Joseph's Forgiveness Journey
00:13:52
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Our special guest today is Bishop Ron Webb. | |
| Our co-hosts today are Pastor Ricky Baker and Reverend Mondo de la Vega. | |
| And now, here is your host, Pastor Jim Baker. | |
| Hello, everybody. | |
| This is Jim Baker and Ricky Baker. | |
| That's right. | |
| I wanted to be Doc Mondo, but he got married to a beautiful lady and had two fabulous kids. | |
| Yes. | |
| God's provision. | |
| And I believe that. | |
| We all believe in together. | |
| Do you remember? | |
| 27 years. | |
| Can you believe that, people? | |
| Yeah. | |
| Wow. | |
| Amazing. | |
| Unbelievable. | |
| Through the valleys, through the ups and downs. | |
| And boy, you've came through a lot. | |
| A lot. | |
| And you've got a lot to tell people and teach people, and you've got a lot to teach people. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| And we're going to stand together. | |
| And this ministry right now needs help to keep the message on the air because Jesus is coming soon and the devil's mad. | |
| Yes. | |
| They used to sing, and I'm glad. | |
| Well, I'm not glad the devil's mad because I want the devil mad, but I'm not going to be happy. | |
| I want to talk to you about your giving. | |
| You really need to help. | |
| I know you want to turn TV off now, but without God's people, we can't. | |
| Nobody can have a ministry. | |
| All of Christian television is going through trouble because the devil hates Christian television. | |
| One of the greatest revivals came through Christian television. | |
| That's right. | |
| And we cannot forget that that revival is still impacting lives today, Bishop. | |
| I have met pastors. | |
| I've met people all over the world that were touched by the power that God used through Christian television for years and years. | |
| And Christian television today is facing one of the most difficult moments that it goes back when you started. | |
| The devil's trying to destroy Christian television. | |
| And I helped start it. | |
| So I don't want it. | |
| I don't want it to go under. | |
| But the biggest ones are having trouble right now. | |
| Everybody's having trouble. | |
| Almost. | |
| I know. | |
| Probably some are perfect. | |
| Special guest is here with us today. | |
| Bishop. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Ron Webb. | |
| Bless you, Pastor Jim. | |
| We're writing a book. | |
| Yes, yes, we are. | |
| And that's the first book I've written in a long time, but I'm writing it with you. | |
| I'm so excited. | |
| I want to write another dozen of them. | |
| Yes, let's get through this first one. | |
| Yeah. | |
| My co-writer of the past, one of the great men of God, is writing with us. | |
| Yes, he is. | |
| And all he does is correct our English and, you know, help us a little bit. | |
| But it's going to be you and me and him and me. | |
| It's the greatest book I've ever written. | |
| And I've only written a part of it. | |
| You're writing most of it, I think. | |
| Well, the amazing stories that's in the book. | |
| And I believe it's going to be the number one recipe for restoration among Christians. | |
| Tell them what the basis is. | |
| The basis of the book. | |
| Oh, it's forgiveness and letting go of things. | |
| People are holding it. | |
| Church people aren't doing it. | |
| Do you all love each other here? | |
| Yes. | |
| I also. | |
| Because a lot of church people are mad at each other. | |
| Right. | |
| Oh, sister sat in my chair and I'm mad or something. | |
| You know. | |
| Yes. | |
| It's the small thing, Pastor. | |
| You've seen it. | |
| Oh, absolutely. | |
| And these things, it's the little foxes. | |
| That spoils the vine. | |
| That spoils the vine. | |
| And people say, well, they're little foxes. | |
| Well, it doesn't make any difference. | |
| They're still spoiling the vine. | |
| And it has caused a rift in the body of Christ. | |
| People are not speaking to one another. | |
| Families are divided. | |
| Ministries are divided. | |
| And homes are being divided. | |
| Brothers and sisters are being divided because of unforgiveness. | |
| And if you don't get a hold of that, it turns to bitterness. | |
| And Paul warns us about a root of bitterness. | |
| I believe it's the number one thing in the body of Christ right now. | |
| You'll go to hell if you don't forgive. | |
| Yes. I think one of the most... | |
| But you have to forgive. | |
| Madam Mondo, do you forgive everybody? | |
| You have to. | |
| I try to. | |
| I mean, you have to. | |
| They test you. | |
| Yeah, but you're getting hurt by some people in your life. | |
| Listen, the thing is, people test you. | |
| People test the Bible in you. | |
| People test your salvation. | |
| See, people test you, Bishop. | |
