We're also going to get into some other news stories, including just more evidence of the criminal treason of the Biden administration, whether it's bribing children and adults, supposedly, in this country by saying they're going to pay off their student loans,
all the way up to bribing Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, by offering to basically remove him from any liability for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and a bunch of other stories across the board.
There's other things happening around the world that the fake news is never going to tell you about.
And even if they do tell you about it, mark my words, they are lying to you.
They're misleading you.
They're either lying by omission or they're just completely gaslighting you and not giving you the full story and truth.
So we're going to get into all the stories.

And the first story we're getting into is right here.
Biden's COVID czar saying we're probably going to need to update our vaccine again next year and if Americans get vaccinated again next year.
Really?
This is going to be the official line.
It never ends.
COVID will never end.
Why do they want to keep injecting us with things like these experimental mRNA vaccines?
One has to wonder.
Let's watch this clip.
That America's physicians, like the real leaders of American medicine, the people you trust for your cancer care and your heart care and your pediatrics care, are out there telling you you need to go get a vaccine.
You can decide to trust America's physicians or you can trust some random dude on Twitter.
Like, those are your choices.
But I think the key here is to get trusted voices out there spreading truth, spreading science-based information.
And for journalists and for people who run platforms, what I would say is you should be thinking about what your personal responsibility is.
And do you want to be a source of misinformation and disinformation?
That's up to those individuals, but I really think it's really important for us, for me, to be spreading good information.
So I think what they're referencing here is this new documentary that just came out from Stu Peters called Died Suddenly and it's going into the efficacy of the vaccines that boost in this mortality rate that's come since the vaccines were rolled out.
The association with the vaccines and people dying Suddenly, there's a lot of scary stuff to unpack in it all, but the truth is, no matter how scary and disturbing it is, that's why the White House is having Dr.
Fauci come out and this guy come out for their big COVID cheerleader pep rally to get you to get boosted up so that they can get the experimental vaccines in your body.
But what do they tell you here?
I mean, you know it's a direct reference to Stu Peters in the documentary.
They're saying, you can trust us, the doctors, the official doctors, Or you could trust some guy on Twitter when, like, most of the documentary has a bunch of real doctors who have been on the front lines, who have been reporting or have been interacting with this virus since its inception, since the beginning, and they're the ones who are advocating against the vaccine.
They're the ones advocating against, you know, following these CDC protocols, which are completely outdated.
Out of line with the science and the reality of the science that they're actually looking at and observing themselves.
So you be the judge for yourself.
I'm not going to tell you what to do.
I do not give medical advice, but just remember what, you know, Fauci says it right here.
Well, actually, first, let's watch the clip where they tell you that you're going to have to get your vaccine endlessly.

But all the science and all the evidence we have suggests that we're probably going to need to update our vaccine again next year and have Americans get vaccinated again next year.
Right now our focus is let's get Americans protected this fall and winter with the updated COVID vaccines we have.
I wonder if there's like a special place in hell for these people who are trying to kill off people, you know...
In this way, with this psychotically, you know, homicidal, you know, move with these vaccines.

But here he is telling us we need to talk about around the Thanksgiving dinner table.

According to him, this probably is his last appearance at the White House.

But the real danger is in the people who have not been vaccinated.
Yeah, the real dangers in those who haven't been vaccinated because they think for themselves and they're not easily swayed by this propaganda machine that's been used to manipulate most of the country to take experimental vaccinations against their better judgment.

And if you look at, like, Dr.
Fauci going back, it's interesting to pull up things like this.

But you can see here, if you guys recall January 9, 2017, recommended policy guidance for potential pandemic pathogen care and oversight, where it says enhance a pathogen's virulence and or transmissibility to produce a potential pandemic pathogen.
Well, what is this talking about?
This is talking about them and working on their gain of function.
And again, here is Dr.
Fauci in January of 2017, not too long after this release was put out by the White House.
You have him saying that he had no doubt Trump will face a surprise infectious disease outbreak.
It's almost like they had planned this, right?
Almost like it's all planned as a part of a plan-demic, if you will.

