The Raw Deal (17 June 2024)

Time Text
The peace conference, even though she said it was inconceivable to do so with Russia, whom she did not invite.
I mean, how bad is that?
It went rapidly downhill from there.
Here's a president of Poland who must be one of the dumbest.
I mean, talk about reinforcing stereotypes.
I propose to divide Russia into 200 ethnic states.
Russia is the largest colonial power in the world and is holding 200 ethnic states captive.
The official, sovereign proposal made by President Duda of Poland to break up Russia is, in and of itself, a threat to the existence of the Russian state.
Under Russia's public doctrine on the use of nuclear arsenal, This threat to the existence of the state justifies Russia using its nuclear arsenal to protect itself.
It seems to many that President Poland, by uttering this position, has signed his country's death warrant.
Almost laughable are words from the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, Complaining that Russia invaded his country during World War II and took 10% of its territory.
Sounds so terrible for Finland, doesn't it?
Except the President left out a small detail.
For those not strong in history, 100% of the current Finnish territory is a generous gift of the Russian Empire.
You see, in World War II, 100% of Finland fought on the side of Hitler.
Finnish forces were involved in the blockade of Leningrad.
As such, they were involved in the death of millions of Russians by starvation.
Not to point upon it, one of the Russians who starved to death was President Vladimir Putin's brother.
Oh, and one more inconvenient tidbit of history.
Finland agreed to terms of the peace treaty.
Russia did not take any territory by force.
It's amazing now Finland's Nazi past has been swept under the mat.
Maybe if the country of Finland didn't help starve millions of Russian civilians to death in Leningrad, now of course St.
Petersburg, people might take them seriously.
The fact that Russia allowed any Finn to go on living was quite a gift.
That's a mistake Russia may not make again when Finland comes into Russia's crosshairs.
The President of Colombia, God bless him, walked out!
Gustavo Francisco Petro Urengo said, I decided to suspend my visit to the peace conference in Switzerland, but we found that the conference is essentially an alliance on the side of war.
And we do not agree with this.
Latin America does not want more war.
Very nice statement.
Very appropriate.
Meanwhile, 12 states refused to sign the Zelensky v. Scotland Declaration.
The United Arab Emirates, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, among the countries that have not supported the Swiss summit's final document.
Twelve countries attending the Swiss-hosted Ukraine Peace Conference have refused to sign the final communique.
This is based on a list of countries that approved the document.
According to the list, Armenia, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE are among the states that did not sign the declaration, as well as four organizations, including the UN and OSCE.
79 nations, including Hungary, Serbia, Argentina, Turkey, and Georgia, as well as four international bodies, joined Ukraine in endorsing the document.
The final communique has not been made public.
By going to Reuters, sign a June 13th draft, it places the blame for the war against Ukraine on Russia.
Accusing of causing large-scale human suffering and destruction and crane risks and crises with global repercussions.
The document calls for Ukraine's territorial integrity with internationally recognized borders to be respected, specifically the restoration of Ukrainian control over the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
As well as access to sea ports in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The document also demands the release of all prisoners of war through a complete exchange and the return of deported and unlawfully displaced Ukrainian children.
It is so far unclear why several attendees did not support the document.
However, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Brit Fossil said earlier Sunday, any meaningful progress toward a peaceful resolution to the conflict would require Russia's participation.
What could be more obvious?
Austrian Chancellor Carl Niemeyer said earlier, predicted that not all attendees would sign the declaration because it's a question of the specific choice of words.
Yes.
Russia was not invited to attend, said it would not have taken part even if invited due to the exclusive focus on Kiev's demands.
More than 160 participants were invited to the talks, but nearly half declined due to the absence of the Russian delegation.
The final list of attendees included representatives of 92 countries and 8 international bodies.
Meanwhile, Dmitry Medvedev's harm speech talking about asymmetrical hybrid warfare.
Here are all the new American sanctions.
There will be a new European one soon.
Do we need to respond to them?
It seems not.
Their number is already measured in tens of thousands.
We have learned to live and develop with them.