| But here's the key. | |
| Jesus says, if you don't forgive, you cannot be forgiven. | |
| Did you hear that? | |
| Anybody? | |
| Raise your hand if you heard that. | |
| Oh, man. | |
| Oh, only two people. | |
| To me, that's the most powerful thing. | |
| See, the church just turned this off, right? | |
| Yeah. | |
| If you don't forgive, you're not going to be forgiven. | |
| Yeah. | |
| I forgive everybody. | |
| That's the only reason I can stay alive. | |
| I've been hurt by so much. | |
| I don't care. | |
| And I give it to Jesus. | |
| I know when I stand before God, he's going to say, I'm going to take care of you now. | |
| And he takes care of me now. | |
| Genesis 41:35. | |
| That's the beginning of the book. | |
| Joseph set up a storehouse. | |
| Listen to me. | |
| They should collect all the food of these good years. | |
| And we've had some good years now, even though it's getting really bad. | |
| I mean, oh, my God. | |
| I don't even mind talking to you about it because I don't want to scare you. | |
| But God said controls. | |
| God's time has come. | |
| The end is here. | |
| Yes. | |
| And Ricky's going to let me come back and teach it once in a while or every day. | |
| I might be every day. | |
| Please. | |
| As long as I don't have another stroke, but you'll put me up and carry me out. | |
| I know that. | |
| We'll prop you up and put the mic back in your hands. | |
| How many times do you pick me up? | |
| A couple of times. | |
| I mean, I fell this week in your office. | |
| You picked me up. | |
| Well, you weren't there, but I tried to walk across and I fell. | |
| I'm just an old man. | |
| I don't care. | |
| But I haven't worn out for Jesus. | |
| I mean, I love Jesus. | |
| Amen. | |
| Listen, if you're not ready, if you don't forgive everyone from your heart, you're not going to heaven. | |
| Joseph had to forgive him. | |
| That's not me. | |
| That's not me. | |
| This story that you're talking about before we get to this point, Joseph had to forgive his brethren. | |
| Every part of our lives, we have to forgive. | |
| But this is way back in the beginning, isn't it? | |
| Yes. | |
| They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh. | |
| Now, I've tried to get people to store. | |
| That's right. | |
| The world has made fun of me for that more than anything I've ever preached. | |
| They make much fun of me anything they can. | |
| They're trying. | |
| There's people that set up ministries to destroy other ministries. | |
| They're accusers of the brethren. | |
| You people better not get into any of that. | |
| But they should collect all the food for the coming good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh to be kept in the cities for the food. | |
| This food should be held in reserve for the country to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt so that the country may not be ruined by famine. | |
| Oh, people, this country, if God didn't give us President Trump, I think it would have collapsed by now already. | |
| Wow. | |
| But President Trump is honestly, I believe, trying to save America. | |
| You say, well, he's not a perfect man. | |
| Well, neither am I, neither is anybody else. | |
| You're perfect, brother. | |
| Bishop, you're great. | |
| I don't know anyone that's perfect. | |
| This food should be held in reserve for the country, be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt that the country may not be ruined by famine. | |
| God wants to save his church. | |
| God's promised to comfort us. | |
| God's promise to take care of us. | |
| If you're a Christian, I mean, right now, I see all what's coming on the world, but I'm not upset. | |
| I'm upset that the church is going to hell, a lot of them. | |
| A lot of churches don't even believe in Jesus. | |
| Joseph got in this place through evil. | |
| Ricky, do you know how many are now working against all the churches, the ministries on television? | |
| They're trying to shut them down, all of them. | |
| That's right. | |
| And if Trump hadn't came into office, we probably wouldn't have Christian television today. | |
| Wow. | |
| They want to shut off Christian television. | |
| The reason they put me in prison, they thought I was going to help elect Pat Robertson as president. | |
| I won't go there, but I just want you to know they meant to hurt me, but God turned your evil into good to save the lives of many people, which is being done. | |
| That's Genesis 50, 20, 21, if you want to know. | |
| Yes. | |
| Yes. | |
| Do you believe that? | |
| I believe that. | |
| That the trial of your faith being more precious than of gold. | |
| That's right. | |
| Have your faith been tried, Ricky? | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| It's more precious than gold, too. | |
| Yes. | |
