At the same time, we strengthened America's robust sanctions regime on Iran and delivered on President Biden's commitment that Iran would not obtain a nuclear weapon on his watch.
He reminded Israel that while the country had a right, indeed an obligation to defend itself, how it did so mattered.
It was imperative to protect civilians and provide them with humanitarian assistance.
These are the goals that I've worked to advance over a dozen trips to the region since October 7.
You're a brown children.

How do you break American law?
How do you do all that?
And sit here and tell these people, civilized people, that you are doing what?
Kill, kill your policy for the Middle East?

All of this has been part of an all-of-administration effort, led by President Biden.
Our imperative is not to turn back the clock to the way things were before October 7th.
It's to forge a new reality for the Middle East in which all people are more secure, all can realize their national aspirations, all can live in peace.
Is that hard to achieve?
Yes.
Peace in the region always has been.
Over 250 days, Israel has committed genocide against the Palestinian people.
We have sent over $25 billion to Israel in the past year.
That's $70 of all of our money.
$70 that we are using to send weapons, send bombs, and genocide.
Lincoln, you lied on May 10th to Congress.
You lied.
ProPublica has revealed USAID and the State Department's Refugees Bureau both concluded this spring that Israel had deliberately blocked deliveries of food and medicine into Gaza.
But US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other top Biden officials rejected the findings of the agencies, even though they're considered the two foremost US authorities on humanitarian assistance.
Blinken's decision allowed the U.S. to keep sending arms to Israel.
Under U.S. law, the government is required to cut off weapons shipments to countries, preventing the delivery of U.S.-backed aid.
Days after receiving the reports, Blinken told Congress, quote, We do not currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of U.S. humanitarian assistance.
We're joined now by the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Brett Murphy, a reporter at ProPublica, where his new pieces headlined Israel deliberately blocked humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Two government bodies concluded Antony Blinken rejected them.
The two agencies that had told him that they were, in fact, deliberately blocking aid, one being USAID, are the foremost experts in this.
As you said, they are the ones responsible for delivering humanitarian assistance into Gaza, into war zones.
All over the world.
In addition to that, his own refugees bureau had made the similar conclusion that a law called the Foreign Assistance Act should have been triggered because the Israelis were restricting aid.
The other assessments he was receiving were nowhere near as detailed as what he received from USAID. They sent a 17-page memo with detailed evidence describing exactly what they knew to be the truth of the ground, and he ultimately rejected those findings and what he told Congress.
A foreign partner or ally that is receiving military assistance from the U.S. We cannot, at the same time, be blocking US-backed humanitarian assistance into a war zone.
If it is the conclusion of the US government that that is happening, the US government is then required to cut off the military assistance.
That's what the law says.
We interviewed two people, Stacey Gilbert, the former senior advisor in the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration.
She resigned over this after 20 years in service.
And Alex Smith, the former contractor for USAID, who was forced to resign over the Biden administration's support for the war on Gaza.
Talk about the significance of what they did and Antony Blinken understanding full well what they understood and why.
Stacey Gilbert worked on the report that Secretary Blinken ultimately delivered to Congress.
She was working on the drafts of that report.
She was in the Refugees Bureau.
She had a very clear understanding of what was going on and what she ultimately said when she resigned, when she saw the final version of what he had told Congress, she said, we know this not to be true.
We, the experts inside of the government, know that the truth on the ground is that the Israelis have been blocking humanitarian aid into Gaza.
This is what she said, and this is what she resigned over.
and she said in her resignation letter, this report, what he told Congress, is going to haunt us.

Well, Gary, that's wonderful stuff from beginning to end.
Anthony Blinken deserves condemnation.
He has been an advocate presiding over genocide, lying about it.
He's a guy who goes to foreign nations, and even though he's our Secretary of State, he announces initially he's there as a Jew, not as the American Secretary of State.
He's a perfect illustration of why I maintained already since 2008 in a Ron Paul Freedom Rally held on the grass outside the Capitol on 15 April, tax day, that no dual citizen should ever be allowed to occupy a policy-shaping or decision-making position in the American government because you cannot know.
That their loyalty to the other state doesn't outweigh their loyalty to the United States.
We could hardly have a more clear-cut example than Anthony Blinken.
I honor and respect the protesters.
They were making key points.
The whole world recognizes about the Israeli slaughter of the Palestinians.
The United States is violating its own laws, its own foreign policy, including the assignment amendment.
That no foreign aid may be sent to a nation that has undeclared weapons of mass destruction, whereas Israel is well known to have mass supplies of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.
And, of course, in addition, requirements that U.S. cannot support any nation that will not allow the delivery of emergency aid to a population in need.

You saw Blinken giving a report saying, no, we have not assessed that Israel is doing what they obviously are doing.
I mean, it's grotesque.
It's shameful.
It's disrespectful of the American people.
It's a disgrace to the United States of America.
We have become a pariah among nations, along with Israel, our gallant ally in the Middle East, because our reputation now is for...
