That's right.
Which is strange, but he's from Chicago.
That's right.
I don't know how he's living there, but I want to know the facts of how he does it.

I've heard all about you.
Well, let me say something first.
The first person I ever heard prophesy was Chuck Flynn on PTL.
Oh, my.
Dr. Chuck Flynn.
First person I ever heard prophesy.
Yeah, he's dead.
A boy.
Yes.
That's a long time ago.
Absolutely.
I was going to ask, oh, Jarwin, you look young, but anyhow, you live in Chicago.
Yes, sir.
And tell us about your ministry there.
Well, we have a ministry that has been ministering for, I've been pastoring now for over 40 years.
Oh, you're not old, are you?
Yes.
And it's the inner city ministry, but we operate very strongly in the ministry of deliverance, the prophetic ministry, the supernatural, the presence of God.
It is something very unusual right in the heart of the city.
You know, if you told me, and I'm serious, Mondo, you know, I believe you're 25 if you told me that.
Yes.
Thank you, sir.
But you have to be older if you did all those things.
Yes, it's been an amazing, amazing journey for many, many years.
And I'm still moving strong.
Still moving strong in the city of Chicago.
And we've been around the world too.
I've ministered in over 80 nations.
I've written over 80 books.
Oh, my.
I've been quite busy during that time.
Oh, I wish you could have been here in person.
But I'm thrilled.
Well, I love Skyping.

But Apostle John Eckhart, I'm thrilled to meet you.
I want to read your books.
I just got them.

That's right.

That book is really a book for people who are in trouble, who need a miracle.
Is that everybody almost?
Yes, sir.
Yes, that's quite a number of people.
Yes, sir.
I need this book.
I'm going to take it home and read it.
I just got it.
Yeah.
But I would encourage you to read it.
There's some good prayers and decrees, confessions in that book.
Also, some good teaching as well to stir the faith of people to believe God for miracles.
Well, I usually have all my life.
I've read all the books.
And Ricky has my library.
Haven't I read a lot of books?
You've read hundreds and hundreds, not thousands of books.
And authors always say, Jim, you don't read my books.
I say, yes, I do.
I'll tell you, I want to read this book.
I'm having a real problem right now.
I'm not reading it, but I'm on the air, so I better let the author tell me what's in the book.
But desperate prayers for desperate times.
We are in desperate times.
A lot of people are suffering.
A lot of people are having challenges, crisis.
As a matter of fact, I've just done a teaching called Miracle in the Middle.
In the middle of a crisis, the middle of trouble, the middle of a situation, you can receive a miracle.
It's based on where two or three are gathered together.
I'm in the midst.
I'm in the middle.
That Jesus will come in the middle of your situation, the middle of your problem, the middle of your crisis, and give you a miracle.
I usually preach that during the middle of the year.
And we're kind of a little past the middle of the year now, but in the middle.
Sometimes we talk about the beginning, we talk about the end, but we forget the middle.
But the middle is the place for a miracle.
In the middle of your situation, you can receive a miracle.
Wow.
Listen to chapter two.
That's so powerful.
This is so on time.
When I saw this book on the desk yesterday, I said, this is the book for us right now.
By my ministry, we are in desperate need of survival.
I mean, I've been on the air for 60, 70 years, and the devil has tried to kill me from the day I walked out.
But greater is he that's in us than he that's in the world.
But these are desperate times.
I've never seen it like this before.
I keep wanting to call you Bishop.
Is Bishop higher than Apostle?
It's like we're the greatest among equals, but he's apostle, Apostle John.
Apostle, can you tell me more about this?
This book, the subject of desperate prayers for desperate people.
People watching this show, everybody meets today is desperate.
Yeah.
Is that right, Ricky?
That's right.
Well, we're living in desperate times.
That's right.
It says.
Are people desperate in their life?
That's right.
They're desperate in their prayer life, desperate in their finances, desperate in their family life.
People are all around facing desperation, but that doesn't mean that we have to be despaired because we have prayers we can pray.
Isn't that right, Apostle?
Yes, one of the stories I look at is Hannah.
Hannah was desperate for a child.
She was barren.
She really prayed a desperate prayer.
And as a result, God opened her womb and gave her a son by the name of Samuel.
He became one of Israel's greatest prophets.
So in a moment of desperation, she prayed so hard until Eli the priest thought she was drunken, but she was really desperate.
She was crying out.
She was crying out to God and really, really believing for a miracle.
And I believe that we're in that time when people like Hannah will pray in desperation and call out to God, and God will give them miracles just like he did Hannah.
I want to know how you touch people, how you know how they feel.
Bishop, I don't know if you ever met Bishop Ronnie Webb.
He's a member of our board.
He's one of my best friends.
And I think he would love you.
Do you have a church, Bishop?
Yes, sir.
We have a church on the south side of Chicago.
And we have really two churches in Chicago, one on the west side of Chicago and one on the south side of Chicago.
How can people get to your church?
They're going to want to come to your church.
Yes, we're on the south side of Chicago, 3821 South Michigan.
And we have quite a number of people that we've trained to pray for people.
We have deliverance teams, healing teams, prophetic teams, people that I've trained to minister.
And so we've had thousands of people to come to our altars and receive personal ministry, whether it's deliverance, whether it's healing, whether it's salvation, whether it's being baptized in the Holy Spirit, whether it's receiving prophetic ministry.
And that way we're able to minister to quite a number of people and give them a personal touch by laying hands on them and praying for them one-on-one by the teams that we have developed.
I want to ask you, Apostle, I'm going to get the right name for you, Apostle.
How many people have you found that some preachers told them God doesn't love them?
And you're having to tell them that God loves them.
There's pastors that are broken and hurting that needs your message.
When they hit a wall and they think God's not there anymore, he's still there.
What do you do?
Well, one of the things I believe is very important is the prophetic ministry.
Many of them need prophetic ministry.
They need to hear a word from the Lord.
In 1 Corinthians chapter 14, it says, he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, exhortation, and comfort.
Sometimes we exhort them, we comfort them, we build them up through a prophetic word.
So prophecy is one of the things that we have really, really taught and emphasized and flowed in.
And sometimes people just need a word from the Lord that will encourage them, build them up, let them know that God is with them.
God is on their side.
God loves them.
God is there.
God will do great things for them.
I've seen that gift, when it manifests, really break a doubt, unbelief that many leaders have concerning whether or not God is really concerned about them in their situation.
And that's one of the most powerful gifts.
No wonder it says in 1 Corinthians 14, of all the gifts, desire to prophesy and cover to prophesy, because it is a gift that really does bring such supernatural encouragement.
It brings such supernatural building, comfort to individuals.
And it's one gift that I've found.
And I've ministered to thousands of pastors and thousands of leaders around the world.
And a word from God, one word can set you free.
The scripture says in Psalm 103, he sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.
So there's power in the prophetic word.
There's power in prophetic utterances.
And I found that to be one of the most amazing manifestations of God's love, God's power, and God's favor in the lives of people, even when they don't believe that God is there.
They get confirmed, they get strengthened, they get blessed, they get reassured, they get renewed, they get refreshed.
It is really one of the most amazing things I've seen.
And we continue to do that on a continual basis.

