The Spirit's Power and God's Heart

| James, you delivered a message here on Gray Street yesterday. | |
| I'm going to roll a piece of the clip from that message and then I want you to talk about it. | |
| I was made to be involved in what he was doing on the earth. | |
| That's why he put me here on this earth at this time and he kept me here. | |
| If you've lived through the past two years, he kept you here. | |
| Well, come to find out that really he's only doing the one thing as far as the body of Christ is concerned. | |
| Listen now, Matthew 16 tells us, I will build my church. | |
| Can I tell you this? | |
| That since Jesus proclaimed that, that's the one thing he's been doing. | |
| He's been building the church. | |
| So the church of Jesus Christ is what he's building. | |
| Why is that? | |
| Again, because he said, I will build my church. | |
| So think about this. | |
| Jesus is personally himself involved in building the church. | |
| Well, can I tell you this? | |
| Because he's doing it himself. | |
| That means we're going to make it. | |
| It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my spirit. | |
| Can I tell you this? | |
| That the outpouring of the Spirit of God, my, my, my, listen, I sense the Spirit of God rising even as I say. | |
| The outpouring of the Spirit of God, the flow of the Spirit of God, the moving of the Spirit of God, is the end time sign for the church. | |
| And I don't understand. | |
| And may we never comprehend what it means to come to church and not have the move of the Spirit of God. | |
| I'll tell you this. | |
| The moving of the Spirit of God is the end time sign. | |
| You couldn't talk about the end times and not talk about the move of the Spirit of God. | |
| You couldn't talk about the move of the Spirit of God without talking about the end times. | |
| They wanted the same thing. | |
| You see, I found this many times. | |
| Many times the people who talk about the end times don't want to talk about the Holy Ghost. | |
| Many times the people who talk about the Holy Ghost don't want to talk about the end times, but really in Acts chapter 2, they wanted the same thing. | |
| But boy, when you have the Spirit of God flowing on the inside of you, you can see all that's happening around you and you can understand that greater is he that's on the inside of you, that he that's in the world, and that in Christ and through Christ and by Christ, you can do all things. | |
| And you say, well, what about the lost? | |
| What about all those who don't know Jesus yet? | |
| They will be reached, but by and through the church. | |
| And how is the church going to reach them without the Holy Ghost? | |
| Jesus said, stay in Jerusalem until you be empowered from on high so that you can be witnesses for me. | |
| There is coming the power of the Holy Spirit back on the church. | |
| More than ever before, we need the gifts and demonstrations and manifestations again in the church. | |
| Praise God. | |
| Thank you, Lord. | |
| You preach that a true prophecy will come with a message of hope. | |
| Tell us more about that in your message. | |
| Because that's God's heart. | |
| And true prophecy is an expression, a verbalization, an articulation of the heart of God on the earth. | |
| And God's heart is for people. | |
| God's heart is for the lost. | |
| God's heart is for hope and restoration, help and healing. | |
| Now, there is something that we need help from. | |
| There is something that we need to be restored from. | |
| And if we're not careful, we'll be talking all about that without understanding and stating clearly that God's heart is that in whatever darkness we see coming. | |
| And boy, there is a lot of darkness we see coming. | |
| But God's heart is to save us from that. | |
| This is why the Spirit of God was given to the church to empower the believers. | |

Dark Times, Light Hope

| That we could rise up as light in this darkness. | |
| Yes. | |
| Amen. | |
| Boy, the first church is really something, wasn't it? | |
| When you really think about it and study it and you read it, it was really amazing. | |
| And they lived in some dark time. | |
| They did. | |
| You talk about persecution. | |
| You talk about killing. | |
| Oh, my God. | |
| They lived in some dark times. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Everything that you're talking about, they experienced it at that level as well. | |
| That's right. | |
| They were hunted down. | |
| They were hunted down. | |
| Fetter animals. | |
| Yes. | |
| And all that other. | |
