Petition With Thanksgiving
00:04:32
|
|
| Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. | |
| Today our special guest is author, prophetic teacher, speaker, president of Isaac Petrie Ministries, founder and apostolic overseer of Christ Nations Church and leader of 2 Kings Global Network, Pastor Isaac Petrie. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo De la Fega. | |
| And now, live from Grace Street at Morningside USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, you're watching the PTL Television Network, friends. | |
| We have an exciting guest for you today. | |
| Don't touch that dial. | |
| Don't swipe out of that screen. | |
| We have Pastor Isaac Petrie. | |
| He is the president of Isaac Petrie Ministries, founder and apostolic overseer of Christ Nations Church and leader of 2 Kings Global Network. | |
| Pastor Isaac is a prophetic teacher and speaker whose greatest passion is to see the kingdom of God manifest on earth. | |
| And he has a new book we're going to be talking about called the Ascension Dimension, Exercising Kingdom Authority to Triumph Over Circumstances and Opposition. | |
| We're going to be talking about that today, Mondo. | |
| Before we get into the broadcast, I want you to open up your Bible. | |
| If you're at home, open it up. | |
| Or if you have an iPhone, Android device, swipe up, I guess. | |
| You can still open your Bible, technically, right? | |
| You're opening it out. | |
| Open up your Bible, friends. | |
| Hey, if you don't have a physical Bible, get one. | |
| I'm telling you, it's the best thing you'll ever do is have something you can hold in your hand like this. | |
| But if you have a digital one, that's fine too. | |
| Philippians 4. | |
| Mondo, I'm reading starting in verse 6. | |
| It says right here, don't worry about anything, but in everything through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. | |
| Friends, we have to present our request to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. | |
| Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy, dwell on these things. | |
| Sit on these things, dwell on them. | |
| Do what you have learned and received and heard from me and seen in me, and the peace of God will be with you. | |
| Friends, if you're struggling with anxiety today, if you're struggling with depression, if you're struggling with mental health issues, disorders, things that are just bombarding your mind, attacking your mind, I want you to cling on to Philippians 4, verse 6. | |
| Don't worry about anything, but in everything through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. | |
| You know, Mondo, I was reading a Harvard.edu post in a national institute of health.gov, our government website, that I don't know if you know this, they did a scientific study that gratitude and anxiety cannot coexist in the mind at the same time. | |
| Whenever you become thankful in all things, right here, it has the remedy for us. | |
| If you do all things with thanksgiving, it cannot coexist with anxiety. | |
| Once you give your request to God, petition God with thanksgiving, anxiety leaves, Mondo, depression leaves, bearing of the weight on your mind leaves. | |
| So friends, I'm going to tell you this right now. | |
| It's an either or situation, and we have a choice to make. | |
| Philippians 4 makes it very clear. | |
| Now, friends, life is still going to have trials. | |
| Life is still going to have tribulations. | |
| Life is still going to have hard moments. | |
| Well, Mondo, when you're walking through these hard moments, when you're walking through a trial, when you're in the middle of the fire, like a Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedigo, whenever you say, God, I trust you, you give your petition of God, you know what I need. | |
| I need to get out of this fire. | |
| I need to be out of this hard situation. | |
| I need to get the weight of the world on my shoulders off of my shoulders. | |
| When you present it to Him in a petition with thanksgiving, tell me that doesn't just change everything. | |
| Listen, when you go back and you read about the Exodus, the greatest Exodus that the Word teaches, and then what happens next is fascinating because rebellion leads to disobedience, and disobedience leads to unthankfulness. | |
|
Obedience Over Sacrifice
00:05:02
|
|
| Yet, God was asking two things from His people: He got them out of Egypt, He got them out of trouble, He bailed them out, He saw, He displayed a miraculous moment when He parted the Red Sea. | |
| Yet, He brought him through the trial. | |
| And a lot of times, God brings you through the trial, through the situation, through the divorce, through the bankruptcies, through the rejection. | |
| Yet, what He expects is two things from you: one is obedience. | |
| Uh-oh, I just cussed in the church. | |
| We don't like obedience in the church, obedience is better than sacrifice. | |
| Oh, my goodness, we rather sacrifice than be obedient. | |
| But understand this: all he was asking was obedience and a thankful heart. | |
| That's all God wanted from His people. | |
| That's right. | |
| And what are the two most difficult things for mankind is obedience and be thankful. | |
| Can I get in trouble? | |
| Is that all right? | |
| Let's go ahead and get. | |
| You know why I believe the church, especially of the modern era, really loves the Bible, it was very clear, very clear throughout the gospel: obedience better than sacrifice. | |
| Obedience is better than sacrifice. | |
| So, then, Mondo, why do Christians love sacrifice? | |
| Christians love sacrifice because it typically is followed by praise, yeah, or it's typically followed by somebody licking your wounds or saying, Oh, brother, you went through so much, you've given so much, you've done so much for the church, they don't appreciate you like they should appreciate you. | |
| The pastor doesn't look at you when he preaches the sermon, he should be looking right at you, brother. | |
| It comes with the world around you trying to comfort you, but obedience most of the time is something that we need to do as Christians. | |
| It doesn't get the praise, no, it doesn't get the people rubbing your back and licking the wounds, it doesn't get that. | |
| You see, emotions will lead you to sacrifice, that's right, tension leads you to obedience, that's right, discipline. | |
