Los Angeles Evacuates 00:07:50
Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.
Today our special guest is author, pastor, preacher, teacher, and co-pastor at Faith Builders International in Kansas and Faith Builders Church in Arkansas, Michelle Steele.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo De La Vega.
And now, live from Gray Street at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, you're watching the PTL Television Network, friends.
It's exciting you are tuning in with us today.
Today, on this broadcast, you're not going to want to miss this.
We have Pastor Michelle Steele with us.
She's a former drug-addicted prostitute who, after an overdose and death experience, turned her life to Christ.
She and her husband, Philip, co-pastor churches in the DeSoto, Kansas, and the Little Rock area.
She is an author of the book, Intervention Prayers, Powerful Prayers to Rescue and Restore Your Family.
Friends, you're not going to want to miss this.
She's going to be on the broadcast with us today, but we want to start this program off.
Mondo, there are wildfires raging across the nation.
I mean, what are the news saying, like you said, they're saying this is biblical proportions?
Listen, they're wording biblical proportion, apocalyptic scenes.
I've been on the phone all throughout the night with family and friends.
Some of my family members had to be evacuated from the areas.
A lot of friends lost their homes.
And the one place I thought about, Ricky, is to recommend the Los Angeles Dream Center, a center that was part of my life, was part of Pastor Jim Baker's life.
And I can tell you that the Dream Center is taking in people that have lost everything, completely everything.
And it looks like Pastor Matthew Barnett's home is also going to be lost in this fire.
This is devastating.
This is something that is very unprecedented for Los Angeles, California.
We've never seen anything quite like this.
This is historic.
Now, we have to understand fires are part of Los Angeles, California.
The Santa Ana winds are part of the California process, but never like what we have just witnessed the last few hours where multiple fires all at the same time.
And I want to bring you back to some prophetic words that Pastor Jim Baker, your friend, has prophesied throughout the years that I thought will be very important to what we're watching right now.
One was fire is part of the last days worldwide.
The Bible calls it judgment discernment as already started throughout different parts of the land.
Prepare yourself for shocking events.
Now, this is what caught my attention right here because he had a list of areas to watch for.
One of them was to be Los Angeles, California.
The second one, Ricky, it really brings my attention to this because there's no way somebody will make plans and go to this part of the town, which is the Santa Ana part of California.
There's nothing in Santa Ana that anybody wants to plan for and go look at or even vacation, but it happens to be the Santa Ana winds that to be watching for of what is happening right now in Los Angeles, California.
I want you to watch this and then we're going to talk about it from a biblical perspective and help us pray for this.
Watch this.
This is a nightmare.
It's like a hellscape out here.
There's no other way to explain it.
This is an apocalyptic scene.
This was the biggest supermarket here in Pacific Palisades.
You can see the fire ripping through it.
You can hear the crackling of the fire, the hissing of the gases.
Debris collapsing right now.
As we're speaking, firefighters help us to do anything.
This is a Palisades fire, which has destroyed multiple homes and the businesses, forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate.
Now, this is just one of three fires in the area that is fueled by the high winds.
The winds were pushing our car.
You could feel it rocking back and forth, and you could see all the debris flying around you like you were in the middle of a hurricane.
Is a senior center that is being evacuated, and you see all of these poor people in wheelchairs, many with masks on, dealing with a lot of different issues.
And you can see that it is just absolutely just devastating out here.
This fire is growing so fast.
Hey, everyone out there, can you get out of the fabric?
All faces are good.
Everyone get out of here if you can.
All right, so this the Pacific Ocean is literally right over there.
Um, people were trying to evacuate, and the flames started coming down.
They were forced to leave their cars.
You probably heard about this.
Um, and and policemen came up to them, and witnesses said, get out of your car and run if you want to live.
The flames moved in so quickly, people who were trying to evacuate panicked.
Every car that you see here represents someone or a family that in that state of fear thought the best option was to abandon their cars and flee on foot.
A bulldozer cleared a hundred cars from the roadway to create a path for fire engines, but the fire exploding everywhere seemingly at once.
One man seen trying to use a hose to put out the flames got burned in the process.
But as you can see, even looking at this building since we came on with you, that house there's part of the structure was already on top of it.
Since we've been doing this live shot, I've been talking to you.
That top part is already starting to come down.
And right now, across this area, firefighters just can't cope with the fastness of this fire.
We need to continue to pray for them, too.
One of the things that is developing right now is Los Angeles is running out of water.
Yet, there's multiple fires all over Los Angeles area, and there's not enough water to contain the fires.
People are dying.
They're not reporting it.
That's right.
Social media is amazing because social media gives you an insight, a point of view of what's really happening in the grounds.
People are filming.
People are sharing it.
There's no lies about it.
There's no manipulation.
It is real.
It is raw.
And it is heartbreaking to see.
One of the reports was saying, Ricky, that there was over 200 senior citizens that were stuck in one of the centers and they couldn't get them out fast enough.
There was another group of people that couldn't leave the palisades.
There was no vehicles.
There was no transportation.
It was like grit down, just locked down, and people not able to move.
People leaving their cars in the middle of the streets.
It was, listen, this event are shocking.
We're watching a nation that's supposed to be a world first worldwide nation, a first-class nation.
Yet the mayor of Los Angeles, I'm not bringing blame, but it's called common sense.
And they decide to cut the budget down and they remove over $20 million from the budget from the fire budget.
Sounds of Chariots Approaching 00:02:28
That's what they call it.
And what do you do now?
