National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent has resigned over the Iran war, blooming Israel in its powerful American lobby for the conflict, getting it exactly right.
Here's the Gateway Pundit reporting.
Director of National Intelligence tells Gabbard has lost one of her key deputies thanks to the ongoing war in Iran.
She, by the way, is to testify to Congress tomorrow.
And of course, had been a source repeatedly of the best U.S. intelligence data that Iran not only did not have any nuclear weapons, but was not seeking to acquire them.
Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, announced his resignation effective today.
He stated his resignation that Iran posed no imminent threat to America and asserted we started the war because of pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby, which of course is exactly right.
He ended the letter saying it had been an honor to serve Trump and Gabbard.
After much reflection, I've decided to resign from my position as director of the National Counterterrorism Center effective today.
I cannot, in good conscience, support the ongoing war in Iran.
Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.
And it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

In part of his resignation letter, Iran posed no imminent threat.
This is an amazing, amazing development.
I can just tell you that the political courage that it took, the moral courage that it took to resign in this position at this time, especially when the war has just started, is just almost unprecedented.
It may be unprecedented.
There may not have been anything like this.
Definitely hasn't been any common example of moral courage of this caliber in my lifetime.
It is absolutely amazing.
And I'm going to get to some of the details of what he said in this post in his resignation letter.
But just real quick, in case you're not aware of who Joe Kent is, he is the number two guy at the office of the director of national intelligence.
He is the deputy for Tulsi Gabbard.
And just so you know, you may recall, if you're new to this channel, you may not know, but I was almost the number three person at the ODNI at the beginning of the Trump administration.
I was tapped to do that, had been accepted, and was literally a few hours away, literally hours away from joining the staff.
And I would have been the number three.
So I'd have been working right alongside and maybe a little bit below Joe Kent.
And I had the opportunity to meet him in the process of getting ready for that job before I was supposed to start.
And I thought he was a fantastic guy.
And I've often wondered how difficult it was for him to do this job, especially with the Venezuela thing was bad enough.
But then, you know, now then with this war here, and I wondered how both he and Tulsi could continue on with this job, knowing how they felt, knowing what they thought behind the scenes and what their personal objectives were and what their philosophy was and what their understanding of the world was.
I was just, I just couldn't imagine having to work under those conditions.
And now we see that Joe was not able to do that in good conscience.
He could not continue on.
And listen, this is a guy who has got combat experience, has lost his own wife in combat as well.
You'll more on that in just a second.
But listen, let's get right into the substance here, folks, because this letter here is absolutely political dynamite.
This is going to have ramifications that are going to ripple across the country here.
It's going to ripple all the way into the White House.
And just, by the way, we'll just put this out there right away.
You can count on the fact that President Trump will be demonizing this guy probably within hours.
I haven't looked at his truth social yet.
We'll see if he's put anything out of it, but you can count on it because that's what he does.
He demonizes anyone who says anything unflattering to him.
And believe me, folks, this is about as unflattering as it gets.
It is truthful, but it's really unflattering.
Let's take a look at this.
This is the actual letter that he signed.
He says, after much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as the director of National Counterterrorism Center effective today.
I cannot, in good conscience, support the ongoing war in Iran.
Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
Let that sink in for a second, folks, because here is the number two guy in the office of the director of national intelligence, somebody who loves this country and has worked hard for it, is saying this, what we've been telling you since before this thing ever started.
It's been self-evident, but now here we have an official at the highest levels confirming it who was working in the intelligence directorate itself.
This guy knows what he's talking about.
And this will not be easy to brush aside and say, oh, well, he was some liberal or whatever somebody is the president.
No.
In fact, he goes on to say in the very next part there, I support the values and the foreign policies that you campaigned on in 2016, 2020, and 2024, which you enacted in your first term until June of 2025.
You understood that the wars in the Middle East were a trap that robbed America of the precious lives of our patriots and depleted the wealth of our prosperity of our nation.
Then he goes on to talk about some of the things that he liked.
But then we get into the real political dynamite.
This is it right here, folks.
Let this sink into Early in this administration, he writes, high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media deployed a misinformation campaign that wholly undermined your America First platform and sowed pro-war sentiments to encourage a war with Iran.
This echo chamber is used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States, that you should strike now.
There was a clear path to a swift victory.
This was a lie and is the same tactics the Israelis used to draw us into disastrous Iraq war that cost our nation the lives of thousands of our best men and women.
We cannot make this mistake again.
And then he kind of bolsters his credibility.
And folks, this is unimpeachable.
You may not like, if you're a President Trump fan, you may not like the embarrassment that this causes.
Don't care because this right here is the God's God's awful truth.
It is the gospel.
It is reality.
And he writes, as a veteran who deployed to combat 11 times, and as a gold star husband who lost my beloved wife, Shannon, in a war manufactured by Israel.
He's even going back to the 2003 war.
We've always blamed it on President Bush.
But he's saying here, and again, this guy has as a, as a, I think his background is also in other intelligence in the past.
Obviously, his position was here.
This guy knows what he's talking about.
He lived it and he has access to everything.
And he says that it was manufactured by Israel, the 2003 Iraq war.
And now he says that's what cost his own wife.
And he said, I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of an American lives.
And then he adds, I pray that you will reflect upon what we are doing in Iran and who we are doing it for.
The time for bold action is now.
You can reverse course and chart a new path for our nation, or you can allow us to slip further into decline and chaos.
You hold the cards.
It was an honor to serve your administration and our great nation.
Let me just say, Colonel Davis got it all right.

