Today's going to be an interesting episode because I want to dive into this subject that was brought up in the comments yesterday.

But somebody brought up a point that I've been asking myself for quite some time now.
We touched on this briefly in another video, but we have to ask the serious question.
Are we unknowingly being prepped?
for a major global disaster event and is that all being brought to us under the guise of this COVID authoritarianism and is it them doing what they really think is going to help us the most or is it the same as it's always been which is creating order out of chaos and ensuring that their authority will last through a cataclysmic event we're going to look at what is actually being documented as happening to our earth as we speak And it's a very
fascinating issue and subject.
I'm going to bring you a very well-documented author on this subject.
We're going to watch a little bit of his work.
His name is Ben Davidson.
He is over at Suspicious Observers.
We're going to look at a piece he's done on the magnetic pole reversal and what it actually does to the magnetic shield of the Earth, if you will, and how that cataclysm could be playing itself out and how...
Maybe we're all just being distracted on purpose with everything that's happening all around us to keep us from looking at the biggest cataclysmic event of our lifetimes and probably the history of our entire world for the last several thousand years.
So we're going to look at that, plus we're going to talk about a bunch of different news stories.
We're going to cover all the news as usual.
But what's interesting to me is that on the heels of COVID now, we have the new...

Coming out of the World Cup Games that's taking place in Qatar right now, it's called the Camel Virus, a.k.a.
MERS, a.k.a.
Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome, and now that's going to be the next pandemic, so is that the next push for authoritarian overreach in our society globally?
And again, we're going to ask the serious question, is this all just a distraction from what's happening?
I want to hear your thoughts in the comments below, but I think about this every single day as far as a possibility for the explanation of what's going on here.
So there's that.
We're going to get through a bunch of other news stories, a little update on Sam Bakeman Friedman.
He was arrested, oh, right before he could testify before Congress.
How convenient.
The guy running the crypto Ponzi scheme from the Bahamas, from the Caribbean islands, on behalf of the intelligence services so they could launder money to politicians in the United States, just so happens to be arrested before he can publicly speak on Capitol Hill in front of Congress.
Hmm, not a coincidence at all.
Plus, we're going to briefly touch on a few other subjects and stories that you're going to want to hear about.

Well, I want to start here with this story.