| And a lot of people will sacrifice their marriage before they humble themselves. | |
| Uh-oh, come on, talk to me because we rather sacrifice. | |
| We get taught sacrifice in order to be great, you got to sacrifice your time, in order to be a great athlete, you got to sacrifice this, you got to sacrifice that. | |
| Yet, when reality hits at home, it's rather sacrifice or obedience. | |
| Obedience will lead you into a place of relationship and And understand this, sacrifice leads you in a lonely place. | |
| I believe we are living in that moment where we must understand what obedience truly means for a Christian. | |
| Because we are all going to face problems. | |
| We're all going to face situations as part of call the life. | |
| That's right. | |
| Life is not easy. | |
| Life is difficult. | |
| Life was never promised to be simple. | |
| But if you just follow the commands, again, that's another thing that the church has left is the commandments, is the command of God to understand that obedience, there's power and obedience. | |
| There's freedom and obedience. | |
| There's liberation and obedience. | |
| There's an anointing in the obedience that will develop you into understanding how the dimensions of how God wants to work with you through you put you in a whole different level. | |
| Amen. | |
| And understanding that obedience is far greater than sacrifice, you will understand that you need to stop sacrificing time with your kids. | |
| You need to stop sacrificing your marriage and walk back and humble yourself and be kind and be loving. | |
| I mean, there's a Ricky, we are living in a moment right now that men and women are sacrificing their marriages and they're walking away rather than to be obedient on what the word says on how to treat one another. | |
| That's right. | |
| We don't want it because obedience is not fun. | |
| Just like you mentioned, obedience doesn't get the praise. | |
| And obedience often invokes humility and killing your ego and killing your pride and killing the secret sins you have. | |
| Friends, obedience is one of the most freeing things you can do. | |
| It shows total dependency on God, which, friends, whether you like it or not, you're 100% dependent on Jesus. | |
| You absolutely are. | |
| And if there's that piece of you that says, well, you know, I can do a portion of this on our own. | |
| Friends, I'll be the first to call it out. | |
| That's pride. | |
| That's ego. | |
| It needs to be killed. | |
| We need to pick up our cross. | |
| We need to follow him because we are enduring to the end so that we can gain our lives for eternity with him, the one whom our soul loves, Jesus Christ, the only way to heaven, the way, the truth, and the life, the one whom no one can go to the Father except through him. | |

Ascension Dimension
00:04:16
|
|
| We have Pastor Isaac Petrie on the broadcast with us today. | |
| We're going to be talking about this book, Mono, The Ascension Dimension, Exercising Kingdom Authority to Triumph Over Circumstances and Opposition. | |
| I want to thank Pastor Isaac Petrie for being on the broadcast with us today. | |
| Pastor, how are you doing? | |
| I am doing great. | |
| Stirred up listening to you all about obedience being better than sacrifice. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| So tell us right here, right off the beginning, what do you mean by the ascension dimension? | |
| When somebody gets this book, they're going to say, what does this mean right off the jump? | |
| Let's give them a teaser, a sneak peek. | |
| What is the ascension dimension, Pastor? | |
| I believe it is the finished work of Jesus. | |
| Meaning that Jesus did not finish his work by just going through the resurrection. | |
| He finished his work when he ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. | |
| And so what the ascension dimension is about is moving the church from resurrection being saved to the ascension being seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. | |
| And so this is what this whole book is explaining, the different dimensions that Jesus brought us into at the right hand of the Father, where we are to be ruling and reigning with him in the earth. | |
| Ruling and reigning with him here on the earth. | |
| Pastor, I just want to dive into this. | |
| You know, a lot of Christians don't accept their true identity. | |
| Whenever we reject the world, whenever we say, yes, I'm going to become a follower of Christ. | |
| I am now heir to the throne because I am a seed of Abraham. | |
| I'm a brother, a sister, a royal priesthood. | |
| I am a holy nation because I've been grafted in by God. | |
| Why is it that believers choose not to sometimes take their rightful place as sons and daughters? | |
| Well, you said it, identity. | |
| And this is why we have to continue to preach and teach revelations like this, that when I got born again, I wasn't just forgiven of my sins. | |
| Thank God I was. | |
| So that's clear. | |
| But I was also made a new creation, which means that something happened to me spiritually that totally shifted who I was. | |
| And what we're doing is we're looking in the natural. | |
| Nothing changed about your eyes. | |
| Nothing changed about your hands. | |
| But your spirit went through a total recreation. | |
| And your spirit man was created in the image and likeness of God. | |
| And that's the part of you where the Bible says old things have passed away. | |
| And behold, all things have become new. | |
| And now you are a child of God. | |
| Just like you were born a child of your parent by the natural DNA, you were born a, my God, I feel the anointing. | |
| You were born a child of God by your spiritual DNA. | |
| And once your identity becomes spiritual, once you see yourself as the image and likeness of God spiritually, then it will begin to impact the way you see yourself mentally and physically. | |
| And it will change the way you function, operate, and behave in the earth realm. | |

Brother Chuck's Discipleship Book
00:03:42
|
|
| Friends, I want you to go. | |
| We have an affiliate program for this book. | |
| You need to go and get this. | |
| You'll see it up there on the screen. | |
| The Ascension Dimension, Exercising Kingdom Authorities to Triumph Over Circumstances and Opposition. | |
| We have an affiliate with our Destiny image. | |