But interestingly enough, you know, this fireworks hit the White House press conference day is Corrine Jean-Pierre, the least impressive person outside of Joe Biden in the White House.
Probably the lowest IQ next to Joe up on the stage telling yelling at the press pool, treating them like little children in a classroom, scolding them for asking questions that she doesn't want to answer, especially questions regarding the origin of the covid virus, which she especially questions regarding the origin of the covid virus, which she is like a You know, liberal leftist, you know, censor protecting the public from having access to people answering true questions that matter to them.

Chaos erupts saying I'm done with you in the White House press room as Fauci gives his final covid briefing.
Now, Fauci said that he would absolutely cooperate with any oversight hearings on Capitol Hill when they asked him about that, saying he has nothing to hide.
But then here is the exchange that everybody kind of was like, whoa, watch this.
Kareem Jean-Pierre scolding reporters for asking about the origin of the COVID virus.
I will not call on you if you yell, and also you're taking time off the clock, because Dr.
Fauci has to leave in a couple of minutes.

And I'm just going to play a few minutes that talk about the depopulation agenda and kind of documenting a little bit of its roots and what it actually is.
So I'm going to play this clip and then let you guys kind of discuss what it means.

We're constantly talking about Malthusian theory.
Malthusian theory, I know.
I'm sure you are.
It says it on one of the coffee cups I was given.
You know, when I graduated, when I was at junior college, Chabot Junior College, we finished a history course, and the professor wrote up, you need to learn this word.
He wrote up the word triage, which represented, I was told, the concept that eventually the world will have too many people in it.
In order to subsist on its own.
And that stuck with me for a long time, and that's what Inferno is about.
The quantum physics of overpopulation, in an instant, there could be too many people on the planet Earth, and actually the math does add up.
Just give us a 20-second definition of Malthusian theory, which is amazing.

Reverend Thomas Robert Malthus was a British demographer of the late 1700s, and was the first to popularize the idea that there's simply too many people using up too much resources.
How many cars, stereos, fancy bars?
How many people could the world support?
Well, it depends.
It's a sliding scale.
Malthusian ideology is often summarized in the following graph.
Very simple graphs which project what's going to happen to the planet over the next 150 years if we don't do something drastic to stop it.
It's an ideology, an eschatology.
Here we can see a chart that looks at the total world population over the last several hundred years.
And at first glance, this is a bit scary.
And it spawned a new genre of fear that lasted for generations.
The fear Of overpopulation.
You have to get the death rate and birth rate in balance, and there's only two ways to do it.
One is to bring the birth rate down, the other is to push the death rate up.
If we do not, by humane means, limit our numbers, then numbers are going to be limited by more famines and shortages.
It's reaching paid proportion.
No intelligent, patriotic American family ought to have more than two children, preferably one.
Maybe anybody who's thinking of having a third child ought to go hungry a week.
So should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?
So I do think that we should at least consider it.
This is where people start getting nervous talking about overpopulation and population issues because they're scared that I'm going to take away their rights to have children.
It's the belief in a coming apocalypse and that it is you and I who are ushering it in.
We're even running out of sand, which may not seem important, but without it you can't make concrete or glass, like for windows, so you can look outside and see the world ending.
Now, the world today has 6.8 billion people.
That's headed up to about 9 billion.
Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.
Well, common sense would tell you if you have a man standing in front of you, say, and he's going to reduce the world's population by 10 or 15 percent using vaccines, what does that mean to you?
It means somebody's going to die because you put a vaccine in them.
It doesn't mean you're going to save people.
That's pretty much common sense in my brain.
But yet I saw him say it.
He said it.
And here we are.
I don't know.
I'm just, here we are.
I'm now an anti-vaxxer.
I wasn't before.
From what I've learned here with this and seeing what I've seen, not just in the funeral home, but, you know, what everybody else has had an opportunity to see, I don't want to take any vaccine because I don't trust the pharmaceutical industry.
I mean, I just buried someone recently who died suddenly.
Wasn't a sick person in their 60s, but otherwise was not sick.
And I met with the family and that was my first question was, what happened to him?
Somebody mentioned to go on to Google and then type in died suddenly and find the news articles that would pop up.
And lo and behold, here's a whole listing of people, of articles, of people within that last week who died suddenly.
Younger people, older people, but a lot of younger people throughout, around the world.
Famous people, athletes, have just dropped dead.
Without explanation.
And it's like it's no big deal.
It's like we just don't know.
It happens.
But no, it's not happened.
It's never happened like this until now.

