Enjoying the Moment
00:03:37
|
|
| Enjoy the moment. | |
| And I can't tell you how many times I will be doing whatever in life. | |
| And I'll hear Don's voice in my head. | |
| Lori, enjoy the moment. | |
| Oh. | |
| And I just take it and take that breath and go, okay. | |
| You know, maybe I'm holding the grandbaby. | |
| Maybe whatever. | |
| Oh, meditate on scripture. | |
| And I see you doing this all the time. | |
| You're always, you're always quoting scripture, Don. | |
| Isn't he, Mary? | |
| Yeah. | |
| He's like, we go out to eat with him when we first arrived in Dallas. | |
| And Jim was resting. | |
| So the four of us go mound doing us too. | |
| We can just, he would love all of our stories that we tell you. | |
| So they're just sitting there. | |
| And all Don does is quote scripture. | |
| I mean, there's a lot of people around and he's eating and he's just giving the word and he just couldn't stop. | |
| And I like the first two hours of our morning, the first two hours of every morning of our life is the word of God is going forth. | |
| He wants to know. | |
| No news. | |
| I turn the bad. | |
| I have to tell you, this is a shift. | |
| He wasn't always this way. | |
| There was a period in time in our life I would tell him, say, Don, did you notice that building that was going up on the way to where he'd go, what? | |
| What building? | |
| Oh, would you notice they planted all new flowers out? | |
| I said, no. | |
| But this was years ago. | |
| God slowed me down. | |
| Right. | |
| And said, start enjoying the present. | |
| He told him, he said, Don, get in my rhythm. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Get in God's rhythm because that's part of enjoying. | |
| And when we get in God's rhythm, stress goes away is what I've learned. | |
| And when we meditate and focus on the word and pray in the spirit, literally, you can't be in stress. | |
| It insulates you from all stress. | |
| And in all things, give thanks. | |
| That's one of the most powerful things I have learned to give thanks and to bless the Lord at all times as praise shall continually be in my mouth. | |
| Amen. | |
| And then you can, as you walk your life, you can hear the voice of the Lord. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And one instant, give you a perfect example. | |
| Don and I were preaching with T.L. Osborne in England. | |
| That was you. | |
| And we were coming back and we were flying over Iceland, Greenland. | |
| Greenland. | |
| Greenland. | |
| And I looked down and I saw little snowflakes on the water. | |
| And I thought, that's not snowflakes. | |
| Those are icebergs. | |
| And I was thinking, looking at it. | |
| And all of a sudden, I heard the Holy Spirit say, look at that engine. | |
| And I looked out my window to the right and saw the engine. | |
| He goes, that engine's trying to turn off. | |
| And I just begin, in the name of Jesus, don't you even think about it. | |
| She started praying in the spirit. | |
| She's speaking to the engine. | |
| This is where you walk in the spirit and you hear the spirit of God. | |
| You'll be able to hear him clearer to walk in the spirit. | |
| And Don goes, what are you doing? | |
| I go, you don't want to know. | |
| It's just praying in the spirit. | |
| I'm praying in the spirit. | |
| And I'm just, I'm speaking to it and command it. | |
| So we land in Orlando. | |
| We land in Atlanta because when you come out of the country, you have to go through customs, the customs. | |
| And I wanted to leave my stuff on the plane because that was the plane we were also going to take to Orlando. | |
| And the lady goes, no, ma'am, you've got to take everything off the plane. | |
| When you come in with the husband, it's got to go through. | |
| And I'm thinking, ah, we're taking this same plane. | |
| So we walk around and we come back to the counter and we're standing there waiting to get on the plane. | |
| 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour. | |
| Go up to the counter and go, what is going on? | |
| She goes, we don't know. | |
| The right engine won't turn on. | |
| Wow. | |
| Wow. | |
| It was true. | |
| Praise God because I was praying in the spirit. | |
| Literally, I'm convinced her praying in the spirit prevented that engine from shutting down me. | |
| Praise God. | |
| But you walked out. | |
