Transgender Dancing Assignment 00:02:25
I got kids.
Here's a live story.
Do you have children?
Oh, yeah.
Let me tell you an up-to-date story.
This happened to our house.
My daughter was seven years old.
She's nine now.
She's nine, but she, and we lived in Texas at the time, the Bible Belt.
We were in the buckle, the Dallas Metroplex.
And my daughter got sent home an assignment from her elementary school that had transgender dancing, drag queen dancing in it.
And you know what her assignment was?
To write her emotions down when she watched it.
I've got a great wife.
She watched all the assignments.
She looked at them and she said, Joe, get in here.
So I looked at it and I said, okay, this is something that I'm going to have to stand up for right now because this is my kids.
And if other people want to teach this to their kids, they can do it in their home.
But this is my child and I don't believe like this.
So we wrote the principal.
I called an individual that you know well, and they were putting me in contact with a lawyer.
And I was ready to go and take this as far as it needed to go because my kids were not going to sit under this kind of ideology and teaching.
How can a seven-year-old process that fast around?
They can't even process puberty.
They don't know what sex is between heterosexuals.
They don't understand any of that.
My daughter didn't even know really male anatomy at all.
You know, I mean, she's seven.
And here's what they did.
They backed off.
They repented.
They said, this will never happen again.
We're sorry.
And so it just takes one at a time doing that.
Now, I was prepared to get a lawyer and lose everything because this is prophetic.
This is a Bonhoeffer moment.
America is being changed.
Now, I'm older than you, and I've been around when America was a simpler place.
80 years ago, it was a simpler nation, right, people?
Church's Call to Prayer 00:05:19
Yes.
And I'm telling you, it's a different nation.
And we're accepting.
And that's why I'm so shocked that hospitals are doing these sex.
Major hospitals in America are doing sex change operations.
Doctors are giving them hormone blockers, doing all these things that will in the, I believe, destroy our children and their anti-Bible.
The things that we're talking about are in the Bible.
So how is the church going to come against this is a tidal wave of society that's changing the world and changing America.
How do you see this as one of the leaders of one of the great denominations of the world?
When 12 years ago, when I was seeing the shift in America, I thought I need to get involved in politics.
And I felt the Lord speak to me.
No, Joe, politics aren't going to change America.
I'm the only one that can, Jesus.
That's true.
And so I really began to pray.
And what we're facing right now, look, every one of these people that are involved in this, God loves them.
Yes, he does.
God loves every doctor that'll perform this.
He loves every parent that signs off on this.
He loves everyone that's involved in this lifestyle.
So what we've got to do as believers, I believe we have to come across as very genuine, compassionate.
Because sometimes when people hear this, I was doing an outreach one time in front of about 20 gay bars, and we were sharing the gospel.
For the first 10 years of my life, the Lord called me to that kind of ministry.
I would go there just in love.
And one day, some people were very angry.
And this guy stood up, and it was very telling to me.
He stood in front of the antagonizers and formed a circle around us and said, these are all Democrats.
None of them are Republicans is what he said.
Because he viewed Republicans, and I'm not being political here, but he believed that as they hate us, they don't love us.
And we were showing love.
So we've got to come across.
Sometimes people, they hear our language and they think it's hateful or mad or mean.
There's nothing mad or antagonistic about this.
We love.
And all of that being said in context, I don't think there's an articulation that we can make right now that'll change America.
We're at the place right now where we need a sovereign, God-sent awakening from heaven above to sovereignly come through our prayer.
An hour or two of prayer a day is not going to get it.
Listen, if you're a Christian and you're concerned about this, what we once did, we can't still continue to do.
I've shifted my life around to where as I lead the prayer center, I try to spend about four hours a day in prayer and devotion every day because every move of God that was ever taken place in the Bible or modern day awakening history, William Seymour was praying seven hours a day before Azusa.
The women before the Hebrides revival.
Steve Hill during the Brownsville revival prayed seven to nine hours every day, fasted every day, and didn't eat until after service.
If we're going to see this shift, we can't do it through articulation or strategy.
We need a sovereign move of God.
The church's number one priority.
He said, how's this going to change?
I say, how's that going to change?
How is drug addiction going to change?
I don't just put it all in one lump.
How is adultery going to change?
How's fornication going to change?
How's alcoholism going to change?
How's greed going to change?
How is cheating going to change?
Sin is sin.
And every sin has heightened in the United States.
How's the pornography industry going to change?
All of it.
We need a heaven-sent revival.
And Jesus said this, that his disciples came to him and said, we tried to cast out this evil spirit and couldn't.
And he said, that kind is only going to come out of this kind.
And it was a place of consistent prayer.
I believe where we're at right now will only be moved by a spirit of prayer that we all have got to come back to.
Every believer, more than television, more than pulpit preaching, we have got to be a people of prayer to be empowered to see this shift.
We need miracles.
Yes.
Yeah, we're Which we hear.