It's an article that's been reposted here where it talks about why you may soon find yourself in digital prison.
Now, what's interesting about this article is it talks about how your digital identity will be required to unlock all aspects of your life from logging onto the internet to accessing social services, travel, food, shopping, and financial services.
The highlights of the article are interesting here.
I'm just going to read through these.
An international vaccine passport, digital identity, a social credit system, and a central bank digital currency form a digital control system that will lock down the population in perpetuity.
Facial recognition is an essential part of the control structure as it's the password to your digital identity.
By the end of 2022, there will be one billion data collecting surveillance cameras in the world, all connected to the internet and artificial intelligence.
Cameras and audio recording devices in cell phones, automobiles, and smart appliances also collect and share data.
All these data are then used to give each person an individual score.
Based on their behavior, expression, and interaction with the world, ultimately your social credit score will dictate what you can and cannot do, what you can buy, and where you can go.
AI is an absolutely crucial component without which the control system cannot work.
The easiest way to push against this system is to starve AI of data by refusing to use technologies that collect information I agree with that article 100%.
Now why are they trying to install and create this global control system?
Well, what if our world was coming to an end?
Now I don't mean it in the sense that an asteroid is hurling toward us and we're all going to be blown into oblivion overnight.
I mean, what if our world was going to slowly collapse?
What if we were all about to be exposed to high levels of radiation, let's say, radiation from the sun that we cannot control anymore?
What if the power that we have is rendered ultimately useless overnight?
For me, and you guys out there probably, you would think, okay, well, I have Jesus in my heart, I believe in God, and whatever happens, we will let that happen, and we'll pray to God, and His mercy will be done.
His will will be done.
But...
Other people don't see it that way.
And there is a lot to be said for a global control system that is based on making sure that if there were a disaster scenario, like if you ever watch any of those disaster movies, you'll see what happens is, you know, if there is a disaster scenario where the world is coming to an end or an abrupt changing if there is a disaster scenario where the world is coming to an end or an abrupt changing event, an ELE extinction level event or some sort of cataclysmic global disaster, that,
The governments will purposefully withhold that information from large populations to avoid mass chaos, civil unrest and anarchy and other things.
And maybe, just maybe, if we were facing a situation in our lifetime that could happen, let's say within the next decade or two, of a massive global catastrophe and the world governments were fully aware of it, would it not stand to reason that those world governments would would it not stand to reason that those world governments would start installing higher levels of control over
Not really necessarily for our own good, but more overly to make sure that their authority persists through the cataclysmic event.
Now, you go, Craig, what are you talking about?
Is this another one of your conspiracy rants?
Maybe.
Maybe.
But I also think it stands to reason that when you understand the way that these people think, then it becomes more clear how they will act.
And once you understand how they will act, you can see what they're doing for what it really is.
And in that sense, you have to go back and look at what happened with COVID and where it's brought us to today and where we're headed in the future with new pandemics that they say are going to keep coming at a pace that they cannot keep up with.
Not to mention the fact that a pandemic would be the perfect cover, let's say, for a scenario in which or a scenario of which I'm about to show you where, according to many scientists, we have a weakening magnetic sphere, magnetosphere, basically we have a weakening magnetic sphere, magnetosphere, basically the shield that prevents EMF and EMP or electromagnetic radiation from the sun from,
from penetrating onto the Earth's surface and basically cooking us like in a microwave alive.
Well, what's happening?
I'm going to let this video speak for itself because I'm not as well versed in this as the individual who made this, Suspicious Observers channel creator Ben Davidson.
But this is the case for the magnetic pole shift, the timeline in which it's coming, and what the effects of it may be.
We're going to watch this video and then we'll talk about it briefly.
I want to play it real quick though for you.
Watch this about the magnetic pole shift and how it's happening as we speak.
Above all other risks that nature can throw at us, the one that comes most regularly and has the most pronounced effect on the extinctions of species is gearing up right now.
