God's Only Son

| You said something in social media the other day. | |
| You said, you're not God's second choice. | |
| I like that. | |
| And you're not God's last resort. | |
| Do you think this is how the devil deceits God's children? | |
| Yeah. | |
| You know, my whole life, I've never felt good enough. | |
| But God says you're his by God sending his own only son and any parents out there, any grandparents, you know the feeling that you have when you have only one son. | |
| And even you guys are expressing, you have many children, but you're expressing your discomfort with him flying out of planes all the time. | |
| Yeah, I have. | |
| That didn't sit you right. | |
| Now, of course, he loved him. | |
| He's gone all the time. | |
| He loved it. | |
| It's like jumping on a barrel. | |
| Why, though? | |
| Because you have such the heart of a father. | |
| But here's what I'm getting at, though. | |
| The value that God has placed on you, that he would send his own son to the cross to pay the price. | |
| The Bible says in 1 Peter, you were not bought with gold or silver or millions of followers or millions of dollars or the American budget or the American debt budget. | |
| You weren't worth those things. | |
| You're worth much more. | |
| You're worth the blood of his son. | |
| And that value, that precious value that God has given us is what we're called to walk in the throne room. | |
| I'll end it with this. | |
| In the throne room, we are not strangers. | |
| You are not an orphan. | |
| And I finally want to touch on this because I keep hearing this in my heart. | |
| In America, we've gotten way too used to marketing everything out where we've departmentalized our relationship with God, where we've now put our walk with God as, oh yeah, that's why I have a pastor. | |
| Oh yeah, that's why I watch the show. | |
| Oh yeah, that's why, oh, they do that for me. | |
| Pastor Jim, he does that for me. | |
| He knows God, so like, I'm good. | |
| I'm just going to watch him and then I'll feel good about my relationship with God. | |
| No, stop that. | |
| We are here to empower you to get closer to God on your own. | |

| And when we know that, when we walk in that place of intimacy with God, it'll change everything where we won't be relying on other things and sources, but Jesus will be our source. | |