It's very interesting to note that there is a lot of information in there that's worth looking at in more detail and looking at with more scrutiny.
I think the whole thing is disgusting when you think about it, what they're trying to do to us as a population.
But you've got to remember, these people look at us as cattle.
We're cattle.
We're merely just expendable.
If we're not one of these elite bloodlines from the 13 or whatever royal bloodline, the Merovingian, blah, blah, blah, old bloodlines that are the aristocracies and the old royal family, the royal heritages that have come from Europe and other global societies, globalist-backed societies, then you don't matter.
We don't matter.
Our lives don't matter.
We're just, we can be, you know, bought and sold and basically shut down and killed like that.
Here's an interesting clip from a doctor who is explaining Dr. Shukharit Bakhti in April 2021, saying that they thought the vaccines were what are responsible for many people's deaths.

I mean, there's statistics as it's showing, you know, the care homes.

Now, we're not saying, we can't say that these deaths are due to the vaccine because those poor people, 80 and above, are never looked at.
There are never any autopsies.
You know, they say, no, it has nothing to do with it, they just collapsed and died, but their time was up.

He collected all the data of care homes in Germany and he has just published this.
It's just horrifying.
The wave of vaccination is virtually always followed by a wave of death, wherever you look.
And this is the same in England, by the way.
When we see this, My thought is, oh my God, are the German politicians killing their own citizens?
And the British are thinking the same.
Because if you don't start thinking about this, you'll never follow it up.
And it is our damn duty to find out whether our poor elderly citizens are dying because of the vaccination.
And you don't go around getting rid of their bodies and cremating them.
You know, this is what's happening here.
So there's no evidence.
There will be no evidence.
All you have to do is, you know, do an autopsy, a post-mortem, and look in the brain, in the lung, to see whether you see any clots.
And if you see the clots, there you are.
Period.
It's that simple.
So this cremation is almost as a way to get rid of evidence?
If the evidence were there, it's not there anymore if you were cremated, obviously.
I don't have any more to say than that.
I think they're killing people here.

I mean, look, and that's like back in April of 2021 when they were seeing these massive deaths coming out of the nursing homes with the elderly and everything else.
And they were trying to see if it's connected to these vaccines.
So it's good to look back and remember these things and ask yourself, what are they doing?
Why are they doing this?
Well, there's a lot of reasons for it, but mostly it's because these people have the God complex, and they think that the world, you know, they want to preserve the world the way they want it to be, and they don't want us to have freedom and liberty and enjoy the world as they are allowed to because of their exorbitant wealth and power. and they don't want us to have freedom and liberty
They want us to be subservient slaves, so the more we stand up and fight back against them, the more we do things like elect populist leaders, whether it's Trump in America, Bolsonaro in Brazil, or anyone, Victor Orban, whoever you want to go.
Go across the board.
Find a leader in a country that's more of a nationalist leader that's not backing down to these globalist regimes.
And you can see quickly that there is a reason for them to want to get rid of us because we're a threat.
And I guess if that's the way we're going to live and be, then that's the way we're going to live and be.
But this person summarized it perfectly.
I found this post over on 4chan, and it kind of talks about where we are today.
And look, You can say what you want about this, but I'm very, very certain that this has more truth in it than most things you'll ever hear on the internet.
And most people will be too afraid to share this truth.
But listen to this, theorizing on why we are in such a desperate place right now and how things have gotten so bad.
And it's because of this phenomena, which I will let this 4chan person explain in detail.

This is why you see a society obsessed with chemically castrating 12-year-old boys and encouraging 14-year-old girls to get double mastectomies.
Because they've been indoctrinated into this groupthink and they can't get themselves out of it.
There is a destructive element to these societal conditioning programs that we are just getting started with.

But Speaking of constitutional republic and democracy, if you guys didn't catch this video in the beginning of the video, I want to play this clip where it describes, it's a quick clip of an older, it's an older clip from probably the 60s or so, 50s maybe, of somebody describing the difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic and why that matters.
And tell me this doesn't sound like where we are today.

The ideal of a democracy is universal equality.
The ideal of a constitutional republic is individual liberty.

