Meanwhile, Russia continues to bombard Ukraine with its missiles, rockets, Fourteen MLRS and six Neptune in a single day.
A Ukrainian ground commander declares his troops are on active defense.
What he really means is they're cowering in their foxholes and scared shitless.
General Colonel General Alexander Circle, a commander of Ukraine's ground forces, says that his troops are on active advance as Ukrainian forces are no longer attempting to gain territory after the failed counter offensive.
Our goals remain unchanged, holding our positions.
Exhausting the enemy by inflicting maximum losses, he told Reuters.
Well, that's, of course, ridiculous.
The losses, which are maximal, are being sustained by Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the West is still trying to find a way to steer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.
This is just outrageous.
This is disgusting.
This is illegitimate.
It's been nearly two years.
Since the U.S.
and its allies froze hundreds of billions in Russian foreign holdings in retaliation for Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, that's roughly $300 billion in Russian central bank money sitting untapped as the war grinds on, while officials from multiple countries have debated the legality of sending the money to Ukraine.
Yeah idea of using russian for an asset to gain a new traction lately as a continued allied funding is frustrated including by.
The republicans so we're gonna have a later story regarding the developments there.
But it appears to be completely illegal and it's gonna undermine confidence in any financing having to do with the US because.
For all you know, if you have a falling out, the U.S.
will just take your money and do whatever the hell it wants to do with it, regardless of the law.
The reasons laws are supposed to be followed, they ensure a form of trust between nations that adhere to them, mechanisms for dealing with disputes, and a way to regulate commerce.
Meanwhile, the United States continues its stupidity against the Houthis, launching more strikes.

Central Command claimed it hit Houthi anti-ship missiles.
U.S.
forces struck and destroyed four Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles prepared to launch from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
But later in the day, The Houthis were able to target a Greek-owned ship in the Red Sea despite the U.S.
strikes.
We're doing nothing good here regarding the Houthis.
It's just colossal stupidity.
Meanwhile, anti-war reports.
The U.S.
has re-designated the Houthis as specially designated globalists, global terrorists, right?
This is like designating the Republicans as specially designated domestic terrorists.
They're just throwing these words around.
This is just more bullshit.
After all, remember, the Houthis declared war on Israel.
They were only interdicting ships that had Israeli-bound cargo.
That was all in accordance with international law.
They declared if Israel would stop starving and slaughtering the Palestinians, they would cease their interdiction.
Nothing about that makes them specially designated global terrorists.
The Biden admin Wednesday announced it was re-designating Houthis-Yemens as a specially designated terrorist group, a move that could complicate aid deliveries in Yemen and make these between the Saudis and the Houthis more difficult.
Biden had lifted the designation on the Houthis in February 2021, as well as that of being a foreign terrorist organization, which had been implemented by the Trump admin.
Both come with economic sanctions.
But the FTO is considered more harsh and would essentially criminalize delivering aid to Houthi-controlled Yemen, where 70 to 80 percent of the Yemenis live.
This is just outrageous.
This is improper.
This is not warranted.
It's another form of terrorism, not by the Houthis, but by the United States.

How Biden can stop Houthi missile attacks without risking war.
There's a simple reason why U.S.
and U.K.
military strikes against Yemen's Houthis will not achieve their objective of reopening the crucial Red Sea lanes for international shipping.
Who these don't have to succeed in striking additional commercial vessels or even successfully retaliate against us military ships all they need to do is try.
That's enough to sustain a de facto shipping blockade of the red sea.
Through which a staggering 12% of global trade flows, many Western commercial vessels will simply not risk moving their ships through those waters, not in spite of Biden's military strike, but now because of them.
The irony is evidence that the wealthiest nation in the world bombs one of the poorest.
Biden, by escalating tensions with the Iran-backed Houthis, has inadvertently bolstered the militant group's ability to disrupt international shipping.
The Houthis had managed to increase the cost of container shipping in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war by launching missile attacks at cargo ships passing through the wider ways, but as I've said, headed for Israel.
But the Biden admin's retaliatory strikes have turned off shipping company, perhaps irrevocably, until the war ends because they've increased the range of targets.
But time suggests it's what the Houthis want and have declared they'll discontinue if Israel stops slaughtering the Palestinians.