| You can go right there, scan the QR code or shop on our Nori Media affiliate program and get this book. | |
| Mondo, this is the type of book that somebody wants to take and give this to their pastor, give it to a deacon, give it to an elder, give it to their husband or their wife. | |
| This is a good gift-giving book. | |
| Why? | |
| Because it lets people know this is who you are and this is the authority you have. | |
| Anytime I see a book forwarded by Brother Chuck D. Pierce, I'm going to pick it up because if Brother Chuck gets behind somebody, meaning if he approves of them, you better listen to that person because I love Brother Chuck Chuck. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| I met Brother Petrie several years ago at a conference that Brother Chuck had invited me to. | |
| And right behind me was one of the most powerful preachers that I have heard in my lifetime. | |
| And that is this man that we're talking to today. | |
| Brother Petri, it's so good to have you back. | |
| You've been missed. | |
| We love you. | |
| Thank you for the ministry that you have because you are, sir, you are making a difference in the leaders' lives. | |
| I hear so many leaders talk about you in a good way. | |
| And it's very rare that you meet a leader ministering to other leaders. | |
| And we are living in a time right now where leaders need to be fed too. | |
| You understand? | |
| And when you have someone like Brother Chuck Pierce, you know, writing a forward for someone like Brother Petrie, it's going to change your life. | |
| This are moments where you and I, as the church, need to be discipled. | |
| And how do we get discipled, Ricky? | |
| Through books. | |
| Yeah, through Christian education. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Because if I can have Brother Petrie with me all the time, I will ask him to walk with me because you need some wisdom. | |
| You need some people that can have wisdom and help you along the way. | |
| But better than that, we can have his book and it's going to teach you some principles that we need right now, especially with what we were talking about on how to exercise kingdom authority and triumph over circumstances and oppositions. | |
| I'm amazed how many seasoned Christians are still having a hard time, Brother Petrie, understanding the subject of the ascension dimension. | |
| One more time, how is this book going to empower us in our prayer time and our decision making? | |
| Oh, you said it, the prayer time. | |
| The ascension is about the heavenly places. | |
| And this is why the Bible says Paul prayed that the church in Ephesians chapter number one would get this revelation. | |
| He prayed that we might know the exceeding greatness that God worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead, that's resurrection, and seated him in the heavenly places. | |
| That's the ascension far above principality, power, might, dominion in every name. | |
|
Access to Authority
00:06:59
|
|
| We are losing so much in the earth because we are trying to fight a spiritual battle in the natural. | |
| This is spiritual warfare, according to Ephesians 6. | |
| And it is in the ascension where Jesus received authority in heaven and earth and beneath the earth. | |
| He received authority over all principality, power, might, dominion, and everything named or created, he now has authority over. | |
| Why do we have to know that? | |
| Because he set us with him, which means he gave us access to that authority that he has over principality, power, might, dominion. | |
| So when we pray in his name, we are exercising his authority over the enemy. | |
| And so that will weaponize every child of God to not put up with demonic activity. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| Pastor, I want to ask you this. | |
| What is it that the devil never saw coming? | |
| And why was he and the rulers of this dark world in the dark about Jesus Christ? | |
| Yeah, because it was hidden, the Bible says, in a mystery. | |
| That means nobody knew it. | |
| The Bible says even the angels did not know it. | |
| That God hid this great plan of how he was going to restore man back into his image, likeness, and dominion that he established in the Garden of Eden for all of us to walk and live in. | |
| And so, because Adam sinned and fell, then Satan now had certain authority over man. | |
| That's why he's called the God of this world or the God of this age, because of our sinful condition, we became susceptible to the enemy, to sin, to disease, to poverty, to perversion, to addiction, to whatever it is you might be dealing with. | |
| We became servants and slaves, the Bible said, to sin. | |
| Jesus came to redeem us, save us, and then give us back his image, likeness, and dominion. | |
| And Satan never saw it coming. | |
| Because had the princes of this world known, the Bible says they would not have crucified him because they thought they were getting rid of Jesus through the crucifixion. | |
| But what they were doing was multiplying him through the crucifixion. | |
| So he didn't die. | |
| He multiplied. | |
| The resurrection gave him the ability not to just be raised from the dead and be given authority, but also to raise all of us up with him and give us authority. | |
| It was the worst day the kingdom of darkness had ever seen when Jesus was raised from the dead and it gave him the power to now raise us all spiritually from the dead and give us his authority over the enemy. | |
| And that's what the church is supposed to do. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| We are supposed to have authority, friends. | |
| Why? | |
| Because we now coexist with Christ. | |
| Friends, you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you. | |
| You've heard me say it on this broadcast before. | |
| He didn't pick a box to live inside of. | |
| He didn't pick a building to live inside of. | |
| He didn't pick relics to have his spirit poured out on. | |
| He picked me and you, the heart of man, to rest in, friends. | |
| Yeah. | |
| The Holy Spirit, a part of the Trinity living within us. | |
| I often said it, you know, you'll get to heaven one day and you'll see Moses. | |
| You'll say, Moses, what was it like to encounter all the miracles? | |
| You'll see the children of Israel. | |