We are headed into a turbulent moment in America, yet the Bible has warned us about.
Can you read this scripture?
Yeah, you said you were on the phone last night.
The Lord led you here, what, to Joel chapter 2.
This is verse 3, friends.
If you have your Bible, open it up.
It says this right here.
A fire devours in front of them and behind them a flame blazes.
And the land in front of them is like the Garden of Eden, but behind them is like a desert wasteland.
There is no escape from that.
Their appearance is like that of horses, and they gallop like war horses.
They bound on top of mountains.
Their sound is like the sound of chariots, which that is what that man was describing.
They sound like the sound of fiery flame consuming stubble, like a mighty army deployed for war.
If you listen to the way that man was describing these noises, just hissling, whistling, cry, I mean, it sounds like what you would hear, like the Bible is describing it here, the sound of chariots and army ready for.
The number one question people will always ask you is, what does the Bible have to say about what's happening?
One of the most important questions.
This is why we got to know the word.
Listen, if you haven't watched yesterday's program, I suggest you go back and watch it on VOD because God gave a word to you, Ricky, that we got to know the word.
When things fall apart, people want to know what does God have to say.
Amen.
The first mistake we make as preachers is that we want to damn everything to hell and that we want to cause division when people are in need of hope.
Prophecy is not to be used to make people fear God.
That's right.
It should bring them closer to God.
Say that again.
It should bring you closer to God.
That's it.
So the same way with trials and tribulations.
We don't weaponize prophecy.
We don't weaponize the book of Revelation to cause fear.
We use it to build faith and to bring people into the kingdom of heaven that when we see these things take place, I believe will be the greatest hour of the church.
That's right.
And when we see these things take place, what can we do?
We can run to our strong fortress, our strong tower.
Caring for Displaced Souls 00:03:21
We can hide under his wings.
There's so many Bible verses that allow us to know as believers where we can stand.
You know, we want to continue to pray for the families in California, those who are being affected by this wildfires, those who are having to flee their homes and watch them burn to the ground on television.
Continue to pray for them.
Whether you agree with the politics of California or not, people are still people.
And friends, if you're a believer in Jesus Christ, we're in the people business.
We want to make sure we take care of people.
I would encourage churches in the Nevada, the New Mexico, the Washington state area, all the connecting states to California, open your doors and let these people come in.
Give them food to eat, give them clothes to wear, give them shelter.
Because friends, if we're doing it for them, we're doing it for Christ.
Those are his words.
And we want to get food out to you immediately.
If you're a church and if you're a pastor or if you're watching and you don't have a church, but you have the money to do it and you want to order some of the food and get it immediately to a church in California.
Get it to the Dream Center.
Get it to the Assemblies of God.
Get it to the Baptist community.
I don't care who it is.
Get food right away because I want to tell you something.
There's going to be thousands of people already displaced and they're running out of food.
They're running out of water.
They're running out of essentials.
And the church is going to be the key in the middle of all this.
But what we're watching, Ricky, is the extremes that prophets, even people that have sat on this stage have prophesied that we are entering a time of convergence where things are coming together and we're going to see the extremes because at the very same time, we're watching a second winter storm coming that is threatening not only parts of Texas, that is threatening the United States.
That's right.
I want to tell you something.
This is something that we've never experienced all at the same time.
These vast extremes.
And friends, I want to say thank you to our partners.
Through every natural disaster that has been coming for essentially the last 20 years, you have allowed us to get food and water to every one of these individuals that we possibly can.
It's been through your partnership.
If you want to do the same thing you did for the hurricanes just a few months ago, the things that you've done for all these natural disasters from flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, friends, partner with us.
You can call that number.
It's 1-888-988-1588.
Mondo, a lot of people will purchase food for themselves, but then what they'll do is they'll say, Hey, I want this food to go to a natural disaster zone.
What you can do is you can get on that phone and we'll partner you with a church.
So that means it goes directly from the manufacturer to that church.
It doesn't see our buildings, our facilities, our hands.
It goes directly to that church to be able to help the people in need.
You guys have been able to really bring some worldwide relief for people who are going through pain.
And I want to say thank you to our partners.
You guys are truly the best partners in the world and you have been the hands and feet of Jesus during this time.
Again, that number is 1-888-988-1588.
We want to be able to send clean water, which New Mana has the ability to offer for us.
We want to be able to send clean food, which New Mana, as well as our affiliate program, is able to get to churches right now.
Batten Down the Hatches 00:15:43
As you can see on the screen, we have sent pallets of this clean water to disaster zones.
Friends, we want to continue to be able to do that.
I want you to watch this because this is really important.
This is a word from Rick Renner 2025.
He says, A storm is coming, batten down the hatches from our friend Rick Renner.
I received a prophetic word for 2025 and I would like to share it with you.
And immediately I heard these words: This is war, batten down the hatches.
I heard it again.
This is war, batten down the hatches.
Then a third time I heard it, this is war, batten down the hatches.
I reached for my computer, and when I put my fingers on the keyboard, I begin to hear the Lord speak and I begin to write.
And this is what I heard: a storm is coming, spiritual war, so batten down the hatches.
We're headed into a season of intense warfare on many fronts, economic, political, and spiritual.
But the Lord is a man of war, and he knows exactly how to strategize against and overcome every assault against his people and against his truth.
But just as one should batten down the hatches in a time of storms, God's people must be mentally and spiritually prepared for a stormy season that lies directly ahead.
This is what I heard the Holy Spirit say.
