Father's Role Revived 00:05:00
Mr. Lene, as a mother, every mother loves their little boy and every little boy loves their mother.
As a mother, you held that baby.
You rocked him to sleep.
You knew the cries.
You knew the language.
What did you feel like when your son came back home and he was different?
Well, it was very disconcerting and part of the problem was he didn't want to come back home because he knew he was getting confronted with the religion that we have taught him all these years.
And he didn't want to come back home.
For years, he did not even come back home because he felt a conviction of the Holy Spirit in our home that he wasn't feeling in the Christian college.
And this goes to your first point of why the education system needs to open up, why we need to have school choice back, because we need to have the schools teaching the same things that we're teaching our children at home.
And they're really trying to steal our children out from underneath us.
And part of the revival, I think, that's going to happen in the earth right now.
We've heard other people say it, even in Texas, there's a whole church contending for family revival.
They're not calling revival in the church.
They're talking about a revival in the family.
And it breaks your heart as a mother to see all the years, all the tears that you've put into your child and watch someone turn them the other way.
Wow.
I think every mother is relating to you right now.
Every mother has spent nights crying.
Every mother has spent asking for prayer in their prayer groups, asking everyone to intervene for their, there's nothing more precious to a mother than their children.
Sorry, husband.
Me, I'm a husband.
I became second.
As soon as the babies were in, already, you know, heartbeats were going.
I became second in the family.
But that's how much children mean to their mother.
That's true.
Isn't it amazing that what is being contended is family?
Out of any other thing, family is the number one subject that is being attacked, contended upon, is being challenged from what it means, the definition, to, yet, it goes back to the scripture.
And I believe this is a challenge to all the fathers at home.
And I rose the question during my message on Father's Day was this.
Write it down.
I'm always asking you to write it down because you're not going to remember what happens when a woman or when the wife, when the mother demands from the man, the son, the husband, what the man, the son, the husband can't deliver.
The man, the son, the husband gets stuck.
And when a father gets stuck, when a man gets stuck, when a son gets stuck, he runs.
He gets frustrated.
He gets angry.
He gets ashamed because finally his kryptonite has been discovered.
A man's kryptonite is being stuck.
He can't produce because a man is a source.
Everything comes out of the man.
The genes comes out of a man.
And when a man gets stuck, that becomes his kryptonite.
And when a man gets found out, he hides.
And you wonder why we have lack of leadership in the home.
Because there is none.
The man is hiding.
But you talk about in chapter 22 of Isaiah that a servant named Eliakim, named Eliakim.
This is important because this is a message for every father.
And this man was named by the Lord to carry out David's authority.
You got to explain this because the number one deficit in America is a fatherless home.
It's a role of a father in the home is the number one deficit.
It's a crisis.
As a matter of fact, one of the headlines came out a few days that the largest, the biggest crisis in America, in the nation, is a fatherless home.
One Year Later 00:02:50
Yet it begins with the father.
Talk about Isaiah chapter 2, 22, because it's the foundation of the turnaround decrees that will begin in the home.
Explain Isaiah 22.
Sure.
Well, Mondo, let me just say, fatherlessness began, you know, in my home.
You described exactly the paralysis that I felt.
I felt completely hopeless when we saw God move out here, and yet we didn't see any movement in prayer and dialogue when our son Jonathan was going through his crisis and, you know, spiraled into drugs and that kind of thing.
And just to complete this story, when the Lord gave Daniel 7, 22 that judgment in favor of the saints, restraining the enemy, releasing the saints to possess the kingdom, we felt the Lord saying we needed to pray every Tuesday.
We called it Turnaround Tuesday.
We'd pray Daniel 7.22 and pray for our sons and our daughters, our spiritual sons as well as our natural sons and daughters.
And within one year to the day, an absolute miracle occurred.
Our son Jonathan had an open vision of Jesus Christ compelling him to return home.
One year, we started Christmas Day 2014, and one year later, Christmas Day 2015, you know, on the day we celebrate Christ's birth, Christ was born anew in Jonathan's heart.
And that goes directly to Isaiah 22, because there's a man named Shebna who is using his rulership for personal gain at the expense of the people.
He's a leader in Israel, and he is using his platform for his own self-aggrandizement, own fame.
He's building a monument to himself in a day of governmental shaking.
And let me just share briefly why the shaking is occurring.
If you go back to Isaiah 22, 6, it says, Elam took up the quiver.
Ancient Elam is modern Iran.
Iran has the missiles today.
Elam had the quivers, the ancient prototype of missiles back then.
And they were invading Israel.
And this guy, Shebna, says, hey, let's eat and drink and be merry because, hey, tomorrow we might just die.
And God says, all right, that's it.
I've had it with you.
I've called you to a time of recovery, of prayer, fasting, repentance.
Instead, you're eating meat, drinking wine, slaughtering sheep.
You're out of here.
Father Of The Nation 00:00:47
And I'm summoning my servant Eliakim.
And his qualification is that he was a persevering father for his children.
And God knew that Eliakim would then become a persevering father on behalf of his nation.
He said, I'm summoning my servant Eliakim.
And he's going to be a father to the house of Judah or Israel and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
In other words, a father to the capital city as well as to the nation.
And living in Washington, D.C., I'm going to tell you, the qualification for rulership as far as I'm concerned is you're going to be a father or a mother to this nation, and you're going to invest in your sons and daughters to bring them forward instead of building a platform for your own gain at everybody else's expense.