| And you'll say, what was it like to have a pillar of fire by day and a pillar of fire by night and a cloud of covering during the day? | |
| What was it like? | |
| David, what was it like to have the strength to kill a bear, a lion, giants, rule the nations? | |
| What was it like having God's favor on your life, being called a man after his own heart? | |
| And friends, that'll all be exciting, but they will look at you and say, What was it like to have God living within you? | |
| What was it like to have the Holy Spirit resting in your life, giving you constant direction, access at any point in time? | |
| No longer having to sacrifice, no longer having to have a high priest to go to, but having him live inside of you. | |
| Friends, never take that for granted. | |
| Never take for granted that you have the living God before there was anything, he was. | |
| And long after eternity comes to an end, which, by the way, eternity lasts forever. | |
| Long after it comes to an end, he'll still be. | |
| And friends, he wants to live inside of you. | |
| He wants to have a personal relationship with you. | |
| He wants you to know him and for him to know you. | |
| If you've never given your life to Jesus, there has never been a better moment than right now. | |
| There's not someday. | |
| There's not, you know, eventually, friends, it's today. | |
| Today, you need to make that critical decision. | |
| Call our number. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588. | |
| This will be the best decision you have ever made. | |
| And friends, there's historical evidence to back up Jesus Christ living here on earth, living a perfect life, being crucified, raising up from the dead, being ascended into heaven. | |
| And friends, he sits at the right hand of his father, contending for me and for you, Gentiles, friends. | |
| And if you're Jewish watching this, for you as well, that we have access to the Father through the blood of the Son. | |
| And we'll never stop preaching about the blood. | |
| We'll never stop honoring the blood. | |
| We'll never stop talking about its purity and its ability to wipe us clean. | |
| Friend, it'll be the best decision you've ever made. | |
| Call that number. | |
| We'd love to pray the salvation prayer with you. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588. | |
| And when you pray that prayer, friends, you are now joint heirs with Christ. | |
| You are now a royal priesthood. | |
| You now have all authority within you. | |
| But friends, go get discipled. | |
| Go submit yourself under a man or woman of God who can walk with you through this process. | |
|
Healed, Delivered by Revelation
00:05:15
|
|
| Because friends, I'll let you know right now, if you just pray that prayer for the first time, know this. | |
| The enemy is now going to turn and look at you because now you oppose his kingdom agenda, the dark kingdom agenda. | |
| But friends, you have all authority. | |
| You're not fighting for victory. | |
| You're fighting from victory. | |
| But go get in a discipleship program. | |
| Go get in a good Bible-believing church. | |
| Go get mentors around you that can help guide you through this walk because there's spiritual blessing that comes whenever you say yes to Jesus Christ. | |
| And Pastor, I want to ask you about that. | |
| Let's dive into that. | |
| What does it mean as a believer to have spiritual blessings? | |
| Yeah, and that's the thing that, again, Paul prayed that we might understand that we have been blessed with all spiritual, Ephesians 1, 3, with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. | |
| In other words, this whole redemption about the ascension piece is to get us to focus on the spirit dimension, the spirit realm, because that's the realm of demonic activity. | |
| That's the realm the Holy Spirit is a spirit. | |
| We are born again as spirits. | |
| Angels are ministering spirits. | |
| That's where the authority resides. | |
| And it's great to have natural blessings, food, clothing, you know, shelter for your business to prosper. | |
| All of that is the natural. | |
| But in the spirit, there are blessings like authority. | |
| There are blessings like spiritual rank. | |
| There are blessings like the gifts of the spirit. | |
| There are blessings that he's given us, sonship, being joint heirs, so that when we function in the spiritual dimension, we can use all of the things we have been empowered with, because that's what the word blessed means. | |
| It means empowered. | |
| It means empowered to prosper. | |
| It means to be fruitful. | |
| He's equipped us with everything we need spiritually to defeat the enemy and not just defeat him. | |
| I mean triumph over him. | |
| And so he has now given us these things that we occupy in the realm of the spirit so that we can now take down principalities and powers and deal with issues in your family, in your home, in your mind, attacks on you, on your ministry, on your calling. | |
| This is a spiritual war, and he has given you every spiritual weapon to win. | |
| People say, oh, God is taking care of your finances. | |
| Yeah, I'm still broke. | |
| You know what I'm saying, Pastor Petrie? | |
| What is it about us not understanding the finished works of Jesus? | |
| Yes. | |
| And I love, see, what you all started out talking about, which was brilliant. | |
| It was anointed. | |
| Obedience is better than sacrifice. | |
| There has to be a, I call it a synchronization between heaven and earth. | |
| A lot of times, we are not just healed, delivered by just the prayer. | |
| Sometimes you're healed, watch this, by instruction. | |
| You're healed by direction. | |
| You're healed, delivered by revelation. | |
| One of the things we have diminished so much about the Holy Spirit is that everybody loves the manifestation when the power falls, when the glory falls, when the miracles happen. | |
| But we don't understand his voice is just as supernatural. | |
| His instruction, his direction, his wisdom. | |
| And so I have been healed sometimes by receiving my healing and the pain just goes away. | |
| And then there are times I have prayed and it stayed and stayed. | |
| And now I ask, okay, Lord, I can't tell you how to heal me. | |
| If you don't want to heal me by supernatural power and demonstration, what am I missing? | |
| And oftentimes it will be his instruction. | |