But with the grace of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the promises of God's word, and the weaponry he has given, we can move forward step by step with the strategic guidance of the Holy Spirit, and God will triumphantly lead his people forward and carry out his plans for this end time age.
This is not a time to fear, moan, or cry, but a time to rejoice, for God is strategically at work, even in ways you do not see.
Although it may seem the enemy and those he is influencing are attempting to derail God's purposes, remember that the one who sits in the heavens laughs at their plans and he will ultimately have them in derision, which, by the way, is what we read in Psalm 2, verse 4.
God is a man of war, and in the end, his purposes will surely prevail.
So, prophetically, I understand that we are headed into a stormy season that God has given us everything we need to navigate what is in front of us.
We've got the power of God, the promises of God, we've got the armor of God, we've got the strategic leadership of the Holy Spirit.
And my friends, God really is a man of war, and He is working His purposes for this end time age, and He will triumphantly lead us forward.
But I want to pray for you.
So, put your hand on your heart.
Father, I thank you in the name of Jesus that you have appointed us for this season.
What a privilege.
Others saw it by faith.
Others prophesied of it.
Maybe you've chosen us to live in this time.
That means we can do it and we can do it with victory and with joy.
And we embrace the season.
We thank you for all the divine armor and equipment and promises that you've given us.
And we declare that you really will triumphantly lead us forward in this end time age.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
That's a word from our friend.
Friends, we wanted to go support Rick Render's ministry.
Today on the broadcast, we did a little sneak peek, but we have with us Pastor Michelle Steele.
Pastor, how are you doing?
You're the first time on this broadcast.
I want to say welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show and the PTL Television Network.
You come from a life of addiction and crime.
You had family members who prayed for intervention prayers for you.
Tell us how that has affected your life.
Well, thank you so much for the opportunity.
Yes, intervention prayers, how God used the prayers of my family to help open a door for him to be able to come in and rescue me from the life of addiction and prostitution and crime that I was living.
And I look back at those times and I'm so thankful that there were people who knew how to intercede and how to intervene and to open the door to the power of God.
You know, you were talking today about the people who are dealing with so many different things in the fires and in the storms, the winter storms that are coming.
And when we recognize our ability to intervene and to open the door to the power of God to move in that situation, then it causes change in the circumstances.
And that's what God did.
He used the prayers of the people in my family to open the door to his power.
And he came in and rescued me.
And I'm so glad that he did.
Amen.
Amen.
Your book is called Intervention Prayers.
And I want to ask you this: what is an intervention prayer specifically?
And what motivated this title?
This is a book that is offered through Destiny Image.
We want you to go and get this book.
We believe this is going to be something that touches your life.
It says, Powerful prayers to rescue and restore your family.
But what is an intervention prayer in the grand scheme of just versus a regular prayer?
Well, an intervention prayer opens the door to power for God to intervene.
You may have remembered the show Intervention that used to air, and it would have a place where a family would make an intervention.
They would set up an intervention.
You know, a 911 call is an intervention.
When someone is experiencing an emergency and they pick up the phone and they call 911, they have now accessed the people who have the power to bring change to that situation, whether it's a car accident, someone experiencing a heart attack, someone who needs some life-giving treatment in that moment.
When you make the phone call, you are establishing that intervention for someone who has the power to come into the situation.
You know, when my family prayed those intervention prayers, I look back now and I have asked them because knowing where they were with God and the walk that they had with Him, a lot of them, it was hard for them because maybe they didn't have a confidence that God was interested in saving me.
They saw how I was living my life, and I was so far gone to their estimation that their prayers were a little more like, God, please, like they were begging and begging and begging.
And, you know, having told my testimony a number of times, I've had people come to me and they would say, Michelle, my daughter is on drugs like you were on drugs, or my son is involved in a gang, or my child has attempted suicide these many times.
And when they would begin to tell me their story, I recognized that they weren't in a position of confidence to connect the power of God to the situation.
So, intervention prayers, we want to pray effective prayers, not just begging prayers, not just prayers wanting God to do something, but actually providing that open door, providing the faith that is necessary that opens the door and stands against the power of the enemy.
Amen.
Amen.
I want to ask you this question.
For those who may have had a prodigal son or daughter or grandson or granddaughter, and they've, you know, in human minds, we can say, well, man, they have gone way too far.
They have crossed the boundary.
They've crossed the line.
They've stepped outside of my covering.
What do you say to a family member who's saying, maybe, you know, maybe there is hope for that son or daughter, grandson, or granddaughter, niece or nephew?
Maybe there is hope for them.
What would you speak to that family member right now?
Well, I think that the most important thing is for you to realize your part plays a major integral role.
When we have the relationship with God, we are at an advantage because we know him, because we have his word in our heart, because we have this open line.
Our intervention call is open all the time.
We're never put on hold.
We can access his power all of the time.
And, you know, a lot of people, because they don't have that confidence, they don't think that their prayers are making that big of a difference.
Maybe because they're looking at what they see going on in that person's life, they think that their prayers aren't being effective, but they are being effective.
You know, Abram, he had a covenant with God.
He had a confidence in God's power.
And when he got news that Lot had been taken captive, he took the covenant with God and he did what those four kingdoms couldn't do.
He, with his 318 men and his covenant with God, he rescued Lot and not only Lot, but all of the other people who had been taken captive when they had come in and taken over Sodom and Gomorrah.
Abram's confidence in his covenant provided the power of God on the situation to bring rescue, not only to his family, but to other members' family.
You know, the Shunammite woman, her prayers made that divine connection.