America was founded as a constitutional republic to safeguard the liberties of the people against the tyranny of democracy or of one-man dictatorship.
In this century, great strides have been made toward the goal of subverting our republic into a democracy.
The foremost tactic of the subverters is subversion of language.
By calling America a democracy until people thoughtlessly accept and use the term, the totalitarians have obscured the real meaning of our principles of government.

It's foreboding to mention anything regarding certain groups of people who have exorbitant amount of power and certain...
Places like pop culture in Hollywood and other places in media and other places.
You're not allowed to talk about it because if you do talk about it, this is what's going to happen to you.

There are certain speech that if you speak in this society, there are certain forces that will go full force against you and then try to strip you, dehuman you, to deperson you, deplatform you, strip your ability to have freedom digitally and in the real world.
For instance, yours truly speaking, I don't know, truth to power for so many years now, what has it resulted in?
It's resulted in two things, me coming closer to God and sharing God's grace with as many people as I can, which I'm thankful for and I wouldn't change a thing from.
But then on the other end, yeah, it was deplatformed.
I was put in a digital gulag.
I was made a second-class citizen.
I've had a lot of my free speech rights restricted and taken away as far as my ability to earn a living and do other things freely in society because there is a group of people who are very evil who don't want us speaking the truth about them, and that's just the simplest way to put it.

So even though there's many, many studies across the board, across the world, even some peer-reviewed, I think even some double peer-reviewed studies, That suggests the effect of masking is negligible and it's not even a reasonable thing to do against this COVID virus, which is essentially the weaponized flu.

At what point are we going to start standing up to these people?
I've tried to do my part across the board and make it widely known how I feel about it.
I tell people openly to their face, brazenly.
I say, why are you wearing that mask?
There's all types of health benefits to not wearing your mask as opposed to wearing it where you have all these detriments to your health.
It's insane.
The microplastics, everything from the microplastics to the breathing in your own carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, I should say, and your own germs from your spit and saliva, bacteria, all of that stuff.
But no, they want to mask you.

Because it's a form of subserviences.
It's a form of submission to tyranny.
It's a form of submitting to the slave caste system that they've put in medically.
They've snuck it in through the medical sector into our country where now we have a caste system where if you don't...

Hierarchy of victim status, right?
Meaning if you're a transgender, biracial, blah, blah, blah, then you're a better person.
You have a higher standing in the hierarchy than a cis white man, right?
Then you're at the bottom of the totem pole and you should be basically treated like dirt and have your life basically spit on by these other people who have We're good to go.
A level of being and they have to stay their social class and they are stuck there for the rest of their life.
So if you're born into a poor family, you stay poor for the rest of your life.
You have no upward mobility.
And that's how the caste system works.
So now we have a medical caste system that they're implementing here where it's, you know, basically you either comply and you gain a higher status in the caste system or you don't comply.
You're non-compliant and you get cast down into the lower caste.
So that's what we're facing right now.
So they're bringing back masks.
And of course, remember 2024 election, you can't get rid of COVID yet because they still need mail-in ballots because that's how they steal elections.
How do you, how are you going to steal elections if you don't have, you know, they've solidified it in places like California here where they've basically written into the law that you have to have mail-in ballots.
So the voter fraud is never going to end in California and in some other states.
But for the most part, the mail-in ballots, as soon as they go away, the Democrats stop winning because it's all a big scam to consolidate power.

Speaking of criminally corrupt, fraudulent regime, Biden and his lies and his deception, this is a fascinating story.
Student loan forgiveness approval letters are now going out.
Even though the courts have struck it down saying it's unconstitutional and that Biden can't do it, they're sending out letters just telling people, hey, by the way, even though we can't cancel your student loan debt yet, We'll
give it to you.
Is this not just another way he's extorting votes?
It's paying for votes.
As he comes out after the courts have ruled against him and says that he's extending student loan payment pauses, debt relief plan, aims or remains on hold.
So they can't give out the student loan debt relief because it's unconstitutional and the courts are ruling against it.
But they're sending out letters to people who are going to vote in the upcoming election saying, if you vote for me again, guess what?
We're going to keep fighting to cancel that debt that you took on, but that we want a thrust on the American taxpayer who had nothing to do with your choice to take on that debt to get that useless degree that can't pay off the debt that you accumulated to get it.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and say that it's right what the universities are doing and the Ponzi schemes that most of those universities have become and how they sell these useless pieces of paper for exorbitant amounts of money and leave these kids in crippling debt for the rest of their lives. I'm not going to sit here and say that it's I'm not saying that that's right, but I'm also not saying that...
We should all just foot the bill for these kids who are suckers getting cheated by the system.