| His instruction is just as supernatural as his demonstration. | |
|
Defeating Evil Thoughts
00:14:22
|
|
| And when we learn to fall in love with hearing him, he will walk us into every victory in our lives. | |
| Amen. | |
| Amen. | |
| Friends, I'm going to read from you a small portion of this book, The Ascension Dimension, Exercising Kingdom Authorities to Triumph Over Circumstances and Opposition by Pastor Isaac Petrie. | |
| Friends, this is available. | |
| You can go, call that number. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or you can scan the QR code on the screen or go to jimbakershow.com and you can find our Nori Media affiliate page where you could order this book. | |
| But friends, when you order this book, turn to page 36. | |
| And this is what it's going to say. | |
| Paul was conveying to the church that our battle is spiritual. | |
| Satan does not want to be dethroned or removed from being over people in places he previously dominated and ruled. | |
| Not only that, but he is also constantly trying to take new territory to rule. | |
| Jesus defeated him, but Jesus didn't displace him. | |
| To displace him is our assignment. | |
| Until Satan is cast into the pit, he has a right to be here in the earth realm. | |
| Even though he has a right to be here, he still has no rights, which it says is privilege or entitlements, while he is here. | |
| Jesus owns all of the rights and permissions to function in the heavens and on earth. | |
| Jesus stripped him of any rights to function, which means everything he's doing, he's doing illegally. | |
| God forbade him to operate and rise up the church to cast him out. | |
| This is our warfare. | |
| But remember, it's not to defeat Satan. | |
| Jesus already did that. | |
| Rather, it's to remove and displace him from operating where he has no legal jurisdiction. | |
| If the church does not occupy the spiritual territory given to Jesus in the ascension, then Satan will continue to violate the earth and humanity. | |
| This is a statement that I want you to engrave into your heart and mind forever. | |
| And this is what the book says, friend, on page 37 of this book. | |
| Every time you, as a child of God, allow Satan to defeat you, you allow Satan to disrespect you or to disrespect Jesus. | |
| Excuse me. | |
| You allow Satan to disrespect Jesus. | |
| That's right. | |
| You are seated far above him in Christ. | |
| Therefore, when you don't put him under the feet of Jesus, you allow him to act as if the ascension never happened. | |
| Wow. | |
| Friends, that is just a small expert of this brilliant book, The Ascension Dimension, Exercising Kingdom Authority to Triumph Over Circumstances and Opposition. | |
| Pastor, I want you to dive into what we just spoke about. | |
| It says right here, you're seated far above him in Christ. | |
| Therefore, when you don't put him under the feet of Jesus, you allow him to act as if the ascension never happened. | |
| Pastor, dive into that. | |
| Satan is an outlaw. | |
| See, this is why people are confused that if Satan is defeated and Jesus defeated him and we've got authority, why all the killing, the stealing, the destruction? | |
| Because Satan is an outlaw, which means he knows he has no rights. | |
| He knows he has no authority. | |
| But he also knows if you know it. | |
| I'm just going to let that pause for a moment. | |
| He also knows if you know what you ought to know. | |
| And so this is why the Bible says he goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. | |
| Because he's looking for an opportunity of least resistance. | |
| And so Satan, if he had enough perverted ambition to try to ascend into heaven and be like God, knowing that was not his jurisdiction or his authority or his rank. | |
| If he tested God, you know he's going to test you. | |
| But what we've got to do is the same thing God did, cast him out. | |
| And so you get no reprieve crying about your attacks. | |
| It might be difficult and I sympathize. | |
| I've been through them myself. | |
| But if you're going to get out of them, you're going to have to rise up in your authority and tell the enemy, it is illegal for you to function against me and you know it. | |
| And that's when you resist the devil. | |
| And what did the Bible say? | |
| The Bible says he will flee. | |
| Why? | |
| Because he knows that when you exercise your authority, you got a power standing behind you. | |
| And the last time he tried to run up on God's authority, like lightning, he fell from heaven. | |
| So you got to pass the test of the enemy testing you about your position. | |
| And this is what we have to understand. | |
| This is why the battle is because you have to put him in place. | |
| He's not going to leave voluntarily. | |
| You have to cast him out in the authority, name of Jesus. | |
| Amen. | |
| I feel like that battle really starts in the mind, Mondo. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Where people say, I understand. | |
| I've heard that I've had a threat. | |
| I understand that I've heard that I'm seated in heavenly places with Christ. | |
| But the devil still tries to convince you it's not true. | |
| You don't have authority. | |
| You don't have the keys to the kingdom. | |
| You don't have the things you need to defeat me. | |
| So, Pastor, why do we have to have our minds go through a total renewal? | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Because our minds were trained by the sin nature. | |
| And so now here we are born again. | |
| Now we have all this authority. | |
| But Paul says we got to be transformed in Romans 12 and 2 by the renewing of our minds. | |
| Because you hit the nail on the head, man of God. | |
| He comes after your mind because he knows that a born-again spirit with an unrenewed mind will still be in and out, will vacillate up and down from fear to faith. | |
| One day I feel, I like to say it like this: one day you feel like a nut. | |
| Sometimes you don't from that old commercial, which means because our minds are not renewed, we don't think like we have authority. | |
| We don't speak like we have authority. | |
| We don't act like we have authority all the time. | |
| This is why you got to continually renew your mind. | |
| This is why the Spirit of God urged me to write this book so that it could be something that will get you to think ascension, think authority, think resurrection. | |