And when we recognize that connection is not automatic, it's because of our relationship.
It's because we're lifting up our voice and we're saying, Father, I'm asking you to intervene in the life of my son.
I'm asking you to open the eyes of my grandson's understanding so that he won't continue to walk in that way, but he'll see your goodness and he'll turn.
Those prayers are interventions.
Those are those 911 calls that mark the difference in how that is going to out, how it's going to play out.
Amen.
Absolutely.
You know, I want to read this verse to you, friends.
If you're at home, open up your Bible.
We're going to go back to the book of Joel.
We're going to go chapter two again, verse 25.
It says right here, I will repay you for the years that the swarming locusts ate, the young locusts, the destroying locusts, and the devouring locust, my great army that I've sent against you.
Verse 26 says, You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied.
You will praise the name of the Lord your God who has dwelt, dealt wonderfully with you.
My people will never again be put to shame.
Friends, you have not gone too far.
You have not done too much to not be able to be covered by the blood of Jesus.
The most precious thing that has ever existed, the blood of Jesus, friends.
He hung on that cross with you in mind.
If you're in a place, a position where you're saying, well, I feel like that prodigal child right now, friends, start walking home.
Even the prodigal child in the pig pen looked down and realized, hey, don't even my servants in my father's home get treated better than I'm getting treated right now.
I need to go home, submit myself, and just become a regular servant.
But whenever the father saw the son returning home, he ran to him.
Friend, if you're watching this right now, I want to encourage you.
Jesus is ready to run to you.
You need to turn around and take that first step home.
It'll be the best step you've ever taken.
There is restoration in the blood of Jesus.
There is redemption in the blood of Jesus because the blood of Jesus is still red.
It's still hot and it's still running, friends.
I'm telling you right now, you can call us if you need to have that prayer time where you're saying, hey, you know what?
I need someone to pray a salvation prayer with me.
Our number, it's 1-888-988-1588.
We want to pray that restoration prayer with you.
We want to pray the salvation prayer with you.
It's the most important decision you'll ever make.
And I want to ask you this.
Can you explain, Pastor, what does stock the shelves mean?
And how can we stock the shelves for our loved ones?
You know, a lot of times when we think about praying for our loved ones, we think about just making that initial request, Lord, save them.
But when we are entering into a place where we are partnering with God and we are co-laboring together with him in prayer for our loved ones, we have the ability to stock the shelves with spiritual supplies.
I walked into a grocery store one night and I thought, I've got to hurry up and get in the door because they're about to lock these doors and go out and close up for the night.
But I was surprised because when I came in, they were fully staffed.
They had pulled out boxes.
They were in the process of refurbishing all of the supplies, restocking the shelves for the next day.
And what we do in prayer is we come into that situation where here we've got a loved one who's not walking with God.
You know, intervention prayers really emphasize things that are when you have loved ones who are in addiction, they're dealing with mental illnesses, they're dealing with destructive behaviors and destructive lifestyles.
They need everything stocked in their life.
There's going to come a time, you know, our prayers can't make them do anything, but our prayers can have all the answers surrounding them so that when they are in that position where they're looking for God's help or they're searching for spiritual answers, they don't have to look far because we've stocked the shelves and in their life, there's wisdom flowing.
There's those scriptures that you can pray from Ephesians chapter 1 and Ephesians chapter 3 and Colossians, where we are saying, Lord, I pray that you would open the eyes of their understanding, that they would have the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of you.
Lord, that my child would approve of that which is excellent.
Those scriptures provide spiritual supplies that are on hand for our loved ones to be able to reach out and get what they need from God in those dire moments.
Amen.
What a beautiful thing.
Friends, I want to encourage you, go to that affiliate program.
You can call our number.

They'll have the logos for Harrison House and Destiny image as well.
It's all in one box.
Click that, and you can find intervention prayers by Pastor Michelle Steele.
It's powerful prayers to rescue and restore your family.
Mondo, we know a lot, you know, it's 2025.
We're looking up, maybe some things have changing in our nation for the better, but there's still a lot of families that need to be rescued and a lot of family members that need to be restored.
I have another cousin of mine that his mother, you know, we're cousin by family.
Yes.
His mother committed suicide, was tired of dealing with her addiction of drinking.
Dealing with Severe Loss and Loneliness 00:01:39
These are real problems that we all deal with.
Yet, you watch us on TV, you watch us smiling, you're watching us, yet we also have to have prayers of intervention for our own families.
That's right.
What I'm trying to tell you is that we are reflecting what America's families are dealing with today.
That's right.
They're dealing with severe loss.
They're dealing with severe loneliness.
People are dealing with severe addictions like we've never seen before.
People that are feeling so lonely.
This generation is considered one of the loneliest generations that has ever been.
Yes.
And I want to tell you something.
If we, as the church, if we as people, if we as family don't start intervening in prayer for our loved ones, then who is?
Yes.
I want to tell you something.
We need help.
We need to understand.
And this is why I believe that the prayers, the intervention prayers that we have put together in this book is something that will help us understand how do we pray?
What circumstances?
It's time that we as the church need to go back into prayer.
What happened to the prayer?
What happened to people that used to pray for the Sunday school teachers and the Sunday school classes?
What happened to us that we used to spend time in prayer?
Praying for Divine Guidance 00:09:31
I'm not talking about asking for God to move on your behalf financially.
I'm talking about getting on our knees and praying so we can meet God face to face.