What do they do?

So we're talking about the West Bank in particular.

This phenomenon in late November began when two Israeli officers were dismissed for reportedly running away, along with their unit, from the Gaza battlefield, claiming they did not receive support after being ambushed by dozens of Palestinian fighters.
This time, however, nearly half of a newly formed battalion simply refused to go to Gaza, claiming lack of training, according to a Hazet Hayom report on Wednesday.
How appropriate.
After all, they're losing to the Hamas.
They're going to be slaughtered.

South Africa may have given the world court a way out of ruling that Israel is plausibly committing genocide and assaults as attacks, writes Joe Loria.
In its defense last Friday before the World Court against allegation by South Africa that it's committed genocide in Gaza and must be stopped, Israel made a legal argument that could torpedo the case if the court buys it.
In order for a claim to reach the International Court of Justice, there must be an established dispute between two states.
Israel's argument is that such a dispute was never established, and thus the ICJ lacks jurisdiction to hear South Africa's claim.
There would be a political outcry from those who seek to stop the ongoing slaughter if the court were to dismiss on this technicality.
Given the pressure that the court is no doubt feeling, however, from the U.S., Germany, and other allies of Israel, it might be the best, if not the only way, for the court to escape without having to decide that it's merely plausible that Israel is committing genocide.
That is a bar that needs to be met at the preliminary stage of the case where the court issued provisional measures to order Israel to cease its military operation.
Thursday, South Africa tried to build a case, probably in anticipation of Israel bid.
This was indeed a dispute between Israel and South Africa and indeed belonged before the world court.
John Dugard, a South African professor of international law, told the court, The South African government repeatedly voiced its concerns in the Security Council and in public statements that Israel's actions have become genocidal.
On 10 November, in a formal diplomatic demarche, it informed Israel that while it condemned the actions of Hamas, it wanted the International Criminal Court to investigate the leadership of Israel for international crimes.
On 17 November, South Africa referred Israel's Commission of the Crime of Genocide to the International Criminal Court for a vigorous investigation.
In announcing the decision, President Ramaphosa publicly expressed his abhorrence for what is happening right now in Gaza, which has now turned into a concentration camp where genocide is taking place.
To accuse a state of committing acts of genocide and to condemn it in such wrong language is a major act on the part of a state.
At this stage, it became clear that there was a serious dispute between South Africa and Israel, which would only end with the end of Israel's genocidal acts.
South Africa repeated the accusation of meeting the BRICS on 21 November at an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on 12 December.
No response from Israel was forthcoming, but none was necessary.
By this time, the dispute has crystallized as a matter of law.
This was confirmed by Israel's official and unequivocal denial on 6 December, my birthday, that was committing genocide in Gaza.
I think the South Africans are suitably responding.
It's a real issue, but I think also the status of the International Court of Justice would be decimated.
If it were not to take the case and move forward.

Well, Israel is going to have very few friends in the world, mind you.
Meanwhile, I'm having wonders and doubts about how Speaker Mike Johnson Who claims, and this is by CBS reporting, CNBC actually, we have some consensus.

The question is, what are we going to do about the southern border?
They're claiming they had a productive meeting, but what does that mean?
We understand these things are important, but we must insist the border be the top priority, the speakers said.
I think we have some consensus around that table.
Schumer said the meeting showed there was agreement between Democrats and Republicans that additional aid for Ukraine and improved U.S.
border security are necessary.
Well, what are we going to get?
What kind of border security are we going to get?

Well, here are a couple of stories about how the system's being gamed and played.