Would you please talk about desperate prayers that move heaven?
Can you talk about it for a minute?
Well, God does respond to desperation.
God does respond to people who cry out to him.
You know, one of the things you find in the book of Psalms is the continual phrase, I cried unto the Lord and he heard me and delivered me.
So crying out to God, I believe sometimes people don't really get responses from heaven because they're not desperate enough.
They don't cry out enough.
God always acknowledges people that cry out in desperation, that really have a passion and a zeal to touch him and to receive an answer.
You cannot be nonchalant.
You cannot be apathetic when it comes to receiving a miracle.
The Bible says it's the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous that avails much.
So being fervent, being strong, crying out to God, showing emotion and passion from the heart.
God never overlooks that.
When Jesus was passing through a town, there was a blind man that cried out.
They tried to silence him.
And he kept crying out, Have mercy on me, O son of David.
And Jesus came and eventually opened his blind eyes because he was desperate.
He wouldn't allow the people to quiet him.
He cried out the more and he received one of the greatest miracles in the Bible, his eyesight being restored.
I want to spend a few hours with you.
And you got to give to the world because, you know, when Billy Graham died, Franklin told us that all hell is going to come on earth.
That's right.
But God has spoken to me that God is not going to replace Billy Graham with one man.
It's going to take many men.
And you can be one of those men, I believe.
I believe you're one of them.
But I'm telling you, it's Psalms 34:6.
In my desperation, I prayed, and the Lord listened, and he saved me from all my troubles.
People are, they think it's emotional to pray louder.
But, you know, Apostle, I'm old-fashioned, and I like when the Holy Ghost sets your feet to dance and you can dance around the church or whatever.
I don't know.
But I believe God wants us to get emotional.
He wants us to say, I need you, God.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, you know, God gave us emotion.
Emotion is not something that we don't live without.
We have emotion.
And sometimes we've been taught that we should not use our emotion.
But the scripture talks about joy.
It talks about praise.
It talks about shouting.
It talks about crying out.
It talks about individuals that were in dire straits and desperation.
And they used their emotions when they were crying out to God.
And God does respond to that.
God sees that.
God sees what is in a person's heart by whether they're weeping.
The scripture says weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
So there is weeping.
There is crying.
It doesn't mean that we always live like that.
We're always weeping and crying, but it is a part of scripture.
And what I love about the Psalms is that you see so much emotion in the Psalms of David when he was crying out to God.
David went through so many difficulties and so many troubles.
And yet when he wrote those psalms, he didn't hide his emotions.
And we can still read those today and know that the same emotions, the same troubles that David experienced, we can experience, but the same miracles that he experienced, we can also receive those miracles too.
Amen.
Apostle John, you need to shout it.
Nobody wants to shout anymore.