The magnetic pole shift is the most important natural science item you can attempt to share with someone.
It's not that thing you heard happen 700,000 years ago, and it doesn't take thousands of years to unfold.
What you should learn from this video is that these shifts happen about every 12,000 years, and they happen fairly rapidly.
One is in the process of hitting again in many of our lifetimes, and this is a major problem for our planet, more specifically the species living here.
Let's begin with the occurrence rate and cycle.
The last major shift was Gothenburg, about 12,000 years ago, same time as the younger, driest cold snap.
It was tremendously disastrous for the Americas, which is one of the reasons they had to relatively rediscover this area in the latest age of Earth.
They have even found a miniature half-cycle version between Gothenburg and now, and they find it elsewhere in history.
In fact, the half-cycle event before Gothenburg is fairly well pronounced.
It's called Helena Polly, and it was about 17,000 to 18,000 years ago.
Before that, the Lake Mungo Magnetic Excursion struck at the last glacial maximum.
It was tremendously hard hitting on Europe and Asia, which was also hit hard by the previous cycle, the Mono Lake Excursion.
The Mono Lake Excursion and the one before it, Le Champ, are often studied together due to there being several key core samples covering that date range.
Le Champ was tremendously impactful on nearly the entire world.
LeChamp was indeed probably the worst such event of the last 100,000 years, with several of the large fauna disappearing during the event.
Before that, we have one around 60,000 years ago, recorded pole to pole, especially in Greenland and the Vostok cores from Antarctica.
So without even covering several other known events before that, we can already confidently say no.
This is not the event that happens hundreds of thousands of years apart.
The cycles and half-cycle events in the last 60,000 years show rapid flips of the field, much different than the thousands of years commonly believed.
We are 12,000 years since the last one.
We are due again.
And it's happening.
In the year 2000, NASA told us we were down 10% in the magnetic field since the 1800s, and that number was updated just 10 years later by the newer ESA Swarm mission to being down 15%.
It means we went from losing about 5% of Earth's magnetic protection per century to 5% per decade, and that has been matched by a physical shifting of the magnetic pole locations.
By now, 12 years after the ESA swarm update, we are likely down about 25%, and with a minor acceleration reported in the Pacific sector in 2017, We are likely losing about 1-2% of Earth's field every year.
These events can happen in less than a human lifetime, so we're way beyond that range now and in the danger zone for these rapid flips to hit their peak, which will peak at 100 times faster acceleration than we have now.
While current descent timelines put us about 1-2 decades away, Nobody knows when that next rapid shift will occur and when it does, we'll have just months until the end.
This matters because what was once an innocent question has turned into a terrifying reality.
The impact of magnetic changes on the climate and other geophysical phenomena is profound.
This is because the magnetic field modulates the energy taken in by the Earth from cosmic rays and solar radiation.
The awareness of the climatological impact now has started to make major waves in the community.
It has been shown that evolutionary paths have been less random and more tied to major changes in the environment, tied to these magnetic changes.
And most recently, the best in the world teamed up in the world's top geophysics journal to firmly stamp the existential danger of these events.
Magnetic pole shifts take out species and pound the population of the ones that make it.
With a weaker magnetic field, larger solar flares pose an even greater risk than they already do, which is a substantial risk, and for many more reasons than just the weather.
In a heavily cited compilation of the information, this article of mine was published in PI last year.
It's the climate, the volcanoes and earthquakes, the navigational disarray of species relying on the magnetic field, taking a toll on the biosphere of the planet from the lowest levels of the food chain.
The radiation and geomagnetic changes present physiological stress in creatures and psychological distress in the highly complex human brain.
Not to mention, when the protective field is lost, the sun and solar storms will easily take out our technological age.
These six stresses, including that new one our electrified age has created, are the reason why the biosphere is hit.
The climate is shifting, food chain wobbling, and all while high radiation pounds the species of Earth.
This is no small matter.
This is our way of life and possibly our species as a whole.
It is a cyclical event.
Happens regularly.
It's due to happen again now.
And it's happening now.
And it presents a major risk to the species of this planet.
These three items comprise the pillars of the most important information about the Earth you can share with anyone.