| This year has been hard for you. | |
| That's right. | |
| That's 1 Peter talking about that. | |
| We shouldn't curse our trial. | |
| We should thank the Lord that we are brought through our trial and that we are now more precious than gold. | |
| Can I say a word of a song just a minute? | |
| Sing it. | |
| Don't give up on the brink of a miracle. | |
| God wants to give you a miracle. | |
| God wants to bless your home. | |
| God wants to save your children. | |
| God wants to restore everything. | |
| And the devil is wild. | |
| Franklin Graham told me a few years ago when his father was in the casket. | |
| He said, God told me when my dad passes away, all the demons in hell are going to be released on heaven, on earth. | |
| Wow. | |
| And boy, it's true. | |
| God wants to turn your trial into gold. | |
| We're in perilous times, difficult times. | |
| All you're going through. | |
| Hey, if you think your family is going through something nobody else is going through, I tell you, every family is having something. | |
| Right. | |
| Something. | |
| It may not be what's going through my family, but it's what's going. | |
| Everywhere I go, Ricky, people are in warfare. | |
| And bishop's traveling all across the country. | |
| You're seeing it too, aren't you? | |
| It's one attack after another. | |
| And the church, too. | |
| It's a major attack, you know. | |
| And you just quoted a scripture about Joseph says, hey, y'all meant it for my evil, but God meant it for good. | |
| Genesis 37 gives somewhat of a different account than Psalms 105. | |
| It talks about how God sent his servant Joseph ahead and the trials he had to go through. | |
| And so, but at the end of this text, I love it because Joseph said, you all sold me, but God set me. | |
| It was a setup from God. | |
| You meant it for evil, but you know what? | |
| God's going to bring some good out of this. | |
| Praise God. | |
| And everything we go through as believers, as children of God, it's going to work for our good. | |
| The devil meant it for evil, but God gets glory out of it. | |
| But you understand, you're on the board of directors. | |
| You've been my friend for decades, I think. | |
| Yes. | |
| And you're a Bible friend. | |
| You're stick closer to the brother. | |
| My brothers are all dead, but God wants to turn your trial into gold. | |
| Do you hear me? | |
| You don't have to take it. | |
| You don't have to let the devil beat you up. | |
| The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end. | |
| And the seven years of famine began just as Joseph has said. | |
| There was famine all off the land. | |
| And I think that's coming to the world, Bishop. | |
| But when all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. | |
| Then Pharaoh told the Egyptians, Egyptians, go to Joseph. | |
| Yes. | |
| You know, Joseph went through some hard times, but he followed Jesus. | |
| Go to Joseph and do what he tells you. | |
| When the famine had spread over the whole country, Joseph opened the storehouse. | |
| Wow, hallelujah. | |
| That's what the church is. | |
| You've got to have the word of God in the last days. | |
| And this ministry, a lot of ministries, forgive me, can I talk straight? | |
|
Noumana Food Storage Solution
00:03:08
|
|
| But a lot of ministries don't want what we call the full gospel anymore. | |
| They don't want praising God and shouting and jumping and singing. | |
| But it's all dead. | |
| And people aren't going to stay with dead stuff. | |
| They want life. | |
| That's right. | |
| And God gives life. | |
| And I'm praying that God will help this ministry that we founded. | |
| And Ricky was just a little boy when he found it. | |
| And now he's taking over. | |
| We will be right back after this special message. | |

| Because this is for you. | |
| This is from Mike Atkins. | |
| Yeah. | |
| He wrote this beautiful letter. | |
| He says, Don't look with the eyes or listen with your ear. | |
| Just cry out to God. | |
| He's always near. | |
| In your darkest hour, your miracle is here. | |
| Come on. | |
|
Founder's Dreaming Place
00:11:49
|
|
| Yeah. | |
| Yes, sir. | |
| And I'm asking you to be a part of this ministry. | |
| We may not be the biggest bunch in the world, but we're still serving God. | |
| Gideon's army. | |
| That's right. | |
| And I've built most, helped build most of the Christian television. | |
| And I'm the only founder founder, founder, that's still alive. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Wow. | |
| Barely, you know, but I'm alive. | |
| But we'll send together, Ricky, and we're going to keep it on the air till Jesus comes or he takes us away. | |
| That's right. | |
| What were we talking about this morning, Bishop? | |
| We have to continue to preach the gospel. | |
