	This morning, the world focuses on Trump's decision to launch a global trade war, but in a few weeks' time, the man who last month pledged to deliver peace through strength is planning to embark on a real war.

	So what is the justification for this assault on Iran to curtail its nuclear weapons program when the nuclear weapons program does not exist?

	Now, remember, under international law, if a nation is threatened with an imminent attack, it is authorized, it is legal to construct, to conduct a preemptive strike to take out the forces that are about to attack you.
	That appears to be precisely the situation we have here.
	What I like about Diego Garcia is that's an isolated island in the middle of an ocean, and if there were to be a preemptory strike, there'd be virtually no collateral damage.
	Nope. Civilians, buildings, infrastructure, hospitals, libraries, whatever.
	It ain't there.
	Meanwhile, Gulf states refuse to be launching pad for U.S. attacks against Iran.
	U.S. decision to amass V-2 bombers at Diego Garcia is a result of Gulf Arab monarchs closing airspace to American airplanes in event of war with Iran.
	Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states have imposed a ban on U.S. warplanes using their airfields or skies to attack Iran after U.S. President Donald Trump over the weekend threatened to bomb the country.
	Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait have all told the U.S. they will not permit their airspace or territories to be used as a launching pad against Iran, including For refueling or rescue operations, a senior U.S. official told Middle East High.
	The officials welcome the condition of anonymity.

	The Gulf state's intransigence is a setback for the Trump admin, which had hoped to use massive airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen as a show of force To corral Tehran to the negotiating table on a nuclear deal?

	U.S. Friday, Tuesday, and now new sanctions on an alleged Iranian weapons procurement network as Trump is ramming up his so-called maximum pressure campaign against Iran.
	The very idea is reprehensible.
	Diplomacy isn't a matter of maximum pressure.
	Diplomacy is a matter of discussing and sorting out your differences.
	Without having to resort to war.
	But for Trump, war, military pressure, appears to be his first rather than last option.
	I don't like it.
	Treasury said it sanctioned six entities and two people based in Iran, the UAE, and China over allegations They were involved in the procurement of unmanned aerial vehicle components on behalf of Iran-based Quds Aviation Industries, a leading manufacturer for Iran's UAV program, which, by the way, is extremely successful, very high quality.

	Since Trump signed an executive order reinstating maximum pressure on Iran, His admin has been increasing sanctions and threatening to take military action against Tehran.
	The new sanctions came after Trump threatened to bomb Iran if a deal isn't reached on the country's nuclear program.

	Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the USS Harry Truman and its strike group will remain in the Middle East and will be joined by the USS Carl Vinson and its accompanying warships, which are traveling to the region from the Asia Pacific.
	Parnell said Hegseth also ordered the deployment of additional squadrons and other air assets That'll further reinforce our defensive air support capabilities.

	What we have today is An effort to find a framework that would make it possible to ensure America's vision for a ceasefire.
	The idea is then to move on to other models and frameworks, which as far as we can see, leave no room for Russia's core demand.