On the other hand, it is necessary, not only to the authorities of state, but all our people in general, to everyone who loves our motherland, Russia.
After all, they, USA, and their allies declared war upon us, a war without rules.
How to react?
I already spoke about this once, but it's worth repeating.
We should try every day to do as much harm as possible to those countries that have imposed those restrictions on our country and our citizens.
Harm in everything that can be harmed.
Harm their economies, their institutions, their rulers.
Harm the well-being of their citizens, their confidence in the future to do this.
We must continue to look for critical vulnerabilities in their economies and hit them in all areas, causing damage in all places, paralyzing their companies and government agencies, find problems in their critical technology, hit them mercilessly, literally destroy their energy industry, transportation, banking, and social services, fear the imminent collapse of all
Critical infrastructure.
Are they afraid of handing over our weapons to the enemies of the Western world?
We should give them all possible weapons except nuclear for now.
Are they afraid of anarchy and the explosion of crime in their big cities?
We need to help disorganize our municipal government.
They fear war in space?
Then they'll get that too.
Let them stop everything.
Let everything go bad!
Let everything go to hell!
They're afraid of social explosions?
Let's give them a social explosion!
Let's throw all their worst night terrors into the retiosphere!
Use all their creepy phantom pains!
No more sparing their psyche!
Let them shiver in their cozy homes!
Let them shake under their blankets!
Are they screaming about us using fake news?
Let's turn their lives!
Into a crazy nightmare in which they will not be able to distinguish wild fiction from the realities of the day, internal evil from the routine of life.
And no rules against the enemy?
Let them get everything in full for harming Russia in as painful as possible.
Everyone can do their part.
Remember, quid pro quo, tit for tat.
Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth.
As he has done, so must he also do.
Leviticus 2420.
You're hearing it from the fierce Russian nationalists who with high probability will succeed Vladimir Putin as the next president of Russia.
You ain't seen nothing yet.
Meanwhile, Hal Turner reports.
Folks, I don't want to scare you, but we are rapidly running out of time.
As reported on this site earlier today, the President of Poland publicly proposed a forcible break-up of Russia into 200 ethnic states.
He did this in Switzerland.
In front of 78 other countries attending the Peace Conference for Ukraine.
So that's 78 countries against Russia.
That means world war.
The idea of breaking up Russia was first proposed by Gunther Ferlinger, chairman of the Austrian NATO, non-governmental organization of Austria, in April of 2023.
of 2023.
His idea was to have a great
day.
His idea was to have a great day.

Did you know that the police in Boston were broadcasting this is a drill, this is a drill on bull hoards during the marathon?
That the Boston Globe was tweeting that a demonstration bomb would be set off during the marathon for the benefit of bomb squad activities.
And that one would be set off in one minute in front of the library, which happened as the Globe had announced.
Peering through the smoke, you could see bodies with missing arms and legs, But there was no blood.
The blood only showed up later and came out of a tube.
They used amputee actors and a studio-quality smoke machine.

Because we know who they are and what they do.
This is what they do!
And we must fight back!
You can torture us and bomb us.
Fire is catching.
And if we burn, you burn with us!
Good evening.
Are you awake yet?
I hope.
We've tried and we've tried for years and years to use passive resistance and loud voices to make a change.
But time is over.
Your governments around the world have no other goal than to decimate your entire existence at the hands of the bankers and the elites.
The war is coming and it's your choice to decide if you want to be a warrior or a victim.
Denial is not a choice anymore.

Biden commits U.S.
taxpayer to 10 years of blank check funding for the war in Ukraine.
This is outrageous.
This is how it's going.
They're losing the war, but we're going to pay for it forever.
Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Zelensky are planning to sign a deal for long-term U.S.
military assistance for Ukraine, a country whose government we now know is involved in the trafficking of children for sex and harvesting the organs of its own soldiers for profit.
If that sounds too sensational to be true, read on.
The evidence is hiding in plain sight.
See posts below from X, and I'll provide a video later that contains more proof of what's really going on in Ukraine.
It will turn your stomach.
Here's a headline.
Ukraine's Human Organ and Child Prostitution Trafficking Industry.
