And I want to make clear that I know that there are protests still happening in major cities across the United States.
I'm just not seeing the reporting on it that I had for the first few weeks.
That's right.
But they're not going to stop.
They're not going to stop.
This is a movement, I'm telling you.
They're not gonna stop.
And everyone beware, because they're not gonna stop.
They're not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they're not gonna stop after Election Day.
You've said things like, we are unapologetic about the reality that fighting fascism at points requires physical militancy.
What does that mean?
That means that when fascists come to our city to attack people, we are going to put our bodies between fascists and the people they want to attack.
And try to prevent them from doing that.
When you say put our bodies, that sounds like a passive statement, but sometimes you are not just putting your bodies, but you are acting with your bodies.
You're also hitting and you're throwing things and you're reacting violently.
The very presence of Organizations and people who you would call fascist or fascist-leaning, that very presence is violent, and so your violent reaction would be self-defense.
Although ideologically that's what you believe in reality and in the legal system, that would count as assault.
Does that concern you at all?
One of our points of unity is that we don't depend on the cops or the courts to do the work of opposing white supremacy.
So you're saying that when far-right groups come here and throw demonstrations and have their rallies, they don't necessarily have to throw the first punch in order for you to react violently.
The purpose of these groups in coming to Portland is to attack people.
So you wouldn't remove your masks and say the things that you just said?

I mean, it's called not only for extensive chaos within the cities.

But for putting to the torch every village, every forest, every field, and every barn.
Riverside fire has scorched more than 40,000 acres near the city of Estacada.
Mandatory evacuations are underway, with residents being told to leave immediately.
Now, in the town of Medford, the Almeida fire destroyed homes and melted cars overnight.
Fire officials say this wildfire season is unlike anything that state has seen in recent memory.
In Oregon, a state of emergency declared as 36 wildfires burn across the state.

The plan is for raging fires from one city to the next.
The reason?
Well, first, there's the value of sheer destruction.
Secondly, it would force us to deploy our defenses and rescue units over the widest possible area.
The Communists point out that as long as our police and National Guard remain concentrated, they're invincible.
But if they can be forced to spread out over the entire city and into the countryside as well, then they can be picked off from ambush one by one.
Certainly not a sight you see here in America.

Also tonight, we should let you know that 200 members of the Washington National Guard have been called up to come into Seattle.
75 have been deployed to Seattle tonight.
The other 125 will arrive in the city tomorrow.

And the third value of massive fire to the communists is psychological.
The average American may say, soft and decadent, when he sees billows of black smoke rising from one horizon to the other, when at night the only light he has to see by is the flickering red from flames leaping into the sky, he'll become paralyzed with fear and panic.
He'll run away and hide and do nothing to interfere with the gorilla bands.
And the Communists are not stupid.
They realize that revolution of force and violence dependent upon a minority is doomed to ultimate failure except in those areas where they actually do constitute a majority.
But they aren't going to settle for just part of the United States.
They want all of it.
And so they made it clear long ago that their violent war of national liberation must be secondary to the non-violent proletarian revolution.
To take the United States, all of the United States, it'll be necessary, they say, to involve white people as well as black, to create a broad coalition, a revolutionary link between the civil rights movement, organized labor, peace groups, student dissidents, and in general, to escalate the revolution in America from race war to class war.
