And pardon my NPR voice because I am traveling right now, but we're going to get right to the news because the news has been absolutely stunning.

Let us begin with what has happened in the last 24 hours to Israel, Iran's massive strike on not just Demona, but also Arad.
These strikes together have caused massive damage.
And mind you, Demona is the location, a small city, I believe, only 11 or so square miles big.
It is the location of the infamous nuclear facility where it is said the production of about 80 to 200 nuclear warheads have been produced over the decades of Israel's existence.
So this was a massive strike.
And it was in retaliation two hours before this: Israel reporting and Iran reporting that Israel had attempted to strike the Natan's nuclear facility of Iran.
And Iran now noted that this facility was not damaged to the extent where there's any leaks or anything of this sort.
So Iran hit back hard and it hit back in a way that absolutely shocked Israel because as Iran did this, and I'm going to show the images in a second, the Iranians, the Iranian military, declared that it has full control over Israel's airspace.
Because you may recall that Demona has been talked about by Israel and by the world as one of the most heavily fortified installations inside of the settler colony.
So this is a massive hit to be able to strike Demona in this way.
It shows, as Iran has said, that air defense systems are indeed collapsing all across the colony, but especially even in these hard-hit areas.
Here are just some of the images that have come up in Demona and in Irad.
The casualties are extensive.
There in Irad alone, there was 100, I believe, casualties and six killed.
And overall, Iran is saying there were over 200 casualties.
And Israel is saying that these are going up every single minute to the day where more and more people are being hospitalized and found in the rubble.
So this is the situation right now for Israel.
It is incredibly dire.
They're getting desperate.
The mainstream media in Israel, Israel Hayom, Channel 12, they are saying that Israel is not setting the pace of this war, but Iran is.
This is a massive change in the situation in the war.
And Iran declared in this wave, this is wave 73.
We're in wave 74 right now.
Central Israel is being hit.
Tel Aviv is being hit.
Ben-Guarian airport is being hit by Irash drones.
I mean, this is a massive escalation by Iran going up the ladder in a very strategic manner to demonstrate that it has full control now over Israel's airspace.

Let's start with some of the day's main developments.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls on world leaders to join the war during a visit to an Israeli town struck by an Iranian missile.
Israel's military claims that Iran's long-range missiles pose a threat to Europe.
President Trump threatens to obliterate Iran's energy sites if Tehran doesn't fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
But Iran says it will irreversibly destroy U.S.-linked energy sites across the Middle East if its power plants are targeted.
Right, let's bring you up to date with what we know.
Israel is still reeling after missile strikes from Iran.
Emergency services say more than 160 people have been injured in the southern Israeli towns of Demona and Arad.
It appears that the target of the Iranian attack was a nuclear facility 13 kilometers away from Demona.
Our correspondent Sebastian Usher has been to the site of the strike.
Beneath me here is the crater that was left by the direct hit that the Iranian missile made.
It had a 200-meter blast range.
So you can see the buildings, one brought down there, there's a kindergarten over there.
These apartment buildings here stripped bare the facades by the force of the impact.
Over here, you'll see another building that's been brought down.
This is major devastation near the nuclear facility of Demona.
That is why this area is being targeted.
But it's more, more to come.
The U.S. and Israel are not winning the war.
Glenn Greenwald reports is very, very good, of course.
I'm a huge fan and admire him greatly.
And let's see if we can get him on.
This is something that President Trump either has to try and resolve, which can only be done with lots of ground troops and Marines on the ground, at least on various islands close to Iran, if not on the shore of Iran itself.
And you have what is a much greater military retaliatory capability on the part of Iran than a lot of American military planners and media figures predicted.
We are now about three and a half weeks into this war, a little bit over three weeks.
When it began, we were told likely three weeks, four weeks, something like that.
In order for it to be concluded, maybe a little longer, there's no possibility that we are close to the end of this war if we're to do anything other than obviously suffer a serious loss because none of the real aims of the war,
regime change, all the stuff about saving the Iranian protesters and liberating the Iranian people, to say nothing of the demand that President Trump very melodramatically and flamboyantly insisted would be the only one he would accept to end the war,
which is unconditional surrender, to say that we're very, very far from unconditional surrender on the part of the Iranians, absent some unthinkable event where the United States and Israel just go completely berserk in ways that alter humanity and world history forever.
Absent that, we are obviously nowhere near close to anything like unconditional surrender.
In fact, we're not really close to anything close to Iranian surrender at all.
Quite the contrary, the Iranians absolutely do believe they're winning.
And if you talk to Iranian sources, people who are close to the government, to officials in Iran, they will tell you that, not just stating it publicly, but they will tell you that they are very happy with the war's progress.
And we're trained in the United States to believe that we win every war, that we're always winning every war.
And it's not just that we're accustomed to believing that.
It's that it's very important for us to believe that.
If you say to an American during a war, especially at the beginning of a war, look, we're not really winning this war, few things will provoke as much fury and rage at you for saying that, for suggesting that.
People feel like it's some kind of betrayal or even like almost treason.
Like you're rooting for the other side if you're pointing out that the American war plans are not going as a lot of people were led to believe that they would.
And it's a very important patriotic, nationalistic, tribalistic need to believe that we win wars.
In fact, when I was a kid, I was taught that every war that the United States has fought, the United States has won.
The United States never lost a war.
And then I came to understand what happened in Vietnam, among other things, and realize just how false that was.
The United States absolutely lost the war in Vietnam, even though the United States fought there for more than a decade, lost close to 60,000 Americans, killed millions of Vietnamese, the war did.
It's an absolute atrocity, left generations impaired by chemicals and Agent Orange and the like.
And yet, Americans were constantly told, oh, we're winning the war.
They were told that from the beginning.
Americans were absolutely taught to believe from the beginning of that war that we were on the verge of defeating the North Vietnamese communists.
And the whole point of the Pentagon papers, which Daniel Ellsberg released and almost went to prison for, was that he discovered, despite having been an early advocate of the Vietnam War, despite having been somebody who helped planned it inside the RAN Corporation, he came to realize that the United States was lying to the American people about exactly that issue.
They were telling the American people, oh, we're on the verge of winning.
We just need another six months.
But internally, the Pentagon knew that there was no possibility they could win the war in Vietnam, no matter how much indiscriminate force they used, no matter how many civilians they slaughtered, that the best they could hope for was a standstill.
And that's why Ellsberg came forward and came.
And of course, he was exactly right.
And look how the war in Afghanistan and other long, long war went when battling against the Taliban to withdrawing and the Taliban returning to power.
So it's really absurd, the situation we're in.
Let this not happen with Iran.

