	U.S.-Russia agreed to normalize diplomatic ties and seek an end to the war in Ukraine.
	Following a high-level meeting between U.S. and Russian officials, the State Department said Washington and Moscow We'll begin taking steps to normalize the diplomatic relationship between the two superpowers.
	U.S.-Russian diplomacy sank during the first Trump administration, and Biden cut nearly all contact with Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, the special military operation.
	Secretary of State Rubio, National Security Advisor Walz, Middle East Envoy Witkoff, He also went on to explain three more.
	The second, we're going to appoint a high-level team from our end.
	To help negotiate and walk through the end of the conflict in Ukraine in a way that's enduring and acceptable to all parties.
	That's going to be tough, given Zelensky is contradicting everything Trump and Putin would like to do.
	The third is to begin working at a high level to discuss and think about the geopolitical and economic cooperation that should result from an end to the conflict, meaning...
	Between Russia and the United States.
	The last thing we agreed is that our teams are going to be working on all this.
	The five of us who were here today are going to remain engaged in the process to make sure it's moving along in a productive way.
	That's all very positive.
	Meanwhile, Trump just called Zelensky a dictator, which is true, of course.
	Here we have human rights lawyer Bob Amsterdam, worked in Ukraine for the past couple of years, confirms that, if anything, that's an understatement.

	It hasn't stopped the Ukrainians from launching a massive disinformation campaign against me because of my defense of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is the majority church of Ukraine, which Zelensky and his gang have been trying to destroy.
	I am on the legal team of some of the priests that they have illegally jailed.
	We have an individual in London who fled the country because Zelenskyy had literally set people to basically, I don't want to use the word liquidate him, but he had to virtually run across a border.
	This is a member of the RADA. Who, Yermak, took away his security.
	He had to run across the border to save his life.
	And his crime was speaking out against a law to destroy his church.
	Pretty good stuff.
	The guy's obviously not enthusiastic about Vladimir nor Voldemir.
	Meanwhile, Trump says Ukraine should hold elections.
	Sounds like a reasonable thing to do.
	Tuesday, President Trump called for an election to be held in Ukraine and said it was an idea coming from him, not from the Russians.
	We have a situation where we haven't had elections in Ukraine, where we have martial law, essentially martial law in Ukraine, where the leader in Ukraine, I mean, I hate to say it, but he's had a 4% approval rating, Trump told reporters.
	It's unclear where Trump got the 4% number.
	A poll conducted in Ukraine in November of 2024 found just 16% of Ukrainians would vote to re-elect Zelensky.
	60% said they didn't even want to see him run again.
	Meanwhile, we have Ivan Kachovsky, as I predicted.
	States that he wants elections in Ukraine suggests Zelensky would lose because he had a 4% approval.
	In my research, Suggests Zelensky has very low electoral support.
	His 16% in 2024 was inflated and is lower now.
	Meanwhile, Putin has acknowledged that he would speak with Zelensky were it necessary in order to promote a peace conference.

	Many politicians are alarmed that President Trump is engaging directly in talks.
	With Russia without Ukraine.
	Russian President Putin said he's willing to talk with Zelensky.
	The Gremlin said Tuesday Putin would engage with Zelensky, but Moscow questions a Ukrainian leader's legal ability to negotiate.
	Putin himself said he would be ready to negotiate with Zelensky if necessary, but the legal basis of agreements needs discussion.
	Considering the reality that Lezinski's legitimacy can be questioned, Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
	Zelensky was inaugurated in May of 2019 with a term that expired in May of 2024. However, he has refused to hold new elections, arguing the country cannot elect a new leader under martial law.
	That's a convenient way of keeping himself in office.
	But how can his legitimacy be taken for granted?