Does only Russia's Maria Zakharova still care?
Back to Russia's filthy deal with the devil.
The deal commits U.S.
taxpayers, we the people.
To 10 years of arming and training the Ukrainian military and feeds a military-industrial complex that holds sway over the majority of our elected members of Congress in both parties.
There's one small kernel of good news, because the deal is a so-called executive agreement.
And not a formal treaty.
It can be undone by future presidents.
CNN predicted the deal, previewed the deal, reporting an annex in the agreement.
We'll lay out how the Biden admin plans to work with Congress on the implementation of their security commitment specifically.
The long-term funding needed to support Ukraine's defense.
So we taxpayers are basically underwriting the defense of a foreign regime.
I wonder what our founding fathers would think about that.
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said, U.S.
will continue to be right up front and clear at the G7, and that Washington will take bold steps to show Mr. Putin that time is not on his side.
And that he cannot outlast us as we support Ukraine's fight for freedom.
Let's call it what it is.
A blank check commitment to a corrupt foreign government has completely obliterated the freedom of the Ukrainian people.
Elections have been cancelled.
Media outlets and churches voicing opposition to the war have been closed.
Young and middle-aged men are being kidnapped and sent to the front line.
How is that freedom?
But the Western corporate media thinks this is great.
They don't question it.
Read the Brentless Report very carefully, ABC News, whose only lament is a deal could be canceled by a future President Trump.
Trump, here it is.
Listen up.
...with the latest for us. Good morning to you, Selena. Hey, good morning, Robin.
President Biden is kicking off the G7 Summit here in Italy, meeting and shaking hands with global leaders.
And his priority here is to ramp up efforts to stop Russia's war in Ukraine.
In just a few hours, he'll be meeting with Ukraine's President Zelensky to sign a historic long-term security agreement.
Now, while this does not commit U.S.
troops to defend Ukraine, the U.S.
is pledging to bolster Ukraine's defenses.
It's meant to show Vladimir Putin that America is determined to stand by Ukraine no matter how long it takes.
The U.S.
is also dramatically increasing sanctions on Russia, and the U.S.
is also pushing for a $50 billion loan to Ukraine using profits from frozen Russian assets.
But now, look, looming large over this entire summit is the possibility of a Trump presidency.
A future president could withdraw from that security agreement that President Biden is about to sign.
The president, he's got a very, very tough task here of convincing global leaders that American leadership is here to stay no matter what happens in November.
Robin?
All right, Selena, thank you.
Yep, there it is.
Blank check, indeed.
And what the hell are we doing propping up this foreign government?
We're paying for their whole administration.
We're paying for every official in the Ukrainian government.
Meanwhile, are you surprised?
House passes bill for automatic military draft registration of young men between 18 and 26.
Do you know any?
U.S.
House has passed an amendment.
Part of the National Vets Authorization Act for fiscal year 2025.
The amendment will automatically register all draft age male U.S.
residents with a selective service for a possible military draft based on information from other federal databases.
A new system of automatic draft registration would replace the existing system in place since 1980.
In which young men have the freedom to decide whether or not to sign up for the draft.
Mind you, it's going to be compulsory.
According to People's World, the automatic draft registration proposal was initiated by the Selective Service System as part of its annual request to Congress.
The Gateway Pundit reported it was introduced by Representative Chrissy Houlihan, a Pennsylvania former Air Force officer, and endorsed by HASC Chair Mike Rogers, approved by a voice vote of the full committee without audible opposition.
Bad idea.
Meanwhile, Scott Rear reports Israel is being humiliated by the IDF.
Tooth Seeker has so many excellent, excellent stories.
Listen to this.
On June 8th, Israel, alongside the United States, conducted what it is calling one of the most successful rescue operations that it has undertaken since the October 7th, what some call a prison break, others call a terrorist attack, depending on where you sit on the line.
Four Israeli captives were, I guess, freed by Israel, but they killed three that we know of, and not only this, but 270-plus Palestinians were killed at the Nisrat refugee camp.
And the United States was heavily involved in this operation.
