Why We Prioritize Health
00:02:35
|
|
| I haven't thought about this, but I, you know, I've been taking it for, how long would you think I've been taking it, Laurie? | |
| You're taking it longer than me, I think. | |
| Past six months. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And so my sugar numbers, and I take my sugar every day. | |
| So my sugar numbers are around 100 and 100, 100, 125. | |
| And below 100, they're 90-something sometimes. | |
| So they're very low. | |
| There's no question. | |
| Those are good numbers, especially at our age. | |
| Do you mind me? | |
| How old are you, Frank Davis? | |
| In a month, I'll be 77. | |
| Wow. | |
| Double perfection. | |
| 77. | |
| You look good. | |
| Well, thank you. | |
| You're going to be 80. | |
| I'm closer to 80 than I am 75 right now. | |
| No, but I mean, forgive me for saying that, but I judge everybody by 80 because I'm over 80 now. | |
| And so how long do you plan to live? | |
| Well, my main goal is to not slowly die and then just want to live a full life all the way to the end. | |
| And I have control over how I do that, believe me. | |
| You do. | |
| I think there's two things that, you know, the physical health, you know, God gave us a body and He told us it was a temple and to treat it like a temple. | |
| That's right. | |
| And we should be doing that. | |
| But the combination between taking care of our body and I believe exercising faith are the two key elements for good health. | |
| Yes. | |
| Amen. | |
| Totally. | |
| But sometimes it's hard, if you are struggling with health, it's kind of hard to focus on your spiritual side. | |
| It sure is. | |
| That's what's happening. | |
| And so that's why I think taking care of our body is so critical that we can perform in the other areas of our life, or the emotional things we have to deal with, our spiritual health, all of that is tied into how we feel. | |
| If we feel like a slug and we don't want to have energy or motivation to do anything, we don't. | |
| That's right. | |