And look, the timeline for what he's saying is coming is sooner than we could ever imagine.
We're talking about a full magnetic pulse shift that's come within the next couple of decades, 2030 to 2040.
So people go, oh, what does this matter?
What does this mean to me?
How does this affect me?
Well, think about it.
There are scientific journal studies and, you know, articles that have been written already that have been talking about the reduction in the protection from the magnetosphere, the radiation that's now permeating through hitting us and having a deleterious effect on our body and our physiology.
Our actual physical bodies are responding toward elevated levels of radiation that is coming from the solar radiation that hits us and bombards us through space on a regular basis.
People don't realize how intrinsically tied and connected we are as a planet to the sun itself and the sun and its solar cycles and the radiation that it emits and how delicate the balance is between what we're protected by with our magnetosphere and what we can actually withstand as a species.

In detail, in a lot of videos he does here, he has an entire series on this stuff, and I've thought about it for quite some time as to if this timeline is real, if he's right, and he's correct about this 12,000-year timeline, and we're already due for the next magnetic pole shift.
We've seen the pole wandering and shifting.
You know, you guys have seen it.
If you've done any research on this whatsoever, the poles are moving, and it's only increasing, and they're becoming more rapid.
And remember...
As the poles move around the earth, when there is a shift, it will be dramatic and it will be fast and it will have devastating consequences and effects and Is that a part of the reason why they're trying to install these authoritarian systems on over us?
Why do you think they want AI intrinsically connected with the social credit score systems and the control grid so they can control us?
Or is it because they're worried about what happens when the majority of the population finds out that Earth is about to go through a cataclysmic shift?
Do they want to be able to shut us down, contain us, control us?
Because that would explain a lot of things.
It would explain...
Why they don't want us traveling from one country to another.
Why they want us controlled and being held within our region.
That's why towns in England are experimenting with, you know, you can only travel 60 days a year outside of your city.
Other than that, you're on lockdown.
And they're doing it now in the 2020s, preparing for the 2030s and the 2030s when not only will it become more obvious and apparent because the polls will continue to shift and will have more effects hitting us on a regular basis that will, you know, effectively impair large portions of our control grid, it'll physically affect us, but that it's also going to be used for this, you know, Obvious control of us all.
It's going to be so apparent we're going to be able to see it clearly.
Now, I only say all this because I'm concerned that that's exactly what's happening here.
So while we're all arguing with each other over, oh, is it the Constitution's being violated?
They're like...
Well, we have the best scientists in the world that tell us in 20 or 30 years the polls are going to shift and it's going to cause huge cataclysmic events across the globe.
And we're just trying to make sure that there's some semblance of authority and control that is left after that occurs.
So we're, you know, basically rolling out the full, uh, you know, system of control and dominance and authority, authoritarianism now, because they, they're worried they won't even be able to do it once people wake up to what's happening.
And that's why, uh, you know, we're getting into like layers, levels beyond where most people are.
It's going to be really hard to explain to a lot of your normie friends out there, but I put it to you because I believe it's, it's, Truly, I believe it's happening.
And what do I think they're going to be doing next?
Well, I think they're rolling out COVID 2.0.
I think they're rolling out the next pandemic as we speak.
And you know what they're doing.
And I should have seen this yesterday, but it actually took me overnight to think about it.

FIFA World Cup, which is happening right now.
If you're not aware, FIFA World Cup is a global soccer tournament where all the countries of the world come together, and they have soccer tournaments against one another, and then guess what?
They go back to their respective countries.
Now, what does that sound exactly like to you guys out there?
For those of you who haven't been paying attention, we've talked with this several times before on the channel, but there was an event that took place that was right after...
Or that was right as the World Health Organization and Johns Hopkins and Bill and Melinda Gates were doing Event 201 called the Wuhan Military Games where militaries from all around the world came together in one central location in, you guessed it, none other than Wuhan, China, right?
Where they all came together and participated in military games, kind of like the Olympics, but for military athletes.
And a good faith competition against one another.
And then they all went home respectively to their home countries where they all were experiencing, or a lot of people from those games were experiencing...
Flu-like symptoms, which then later, three months later, we found out was most likely COVID, which then they told us was gain-of-function virus created in a lab, which was essentially the flu that had been weaponized.
And now, in the same fashion that that happened, we're having something very similar take place right in front of us, and people are just like...
I don't know why people aren't covering this other than to say it's happening almost...
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because it's happening exactly how it happened with the World Military Games taking place.
Then we had a few months of people talking about stuff, viruses and stuff, and we saw those videos out of China where people were collapsing, and then all of a sudden the world shut down.
It's happening almost exactly the same way.
Now what do I mean by that?