North Russia, Central Russia, the Trans-Siberian Railway refurbished, and then this southern route.
That means that about 60 to 80% of the world's commerce, and this has happened before.
If you know your history and the Persian Empire, the Mongol, the Mogul, the Eastern Roman, Western Roman, and so forth, this has happened before.
That will take commerce off the high seas and put it on rails.
We dominate the maritime sphere, or at least we used to.
We still do to an extent.
We're going to find out just how much we don't with this war.
But that limits our capability to limit others' people's economic power because they're all on land.
And all of these railroads debouch into Europe, and they will carry China's produce along those routes.
And they will decrease times by hours.
And in fact, in two cases, by days.
So this is a colossal power move by China.
We tried to thwart the central one in Ukraine.
We failed at that because I don't think Biden got it.
The people behind him got it and those that were pushing it.
But I don't think he really got it.
And besides, I think he became a little demented towards the end of his, not demented, but out of his element in terms of his cerebral capabilities towards the end.
And you had Jake Sullivan and Anthony Blinken, who knew nothing of this, running it.
They were simply working for B.B. Netanyahu.
So that's the big, huge geostrategic picture that people behind Trump actually know about and actually are concerned about.
Think about the Rothschilds.
Think about the Medicis.
Think about the J.P. Morgan's of the past.
These kind of people know about this and they're watching it very carefully.
And some of them are pushing it and some of them are just neutral and others are antagonistic to it and have thwarted such things as full support for Ukraine.
But no one knows who's going to win.

I think what Trump knows is that he wants to help Netanyahu for two principal reasons.

I think I read the other day that Jared Kushner is now up to 200 billion in contracts that he's negotiated while he was being a special envoy.
So they're making a ton of money.
And then the second reason is to get our attention off of Epstein because I think Epstein has some really bad stuff in it for a lot of people in the power structure.
So those are his two principal reasons for doing it, I think.
And that's the reason he's avoided the statutory decision-making process completely.
Nothing has been done in accordance with Congress's law passed in 1947, amended several times.
But that's how you're supposed to make national security decisions.
He's totally avoided that.
So if he were impeached, that'd be the first charge I would throw at him.
You defied the system we created for you to make war decisions after World War II because we didn't like the way FDR did it in the years he was president.
So we passed that law.
That's the first thing I'd bring against him if I were impeaching him.
All of that to say we're in a mess.
We're in a mess because Donald Trump has, as my president said, misestimated the situation.
Um, Iran is resolute, Iran is defiant, and frankly, right now, Iran is pummeling Israel.

I think it's fair to say Iran is not going to fall.
The question is whether this event is going to be dragged out so long that the world pays an enormous price for the intransigence of Israel and the United States, which will keep the Gulf of Hormuz blocked and bring about catastrophic consequences worldwide, worldwide.

Inevitably, what's going to happen now and what's happening now is, by the way, the United States and Israel solidified the ongoing notion of the Iranian establishment as a whole, that America is the great Satan and Israel is the small Satan.