There were some who were speculating, although the U.S.
denies this, that the pier that we saw half floating in the sea just a couple weeks ago, some speculated that that pier, and there's video footage that kind of makes it a little Can you talk about your reaction to this, and where does it fall within where Israel stands right now in this broader war that you could call it, genocide, others call it, in Gaza?
reaction to this and where does it fall within where Israel stands right now in this broader war that you could call it genocide, others call it, in Gaza?
What does this really reflect?
First of all, I think we need to be honest about what happened.
It was a military operation designed to free Israeli citizens who were being held against their will by Hamas.
We can call those people hostages if you want to use that term.
Prisoners of war if they were military, if they were civilian, hostages.
On the face of it, of course, Israelis like to do that.
I know there's the argument, you know, oh, it's an illegal occupier.
I use that argument all the time.
You can't argue, you can't complain when the enemy, when people resist you and all that kind of stuff.
I agree.
But if Hamas, I mean, the whole purpose of Hamas taking the hostages was to bring them into Gaza and compel Israel to carry out military operations designed to free the hostages.
That's what this whole thing is about.
And so Israel, this has become a political problem for Israel.
This is what we need to focus on, is the political problem of the hostages.
It's been one of the issues that have been pounding the Netanyahu administration.
Indeed, as we speak, his government is collapsing around him.
Benny Gantz, the minister of One of his key political opponents has left the war cabinet.
He's no longer part of the government.
He's been followed by at least three others.
And this may lead to Israel being compelled to carry out elections in a time of war.
Netanyahu is under a lot of pressure to resign because he's not defeating Hamas.
He's not defeating Hezbollah.
He's not ending this confrontation.
Iran got the better of him.
You know, and yet he he knows that if he doesn't do something, he's going to have to.
It's inevitable that he'd be pushed out.
So this operation was designed to buy him time.
It was a successful hostage rescue operation.
That's how it's being spun that he Benjamin Netanyahu is the brave Israeli leader that will never give up on hostages.
I mean, this is a tremendous propaganda victory for Israel in Israel.
It's something that the Israelis desperately needed as a nation.
You look at the videotapes of the lifeguards announcing the rescue over the radio to all the people on the beach in Tel Aviv and how they're cheering and clapping.
I mean, this is a big deal.
This is a much needed boost in the arm from Benjamin Netanyahu, which tells you Everything you need to know about why he did it because let me tell you this.
This is the worst hostage rescue operation in the history of hostage rescue operations.
First of all, there was no military necessity for this operation.
It's clear that the four hostages who were released were being well-fed.
They weren't being tortured.
They weren't being raped.
Again, they're being held against their will, and I'm not legitimizing this whatsoever.
No matter how much I support the Hamas cause, I understand the reality that if you seize citizens of another nation, don't be surprised when that other nation comes in looking for those citizens through use of force.
So, Israel had every right to do what it's doing.
But not how it did it.
You see, these hostages could have been released through negotiation, the acceptance of the ceasefire.
In fact, there's a Security Council just voted in support of the American proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, one which has a hostage release component built into it.
So, all Israel had to do, there was no military necessity, These hostages weren't being executed.
The only hostages that have died in Hamas are hostages who died because Israel fired missiles through one of the surviving hostages.
Talk about that, how she knows that Israeli missiles killed Israeli hostages.
The only hostages that died, died at the hands of the Israeli Defense Force.
All of these hostages could have been released simply by Israel agreeing to a ceasefire on terms that bring about an end to the conflict.
Israel wouldn't do this.
So you can't speak of military necessity.
There was political necessity and that's never a justification.
Just because Benjamin Netanyahu needs a shot in the arm doesn't ever justify this.
What made this assault a crime?
Under international humanitarian law, under the laws of war, under the Geneva Conventions, proportionality is a factor that has to be brought into play when talking about carrying out strikes that could result in civilian casualties.
The law of war doesn't say that you can't kill civilians.
What it says is that the losses of civilians must be In proportion to the military gain achieved by the operation.
And since I already told you, there was no military imperative here, no military gain.
That means that no civilians could be killed.