When was the last time we sought God, not for a new car, not for a new house, but seek God for prayer to see our people that are hurting be restored?
Because Ricky, you and I were contended for so we don't lose our lives.
That's right.
And my sister prayed day in and day out without seeing any results for two years.
She intervened with prayer and fasting for my life until God began to answer prayers.
I believe this right here is one of the reasons why my sister never gave up.
And that is day four.
Take God at his word.
Take God at his word.
Amen.
Can I ask you this, Pastor?
How do we have the faith to take God at his word that he will do what we're asking prayer for?
It is a determination to let the word of God override everything you see in the natural, everything you see that person doing, the things that the emotions that come up with that, all of the thoughts.
We've got to take them and set them to the side.
And we've got to come to the place where we are so convinced that it is God's will to save our loved ones more.
He's not moved by the way that they're living.
He's not put off at the way that they have brickwalled him in the times past.
His desire is to see them free.
And when we bring our desire in line with that, with that confidence, take God at his word.
You know, I've encountered so many people and they think they're twisting God's arm.
They're trying to talk God into saving their children.
God's already on board.
He does not need us to convince him to save them.
He needs us.
Our faith that says, Lord, it's your will to save them and your will on heaven.
Let it be done here on the earth.
I bring my faith in agreement.
Lord, you want to save them.
I stand against what the enemy is trying to do.
What your sister did for you, Mondo, was she released a supply of faith that built a road for God to be able to come into your heart and to rescue you and to set you free.
And taking God at his word is allowing his word to prevail over the emotions and the things that we feel and see by the temporary situation.
And we look beyond to eternity and we say, God promised me the salvation of my family.
He promised me the salvation.
He promised that if I asked, I would receive.
And I'm asking for the life of my loved one today.
Amen.
What a powerful word.
Friends, we have a more sure word.
Open up your Bible.
Get to know your Bible.
Read it every single day.
Read it twice a day, friends.
You need to become the most biblically literate person that you know.
Fall in love with the word of God because this is our more sure word.
It's 66 books of guidance.
It's 66 books of direction on how we are supposed to live our lives.
Friends, that doesn't mean you'll be perfect.
Yes, you'll fall down, but a righteous man falls down and gets back up, friends.
I want to encourage you, know the word of God so well.
Have it dwell in your heart.
Have it sit on the throne of your heart, friends.
The word of God is so important.
Why?
Because that's how we get to know God more.
Yes, we'll have intimacy with him through our prayer times, through our fasting.
But friends, when we get to know the word of God, somebody said one time, Mondo, if you want to hear the voice of God, read your Bible out loud.
He had this written for us, friends, so that we could have instruction, understanding, so that we can be corrected even at times where you say, hey, I think I got it all figured out.
And I open up my word and I realize, no, I didn't have it all figured out.
I wasn't living the right way.
I wasn't doing the right things.
I didn't have the correct perspectives.
Friends, this will never fail us.
Why?
Because it is what God has given us, friends.
There are those who really kind of rip the Bible apart nowadays, Mondo.
They say, well, you know, it was written by humans and maybe we didn't understand the exact context.
We didn't understand this.
There's looking for excuses to not trust the word of God.
But friends, I'll tell you right now, God gave us this for a reason.
Fall in love with the word of God.
Fall in love with Jesus more every single day.
Wake up every day and say, how can I learn more about Jesus and fall more in love with him today?
I promise you, you'll change the perspective.
If you're just tuning in right now, this is the PTL Television Network.
We have Pastor Michelle Steele with us today.
This is an incredible testimony.
I encourage you, go back to the beginning of the show.
Watch this from the start.
If you're watching this on video on demand or if you're watching this live, I encourage you, go to video on demand, the PTL television app.
It's available on your Android device, your iPhone device, Mondo.
We have it on Amazon Firestick, Apple TV, Roku.
Essentially, I'm going to be honest with you, anywhere we can get the gospel out.
I don't care if it's YouTube to Apple TV, anywhere we can get the gospel out and let you listen to these powerful testimonies, these powerful prophets, and these powerful words of God coming from this platform.
We want to get it out there.
So if there's a new social media site up, send me an email.
We're going to sign up for it.
We're going to get the word of God being sent out there.
But this is only done through your support, friends.
This is only done through your monthly donations, through your one-time donations.
So I want to say thank you to our partners.
You're the reason we get to bring incredible guests like the pastor we're interviewing today.
But continue to support.
Continue to stand with us.
We're in the middle of a finish line fundraiser right now.
We're so close to the finish line of being debt-free entirely as a ministry.
And that will be a huge burden off our shoulders so that we can continue to broadcast.
And then what we can do with that is expand as well, Mondo.
We were at about 24 distribution outlets.
We went down to about two after some 2020 COVID debacle, but it's okay because we're building that back up through the faithfulness of our partners.
We want to be there when things are happening like what's happening in California right now.
Homes are being destroyed.
Literally, the face of Los Angeles has changed within the last 24 hours.
And Christian television should be in the middle of that, praying, giving you an account on what's happening.
Listen, if the news are able to do that, why couldn't we do it through the gospel and round up prayer warriors live?
That's right.
Pastors, local pastors, and show you live what the body of Christ can do in the middle of a disaster.
Amen.
We have the opportunity right now to stand together and sow a seed in this season to understand how to discern the times that we're in right now.
It is the church that does it through tithing, is the church that does it through giving.
It is the church that does it.
Listen, there is nothing wrong with money.
The Bible says in Proverbs that money answers all things.
It is the love of money that is the root of all evil.