I would be astonished if she didn't echo his sentiments.
It's even possible she could testify on live television while testifying before Congress.
She must share his outrage.
Meanwhile, Colonel Davis got it exactly right.
Here's Forbes reporting, and I watched it happen this morning.
It was embarrassing.
It was shameless.
Trump denounces resignation of top U.S. counterterrorism officials.
He goes on to say, Speaking of reporters at White House Tuesday this morning, Trump said it's a good thing.
Kent resigned because he said that Iran was not a threat.
The president said every country considered Iran a threat.
Rubbish, complete rubbish.
Iran is the most peace-loving nation in the world, not having launched a war of aggression against any other state since 1775.
Remember, the Declaration of Independence was 1776 for longer than the United States has existed as a constitutional republic.
Iran has not launched a war of aggression.
Would that could be said of the United States?
What Trump is saying is historically ridiculous and factually repulsive, but that's the best he can do.
White House Pledge Secretary Carolyn Levin also denounced Kent's comments, referring to Iran as the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism.
No, that distinction blocks Israel and the United States.
We are the leading sponsors of terrorism in the world today, not Iran.
In her post on X citing many false claims in Kent's letter, there's not a single one.
Levin said Trump determined the U.S. should attack Iran because it would greatly reduce the risk to American lives that would come up for first strike from the terrorist Iranian regime.
There wasn't going to be the first strike.
Shelton called it insulting and laughable and other grudges influenced Trump's decision, right?
The attack was in America's best interest.
Well, Donald Trump made a complete fool of himself this morning.
He's not going to get away with it.
He's going to be ripped up and down for this.
It's a calamity for him politically, but it's good for the nation that we're having those somewhat of this man's stature speak out.
And as I say, it's going to be a double whammy because tomorrow Tulsi will be testifying and she's going to confirm every word in Kent's letter.
Meanwhile, YouTube, they said we won in the first hour.
Then the real number.
The president said we won in the first hour.
That is what he told a crowd on Wednesday.
It was over in the first hour, he said.
Then on Thursday afternoon, a military refueling plane went down over Iraq and four Americans did not come home.
Two more are still missing as I record this.
And yesterday, the defense secretary stood behind a podium at the Pentagon and said, and I need you to hear these exact words.
War is hell.
War is chaos.
Bad things can happen.
Bad things can happen.
That is what the families of those four service members were told on Friday.
That is the message from the administration that said this was already won.
But it is not just those four, because this week, the full picture of what has been happening to our military started coming out, and it looks nothing like what they have been telling you.
On Tuesday, the Pentagon confirmed for the first time that 140 American service members have been wounded in this operation.
140.
And the reason you did not know that number until well over a week into this war is because they did not want you to know.
When the first attack hit our forces in Kuwait on day one, the administration said five were seriously hurt and several had minor injuries.
That was the story for over a week.
Five serious, a few minor.
Then CBS News broke what actually happened.
The scene was far worse than disclosed.
Dozens were rushed to hospitals across three countries.
20 were evacuated to Germany on emergency flights with injuries so severe the military classified them as urgent.
19 more were evacuated two days later.
And as of earlier this week, more than 30 service members remain in hospital beds from Walter Reed to San Antonio to Landstool.
And I know.
I'll tell you that this was last week Marjorie Taylor Greene was making that observation.
I'll tell you now.
There have to be over 500 American dead, possibly over 1,000.
Trump's not telling us.
He's concealing it.
He's playing games, deceiving the American people.