University of Florida College of Medicine pushes destructive woke agenda on students, as the report has come out to say.
The report comes days that a federal court struck down Florida law that counters woke curricula.
So now they're teaching these equity initiatives at the College of Medicine to create anti-racists, which these are all products of, of course, the core tenets of critical race theory that they're indoctrinating students at the University of Florida College of Medicine with.
Now imagine this.
I want to paint you a picture of why this matters.
Why does this matter?
Well, who cares?
We're treating you anti-racist.
Okay, great.
Imagine this.
Imagine you're a white man, white woman, and you are going to the emergency room.
Maybe some of you have been to the emergency room, maybe you haven't.
But you know when you go to the emergency room, it's most likely because you're in dire need of help.
And in an emergency room, what do they do?
They triage the patients.
Well, the triage of patients means they decide which patient has the most dire medical condition at the moment.
And then they see that person first.
So if you go in there for a headache, you may not get seen before a person who goes in there with a broken arm.
And the person with the broken arm may not be seen before the person who comes in with a gunshot wound to the chest.
They're triaging.
They're deciding who gets to get care first because that is the standard that we've created in this country for healthcare where if you are in more imminent threat of death, then you are seen first and that is how they decide.
How long until these future doctors are in the ER and they have a set of patients come in and instead of triaging them based on, I don't know, the severity of their injury or illness, they triage them based on, I don't know, let's say the color of the skin.
Saying, well, you're white so you're going to have to wait over there in that part of the waiting room while we see all the black people first.
Or what if it's based on your sex?
Saying, well, we have an intersex woman who's come in with a broken arm, and I'm sorry, but the white man with the gunshot to the chest is going to have to wait while we take care of the transgendered woman of color first.
What if they do it by some other moniker that is supposed to create equity, right?
Because we've learned, if there's one thing we've learned from these social justice warriors and their critical race theory, it's that white people are to be discriminated against to somehow undo the injustices of the past by giving an unfair advantage to others it's that white people are to be discriminated against to somehow undo the injustices of the past by giving an unfair advantage to others So if that's a system that you want to live in, then you should be all for critical race theory.

So, finally, I touched briefly on this story yesterday about groomers and pedos working at Balenciaga and what they did and what they've done.
Tucker Carlson goes off on them in a very epic rant.
I'll play it real quick.
It's crossing the line, and it has always been a bright line, into deep involvement with the sexuality of children.
That has always been and must in a civilized society always be the most forbidden thing.
It's considered unacceptable even among prison inmates.
But now it seems to be growing in its prevalence.
Consider the latest ad for the clothing brand Balenciaga.
This was just uploaded on Instagram.
As you can see, the photo shoot they're using to sell their products features a young girl holding a teddy bear in a bondage outfit.
Then, in case you missed the point, the photo shoot also contains this image.
It shows several documents.
Most of them aren't visible, but what you can see when you zoom in, and of course the point is that you see it, is a reference to a U.S. Supreme Court case called Ashcroft v.
Free Speech Coalition.
That case struck down a law against kiddie porn.
What is this?
Well, it is what it appears to be.
It's an endorsement of kiddie porn, of child pornography.
What else could it be?
We wanted to know.
So we reached out today to Balenciaga to get their explanation and they didn't respond.
So we're going to have to take that on face value and ask, where's the moral outrage?
We have an entire industry in this country comprised of moral outrage merchants.
If you've ever been on Twitter, you know what we mean.
Truly, an entire sector of our economy is devoted to attacking people for falling short of the mark.
And here is a high-end retailer promoting kiddie porn in an ad on Instagram, and nobody notices.
There's no boycott.
There's no front-page New York Times editorial against it.
And of course, Instagram let the advertisement run, endorsing kiddie porn.
And by the way, if you have an alternate explanation for what this was, let us know.