What happened?
Well, apparently Grant Wall49 had, according to this article, a death-rattle cough from a stubborn case of bronchitis shortly before he collapsed while covering Argentina's quarterfinal win in the Netherlands.
That's what his brother Eric Wall said.
Now, according to investigative journalist, you may know him, you may like him, you may not like him, named George Webb.
He says all types of different things, and I think he's been covering this for a little while now.
And what he claims in his reporting is that Grant Wall, I believe that his wife is a COVID advisor to Joe Biden.
Yeah, I know.
That's weird, right?
It's weird that this guy has some death-rattle cough at the Qatar World Games and then dies, collapses.
Now, people are saying that this is a part of a new pandemic that is coming.
Because remember, Fauci's told us we never stop the old pandemic, but these people are about to be brought up on trial.
Thankfully, they managed to lose or not be able to steal the House election, and the House has announced investigations into people like Dr.
Fauci, who is still telling us to this day that we're in a pandemic.
Watch this.
Here we are going into the third year of it.
And we are still in the middle of a pandemic with the numbers that you just showed.
So they still are telling us that we're in a pandemic right now, except the difference being that, you know, the pandemic's wearing off and it's wearing thin people's patients have been pushed to their breaking limit and people are not going to be, you know, able to be have the wool pulled over their eyes and be deceived by all of this.
So I know I, Sometimes my brain thinks in so many different directions, it's hard to keep track of because I look at the macro thing and I think of all these different avenues to go down.
That's why sometimes it gets a little tough to follow.
But essentially, if you can follow me on this, they're having a new pandemic because the old one is failing to do what they were doing, which I'm starting to believe, like I've said, is about solidifying and enriching their power.
And control systems and fortifying their control systems, perfecting as best they can their authority and control systems ahead of what they know is coming, a global catastrophe.
Maybe it's the pole reversals.
Maybe not.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe the science is wrong.
Maybe Ben Davidson, Spirits Observers, all of that.
Maybe they don't know what they're talking about.
But if they are right, and I am right about my suspicion here, What are they going to need?
Well, you guessed it.
They're going to need the camel flu, which is just conveniently with the World Cup meeting just came out.
Doctors are warning now, this is from the mirror, that deadly camel flu symptoms are emerging as World Cup fans return from England.
And this is not just one example.
There are many.
The Express, England fans returning from Qatar risk spreading camel flu, 10 times deadlier than COVID. So it's already starting, folks.
Other article, Daily Mail, experts warn of World Cup camel flu, which kills up to a third of everyone it strikes as England fans make their way home from Qatar.
Now does this not sound exactly like the propaganda, the rhetoric, and the fake news articles that were being pushed about COVID when it first came out?
It kills up to a third of people.
It could be a deadly pandemic.
It's coming for you.
I mean, you already have an Australian health ministry warning about it.
Here they're saying FIFA World Cup and Qatar is coming home and there's the risk of bringing home the camel flu, a respiratory infection caused by Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome, a.k.a.
MERS. So now we went from COVID to MERS. Went from SARS, I guess, to MERS, right?
Severe acute respiratory syndrome to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome.
Just another respiratory syndrome.
That's interesting.
So it's MERS. It's called camel flu, but it's really MERS. MERS, if you guys recall, came out a while ago.
I think it was under the Obama administration when MERS was first kind of pushed as the next pandemic, but then it kind of fizzled out and fell on deaf ears and didn't happen.
If there is something coming, this is like COVID 2.0, except now instead of SARS, it's MERS because it's coming from the Middle East and it's based on In Qatar, with FIFA and the World Cup, is the super spreader event that is the catalyst for this pandemic that they are going to blame on who knows what.
It doesn't matter what they blame it on.
They're going to blame it on, you know, in Wuhan, they blame the bats at first.
In Qatar, they're blaming the camels.
I mean, what is the difference, folks?
First we had a bat virus, right?
Remember that.
And then now we have a camel virus.
So do you see how this works?
Do you see how they're just hitting us with another one?
As soon as this one's waned, we have the next pandemic that they promised us would be coming.
Interesting, right?
And then it goes on.

Health experts warning that FIFA fans, World Cup football fans returning were going to spread the camel flu.
Interesting.

And finally, here's the MERS symptoms as they're telling us that you can be aware of.
First off, it says MERS can be acquired from close contact with camels.
Remember when it was bats at the wet market in Wuhan?
But MERS can be acquired from close contact with camels or from consuming camel products, a.k.a.
namely unpasteurized camel milk.
Oh, really?
So camel milk is the culprit.
Isn't that interesting?
So, it's going on here saying other risks include close contact with an infected person.
Many excited fans are reported to have enjoyed camel rides in Qatar while following England's journey in the World Cup.
Five instances of MERS have been reported in the UK to date.
The last known occurrence was in etc.
So, you guys tell me what you think.
I mean, I think it's fairly clear and obvious what we're seeing here.
Now, maybe I'm way off base, but for them to have the bat flu come out of Wuhan after the World Military Games took place there, right?
Now we have FIFA doing Qatar with the World Cup, and now we have the camel flu that's coming out of there.
I don't know what else to say.
I don't know what else to say.
I hope I'm wrong.
I truly do.
I don't know how they're making it so obvious, but remember I showed this video yesterday how they are developing a universal flu vaccine.
Now, you can see here, and I'm just going to talk over this while it's playing, but they're developing universal flu vaccine that they're going to have global launch for.
And they're saying, and they're saying it's going to come within two, one to two, maybe I think they say in this video, but it has every strain of the flu in it.
Now...
If the vaccine is the virus, let's just say, in this mRNA technology-based vaccine system, Then it would stand to reason that they are planning on launching this out now.
And they're going to fast track it with the excuse being the camel flu, which is MERS, which is basically a virus that you would get in the Middle East anyway.
And so...
And then if it all ties back to what I think it ties back to, which is a cataclysmic event that they see coming on the horizon, that they're preparing for, that they're installing their control systems to maintain order through chaos as the catastrophe becomes more clear and apparent and less deniable and less able to be covered up, that is the truth of what we're facing.
So if you want it, you've got the news, tomorrow's news.
You've got, like, the next decade's news here today.
Right?
At least the next few years with the camel flu, because you know how COVID went.
They're just going to try to hit that on us again.
So, maybe I'm wrong.
I pray I'm wrong.