There's no reason to kill any, let alone over 200, you know, plus, I mean, I don't know what the exact number is now over just over 240, I think, dead.
No, that's unacceptable.
And it's not just, here's the interesting thing, it's not just me saying this or the International Court of Justice or the International Criminal Court.
In 2004, the Israeli Supreme Court, the Israeli Supreme Court, talked about proportionality, saying that Israel doesn't have a right to go in and carry out operations that will result in, you know, significant civilian life, you know, and ignore the proportionality A question.
And so we have a massive war crime that took place.
There's no defending this whatsoever.
There's not a court of jurisdiction that if it took up this case, wouldn't find against Israel here, because literally there's no aspect of this that meets the proportionality aspect of it.
But there's... In addition, of course, they used subterfuge.
They came in in Red Crescent vehicles.
That's also a war crime.
Scott Ritter is so good.
And of course, this had to do with why he wasn't allowed to go to St.
Petersburg to speak to the international forum there convened by Vladimir Putin, where Putin made very clear Russia was willing to come to terms of peace in Ukraine, provided they
Uh, retain control of the provinces that they already controlled, that Ukraine withdrew its forces still fighting there, and that Ukraine agreed not to become a member of NATO.
Which, of course, has been a fundamental motivation behind the whole conflict in the first place, since Russia could not tolerate having another NATO nation on its border.
They're a very substantial border with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Mike Whitney reports, Israel agrees to cease fire as long as it can keep fighting.
Good news!
Israel has agreed to accept Biden's ceasefire deal as long as it can keep fighting.
This is from CNN.
Israeli statement on Tuesday indicated it was poised to formally sign up to the current ceasefire plan for Gaza while at the same time maintain the freedom to keep fighting.
I mean, give me a break!
Can you see how absurd it is?
It's like the fat man who agrees to go on a diet as long as he can continue to eat as much as he wants.
It's nonsense.
A ceasefire is a ceasefire.
A termination of hostilities brings an end to the fighting period.
Israel's lawyerly wordplay does not change the meaning of the word or twist it of Israel's strategic agenda.
It's a semantic gymnastics intended to hoodwink the public.
Don't let yourself be played.
Meanwhile, we have a former Israeli commander be mourning that Hezbollah has seized control of a major part of Israel.
You just want to cry.
Ex-Israeli commander says Galilee lost Hezbollah.
Press TV.
A former Israeli military commander has ignored defeat in a war with Hezbollah, saying the resistance movement has established a security zone in the northern border with Lebanon.
You have to run tall.
A major general in Israel's occupying army was quoted as saying that Israel has lost control over the Galilee region adjacent to the Lebanese border.
And a populated town in the north has been evacuated by settlers.
Hezbollah has established a security zone inside Israel.
Ron Tull said, instead of being in southern Lebanon, it's now in northern Israel.
We are losing the Galilee.
Most people will not return.
The former Israeli commander added.
I was in Curiat, Shimona, yesterday.
It's a ghost town.
It's an abandoned war zone.
The only thing you can see there is animals.
You just want to cry, of course.
You want to cry.
Well, cry all you want.
Hezbollah can make a hell of a bigger deal than that.
Meanwhile, there's a report Israeli lobby is real.
Here's how it works.
We gotta figure out how to get there.
Here goes.
...the horrific and unfounded allegations about Judaism and finance and money.
They are, you know, fueling the anti-Semitic idea because of the way that they are refusing to acknowledge the fact that nowadays, in order to support Israel, you have to probably bribe people.
Whereas in the past, you probably could have convinced them morally that what they're doing is right.
Things are so bad now.
They're so bad, you need money, influence, intimidation, whatever.
I've been working in the media now for more than 10 years, and there are some things that if you mention them, people start to get a little bit hot under the collar.
One of them is the existence of an Israel lobby, a Zionist lobby.
If you say those words, some people immediately accuse you of anti-Semitism.
I know, because it's happened to me.
But there is, without doubt, beyond any dispute whatsoever, an Israel lobby.
It's real.
What's more, it's very old and it certainly exists on both sides of the Atlantic.
