted carjacking.
He was left dripping in blood.
He thought he was dead with a broken nose and concussion.
Can't believe that he's alive.
He can't believe it.
In June, a 21-year-old congressional intern was tragically killed after being hit by a stray bullet in a drive-by shooting.
A former Trump administration official named Mike Gill, fantastic person, was murdered last year in cold blood in a carjacking blocks away from the White House.
We all knew him.
Great person.
Waiting for his wife As she was walking to the car.
A Democrat congressman was also carjacked at gunpoint not far from the Capitol.
And in 2023, an aide to Senator Rand Paul was stabbed in the chest and head by a demented lunatic as he walked down the street just absolutely for no reason.
Horrifically, last July 4th weekend, a three-year-old girl was shot in the head and killed while sitting in a car near the Capitol.
It's becoming a situation of complete and total lawlessness.
And we're getting rid of the slums too.
We have slums here.
We're getting rid of them.
I know it's not politically correct.
You'll say, oh, so terrible.
No, we're getting rid of the slums where they live.
Caravans of mass youth rampage through city streets at all times of the day.
There are ATVs, motorbikes.
They travel pretty well.
Entire neighborhoods are now under emergency curfews.
Just this past weekend, gunfire went through, and you saw that the Navy Yard.
I saw it this morning.
They saw that they fought back against law.
See, they fight back until you knock the hell out of them because it's the only language they understand.
But they fought back against law enforcement last night.
And they're not going to be fighting back long because I've instructed them and told them whatever happens, you know, they love to spit in the face of the police as the police are standing up there in uniform.
They're standing and they're screaming at them an inch away from their face.
And then they start spitting in their face.
And I said, you tell them, you spit, and we hit.
And they get hit real hard.
It's a disgusting thing.
I've watched that for years, for three, four years.
I've watched them.
The police are standing, and they're told, don't do anything under any such.
So they're standing.
And you can see they want to get at it.
And they're standing there, and people are spitting in their face, and they're not allowed to do anything.
But now they are allowed to do whatever the hell they want.
This dire public safety crisis stems directly from the abject failures of the city's local leadership.
The radical left city council adopted no cash bail.
By the way, every place in the country where you have no cash bail is a disaster.
That's what started the problem in New York, and they don't change it.
They don't want to change it.
That's what started it in Chicago.
I mean, bad politicians started it, bad leadership started it, but that was the one thing that's central: no cash bail.
Somebody murders somebody and they're out on no cash bail before the day is out.
We're going to end that in Chicago.
We're going to change the statute.
I spoke with Pam and Todd and everybody.
We're going to change the statue, and I'm going to have to get the Republicans to vote because the Democrats are weak on crime.
Totally weak on crime.
They don't know why.
They want to stop because they get mugged too.
But we're going to change no cash bail.
We're going to change the statute and get rid of some of the other things.
And we'll count on the Republicans in Congress and Senate to vote.
We have the majority, so we'll vote.
We don't have a big majority, but we've gotten everything, including the great big beautiful bill.
Got that done, and that's one of the greatest things that's ever happened to people in this country.
They're starting to figure it out, how good it is.
Biggest tax cut in history.
So many things.
But we'll be able to get that done.
So, Todd, if you and Pam can draw up things working with the people, we will.
I'll get it passed.
We'll get it passed with the Republicans.
Probably won't get, think of this.
Probably won't get one Democrat vote because they have no idea what they're doing.
That's why they want men playing in women's sports.
That's why they want transgender for everybody, everybody transgender.
And they've just got.
Yeah, that's why they want transgender for everybody.
It's true.
He's got a point.
Not lying.
Stay tuned.
We're coming back.

Back in the USSR.
Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society.
As a result, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude we object to it being done at all.
We disapprove of state education, and the socialists say we are opposed to any education.
Socialism.
Frederick Bastiat, the law.
Back in the U.S., back in the U.S. as our reasons to own gold, number 175.
Universal basic income, where the government just gives people money because they won't be able to live and provide for their families because the dollar has been devalued beyond comprehension while never admitting to inflation.
Prosperity never comes from the printing press.

When I was broken at the bottom, I found you're my healer and redeem Jesus.
That's who you are.
You brought me best sins out of tragedy.
You turned my old song into a symphony.
And with your steel living inside of me, I'm a new creation.
I'm a new creation.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
But it rose until I stumbled and made my mistakes.
Then I could know in my soul how amazing was grace.
Welcome back, Just Form Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James, and it's our final segment.
Man, time does certainly fly.
So that's all we're going to get from the live press conference since it started about a half hour late.
But you got the gist of it.
Trump's going to be federalizing the DC police, which is probably why Mariel Bowser sounds so, let's just say, humbled, right?
If that's even a thing that she possesses the ability to do or to possess humility.
And we'll see how that all plays out.
Probably we'll have more updates on it tomorrow.
So make sure you stay tuned for that.
And I mean, all the points Trump makes about that, as far as crime goes, is so true.
And many, he mentioned other cities.
I mean, Denver should be on that list for sure.
Denver and Boulder.
If you've seen what the left blue politicians have done, it's just reprehensible, you know, the way they allow crime to thrive, criminals to thrive, and crime to, you know, persist and grow.
So that's unfortunate.
And today I want to go over to Romans to talk about, you know, the authority that the government has.
And if you read in Romans chapter 13, it talks about how we are to submit to the governing authorities, to the rulers, right?
And it gives you this directive, I think, primarily to make it clear that in the Ultimate nature of life, God has a plan, right?
And we don't know what that plan is, but that goes from the smallest part of your life to the largest part of the world you live in.
That plan.
And a part of God's plan is for us to live in this humble submission to the authority, given that they're there for a reason.
God puts them there for a reason.
If you read in 13 verse 4, it says, For government is God's servant for your good, but if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason.
For government is God's servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.
Therefore, you must submit not only because of wrath, but also because of your conscience.
And for this reason, you pay taxes since the authorities are God's public servants.
Continually attend to these tasks.
Pay your obligations to everyone.
Taxes to those who you owe taxes, tolls to those who owe tolls, respect to those who owe respect, and honor those who you owe honor.
And it reminds me of when Jesus was talking to his disciples, and they asked, or he was talking to, I believe it was the Pharisees, and they were asking him, trying to get him, trick him into, you know, saying something about Caesar.
And he said, whose face is on that coin you hold?
Well, gift to Caesar.
What is Caesar's?
So there's a lot more to it, but I'll leave it there.
And perhaps we'll even talk about it a little bit more tomorrow.
Of course we will.
Stay tuned.
More to come.
I'll be back tomorrow, God willing, do all over again.
You know, time just runs out sometimes, and here we are.
We'll see you on the next one.
Until then, go out and have a great day.
And if you haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, go do that as well.
But we'll see you tomorrow.
Until then, I'm your host, Craig James, this is Justin Form Talk Radio.