| Yes, spread the good news. | |
| We have to. | |
| And that's why the enemy attacks those major TV networks. | |
| You know why? | |
| Because you're giving a prophetic forecast. | |
| You're preparing the people for the coming of the Lord. | |
| And the enemy wants to shut that down. | |
| But we're here today to decree and to declare that no weapon formed against this ministry shall prosper. | |
| We've been here before. | |
| We've seen God do wonderful works. | |
| And the darkest hour, as you alluded to, amen, is just before dawn. | |
| I feel, I call this miracle morning sign. | |
| I call this my dreaming place. | |
| Every time I drive up on this property, I remember when we were in the old studio, and one day after doing a couple shows, you said, I want you to go with me to a piece of property. | |
| You didn't even tell me where we were going. | |
| So you and I, and Mr. Crawford, and I drove out. | |
| And when you pull into this dirt road here, you said, Here it is. | |
| And I said, Here is what? | |
| It was. | |
| Didn't you see it? | |
| I know, I didn't see it. | |
| I tried to see it, but when you finished painting the picture, I saw it before the building was erected because God had given me a lot of people. | |
| This was in Jilot before. | |
| Oh, it was all this place. | |
| We have hundreds of people here. | |
| We have, you know, why to do more? | |
| I'm the founder with my wife and I, and Ricky was a little boy. | |
| And Mondo, you were with me. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Oh, yeah. | |
| And so we're just God's family. | |
| We're just a normal family. | |
| Well, Mondo's not normal. | |
| He's got two beautiful children. | |
| He has twins. | |
| Not everybody has twins. | |
| And you have three beautiful children. | |
| But we are normal people, aren't we? | |
| You know, last night in our message, I preached right down the road here in Harrison, Arkansas. | |
| They're always preaching. | |
| At TLC, the life church. | |
| And my subject was stack a stone. | |
| You remember in Joshua chapter 4? | |
| Yeah, I do. | |
| He says, when you come across this Jordan, pick up a stone out of the riverbed, lay it at the brink of the river. | |
| So, number one, it'll be for you so you can be reminded of where the Lord bought you from. | |
| And then when your children ask you, why are these stones here? | |
| Then you tell them it was God that bought us through. | |
| So it's not just for you, but it's for the next generation that's coming. | |
| And then 1 Samuel chapter 7, the story there is about Samuel crying for the children of Israel. | |
| And it's right there again. | |
| The children of Israel are fighting the Philistines, and they said, Will you cry for us? | |
| Cease not to pray for us. | |
| And God gave them a victory through their leader. | |
| But at the end of that text, it says that now Samuel laid a stone down and he called it Ebenezer, where hitherto the Lord has helped us. | |
| It's called the rock of help. | |
| And the Lord told me to tell you today that there's a rock in this place and your help is on the way. | |
| Whoa. | |
| We are in the end times and I want to stay on the air. | |
| And Ricky, if I die, I want you to stay on the air. | |
| I want to bring all the great men and women of God on this program. | |
| We're one of the only programs now that will let some of the old-fashioned preachers preach. | |
| I call them old-fashioned Holy Ghost preachers. | |
| Like cameras came, they sang, Holy Ghost will set your feet to dance. | |
| Well, that was radical, but it built CBN. | |
| Right. | |
| And God, his word is all fulfilled. | |
| Amen. | |
| He said there'll be earthquakes in many places. | |
| And then Jesus said, I'm coming. | |
| When that's a sign of my coming. | |
| That's right at the beginning of birth pains. | |
| What does diverse mean? | |
| In many places, all across the world. | |
| I'm glad you went to the Bible College. | |
| Places that you didn't even expect. | |
| Right. | |
| And what do we have? | |
| Do you know, Monda, how many earthquakes we had this month already? | |
| In the first week? | |
| Yeah, 500. | |
| That's right. | |
| You get the prize. | |
| But it's 500 earthquakes this month already. | |
| That sounds diverse. | |
| In one week. | |
| Embarrassing. | |
| Different places. | |
| Bishop, why don't they believe God? | |
| It's in the Bible. | |
| It's the word of God. | |
| And it said, that's going to be the sign of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. | |
| He's coming back. | |
| But he says, in the last days, it's going to be like a rock and roller that call it. | |
| You ought to read Revelation if you want to know what's coming. | |
| But God said, if you're mine, you will come to heaven. | |
| I'm going to take care of you. | |