New Hunter evidence erupts in D.C.
What the FBI really found.
Will we ever actually learn?
Many have wondered if the first son would get preferential treatment.
For a time, that looked to be the case.
But now, the drama surrounding Hunter has increased as the FBI revealed this bombshell discovery.
FBI investigators discovered powdered cocaine on the firearm pouch Hunter Biden had used to hold the gun he allegedly purchased in October 2018, DOJ prosecutors said in a Tuesday court filing.
Based on their trained experience, investigators believe that substance was likely cocaine.
The evidence would corroborate the messages investigators had obtained, showing the defendant buying and using drugs in October 2018, and FBI cameras subsequently analyzed the residue, determining it was cocaine.
They literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun.
Well, man, any clothing, any residence where Hunter has been, you'll find cocaine, even in the White House.
They claim they couldn't identify, but they know damn well who was responsible.
Here you have another Hunter bombshell regarding his laptop.
In a bombshell admission after years of denial, the DOJ has for the first time acknowledged the legitimacy of data from Hunter's controversial laptop.
In a recent court filing, they revealed that IRS and FBI investigators obtained a search warrant in 2019 for tax violations related to Hunter's Apple iCloud attack.
And provided backup data for various electronic devices.
Surprise, surprise.
There's so much other horrific crime on there.

Biden had lifted the designation on the Houthis in February 2021, as well as that of being a foreign terrorist organization, which had been implemented by the Trump admin.
Both come with economic sanctions.
But the FTO is considered more harsh and would essentially criminalize delivering aid to Houthi-controlled Yemen, where 70 to 80 percent of the Yemenis live.
This is just outrageous.

There would be a political outcry from those who seek to stop the ongoing slaughter if the court were to dismiss on this technicality.
Given the pressure that Korda is no doubt feeling, however, from the U.S., Germany, and other allies of Israel, it might be the best, if not the only way, for the Korda to escape without having to decide that it's merely plausible that Israel is committing genocide.
That is a bar that needs to be met at the preliminary stage of the case where the court issued provisional measures to order Israel to cease its military operation.
Thursday, South Africa tried to build a case, probably in anticipation of Israel bid.
This was indeed a dispute between Israel and South Africa and indeed belonged before the world court.
John Dugard, a South African professor of international law, told the court, The South African government repeatedly voices concerns in the Security Council and in public statements that Israel's actions have become genocidal.
On 10 November, in a formal diplomatic demarche, it informed Israel that while it condemned the actions of Hamas, it wanted the International Criminal Court to investigate the leadership of Israel for international crimes.
On 17 November, South Africa referred Israel's Commission of the Crime of Genocide to the International Criminal Court for a vigorous investigation.
In announcing the decision, President Ramaphosa publicly expressed his abhorrence for what is happening right now in Gaza, which has now turned into a concentration camp where genocide is taking place.
To accuse a state of committing acts of genocide and to condemn it in such wrong language is a major act on the part of a state.
At this stage, it became clear that there was a serious dispute between South Africa and Israel, which would only end with the end of Israel's genocidal acts.
South Africa repeated the accusation of meeting the BRICS on 21 November at an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on 12 December.
No response from Israel was forthcoming, but none was necessary.
By this time, the dispute has crystallized as a matter of law.
This was confirmed by Israel's official and unequivocal denial on 6 December, my birthday, that was committing genocide in Gaza.
I think the South Africans are suitably responding.
It's a real issue, but I think also the status of the International Court of Justice would be decimated.

Based on their trained experience, investigators believe that substance was likely cocaine.
The evidence would corroborate the messages investigators had obtained, showing the defendant buying and using drugs in October 2018, and FBI cameras subsequently analyzed the residue, determining it was cocaine.
They literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun.
Well, man, any clothing, any residence where Hunter has been, you find cocaine, even in the White House.
They claim they couldn't identify, but they know damn well who was responsible.
Here you have another Hunter bombshell regarding his laptop.
In a bombshell admission after years of denial, the DOJ has for the first time acknowledged the legitimacy of data from Hunter's controversial laptop.
In a recent court filing, they revealed that IRS and FBI investigators obtained a search warrant in 2019 for tax violations related to Hunter's Apple iCloud attack.
And provided backup data from various electronic devices.
Surprise, surprise.
There's so much other horrific crime on there.