I don't want to be right about any of this stuff.

I hope I have zero proof.
I hope I get disproven and it all just turns out I'm a crazy conspiracy theorist, but I don't think I am.

And, you know, the authority systems are only getting worse, and they're just pushing for more control.
For instance, New Zealand is a great example, as you see stories like this coming out of there.
You know, first they're taking away children from parents who don't want to put vaccinated blood in their children, and now they're banning cigarettes for all those born after 2009.
Now, look, I'm not a fan of cigarettes, okay?
I don't smoke cigarettes.
I think smoking's bad for you.
I think it's a terrible addiction a lot of people face.

That's how they invert everything that we take or everything that we know to be true and good.
It's like that SNL skit I played in yesterday's show where it was talking about the doctor who was mutilating the children.
It was all a big joke that the doctor who said that he had only delivered girls and that all the boys he delivered he had cut off their genitals because They were just girls trapped in boys' bodies.
And that was a joke in the 90s, and now today it's the reality we live in.
So how long before the headline is, imagine choosing homelessness over death?

I just thought that was a good point to draw from what we looked at all there.
How do we get here, though?

What they're going to end up doing is transferring their consciousness into AI-like, you know, a merging of AI and human flesh in the transhumanist movement and that they will become gods, right?
And they will transcend life on Earth to basically travel the galaxy and do these great things in their mind, right?

They're living in this delusional world where they see us, me, you, us, we, the people, those who live beneath them as they see it, as cattle, as just sheep, as to be led to the slaughter, to be nothing more, nothing less than useful cogs in a machine that is created for their benefit.

So what do they do?

We have to destroy Russia, even if it means nuclear war with Russia.

Well, because in 10 or 20 years from now, there's going to be so much cataclysm and chaos in the world that nobody's going to want to fight a war with anybody because we're all just going to be basically trying to survive.
So they're trying to make systems and control the population.
Now, that's another reason why they would want to depopulate the world.
Well, think about it.
If in 10 or 20 or 30 years, there's going to be a cataclysmic event, a global disaster where you have the magnetosphere flipping, us being bombarded by solar radiation, there's chaos in the streets, it's undeniable, you see it every day, satellites being fried out of the air, internet systems spotty at best.
Only the most sophisticated military defense technologies are able to survive certain instances.
Chaos, right?
What would you do?
If you knew that now, would you be wanting to maybe take people out of existence, depopulate the planet, so that they can't all rise up and say, our system is failing, you are not doing anything for us, therefore we blame you for not preparing us, because their solution is this.
It seems.
Now, I could be a crazy conspiracy theorist, but what if their solution is simply, okay, well, let's just get rid of all humans, and then they can't overthrow us, they can't stand up to us, they can't rebel against us when the cataclysmic event takes place, when the disaster comes.
I'm just thinking out loud here, a rational, logical person who's observing what's happening around me, right?