Well, I think we're talking about monumental income.
And I think that finally, in the weeks ahead, it'll become so obvious that it simply will no longer be ignored.
But I must say, it's not just President Trump, his administration, Department of Defense, also large numbers of people on the Hill.
I think there were a whole number of false expectations.
What's really interesting, Judge, is that I think what you'll begin to hear from people, especially from those in uniform, is, well, you know, I always said this was going to be difficult.
And then you press them and they'll eventually come back and say, but that's not my job to make those calls.
My job is just to prepare the military options and that's what I did.
Well, Judge, you know, this is the sort of nonsense that passes for strategic thinking in Washington.
What should have happened is the president should have had a briefing from the chairman and presumably from the commander that would execute this at CEDCOM that would have outlined in as much detail as they possibly could the predictable outcomes, the predictable problems that would arise and also the unanticipated consequences.
And anybody that did that would have immediately said, well, what about the Strait of Hormuz?
What if that is automatically closed?
And if it's automatically closed, what does that mean?
I mean, anybody who was a junior in high school looking at this would probably have raised that issue.
Now, was that ever raised?
I have no idea.
But the very notion that President Trump engaged in this and embarked on this without ever talking to his allies.
What about Japan, the Japanese prime minister?
What about the president of South Korea?
It just so happens that Japan depends on 72 to 75 percent of its oil from the Persian Gulf.
In the case of South Korea, it's 68 percent.
When you go to India, it's at least 50, if not rising.
Now, China, of course, 50 percent.
China also has a 100-day strategic petroleum reserve.
Another 90 days from now, that could run out.
And obviously, we're always interested in harming China, unfortunately.
But everybody else in Asia is not our enemy and certainly is not opposed to us.
And we did a lot of damage.
You turn to Europe, it's probably as bad, if not worse, with rises in prices from 70 to 100%.
You know, no one seems to have done any real thinking.
And I think it's time for the people on the hill to do their jobs.
At least it would be nice to see some effort raising some of these questions.
This is a report that they've removed the YouTube, so it may very well be true that the Ford has been taken out of action.

The war Trump started is backfiring more and more each day.
He has very little time left before America wakes up and realizes what a dog's breakfast he has made of it all.
For many regional analysts, it is clear that Donald Trump badly wants to find out what Americans call an off-ramp out of the Iran war.
His recent comments that there was a little more than a bomber attack combined with him preparing for a baptism of scorn for the war by blaming his cabal for their advice.
And he mentioned Jared Kusher and Witcoff and Marco Rubio and Pete Hagsmith as having encouraged him to do it, wanting to pass the Bach, is a clue as to how Trump understands little about the region and even left about conflict.
Even the regime, Iranian regime was shocked to learn of the comment about ending it soon, given that they have a different plan of continuing with their attacks.
But no matter how rose-tinted a view you might have of Trump's intervention, U.S. and Israel have come out of it very badly.
And the ramification will be held for months, perhaps years to come.
Some may even go further and argue that the region and America's hegemony there will never be what it was.