I mean, again, we spoke about the sanctions of the United States between the early 70s up until the late 2010s or 2021.
U.S. sanctions imposed on countries, according to recent stats, led to the death of over 30 million people.
So this is an invisible genocide that America is doing against other countries.
They make people suffer simply because they want them to surrender their wealth, their sovereignty, their independence to foreign entities and foreign global companies and corporations when Iran told them no.
So you had government and establishment that spoke, that still opened channels of communication, despite all of the treacherous, by the way, immoral, vile behavior of all of the American politicians who were negotiating with Iran, by the way, especially under Trump, who unilaterally withdrew from an agreement.
Let's remind people of that.
Without any just cause, by without any reason.
Like he was saying, oh, we unfroze their assets and they got billions.
Now he is lifting sanctions and they're going to get billions.
All hypocrisy.
But what's more important here is the fact that now the Iranians who weren't really agreeing with the establishment in Iran are realizing, oh, oh, okay, all right.

And so it was a month or two after the October 7th and the Palestinian, I mean, the Jews started bombing the Palestinians.
And I was the one that says, look, we all can see what's going to happen.
And this was early on of what the Jews are going to do, especially with the weaponsry that they had.
And I basically said, Palestinians need to do a buyout, a trillion dollar buyout, and move their kingdom to Syria or Turkey.
Well, we can see where this is going.
Now, you know, Ralph Nader basically says that 600,000 Palestinians have actually been killed.
That's the highest number I heard.
And that was many, many months ago.
So this is a big idea.
So what this idea is, and this is the only way I think we're going to be able to save or actually even prosper out of the present situation, and that is to bind all of the different parties.
And I'm talking all the major ones, United States, China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, together, basically, and to form a new Middle East type of corporation.
I don't know what you would call it, the Levant Corporation or whatever.
But what this corporation does is that the Chinese, you know, and pick a number.
It'd have to be a big number, 10 trillion, 50 trillion, 100 trillion.
I don't know what it would be, but the Chinese would guarantee they'll throw in, let's say it's going to be 50 trillion.
They'll guarantee to back up 50 trillion from their side.
United States, I mean, 25 trillion.
The United States will guarantee 25 trillion, form this new corporation.
And what this new Middle East corporation does, and it's weighted.
So all the different parties, it would be like a redo of OPEC, except Iran would come in and basically saying that we will guarantee and set a level where everybody can make money at like $90.
And what this corporation does is it guarantees a certain level of what the oil will be, but it also is a dispersal fund to actually rebuild the damage that's been done in Iran and the various parts of the Middle East.
Of course, all the United States bases got to go, except for maybe the one in Saudi Arabia, just to keep the place stabilized.
But so anyways, it's a way, it's a clearinghouse of not only for reparation funds to all the various parties, but also to balance off the oil.
And of course, you have to drop the sanctions against Iran.
But the only thing that's going to get everybody to the table is some big figure like a $50 trillion fund to basically put back the Middle East and saying, look, this is the way things are going to be now.
This is going to be the level of oil.
If the oil goes over this amount, as far as the amount that we need worldwide, well, okay, the price will move up.
Then you can sell it outside of that.
But basically, the concept is to bind them together and even create, and this is another big component.
And I appreciate the time.
The other big component is that when the United States and China becomes the guaranteer of this Middle East corporation, they also create an actual new currency, the yaller, the yuan and the dollar, 50-50.
And so in this part of the region, so it's not a petrodollar anymore.
It's a yualler or dollar with a Y on the front.
And so they create this new type of currency.
But I believe it's only going to be that amount of money where they can see that they can put the Middle East back together again, which, by the way, a lot of analysts are saying it's over for Israel.
Colonel McGregor says that there's over 20 to 25% of the Jews that are now in Israel.
They don't want to do this anymore.
They're leaving.
In fact, they stopped them from flying out.
And what Colonel McGregor said is that it's not that the 20 or 25% that want to leave, it's going to be a demographic devastation, but it's the type of person that's going to leave the Middle East.
These are the skilled and the educated ones.
These are the ones with the IQs, you know, over 120.
These are the people that make a state basically function.
And as soon as this war is over, they're not doing this anymore.
They're leaving, which means, you know, Israel is basically going to demographically and intellectually IQ literally collapse within itself.

What do you think about this new currency, the yaller, new Middle East corporation, where Iran, Saudi Arabia, all of them are in it?
I think they said the sweet spot for oil where everybody can make money and it's good for the global economy.
It's somewhere between $75 and $90 a barrel.

That's the perfect spot where the corporations make money and it's not as much of a tax on the worldwide economy for energy.
But anyways, they all come together and they form this new corporation with this new financial instrument.
And everybody gets their money to rebuild, but they're also guaranteed a certain amount of money.
I know it's kind of unoral because it kind of puts a tax on the rest of the world by artificially pegging oil at a certain amount.
But I think it's the only way out.
I think the only thing that's going to bring these people together and bind people is that big pot of money.
