	This is that Jim Fetzer and Madison, Wisconsin, where I'm delighted to be joined by a healthy return from vacation, Giuseppe Vandulo from the District of Criminals, and Joe Olson from Houston, where Joe is virtually a regular on the show now.
	We want to bring you all the news you need to know.
	We begin with top scientists claiming Fauci has been untruthful about Chinese lab research.
	We've been reporting this, but now that it's getting out in larger venues, I think that Fauci is going to take serious, serious hits.
	The Intercept reported 900 new pages of previously undisclosed information from NIH.
	Which the Intercept obtained through a FOIA request, revealing that fieldwork involved high risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs while working in caves with high bat density.
	And I would say, we're working with bats.
	They were promoting gain of research.
	All the sort of thing that Fauci has been denying for years turned out to be true.
	Elbright concluded by accusing Fauci and NIH Director Francis Collins of being untruthful in their previous remarks on the matter.
	To put it mildly, they were lying.
	Here we have more.
	Dr. Anthony Tony the Rat Fauci has been accused by critics of lying after newly released documents appear to contradict his claims that the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research at China's Wuhan lab.
	Many of us have been reporting that that seemed not to be true, but it appears we now have documents that confirm it.
	Included in the trove of documents is a previously unpublished grant proposal of EcoHealth Alliance, run by Peter Daszak, filled with Fauci's National Institute requests and proposals.
	He repeatedly insists that NIH did not constitute lab grain-of-function research, which modifies a biological agent and, in the case of a virus, increases its transmissibility of virulence.
	But Surprise, surprise.
	Fauci lied again, and I was right about his agency funding novel coronavirus research at Wuhan, said Senator Rand Paul, after the documents were made public.
	Rand Paul has been very aggressive in pursuing Fauci, believing he was lying to the public, putting him on the spot, and has been hereby completely vindicated.
	Fauci clashed with Paul during a Senate hearing in July after the Kentucky senator quizzed the infectious disease expert about earlier testimony denying gain-of-function research.
	A proposal, however, acknowledged the risks of this research, saying fieldwork involves a highest risk of exposure to SARS or other COVIDs.
	The documents include a second grant entitled, Understand Risks of Zoonotic Virus Emergence in Emerging Infectious Disease Hotspots of Southeast Asia.
	Under the Terms and Conditions, there's a section noting, prior to further altering the mutant viruses, they need to be given a detailed description of the proposed alteration.
	Richard Engbright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers, said the documents make it clear Fauci had been untruthful about gain-of-function research.

	Right to Know, told The Intercept the documents provide a roadmap to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic.

	The UK halts giving COVID shots at children under the age of 16.
	European Union Health Authority said there's no urgent need for widespread use of COVID-19 vaccine booster shots, though those with weakened immune systems should be offered a third dose.
	The priority should now be vaccinating the roughly one-third of Europe's adults who are not fully inoculated.
	In addition, the UK's advisory board has refused to give the green light to vaccinating healthy children aged 12 to 15 on health grounds alone.
	They were at such low risk from the virus, jabs would offer only a marginal benefit.
	They shouldn't say more about the tremendous risk to which they would be thereby subjected.
	The UK's four chief medical officers have now been asked to have the final say to consider the wider impact on schools and society.

	Meanwhile, we have a Rutgers student stopped from taking virtual classes.

	This year, as a psychology major, he signed it up for all virtual classes.

	I don't find COVID scary.

	If someone wants to be vaccinated, that's fine with me, but I don't think they should be pushed, nor ought he to be punished.
	He called the university's vaccine hotline when he couldn't get onto his accounts and said he had to be vaccinated even if his classes were all remote.
	Days later, I called back.
	I hadn't received anything.
	They told me, unfortunately, they decided they would not grant waivers for anyone who'd put in for them past August 23rd, even though I was told I could get one with no problem on the 27th.
	This is absurd.
	The policy is so insane, you have to wonder what's really going on here.
	Since March, we have provided comprehensive information and direction to students to meet vaccine requirements through several communication channels, including our university website, direct email, messages relayed through registration and enrollment processes.

	Meanwhile, the CDC bases the COVID jab death toll percentage on doses, not people, as the death toll topples all other vaccines for three decades.

	In addition to documenting anyone who died with COVID who was in a car accident, had a gunshot wound, kidney failure, or other life-threatening diseases, those are all being lumped together as COVID deaths.
	They're now basing the percentage of jab-related deaths on the number of doses administered rather than the number of people who received the jabs.
	Next to the death toll, they point out 6,968 deaths amount to 0.0019% among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.
	That's amount to 0.0019% among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.
	But this is a totally false statement.
	They are basing it on the number of jabs.
	When most have already received both jabs, they indicate 363 million doses have been administered.
	Well, the U.S.

	Therefore, millions have received two doses.

	On a separate CD page, you can find the overall breakdown of how many people have received the jab, whether it's one dose or two, the critical number that plays into their incorrect math, a total of 203 people have received, considerably lower number than 363 million.

	The actual percentage is therefore substantially higher.