I don't know.
Maybe that explains why we're giving Patriot missiles to Ukraine to shoot into Russia.
And we're all still just like, you know, they're doing all of this clandestinely.
Well, how do they do all this clandestine stuff?
Because it's not just about bribing politicians.
It's about black money, black ops and black dark money that's being pushed around.
Black ops budgets come from selling poppy from, you know, Afghani poppy fields that can be turned into heroin or...
Nicaragua and the Iran-Contra where they're basically selling cocaine into the United States, selling crack to LA to fund CIA operations abroad and domestically.
Whatever it is, now it's selling vaccines, right?
So it went from being these black market drug dealers to now these white market drug dealers where they're like, okay, well, we're just going to flagrantly do these things where we release viruses and extort billions of dollars out of governments, trillions of dollars, really, probably, if you add it all up.
And then we take that money and we use it for our nefarious purposes.
And it's the same principle as, you know, the CIA using the military to secure poppy fields in Afghanistan to create opium, which then can be sold to the lower class Americans and people around the world to get them addicted, to drain them of all their money and resources, and to leave them basically devastated so that then they can take that money and use it for whatever purposes they need.
It's the same racket with these vaccines.
But, anyway, Sam Bankman-Fried, speaking of that, he has been arrested the day before he was supposed to testify before Congress.

I thought that kind of summarized my feelings on him.