	Despite trying to stack the conference with members ostensibly inclined to keep the lights on in Kiev, they failed to reach a consensus and emerged from the session taking verbal shots at one another.
	Meanwhile, In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the American-Russian delegation had a productive meeting, but rather than focus on ending the war in Ukraine, the meeting concentrated on constructing a plan to normalize relations between Washington and Moscow and to prepare a meeting for the end of February between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
	To me, that means Trump and Putin, in their hour-and-a-half conversation, already resolved the terms on which they're going to settle the war, which are going to be in Russia's favor, of course.
	Russia retains that 20% of Ukraine is presently occupying, including the Donbass, Crimea, and a couple of other oblasts, that Ukraine will be denied any opportunity to join NATO ever.
	Here I'm less certain about what the details may be about the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, but I have no doubt Putin is going to insist.
	Meanwhile, an Israeli official has admitted the goal is to demolish more than the Palestinians built.
	This is from Responsible Statecraft, Israeli official.
	According to reports, far-right Israeli Finance Minister Benzel Smoltrich, the most extreme of the extremists, said on Sunday, the goal for 2025 is to demolish more than the Palestinian build in the West Bank.
	This comes as the Israeli government is reportedly Building almost 1,000 additional housing units in the Efrat settlement close to Jerusalem.
	The additional unit built for settlers in Efrat would increase the settlement size by 40% and block development in the Palestinian city of Bethlehem.
	Roughly 100 existing settlements in the West Bank close to around 500,000 Israeli settlers.
	And are considered illegal under international law.
	Sunday's comment from Smoltrich reflected his long-staying hope for Israeli absorption of the West Bank and the nixing of a two-state solution.
	He published a lengthy plan in 2017 in this regard entitled One Hope.

	Consistent, according to Mike Huckabee, our new ambassador to Israel's declaration that, yes, A Palestinian state is a great idea, just as long as its borders are outside those of Israel.
	Meanwhile, UN decries Israeli police raids on its schools in occupied East Jerusalem.
	These are UN schools that are being raided by the Israelis.
	But then, of course, they don't give a damn about human rights, international law, the UN charter.
	This is a violation of the basic right to education as well of United Nations privileges and immunities, was declared by the UNRWA chief.

	I mean, minor compared to the other violation taking place.

	Why is Israel occupying these five positions in Lebanon?

	Israel announced it will continue to occupy five strategic locations in southern Lebanon after the expiration of an 18 February deadline for the troops to withdraw.
	An Israeli military spokesman said on Monday, and of course that would have been two days ago.
	We need to remain at those points at the moment to defend Israeli citizens, to make sure this process is complete and eventually handed over to the Lebanese Armed Forces.
	Military spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Yoshani, told a briefing with the reporters.
	Adding the move was in accordance with the mechanisms of the ceasefire agreement.
	Officials in Lebanon continue to demand Israel's full withdrawal after Tel Aviv missed and violated an earlier January cutoff under a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

	So you see the new Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, saying, you know, it's a multipolar world, and we have to adjust to a multipolar world.
	So the Secretary of Defense is making the same noises, and of course what you're seeing with the discussions around the Ukraine reflect that.

	So essentially, the Neon Fund strategy lost and lost big in the Ukraine, and the incoming administration, whoever they are, whatever their philosophy is, has to deal with that.
	It is what it is.
	The second thing that's happened is if you go back, there's a very interesting Australian think tank that tracks the top technologies and who's in the lead on the top technologies globally.
	They tracked 64 technologies at the end of 2007. The U.S. led in, I think, 60 of the 64. And today, the U.S. leads in 7. And China leads in 57. And is rapidly increasing their leadership in the other.

	What is really striking is none of them made a serious argument that Kash Patel is not qualified.
	He's spent nearly two decades working in law enforcement.
	He's been a federal public defender.
	He's been a federal prosecutor.
	He's worked in the National Security Division of the Department of Justice.
	He's been a senior national security staffer on Capitol Hill.
	He's worked in the national security apparatus in the White House.
	And he's been the chief of staff at the Department of Defense.
	Experience is extensive.
	What they are afraid of is that Kash Patel will do exactly what Donald Trump promised.

	If you look at what President Trump campaigned on across the country, one of the core promises Donald Trump made to this nation is that he would end the politicization and the weaponization of the Department of Justice and the FBI. He would bring integrity.
	Back to DOJ and the FBI. And the Democrats are terrified.