It's the love that you have behind it.
But I want to tell you something.
Money has been used to preach the gospel all over the world.
Money has been used to build missionary sites like never before.
You dug wells.
Absolutely.
And the church has to stop cursing money.
The church has to stop cursing what God has blessed, but it's the intention that we use it with in order to fulfill the gospel.
Amen.
I want to tell you something.
I want to pray over God, over you, that God will restore your faith in financial situations for your household, for your ministry, because I want to tell you something.
In the time that we're in right now, we are going to need one another to be able to survive.
That's right.
And more than that, to be able to continue to do what God has called us to do.
I pray in the name of Jesus right now that your faith is restored in the blessings that God has blessed you with.
Amen.
Don't curse the blessing.
Use it to preach the gospel.
Use it to fulfill the commandments to be able to spread the word all over the world.
We need your support today.
Call the number right now.
Commit that you will stand with us and know that together we're fulfilling the very, very scripture.
The Great Commission.
Preach.
Oh, man, you're getting into my song.
I'm getting into his message.
The Great Commission.
That's right.
Friends, we have to continue to do that.
I want to say thank you today.
We received the very first faith seed offering for this finished line fundraiser.
So I want to say thank you.
It came right here from inside our home here at Morningside in the Branson area.
And I want to say thank you to that individual.
It's such a blessing.
So God bless you.
And we're going to continue to see that go through.
But this is the reason we get to continue to interview the people we do and bring you an uncensored 24-hour a day television network where we can let the prophet say the prophet's word.
We can let the pastor preach their message that God has given them with no censorship and no restraints on it.
Plead the Blood 00:06:27
Again, you're watching the PTL Television Network.
I want to thank you.
We have today with us Pastor Michelle Steele.
Pastor, I want to ask you this question.
You have a chapter in your book that is available on our affiliate site through Harrison House.
You have this chapter called Mark Your Loved Ones as Off Limits to Satan.
I want you to walk us through that process and help us know how do we do that effectively.
The most important thing to be able to mark your loved ones as off-limits to Satan is to build your faith in the blood of Jesus.
When you begin to recognize that the blood of Jesus is not only a cleansing agent for us personally, but it is a protective force over our lives.
When we see the blood applied on the doorposts of the houses in the book of Exodus, it was a protection against the enemy, the destroyer, being able to enter and to harm anyone in that house.
And the blood still works for your household today.
And you apply the blood with your tongue.
In the Old Testament, they took hyssop and they dipped it in the blood and they applied it to the doorposts.
But you are a person of faith.
And what you do by faith with the application of the blood is you believe it in your heart.
You take that blood and you begin to plead the blood over your children.
When we plead the blood, we mark a line.
We mark a boundary and we're allowing that the spiritual enemy forces are recognizing there's a boundary around my loved one and you will not take their life.
You will not destroy them.
I'm marking them as off-limits to you.
And you are establishing that resistance by your faith in the blood.
So it starts with faith.
You've got to build your own personal faith in what the blood of Jesus will do.
You've got to see the blood as a force, as a supernatural power supply that will protect and will establish a line that, you know, when in the Battle of Ibo Jima, we had that famous picture of the Marines who were lifting up that banner.
They were lifting up something to mark this territory is no longer under the enemy control.
This territory is under the control of the allied forces.
When you plead the blood, when your faith in the blood comes out of your heart through your mouth and you begin to apply the blood over that loved one, you are raising up that banner and you are saying, my child is not under the domain of enemy territory.
My child is not under the authority of the enemy to take their life or your loved one or whoever it may be.
You are establishing that the Lord Jesus Christ is the one who is in authority here and his salvation will prevail in the life of my loved one.
So it starts with faith in the blood.
Wow.
Faith in the blood.
Power in the blood.
That's right.
What are you?
You always say something that resonates to me every time you say it, that the blood is still red.
That's right.
The blood is still hot.
It's still red and it's still flowing, good to cover every sin, every iniquity, every disease.
Because, friends, we have to remember what was done there.
God's outside of our scope of time.
He's not living this linear life like we are.
No, he's beyond it, friends.
That blood is still good for today as it was good for yesterday, as it will be good forever and ever and ever.
We can't get away from the blood.
I realize a lot of pastors in their culture, especially my generation pastors, I'm only 27 years old, but we see a lot of pastors pulling away from preaching messages on the blood of Jesus because they're like, well, I don't want to seem kooky and I don't want a brand new member to come into the church and we're talking about someone's blood and being covered in blood.
And I'm like, no, no, we need to get back to the preaching of the blood of Jesus because that is what washes us white as snow.
I want to tell you something.
I had a dream the other day where in this dream, this demon, I've never had this happen before.
I had this demon that was choking me and shaking me.
And my wife told me that I was shaking in my sleep, but I can feel this, you know, I saw this demon shaking me and trying to choke me.
And the only things that were coming out of my mouth was, I plead the blood of Jesus over me.
In the name of Jesus, I plead the blood.
I plead the blood.
When I said it three times, this demon let me go.
And I jumped and I woke up.
This was around 3 a.m.
And I sat up and I just said, I plead the blood.
And I can feel the room was cold.
You ever felt that room was cold and you can sense somebody is in that room?
I didn't have fear, but the only things that I was able to say out of my mouth was, I plead the blood of Jesus over my house.
The most important thing you can say.
The most important thing.
Amen.
I didn't say, bless my car.
Bless my house.
Bless my dog.
Bless my children.
No, I was pleading the blood of Jesus.