Listen, we're at the end of the world.
The end of the time.
Jesus is coming back.
Can I ask you, have you read all of Revelation?
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
I've read that book many, many times.
Well, I can't, I can't tell you.
I can't tell you that it's going to get better and better.
And that's why people call me an apostle of doom or something, or minister of doom.
But I believe we're in the end times.
you know, I don't, I want people to be saved, get right with God, go to heaven.
And you said desperate prayers are needed more today.

I was praying that God would give you a word for this ministry because we need it.
All right, Father, I thank you for this ministry, Lord.
And you see the miracles that they need, the breakthroughs that they need.
The Lord says, I've done it for you in the past.
I can do it for you again.
You've seen my miracles over and over and over in past seasons.
And I am the same today, yesterday, and forever.
And even as you hear my voice today, I've come to let you know that I will not forsake you during this time.
A New Wind of Strength 00:09:38
As you said, toward the latter part of your life, I have seen your sacrifices.
I have seen your faithfulness over the years.
I've seen the things you've gone through, and yet you did not deny me.
You did not turn away from me, but you continue to present me as the only means of salvation to the world.
And the Lord says, now I speak unto you, a new wind that shall come upon you.
A new wind shall cover you.
A new wind shall blow toward you, a wind of refreshing, a wind of strength.
And even as you've begun to talk about desperate prayers for desperate times, the Lord said, I will not forget you in your desperation, but I will even come now in a new way, in a fresh way.
And my word is coming, even the birth new things for you, says the Lord.
The Lord says, you've known many preachers.
You've known many ministries.
You've encountered many different anointings and many different giftings.
But now you're in need of one for yourself.
And now I've come even to blow upon you, to give you new strength and to cause you to see my glory in a new way that you've never seen before.
Do not fear the attack of the enemy.
Do not fear the attack of darkness as you stood in the past upon that scripture.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
You stood upon that scripture in the past and now begin to proclaim it that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
And every tongue that shall come against you, it shall be brought to naught.
It shall be condemned.
And so rise up in faith and grab that word and decree that word and believe that word and watch as I put a wall of fire and a wall of protection around you, a wall of fire to prevent the arrows of darkness from penetrating into your life and into your loved ones.
Get ready for the wall of fire.
I am placing around you a new wall of fire, a new wall of fire, a new wall of fire shall be your portion, and you shall know my divine protection and my divine sustenance in this hour.
So get ready for I speak concerning resources and concerning what the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy and steal away that heritage.
That heritage I've given you.
I've given you the word heritage and now he wants to steal that word heritage.
But I give you the ability to leave a heritage to your children and your children's children and those descendants that you're responsible for.
So release that heritage and release that legacy in the earth, even concerning Christian television, a legacy, a legacy, a legacy.
You talked about Billy Graham leaving a legacy.
And so this is the day in which a legacy shall be revealed.
And you will not pass the earth without releasing a legacy, without leaving a legacy.
I speak my word over you now.
I release it now over you as the Spirit of God gives it to me.
A word to encourage you, to build you up, but a word to bring deliverance and to release miracles in your life.
Even now, I decree it and I speak it prophetically in Jesus' name.

That's what I needed.
I heard to hear from God.
And I talk to him every day, but you are truly an apostle.
Bishop Ron Webb said that Apostle was going to have a word for this ministry.
He did.
Good.
He said it yesterday.
He said, That man of God that is coming on the show is going to have a word for you, for this ministry, for this family.
Amen.
And take that word.
He said the same word that Bishop said yesterday: one word from God can change everything.
Amen.
And I believe you just did that, Apostle.

I didn't think about that word.
I forgot that you even had that word in something you built.
But I heard that word heritage so strong as I began to prophesy.
And there are many people watching even now.
The same word is coming to you that God wants you to leave a heritage in the earth.
Even those that are older, leave a heritage through your prayers, through your ministries.
Preachers leave a heritage for generations to come.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
Let the wealth of the wicked come into the hands of God's people, into the hands of ministries.
What the wicked have gathered, let them give to them that are good before God, according to Ecclesiastes 2.26.
What they gather and heap up, let them give it to him that is good before God.
I decree that and declare that over you by faith in Jesus' name.
Oh, I'm looking forward for tomorrow because you're going to be backwards, but our time's gone.
But I want you to support this ministry.
I want you to stand with my boys, and I want you to stand with God's people.
And we're going to, it's the best years are yes ahead, Jack.
Amen.
The best is yet to come.
This is what God told me.
That's right.
Even for me.
And if you're old, don't give up.
We need old people.
We need mature people in God, people that love God.

But we're desperate because I've been sick for a year and a half, but I'm coming back.
I may not be able to speak as good, but I'm.
You've suffered what, 12 strokes over the last few years, but I got it in me.
It won't come out.
The gospel.
That's all I am is a preacher.
And God called me to found Christian television.

And we're not going under.
We're going over for God.
