Can't Keep Band-Aiding Our Grid
00:02:02
|
|
| Our grid is the it's just the big, big mistake that our leaders have made by not bringing it up to date. | |
| Our grid is antiquated. | |
| It is a very old grid. | |
| And they just keep adding to it instead of fixing it and hardening it. | |
| And so you need to be ready because the crisis will come. | |
| Frank, when the Texas grid failed during the ice storm in 2021, if you remember that. | |
| I do. | |
| It was reported that there were only four and a half minutes away from a total collapse of the grid in that region. | |
| Why has the grid been allowed to become so antiquated, do you think, in America? | |
| Oh, boy. | |
| Just nobody's taking responsibility, you know, whether political parties or whatever the case may be. | |
| And nobody wants to step up and do what needs to be done because of the cost to totally redo the grid. | |
| And so they band-aid it just to keep it going and put our hard-earned money into other stupid stuff. | |
| Yes, you're right. | |
| Well, you just can't keep putting band-aids on a grid. | |
| You just can't keep adding another extension cord. | |
| No, it's a 140-year-old grid that really hasn't been updated. | |
| You know, so again, you know, we are in a very vulnerable situation from our grid. | |
| And, you know, what we're talking about, if you are prepared, you shall not fear. | |
| But I can't even fathom what we're going to be getting into. | |