| Because if the enemy can't get you to doubt in your mind, he has no other ammunition to defeat you. | |
| If he can't defeat you in your thought life, he cannot defeat you in your life. | |
| Wow. | |
| Makes me think of whatever happens in the mind happens in time. | |
| I think one of the greatest battles that we all face, Ricky and Pastor, as ministers, as people of God, is the battle in the mind. | |
| And it's so real because a lot of people try to ignore it. | |
| But the reality is, this is why people commit suicide. | |
| I'm talking about pastor's wives. | |
| I'm talking about evangelists. | |
| I'm talking about people that have been seasoned in the word for many decades, and yet they find themselves in a very dark place because the battle that takes place in the mind is very serious. | |
| And somehow the devil, you know, defeats you there. | |
| And I always quote this part of the scripture that it has to resonate with us. | |
| As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. | |
| And understanding that the battle that we fight in the mind can only be defeated with what we have in our hearts. | |
| Out of the abundance of the heart, the Bible says the mouth speaks. | |
| Battling the mind, Pastor, I want to stay there for a moment because it seems like the enemy this season, especially after going through COVID, there has been a lot of reports that many people committed suicide. | |
| People went crazy being back home. | |
| People started utilizing drugs more. | |
| People started abusing alcohol. | |
| All of a sudden, the battle in their minds started hunting them. | |
| And we know it as a demonic spirit, but explain a little bit further. | |
| Because how do we defeat that devil in our minds? | |
| How do we defeat? | |
| Can we use the word? | |
| Can we proclaim the word? | |
| Can we fast? | |
| Can we pray? | |
| Can we get around people? | |
| What steps do we take to defeat the enemy of our minds? | |
| So glad you said this and led me this way. | |
| James declares: Hear me, child of God. | |
| There is only one thing that's able to renew the mind, cast down imaginations, everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. | |
| The engrafted word of God. | |
| It's not enough to just go to church. | |
| It's not enough to just worship. | |
| You've got to have the word of God. | |
| I don't know what it is about the word of God that is so supernaturally that the Bible says it will deliver your soul. | |
| It will deliver your mind, your will, your emotions. | |
| It will remove the fear because Satan's main weapon, don't ever forget this, is fear. | |
| Some form of fear is how he brings destruction into the lives of people. | |
| Some torment in their mind, which is all that's just roots of things springing up from fear. | |
| But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a power, love, and a sound mind. | |
| You've got to meditate on the word. | |
| Number two, you've got to speak the word. | |
| And number three, you've got to guard your mind, which means you got to watch what you put in it, what you watch, what you listen to, who you entertain, what you're constantly having in your environment. | |
| You've got to guard your mind. | |
| And then you've got to replace the thoughts of the enemy with the thoughts of God. | |
| And that you do that by speaking the word of God. | |
| That's what Jesus did in Luke chapter number four. | |
| And in the Gospels, that's how he defeated Satan by speaking the word of God. | |
| When I hear those words, I got to turn it into what we study for the program. | |
| Because in watching the news, it can create a lot of fear. | |
| As I'm watching the news, listen to this headlines: egg rationing begins. | |
| Is Trump ready for bird flu? | |
| Earthquakes. | |
| I mean, I can go on and on and on. | |
| And people are fearful right now, Ricky. | |
| People are afraid. | |
| Some people are afraid of what Donald Trump is going to do next. | |
| Other people are afraid of what's happening in Gaza. | |
| People are afraid of terrorists. | |
| People are afraid right now to even fly. | |
| We are seeing so much. | |
| I've never seen anything quite what's happening with the airplane industry or aviation industry. | |
| The confusion. | |
| And people are afraid. | |
| People are in fear. | |
| People are in free are also fearing the church. | |
| There's so much fear. | |
| Yet, look at what Pastor Isaac just said. | |
| Understanding the word. | |
| There's something about the word. | |
| That's why we try to start every program reading the word, not our opinions, not some funny stories, which those are all great. | |
| Don't get me wrong. | |
|
Receive Through Faith
00:15:30
|
|
| But a lot of times, you got to go back to the word. | |
| The word is what heals. | |
| The word is what restores. | |
| The word is what blesses you. | |
| The word is what builds you up to believe in the promises of what God has spoken over your life. | |
| Yes. | |
| And, Pastor, can you please explain what you say that people try to qualify for healing, deliverance, and breakthroughs? | |
| Oh, this, see, this is why the ascension is so valuable. | |
| Because once Jesus sat down, it was a sign that the work was finished. | |
| That everything pertaining to our salvation, he is the one that received it. | |
| He is the one that delivered it to us. | |
| So it's not by our works. | |
| Nothing, and listen to this statement because this is a profound statement, people of God. | |
| Nothing that we receive from God, we receive it by us qualifying for it. | |
| Nothing. | |
| Everything we receive from God, we receive it because Jesus qualified us. | |
| And this is why you have to go through him. | |
| This is why he gets all the glory. | |
| He gets all the honor because God doesn't do things for us based on what we do. | |
| He does things for us based on what Jesus did for us. | |
| Therefore, quit thinking you're not good enough. | |
| You don't know enough. | |
| Well, I didn't pray today. | |
| I haven't prayed all week. | |
| Oh my God, I need. | |
| Now, those things might affect your faith, but they do not affect your promises. | |
| Because the finished work of Jesus by inheritance gave you these blessings. | |
| You didn't earn them. | |
| He brought you into the family as an heir of God and a joint heir. | |