So...
That being said, let's end it with our God's Grace is Greater segment, which we do at the end of every episode where we talk about God's grace and how it is truly greater.
Today I have a very special segment where we're going to talk about Jesus' crucifixion, how he was mocked after it, and we're going to connect it to some Old Testament...
Verses that basically prophesied all of this happening hundreds of years before the fact.
So let's go ahead and read.
We're reading out of the book of Mark, chapter 15, verse 16, and we're going to be reading all the way up to verse 32.
Now, of course, we're picking up after Jesus had been sentenced to be crucified by Pilate and after he was tortured by him.
Now, let's pick up where we left off.
It says,
They forced a man coming in from the country who was passing by to carry Jesus' cross.
He was Simon, a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus.
And they brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha, which means skull place.
They tried to give him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.
Then they crucified him and divided his clothes, casting lots for them to decide what each would get.
Now it was nine in the morning when they crucified him.
the inscription of the charge written against him was the king of the Jews.
They crucified two criminals with him, one on his right and one on his left.
So the scripture was fulfilled that it says, and he was counted among outlaws.
Those who passed by were yelling insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, ha, the one who would demolish the sanctuary and build it in three days, save yourself by coming down from the cross and, In the same way the chief priests with the scribes were mocking him to one another and saying, He saved others, he cannot save himself.
Let the Messiah, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross so that we may see and believe.
Even those who were crucified with him were taunting him.
Now can you imagine our Lord and Savior in this position?
He's been placed.
He's been beaten.
He's been tortured.
He's been mocked.
He's been chastised.
The soldiers, at first, they mock him.
They put a crown of thorns on his head.
They pay homage to him by bowing to him and mocking him as being the king of the Jews.
They essentially do all they can to humiliate him and to embarrass or to chastise him as best they can.
Then they let him go to be crucified and as he's on his way a man named Simon is called out of the crowd to help Jesus carry a cross that he couldn't carry himself because he had been so badly tortured to that point that his physical body was unable to carry the cross to his place of crucifixion.
Simon carries the cross and it's interesting that he's mentioned here but he is ultimately Mocked even further, when the soldiers cast lots, betting on who would get Jesus' belongings, his clothes, and at that time they wrote against him the inscription as his crime was, in mocking him again, the king of the Jews.
So they crucified him in between two criminals, one on his left and one on his right.
And all the while they all mocked him.
Every one of them were there to mock him.
The criminals he was being crucified with mocked him, as well as the scribes and the chief priests who were walking by and the people who were just there watching were mocking Jesus, telling him, if you could demolish the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days, why don't you just take yourself off the cross and save yourself?
But Jesus knew that that wasn't a part of his plan, of God's plan.
And he was letting God's will be done, which was that he would sacrifice himself for our sins.
Now, in order to understand this better, you have to go back.
Now, you can go back in a few different ways, but there is an interesting portion here.
If you go back to Isaiah 53, there is a whole section of...
It's basically scripture that talks about Jesus' and predicts 700 years before Jesus came, what would happen to him.
And this is what it reads.
It says, We're
He says,
He was taken away because of oppression and judgment and who considered his fate?
For he was cut off from the land of the living.
He was struck because of my people's rebellion.
They made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man at his death, although he had done no violence and had not spoken deceitfully.
Yet the Lord was pleased to crush him severely.
When you make him a restitution offering, he will see his seed.
He will prolong his days, and by his hand, the Lord's pleasure will be accomplished.
And he will see it out of his anguish, and he will be satisfied with his knowledge.
My righteous servant will justify many, and he will carry their iniquities.
Therefore, I will give him the many as a portion, and he will receive the mighty as spoil.
Because he submitted himself to death and was counted among the rebels.
Yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.
I love that verse because it is essentially telling us 700 years or so before Jesus even existed of what he would do and how he would come to live and die for us and what it would mean.
There's a lot of eschatologists and Bible scholars who will break down each one of those verses, but I'll leave you with this.
If we go to the Psalms, we have another prediction here.
And it predicts what we saw and many other things, Psalm 22, about suffering from suffering to praise.
This is a Davidic psalm.
And it predicts Jesus' persecution and other things as well about Jesus.
But here is the verse that matters.
Everyone who sees me mocks me.
They sneer and shake their heads.
He relies on the Lord.
Let him rescue him.
Let the Lord deliver him since he takes pleasure in him.
You see, that's what we're going to face in this world.
People will mock us for our faith.
They'll mock us for the love of God that we show every day.
They'll mock us for our belief in what's true and good.
They'll mock us for our faith in the Messiah, Jesus.
They'll mock us and say, why doesn't the Lord just save you?
Why doesn't the world just smite all those evil people that you tell us exist, the ones worshiping the devil openly?
Why doesn't he just save you from all of that?
Well, my answer is simple.
If you want to know what answer I give them and maybe one that will help you, I tell those people, the Lord has already saved me.
The Lord has delivered me.
I've been saved by the grace of God.
And you can be too.
If you can turn your life over to God, God's grace can do great things for you.
The sacrifice made on the cross that we're learning about here in this scripture was for all.
It wasn't for some.
And it's attainable for all, even the most wicked among us, if they turn their lives around and go to God.
But I tell them, when they say, why doesn't the Lord just cure everything and make everything good?
I say, well, He already did.
And that's the way I live my life, is knowing that God has already saved me.
And He can save you too.
And if you've turned your life over to Christ, He already has saved you.
So don't worry about the evil that exists in this fallen world.
Take a lesson from our Lord and Savior, among other lessons that we can learn.
But one important one is to build our treasure in heaven and not focus on building treasure and wealth here on earth, power and glory and fame that will come and go in this temporal existence in which we live.
What are we focusing on?
What are we not focusing on when we do that?
We're not focusing on God's glory.
And building treasure in heaven with him for his kingdom.
So remember that.
Take that.
Share that with your family and friends.
And we'll go ahead and say a prayer and then we'll wrap it up.
Lord and Heavenly Father, thank you for this day.
Thank you for all your many great blessings.
Lord, we pray and thanks for this scripture that reminds us of the sacrifice made, the suffering felt.
Lord, help us not only trust in our hearts that you are with us and you've already saved us with your Son on the cross for our sins so we can have eternal salvation, but Lord, Help us share that with others.
Help us show others through our faith and our example that comes from your strength and your glory and your grace that they can be saved too.
That they can live with the comfort and the Glory and grace of God always in their heart to overcome all affliction that exists in this world, all the things we face and we're persecuted by, all of the ways we're taunted and teased and told that you don't love us and that you don't exist and that you are not here for us.
We know we've transcended that all with you, and we can continue to do so with your Son in our heart.
So help us continue to be strong for you, Lord.
Give us discernment and wisdom and strength and courage and all the things we need, Lord, to honor you.
Most of all, we thank you for our eternal salvation, bought and paid for by the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