Yeah, so day in day three is now, we're into the third, the third week of this war as far as the time in Tehran.
It is now 12.30 a.m.
So that means the third week of this war has started in Iran.
I would encourage all of your listeners and people watching this, when you're trying to sort out what's happening, anything the government, the US government is saying to you about this war, assume that it is a lie.
Let me give you one example.
Today it was announced that a KC-135, a fuel tanker that is used to refuel combat aircraft like the F-35, that it crashed.
Don't ask any more questions.
It just crashed.
It wasn't shot down.
It crashed.
Okay, look, most Americans above the age of 15 understand that planes can crash on takeoff because, say, an engine burns out, they got too heavy, something.
So it crashes on takeoff.
It can crash on landing because there's been something mechanically wrong with the plane, like the nose gear won't come down, etc.
But normally, planes aren't just flying along in the sky and then crash.
They suddenly plunge to the earth.
Well, what the Department of War is not telling you is that that plane was shot down.
And there was a plane, there was another KC-135 following behind that saw the surface, the air missile that took the plane out.
They saw it fired, and the plane behind was able to take evasive action to avoid having itself shot down.
So that plane was down by an air defense system.
Well, the Pentagon doesn't want to say that, or, you know, they don't want to.
My God, we'd have to admit that they haven't completely suppressed all air defense systems and that there are still vulnerabilities out there.
And moreover, to make it worse, this now brings the total dead up to 14 from combat.
You see, if it was just an accident, they wouldn't get caught as a combat.

Now, he's absolutely right about that.

Right after the Tax Reform Act came in, I was probably about a year and a half later, you started seeing signs all over Las Vegas, and it said, diversity is our strength.
And then came Desert Storm.
And then came the national debt.
And then because they closed the homeless or the mental institutions around the country, now we have homelessness.
The first episodes of Seinfeld talked about the homeless guy on the street.
We never had homelessness before the Tax Reform Act of 1986.
Before the Tax Reform Act of 1986, we had 60, 70, and 80% income tax rates.
And what these tax rates did is it kept the playing field level for everybody else going off into the world.
I have a relative who bought a house at 16% in the 1980s.
You can't buy a house at 16% anymore.

They should be getting to know other people and they should be more like people rather than actual citizens.
And I think they should outlaw war and the only entity would be one entity.
And so I think that in other words, we start to start being more interdependent,
not elevating our one country to heights rather than interacting with other people so we can get a better idea of how other people live.
That's a very idealistic, even romantic vision, Romeo.
It's a form of one world government, of course.
And it's unfortunate that the tendency would be toward totalitarianism, authoritarianism, and it would be unworkable in practice, but I appreciate the inspiration that led you to propose it here.
And I like having different ideas cast out before us for our contemplation, because that's the hardest part of thinking things through, getting good ideas, alternative ideas, different possibilities out on the table.

I think with the, I think Russia and China would like to be involved and support Iran, but I think they're waiting in the wings to see, to wait for us to show our hands, see what our tactics are, see what our weapons systems are like, so they can kind of get a read on how they would counter respond.
I can see a situation like we had in the Korean situation conflict where China's just going to pour the troops and then we may be fighting China directly on territory, on third-party territory, so to speak.
But I used to have a show on RBN years ago, and I warned people, it was right when Trump was first elected.
And I think that's part of the reason I lost my gig was because many people associated with the station wanted to believe in Trump.
And listen, you got a better chance of the tooth fairy leaving a 25 cent quarter under your pillow for a tooth or Santa Claus squeezing down the chimney or any of the others tie in the sky things than counting on anybody, especially a billionaire playboy, to come in because he says to make America great.
And he says he's going to do this.
And he says, look at all the promises he's broken.

And people have to stop believing the lies.