| Now you say, well, if that's true, then why do I have to obey? | |
| Because disobedience is Satan's way to disinherit you. | |
| Disobedience brings consequences. | |
| It opens the door for the enemy to attack you. | |
| And so you should now be honored to obey God and love God because he has freely given you everything that comes in Christ Jesus. | |
| And so it's not how much you pray. | |
| Should you pray? | |
| Absolutely. | |
| But it's not about qualifying. | |
| You're qualified if you are a child of God. | |
| So learn to receive by grace through faith. | |
| This is so powerful, Ricky. | |
| We know people that are not thankful for what they've gone through. | |
| No. | |
| And yet they wonder why they're still in the same fight that they found themselves 20 years ago. | |
| Spiritual. | |
| Or whether bitter. | |
| Or bitter. | |
| And we are watching it revolve into a moment that we have a sick church. | |
| We got sick people. | |
| But at the same time, God has given us the answer. | |
| God has given us the solution. | |
| God has given us what Pastor Petrie said, the strategic agenda to how to mobilize into freedom. | |
| And if we only grasp 1% of what was said today, it will change your life forever. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, I'm often talking about, especially when our church services, whether you come here on a Wednesday or a Sunday, come join us for church. | |
| If you're here in this local area, we'd love to have you and be a part of our church body. | |
| We will say that, you know, I can do all things through Christ who strengthened me. | |
| And, you know, we'll see it on a motivational basketball poster in like a high school gym locker. | |
| And that's great. | |
| I'm glad we need that there. | |
| But the context of what he was speaking at Mondo, I believe is so critical. | |
| I'm going to read it to you. | |
| Go open your Bible to Philippians chapter 4. | |
| It is verse 13 where we read this. | |
| Philippians 4, 13. | |
| I'm going to start reading ahead of time because I believe in full context. | |
| Right here, it says, I rejoiced in the Lord greatly because once again, you renewed your care for me. | |
| You were, in fact, concerned about me, but lacked the opportunity to show it. | |
| I don't say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstance I find myself. | |
| I know both how to make do with a little and I know how to make do with a lot. | |
| In any circumstance, I have learned the secret of being content. | |
| Friends, that's a Sunday sermon right there. | |
| The secret of being content. | |
| Whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need, I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me. | |
| Still, you did well by partnering with me in my hardship. | |
| Friends, we need people to come alongside of us and undergird us and partner with us in this spiritual walk. | |
| That's why at the beginning I said, make sure that you have a discipleship. | |
| If you prayed the prayer and you want to be a Christian, you want to walk this lifestyle, you want to stand firm, go get in a discipleship program. | |
| Go submit yourself under an authority. | |
| Have accountability around you. | |
| Because friends, he says clearly right here, still you did well by partnering with me in my hardship. | |
| But friends, he says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthened me. | |
| I can be poor and I can be rich. | |
| I can have a lot. | |
| I can have little. | |
| I can be going through hard times and I can have mountaintop experiences. | |
| I can do it all because of Jesus. | |
| Because of Jesus. | |
| Friends, if you're watching this today and you've been walking through a valley experience in your life and you've been walking through what seems to be the valley of the shadow of death, I want you to ensure to tell yourself the word of God tells me to fear not. | |
| Friends, he is a safe haven for you. | |
| He is a mighty and strong tower. | |
| He will renew you, friends. | |
| He will cause you to have supernatural rest. | |
| But first, you must submit yourself to him fully. | |
| You must submit your will to him fully. | |
| Your will must be entirely, completely, 100%, undoubtedly subservient to his will. | |
| And friends, that is when you can be operating in the full calling of what it is that God has for you. | |
| It's how you can be content with being poor. | |
| It's how you can be content with being rich. | |
| It's how you can be content walking through the valley. | |
| It's how you can be content walking on the mountaintop. | |
| You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. | |
| But friends, never forget the assemblies of coming together. | |
| Never forget undergirding our brother and sister in Christ. | |
| Paul says it best. | |
| We're to treat everyone good, but especially those of the household of faith. | |
| Friends, when was the last time you went out of your way to support a Christian organization, out of your way to support a Christian business, out of your way to undergird your brother and sister who might be going through marital issues, financial struggles, emotional problems, problems with their children. | |
| Friends, we are called to be a support system for one another. | |
| You know, heaven is a place of perfection. | |
| There'll be no tears. | |
| There'll be no pain. | |
| There'll be no shame, guilt, anger, lust. | |
| There'll be none of that. | |
| It'll be a place of true perfection. | |
| But, friends, while we're here on earth, we are to strive to act as Christ-like as possible. | |
| And friends, Christ extends his hand out to us when we fall down. | |
| Christ says, get back up and keep running the race. | |
| Christ empowers us to be heirs with him, joint at the hip with him. | |
| Friends, we are to be Christ to people on this earth. | |
| It's the goodness of the Lord that leads a man to repentance. | |
| Friends, you may have been praying for repentance in your family. | |
| You may have been praying for a daughter or a son or a mother, a father, aunt, uncle, a co-worker. | |
| You may have been saying, Lord, I know they're not living the right lifestyle. | |
| I've done everything I can, shy of dragging them to church physically, but I need them to come into the fullness of Christ. | |
| Friend, this is a word for you. | |