That's how powerful the name, the pleading of the blood is so important.
And I want to tell you something.
It's time for you to plead the blood.
Amen.
Don't be afraid of the blood.
There's power in the blood.
It makes people nervous.
It makes people go, oh, you're getting too religious.
Well, I don't care anymore.
If I'm too religious to plead the blood, you know what?
Then make me religious.
But there's something about the blood, Ricky, that the old timers used to sing.
Amen.
I always say, I think I'm going to sing in heaven because I dream of singing a lot.
But if I could sing to you right now, I will sing there's power in the blood.
That's right.
Throughout your day, sing about the power of the blood.
It will unleash the power of the Holy Spirit in your life.
That's right.
Amen.
And that truly is one of the roots of our salvation.
The reason that we can be brought close to Jesus is because he shed that blood to redeem us.
Praying for the Roots 00:13:03
Now, Pastor, you say this.
You say pray for the root, not the fruit.
You say that in your book.
I want you to explain what that means and what are some of the ways that we can be praying for the roots.
Well, when we are looking at a loved one who is living a life of destruction, they're an addiction, whatever the case may be, a lot of times we are praying based on what we're seeing in their lives.
And anytime you allow, you pray after you watch the news, you are behind the time because that's already happened.
When you back up and you begin to say, okay, wait a minute, let me go to the root of the problem.
Instead of praying about what I see, instead of praying about what they're doing, and instead of praying about the battle that they're fighting, let me go to the real issue and begin to pray that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened, that they may know what is the hope of God's calling for them, that they would know what is the height and the depth and the width and the breadth of the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
To begin to pray and recognize the answer.
Let me pray the answer.
Let me pray the real root is they need to know Jesus.
They need to have this deception broken off of their mind.
They need to have an understanding that God really loves them.
Then we are putting ourselves ahead of the news broadcast, so to speak.
We're ahead of what is apparent and we're going to the real root of the problem.
I remember one minister, a lady came to him and she said, would you pray for my son?
And he said, I'm not going to do it.
And she said, what do you mean?
And he said, you are always badgering him.
You tell him how the horrible kid he is.
You tell him how lost he is.
And he said, what you need to do is you need to surround him with faith and love.
And so instead of telling him everything he was doing wrong, she started getting on the spiritual response side and started praying for those answers, praying for the light to shine and for the understanding.
And so many times we get so caught up in praying based on what we see.
You know, one of the things that I talk about, do I have just one more minute?
Please, this is your show right now.
You continue on.
Let me tell you one of my favorite stories that came to me from a person who was praying for their loved one.
They had a son who was involved in manufacturing meth, and he was in a gang that was manufacturing like a huge tri-state gang that was, it was dangerous, that was hit men and a lot of crime just beyond the meth amphetamine.
And this man was a pastor.
He was praying for his son.
He'd raised him in church.
He'd raised him to know the things of God.
And he was seeking God about how to pray.
And that's why we've got to recognize it's not just that one petition of, oh, Lord, save them, but I'm co-laboring with God.
If we'll let the Holy Spirit lead us, he'll show us ways to pray that we wouldn't have ever thought about in our own thinking.
And that's what happened to this pastor.
This pastor was praying for his son, and the Lord brought to him a scripture from Hosea.
And it's a scripture about thorns in the road.
It says, I will hedge up his path.
It's actually talking about Gomer, who had gone away from Hosea.
And the Lord said, I will hedge up her way with thorns.
And the Lord gave him that scripture and told him to get, began to pray that his son's path would be hedged up, that he wouldn't be able to continue down that path.
And I do want to clarify, we're not praying for God to wrap him around a telephone pole.
God doesn't want to hurt them.
He wants to stop them from hurting themselves.
And that's what this man began to pray.
He began to take that scripture out of Hosea and he began to pray, Lord, hedge up his thorns.
Don't let him continue on this path.
Stop him.
And so God's now given him a scripture.
And this man who was involved in this gang, God began to, there was confusion in the gang and they all started turning on each other and it disbanded.
And right before the state police came in and did a sting, God got this man out of that situation because there was a person praying an intervention prayer with their ear to the voice of God to hear how to pray the root of the problem instead of just dealing with the fruit.
Praise God.
You know, we just have a few minutes left in our broadcast.
I want to ask you this one last question.
You emphasize praying with the leading of the Holy Spirit as well as praying in tongues.
You say, many times I didn't know how or what to pray about my loved one's situations.
I prayed as far as I could with the knowledge I possessed, but I sensed in my heart that there was more going on and I needed to stay with it.
So how did you learn to know the leading of the Holy Spirit in prayer?
And how vital is it to spend time praying in the spirit, praying in tongues?
Well, both are connected.
And yet, sometimes when people pray in the Holy Spirit, praying in tongues, they let their mind vacate.
They let their mind go on autopilot and they just pray in tongues without staying engaged.
And when we're praying in the Holy Spirit, we're receiving strength, but it says that we're edifying and being built up by praying in the Spirit.
But also, when we're praying in the spirit, we're praying the mystery.
So, we're praying the things that we don't know.
And there are a lot of things when our loved ones are in addiction or they're in a destructive lifestyle.
We don't know what got them to that point.
We don't know that key issue that's keeping them following that path, but he does.
And if we pray in the Holy Spirit with our faith engaged, and I'll tell you one way that helps me: when I pray in the Holy Spirit, I will stop and I'll say, I release my faith that I have prayed the mystery of this situation.
I've prayed according to the will of God, and I release my faith now that this mystery is coming forth.
