High On The Holy Spirit

|
| In the book you said, God has called us to get high every single day, high on the Holy Spirit. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And you know, I learned that principle in public high school. | |
| I was in a public high school, 1,800 kids, and played football. | |
| And, of course, all the guys are always talking about the next party, the next girl, the next high. | |
| And I saw, in that moment, I had an opportunity to either just criticize them and call them stupid and just maybe try to make them go to church on a Sunday morning and just, you know, just oppose them. | |
| Or I had a thought. | |
| I said, what if this feeling of high, what if this euphoria is just a perverted version of the Holy Spirit? | |
| And what if the Bible says in Ephesians 5, do not be drunk and wine, as you suppose, but be filled with the Holy Spirit and be being filled. | |
| And so when it comes to us getting high, we are called to get high every single day on the Holy Ghost. | |
| And we're called to show the world the much better high that doesn't cost money and doesn't send you to jail. | |