| Continue to pour the gospel into their ears and continue to show them Jesus by being good to them. | |
| And friends, it's the goodness of the Lord that will lead them to repentance. | |
| Pastor, I want to ask you this: if somebody is watching this broadcast today and they're maybe on the fence, they've never given their life to Jesus, or maybe they have given their life to Jesus, but they have become a prodigal. | |
| They've run from the calling which God has put on their life. | |
| What would you say to that individual today? | |
| There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. | |
| That once you come to Jesus, all of those things that you think you have to get rid of, you got to change, that you got to stop. | |
| Once you come to him, the reason we hinder and the reason we don't come is because we think we are not ready. | |
| It's not about you getting ready, it's about Jesus having paid the price for you to be forgiven. | |
| Come as you are, and then he will move you into such a reality of your sonship with him that he will no longer be God, he'll be your father. | |
| And you will move into a relationship, not a religion, that will bring you every desire of your heart on planet earth. | |
| So don't hesitate any longer trying to qualify. | |
| Jesus qualified you. | |
| Just come and receive your inheritance. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, this is why we're here to be a support system to you. | |
| And you are a support system for us because you can say, count me in with prayer, financial support, to be able to continue to do what God has called this ministry to do. | |
| To encourage you, to bring you pastors that will speak the word uncensored. | |
| They don't have to watch what they say, but if God spoke to them and they written it, we want to bring it to you. | |
| And we can only do that with your monthly support and you standing with this ministry. | |
| And I got to tell you, we've had a lot of great support throughout the years. | |
| Going through what we went through and coming out of it, you have stood with us strong. | |
| And this month, if you haven't become a partner of this ministry, we pray that you would stand with us. | |
| Call the number and let us talk to you and pray with you and see what God wants you to help this ministry with, because we need your help more now than ever. | |
| Amen. | |
| We are going into a new season. | |
| New things are happening. | |
| Exciting. | |
| And we need you to stand with us. | |
| We want you to go along the ride with us. | |
| We want you to say, hey, guys, count me in. | |
| I'm standing with the PTL Network, the Jim Baker Family Show, because we love this ministry. | |
| And you can do that today by calling the number 1-888-988-1588. | |
| We want to talk to you. | |
| We want to hear from you. | |
| And we want to give mom and dad a great report that you have signed on to become a monthly supporter of this ministry as we move forward, Ricky. | |
| And don't forget, you can go to the website, jimbakershow.com, and look at the products that we have to offer. | |
| We have amazing deals that our affiliate programs are starting to work with us and give you opportunities where you can buy now and pay later. | |
| And new mana, the gray down, chowdown guys, so many of them are standing with this ministry because they want you to be ready. | |
| Be prepared. | |
| And if you want a list of the things that are available right now, just call the number or visit the website, jimbakershow.com and learn about the different affiliate programs that we have. | |
| That's right. | |
| Friends, our monthly support is what allows us to continue to broadcast the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. | |
| I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to our monthly supporters. | |
| Whether it's a dollar a day, which a lot of you do, it's $5 a month. | |
| It's $100 a month, which is our president's club. | |
| We want you to be a part of this journey because, friends, it is not just up here on this stage, the people who speak, our guests who get blessed by this, friends. | |
| It is you as well. | |
| You are partnering with this ministry. | |
| Therefore, you are just as much a part of the reward, friend. | |
| And we are looking, I'm telling you, I've been saying this and I believe it. | |
| We are stepping into one of the greatest times of revival where I believe we are truly going to see Jesus come back soon and we're going to see a multi-billion soul revival sweep this world, this globe. | |
| And why do you say why? | |
| Well, because it's God's desire that not one be lost, that not one individual perishes and goes to hell. | |
| It wasn't created for humans. | |
| He loves humans. | |
| He loves humanity. | |
| He loves mankind. | |
| It's why he sent his son to give us an opportunity to go into heaven with him forever, even though we are born into sin. | |
| Friends, we believe that revival is going to be sparked, but we want to be here so that we can continue to give you the good report, to share the good news, so that anyone who hears this broadcast knows there's one way to heaven, and that's Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Jesus Christ alone. | |
| He is the way, he is the truth, and he is the life. | |
| Nobody comes to the Father except through him. | |
| We want every brother and every sister in Christ to go out and evangelize, go out and share the gospel so that we can have more brothers and more sisters in Christ, so that we can grow this family so that we can depopulate hell and put everyone on this earth in heaven through the power of Jesus Christ and his blood and his sacrifice on the cross. | |
| Friends, we love you, Pastor Isaac Petrie. | |
| I want to thank you for being on the broadcast with us today. | |
| It's been a blessing and an honor. | |
| You are an amazing man of God. | |
| We want to say thank you. | |
|
God Loves You
00:00:18
|
|
| Thank you. | |
| Always. | |
| Amen. | |
| Friends, if you're watching this here at home, or you're watching on video on demand, if you're about to go to work, or if you're about to lay your head down to sleep, just remember this. | |
| It's the most important thing you'll take away from this broadcast. | |
| God loves you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Bye-bye for today. | |
| God bless you. | |