And what I've prayed was the answer to this situation.
But there's also a praying with the leading, and like that pastor who the Lord led him to a specific scripture to use.
You know, the scripture is like the toolbox we need.
There are specific verses.
There have been times that the Lord has had me stay on a specific verse for my loved one, whether it be a lot of times it's the Lord.
I pray that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened, because what's causing the problem is they're deceived.
The deception is working against them.
And I prayed it yesterday, but the enemy put some new deception on them last night.
I need to pray it again.
So there's some scriptures that he'll lead us to pray.
There's some specific things that he'll have us to pray for where our loved ones are concerned.
So we want to look at our intervention praying as something that we are partnering and co-laboring together with the Lord.
Amen.
Intervention prayers, I want you to go get this book.
Our number is 1-888-988-1588 or go to jimbakershow.com.
There you will find our Nori Media Harrison House Destiny Image affiliate.
It's all in one little link, or you can scan the QR code on the screen as well.
I know a lot of people are getting used to the scanning of QR codes.
I know the 2020 pandemic really helped people.
You know, you went to a restaurant, you had to scan it because they weren't giving you many more.
So people are getting used to QR codes now.
You can scan that if you want.
But I want you to get this book, Intervention Prayers: Powerful Prayers to Rescue and Restore Your Family by Pastor Michelle Steele.
Powerful testimony.
Friends, if you're just tuning in, this is the end of the broadcast.
I want you to go back to the beginning of this broadcast and watch everything that Pastor Michelle Steele has been talking about.
These are things that I believe can truly unlock some things in your life.
I'm telling you right now, friends, this is going to be a wonderful book.
This is a guidebook.
Get this for you, your family, your loved one, your pastor, whoever you think needs to know how to pray these intervention prayers.
Mondo, if I was going to be saying it, I think everybody needs to know how to really be praying powerful intervention prayers.
And it builds your faith.
That's right.
It builds your prayer time, your devotion time.
And I want to tell you something.
One of the greatest ways to communicate with God is through prayer and supplication.
The aftermath can only be revealed if we gather together as God's people in Matthew 18 and 19, in agreement we come together.
Intervention prayers is what we need together.
Amen.
God loves you so much that he gives us, you know, the ability to pray for one another.
Come on, the keys to the kingdom, friends.
This is the ability.
Mondo's life was changed because he had a sister who was praying for him probably every single day.
I mean, if not multiple times a day.
I mean, but that's the reason your life was changed because you said she asked you those powerful questions.
You can get it in your book, but then she was praying for you.
You felt those prayers protect you.
And I mean, you lived a lifestyle that very easily could have ended your life at any point.
Pastor just said it through the show, and I'm going to steal it from you, Pastor.
I'm going to borrow it.
Let's say that.
But faith is building those roads to you.
Amen.
Sister in her prayer time, having faith for me was building those roads that I can come back to.
And I want to tell you something.
We do that for each other.
It changes everything.
That means that when you pray for this ministry, you're building a road where we can continue to preach the gospel around the world.
When you're praying for us, you're building the faith that we can build that road to pay the back debt, going to new stations, understanding that preaching the gospel is what God has called us to do, and being a watchman on the wall.
This ministry, being a watchman to see what's happening, but how to pray for what we're watching for so God can create a miracle.
You know what?
Intervention is when you sow a seed and you're intervening what we're going through.
Man, this can preach for hours.
Amen.
And Pastor Michelle Steel, we want to thank you for being on the broadcast with us today.
We hope you would come back.
What a powerful book!
But I want to say thank you again for being on the Jim Baker Family Show and the PTL television network.
It was an honor to have you with us today.
We'll hopefully have you back again sometime soon.
Friends, if you're standing with us in this network, we want you to continue to do that.
Your monthly support is the reason that we can continue to bring powerful guests like Pastor Michelle Steele on this broadcast and promote really a wonderful book, Intervention Prayers, Friend.
We want to continue to be able to do that.
We want you to lock in with us on this finish line fundraiser.
Friends, this isn't just frivolous and we say, oh, we just need to do a fundraiser just to do it for the sake of it.
We're humbling ourselves.
We're saying, hey, friend, we need you to partner with us.
We need you to stand with us as you've done for so many times.
Your friend, Pastor Jim Baker, this has come through much prayer and conversation with him where he says, you know what?
If anybody in the world is going to make sure we get the gospel out there, it's our partners.
I want to pray with you right now.
Jesus, thank you for our partners.
Thank you for protecting them.
Thank you for putting your hand and your hedge of protection over them, their families, their loved ones.
I want to say thank you for guiding them in the right direction in every situation in their lives, Lord God.
If they have prodigals in their family, let them come home.
If they are the prodigal Jesus, let them take that 180 and that first step back to you.
Jesus, we do this all in your name because you're king and you are on the throne.
You are the mighty one.
In your name we pray.
Amen.
Friends, I want you to call that number.
It's 1-888-988-1588.
Go to jimbakershow.com.
There's a donate button there.
I want you to stand with us.
We need your support more than ever before.
We want to get over this finish line and be able to preach the gospel across the entire world because, friends, Jesus is coming back soon.
And we want to provide an uncensored platform for the prophet, for the prophet, for the pastor, and for the speaker to come on here and tell you about Jesus and how you can know him better.
Friends, remember this: that God loves you.
He really does.
Bye-bye for today.
Thank you for tuning in with Pastor Michelle Steele.
Thank you, brother.
Thank you.