| I've had dreams and visions of heaven the last few months and years. | |
| Oh, God. | |
| It's fabulous. | |
| Amen. | |
| I've met Mr. Crawford, who helped build this place. | |
| I said, Mr. Crawford, when we get to heaven, I've asked God, and he said I could. | |
| He's going to teach me how to build heaven style. | |
| I want to build some more mansions or whatever they do, Bill. | |
| But oh, it's wonderful. | |
| They're singing. | |
| There's joy. | |
| You don't have any pain anymore. | |
| You don't think about things that are bad. | |
| It's amazing. | |
| But we want to tell this good news. | |
| I've asked God to let me win at least a million more people. | |
| Amen. | |
| I know most of you don't know who I am. | |
| I'm just his dad. | |
| On the contrary. | |
| We used to count all the people that come to God through ministries. | |
| Sure. | |
| Our PTL. | |
| And we stopped at 3 million. | |
| And so it's been probably 5 million or more. | |
| And I pray they all stay saved and didn't backfly because the devil came after me. | |
| Don't look at preachers. | |
| My God, we're just flesh and blood. | |
| Look at Jesus. | |
| But we need you to support this ministry. | |
| I started Christian television with Pat Robertson. | |
| I started CBN. | |
| You don't know it. | |
| I was the president. | |
| I don't want to brag about bragging about it. | |
| I'm just telling you, I'm the one that helped start all this with Pat. | |
| And I don't want to see it go under. | |
| I don't want to see it stop. | |
| Right. | |
| The devil is a stupid devil. | |
| He's a mean devil. | |
| Don't get on the devil's side. | |
| Why did Jesus die? | |
| He died to save us from our sins and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. | |
| I mean, anybody hear me? | |
| Yes. | |
| I'm giving you the truth. | |
| This is good. | |
| And I'm just praying. | |
| Even if they give a dollar a day, which would be $30 a month, would be big. | |
| That's right, the PTL Club in honor of what you did back in the 70s and 80s. | |
| You know, when you started 79 club, they never could meet the button. | |
| All it was was a thousand people. | |
| Yes. | |
| To give $10. | |
| That's right. | |
| A month. | |
| You need 700 people. | |
| That's right. | |
| And the night the man, the man who gave money to Pat, I mean, there's always some givers, but he said, I won't touch you with a 10-foot pole. | |
| You're going under. | |
| And I broke down and cried because I saw America without Christian television. | |
| God showed me Christian television is important to win souls. | |
| And sure, there's a lot of crazies on television, but there's a lot of good people on television. | |
| Amen. | |
| And when I told the people it would go under, in fact, that would be the last week, probably around here, they gave a thousand people gave $10 a month. | |
| Wow. | |
| And God anointed it. | |
| And the next day, we started the 700 club. | |
| And Pat let me be the host of it for eight years. | |
| Amen. | |
| But when people give, God gives back to them. | |
| People were healed. | |
| People were saved. | |
| I mean, we begin to have a revival. | |
| And we want a revival on television for God. | |
| Amen. | |
| And I believe if you call me 1-1-1-8-8. | |
| That's a lot of eights. | |
| I love eights and no biggie. | |
| That's right, new me. | |
| 988-1588. | |
| Or you can go to jimbakershow.com, I think. | |
| That's right. | |
| Still, and make a pledge of a dollar a day or do a give a thousand. | |
| I want to have a chart up here the next few weeks. | |
| Yes. | |
| And we're going to have a goal. | |
| Amen. | |
| Well, we're writing some books, and we're going to share with that tomorrow. | |
| So come back, please. | |
| And call and give right now if you want to keep this ministry on here. | |
| We're at the end of the road. | |
| We just need help. | |
| So please call us today. | |
| Please be a part of this. | |
| Or you can write us. | |
| That's right. | |
| P.O. Box 7330. | |
| Well, God loves you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Bye-bye. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| The Jim Baker Family Show has been a voice of truth, preparation, and hope for generations. | |
| And it's only possible because of you. | |
| And when you give, whether it's a one-time gift or a monthly partnership, you're helping us spread the gospel, sound the alarm, and prepare people for what's coming. | |
| There is coming a shift so that we can preach the gospel to the whole wide world, but it's not coming to the stingy, and it's not coming to those with their hands closed. | |
| It's coming to those who right now, without waiting for anything to happen right now, in obedience to the Holy Spirit, are willing to obey him and sow into ministries like this. | |