Are we jumping conclusions?
Don't think so.
It is what it appears to be.
It's right in your face and no one's saying anything.
Again, Instagram had no problem with this.
Until Elon Musk took over Twitter, Twitter allowed hashtags that explicitly linked to child pornography.
Nobody said anything because crimes against children are no big deal.
It's thought crimes that are the real crimes.
So if you said something about it, if you were libs of TikTok and said, wait a second, this seems to be abetting child molestation.
Yeah, then you'd be canceled.
So, I mean, yeah, I just played that little clip from Tucker because I thought it was worth looking at.
That's the fallen world we live in, ladies and gentlemen.
And the reason that I do this show primarily is not just to get the truth out, which is important, but more importantly to talk about the truth, and that is the God's grace is greater and the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
For that, we're going through the four main gospels, going through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
We went through Matthew already.
We're in the book of Mark.
We're in the book of Mark.
We're in chapter 10, and we're covering a few more verses today, verse 32 through 45.
And this talks about, or excuse me, 32 through 45, Jesus is telling his disciples about what they're going to face and what they're going to go through in suffering and what service is going to look like for them.
And he predicts his own death for a third time.
As you can see here, we're going to read through this verse in just a second.
But we're going to talk about what these verses mean.
This is picking up where we left off yesterday where Jesus talked about possessions of the kingdom, where he told us that it was easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than it would be for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Because what he was saying is without God, if you do it all by yourself, it's impossible.
But with God, all things are possible.
And that's where we left off yesterday.
And today we're picking up on Jesus predicting his death again for his disciples, but then some infighting in his disciples' ranks shows you that they are still missing the point that Jesus clarifies through his teaching.
Let's go ahead and read these words right here.
They were on the road going up to Jerusalem and Jesus was walking ahead of them.
They were astonished, but those who followed him were afraid, taking the twelve aside again.
He began to tell them the things that would happen to him.
Listen, we are going up to Jerusalem.
The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death.
Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles, and they will mock him, spit on him, flog him, and kill him, and he will rise after three days.
So, you can imagine the disciples just hear this.
What's their reaction?
Well, watch this.
This is the first thing they say to Jesus after he tells them for the third time he's about to be sacrificed to these people who are going to take him and kill him.
but that he will be raised from the dead.
It says, Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, approached him and said, Teacher, we want you to do something for us if we ask you.
What do you want me to do for you?
He asked them.
They answered him, Allow us to sit at your right and at your left hand in glory.
But Jesus said to them, You don't know what you're asking.
Are you able to drink the cup I drank or to be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?
We are able, they told him.
Jesus said to them, You will drink the cup I drank and you will be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with.
But to sit at my right or left is not mine to give.
Instead, it is for those it has been prepared for.
When the other ten disciples heard this, they began to be indignant with James and John.
Jesus called them, Excuse me, that just jumped.
It says, So
he's teaching them a lesson that they need to learn here.
Now let's just unpack this real quick.
We're starting up at the beginning.
Jesus predicting his death again.
He tells them they're going to go to Jerusalem.
That the Son of Man is going to be handed over to the chief priests.
They're going to condemn him to death.
They're going to spit on him, mock him, kill him.
But he gives them hope.
He keeps giving them the hope and telling them what's going to happen.
He will rise after three days.
Now, the disciples don't understand this because still I think they believe Jesus is going to come and riding on a horse with a suit of armor and a sword.
He's going to slay the Roman occupiers and he's going to free the Jews and the Israels, the Hebrews, I should say.
And he's going to make this kingdom of heaven here on earth.
And they don't see that Jesus' kingdom is in heaven and that he will give us life everlasting and forgive us our sins, which is more than anything that anyone else could do in this world at all.
And But to respond to this in the way that John and James did is very interesting.
They say, Teacher, they want something from him.
Now, I believe in Matthew, the way the story is told is a little different, where it may have been the mother of James and John who asked Jesus for this honor, to have James and John seated at his left and his right.
But in Mark, it says that James and John asked this.
So we'll see.
I'm not sure exactly which one is the more accurate telling of this, but...
Maybe it was both, and maybe it was a different way of looking at it.
Again, I'm not an eschatologist or Bible scholar, so if you have different input, please leave it in the comments.