	The task force and health department officials have all stated they're including anyone who dies from a heart attack, stroke, car accident, gunshot wound, kidney failure, or any other cause of death as a COVID death.
	If they test positive with COVID pre or post-mortem, how absurd is that?
	Unfortunately, almost all people over a half a million have actually died.
	Why would it happen if they had the real number?

	Well, the COVID jab isn't the only that potentially results in death.
	Let's look at the comparison.
	The fact the COVID jabs have only been administered for eight months and nearly 7,000 deaths versus other vaccines that have been administered for decades.

	Just remember the very short period of time during which the COVID vaccines are being administered versus the decades of time for these other vaccines.
	While they continue to push safe and effective, Pfizer and Merck They're already working on antiviral pills that must be taken twice a day in conjunction with the jabs.
	Pfizer is so confident theirs will be approved, they're already producing them before clinical trials are finalized.
	Apparently, both drugs use technology that blocks the ability of the virus to replicate and spread further throughout the body.
	On another front, Gavi is raving about the holy grail of vaccines.
	It'll be a single vaccine to defeat all variants of coronavirus with the hopes of having it out within a year.

	So far, Omelinsky said more than 50 public labs are capable of sequencing coronavirus samples to detect variants.

	She's not aware of any labs that have completed the validation process, however, to get federal approval.
	To keep up with it in real time, when it does influence a decision you're going to make on how you treat a patient, just isn't very useful.
	A more concerning variant could push scientists to disclose information to patients.

	The move on vaccine passports came after a visual statistic showed COVID cases in the UK are continuing to climb.
	But we know it's easy to manufacture the number.

	And by turning it up, you can virtually guarantee a positive.
	Turning it down, a negative.
	Here you see an interesting discrepancy between the number of infections at the top and the number of deaths at the bottom, which reinforces the point I'm making.
	They can vary the number of infections arbitrarily.
	And of course, deaths per day, if that's from all causes, it might be accurate, but we know those being attributed to the coronavirus is an absurd number.
	The vaccine minister insisted no decisions have made about jabs for 12 to 15 year olds yet.
	He guaranteed parents will be asked for a consent.
	All bad.
	He vowed to do everything in his power to avoid another national lockdown.
	Johnson is expected to face considerable conservative rebellion if he pushes ahead with his vaccine passport plan.
	The government has faced mounting Tory backbunch anchor over the vaccine passport idea, with critics arguing they're unnecessary and infringe on individual freedom.
	Once we have the passports, it seems to me our freedom is doomed.
	We are going to be consigned to the status of slaves.

	Yet an overwhelming majority of civil servants are continuing to work from home, 80% in some departments, despite the government encouraging them to return to their offices.

	Legitimate side of the debate.
	That's a really good video to see.
	And then there was another one that's at Philosopher's Stone, and I will link that in the show notes or in the comments.

	And this guy absolutely rips Donald Trump and the fact that he kept Fauci and Briggs and Redfield and that he appointed Alex Azar, who was a lawyer, and Most successful lobbyist for Pfizer for 10 years before he became a board member of Pfizer for 10 years before he was appointed Health and Human Services Secretary.

	The Biden administration and CDC appear to be getting great support for the idea of vaccine passports from big businesses.
	But the question is whether the government is coercing these companies into adopting the passports in exchange for some favors or bailouts down the road.
	Will the government lower the hammer on airlines, private companies, and local bus and rail services, publicly funded and or subsidized, and hold funding over their heads if they don't implement a password system?
	Plain and simple, this is medical martial law.
	Historically, totalitarian and authoritarian states have used the power of fear to engineer compliance of the people.

	I always hoped for a better outcome, but I'm also realistic enough to know this is real trouble brewing.

	In many cases, people invoke science to tell people what they must do.
	Planners pretend their plans are scientific, and there cannot be disagreement with regard to those who are well-intentioned and decent.
	But the fact is that, as Mises was emphasizing, science can tell us positive facts.
	It can tell us what would happen if we were to adopt certain policies, but cannot tell us whether we ought to adopt those policies.
	Science can only tell us what is, not ought.
	There is no such thing as a scientific ought.
	Science is competent to establish what is.
	Science can never dictate what ought to be and what ends people should aim for.

	Men disagree and value judgments.

	The proposals offered by Thunberg and Gates, who also said government should just listen to the scientists, may be good ones or may be bad.
	The key to understand is their proposals entail value judgments, not merely science.
	In 2020, we repeatedly sought pleas to listen to the science, but the fundamental disagreement over COVID was not over science, but how to deal with it.
	A new and deadly virus had emerged.
	The primary disagreement is what action should be taken to limit the spread, who should implement them, and whether They should be coerced.
	Many of the issues Americans face were complicated.
	If social distancing saves lives, should businesses be ordered closed?
	If so, which?
	What should be done if people aren't social distancing?
	Should sick people be physically confined?
	What about healthy people?
	Assuming face coverings limit the spread, should they be recommended or forced?
	What happens when people refuse?
	These are important questions, but again, they are ethical, not scientific questions.
	Science is merely a tool that can help us to reach decisions, especially by providing us information about cause and effect.
	Complex ethical problems demand solution.

	Mechon pointed out, for every complex problem, there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
	Outsourcing our complex ethical problems to people with prestigious degrees may be simple, but it's also wrong.