Author Ilan Pape is without doubt one of the best historians on Israel-Palestine out there and in his new book he looks at the lobby in both the UK and the US over the last century and a half.
It's an extraordinary book and I think some of the details will shock you.
Ilan Pape, welcome to Downstream.
Thank you.
Nice to be here.
Thank you.
It's great to have you on.
I've been a huge fan of your work for a very long time.
Thank you.
Hugely impressive, influential historian.
Today we're talking about your new book, Lobbying for Zionism.
I just spoke a moment ago, before the camera started rolling, how there are coffee stains on it.
That's fine.
It's a good sign.
It's a good sign.
The book has been At least the cover was red.
Yeah, exactly.
I enjoyed it immensely.
I mean, it's more than 500 pages.
Yeah, I do apologize for that.
But it's very readable.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There was no other way of doing it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it's what we could we could have done a series, frankly, on the content in here.
Lobbying for Zionism on both sides of the Atlantic.
So we're talking about, obviously, the Israel lobby, the Zionist lobby prior to the formation of Israel.
But in two countries over more than 100 years.
That's right.
So it's almost America as they're short in a way.
Exactly.
It's the concept.
Yeah, I think of America as a colony of Israel.
And you got him right.
Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau is swarmed by a furious mob in Hamilton, Ontario.
You see, he's They're very upset with Trudeau.
Furious, furious, furious.
Intent scene as Justin Trudeau gets swarmed.
Yeah, well, I think we're going to see a lot more of that.
Meanwhile, and this is non-trivial, China deploys 90 warships with terrifying firepower.
Taiwan invasion in the offing?
I would say yes.
Putting to sea a fleet of 90 ships is a massive undertaking.
A very large naval force with aircraft carriers, a helicopter carrier, a total of 90 warships have been mobilized by China in the South China and Yellow Seas.
A fact that has alarmed the U.S.
Naval Command because of Taiwan.
China's top fighter and surface ships have been deployed together for the first time in the South Sea.
These are the three state-of-the-art Type 055 destroyers They identify by name.
They practice on precision strikes, anti-submarine warfare, and air defense exercises.
It is rare for the People's Liberation Army to deploy three Type 055 anti-ship guided missiles in one training with a question mark mission.
Yes, I do not believe this is a training mission either.
Also spotted in the South China Sea with a Type 075 LHD class helicopter carrier.
I was stationed on the Iwo Jima in Kaohsiung Harbor, Taiwan, when I was awakened at 3.30 in the morning by the officer of the deck, who was the executive officer of the mortar battery, of which I was a fire direction officer, to tell me that JFK had been shot.
And then he awakened me an hour later and told me they'd caught the guy who'd done it.
He was a communist.
I thought, man, that was pretty fast work.
Who would know that?
All these decades later, I would know exactly why.
This is fascinating.
China checks and tests a plan to invade Taiwan.
Americans have detected for days transfer of forces missile systems on the coast of China opposite Taiwan.
Transfers are always made during the night.
I'm telling you, it's coming.
China is going to use our preoccupation with Gaza on the one hand, and Ukraine on the other, to take Taiwan.
Meanwhile, Candace Owens reports on Twitter.
What a good person she is.
I am so... Like, you know, it seems like our country is being held hostage by Israel.
OK, I'm going to get in so much trouble for that.
I don't even care.
It's something's cracking.
It's catalyzing, the conversation is moving because we are seeing people that are having their entire livelihoods destroyed for critiquing a foreign nation!
That is an absurdity!
You know what's an absurdity?
Think about this.
In 2020, the United States government announced that it was considering banning the Chinese social media platform TikTok.
That was upon a request from then-President Donald Trump.
He viewed TikTok as a national security threat.
We signed an executive order that same year banning TikTok.
In just 45 days, if it was not sold.
And, guess what happened?
That executive order got blocked.
The app survived!
Until... Tick tock, good.
Oops.
Step back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.

But did you know that it was an inside job?
That Osama had nothing to do with it?
That the Twin Towers were blown apart by a sophisticated arrangement of mini or micro nukes?

Barry Jennings was there.