I'd love to hear what you think and what you believe.
But for me, I see it as this.
They ask him to do this huge favor, to sit at the right and the left, and Jesus tells them a couple things.
First, he says, Are you able to drink the cup that I'm about to drink or be baptized, the baptism I'm about to be baptized with?
And they say they're able.
And in a way that they are right, they will.
Because Jesus is talking about the martyrdom that he is about to face in giving his life for all.
He's essentially telling them, are you sure you want to take on this, what I'm about to take on?
And they're affirming they do.
Now, of course, he's telling them that they won't be able to die for everyone's sins like he is, and then he goes on to tell them that they can't be seated at his right or left because it's not his to give.
It's for the Father in Heaven to decide who has already been decided as to who will sit at the right and the left of Jesus.
So, he is essentially telling them, are you sure you want this?
But it's interesting to note that he also tells them That they will drink from the cup that he drinks.
That they will be baptized in the baptism that he is going to be baptized with.
Why is that interesting?
Well, it's interesting because James and John both ended up dying for Jesus, and two in different ways.
James, I believe, was martyred.
He was one of the first disciples to be martyred, and that is in Acts, I believe, 12, verse 2, if you want to go look that up.
But James was the first, and John was exiled to the, what was it, Patmos?
Yeah, the island of Patmos, he was exiled to, and he also died for Jesus.
So they both ended up being martyrs for the faith, and Jesus told them that they would be, but not when Jesus was.
So it goes on to say that Jesus said to them that, you know, those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and their men of high positions exercise power over them.
Now, again, this is him trying to get through to the disciples that it's not going to be this kingdom that they are expecting.
It's not going to be Jesus on a horse with armor and a sword slaying the prefects of Rome and pushing the Roman soldiers out by force with an army.
He was trying to explain to them that...
Even though that's how they rule, the Gentiles rule with domination and force, right?
And they have high positions and they use power to overpower others.
He's saying that it's got to be different amongst us, right?
He's saying, especially speaking to his servants, his disciples, but us as his servants in our lives, he's saying it's got to be different.
That if we want to become great, we must become a servant.
That if we want to be first, we have to be a slave to all.
If we want to be like Jesus as we are taught to, we have to take Jesus' example and live as best we can a life that represents life in worship of Jesus and in servitude toward Him.
Because He's telling us, and He's told us many times, the first will be last and the last will be first.
We have to make ourselves servants to God first above all else.
And that means humbling ourselves.
That means admitting that we aren't the all-powerful, all-knowing.
That means not seeking power in all of its forms.
That means seeking power through a more divine form, the most divine form, through Jesus.
That's the power we seek.
We seek the power through the cross from the sacrifice made for our eternal salvation.
That's going to give us more power than anything in this world.
Now people can convince you, yes, if you have a yacht and a mansion and you're the CEO of a big tech corporation or you're the president of the country or you're the ruler of the world, that that's going to make something.
But there is really only one king.
And we know who he is.
He is the king of all kings.
And he came to die for us.
He came to sacrifice himself, to give himself freely, so that we could have a gift that is immeasurable, that is beyond what's of this world.
Because we know everything that's of this world is temporary, but everything that's not of this world, that is eternal.
And that's what we most focus ourselves on.
So if you're out there wondering, how does this apply to you in your life?
Well, it's simple.
Give your life to Jesus.
Trust in His will.
Trust in God's will for you.
And follow it as best you can.
But humble yourself.
And don't expect to be the most powerful amongst you in your life.
Society or your family or whatever.
If you are, it's only because God's blessed you to be there.
Humble yourself.
Take what God gives you and have the humility to understand that everything you have must be given so that you can use it in service of God.
And that's my message to all of you out there.
Again, a programming reminder before we wrap it up with our prayer.
Well, actually, let's say our prayer and then I'll wrap it up.
Lord and Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this day and this incredible set of verses that teach us more clearly as we go on how to humble ourselves before you, Lord.
Help us remember and remind ourselves of the amazing sacrifice made for our eternal salvation and how your kingdom, Lord, that exists in heaven is where we want to store our treasure.
That no amount of treasure on this earth is ever going to amount to the treasure and the priceless gift that has been given already through the sacrifice of your Son, our Lord Jesus.
Help us remind ourselves that every day and help others to find that in their hearts so that we can help fix this broken world as best we can until we finally find you in heaven, Lord, as we thank you most of all for our eternal salvation in Jesus' name.
Amen.
